New signing imminent! Today we need to spank the Mancs and stop the rot!

I was talking to a friend yesterday about our goalkeeping situation, wondering who Wenger’s going to bring in for cover. He suggested it would be Mad Jens! I just chuckled knowing he was joking. Sadly though, I now think he was being serious and all the paps today say Jens is ready to help out, in fact he’ jump at the chance.

My heart sank, surely Wenger wouldn’t be so daft, would he?……….

Anyway…..

What a horrid few days we have been through and still we have to read the pundits ridiculing our midweek display against Barca. Well, no more on here eh, time to get behind the club and join Wenger in his view about ‘time for the players to show bottle’!

Don’t be Old Trafford bottlers’.

That’s what Wenger has told his players and I for one agree.

I don’t know when we last won at Old Trafford off the top of my head and to be honest, I couldn’t care either, it’s all about the here and now, that is what’s important today.

Only a short time ago we were in all four competitions, now it’s down to two and these two matter. For me personally, they are the two that matter most. I love the FA Cup and there is nothing better than seeing Sky Sports squirming throughout the summer and the following season when having to refer to us as ‘the current league champions’ or even the ‘double winners’ is there?

Yes, it’s been a long time but today we can, if we apply ourselves, take one tiny step forward to achieving this again!

Fergie says he is going to field his strongest side, so what eh. Having watched Liverpool tear that side apart last weekend I don’t think our players should be afraid of who he fields. Vidic is back in defence for them but he’s always good for a penalty or a red card so all we need to do is get him in the position to make his errors, we won’t if we don’t get the ball in the box.

They won’t have Nani thanks to Jamie Carragher’s dreadful tackle last weekend but what does make me laugh is Nani saying he doesn’t ever want to watch the replay of the incident. Ok, it’s wasn’t the best but it was nowhere near what Eduardo and Rambo had to suffer was it?

On to us,Wenger also says he will field a strong side, good we don’t have another game until next weekend. They have a week to recover after today and please let’s not think they need a rest after Tuesday, they are fit grown men, that game was four days ago, they should be gagging to get back out on the football pitch and get our club into the next round of the FA Cup.

Hopefully Almunia will perform in a similar fashion as in midweek, as will the defence in front of him.

Cesc, Vermaelen, Theo and Song are the major absentees for us – Rambo will hopefully step in for Cesc and I guess Denilson will replace Song. But then with Wenger you just never know, he may just stand by Diaby – just hope they don’t play together, it doesn’t work.

Today isn’t only about the FA Cup it’s about beating the club that sit three points above us in the league. They still have to come to The Emirates.

Let’s get the win today, get into the next round of the cup and put a little bit of doubt in the minds of the Mancs.

Win this mental and physical battle today and it will set us up nicely for the remainder of the season.

The question is, will they?

Have a good day all…

Yes, this could be true. Jen’s was originally due to link up in the summer to join the coaching staff

  2. Osi says:

“‘the current league champions’ or even the ‘double winners’ is there?”

Would love to see stupid “You’ve won nothing’ pundits to refer as the ‘double winners’? would be a vindication, wouldn’t it?

  3. Osi says:

Mad Jens? What? I thought you were joking but that story have substance as it’s picked up by others. If that’s true, then there is a reason for it which is that bringing Mad Jens would bring the best of Almunia. Remember his best years come when he competed with Mad Jens.

  4. rico says:

Morning Osi – would be just fine wouldn’t it 🙂

Paul, one year older than a GK who is just about to retire, mme, makes sense eh… !!

    Morning jj

Almunia will be pleased, they never did get on…

  5. JonJon says:

they detest eachother..jens always thought manny was shit…
and almunia was never any good when jens was here, but jens was starting to make regular clangers and wenger didnt want to spend 10mil on shay given to replace him so we got stuck with another keeper who made even more clangers…
turns out jens was right, but when does aw ever listen

  6. Joaquim Moreira says:

    good morning all!
    here the sun shinning…
I’m waiting calm and in relax for the match this afternoon. I expect and hope our victory. Nani is out but comparing to those in our squad out, I think we are again, in the bad side.
I hope our performance will be better than the match for the League a few months ago. Our tradition this year is draw the fist match.. now, will be good.
    Have a nice day!

  7. rico says:

    Hi JM,

I think Nani is the ‘main’ of their side and him missing is good news..

Don’t know why but tonight I think we will get a least a replay…

Maybe thats because the sun in shining here too 🙂

  8. JonJon says:

id settle for a replay rico
but they’ll have more of their players back by then and we dont need another game…
lets just take the chance weve got today and beat them while they are on their knees

  9. rico says:

if it’s the difference between staying in the cup jj, i’d take a replay but i think we can win it…

  10. Merlin96 says:

    Morning all.

Oh yes, this TEAM will perform today.
The trend is that they usually upped their game against BIG CLUB with away form better than home form.

Goen are the defensive frailities as of last year and there is a steely determination in our defence with DJourou’s coming of age and Koscielny adapting well to English Football.

Plus of coruse..Jack Wilshere’s determination and “never-say-die” performances.

If Nasri and Arshavin play as they can, they can win against a ManU side, I think, with 10 senior players sidelined by injuries.

    Key Player:
    Arshavin at his very best.

  11. LKW says:

jens is expirenced & has won things, he was part of our ‘invincibles’. He could have good affect on the team & he don’t mind telling people if they aint pulling their weight.

  12. W.A.T.H says:

A quote in the paper today from the late great David Rocastle following the ‘Winterburn – McClair’ Mass Brawl in 1990 at Old Trafford :

“It was our team mate, our blood brother, in trouble. They were kicking Nigel like a nightclub brawl. That’s what got us upset. We went in there and we stuck up for each other. At Arsenal we never, ever started any brawls – we just finsihed them”

If only he was playing today and a few more like him ! – It’s time for this team to stand up and fight and make us proud. RIP Rocky.

  13. Steve Palmer says:

    Afternoon All,
Will, read your link, makes you wonder if Hill Wood is worried that we may get banned from the cl, Wouldn’t help the profits would it,looks like it is all about money, and not about fairness. This is one of the worst refereeing decisions I have ever witnessed, and we have to put it behind us, as if it didn’t happen, that says it all

  14. W.A.T.H says:

Steve, Hill-Wood needs to be wheeled back to where ever he came from, fed a gin and tonic and told to shut up…! Instead of being all politically correct perhaps he should be more worried about looking after the injustice and making a point so the fans don’t feel totally shafted.

  15. W.A.T.H says:

Fuckin joke, why bring Ramsey back from Cardiff and not play him…? dumb and dumber playing is another piss take and accident waiting to happen yet again, When will Wenger learn these two cant play together, this mans ego and stubborness holds no bounds…….

  16. rico says:

No Ramsey… how bloody silly is that…

And D&D together…. not sure i’m going to bother watching….

  17. W.A.T.H says:

We need a team thats going to compete to beat the mancs and yet he picks the same old shit in midfield, Jack must despair playing with them to clowns, I give up…! Ain’t gonna piss myself off watching now, really can’t be arsed with them two in the team.

  18. W.A.T.H says:

Rico, can’t believe he yet again picks them two in midfield, they couldnt even manage a sweat against Sunderland.

  19. rico says:

maybe they’ll surprise us, they normally play one good game a season and it hasn’t happened yet….

  20. rico says:

Ref is Chris Foy, is he another who dislikes us?

Think so Will but not confirmed on afc.com… no surprise there though

  21. W.A.T.H says:

mancs have picked a workman like team which will yet again graft and end up winning cos we can’t graft…! Yep thats the team Will.

  22. rico says:

    Team in full:

Almunia, Sagna, Koscielny, Djourou, Gibbs, Diaby, Denilson, Nasri, Wilshere, Arshavin, Van Persie

Subs: Shea, Rosicky, Squillaci, Ramsey, Eboue, Chamakh, Gibbs

    Ramsey on the bench then….

  23. Will says:

I can see him and Rooney scoring against us. I also think this will be rough so I hope the ref is strong.

  24. rico says:

I just hope we don’t give away silly free kicks and corners etc, we all know how good Al is on crosses 🙁

  25. rico says:

Hi oliver, that’s a million dollar question, i’m not very confident though since seeing our line up….

  26. oliver says:

Not particularly liking what I am seeing. We still look intimidated…foy is giving us nothing, no surprise there…

  27. oliver says:

That was awful….no guts no pressure on the d, little heart…are we really going to go down without a whimper?

  28. Will says:

I wish we could get rid of this “played the ball” myth. It is the intent of the tackle nit if you get the fucking ball or not otherwise you could get the ball and let your foot swing up and kick the players face off.

  29. Joaquim Moreira says:

Always the same !!!!… The play thus has to put speed in the last third !!!!! But only give advantage to those who defend!! We are already losing 1-0 !!!!!!! Diaby and others are without pace. Put the Ramsey quickly and increase speed!! Again defended himself badly!!

  30. Will says:

I have to say guys, Man Utd are filling their box abd started with 7 defenders and Rooney is back defending. It is hard to score when a team does that.

Let’s be honest, all Man Utd have done is hit it long and hope to get lucky, they have not come to play.

  31. oliver says:

Sure they have come to play….they have closed down space, got men forward when they have has opportunities and tried to hit us on the counter…it has worked so far…we don’t pressure their defenders, get players in to latch on to loose balls, we overpass or watch diaby give it away in their box…we deserve nothing so far…

  32. Suhail.TV says:

stock- fab & walcott, sunderland- song, Birmngm- scoring van persie, barca- szczesny, man utd- djorou.. counting ??

  33. oliver says:

not sure where go from here…I don’t think we have given united anything to fear when they visit on may day.

  34. oliver says:

good point stv…an under-strength ute side had little diificulty slapping us with a couple of sucker punch counter goals…as usual, they play on the counter and burn us every time…

  35. K-TR7 says:

From a quadruple to a single in 2 weeks…just hope we maintain 2nd and hope for a clearout in the summer.

  36. s Pearson says:

Although supporting Arsenal since my first match in 1959 as soon as I saw Denilson in the team with Diarby I turned off the tv. I will not renewing my 2 season tickets next year.

I did relent and watched the match until Man U scored. As soon as I saw their team I knew they were going to block the wings and hope their two forwards could get a goal.

What a surprise thats exactly what they tried to do did if I could see it why not Wenger.

I am fed up with promises promises promises every year we hear we need a couple of players then we learn Wenger has gone to a local infant school to get a new outstanding talent that might be good in 2020

I never though I would say this but it is about time wenger went he will not change his ways. He will not buy a ready made star and we need at least two.

The team is nothing but bottlers

Man U fielded a side there for the taking – so a week ago we could win the lot now we will be lucky to finish runners up in the league. Never though we would win anything and still don’t.

  37. W.A.T.H says:

Our egotistical stubborn manager has now put us in the position where we have only 2 fit sentre halves but you can all relax its Koscielny n Squillaci so we’ll win the league no problem, oh stupid me we also have Song as back up, ok I’m now much relieved. One person to blame only, the dictator that is our manager who buys the players trains the players dictates tactics and picks the players. Cant even draw let a lone beat a 2nd rate manc side, its actually laughable.

  38. JonJon says:

how the fuck cant we beat a utd side with a midfield like that
    thats embarrasing
a third string makeshift utd and we get fucked

  39. oliver says:

Rico, i’ll do the report…I am going to continue to back our team as I best I can, but it is impossible not to get discouraged….we had opportunities to get back into this, but nobody to drag our players along…on-pitch leadership remains a significant issue,

  40. oliver says:

hi jj…our worst fears are manifesting…we went from four to one in the blink of an eye…we definitely had the stronger eleven, but united looked like they wanted this more…at least to me – they broke quickly, we broke at half speed…they put players in our box for loose balls, we kept players on the outside waiting for backwards passes in shooting situations…it is hard to see any mental strength on today’s evidence….

almunia had his second excellent game in a row..

  41. Suhail.TV says:

What happened after that barca game is still a mystery. The win had completely opposite effect on the team!

  42. W.A.T.H says:

KT, didnt watch I was moaning to my mate about D&D and at halt time my other mate comes out and moans like crap about D&D and i just laughed, it was sooooo obvious and yet Wenger plays them time n time again. It’s an insult to the fans, shall we guess on wengers aftermatch excuses already…?

  43. oliver says:

hard questions need to be asked – particularly of arsene…but our club has nobody to ask them…

  44. W.A.T.H says:

Oliver, how anyone can be positive after the last 2 weeks results and performances and then witness what wenger does with team selection is a better man than me…!

  45. oliver says:

there will be no clear out jj…you and I know that…cesc may be sold to barca, but i do not think there will be that many departures…some of our youth players may make the step up – as jack has done – but arsene is trying to grow a winning squad, and emphasizes continuity. This comes at the expense of other critical intangibles, but it remains part of arsenes blueprint.

  46. oliver says:

wath, it is an absolute struggle at this moment, but I will do my best to carry on…it happens like this every year…

  47. W.A.T.H says:

Oliver, noone has the guts to ask the questions at the club cos they happy with what he does, no ambition from the top downwards….! mediocrity is fine it seems long as it pays the bills.

  48. JonJon says:

almunia shit and as soon as he starts playing pl and the highballs start coming in we are going to conceed..
    no jd..no tv…
    squil koz and manny???
great..looking forward to another year of fuck all

  49. W.A.T.H says:

Were like Winter Oliver, soon as winter fades so do we…….. Sums up all we been saying about no spine in the team and no leader and to many players with no pride to fight to win.

  50. W.A.T.H says:

No STV u merely talking the truth and what we all see and know. Wengers blueprint is failing dismally Oliver and he too stubborn to change it

  51. JonJon says:

as soon as we lose a few players wenger doesnt have the balls to change the tactics…
    he doesnt know how…
he thinks all the players can do the job of the first team and they fucking arent good enough…
so we go with the same formation, same tactics, same everything with bag of shite players and the whole system goes to shit
wengers created too much of a team…the emphasis is too team orientated its time to cut the crap and buy some individual magnificance that will turn games like these on their head..

  52. Steve Palmer says:

Well our season is over in a long fortnight, but look on the bright side our workload has diminished so our players should all receive the rest they require to try and get fit for next season, the league is also out of our hands no way will we pick ourselves up after this. we have had every decision go against us imaginable but i don’t blame that. Our team is crap its structure is all wrong, no tacklers no instinctive forwards, and mid fielders who like going backwards more than forwards, goalkeepers that go down like skittles, and not a hard man to be seen, not enough talent and even less heart.

  53. oliver says:

vela may have least had the stomach to get himself into the box for one of the juicy rebounds CDs provided us…robin and chamak never got themselves into such positions , as they seemed to want to pass first, shoot second.

  54. JonJon says:

    fuck it…
    bollox to this season..
cant wait for the summer and if theres no changes this time then im off to go watch my local sunday league team

  55. K-TR7 says:

Our players should aim for the corners.we’ve wasted so many chances today.sagna delivered so many good crosses today but none were anticipated correctly.rosicky couldn’t even hit the ball!…

  56. W.A.T.H says:

Gibbs was very poor Oliver, the leadership thing has been done to death but its so bloody obvious. The spine is soooooooooooo weak and we are crying out for a goalscorer aren’t we…! hi HC….

  57. W.A.T.H says:

Hey piggy where u been, you wanna play centre half saturday…? 😉

KT, its very close to not only getting rid of dumb and dumber but Wenger as well, his rigid mentality and inflexability is killing our club, he buck stops with him and yet more injuries highlight yet again his shortsightedness in the transfer market.

  58. W.A.T.H says:

Wenger isn’t accountable to anyone, if you moan your a shit supporter and far to many ppl have no idea that we existed pre 1996…! Wenger has far to much power is surrounded by yes men and isn’t challenged on a lever where he needs to buy quality players to make us successful. makes you wonder how an educated man can see the teams of 98 and 02 and 04 and then be happy with what he has now and try and also bullshit his way round telling us its his best ever squad..? has he really lost the plot..?

  59. K-TR7 says:

Aw looked a beaten man WATH at the final whistle.surely his time with us must be winding down fast if he continues with his stubborness.

  60. W.A.T.H says:

Hmmmmmm watch that cheap Vino piggy i hear it sends you to sleep easy, prob better than watching Arsenal though.
Nothing much to be said KT, piss poor manc side yet we still couldn’t beat them let alone even get a draw. When will Wenger and the board wake up to reality…?

  61. W.A.T.H says:

Wenger moaning about our missed chances, easy really, buy a decent fuckin striker then and not one that came for free, pay peanuts get monkeys…!

  62. JonJon says:

    i quit
my brains in lockdown and i aint opening up until the seasons over…
    ive had enough
see you guys in the summer..im done..
fabio, o shea, gibson and rapheal???
    2 fucking 0
wenger you fucking mug….sort it out…

  63. W.A.T.H says:

Watch the fallout during the week KT when we speak the truth about what we lack and whats missing and we’ll get pricks coming on here going on about injuries and being so close and we’re crap fans and we dont support the team blah blah blah….!

  64. agirlagunner says:

We need better players, that’s for sure. For the love of all that’s holy, get rid of all the deadwood. If it means half the team thatplayed today, so be it, but surely, surely, surely, D&D must go. Grrrrr.

  65. W.A.T.H says:

He’d cost a lot less than the 6million a year Wenger gets HC…..! Sounds like we throwing our toys just cos we lots ( again ) but this has been coming for a long time and just backs up whats fundamentally wrong with the club and the team.

  66. W.A.T.H says:

lol fuck sakes Steve, don’t start supporting England in the cricket what ever you do 😉 Pick a team any team but NOT England. . . . . . I hear tiddly winks is a sport with a growing fan base, might be worth a look..!

  67. agirlagunner says:

Hola, WATH! We were soo bad even my Chav mate was sending me consolatory messages. 😉 How can AW not see that beyond his starting 11, we only have dross?? Argh.

AFC have taken all joy out of watching football. Cesc Could do worse than to really shoot himself, right now.

  68. HCAA says:

No leadership, no cutting edge, no balls, just a horrible mess of undeservig mercenaries. He’s bringing Lehmann back as our 2nd choice GK FFS! Wenger is losing his and our dignity.

  69. agirlagunner says:

You’re right though, Steve… 🙁 Sell all the non-performers. Give them away, even. There is no excuse for how these overpaid bunch bottle time and again. It sickens me.

  70. W.A.T.H says:

Spot on Steve, we need proven quality players that know what its like to grind out results and to fight to win a game, don’g give up when your loosing and have a never say die attitude. Get rid of the deadwood ( which won’t happen with mr myopic in charge ) and we may be closer to a winning team with a bit of backbone who are up to the fight.

  71. JonJon says:

    ffs
    how humiliating…
i had a week booked off work as well but theyve made me go in monday tues to cover a shift..
aaarrrrgggggggggg….i dun wanna im gonna get pounded

    wath
if this season turns to shite its time to talk to scarf vader again in the summer

  72. W.A.T.H says:

If you didnt do your job properly AGAG you’d get the sack, this lot fail on a regualr basis and get new contracts, we seem to reward failure quite well. Says it all, a team is nearly always a reflection of its manager…!

  73. Steve Palmer says:

I’m putting myself out to stud, mind you i only raise to the occasion once in a blue moon, but i recon i’ll get more offers than any on our team.

  74. W.A.T.H says:

They busy still JJ, same old problem ppl judge before they even know what its all about though and then your not a true fan etc etc etc…… About time ppl woke up, been lied to by the board for years broken promises bullshit from Wenger and no ambition yet we pay through the nose, time to stop the moaning and actually do something to show we unhappy…! It’s why I won’t go in they not getting my money, all those board members can walka way rich but I’m in this for life Arsenal is my team through good and bad I’ll always be there and you like many others are the same. The club is only as big as its fan base time for us “customers’ as they so keen to call us to show them this isn’t good enough.

  75. K-TR7 says:

I have lost interest in Arsenal completely.i’ll just watch other leagues and the CL.i can’t bear to watch this dross anymore.

  76. agirlagunner says:

Good luck with that, JJ. 😉

What will it take for AFC to sort this out?? It’s not as if the fans have not been patient. It’s not as if we’re turncoats. It’s not as if the Club has no money. It’s not as if there are no better players to be bought. Why do we persist with dross???

Is 7 am too early for GG? I just may start drinking now…

  77. W.A.T.H says:

I’m on my 2nd bottle AGAG we could share and solve all things Arsenal if you were closer, least ur awake I got a sleepless night of buying selling and trying to motivate players that play for my club…. Another weekend fucked up by my team.
4P…. you not even been here 😛

  78. JonJon says:

i know wath ive felt the same for ages…
i had high hopes this year though cos i thought times where changing on the pitch with jack getting his chance and denilson being kicked in the nuts..ches gettting a chance etc..
i thought this year AW had finally caved when it came to certain players but it looks like the problems are still as deep routed as ever…

  79. W.A.T.H says:

I used to say that all the time mid 70’s early 80’s Steve and still went back the next week, how ever bad we were they still normally gave 100% this lot have all the technique n skill but no passion or bottle apart from a few but they cant carry a team, nite fella.

  80. W.A.T.H says:

JJ, nothing has changed just a bit of paper to cover the cracks is all that happened now the paper has fallen off the cracks still there mate.

  81. K-TR7 says:

JJ Ade may have his faults but when he had his head in the game he was unplayable.he has more talent than all our strikers bar rvp.

  82. JonJon says:

    ageurro
    we need aguerro..and hazard..
    take scot parker too..
    shay given

weve got about 50mil to spend
sell ALL the shite and raise another 50
then go out and spend THE LOT on players who aint shite…

  83. agirlagunner says:

I’d have “solved” Arsenal’s problems by buying Torres, WATH. Haha. And he continues to misfire… 😉 I’m sure I have a half bottle of GG somewhere… Under a pillow, no doubt. 😉 And I’m alwaaays awake. I ought to visit the sleep doctor.

Nitey, Steve. KT, we have imploded. And in so spectacular a fashion. Can’t say I didn’t see it coming.

  84. W.A.T.H says:

We’ve imploded AGAG just like we normally do when it really matter and when the big games come along.

I’d of bought Torres as well but not for 50mil, 30 I’d of taken him big time.
JJ, I’d take that Fellieni from Everton, big lumpl gets stuck in good player and knows that the prem league is all about. Hazard not sure abt as not seen him and I don’t trust u-tube or the media, Subotic from Dortmund is a monster and we need a striker who’ll bang in 25 a season with his eyes shut, can’t be too much to ask for surely..? Oh and I know this will piss off AGAG but we need a left back as well. . . Sorry AGAG…!

  85. agirlagunner says:

Well, ADE says he regrets leaving us… I was so peeed of at Chamakh and Rosicky earlier. They look scared of the ball, and fudge, they’re paid to play it. 🙂

  86. K-TR7 says:

Ade said that Aw taught him about punctuality…i bet he missed all the sessions about the offside rule.

  87. JonJon says:

    ktr]
the way i feel right now id take ade back
    id take flamini back too..
i dont give a shit what they did they are better then the crap weve got now

  88. agirlagunner says:

Well, we need an LB cause the one who deputises, let us be fair, has not cut it either. He is young though, I know. 😉

I feel so, so, sooo bad right now. I want everyone around me to feels as crummy. There. I’ve decided I’ll make breakfast. That will do the trick. 😀

  89. JonJon says:

whatever happens our seasons over we wont recover from this we never do
and to add insult to injury were stuck with almunia koz and squilacci for the last 10 games
thats the defensive version of rosicky denilson and diaby
    were fucked..

  90. W.A.T.H says:

GG and brekkie is good AGAG ;-)I won’t comment on ur mate Clichey. . . .

JJ, fuck flamini and barndoor we can do better than them two with ppl that wanna be there and play for the shirt…!

  91. W.A.T.H says:

    We got Song JJ 😉

    Wengers new signing at centre half. . . . . . .

Lets hope bendy not even on the bench means wenger is pissed off with him and we seen the last of him too…!

  92. JonJon says:

lol wath yeah songs the man..
but that leave one of diaby and denilson to play in the middle and…
Oh fuck its not even worth thinking about

  93. W.A.T.H says:

JJ, Ramsey for the middle……… The only positive from todays match was seeing Aaron actualyl come on.

  94. JonJon says:

cant we get in 5 emergency class players as well as the gk???
oh sorry, forgot we had january to do that didnt we..
    whats january???
    whats a transfer window??

  95. W.A.T.H says:

Exactly KT we need players like that again, he’s a lump but also a bloody good player. denilson can carry his bag. . . . .

  96. JonJon says:

well everton are on the verge of having a clear out if the dont make europe cos theres some players theyve got there that are too good not to be playing regular..
felliani could be up for grabs
id take scotty parker too from west ham…he wont stay there if we come calling hes too good

  97. W.A.T.H says:

Parker is a yid fan though JJ….. They also sniffing around him as well by all accounts, go get Fellieni and Subotic thats a good start and then we need a 23/24 yr old Ian Wright….!

  98. agirlagunner says:

GG = Always Good. Breakfast + AGAG’s culinary skills = Nothing short of disastrous. 😉 And WATH, Clichy is going nowhere. I’d bet you anything.

KT, make it an extra large bag. We’re throwing in Diaby. 😉

Good bye, kids. I won’t tell you to feel better… That’s not doable right now, I know. Sigh.

  99. W.A.T.H says:

have a great day AGAG chat lata, enjoy the GG and brekkie if possible, I’m off as well need a rather large drink and time to watch a film or something.

  100. t-buzz says:

    Evening all,
Ask yourselves, who in their right minds will want to buy Denilson? Diaby anybody? How about Rosicky? I dont see anyone in the Prem fighting over themselves wanting to sign them, not even the championship or even League One! Yet, Wenger believes so much in them and would rather keep em than replace em!! If those three still remain at the club next season then AW has to go.
I gave up after losing to Birmingham in the CC because that was our easiest chance at winning a trophy and we blew it big. I’m not normally a doomer but time and time again it has been the same old story over and over again.
We’ve been the laughing stock with his so-called policy and watched as other clubs grow stronger while he refuses to strengthen in obvious departments.

  101. Merlin96 says:

too disgusted and sick to post coherently.

Merlin withdrew to his cave and contemplates his navel and hope to see sunlight on 20-March….

    AAARH!!!! THAT @#$%@@ HYPOCRITICAL SNAKE-OIL SALESMAN..@#$%@@

    An Ode to Groundhog Day:

    February Failure,
    March Madness,
April Awfulness…or will it be April Accolades?
May Melancholy….or will it be a Merry May?

  102. allezkev says:

Good Day Gooners, What’s happening? No post today Rico, has everyone gone on strike?
Yesterday i gave it until United scored their first goal, then buggered off into the garage, where i could still hear my son cursing and swearing as i pottered around as us blokes do in garages/sheds.
It’s all very familiar, the way our team gets itself into wonderful positions to sweep up all the trophies, only to disintegrate after one poor result. Our manager, despite his public utterances, seems to go into a kind of depression and that must translate itself into the team. Because i’ve never known an Arsenal team to lose confidence so quickly.

  103. allezkev says:

The team is quite capable of winning the next 3 EPL games and that {Please God} should restore some of our ‘mentally strong’ players’ confidence. After that it becomes a bit more tricky and another false dawn could be awaiting all us poor sods… But hopefully Cesc will be back, Theo might be back and if Robin can stay fit, who knows???

  104. Will says:

No Kev, the team is not. We couldn’t beat Birmingham in a cup final. we are pathetic and now a laughing stock.

  105. Lee says:

But hooray we should get fourth, that’ll please the board!! Something has to give, this capitulation is every fcking season!!

  106. allezkev says:

Hello Will, yeah mate, i know how you feel buddy, remember we still have the Champions League draw to cheer us up IF the Spuds get Barca and the Chavs draw the Mancs, there could still be a twist in the tail of this season and we don’t have anymore mid-week games to get through.

  107. Will says:

So we should be happy that we have lost those games as it free’s up our schedule?

This is an annual collapse and one that should have been resolved 3 years ago. How many more, this year is our year will be believe?

I am reading loads of Arsenal blogs and the message is the same, apathy. People are not getting angry any more, they are getting bored.

  108. JonJon says:

    ricos suffering.. 🙁
    poor girls taken it hard…

    hey will, wath and kev

kev i think its safe to say we are up against it..
we could win the next three but weve still got another 7 to play and we are left with almunia koz and squill for the rest of the season..
    not good…

  109. agirlagunner says:

Boo! Hola, WATH. Hello, JJ, allezkev. I should imagine oliver wrote a match report. The Lady of the House is just very busy, I think. 🙂

But will, your succinct statement could be it, too. What else is there to say? I can’t even make myself check NN. Sigh.

  110. allezkev says:

Yessir JJ, that’s my worry, that those pillocks will win the next 3EPL games, get us going again, then another big let down. With been here before.

  111. agirlagunner says:

No, allezkev, rico’s stalking some of our players. She has body bags and should be disposing of them any moment now. 😉 It pains me to say it but we have become a joke. Argh.

  112. JonJon says:

yeah it gets abit heated on there sometimes kev..

ive resigned myself to nothing this year mate
my hopes are no longer up..

the biggest acheivement for me will be to see a clear out of at least 6 players and the other lads like rambo jet and lanbury given a go…
as well as a couple of signings…big name signings…

    hey agag

  113. allezkev says:

Ditto JJ, it’s the Kids that keep my spirits up. Best way mate, don’t build up expectations because there’s no club like AFC for letting you down.
    How did Ramsey look?

  114. JonJon says:

theres also the possibility of song being out..
so as well as a third choice gk
    and a backup defence
weve got denilson or diaby to look forward to..
    great…

  115. allezkev says:

Zoot alors agag, but of course, Mon Diaby is a fraud. He used to be a midfielder, but how the hell does he get into the French national team.

  116. allezkev says:

JJ, like you i’d like to see a ‘clear-out’, but i have this horrible feeling that all ‘the usual suspects’ will still be with us next season, yawm.

  117. agirlagunner says:

Haha, allezkev. How bad is JD’s knock?? I swear, I don’t have it in me to check the news. Song at CH?? Ack.

Hey, JJ. There is no way Rambo/Lansbury/JET could be any worse than some who get playing time. 🙁

  118. allezkev says:

agag, the latest i heard was that JD was out for the rest of the season, Lucky Arsenal???????
JJ is right about our Kids, and yeah agag ‘they’ couldn’t do any worse, i’d certainly get more of a buzz out of watching them, than ‘the usual suspects’.
At least our Kids are hungry, unlike some of our overpaid, pampered underachivers.

  119. JonJon says:

    kev
if thats the case…when we have so many talented lads knocking on the door as well as having a few millions in the bank
im afraid that my saturdays and sundays will be best spent down the park cheering on the local part time teams…

  120. JonJon says:

    jens is a windup kev
hes back at the club to do his badges..
    nothing more..
wenger didnt even bring in a cb in jann when we needed one
he didnt bring a striker in last jan when we needed one
he wont get a keeper he’ll go with manny and o shea
    or he’ll use eboue…

  121. allezkev says:

JJ, what i’m hoping, is that AW gradually gets shot of ‘you know who’ between now and the summer of 2012. We may see a couple go this summer, but i’d be suprised if it was more than that, Almunia & Denilson possibly, but Wenger isn’t the type to have a mass clear-out. That would be like he’d be admitting his own failure.

  122. allezkev says:

According to Wenger, he knows who he wants [g/k], and he plans to bring him in this week, Given would be nice…..

  123. allezkev says:

Whilst we’re on about the Kids, i did read that Feyenoord want to keep Miyaichi next season. It seems that despite a couple of full caps for Japan that he won’t qualify for a work permit yet. That’s a shame [and i know i’m grasping at straws here] but having seen him on U-tube, i reckon he could do a job for us off of the bench. Righto i’m off for awhile, see ya later Gooners

  124. Will says:

I am writing a letter today for here. Just expressing my utter disgust at the way Arsenal are being run.

  125. Will says:

JJ, it will be an open letter to Gazadis and I am hoping if it is good enough, it will make its way around the blogasphere.

  126. Will says:

Anyone watching the West Ham game? Another HUGE cock up by a ref and I bet the manager will not be allowed to mention it.

  127. JonJon says:

    i seen it will..
    bad bad call

email your letter to rico..see if she wants to use it as a post
if you want it around the blogs then newsnow is your objective

  128. allezkev says:

Hello Gooners. Hey Will, good on yer mate, i always write to Ken Friar, at least he has the courtesy to reply. The more disgruntled letters they get, the more chance we can shake them out of their inertia.
So the possibility of an all-Manc semi-final, good chance of a bit of wear & tear as the season reaches a critical point. Now if UEFA can give us Chavs vs Mancs in CL then who knows???

  129. Joaquim Moreira says:

I saw the comments from AW after the elimination of the FA Cup from my point of view, do not realize they erred twice: in Barcelona (by the way, see Paul Parker comment in http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com) and Manchester. At first, it is obvious that the expulsion of PVR influence. But no one commented on the stupidity of the 1st card (in fact we have been penalized by attitudes often “amateur” players). In this game, it was realized soon that Fabregas was not in condition. It is not clear why those who took the ball was Diaby, and leaving Wilshere a secondary role. He played as if they were on edge by 2,3 or more goals when one goal was enough to change the course of the tie. Had experienced a kind of game that is not the Arsenal as shown in the statistics. Not lost 5 or 6 because Almunia, miraculously, avoided some goals. And again the substitutions were late.
is also clear that an referee with “independent” Evra and Scholes had been penalized. But United did not play to win. He played not to lose. If they had to go to London, they went. Arsenal ran with the ball, had more possession, was exhausted physically. If you were physically and psychologically ill, it was worse. To an observer, Arsenal “crept”in the field. Playing the middle, no speed in the last third, with short tables and reported only if the players are physically well, with speed and agility. Otherwise, the bumps are always those who defend the “shocks” are always those who argue, who defends a lot less tired, etc. Without extremes, whether or not the full back, to open the game and the defense and a player with “tied”to the central head to play well, not to option for the shot from outside the area and want to get situations in front of goal goalkeeper becomes very difficult. This film was seen in Braga and other setbacks home. As the MU played, a player Denilson was unnecessary; Diaby was physically ill, and most players without reflexes, slow movements. Two hypotheses were posed: either refreshed the team to win or, playing solid so as not to lose.
Yes there were opportunities to win, but realized that the game was not controlled, the wear was great and mentally felt defeat. AF put young people to run and wear as much as possible in the 1st half, the 2nd, put his experience and solidity of Valencia. Came to win.
But it was not the only case. Milan today also dragged and dropped his head slightly. Today, we regret the extra games in the competition and perhaps for not having gone to fetch one or two players off at the championship. As I said some time ago, the injury is a lasting Vermaelen (returning in January and in March we are ..), the injuries piled up and the targets are almost lost. Hopefully with a game nearly a week and with the help of others, we can win the league.
    A good week for everyone

  130. allezkev says:

JJ, i was talking to a Dutch guy last week, and he was a Feyenoord fan. They love Ryo at Der Kuip [think that’s right?] and apparantly call him Ryonaldo… Would be great to send a few more of our Kids over there, the Dutch certainly know how to educate their Scholars.

  131. JonJon says:

ryo was plucked from obscurity kev
he was playing for his school team when our scouts spotted him..
we want to have a foothold in asia, where all the money is, so weve done an ‘inomoto’ only this time hes supposed to be the next golden child, like nakata…

feyenoord were really struggling down near the bottom and ryo’s turned it round, they are picking up some results now and its an impressive achievement…
me and ktr have been watching him recently and hes very good..

  132. JonJon says:

    JM
its becoming about as clear as mud why AW keeps using the diaby and denilson no workrate midfield…

    hi steve..

kez yeah pray the mancs and chavs get eachother and pray the spuds get barca..

  133. allezkev says:

Maybe Wenger will come back with a couple more when Arsenal play in Japan in the summer?
Hi Stevie P, come on, cheer us up…

  134. Will says:

JM, you are right, RvP’s first card was never a card and why wasn’t their player carded for grabbing ours around the throat?

    Steve, we are here.

  135. allezkev says:

Will, there’s no doubt that AFC have been on the wrong end of some fairly crappy refereeing recently. I kind of expect it from English referees, as they’re just rubbish. But most foreign refs get a hard-on when they’re officiating at the Camp Nou, so we were just on a loser right from the off
Ryo played 90mins for Feyenoord today, they beat NAC Breda 2-1, go Ryonaldo!

  136. oliver says:

afternoon all…i hope rico is doing ok…i was quite unhappy 24 hours ago, but it is done now, time to move on and look ahead…

  137. JonJon says:

    hey oliver
theres not much really to luck forward to…the gk and defensive situation is our worst nightmare..
and its not even for one game..its for 10

  138. oliver says:

hiya jj…if nothing else, we have been down this road before – short handed at crunch time – i don’t think many sides have as much experience in this specific area as ours does…

we’ll see how this plays out – i am worried our players are really down in the dumps confidence and morale-wise…looking at arsene in the technical area yesterday, he gave me the impression of someone who knows this too…it may sound tired and trite, but the best thing now may just be for our players to concentrate on three points at a time – put the title out of mind, and just try and win every game from here. that is what they would be doing anyways, so perhaps just drop what seems to be a mental burden (title challenge) at this point, win our games, and see where that gets us…

  139. W.A.T.H says:

Greetings all, had an email Rico not feeling well hence no post up today, she hopes to be back 2moro otherwise we just gotta chat on here and keep each other occupied 😉

  140. JonJon says:

    wba
    blackburn
    blackpool

our next three games no matter who plays if we cant take 9 points from that lot then its game set and match

  141. W.A.T.H says:

JJ those three games need two things only to win them… commitment and fight….! I don’t read many other blogs and purely based on the headline with season ticket increase mentioned I clicked on it….. Best read in a very long time !!! Am sure you can work out the site…! Very well put not knee jerk and nothing but the truth. Just a shame noone from the club is listening.

  142. JonJon says:

as long as its song and jack in the middle we’ll have the figh
anyone else and we are fucked..

yeah the increase in ticket prices suprised me wath
well no it doesnt but as if the club arent making enough money as it is
if the player wages are too high then fucking sell some of them…

  143. K-TR7 says:

Wath lets hope so.i have given up on the team this season.even if we win the PL the cracks will still be there for all to see.if we don’t have a clearout this summer it will be the same story again.

  144. allezkev says:

Well with only one game a week, there’s plenty of recovery time between games, so with a change of luck, and it’s about effin time we had some, Wenger may just be able to field the strongest side he has available, and that don’t include Denilson or Rosicky, so hopefully we’ll have Cesc, Jack, Theo, Robin and Aaron for the majority of our remaining matches. Hi Wath.

  145. allezkev says:

KT, Wenger said weeks ago that this squad was the best he’s had at AFC, or something like that. Well i don’t know, but i’d have to say that if this team won the title, i’d have to say it’s the least impressive that i’ve seen at Arsenal,hi btw.

  146. JonJon says:

im now beginning to feel insulted
weve got all this money available to us now and we are being forced to watch denilson and diaby, forking out 6 mil for shit cb’s and hanging our hopes on the best english talent since gazza to win the midfield battles…

we won more trophys with hillier and morrow and we had no where near the money we have now

    what the fucks going on??

  147. allezkev says:

Mind you, i’d still take it.
Ah JJ Hillier & Morrow. That team could defend, therein lays the answer.

  148. Lee says:

The sad thing is that it is quite conceivable that we can still win the PL!! With a really sh1t team..

  149. K-TR7 says:

JJ thats what i don’t understand.the cash is there.whats stopping us?we just need a few players.we are not asking for 50mil players.Aw has shown he can get quality at 15mil max.if we have 50 mil budget we can get 5 of those and in the end we’ll reap the benefits.

  150. W.A.T.H says:

Hi AK and KT, yep it’s a complete pisstake JJ players on astronomical wages doing fuck all winning nothing with a defeatest attitude who get rewarded for failure and then the club has the fuckin cheek to put prices up to watch the same shit next year with no doubt the rhetorical bullshit in May about signing 2/3 world class players get the season tickets renewed and then we’ll buy noone like the last 3 seasons….!

  151. W.A.T.H says:

KT, the only reason we dont buy is simple….. Wenger…! There is plenty money there and has been for a few seasons.

  152. allezkev says:

Wath, as long as the Board are raking in £3million a home game and they’re selling out nothing is gonna change.
What’s so bloody frustrating is that those tight gits don’t have to spend a fortune, a striker in my view is the priority, somebody to finish off all those wasted opportunities.

  153. W.A.T.H says:

AK, we need a spine in my opinion, centre half, central midfielder and a striker, sell the deadwood and the “won’t make its” and bring through the ones that could make it as squad players, make em hungry to want to get into the first team, create competition for places etc etc its what we are sorely lacking.

  154. allezkev says:

Wath/KT, i still mostly blame the Board. They were the pillocks who got shot of Dein, and he was the only Director who saw Arsenal as a football club, rather than the others who treat AFC like a Building Society.

  155. allezkev says:

Wath i’ve always thought that Vermaelen would make a great def/mid, he’s mobile, tackles like a Dervish, loves to get forward to have a pop at goal, to me the perfect package.
What do you think of Bartley and Miquel? Do you think they have what it takes?

  156. JonJon says:

get hummels in summer and moved tv to midfield or lb

then a shit hot not two bob freebie striker…

just get rid of the crap..for gods sake…

  157. K-TR7 says:

Subotic/Hummels,Fellaini and a pacy forward.id love aguero but it won’t happen.we need to add some pace upfront.

  158. allezkev says:

How much would Hummels/Subotic cost, i’ve never seen him, anyone similar in EPL?
What about Sakho, do you rate him?

  159. W.A.T.H says:

KT Subotic is the one on everyone’s lips at the moment which means the chavs or citeh will offer big money and there noway we’ll get him, Miguel and Bartley can be gradually introduced to the 1st team set up but are no means ready yet, I like Fellaini and someone like Fabiano knows where the net is also big n strong, how about we offer 10million for Drogba 😉 imagine how many he’d score for us…!

  160. W.A.T.H says:

Watched PSG the other night at Benfica but Sakho wasnt playin AK was bit pissed off about that…! Subotic is a taller version of Vidic…!

  161. allezkev says:

Did any of you think there was any mileage in the Denilson/Melo swap? Anyone in favour? He kinda reminds me of Gilberto.

  162. W.A.T.H says:

I’m def not a religious type of person but to read those stories today of 3 kraut teams wanting to buy bendtner for 10million all I can say is pls god….!

  163. W.A.T.H says:

Ak, seen Melo in the flesh 4/5 times now and for me he is ok but overhyped AND is a total nutcase he’ll spend half the season suspended…! better option in my opinion…!

  164. allezkev says:

i was quite impressed wath with Sakho, when i saw him playing for France vs England.
What about Blaise Matuidi, is he on anyones radar?
Got a feeling if Wenger buys, it’ll from his favourite store, Ligue Un.

  165. W.A.T.H says:

Isn’t Matuidi another pygmy though….? We need a “LUMP” someone who is physically imposing as well as a bloody good player…!

  166. allezkev says:

Bendtner for the Bundesliga??? How does it go….
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name etc…

  167. K-TR7 says:

Subotic is an aggressive player in the mould of vermy/vidic.hummels is an excellent reader of the game especially man-marking.his playing style is similar to koscielny’s.

  168. W.A.T.H says:

I may have to pray the next few months AK, it could take a while my bedtime prayers as there will be a lot of players I need to mention that need to join bendy on the last bus out……..

  169. W.A.T.H says:

AK, what good players ever really become available…? Offer decent money and they’ll sell simple as that. We need to build that team around Jack, Nasri and Ramsey, give them players around them to make the midfield a dynamic engine full of grit and steel and tempo and technique, I’ve not mentioned Cesc for any other reason than one he is gonna piss off soon enough and 2nd he’s becoming far to injury prone…!

  170. W.A.T.H says:

KT, in all honesty I dont give a rats arse what players go where and become great or play well, good luck to them, all I know is they can’t hack it at Arsenal and if they do well somewhere else then so be it. We have to make sure we replace them with quality and then so what if anyone goes on to be good somewhere else cos it won’t matter and all we know is at the moment they are pretty shit for us.

  171. W.A.T.H says:

AK, I confess to disliking Wenger very much at the moment….! He is starting to ruin MY/OUR club….!

  172. allezkev says:

We also need to bring in players who can give us a full season, i’m sick of Arsenal looking like A&E at Barts

  173. allezkev says:

You know lads, what a shame Adebayor turned out to be a right tosser, because, on his day, he was a great centre-forward.

  174. W.A.T.H says:

I think the word tosser and barndoor is not rude enough a description AK……..

Totally agree KT thats what I’m saying, dont care who moves on and does well long as we replace with better and they play well for us…!

  175. allezkev says:

Wath, i refer back to Dein, Wenger wouldn’t have had the job of dealing with transfers if those arseholes on the Board hadn’t sacked him.
Wenger identified the targets, Dein did the biz.

  176. K-TR7 says:

AK Subotic/Hummels will cost lots of cash.Dortmund are about to win the league so they may be reluctant to release them.if we want them we’ll have to offer them cash they won’t resist.

  177. W.A.T.H says:

Thing is Ak, DD was a back stabber got found out and got booted out by the board, we are told Gazidis does the buying but he’s only allowed to buy once master wenger tells him who to go and get and to make sure we offer far below the going rate as we do so love a bargain….!

  178. W.A.T.H says:

I cant see us getting Subotic in a million yrs, he’ll go to citeh or the chavs for big big dosh…! We’ll end up with Distin for 2million….!

  179. allezkev says:

Wath, he may have been a back-stabber mate, but we signed some top top players when he was at the club. I don’t see Hill-Wood/Gazides/Kronke at all the away games, going to see the Stiffs and the Youths. For all Dein’s faults, and no doubt he had a few, we actually competed when he was at the club…

  180. JonJon says:

dortmund are after nikki so give them him and 15mil and take one of the cb’s

fellianis getting peeved off at everton he wants euro footy and they could be set for a clear out this summer if they dont qualify..pieenaars already gone spurs..but id prefer rodwell…

heres a player thats not been named yet ktr
    jesus navas….

  181. allezkev says:

Wow, that’s some serious dosh for a centre-half… Yep, Wath, Distin fits the bill i reckon…

  182. W.A.T.H says:

Nevas is a mummy’s boy JJ same as Reyes…..! Great player but suspect attitude gets panic attacks when travelling away from home !!.

Rodwell one for the future JJ, Felliani is one for now…! If dortmund want bendy take him play 15mil and thats us sorted we get Subotic….!

  183. W.A.T.H says:

Forlan to old AK, Fabiano from Seville…. OR Drogba, I see noone commented on that name when I threw it in….! 😉

  184. JonJon says:

mertezackers another senderos..he aint quick enough
im not sure about forlan he was shit at utd but he scores goals everywhere else..

  185. K-TR7 says:

Mertsacker is very slow though AK.he is also very clean;he hasn’t received a yellow card in over 2 years.

  186. JonJon says:

fucking hell wath theres a shout…
we could get another year out of the drog….him and vp up top???
    boooom…

  187. W.A.T.H says:

Fuck his wages if he bangs in 25 goals…..! we’ll have 50k from bendy, 40k from denilson, 40k from diabolical, 40k Almunia, 50k from Rosicky and 90k from Arshavin…. plenty wages there to cover the Drogs wages ;-)We’d get 2 seasons out of him imagine what he’d bring to our team…! Can’t stand the bloke but I’l love him in an Arsenal shirt…!

  188. W.A.T.H says:

We’d not be so small then would we, Subotic, Fellieni, Drogba, Throw in Song, JD and RVP and we’re a decent sized team again….! Oh well I can but dream.

  189. JonJon says:

another interesting thing about dortmund is that wwenger has a good relationship with them
they gave us both jens and tomas for a reasonable price..

  190. JonJon says:

they still owe us money from vieira as well can u beleive…
the board will rob the fans but they’ll let other clubs pay 2p a month for our players..

  191. W.A.T.H says:

How about we just give them denilsona dn say thanx……..???

Reyes could of been awesome KT, the neville sisters ruined him and noone stood up for him that day from our team either, don’t think he was liked very much but still poor when we let one of our own get upped by those pair of inbred fuckers

  192. allezkev says:

Wath, i’m with you, Drogba up front could see us winning trophies again. That success would pay for his salery… And he always wanted to play for Wenger/Arsenal.

  193. W.A.T.H says:

The Drog would show Chamakh how to play in the Prem lge as well…..! Would be a clever buy but can’t see the chavs selling to us either AND tight arsed wwenger won’t spend big on a 31yr old either. In that case back to Fabiano for me….! Can’t think of anyone else who actually springs to mind…!

  194. allezkev says:

Yeah JJ, Melo might be a nutter, but remember in England he’ll be able to decapitate opponants, with our useless refs, before he gets a talking-to.

  195. allezkev says:

Wonder if Walcott & Song will be back for The Hawthorns?
    Cesc probably back for Blackburn.
Vermaelen & Frimpong by end of month, hopefully.

  196. W.A.T.H says:

Vermaelen ain’t even training AK, we won’t see him this season I bet ya…..! We need Song back to play centre half otherwise we gotta put up with squidgy !!
Ain’t life great when we are yet again stuck with only 2 fit centre halves, wasnt it our esteemed manager who said only a few months ago I have 4 centre backs why do I need another ? fuckin lemon…!

  197. W.A.T.H says:

Oh and at that time one of the four centre backs hadnt played for 4 months and yet he still didnt see the need to buy….!

  198. allezkev says:

Wath, Squillaci did ok vs Orient, and yes i know it was Orient, but he had Miquel to watch over. Personally i’d have gone for Cahill in January, but that’s me!

  199. JonJon says:

we need song back asap but if he plays in defence who plays in midfield cos it wont be aaron…
we should have got one in jan but we didnt and its bit us on the arse at the end of the season but whats new

  200. allezkev says:

Mind you lads, if Wenger could organise a defence properly, we could get away with Diaby at the back.

  201. W.A.T.H says:

JJ, can we draw a positive from at least wenger decided to send Aaron on last 20 mins yesterday, IF song drops back to centre half Aaron is the only logical replacement for midfield but logic and wenger are not two words that go in the same sentence lately.

  202. allezkev says:

JJ, you mentioned Morrow & Hillier earlier. Now they were just journeymen midfielders, but GG got them organised, and they did ‘a job’. I think with Wengers defensive organiation we’d need Bobby Moore and Franz Beckenbauer to sort out our back-four…

  203. W.A.T.H says:

When we got to the CL final Keown was helping out the defence AK, Wenger obviously didnt like the fact Keown got praise hence he was sent packing…! wenger has very little tactical awareness which is now plainly obvious yet noone has the balls to bring him to task over it…!

  204. W.A.T.H says:

OK am off for the evening got a few things to do then early start 2moro before back home to come talk rubbish with you lot 😉

    Take it easy…!

  205. allezkev says:

Wath, if you look at Wengers substitutions, he tends to change like for like rather than do something different,ie tatical. I’ve always thought he was weak tatically, that’s why he just blunders into games with Man utd and changes nothing, learns nothing. Can you imagine Fergie going this long losing to Arsenal and not trying something different….?

  206. Joaquim Moreira says:

    hi!
Fabiano is in Brazil (s. Paulo) now.
In my opinion. should only buy players who will not win anything and those who have already won something (Forlan, Drogba …).
Question: What was the reason he never won a game in Spain or Portugal?
Answer: Because in Spain and Portugal are studied well and the opponents adapt to the team and the game model, depending on the opponent, the players of another team and the characteristics of the (our) own players

  207. Will says:
