£4.8M ‘New Signing’ to play in November?

Well, you just know Arsene Wenger will say it don’t you… Aaron Ramsey, who cost us £4.8 million in 2008, will be like a new signing when he returns!

Ramsey has just been named Wales Young Player of the Year at an awards ceremony in Cardiff, despite not playing for long long time, this lad is so good that no-one could pip him to his prize. Well done Aaron!

Talking of which, Ramsey is due to return next month which is great news for him and for all Arsenal fans.

As soon as I wrote his name my mind drifts back to that horrid game, his last game and funny enough it was at the Britannia Stadium, home ground of Tony Pulis’s Stoke City. Prior to that game, Ramsey had finally made the breakthrough into the first team, he had proved he had what it takes. The match that sticks out was against Wolves. The first half he struggled alongside Abou Diaby but injury saw the Frenchman substituted for Alex Song. It was then he settled and looked so at home in midfield and we went on to win the game with ease.

He’s scored a few goals, one in particular was a corker against Portsmouth, we were already 2-0 up when Ramsey picked the ball up in midfield, dodged a tackle, then unleashed a beauty from the edge of the penalty area! Yes, the edge of the penalty area, boy I wish a few more of our players would take a chance from that range!

During all of this, Ramsey had also made his mark on the International scene for Wales.

In December 2009, Ramsey scored his second goal for us in the home fixture against Stoke, little did he know then that the next time he faced the same opposition he would fall victim of a horror tackle that many no doubt, feared would end his career, a career that had really only just begun!!

But fall victim he did to a dreadful tackle from Ryan Shawcross… Here it is!!

I know its horrid viewing but something in football needs to change. The only way is to make the FA realise that this kind of tackle will not ever be forgotten and they need to take action. This kind of tackle cannot and should not ever be accepted in football!!

On to a brighter note, Ramsey is back in training and could be making his return next month which is great news. He’ll need time but what I am sure we all hope is that his head and body has recovered well enough to enable his career to carry on from where it left off.

Add him to Fabregas, Walcott, Vermaelen and van Persie who are due to soon return, we should get our season back on track and back to winning ways!!

Oh those days 🙂

Boo! rico, I am excited beyond belief about Rambo returning. 🙂 🙂 Some good news, at last. He’s young, and will be back good as new.

And rico, you forgot to add Bendy to the list of players coming back from injury. You tend to forget him, don’t you? 😉

WATH, that’s okay, I entertain mean thoughts about Almunia pretty much all the time. 😉 His “Adios”, will be the sweetest goodbye ever.

rico, I think Nik will improve; Chamakh should be enough challenge; and I hope they partner well. It’s Robin I really want to see again. Seems aaaages ago when we last did.

But rico, Nik’s funny. If only for entertainment value, he’s worth keeping. 😛 And he banged in some important ones for us last season when RvP was injured (is Robin ever NOT injured??? It seems we talk about his absence more thatn his games.)

The doodoo that the Dippers are in makes me sad, too (as if)… I really still like their No. 9 even if he’s not been in form.

Hello, R7; I didn’t know Chamakh was injured… Hopefully, it’s nothing serious…

Shame, RvP is never fit long enough to be one of our reliables.

Just Torres will do me though. Babel’s a diver; and Reina dives but doesn’t catch the ball. 🙂 🙂

Oh you know me so well, WATH. But drooling is so ewwww. 😕

I think I’ll be all sighs and daydreams though if we bought Torres. 😳

How amazing would we be with both, rico? They should schedule their injuries though, I agree. 🙂 🙂 That’s a sweet, sweet thought. (dreamy smile)

Hi Rico, and Everybody.

A nice positive read on a Sunday morning. 🙂

I think things will look up even more as the season progresses. In January Wellington will complete his signing for us and he could be a superdooper surprise package to unleash towards the end of the season.

Erick, that sounds excellent. 🙂 If we don’t reward ourselves, who will? That’s why I reward myself all the time. Haha. Might I ask where you are off to??

I didn’t think Diaby was fit. Well, France shouldn’t play him. I’m tired of our players getting injured on international duty.

I think players who cause injuries to others should be banned for the same amount of time that the player they injured it out, if it ruins their victims career why should it not ruin their’s?.

Seeing that video again makes me angry! At first glance it looks like an accidental tackle, but after reviewing it a few times, it is very clear that Shawcross had more than enough time to try and pull out of the tackle and he didn’t. More must be done to protect the players, these injuries are happening far too often.

More must be done!

Hi again, everyone. 🙂

The way that Fergie Blue Nose does it is he tells the player he has a groin strain, and oh dear he can’t play for his country.

Look at how Giggs and Scholes dropped out of one in two games.

AA has got to be the laziest footy genius.he is the second most effective attacker in the CL after eto’o.he has scored/assisted in every 36 minutes…he also creates 3.33 chances a game in the league which is the highest.

Eduardo lost 2 yards of pace. I really hope Ramsey doesn’t lose any pace beacuse if he does it could seriously harm his chances at the top. I have everything crossed for the lad.

I think Ramsey will only featute next season. Even then, it may take him another year to get back to his previous form. Such is the cruelty of such injury and the irony that the culprit is still playing and TALKING SHIT.
