Wenger's rebuilding plan, Szczesny loving the fans & Frimpongs a Gonner until the New Year…

Morning folks.

I’m sure you already know but just in case anyone has been asleep for the last twenty four hours, Emmanuel Frimpong has left us until January 1st 2013. His destination is Charlton, much to the disappointment of Wolves fans and his new manager will be Chris Powell. Charlton currently sit fourteenth in Championship.

Hopefully he’ll get plenty of playing time and help push his new club into the play-off places. At least he’s not too far away for the club to keep a check on his performances.

Arsene Wenger likes to find little names for his squad each season doesn’t he, some have been the strongest, despite us knowing that is untrue, some have had the best mental attitude ever etc, well this season the  team are ‘special’

That came of course, after the weekend when we finally got a victory in front of our home fans.

We have shown quality, spirit and a lot of movement, and that is what we want from our team.

The result will help to rebuild belief completely again. There is something special in this team and I am happy that will come out when they play with complete confidence.

I am confident [it will be a platform]. Let’s be consistent. We will gain some belief and confidence from this result, and we will transfer that into our next game and show the same performance.

How can anyone argue with this seasons description though?

At times we have many players who do something very special, we witnessed some of that at the weekend but we just have to start doing that a lot more often because when the players all ‘tick’ on the same day, they are very good.

We need to start mixing the kind of defensive displays we saw at Man City and Liverpool with the attacking style of play we saw against Tottenham, Southampton, West Ham, Liverpool etc etc.

Arsene is right though, Saturday will give the players a little boost in confidence, each game we play and win, or play and don’t concede goals, another little step up the confidence ladder will be taken.

And, despite results not going our way prior to the weekend, scoring goals is becoming easier and Wenger believes that he and his coaching staff will be able to rectify the dodgy defence.

I believe it is always easier to correct the defensive side than getting your team to score goals.

When you score goals you always have a chance. I am confident that the defence will be quite sound once everybody is used to playing with each other. We won many balls [against Tottenham] as a team and we want to continue to work on that.

I’m not quite sure I agree with him there, if it was that easy for, why haven’t our defensive frailties been corrected yet? If he truly believes that losing Gibbs and Diaby really have caused the problem, then it is time he stopped relying on them to last a season.

In just forty two days, the January transfer window opens and there is never a better time for Wenger to get busy. Well, there was, but that time can’t be recovered so we have to hope he doesn’t stuff up this time round, otherwise his record of reaching the Champions League places every season since he’s been our manager will be seriously under threat this time around. To be fair, it already is!

Talking of the Champions League, Wojciech Szczesny and his team-mates  “can’t wait” to play Montpellier on tomorrow night, a win will see us with a big toe into the knock out stages. If Schalke beat Olympiacos, then we are guaranteed to go through, only who finishes top will be left to decide in the final group game.

We couldn’t get a better time to play that game, we are buzzing today, we can’t wait for the next game. We’re confident.

We’ve had a couple of poor results recently, but we’re back on track and we’re confident that we can get the three points and qualify for the knock-out stages, which is the least you can ask from us.We want to make sure we do the job properly and qualify.

Szczesny also had a word to say about the home fans who were in full voice from start to finish on Saturday:

I know that over the last few weeks the fans might have been frustrated, and we understand that completely. I think the team and the fans work as a unit, and they were fantastic, they helped us to get a boost before the game and helped keep us going.

They deserve a lot of credit for the result as well. We’re certainly hoping that they can keep it the same and help us to win all the fixtures coming up.

Obviously, all Premier League games are as important as the next one but I think the fans enjoy it just that little bit more [against Tottenham] – when we won you could see how much they were buzzing after the game.

At the final whistle there were still 60,000 people there – the only fans who left were the Tottenham fans. It was fantastic.

I read that the stewards at The Emirates were a lot more relaxed for the NLD, fans were allowed to stand and we all know that banners were permitted etc, but why does it take a game like that for them to show common sense, why not allow the fans freedom each home game?

After all, the players love it and if they are happy they play better, and that keeps the fans happy!

Try it tomorrow night Arsenal, it might just get us into the knock-out stages of the Champions League….

That’s your lot for another day…

    Morning all….

Just been reading that TW has dropped hi wage demands a tad and the club have upped their offer, only £10,000 is this difference now, whip round anyone??

  2. Lee says:

Moaning all…he’s gonna sign Rico, chillax! Wish he could play more consistently….or like the last two home NLDs!!!!

  3. Bradster says:

    Morning everyone,
Surely, 2.6m over 5 years is acceptable to give in? If Arsenal throws away 80k per week on Squid and Park and they’re out Jan, latest June, give up the 10k.
I like the idea of banners at the game. Let’s get rid of the quiet supporters title.

  4. rico says:

Can you feel the desperation in my words Lee 😉

Totally agree, I wish he’d be more consistent, and I am convinced he will, soon…

  5. rico says:

    Akpom ??

I forgot to add that this morning, mind you the post is too long as it is….

I’d say so Bradster, a you and others have pointed out, just sell a few dross and that would help fund his salary many times over…

banners, standing at times, all of it, the club needs to chill out a bit…

  6. JW says:

    Good morning all,

A special good morning to Rico who has pulled out yet another excellent post on a day with little or no relevant news, other than that Theo appears ready to sign a new deal if the tiny gap of just £10,000 a week can be bridged. C’mon both parties “Just sign de ting”.

  7. Lee says:

According to Olivier Giroud, Thierry Henry trained with Arsenal last week, but the new strike sensation is unsure of whether or not it means a January return for the former skipper.

Speaking to RTL, the HFB said, “Henry’s been training with the squad but he told me he didn’t know if there’d be some kind of temporary partnership this winter.”

Henry famously returned last season, during the MLS off-season, and brought some life to the place and a team that was struggling. A wonderful goal against Leeds in the FA Cup and a crucial late goal against Sunderland were the high points, even if the heatless toads at the FA ruled out a goal against Blackburn for dubious reasons of dubiosity.

It’s 12 months on though and as great as Thierry was those legs aren’t getting any younger. If there are concerns about Arsenal’s lack of depth in the striking department, perhaps the better solution is to add to the squad on a more long-term basis.

You wouldn’t rule anything out with Arsene and Thierry though. Time will tell.

  8. JW says:

I’ve been watching the pre-match tunnel greetings for the past few months and have come to the conclusion that we are far to friendly towards our opponents.

I think it’s time that Arsenal players developed the “cold face”. You know the sort of thing, a cold hard stare instead of the usual smilie, warm, welcoming, grin. Perhaps we could take a leaf out of the Galatasary supporters book and raise a “Welcome to Hell” banner. Let the opposition know that they are in for an unpleasant couple of hours.

It wouldn’t do any harm to drop the temperature in the away dressing room by a couple of degrees and reduce the pressure in the showers to a trickle.

    What do you think?

  9. rico says:

    Thanks JW 🙂

Sign da ting indeed and I like your idea re the showers and temperature….

Did you see the look on Ches face though when Lardy went to shake his hand….

    Morning all….

Just been reading that TW has dropped hi wage demands a tad and the club have upped their offer, only £10,000 is this difference now, whip round anyone??

I have just heard on the grapevine that Kev will give his cab 10% less fuel so that he can chip in. Seems as if a well informed source has said that Kev was willing to make a small sacrifice and push his cab himself the last few metres (since fuel in his tank would be finished) towards the petrol station so that Theo can have his dream at playing centreforward for circa 89,999pw. 😉

  11. devilgunner says:

Good Morning my Esteemed Bragging Fellow Gunners.

Good news on Theo and Gibbs. But I would still like to see healthy competition for places. So we need more players in and deadwood out.

Oh……………..and TH14 may return to AFC in January. If Gerv goes then it would make sense to have him for 6 weeks. Pity the Nasty Neighbours game is in March.

  12. devilgunner says:

Pushing a cab is no laughing matter Rico. You can easily ask those who had to push a car at least once in their life to realise it is a really big sacrifice. But Kev will take it in his stride. Strong as an ox ain’t ya mate 😉

    Kev knows!!!

  13. devilgunner says:

Pity the poor lad JW. He knew that AW wanted to save money so that Theo can have his contract dream realised and he was holding back the toilet papers from the dressing room toilets to save money. So he had to get something to wipe his arse with didn’t he??? 😆

  14. JW says:

Thierry on loan for six weeks would be the ideal replacement for Gervinho while he’s at the ACN. The alternative could be a former England star and captain who has said he will be looking for a new challenge at the end of the MLS season, David “Golden Balls” Beckham. Don’t laugh he seriously thinks he could play in the Premiership. You couldn’t make it up! 😀

  15. devilgunner says:

Beckham knows he might have a chance to go to his boyhood club. You know the one he started out with. Kinda forget the club’s name but I heard they were battered by their neighbours last Saturday. 😉

If Lardy can play in the premiership with his rapist’s first touch why not Becks??

  16. JW says:

Devil, If Old ‘Arry was still the swindler oops! sorry, manager there he would be signed up in a flash. In a flash office, with a flash pen and without any tax liability. 😀

    Gotta go now.

  17. ameen abas says:

hmmm. Thanks u very much Rico for today andwhat a fantastic weekend, and i hop the players will contin geting inprove coz we hav a long jouney, thats very good thats u.

  18. tsGH says:

    Good morning all,

I can tell from this fine post that Rico still has a wide smile on her face.

I see Mr JW’s banter is back too (welcome to hell ah?). How are you this morning Mr JW.This is what makes this site special imho.

The future looks bright for us. We have Eisfield scoring for fan and Akpom, Serge and Aneke all almost there.Devs and mine favourite player N. Yennaris has gone missing in the last 2 U-21 games but I suspect with Dench in the london valleys, we shall all be seeing Nico bossing the midfield against Bradford next month.

The scums had Kyle walker break throw and they thought they had the new Cafu amongst them. A bunch of jokers. My next door neighbour who is a true spuddie has not spoken to me since saturday afternoon, i thought he was different. 😀

  19. Will XL says:

Woohoo! Yay rico. Mobile version! 🙂 was this always in the plans or did my suggestion have anything to do with it?

  20. tsGH says:

And the man who said so long as he was in charge of QPR the club will never be in the bottom 3 is facing the sack. Ha ha ha.

I wonder why we has not sought management advice from his old boss RedNose, since he does the Purple face-man’s dirty work for me in sabotaging us. He thought he had got one over Le Prof when he bought Ade- da -whore from us at $hitty but then he got found out. This summer he went all out to beat us to signing a world class keeper on a free by offering Cesar a post career coaching role. Well, he might not be there for long so that promise may have to be re-evaluated.

The day that imbecile gets sacked I am having a large kofte kebab.

  21. devilgunner says:

I like him as a player. I agree that we have Jenkinson and Sagna, however I feel that if Jenkinson goes I will gladly have him in our team as his replacement. If Sol can, Kyle will!!

  22. tsGH says:

Ha ha ha Dev. Kyle is good and possibly better than Carl at the moment but he bleeds a different colour so…. lol

I will take Defoe for being an undercover gooner though. And lloris was duped to join the wrong North london club.

  23. tsGH says:

Dev- DB said he was looking for a new challenge. He will definitely get one joining the scums for sure.

    Hi there Will…

  24. devilgunner says:

    What a bare faced KAUNT.

For heaven’s sake Rico, can we use the forbidden word? Just once. Blimey he forgot to mention Calciopoli and all the corruption Juve are littered with…………..

You have to read to believe.

Nicklas Bendtner has compared loan club Juventus to Manchester United, saying they are “even bigger” than Arsenal.

The Denmark striker is on a season-long loan at the Italian giants, who face Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Bendtner insists he holds no grudges against his parent club Arsenal, but believes Juventus represents a step up for his career, comparing it to Robin van Persie’s move to Manchester United.

“I don’t have a bad word to say about Arsenal but if you had to compare the trophies then Juventus are like Manchester United,” he told the Daily Mail.

He continued: “You feel it’s maybe even a bigger step than Arsenal.”

The 24-year-old went on to say that Arsenal have suffered from not replacing the key players they have lost, whereas Juventus are always quick to act in the transfer market.

“I thought it would be good for me to come here to a big club with big expectations, sort of how it was at Arsenal when I first went there,” he said.

“With all the tradition, if you can make it here and score goals then you can make it anywhere.

“Arsenal have sold off a lot of stars and not replaced them whereas Juventus would not sell one star without bringing in another straightaway.

“That’s what has kept them on top of the pile.

  25. devilgunner says:

Roma have approached Arsenal over a £5m move for Tomas Rosicky in January.
The Czech Republic midfielder’s time in north London has been severely disrupted by injury and he has not played this season following further problems.
An Achilles’ tendon injury sustained last summer has held Rosicky back and Arsene Wenger could look to cash-in on him in January.
Roma are interested in the 32-year-old and have already sounded out Arsenal over a possible move. His current contract expires in June 2014 and the Serie A club believe they can land him on the cheap.

  26. Bradster says:

Yep, dillusional Bendtner. I see that guy leaving on a Bosman. No club will buy him and he burns his bridges with us all the time to ever come back.
    Howz that mobile address go?

  27. devilgunner says:

I agree mate. The less said the better. But some people DO NEED to be whipped into shape. It is better for someone to stay quiet and let the world think he is an idiot, than to open his mouth and confirm it. Then again……..I do not think we should upgrade Bendy to an idiot.

No info I am afraid. I do like him as a player. hope nothing is wrong.

  28. Bradster says:

totally agree ts. Seems the club is hoping for a repeat of the curious case RVP instead of ours and other player history of chronic injuries. Wenger and the board would put faith in Kewell, Hargreaves, Owen and Woodgate if they played for us.

  29. emma says:

tsGH – I kind of agree with you on Gibbs. He is crooked just like diaby. Should have given him a 2yrs contract with a view to an extension instead of the 5yrs

  30. stevepalmer1 says:

Afternoon all Nice one Rico and thanks for yesterday i forgot i’m sorry. Nice to hear that theo is getting nearer to signing but i would just like to point out that Sagna and quite a few others are on considerably less than Theo is on now and i remember just how much i wanted to see Sagna back and now Gibbs there comes a time where we have to see who is worth what and where we put them in the salery lists forwards do tend to earn more so no wonder Theo wants to move central. When yo consider who is the most important players and their worth to the team do we see Theo at the top of the list.

  31. devilgunner says:

Hiya Sir Steve. Good morning mate.

I agree with you regarding……..there comes a time where we have to see who is worth what and where we put them in the salery lists.

  32. allezkev says:

    Afternoon Gooners.
Like the new format Rico. Very stylish.

Have to disagree on Gibbs. I think it’s a good deal.
The problem isn’t with our players.
It’s with the medical staff, imho.
Also, Wenger needs to rotate certain players more than others and maybe Gibbs is one of them?

  33. tsGH says:

Well it seems like the factory line that use to produce world class (debatable) LBs has broken down beyond repair. I was expecting Miguel to be converted as a LB by now to rival Gibbs as he has the athleticism and height but it seems AW is not confident on that yet. Meade is a tad too tall 😉 and he may not be deemed ready either.

He and Yennaris have not featured for the u-21’s since they last trained with the first team before the 2nd leg of the Schalke match.

    Any info why Emma?

  34. devilgunner says:

Hiya Kev. Good to see you join again.

I heard you were willing to chip in to help Theo earn what he wants where he wants and when he wants. Goody for you.

  35. devilgunner says:

I do not agree either Kev. I like Gibbs a lot. And his problem is not HIS problem. I think its partially as you said…….the medical staff. But there is also the question of training. I think that AW and the coaches devise the training methods and strength building and then adapt the players to it. It should be the other way round. That is…………you and I play in the same team. But due to your build your gym training has to be different to mine. And that is where I think lies the problem.

  36. tsGH says:

Ahh alternative reason Mr Kev. lol

So we have Micko who is going to supply us with Falcao in January eh 2045 or possibly Valderama this January and you to sort out the Theo contract. Such benevolent fans. 😮

  37. allezkev says:

Good to see Gibbs and Gervinho back in the squad.

Save Theo for Villa Park, no need to risk him if Gerv is fit.

Anymore news on those nasty contract rumours re: AOC..?

  38. devilgunner says:

Despite being refered to, rather confusingly, as ‘long term’ by Arsene Wenger just a short time ago, Kieran Gibbs is back in full training and in contention for a place in the team ahead of tomorrow night’s Champions League tie against Montpellier.

The left back’s last appearance was in the 3-1 away win at West Ham and the thigh injury has kept him out for eight games (should be make a return tomorrow night). There was also good news Gervinho comes back into the squad having been out since picking up an ankle injury against QPR.

However, Theo Walcott will miss the game with a shoulder problem having fallen awkwardly on it in the closing stages of Saturday’s 5-2 win over Sp*rs. Andre Santos also misses out, like Walcott he took a knock towards the end of the game when Sp*rs lost 5-2 and Adebayor got sent off.

  39. devilgunner says:

Bearing in mind that Theo is out, I would go for the following line up……..

    Chesney,
    Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Vermaelen
    Arteta, Coquelin
    Podolski, Wilshere, Cazorla
    Giroud.

Yes I would put Cazorla on the wing and have a stronger midfield three.

  40. devilgunner says:

I know habib. But I was LMAO while I was typing it. I imagined you pushing your cab for the last 100 metres to the petrol station. Couldn’t bear to leave it and not write it.

What do you think of my team for tonight?

Or would you rather have Arshavin on and do without Coquelin?

  41. devilgunner says:

Yes Steve……….Yes I would put Cazorla on the wing and have a stronger midfield three.

I would rather have that. Or it could be Wilshere and Coquelin as DM with Arteta in the advanced role. More solid and mobile.

  42. tsGH says:

    😀 Micko.

its only at arsenal that a players is alleged to be injured but is photographed exercising on a machine.

The same with TR07 he started running with Sagna in september but he has not progressed past that even though he played in the euros and so he should be fitter.

  43. allezkev says:

    Nicklaus Bendtner is a failure.
    An overpaid failure yes.
But a failure all the same.
His opinions carry the weight of a gnat.
Who, in this World, really cares what that idiot thinks?

  44. devilgunner says:

Oui habib. But its irritating all the same. Because journos are so crap and biased against us that anything anyone says, even if he happens to be a first class sized prick with the brain of a worm, will be written down.

  45. tsGH says:

I like that line-up Dev. I may even put the Ox in Le Coq position like he did against AC Milan in Feb.

Anything to break up the ‘duopoly’ (kevs oxford dicticnary) against a very counter-attacking team with Belhanda and Utaka in the side.

  46. Micko says:

Nicklas Bendtner, the best centre forward to ever pull on an Arsenal shirt, if you don’t believe me ask him yourself.

  47. rockyrocastle07 says:

All good here thanks Dev. You?

I’m deadly serious. He came over and asked if I’d heard any rumours about it. He’s a NUFC fan but can’t stand Walcott. He’s mortified as the guy who told him is usually spot on with his stories!

  48. rockyrocastle07 says:

AK – Sorry mate, I got your text early Sunday morning but haven’t had a chance to reply…. I shall do so as soon as I get a sec!

  49. JW says:

    Hi tsGH,

I think he’s just been told to get on his bike and he’s giving a “Churchilian” salute in response. 🙂

The “Welcome to Hell” banner was light hearted, but the “Cold Face” was serious, Lauren had just such a visage. Enough to turn milk sour at ten paces.

  50. tsGH says:

JW- You brought back memories there. ‘Ralph’ lauren was arguably the most underrated player of the invisibles. 😀
He almost always kept Giggs and Van Nastyroy quiet all the time against the manures.

  51. JW says:

Theo’s options are shrinking, Liverpool are after Sturridge so they are unlikely to want our flier as well. Can’t see him going to Newcastle, Italy is a more likley destination. That is, of course, if he doesn’t “sign da ting”.

  52. tsGH says:

😀 Mr Lee and Santos love affair. So tell us, who do you dislike the most Rambo or Santos? Bearing in mind Rambo is loved by AW as much as he loves the Franco-african players and Santos well, he is either shite or has not realised he is not playing 5-a-side on the Copacabana.

  53. allezkev says:

That Lee, moan moan moan, it’s like listening to Wath… 😉

    No sweat Rocky.

    Great team Coach….

    Fishing this w/e Sir Steve?

Hiya Ginge, i’m always good for a word or two.
How about Mind the Gap…. 😀

  54. devilgunner says:

Well Habib. Lee has the best name for adjectives.

    Moany-Lee
    Exiting-Lee
    Amazing-Lee
    grumby-Lee
    Happy-Lee

Good thing there is no such thing as Fucking-Lee 😆

  55. Lee says:

Realistic-Lee…. great result against the scum BUT it was a 10 man scum team and we still are in deperate need of a DM!!And that’s just for starters….

  56. allezkev says:

You made a good point about Arshavin Coach.
Montpelier might be just the kinda game to give him a run-out?
It’s not gonna be muck & bullets like an EPL game.
And it would allow Carzorla a breather.
Problem is 1 point from Schalke make that unlikely.

  57. tsGH says:

Does any one feel sorry for the luckiest manager on the planet Roberto Di Tomato? A few bad results and his butt is getting kicked by Mr Abrahamovich.

They say Roman wants to spend £46M on Falcao and then at least £150k p/w over 4 years. That puts it at roughly £78m over that period. If you factor in Torres at the same amount that is roughly more than most 3rd world countries annual GDP.

  58. Micko says:

A few of the family are Chelsea season ticket holders Tsgh, the last few years have been murder, last season was unbearable.

  59. tsGH says:

Unbearable for you or them Micko? 😀
They are on a gravy train but if Roman you never know as he could just shoot off and forget about them anytime now. I also have a neighbour who holds 2 tickets for the chavs so I get to go with him when he has no one to go along to the bridge with. He can’t stand Mikel, Bertand and Ramires the same way Lee can not stand Rambo and Santos.

Talking of the chavs those thinking we should have got Cahill because he is better than what we have well the defence has been the obvious weakness at Chelsea in recent weeks. In the four games John Terry missed through suspension Chelsea conceded 10 goals. In the other two games he has missed, including the Liverpool game, Chelsea have conceded six goals. Without Terry the side have endured a torrid time at the back. Many people have said that he is a spent force, but it is clear that his influence is still huge at Chelsea and he is still their best defender, by far. Cahill and Luiz are simply not at the same standard, with both prone to being caught out. Cahill is actually as culpable as Luiz at time, his mistakes are just more subtle so tend to pick up less attention.

Further to Terry’s absence the absence of Ashley Cole has also had an impact on the Chelsea back-line. Bertrand is OK, but not near the same standard as Cole yet. If Chelsea think they can move on without Cole and Terry they are sorely mistaken. The two English defenders are their most experienced and best, able to communicate and organize the back-line like none of their other defenders. Another obvious defensive problem that I, and others, have mentioned several times is that Chelsea are very vulnerable on defending from wide positions during transitions. Hazard and Mata, who are usually focused out wide for Chelsea, often drift into central areas, which means when Chelsea lose the ball their full-backs are incredibly vulnerable and can be targeted during swift counter-attacks. This is arguably a wider problem with the system but it is even more exposed without Terry and Cole in the side.

  60. tsGH says:

😀 You crazy man re Scotland. lmao
Only senior officers in the British Army buy land in Scotland for promotion to Brigadier and above. Me I am happy with my sad life on HH.

  61. goonster says:

hey fellas, what’s new? when is the game? i wanna take a sick leave for the rest of the day. i ve been missing way too many arsenal games and its telling on me…….look at my eyes twitch.

  62. rico says:

    It is tomorrow Goonster….

Torres has been dropped by Chelsea for their crucial game against Juve, hope Nikki B finds his touch…

  63. allezkev says:

Hiya Stan, looks like you got your days mixed up.

Don’t worry, I won’t tell Mick, Wath or Lee.
Your secret Is safe with me….

  64. tsGH says:

‘I got a sudden invite for coffee which then went into lunch, very nice though….’ is that the code for a date?

  65. allezkev says:

There ya go Stan, Ginge has it all sorted for ya…

Lewis Holtby. That rumour won’t go away.
Trouble is, the more we’re linked, the less likely there is any truth in it.

  66. goonster says:

am back guys……any news? lewis holtby huh? i ll rather we promote one of our own……..say eisfield or aneke. hey sir steve, how’s fishing?

  67. emma says:

steveP – He’s got a killer left foot like wilshere. Sees the pitch, an eye for a pass and good dribbler. He is one hell of a teenager and AW should make it a priority to get him before it’s too late

  68. goonster says:

emma same can be said about toral harper, kristoff olson, serge gnabry and ryo miyaichi……..come on guys enough of these kids. we need established stars.

  69. emma says:

rico – Yes he is one of those mentioned. He plays for Derby. He was a stand out performer last weekend when crystal palace won against derby 2-0 which was shown on football league show on BBC. He has being leaving up to that billing in previous matches

  70. stevepalmer1 says:

Hi Stan, not been this week yet but not been good at all mate, Hows your sickness fancy taking time off to see Bentner

  71. rico says:

Will be interesting to see if Wenger is serious about him emma… I like the fact he seems keen to add more Brits….

  72. Micko says:

He could just as easily go the same way as Pennant, no thanks, we’ve got enough youngsters in the squad, most find themselves loaned out, a bit of quality is what’s needed now.
Can’t believe I’m agreeing with Stan, he doesn’t even know what day it is !

  73. rico says:

Micko – i’d have to agree there, unless we offload a few kids, and/or Hughes is signed in addition to what the squad so desperately needs…

  74. tsGH says:

I like Holtby but he does not complete 90 mins often enough for some strange reason like Robben in his youth.

Will Hughes looks like a left footed Rambo at 17.

  75. Micko says:

rico, you only have to look at the kids coming through the academy, half of them don’t even get a fair crack of the whip and these are the one’s that Kev is always talking up.
Then there’s the foreign kids we buy, end up loaning them out to far away clubs and never see again, what’s the point.

  76. devilgunner says:

    Evening everyone.

I am watching a masterclass from Barca. How footy should be played.

Before the game I had a run-over on a spuddie. From across the road. Managed to wipe the floor with him. 😆

  77. tsGH says:

You nearly ran over a spuddie? Thats criminal Dev. Just kidding.

Messi is doing his very best to break Mullers goal record isn’t he?

  78. devilgunner says:

    lol

Ran him over with my tongue. Was trying to sneak behind a van in the hope that I had not seen him. But he was wrong. I waited for him to come into view and gave him a couple of nice adjectives. The bonus, and I did not notice it at first, and did not even know it, was that behind him there was an english Arsenal supporter and we murdered him

  79. goonster says:

who’s muller TSGH? the bayern dude? jeez are you freaking kidding me? has he scored that much? and he’s how old? chist why dont we ever sign players like him? i hear he’s unhappy at bayern so let’s get him pronto.

  80. goonster says:

hahaahah devil you wank……i love it. wish i know me a spud. all the crack heads here watch base ball and american football.

  81. devilgunner says:

tbh I have had a field day since Sunday morning. My club’s secretary, CEO, the DOF and some of the staff at my school support the scum. So you can guess the field days I have had since last season’s 5-2 win. Then when the chavs won the CL I was nearly dying with laughter at their disappointed faces. It was pure poetry. I could have written a whole essay on their dismayed faces.

  82. devilgunner says:

Yeah Rico…..I am cruel. I like rubbing it in. Just like Surgical spirit on an open wound. And ……..DO I LIKE THAT!!!!!

  83. devilgunner says:

AW keeps on harping that 4th/3rd place is like a trophy. Well, the day I will see the scum relegated will also be like a trophy. Actually make that equivalent to winning the CL for me.

    I hate that shower.

  84. goonster says:

sorry dev, the scummers are just an irritant to me. just like a fly on a horse’s rump. what i really hate and can’t stand is manure. i hate those lying cheating scum bags…….wish old toilet could just collapse on them all. what a waste of space.

  85. tsGH says:

gonie thomas Muller No. Gerd Muller the best striker of all time With national records of 68 goals in 62 international appearances, 365 goals in 427 Bundesliga games and the international record of 66 goals in 74 European Club games, he was one of the most successful goalscorers of his era.

  86. goonster says:

oh ok…….thanks for clearing that out for me TSGH. so how many has that short cuss scored so far? but his international record stinks.

  87. tsGH says:

81 goals in 1 calendar year. According to sources he is not really human. where is DG to confirm that from his links to David Icke.lol

  88. rico says:

I wasn’t knocking it devil, i’m still waiting to see my neighbour. I am sure he must have changed his shift to work nights….

And yes, that day would be very sweet….

  89. tsGH says:

How many people live next to spuds? My Mrs reckons my next door neighbour was double marching away when he heard our door opening this morning. He thought it was me coming.

He is a nice man but when the scums lose he does not even answer the post man’s call.

  90. goonster says:

TSGH, he’s in la liga, i ll like to see him do that in the epl. am sure shawcross and some other thugs ll have a say in that.

  91. tsGH says:

Goonie, Muller netted 85 times for Bayern Munich and West Germany in just 60 matches while Brazil legend Pele scored 75 goals in 1958 from 53 matches.

  92. tsGH says:

Ha Ha ha. Vain Ronaldo is not far behind either. I can’t believe he was not as good as Reyes at 20 years but mentally the other wanted it more whilst the other was just happy to be ….

That is a deal AW really got wrong even though Reyes had a much better immediate impact with the 2 goals in his first match against the chavs.

  93. nigel tufnel says:

I was saying before connection cut, this friendliness pre and during matches is weak. We need to be more cold, hard. I think it hurt us with rvp also vs manu. We act all friendly, then watch sandro slam our guys, not to mention adebayor.

  94. Micko says:

Tsgh 7.20, sounds like a bit of a rough estate, for the sake of the missus you might wanna consider half an acre in Govan, not have as many roughians up there.

  95. allezkev says:

Are we on for some more good news re: contracts.

Jenkinson signed, Gibbs close to signing, Walcott a possible breakthrough, and he also signs, finally King Henry signs-on for another cameo this January…

That’s it for the January Window though… 🙁

  96. allezkev says:

Thomas Eisfeld, surely Wenger has to give him some opportunities over the next few months?
A great option to have on the bench, with his knack of scoring goals, a great habit to have.

  97. Scott from Oz says:

I agree with a few comments about our mental toughness….Nigel,i think started it.
It was great to see Jack in Bales face standing up for one of his own.
    Afternoon all.
Sitting in a lovely hotel, with 180 degree ocean views, just watching the whales swim by.
I needed this break from work, and the wifes company gives us this every November, though i am only able to cop one night this time…..it is usually a week.
Back to the grind tomorrow though.
I can’t wait for Montpellier……we shold really be despatching them at home, wuite comfortably.
Get this done, and next CL game can be used to blood some kids.
I truly hope Mark Hughes can break his duck very soon.
Not that i lke him,but they have Utd on the weekend 🙂

  98. tsGH says:

    Morning all,

The chavs back line was like the back line that included Stepanovs at old toilet that conceded 6 goals. 😀

I would be glad if they are the first European champions to be knocked out of the group stages. Even their owner thinks the win was fluke.

  99. tsGH says:

Oh no.A nice pay off for him. He has been found out though that he is a lucky manager who could not even manage W Brom. Ah well Benitez is all we need to finish 3rd again. The king of zonal marking is back. Woo Haa. 😀
