No JET, no Vela, no Tomas but we risked an unfit Cesc and Robin, how stupid was that!!

I’m still feeling pretty raw over the way we performed on Sunday and after chewing the cud, some of the players Wenger played makes little sense. Robin van Persie was risked as we know and yesterday it became clear that Cesc Fabregas was a bit of a risk too.

Wenger on RVP –

We pushed him in too early because I had to do something. You saw it was very difficult for us to score a goal and there is always a set-piece or a cross or a pass where he can make a difference.

It is a plus to have Van Persie back but you can see he is not ready.

So why did Wenger include van Persie in the squad when he clearly isn’t 100% fit?

Where was Carlos Vela? Where was Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and why didn’t a fit Tomas Rosicky come on instead of risking Robin van Persie?

Well, I’ll tell you where JET was, he was gearing himself up for yesterday afternoon’s reserves game. A game which saw him score two goals, the second being described as outstanding… The reserves beat Everton 4-1 and at home!!

And, where was Carlos Vela? He’s not listed as injured…..

Then there was Cesc Fabregas…..

Cesc say’s

The good news is there is no tear on the hamstring, nothing. It’s just a little bit of fluid, but it keeps coming back. It’s outside the muscle, the ‘skin’ of the muscle. It’s not really a muscle injury, it’s fluid that keeps coming back and it’s very annoying.
We are working on it, looking at my hips because they are always very tight. We have to work on it but also understand that I am 23-years-old and I’ve played many, many games.

Soon I will play my 200th Premier League game as well as nearly 60 for the national team and 60 in the Champions League. So that’s a lot of games for my age and I have to take care of myself.

Nasri, Rosicky and even Wilshere could have played alongside Song, in fact the youngest of the three was one of the better players against Newcastle, he obviously loves the club he plays for and doesn’t need to be motivated. He is a true professional and puts in a good shift every time he dons his shirt. Nasri seems to be similar; he has grown and is clearly enjoying playing…

There was little reason to risk Cesc, in fact playing him was more detrimental to the team’s performance in my opinion he was so poor.

We have a squad, why the heck don’t we use it when we need to…..

Tomorrow could be interesting…..

Morning WATH, cheeky, i was busy for a change 😉

Hi RSD, lobg time and all that, all good thanks, how’s you? Still bitter about Sunday….

  2. rico says:

Hi RG Action, feel for the lad, he is low on confidence and needs to be playing… don’t suppose he would have been any worse than the rest on sunday, in fact he possibly would have been better… not that that would be difficult!

  3. Red Arse says:

    Afternoon Rico, 🙂

Crikey, WATH and RSD both on at the same time! 🙂

I wish AW would show as much confidence in JET as he has shown in JW. It could be very worthwhile.

You know I have been watching the youth teams for about 5 years, including attending matches when poss. You will also know that I find AW’s belief in Eastmond unfathomable. Well, in the same way I saw 4 years ago had brilliant Jack was, I also thought the tall skinny JET, who has now developed his physique was equally brilliant. He should play! To quote WATH, “end of”.

Another one who is just as good and possibly better than both JW and JET is Chuks Anneke. Just watch this space! 🙂

  4. W.A.T.H says:

Don’t you mean me RSD and you RA seems your here even less than me cos your off on your blog travels lol 😀
We now have a few players knocking on the door and yet AW ain’t playing them, Lansbury a prime example of a player who gets stuck in give effort has attitude and loves the shirt, more than a fair few on sunday. oh and yeh end of 😀

  5. W.A.T.H says:

I thought Tom Cruise was filming mission impossible 4 and yet he found time to play 4 Carlisle at the weekend 2………. Impressive..!

  6. rico says:

Hi RA, better late than never… the post i mean, not your arrival 😉

RSD – i thought that was interesting what wenger said about JET, he obviously believes he has something but i dont think he believe he has the right mental attitude… just as Oliver said yesterday, they are all given too much and too soon…

  7. Red Arse says:

    WATH,

I think AW might be trying to keep the wraps on Chuks, like he originally did with Jack, so I don’t suppose he will play him.

I would do a Kevin Keegan and “loove it, really loove it” if he got a game. 🙂 End of! You see what a bad influence you are on me? 🙂

  8. W.A.T.H says:

Rico, clearly far to many of these youngsters think they have made it with a 5yr contract and not even a first team game… All about hunger and attitude and wanting to play yet seems most happy to go through the motions maybe..?

  9. rico says:

WATH, Lansbury is the one I really like, he has been so patient, kept his head down, fought back after being ill for a long time and now is his time… being around the first team, getting the cameo appearance is good, i look forward to him being in the first team…. big time..

  10. sammynelsonsbum says:

Good day to you all, especially you Lady of The House.
A tend to agree with several of the younger players having attitude problems but as we discussed yesterday are they not wrapped in cotton wool far to early and pampered as superstars when yet to prove they are even worth a chance in an Arsenal shirt?.

  11. rico says:

RSD, i didn’t see that game but Afobe is another one doing everything right, don’t think i’ve seen his name anywhere other than for football reasons…

WATH, that Cruise one is so bad 😉

  12. Red Arse says:

    RSD,

I did watch Benik play and he did not get too many chances, but you watch him go when he gets used to his team mates.

I think what AW said about JET was in the context of “he can be anything he wants (in football) it depends on how much he wants it”.

He wants it alright, but getting so much money so young, he wants to spend it and show off. I think Arsene meant he needs to be more disciplined of the pitch and not take lessons from the likes of Andy Carroll and shag for England. (Personally, I think I’d prefer to ….., but enough of that!) 🙂

  13. rico says:

WATH, lansbury is one who has the right attitude, his face was a picture after scoring against the tiny totts…

  14. rico says:

Hi sammy, i think they are too, they need a smaked butt sometimes and told to grow some and put in a proper shift for 90 minutes….

  15. RB10 says:

Completely agree!! Jet is on fire and to my knowledge is playing in the right wing position that Theo currently holds. I just think 4-5-1 at home doesn’t suit us.

It may look like 4-3-3 but we know teams will sit deep so it’s far more beneficial to put on an extra striker.

Whilst I didn’t mind seeing RVP come on (he did show some neat touches and looked to open them up a few times) I’d have much prefereed to see him come on to play upfront with Chamahk who is our best in the air from an attacking position. RVP could whip balls into him and support the front man better than Cesc who probably had his worst game for Arsenal.

JET is quality and needs a run out massively _ Denilson, Djourou and Fabianski did less than JET in their spell in the reserves but managed to get full run outs. I’d like to see him involved on Wednesday he must be buzzing plus he would link up fantastically well with Wilshire (both won the youth academy and FA youth Cup together).

I think at home we need to have 2 strikers on the pitch with 4 in midfield (not necessarily wide men but four ball playing midfielders who can create and dictate the game.

    Team for Wolves 4-4-2

    Szezza

    Eboue
    Clichy
    Djourou
    Squillaci

    Wilshire
    Song
    Nasri
    Cesc

    Chamakh
    Walcott

    Subs
    Fabianski
    Sagna
    JET
    Bendtner
    Rocisky
    Vela
    RVP

  16. rico says:

RA, i kind of took wengers comment as ‘if he is prepared to work hard’ i think i said before, he’s not convinced me yet but i sure hope he does and soon…

  17. sammynelsonsbum says:

No argument from me there House Lady, they need to be cleaning boots and sweeping the north bank and learing the meaning of what it’s like to be a pro footballer, that seems to of been lost in the last decade or so with all this money pouring in from Sky and tv right and sponsors etc etc..!. I agree with WATH on the Lansbury call as well anyone who enjoys beating those neandethols down the rd should be playing a lot more

  18. Red Arse says:

    WATH,

Did you say you are off to cruise? 🙂

Oddly enough, Tom Cruise has said he wants to become a star name. Is that humour or naivety? Either way I hope he succeeds.

  19. W.A.T.H says:

Hey Sammy, keeps those shorts on fella 😀 Now you talking, get the youth team and reserves to sweep the bowl out after every home game, that’ll beat swanning off in their brand new Porsche…! Don’t know they born..!

  20. rico says:

Hi RB10, welcome to Highbury House, good to see you…

I’m all for playing JET, he’s come through the ranks and maybe like Wilshere he has a little bit more love for the club he plays for that a few…

Don’t get me wrong, I have no issue with overseas players in our squad, never will but i am now of the opinion that during the games like WBA and Newcastle we need a few ‘London Boys’ in the mix, look at the effort Jack put in while some around him just couldn’t be bothered….

London Boys, now what did they sing…. 😉

  21. sammynelsonsbum says:

WATH my good man, alas the NB is no more to show of my rear, I will indeed keep the shorts on at my age i’d scare many a person.

  22. sammynelsonsbum says:

RB10, we were saying the very same thing on here yesterday that the formation just does not suit us or work for us.

  23. rico says:

sammy, that’s spot on, didn’t charlie george start out cleaning boots, sure i watched an i/v with him and bob wilson and he said that’s how it started for him…. 🙂

Hard to imagine now isn’t it but it did them all the world of good i’m sure….

neandethols – thats an insult to them to be compared with that shower of s……

  24. W.A.T.H says:

I agree with all this formation bollox….. Attack and defend properly and what exactly is all this 451 433 442 crap its making a game complicated again, adult players should know exactly what to do and where and when… End of 😉

  25. rico says:

that link just about sums up players of today RSD, why is he not out training all day instead of ‘tweeting’ 😉

  26. W.A.T.H says:

I know a few others who used to clean boots and sweep out the dressing rooms and that wasn’t a million moons ago either…! Pampered is the word for sure AND overpaid…!

  27. W.A.T.H says:

Am off for a bit got a meeting to go to and NO Rico it’s not in a pub……………

    Its a wine bar 😛

    Lata all………….

  28. sammynelsonsbum says:

Excellent comment WATH, as said we were discussing the merits of the numbers formation yesterday and I for one think far to much is made out of it as well. Players need to think and behave and take the responsibility on the pitch to alter things and a formation should never be set or rigid.

  29. sammynelsonsbum says:

I’m merely being polite Rico as you are The Lady of The House.

Sky creates it’s own aura of saving English football and yet they are resposible for making it the money machine that it has become at the expense of the man on the street.

  30. leebo says:

Wenger’s screwed up again. He can’t handle the pressure his decision making is awful always has been. Rosicky should be livid, hes playing the best football of his time at Arsenal and doesnt get a look in, disgrace.

  31. sammynelsonsbum says:

RSD, yes I will agree with you that the standard of football has improved but would that not of happened anyway with the fact the financial bubble was due to burst in Italy anyway ? Far to many ifs n buts so we will never know.

  32. rico says:

RSD, cant disagree there but a few things have been to the detriment along the way… still, thats the way life changes i guess, maybe i am just old and grumpy 😆

  33. rico says:

Hi leebo, the only reason i can think that tomas didn’t play is he played midweek… i’d have bought him on though and in place of cesc!

  34. Erick says:

much been said about the loss but in all fairness that was one of our strongest squad in a while and Aw did the subs earlier than i expected him to but to bring on RVP was a sign of desperateness Rosicky was cleary the best option to change the game especiallyu with his directness

  35. Steve says:

I might be a lone voice here but I would also have played JD on Sunday. He may have looked a little rusty at times recently but I think he is the best defender we have fit in the aerial battles. I know that Fabianski has had all the flak for Newcastle’s goal but I would suggest that if you give the best ‘centre-forward’ currently in the EPL a free header he will score against any goalkeeper.

  36. oliver says:

morning all. i cannot say i am surprised that arsene is risking long term injuries to key players by bringing them back before they are ready – hugely disappointed that he still does this, but not surprised.

oh, for a strong number two. someone that will not simply sit there and drink arsene’s kool aid. someone that will serves as a conscience of sorts, and ask him “is this really a good idea?” “why don’t we try this instead?”…

  37. rico says:

Steve, JD is getting a lot of bad press right now in the blog world and i for one do not understand why, he was out the whole of last season and is despite looking a tad rusty he grows in each game. if kos doesn’t get his card overturned he will get his chance to prove his critics wrong….

  38. Erick says:

Steve spot on mate i do not blame Fab for that goal at all people are just looking for an excuxe and am surprised AW seem to blame Fab

  39. rico says:

Hi K-TR7, i’m sterering clear of the wenger affair, i don’t actually believe he has done much wrong, if the stories are to hold any truth…

  40. sammynelsonsbum says:

Steve, Carroll only had a free header because Fabianski clearly called for the ball and then waited for the ball to come to him he hardly jumped to catch the ball at it’s highest point as then not a player on the planet could outjump a keeper with arms at full extention.

  41. rico says:

Hi oliver, for such a clever man and great manager he is, he does often play a dangerous game with injuries.

We all wonder why but I can only draw from that is he doesn’t trust his squad entirely. If that is the case then he is to blame for not buying a bit more depth…

  42. rico says:

Erick, i blame Fabianski, he should have got to that ball, he waited to long and allowed carroll in to head home… School boy error in my book 😉

  43. oliver says:

hiya erick…doing fine and thanks for the shout-out…

like rico, i plan to stay well clear of the allegations regarding arsene’s private life. i do not think they had much effect on the team performance, and there is no actual evidence they were a distraction for our manager. besides, it is all alleged at this point…

  44. K-TR7 says:

The atmosphere of the Emirates is very poor!i wonder what should be done to improve it since it is such a big stadium…crouch missing a free header and slamming the bar would get the crowd going…any more ideas?

  45. gazzap says:

so the criticism is that Cesc should not have played against Newcastle. surely thats just with the benefit of hindight? Would you start him against Wolves?
Even with all the evidence of Sunday, MOST Gooners would start cesc at molineux.

  46. oliver says:

hi rico…agree completely – if he feels that we don’t have enough options in the squad, then he has let us down by not investing in what we need. i can appreciate it is a very difficult balance between having too large or two small a squad. and i am sure arsene abhors having someone waste away on the bench – other than carlos vela perhaps – contributing nothing to the team. he have an over-abundance of players in certain positions (central midfield), yet lack options in defence, particularly the back four. i have long thought our squad’s makeup is unbalanced. when we have injuries to indispensible first team members, we start to see either square pegs in round holes, of half-fit players being needlessly risked because arsene does particularly like his other options.

  47. K-TR7 says:

Hi gazzap,Erick and oliver.despite cesc’s hammy letting him down he still created our best chances.in the PL only he creates 4.4 chances a game which is the highest.i hope Aw doesn’t take any unnecessary risks with cesc and rvp10 as we need them in the most decisive games.

  48. oliver says:

of course it is hindsight. when the starting lineups were announced, i thought “good, cesc is fit again”. however, it turns out he was not fit – which makes this a poor decision. i did not know cesc’s status beforehand – but arsene did, and many of us think he took an unnecessary risk with cesc. it’s not like we won the match with a half-fit cesc, is it? i personally think arsene should have known better…and i think many others on this forum share that view.

  49. Erick says:

KT the atmosphere is another issue never been to the emirates and no where near it but you can tell the away support is always vocal when the camera is passes through to be fair the Emirate need so changes

  50. sammynelsonsbum says:

Hi Erick, look at Kos and you will see he clearly stops as if he’s had the shout from the keeper, it’s a natural reaction to stop like that and then the replays clearly show him stop start stop start and then try to catch the ball in front of his face, basis error in technique which is what we were chatting about on here yesterday.

  51. oliver says:

morning k…i was hoping wilshere’s emergence as a creative, first-choice central midfielder meant that we could afford to be more responsible with cesc and his hammy…seems not to be the case. and if cesc is not ready for tomorrow, i would not have him in the squad. for me, it is no choice – someone else has to step up, we should not put cesc at long-term risk by playing him when he is not fit. same with robin – as regards that, now that he made an appearance sunday, i full expect van marwijk to play him at some point next week.

  52. rico says:

hi oliver, we do have many midfielders but they are all attacking ones, we only really have song and frimpong who are true defensive players, even though denilson plays defensively, i don’t consider him to be DM.. hope that makes sense…

alos agree, we are very light weight in the defence which could very well get exposed if TV doesn’t come back, Kos doesn’t win his appeal and the either Squilli of JD get injured…

  53. K-TR7 says:

I have seen some suggestions:throw a spud fan into the crowd, burning spud flags, throwing dead cockrels onto the pitch…

  54. rico says:

spot-on oliver, i thought the same as you before the game, great he’s fit, within ten minutes it was clear h wasn’t. his bodya language was all so wrong… that could very well have reflected on all the players…

  55. K-TR7 says:

Oliver i am puzzled as to why Aw is not playing Rosicky as he is the closest thing to cesc.tomas is one of our most dynamic players and is even more direct than cesc.we have invested alot in his rehabilitation and its time we showed some faith in him.

  56. oliver says:

not sure what is up with rosicky. when arshavin lost his starting berth, i thought rosicky would start. he is creative, experienced, and unlike much of a squad, has won a major domestic league title (almost a decade ago, with Dortmund)…

perhaps there are more issues with this squad than we realize…

  57. rico says:

KT, that’s exactly what i am saying, why risk cesc when we have an on form Rosicky?? Its just crazy…

wenger is too frightened to upset cesc, that what its about, i think….

  58. K-TR7 says:

I also saw suggestions that Rvp10 will have to fight for his place with chamakh and that he wasn’t needed.rvp may be injury prone but if he is fit he is our best forward hands down.when rvp takes a corner/free kick you anticipate a goal since he has superb delivery unlike now we look hopeless in this sitiuations.watch him take a penalty and you’ll see his unique technique will send it into the top or bottom corner.his first touch is the best in the squad which is very useful in tight areas against park the bus opponents.even against the barcodes he showed this aspect.he also shoots on sight which unsettles defenses…i love Chamakh but he will always be behind a fit rvp10 as he offers much more to the table.

  59. rico says:

Hi A&N, good to see you…

Considering wenger goes on abouth playing and trusting in the youth, sunday he had the chance to use JET and give RvP another week, why didn’t he??

Is it to do with the reserve players going on loan and therefore they struggle to field a winning squad so the likes of JET and Lansbury have been called back to play for them….

  60. rico says:

KT, i think RvP and Chamakh would make a great team up front rather than either or… agree re the free kick and corners, especially the latter, they are dire…

  61. K-TR7 says:

I am wary of JET since his royal pinkiness and Lupoli used to tear up the reserves but look at them now.Aw has a right to be cautious since the gap between the reserves and first team is very big.

  62. The BearMan says:

A player will have to be extremely lucky to come of the bench, play for 5 or 10 mins and be expected to make an impact in any game. The JET is the player Arsenal is desperately in need of right now.

The JET needs to be given 45 mins then a start for his ability to be let loose. He already understands the Arsenal system of play, and by holding a player back when they are on their best form will only serve to dampen their courage.

  63. sammynelsonsbum says:

BearMan, I think all players need far more than five minutes to make any kind of impact on a match, I’d say all need to come on for at least the last twenty mins. JET is physically exactly what we want and has very good feet. Maybe time for AW to take the bull by the horns a little.

  64. SD-London says:

    Well i thought you guys knew why he risked RVP;

HE could see everybody on the pitch was not playing well and he got desperate because there was always the possibility of Chelsea dropping points.

Unfortunately his fears were realized, we lost and Chelsea dropped 3 points.

But if RVP had scored or assisted a goal then Wenger would have being a genius.

As for Cesc , Wenger would have asked him if he could play and i am sure Cesc would have said yes ,which obviously was a bad decision.

When things don’t work out , coaches always keep their best players on the pitch even if they are playing badly , they believe they can still do something special even when clearly struggling.

  65. sammynelsonsbum says:

SD-L, If his reason for RVP being on the bench was a “what if” then he is desperately clutching at straws amd as Rico said earlier has very little faith in his fringe players. We all know how brittle RVP is and the risk far outweighed the positive of putting him on the bench. AW is a stickler for statistics he would of known Cesc wasn’t fit absolute spupidity to of risked him.

  66. SD-London says:

Well what i got from Wenger fielding RVP was that RVP is definitely out of injury for probably 2 weeks now but Wenger was just being patient.
If not the Dutch coach wouldn’t have called him if he didn’t know he was fit but definitely he still needed match fitness.

RVP will play tomorrow and play a little in the international then he will be properly match fit by that time.

  67. oliver says:

i see we lost the koscielny appeal. so now song becomes our backup in the centre. we have to really hope that squillaci and djourou can make it through the wolves and everton fixtures unscathed…

  68. RSD says:

tv might be back soon tho so thats their’s decent back up and djourou had his best game of the season v shaktar so looks capable

  69. RSD says:

tv might be back soon tho so thats their’s decent back up and djourou had his best game of the season v shaktar so looks capable

  70. rico says:

oliver, exactly what we were saying earlier, why did they reduce to a two match ban i wonder… should have been three….

  71. oliver says:

rico, it was originally only a two match ban. as i understand, a straight red for “violent conduct” gets three matches, while a straight red for anything else – such as “professional foul” gets only two.

i suppose we should be lucky they didn’t increase the ban on the “frivolous” grounds. i don’t think the appeal was “frivolous”, but i was not confident the fa would overturn it either…

  72. SD-London says:

we where going to loose it anyways.

Arsenal just wanted to give them job to do .

I dont think JET would have made any difference on Sunday, he is not ready.

  73. oliver says:

rsd, we can only hope tv will be back soon…i am not confident that he will be fit anytime soon, and i am now concerned that arsene will be tempted to push things with him as well.

there has been discussion today about risking half-fit, key players. my stance is that – unless there is absolutely no other option (and that indicates an entirely different set of problems) – neither cesc or anyone else should be risked if they are not fully fit. prolonged absences are a chronic problem with this arsenal side – i think arsene’s penchant to err on the side of abandon has been a significant contributing factor. the side clearly loses something when someone like cesc is unavailable. but as we saw on sunday, playing him when not fit takes even more away from the side. what is the point of even having a squad if we are going to play unfit players?

  74. rico says:

thanks oliver, i didn’t realise that, i also worried about the extra game but KT said yesterday that only happens when its a violent conduct offence, don’t the FA make it difficult….

  75. Red Arse says:

    Oliver, Rico,

The red card offence Kozzer got sent off for had a one match ban.

Because he had been sent off previously, he got an extra one match ban.

If his appeal had been deemed “frivolous”, he would have received another one match ban. Fortunately it was not seen to be so.

  76. rico says:

    Hi RA,

The rules say, ‘The FA also retains the power to seek an increase in the standard punishment in respect of dismissals for violent conduct or serious foul play offences where appropriate’

Kos comitted neither of the above so the frivolous doesn’t come into play…

  77. oliver says:

ra, thanks for clarifying that. i saw something mentioning his second red card in the context of two matches. now i understand what that meant.

  78. Red Arse says:

    Rico,

You said that as I was arguing with you? To help with the exact wording here we go.

    (b) PLAYERS SENT OFF UNDER LAW 12 (7)
A Player who is dismissed from the Field of Play for receiving a second caution in the same match will be suspended automatically from all approved First Team matches commencing forthwith, until such time as his Club’s First Team has completed its next match in an approved Competition.

    (c) PLAYERS SENT OFF UNDER LAW 12 (4) and (5)
A Player who is dismissed from the Field of Play for denying a goal or an obvious goalscoring opportunity by physical means or by handling the ball, will be suspended automatically from all approved First Team matches commencing forthwith, until such time as his Club’s First Team has completed its next match in an approved Competition.

    (d) PLAYERS SENT OFF UNDER LAW 12 (6)
A Player who is dismissed from the Field of Play for using offensive or insulting or abusive language/gestures, whether he has previously been cautioned in the match or not, will be suspended automatically from all approved First Team matches commencing forthwith, and until such time as his Club’s First Team has completed its next two matches in approved Competitions.

    (e) PLAYERS SENT OFF UNDER LAW 12 (1), (2) and (3)
A Player who is dismissed from the Field of play for Violent Conduct, Serious Foul Play or spitting at an opponent or any other person, whether he has previously been cautioned in the match or not, will be suspended automatically from playing football in any match including non-First Team matches commencing forthwith and until such time as his Club’s First Team has completed its next three matches in approved Competitions.

  79. Red Arse says:

There we go, red card bans can be for 1, 2 or 3 matches.

In addition, if in the opinion of the FA disciplinary panel any appeal against a red card ban is deemed frivolous, the tariff will be increased by one match.

  80. rico says:

I only mentioned the frivolous bit RA, the red card Kos received didn’t firt the criteria to add a one match ban….

  81. Red Arse says:

    Rico,

I am no expert, of course, but the ability to increase the match ban tariff for serious foul play, is not quite the same thing as the frivolous regulation.

That has nothing to do with the actual offence, but it is to stop a pillock appealing because his mum wants him to kiss a gnome! 🙂

i hope sunderland get something oliver, i really do – for us i think its about staying clear from those behind us….

  83. oliver says:

spuddys are five points behind, so they won’t leapfrog us, regardless of what happens tonight. still, i won’t deny i would be happy to see steve bruce’s outfit keep them in their place…

  84. oliver says:

of course, the mackems are level with the spuddies, so if there is a winner tonight, that side will be only two points behind us going into tomorrow.

more than anything we need to take care of our own business. if we can start winning again, we will keep a healthy distance from those chasing us.

  85. oliver says:

rico, i would say that if arsene doesn’t realize how important tomorrow is, then we have a serious, serious problem…

  86. rico says:

so would i oliver, this is possibly one the most important times for him in a while, the morale must be pretty low in the camp and it’s his job to get them back to believe in themselves…

  87. rico says:

oliver, i’m departing now, you have a good evening and catch up tomorrow sometime…

enjoy the rest of your day… here’s to us getting back on track tomorrow…

    nighty night and stay safe….
