Will Dean cover his tracks…? Sign up Gooners..

Morning all..

What a rubbish weekend. Arsenal lost, the European ladies bottled the Solheim Cup and Lewis Hamilton didn’t finish the GP! At least England opened the Rugby World Cup with a victory!

Anyway, apparently the FA will decide today whether Costa will face retrospective punishment for his antics on Saturday or not. Every man and his dog knows he should because he committed three, if not four sending off offences but Mike Dean could yet again prevent him facing a three match suspension if he worded his match report in Chelsea’s favour.

If he says he saw the entire incident and felt a yellow card was appropriate, Costa walks free but if he’s honest, well, if he says he didn’t see the slap, body check or the hands into the face of Laurent Koscielny then he should expect a three match ban at least. personally I think he deserves more but the FA won’t want to upset the defending league champions will they?

Dean has to be careful though as if he says a yellow card was the correct action, he really will hang himself out to dry because no top referee would see things the same way. Would they?

Regardless of the outcome, what good will it do us? Very little I’d say as the three points have gone…

The only way situations like this will change is for technology to be brought into the game and nearly every other sport uses it so why is it taking football so long to catch up I wonder. I’m sure we all have our own theories as to why technology isΒ kept away from the game but mine is that FIFA, UEFA and the FA all have their little favourites, the clubs and countries they want to see do well and fairness in the game might might just hinder those club and countries being victorious… I’m sure Mike Riley has his own little agenda too when it comes to referee selection for certain games and one has to wonder why Mark Clattenburg is used sparingly for our matches, after all, he’s considered to be one of the best if not the best in England right now…

As for Mike Dean, well there’s a petition going around inviting Gooners to keep him away from all future Arsenal matches. Follow the link HERE if you want to sign up. I have, along with 50,000 others….

Here’s an early picture of the oh so handsome Costa which comes from a Twitter account in the name of ‘Monkfish’.

Image-1 (1)

Let’s hope the FA grow a pair and throw the book at him…

That’s it for Monday…

Luznic from previous page-

Klopp did not get his players going…

Don’t know if you are aware but his players complained about his tactics on numerous occasions.

It was the former physio who did the pumping up and got the players fit.

He was the same physio who got Germany national team players going for Euros win…

Signed up last night and added this rider :- Progressively the standard of refereeing has declined and the latest debacle overseen by Dean is the final straw on the proverbial camel. The whole of the PGMOL needs looking at and their findings on their employees needs public airing. Their secrecy led by Riley gives the impression that they have something to hide.
Doubt it will get read and even if so it will be ignored but for 10 seconds I felt better.

Good morning all, good post rico.

Lee, β€œDiego Costa is the type of man that would unplug someone’s life support system so he could charge his phone!”

Perfect description, what he did on Saturday was awful. Arsenal was about to get a result because they didn’t expect AFC be so organised, i honestly thought that was in CFC team talk/tactics. They look nervous and worried not expecting AFC to be so discipline.

The gegenpressing style Klopp claims to own is also played by Augsburg and Paderborn in the Bundesliga but because they do not play in Europe or UCL English media don’t know about them..

That fight style football worked when he had his sports doctor who moved to Salburg…

When the physio left and klopp tried to accommodate all his midfielders Mk’tyan, Gundogan, Kagawa, Sahin like AW attempting to play Ozil, SC19, Ramsey and Ox in the same line-up it failed and the yellow and black fans normally more understanding than us gunners made their feelings known…

Good morning all

I have no words for all this nonsense happening around AFC. Starting from transfer window to losing useless games and then the stupid Dean, I don’t even know which faculty is he heading…

One thing though, I see Mou wants Arsene job….judging by his comments…..he can sign every Arsenal player….??????????

Costa…..well, I have never, and will never use a certain word on here out of respect for Rico, but it’s exactly what he is.
The lowest form of human on the planet, matched by few.
In the game, he’s only equalled by two men….Dean and Mourinho.
That Portugese piece of shit is a man I’d love to meet.
How proud all Chelsea fans must be.
Actually, that’s probably not fair as plenty of their fans are embarrassed by the performances of all three men I’ve mentioned.

In the long term, it was a massive mental victory.

Morning all.

Signed the petition, 51000 when I put iPad to work!

If Costa gets off it will signify the level of corruption and bias in the game of football. However, this is all about Dean and his ego. He has to save face! How could he possibly admit he made a mistake? It’s beyond comprehension that a man of his experience and unquestionable dislike for AFC would miss an opportunity to give us a helping hand! Far from it although I don’t know quite how he ‘lost the plot’ so completely that he allowed the situation to fester and grow which encouraged Gabriel’s act of foolishness. Maybe Dean’s inertia even encouraged the misdemeanours? As a referee Dean is inept. He is the quintessential embodiment of incompetence, he should never be seen on the field of fair play ever again! The chavs and manure will have to corrupt another official to do their dirty work, or at least that’s how it would seem!
I note that manure scored from another clerical error! Mata was offside, not seen? Goal given! Same old, same old.
I mentioned the use of technology after the game on Saturday, for the life of me I cannot understand the reluctance of the powers that be will not consider it, not in the interest of fair play or the certainty of justice prevailing! Their insistence that the game would suffer and we would have nothing to debate on a Monday morning if the games were an actual reflection the goals scored or not but achieved honestly, and without the misunderstanding of one man, the man in black, the ultimate arbitrator, the human error waiting to happen! The law makers have to grow a pair and introduce technology to ensure that the outcomes of games cannot be questioned as a result of human error.
Dean was palpably wrong, on several occasions and, ultimately HE and only HE dictated the outcome of the result of this game. That cannot be right. But he will escape censure because the FA etc will brook no criticism, even when they’re wrong. Are they frightened thatiftheyadmit they can’t do their jobs properly they will be sacked, in any other walk of life they would be out of the door and on the dole after they had failed! But not in this instance as they are NEVER WRONG. And there we have the problem. You don’t see such arrogance in the games of Rugby, tennis, athletics, etc etc. but football, a good Victorian sport with technology from the same era. Time to catch up with the 21st century not wallow in the marvels of 19th century.

Right rant over, but I don’t think for one moment that any action will be taken in the case of Dean and his mismanagement of Costa the cheating thug! Dean will massage his report so no action can be taken, despite the furore his incompetence initiated over the weekend!
Sorry nearly started again!

Great post Rico… who knows maybe we are being punished from the higher powers of the PL for not spending money. The premier league sold the tv rights for 5 billion and shared it among the clubs I think they expect the clubs to go and buy the best players they can to make the PL the best in the world….

But one club kept that money for themselves ; )

Great post Rico

If there is any fairness in the world, the FA must say that that clown Dean should have sent off Costa on multiple occasions. They would then have to agree Dean is either incompetent or a cheat. There is no middle ground here. Stretching things a little if they agree he should have been dismissed on multiple occasions, he wouldn’t have been on the pitch when Gabriel gently tapped his ankle… So Gabriel should get his red card rescinded …. I Jest

I have never been a fan of video technology, but after yesterday am beginning to change my mind. That said I didn’t think that the Gabriel incident was a penalty even after watching in slow motion, I know others disagree. Six of one, half a dozen of the other for me.

Afternoon Rico and all. Costa is so ridiculously obvious in his foul play I really don’t understand why we didn’t react every time he committed a foul. He and his manager are truly vile and pathetic pieces of shit that they make me sick to my stomach.
Dean is either entirely incompetent or very corrupt. Either way, he should be removed from the game completely. A complete waste of space as a referee and an oxygen thief as a person. A rodent of a man.
None of this reflects well on Arsene though. His judgement is so deeply flawed that, at his age, I don’t see a comeback from him. The club should be talking to the next manager right now, today, by whatever means open to them and they should even be discussing who will stay and who will go and which new players he would like. A new contract offer for a man who is already failing would be a terrible decision, as would Wenger even considering accepting it.

Signed up, too. But I would like fans to come up more signatures that demands the investigation of all EPL refereeing. The EPL referees are messing up the game. I do not trust a single English referee and those who appoint them not just against arsenal, but there is a palpable, obvious incompetent officiating alarmingly going on .Refereeing in the EPL is got be investigated as quickly as possible.
Secondly, mush as I totally agree with whatever everyone says about Chelsick”s last Saturday signing (Mike Dean) that helped them win the game, Captain Cazorla and other Arsenal players must share responsibility for the sending off of Gabriel. Cazorla was walking close to Gabriel while the assaulter was provoking Gabriel and did nothing to stop Gabriel from either retaliating or getting involved. I am sure they both spoke in a language Cazorla understood. Only Coquelin made a late effort.
I saw a captain that did nothing to talk sense into his player was losing his cool after a yellow card. I saw a bunch of Arsenal players who lacked leadership qualities. If only one, two or three players had walked to the naive Gabriel and talked sense into him, he would have avoided the red card.why didn’t Koss, who handled that Animal run to Gabriel and restrain him? This was a clear case of arsenal lacking leaders on the pitch on that day. Shows me that wearing a captain’s arm band doesn’t make you are a leader. There was only one leader in that pitch-Coquelin, but he was late. Arsenal don’t have leaders. See how costly it became without having leaders. Will anyone see it this way? will Arsenal ever learn?

You are likely right about Kroenke I am sad to say but sooner or later, something will give and I hope that it takes the form of Wenger saying he will leave at the end of the season. I imagine that there would be much fawning and imploring from Gazidis and the rest of the Port-sodden board who must love their expense accounts and social bashes on the back of a faltering club. Interesting post Rico…

And about time too…

Wath’s done great but I’ve personally missed you. Hope you don’t get off again on a long stretch.

Today’s comments show real improvement. At last we’re facing the monsters of Saturday – Costa and Dean. However, this is HH and folks would as a rule of thumb, descend on AW at every turn. You can always count me out on that.

After this signing to shame Dean, Rico and HH should initiate another…giving Gabriel a hero’s ovation when next he files out at the Emirates. One person but only one person in the EPL has just given Costa things to worry about –

Wenger? Did absolutely no wrong last Saturday…the way we played until the red card and after shows a manager who has adapted to opposition strengths.

This Wenger out here should be served at the appropriate time. When it’s at every opportunity, it rings just one thing – pure hatred.

Adam

You’re right Stan. It goes back a long, long way in my family.
But what is happening right now is appalling really. Shocking performance from Wenger who just cannot seem to adapt to modern football and also from far too many big-name, big-earner players who are not doing it in the framework of the team that Wenger has set up. We are forever waiting for players to hit form and when they do, they get injured. I can think of only 4 or 5 who are coming anywhere close to where they should be at the moment and a lot more who I cannot see as part of a proper, modern manager’s plan.
It will all represent an enormous challenge for the right man who will need time I would think.

Our forward thinking manager predicted that we’d get more injuries so he has strengthened the squad…. I mean it’s not like we get loads of injuries is it??

Stan. I reckon we need a bit more than a tweak myself. Too many big-name players way off the boil and little in the way of tactics. Reputation and past achievements only get you so far.

I’ve just had enough of this bollocks….. I really have had it to the back teeth!
It’s so boringly repetitive every fucking season the same shit!
All you need to do is change the year, and the season will play out like so many before!

Dean yes, let’s sign a petition but we really don’t need that. We need a petition for Wenger.. To let him and the board know that we don’t want him anymore.

That way he will know that he is not invincible.

Wavy
Wavy

I knew we would be to blame! Improper conduct for Gabriel as well as charging both clubs for not controlling their players.
No comment on Dean, I suppose we’ll have to wait until old mother Riley to make a decision where the rural Dean is going to haul up to next week! 4th official somewhere, I shouldn’t wonder with no reprimand!
The FA are worthless! in fact they are worth f..k all!

Justice? What justice?

Tai
Tai

Rico, we can’t start such a petition in the middle of a season…that could drown the team psychologically.

Let the season finish and that has meaning. Besides, Wenger should never be so humiliated in the middle of a season! That will make Mourinho’s day and I’d take any shit than ever make Mou happy.

Lee, I know mate, it’s difficult, some times impossible, to put a positive spin on things.

The only reason I do, is because I’m fcuking fed up, feeling fed up, about a club, who is run by people who have have little or no respect for the fans, and that’s across the board, playing staff as well, and an owner who is a leech…

I’m not gonna let it upset me anymore because basically ‘they’ aren’t worth it…

So I look on them almost from a comical view now.
I mean, for Gods sake, how can anyone take Lord Harris seriously…?
How can anyone look at Kroenke in any other way than a joke?
Hill-Wood… I mean Lee, he was funny, yes he was an ignorant Cnut, but he was funny.
In an idiotic pantomime type of way…

Even Wenger, I mean how can somebody repeat the same mistakes, in regard of reinforcing the squad every transfer window, and not be considered quite comical…?

If there were real justice the FA would review the result, call it null and void on the real time outcome and subtract the chavs 3 points and award them to the Arsenal! Won’t happen I know but, in the interest of acknowledging the Respect and the integrity of the game a gesture and ‘fine’ of that sort would really rattle and shake up the cheats and fakers!

Shame they don’t have the bollocks to take the opportunity to make a real statement and clean the game up?

scottfromoz

Wavy, FIFA need to step up and do their job, IMO.
This behaviour starts at the junior level.
It’s tolerated, unfortunately……even encouraged.
The game is what suffers, and that is unacceptable.

You’re right Scott but, sadly the kids from U9 up merely imitate what they see on the TV week after week and even more sadly there are very few Refs who actually object to the bad mouthing of the infants and by there inertia propel the game into the spiral of misbehaviour and unacceptable language that we find in the game today!
It doesn’t happen in Rugby or Cricket, or golf, or….?? Or most other sports, so why football?
Is it the money? Not in amateur football, so why?
Anecdotally I played football, rugby and cricket, not to mention golf. I was a perfect ‘gentleman’ when playing the last three, but football, I couldn’t keep my mouth shut or misman opportunity to ‘kick’ the opposition if the chance arose, with the ball or without it? And, strangely I am mostly a,very, placid, caring human being! So it must be the nature of football?
Last remark, where are the Linekers and Charltons (Bobby not Jack) of this world?

scottfromoz
scottfromoz

Wavy, parents need to be teaching their kids the right way.
If Sean ever had a coach who taught these bad traits, well, he wouldn’t have that coach lol.
Parents have the ultimate control over kids, not coaches, and we need to do what’s best for them as a person, first, footballer second.

Speaking immediately after the game, Zouma was asked by BeIN Sport: “Arsenal will feel hard done by, they will claim you should have had a player sent off in Diego Costa but this is a player that’s famed for riling other players isn’t it?

“Are you surprised that they reacted in this way?”

Zouma replied: “No, we’re not surprised because we know Diego. Everyone knows Diego and this guy likes to cheat a lot and put the opponent out of his game.

“That happened in the game, but he’s a really nice guy. We’re proud to have him, like the other players, and we’re happy to win this game today.”

Instead of the media going on about us and how we allegedly have a soft under-belly; they should be questioning why English/British grass route football is in the dark ages.
They should be wondering why only teams with sugar daddies are able to finish above us in the league when we live within our wins.

They should be wondering why no English manager is managing a top 6 side or even managing abroad with their back alley tactics…

The contradiction from the media is beyond believe. On the front pages they mind control us with their neoliberalism cack on how a nation can go bankrupt whilst on the back pages it is about how clubs should send to appease the masses…

Safe travels Micko and i trust you bring home the right result for us.
Having grown up in Stamford Hill with a brother as a Spud, the banter is always fair and jovial when the 2 teams meet. He is objective in his opinion and fairly longsuffering. I still remember strongly the Terry Neil, Don Howe, Gus Ceasar, Pat Jennings, Steve Gatting, Willie Young, Champagne Charlie Nicholas days. Also the fondness of Brian Talbots free kicks hitting the net whilst standing in the North Bank. So as much as i want to nag, i cannot justify it as much as the spuds.
Cheers
