What Is Mathieu Debuchy Smoking? Arsene Wenger Is Making Himself Look Silly!

Morning all.

What’s all this stuff about Paul Pogba?

Maybe Arsene Wenger could have signed him had he tried a bit harder, after all, he was available on a freebie,  but what’s the point in bragging about something which he didn’t make happen? There’s been so many too, Ronaldo, Cech, Drogba, Cahill… The list goes on and all the manager is doing is telling us how he failed to sign players when he had the chance and most, if not all have, proved themselves at a high level.

In the meantime, he’s kept a crocked Abou Diaby, failed to offload players who are very average because they are on such a high wage and he’s made many awful signings. I won’t list them all as I’d be here all morning but you and I know who I mean.

Not all have been bad though so credit where it’s due I suppose, especially during his early days as Arsenal manager, he really dished out a treat with the likes of Overmars, Henry, Anelka, Pires, Vieira, Freddie, Campbell…Yes, that list goes on too but so many were so long ago….

Well, until just recently when he’s managed to capture Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez for example, but still, as he signs one or two top quality players, he’ll always take a gamble on someone like Sanogo. He’s a player who will do just one thing in my opinion and that’s keep the Dr’s and Physio busy after Abou Diaby has gone in the summer.

Mathieu Debuchy was one of his better signings of late and he’s set to return from injury next month:

My injury is now better. I work hard every day with the physio and I want to be back on the pitch in December. I’m looking forward to it.

I’m nearly 30 but I’m still improving by training with players who are of such a high quality . I was really proud when I signed for Arsenal and it has been frustrating getting injured so soon, but I am focused on coming back stronger. I am very positive about that.

Training at Arsenal is an extremely high standard. I’m nearly 30 but I’m still improving by training with players who are of such a high quality, like everyone at Arsenal.

It’s been more frustrating watching from the stands than being on the pitch. The last two games have been quite positive and hopefully when we face Manchester United we’ll come out on top.

We desperately need him back don’t we. Calum Chambers playing at right-back just isn’t working any more than playing Koscielny or Djourou in that position. All are centre-backs, moving them wide just hasn’t truly worked. Maybe Steve Bould needs to tell Arsene Wenger that there is a proper right back in the squad, his name is Hector Bellerin!

But isn’t it good to read a player like Debuchy say that when he signed for us he was proud. I wonder how many of our other players are proud to be at Arsenal, proud to wear the shirt and play for our great club……

Mind you, I don’t know what he’s been smoking over the last couple of weeks because if he thinks the last two performances have been positive, he must be on something…..

That’s it for today, have a good one…

1st for the vino and forest fruits.

Good post Boss. Keep them going. Thumbs up. And dont give up.

Seems that LVG might have up to 8 first team players missing next weekend. Good. hopefully ours come back stronger and raring to go.

8 men out according to the press , so we can expect Rooney , Rvp and Di Maria to start and the rest are reserves. So there are 3 points up for grabs for which we will get no credit should we get them . If we fail to do so , it will be all about United’s heroism under pressure . So best we humiliate them , no turning off the taps at two up . Go for the throat because there will be no praise but the goal difference could be handy come May.

  3. Nickie says:

Never a better chance to beat them usually means Wenger will play negative boring football just like last season’s 0-0. Expect a cagey 0-0 or Man U to nick it 6-0

    Positive morning all

Arsene Wenger could offer injury-hit Abou Diaby a new Arsenal deal So says James Olley in the evening Standard . …………………………………………I predict a riot.

  5. Wavy says:

And how manyq have we got missing? It’s like playing top trumps!
It should be 3-1 to the Arsenal, but I bet it’s not! It’s got 3-3 written all over it! Has to be at least 3 as neither side knows how to defend and doesn’t have the players to prevent goals. However, manure do have slightly better front men so……..???

  6. Wavy says:

But, Rico, look at how much he will have saved by not having to purchase a midfielder of all work, whilst he still has Diaby in the frame, waiting in the wings (physio’s room) to make a dramatic 10 minute appearance as sub only to be replaced as a result of a recurring, unspecified old injury!
It all means he doesn’t have to be proactive in the transfer market. Shopping is Wenger’s least favourite pass times!

    Afternoon All,
    Wavy,
Wenger reminds me of me at Christmas time,
I always leave it to Christmas eve before I buy anything,
in my desperation to get something,
I end up buying what ever I can get my hands on.
    My family always remind me,
    What the hell is that..
its either too big,too small, too cheap or not what they want.
Saves me a fortune when I take them back for a refund.

The chance of Diaby getting a new contract is practically zero – unless it contains a real pay for play clause. He will also be expected to start paying for his own physio. Ah like every good rumour its gets us worked up.

  9. potter says:

5.30 kick off this year , leave about 12.00 game finish about7.15 get to car at 8.00 home by eleven . Or put the tickets on exchange.???????????? what to do.?

  10. potter says:

Trouble is Rog , none of us would be surprised were it so. We have grown used to illogical happenings and this would just be one of them. After all his comments about Diaby not being injury prone but just unlucky is just softening us up. Unsurprisingly he blames Dan Smith but we have to remember he was a long term injury at Auxerre. He played 10 games in two years for them before we invested.

Morning good people…Wenger is just an old bag of fart. The sooner he fucks off the better. He’s just rambling lately like a raving lunatic. Somebody gag that old french goat. God help me.

  14. BT62 Gooner says:

Rico, p/p could be RMs get out of jail card. Might it turn up yet?

We’ve to beat Utd, The Man in Black and Ole Red Nose in the stands….

    Some things never change…..

  15. Marinello says:

Evening all, (blimey, that sounds like Dixon of Dock Green).

Listening to Wenger rambling like a raving loony, must be hilarious if you are a Chelsea fan.
Its got to a point, where towards the end of a match that we are losing, he starts to look really ill
and almost 10 years older than he really is. Whereas Steve Bould looks younger… Whats all that about?

  16. Adam says:

That’s strange. I have lost a lot of stuff through the post in the last year or so. Everything from CDs to an electric tooth brush system.

  17. goonster says:

Lol am fine bt…I just went around the blogs and trust me comments are down. Legrove arsenal arsenal uncultured left foot et al. The blogging world has had it. What are you London fans waiting for? Wenger has succeeded in killing our arsenal spirit.

  18. goonster says:

Hiya rico…Am just so bitter. Was kinda hoping I won’t be drinking this much. If arsenal were doing so well maybe just maybe I wouldn’t.

  19. BT62 Gooner says:

Goonie, seen LG earlier today, go over to Untold for the AW lov’in feelin….lol

Good to hear your both doing well..

  20. BT62 Gooner says:

Rico, for the life of me i can’t remember, perhaps a dream…lol
Seriously, i read it last week somewhere, apparently some were going to hold up Wenger Out paraphernalia.

  21. goonster says:

Let’s burn an effigy. Sheesh you guys are too lenient. We need some crazy brazillian fans. Grrrr am so angry. Paraphernalia? ? Are you serious? That’s all you guys can come up with? God give me strength. Am about to lose it.

  22. Wavy says:

Were Sirnogoals strikes deflected because he couldn’t get out of the way fast enough? Got to flukes! I mean how come he was picked in the first place, it wasn’t on his current form, was it?

  23. potter says:

One was a tap in ,but the other was a good finish, he seems to thrive on crosses and gets to the 6 yards box to score.

  24. potter says:

Could be very close , but I thought the England goals were dodgy too. But I was watching on a 4 inch stream , hard to tell.

  25. scottfromoz says:

    Hiya Kev.
Xmas is at my place his year which means I don’t have to drove for two hours….everyone else on the family does 🙂

  26. Lee says:

There was a picture on Twitter of Sanchez and Vidal chillaxing……… now he’d probably get a look in at Arsenal! At right back probably!! 😉

  27. scottfromoz says:

It’s no secret how highly we all rate Diaby, But We get can not possibly be serious.
Do any of you subscribe to Gunflash??

  28. Adam says:

Not really Brudder but how many other top clubs are run like a fiefdom by a single man?
‘Look, behold and learn, for we may never see it’s like again’

  29. Adam says:

I can only assume that when Arsene does leave in about 10 years, that site will close and it’s contributors will be required to commit Hari-Kari while wearing red hats and screaming about refereeing conspiracies outside Broadmoor.
