Wenger talks '3 deals'…

Morning all,

Just a short one from me this morning to refresh the page.

There is not much news around and I have a few things to be doing, like clearing snow! Nice….

Arsene Wenger talked about three deals yesterday in his press conference.

The ‘will he, won’t he ‘ Walcott (try saying when you are tiddled) saga seems highly likely to come to and end within the next couple of days as Wenger said he was 99% sure that a deal would be signed, keeping the winger/striker/player that can’t head a ball at the club until 2016. That will be good news. Not so much because of the quality of Walcott, or lack of it as some would say but hopefully it’s the beginning of us showing that we can keep a player and players can be loyal. Let’s be honest, love him or hate him, if Walcott really is only about money, he could get a lot more than we are offering him elsewhere and plenty of top clubs would sign him up tomorrow.

Second up was Cavani. I was actually quite surprised as yesterday morning as we all talked about the player, I didn’t expect to hear Wenger talking about him later on in the day. But talk is as far as he will get I suspect. That isn’t a dig at the manager but reports suggest that  any deal to land the Napoli star could amount to a staggering £91 million, that’s a lot of money.

I think it’s safe to say that we can forget him.

Finally, Wilfried Zaha and Wenger said:

We are looking at him, but at the moment we have not made a bid for him.

This looks like another battle between us and the Mancs as Fergie has already had an offer turned down.
That’s it for today folks, have a good one.

Stay safe on the snowy roads in the UK and keep warm…….

    Good morning all,

Not sure that I’m going to attempt any snow clearing as its coming down thick and fast here at the moment.

Wait a minute…. the snow is easing off, I have to go, got to get into town to collect a prescription, only have enough meds to last until Monday.

    Back later….I hope.

  2. gunnernet says:

    Morning gunners!

“Let’s be honest, love him or hate him, if Walcott really is only about money, he could get a lot more than we are offering him elsewhere and plenty of top club would sign him up tomorrow.”

Errrrr, I don’t think so. If that was the case, the player would ve gone by now. Simply, he didn’t attract any interest at all. He is not at that level yet. 100k pw player? I highly doubt it. I hope i am wrong.

  3. Scott from Oz says:

Theo is not yet worth 100k a week, but that is not to say some clubs would not pay it.
On the other hand, if it was only about playing striker, i am sure Stoke would have given him a chance.
Not knocking Theo here, but it is a bit of both….money and position.
He was probably testing the water to see what his market value is.
Some days he looks a 150k a week player, but others he looks 50k.
Good luck to him if he gets the money he wants.

  4. stevepalmer1 says:

    Morning all,
Nice one Rico, What would i prefer, Pay Theo 90 grand a week or paying an out and out striker 90 grand, of course i would want Theo after all he’s 100% Arsenal through and through as long as he gets the money, lets face it the prolific scoreing will probably follow in a couple of years and we would have have saved the transfer fee. Who are we kidding theo gets knocked off the ball so easy he misses more than enough chances, clubs are clammouring over themselves for his signature and we try and keep Theo while we let the leagues top scorer go to United, now thats why they win things and we struggle for top 4. I know you have backed him Rico and i admire you for that but Theo will not be our saviour his shooting is like his crossing spasmodic if he is anything its on the wing and if you offered me Wright Philips or Aaron Lennon in his place i would take them in a heartbeat.

  5. Scott from Oz says:

Morning all…sorry, forgot the first time 🙂
Steve, i reckon the problem is if we lose Theo, it wll do more damage to the morale of Gooners than keeping him will do us good.
What is happening, or NOT happening, with Sagna?
Not so long ao, we were led by the muppets in the media he wanted out.

  6. stevepalmer1 says:

Wenger has stated that Oxlaid Chamberlain will ultimatly be a midfielder, personally he shows fight he challenges for every thing he tackles he heads he shoots why dont we give him a try or do we know his contract is tied up for a few years.

  7. stevepalmer1 says:

Morning Scott Sagna ia like Theo, not many knocking on their doors, but if anyone needs a pay hike Sagna should be one of them.

  8. rico says:

Scott – AW said its not about money, or position for TW… Make of that what you like 😉

Thanks Sp, I back him yes, but I know he’s not doing what he should be, I’d be very foolish to think otherwise….

For me its a case of his contract situation being at the wrong time. Had he two years left, he’d be grateful for what he’s getting for his kind of performances…

  9. Ashwin says:

The only good thing is the breaking of the trend of leaving players. But it has costed quite a lot. Its hard to gauge if this apparent new deal and the new position has done anything positive to Walcott after city performance. I hope that at 3.5 m Diame atleast signs for Arsenal.

  10. Bradster says:

    Hi all,

I think it’s funny that we are comparing Theo and RVP. I remember RVP was a poor finisher where he blazed over or wide at 23 but a killer shot outside the box. we just didn’t need to worry because we had better strikers and the game was already won.

Walcott needs to hone his finishing but he at least gets into the right positions and was unlucky with the dink over the keeper and the poke, other days it would’ve gone in.
He’s not prolific but who at his age is and at the same price and wage currently?

  11. Scott from Oz says:

Actually yes it was Rico….you are right.
He has been very quiet of late, though, as have the rumours.
Maybe his agent told him to hit some form before talking himself up.
Theo is better and more consistent than 12 months ago.
He still is not consistent enough, but at least he is inching forward.

  12. stevepalmer1 says:

Buying and selling players is all about good management, Keeping Squilly and selling Bartley sticks in my throat, Arshavin loaned bentner loaned and all the rest loaned. Wingers as centre forwards when Park was never used midfielders used as wingers when Ryo was sent out on loan centre forwards looked at when campbell is still out on loan (i think) when do we use some of the players we are still paying. The window is open why arn’t we off loading why arn’t we using Good only knows

  13. rico says:

Brad – he was shocking against Swansea but you are right, he got in the right place at the right time, just his last touch was awful. Same though can be said about Giroud.

    We need a goal scorer….

If Sagna wants a new deal, best he does zip it Scott and glad he has. Now he needs to get back to playing the way we all know he can.

  14. rico says:

Sticks in mine too Sp…. Bartley isn’t the greatest, but sure as heck he’d be better than Squilli, JD and right now I’d even add Kos to that list….

  15. Bradster says:

I agree SP, why bother buying them and not using them when we need a player for that position. Fergie plays the young players if he needs to.
I see our guys burning out again (Santi, Wilshere and Arteta) because Wenger doesn’t rotate. Sad thing is that we can rotate between Ox, AA, Diaby, Rosicky, Ramsey, Gnarby and even Santos on the wing.

I actually think Squilli can play well if he is treated like Mert. His positioning and reading is pretty good. He’s just slow and soft in the tackle.

  16. rico says:

SS’s report that Walcott has agreed a new 3.5 year deal….

He turned down one in August which was a five year offer….

  17. SD London says:

Go on Rico , i need more. I am too lazy to research.

Although he looks scary , if I was a defender I would be worried just by his looks.

  18. ozgunner10 says:

Morning all – Theo has Wenger over a barrel with the chain of events that are now the Arsenal Football Club – Smart kid and he’ll get his way no doubt. I don’t agree with the notion that there are others lining up to give him 100k but it doesn’t matter, Wenger is done if these lads keep walking away from his promise land and he knows it.

  19. tsGH says:

    Morning all…

    A ‘cute’ post… 😉

A beautiful white day. lol. Scott is jealous but hey I wouldn’t mind wearing a jamaican style string vest like he is at the moment. 😀

I think the issue with Arsenal’s recruitment policy has nothing to do with the initial price tag but the 3-4 year salary bill of such a purchase.

For instance SC19 was on 60k at malaga and is now on about 70k p/w allegedly. When you do the sums it equates to about 3.9 million a year which is very manageable. On the other hand a British player bought for a fee in that region would command at least 90k p/w or 5M a year if the said player is an international level player.

So I think we will always struggle to compete with the power houses. Someone like Goetze is on £60k p/w at less than 21 y.o if BVB were to accept a bid from us at lets say £30M the deal over 3 to 4 years will cost us at least £45M and that is what the money men may not sanction imho…

Note that even MA08 was on 80k p/w at Everton…

  20. frednerk says:

    Wenger Say’s News:

We are overloaded in midfield…End of that one then…..A.

It seems we want to announce the walnut deal before the chelsea game.

  21. southyorkshiregunner says:

    NEW ONE?
Tim Krul to sign for before 1st February 2013
    AC Milan 3/1
    Liverpool 16/1
    Ajax 20/1
    Arsenal 20/1
    West Brom 20/1
    Fulham 33/1
    Inter Milan 33/1

Edinson Cavani to sign for before 1st February 2013
    Arsenal 13/8
    PSG 8/1
    Chelsea 14/1
    Manchester City 16/1
    Juventus 25/1

Jonas Olsson to sign for before 1st February 2013
    Arsenal 4/1
    Fenerbahce 6/1
    Chelsea 12/1
    Everton 20/1
    Liverpool 20/1
    Newcastle 20/1
    Sunderland 25/1

We are also favourites to land David Villa, Nani, Ashley Young and Cabaye

  22. tsGH says:

Is it good business for Theo… if you consider he could have signed a 75k per week deal a year ago…. the sums show that even if he is on 90k p/w now he is no better off… and note the 50% tax as well.As always the sweatie agent is the greater winner.

  24. The BearMan says:

    Morning all!

    Will he, won’t he??

Referring to both Wenger n Theo!

Even if Cavani were to agree to leave his current squad, would Wenger sanction such a large sum on one player? The Wenger I know will buy an entire squad with that sum.

I wonder if Walcott is delaying his decision to see if Arsenal is active in this transfer window. The same question asked by RvP – Ambition!

With Diaby back, Wenger might decide he has enough quality in his squad. The outcome of the Chelsea game might be the deciding fact!

  25. Scott from Oz says:

    Ginge,
The weather is smashing us over here of late.
It is back to a reasonable temperature tomorrow.
We even copped some rain earlier…..i just hope it helped where it’s needed.
    String vest….not quite mate lol

Given Wenger’s history it amazes me stories like the Villa rubbish and now Cavani ever make it anywhere near the papers – like Wenger would pay those amounts for anyone – he’s even knock back messi rather than pay figurers like those mate hahha

We are overloaded in midfield ….? Really?

I wouldn’t class Frimpong or Coquelin as Arsenal first eleven-type players and Diaby will be on the treatment table very shortly. There’s three I wouldn’t mind replacing with world class players.

I also wouldn’t mind replacing Squillaci, Djourou and Santos in defence with world class players
    That makes six I’d replace

I also wouldn’t mind Gervais and Chamakh replacing with world class players.
    That makes eight I’d replace.

  29. Wavy says:

    Atkins sacked by Southampton.

Has the world gone mad or am I missing something?

Replaced him withe the guy who was sacked by Espanyol in November. Pochetino, hardly coming on with the right cv. They were bottom of Ligue 1!

Odds on Southamptons survival. I would close the book now!

  30. rico says:

    Interesting odds there Syg

fred – he’s right, but the wrong balance…

Arry has gone from being ‘sure’ he would get M’Vila to saying now that he likes him but is leaving it to the chairman. Also, other clubs are interested in signing him….

  31. southyorkshiregunner says:

I used to work with adkins’ assistant managers dad in 1990 … I helped carry him out of one of the tunnels on a stretcher when he fractured his face and skull after a severe rock fall…

  32. tsGH says:

    Scary SYG…

    Hope he was ok afterwards…

‘arry is a likeable clown… He does that to win the scum sport journo’s over…

A man who washes his dirty laundry in public can’t be trusted imo…
I wonder what he says behind close doors attending one of those Water Rats Grand lodge meetings… 😉

  33. rico says:

I am stunned by the Adkins news, not long ago they were league one, now look where he has taken them…

Shocking behaviour by the Southampton owners…

  34. southyorkshiregunner says:

He never worked again Ginge. Keith Crosby – He was a man mountain of a guy as well.
A very badly designed job in temperatures in excess of 50deg and humidity like you wouldn’t believe .. The HSE wouldn’t allow it in this day and age

  35. ozgunner10 says:

agree Rico – they seem to have been quite level headed in their handling of the club and i know their fans are much happier with these guys rather than the last idiot – Wonder what really happened?

  36. rico says:

Maybe Shaw will wish he hadn’t signed on now….

😆 re John Cross. Maybe Kroenke will be thinking about how much we could sell him for in the summer…..

  37. frednerk says:

    We are overloaded in midfield

Wengers words not mine chaps…don’t shoot the messenger

    Rico ..remember the atkins story.

  38. ozgunner10 says:

fred – we’re overloaded everywhere …. with players who just aren’t good enough to step up consistently lol

  39. stevepalmer1 says:

Arry’s, doing what Wengers doing Public relations, keeping his club in the public eye. Wenger will only buy someone that will make us better, can’t be many out there that can do that eh, Arry just wants everybody to know he’s still about, he just needs the nod and he will make some dodgy deals, obviously lining he’s own pocket,I expect Arry to be looking at the players at spuds, thats he’s normal practice. While Wenger will surprise us with a couple of unheard of players in the last couple of hours of the window. I figure he’ll spend about 10 mill maybe a little more if he manages to mug somebody off for a few quid.

  40. tsGH says:

    one trick pony old Harry…

Next he will be calling Sol out of retirement. He could even do with the Squid.. lol

  41. frednerk says:

    Syg
Did you hear the interview given by arry’s lap-dog(bond) this morning
He think’s Loc Remy is as good as Henry.

  42. DutchGooner10 says:

    From Straight Talking Gooners

One of the big points that Wenger makes is that “…all the players who can strengthen us are cup-tied in the Champions League.”

There are numerous other obstacles in the January transfer window; other top European clubs are challenging for league titles and are in the Champions League so they won’t want to lose their best players. Clubs also need to be sure that they have enough time to bring in replacements.

  43. stevepalmer1 says:

    Breaking News,
Wenger buys new shoes in the January sales what a bargain, was in fashion ten years ago but wenger reckons their coming back. LOL

  44. southyorkshiregunner says:

Hiya Dutch … Cavani isn’t cup tied for the champs league …. nor are hundreds of players who could make us better ..
    Steven Capoue for 1
    Wesley Sneijder for 2

  45. DutchGooner10 says:

    SYG

Just posted the snippet showcasing Wenga protocol. He can’t find a believer in me for his spin.

Thing is Arry paints his masters in a corner with public statements. Demanding budget even if purses are tight.

  46. rico says:

    The rumour site:

    ’18 Jan 2013 02:39:05
Wenger seen in terminal 4 at heathrow airport early this morning. Could only be heading to Italy or France. He wants to add his personal touch to the transfer? Only a world class player will get aw to hop a plane to convince him to sign’.

What’s he doing on a weekend break, we have a game on Sunday 😉

  47. DutchGooner10 says:

Besides every Gooner knows the CL big ears isn’t our focus so what’s up with the cup-tied bullshit. Another thin excuse revisited.

  48. Lee says:

Who do you really think he’ll sign? Cavani and Capoue would sort us out big time! What a lift for the players and fans?!?!?

  49. southyorkshiregunner says:

Capoue and Cavani are definitely what we need but Wenger will probably slip a 16 year old prodigy from Chad in through the back door …

  50. tsGH says:

Hi DG.. good one… you can’t blame me for not knowing the chavs score.. lol

Hi Oz just read your message. Hope the weather is not as freaky as Scott’s… lol

    I like Adkins… a gentleman of a manager

  51. tsGH says:

Lee watch it… I am a grass for Stan and AW… just because you and Queen Latifah did not work out, you do not have to hate on the wenger swagger. 😀

SYG… I think President Hollande of france has sent the French forces to Mali to cross over the boarder to Chad to discover the first ever Fullani Chad player as you have mentioned…

  52. Wavy says:

With the pen that lay the golden ink! (Syg – earlier)

How do we feel about that then?

  53. Wavy says:

Just to confirm, Theo Walcott has now signed his three-and-a-half-year deal as revealed by our man David Ornstein, who has been across the story from day one. It’s been a drawn-out process but finally Arsenal fans can relax and David can get some sleep!

  56. rico says:

Thank goodness that saga is over……

fred, that’s testing my memory. Did you send it to the yahoo address?

  57. SD London says:

Thanks Rico for the Edinson Cavani update.

Although i still watched the Youtube clips and i must say he looks dangerous.

Now where did that rumor come from that we are interested in him?

    Laughable really.

  58. rico says:

Ah but Wenger said he’d like to sign him SD and he’s not as expensive as he thinks 😉

    Adam, don’t you start!

  59. agirlagunner says:

Four million hits AND Theo signing (finally). The lady of the house must be happy! 😛

    Hello, all. 🙂

  60. agirlagunner says:

Our home has come a long way, hasn’t it? 🙂 The weather here is absolutely lovely. I’m tempted to go on hols. How is it where you are?

  61. agirlagunner says:

Hiya, Adam. 🙂 What has Mrs. Adam been up to? 😯 😉 I’ve been trying to recover from my vacation. 😀 Not having much success.

  62. Adam says:

Hi Agag. Mrs Adam has been very bad but I think the least said about that the better. She sends her regards.
Weather here is quite awful really. Not as much snow on this side of town as our resident country girl but enough to keep me chained to the stove keeping Mrs Adam supplied with tasty titbits while she resorts to online browsing for Maharishi trousers. 🙂

  63. devilgunner says:

Good Evening my Esteemed Fellow Gunners.

So it seems that Theo has finally signed.

Good. That is the 6th Brit who has been secured.

Rico….you must be up there among that stars with that smile!!! 😉

Now for Diame and maybe Zaha.

  64. agirlagunner says:

Eeeek. So much snow, rico. 😕 I am amazed that you guys manage at all. 😛 As for our home, we are going from strength to strength, I love it.

Adam, tell Mrs Adam, I bought six pairs of shoes, that I am finding out are as achy as they are pretty. Tsk tsk. Ouch. 😉 Be glad, Mrs Adam isn’t looking at bags.

  65. rico says:

Hi devil. Not really actually, kind of got fed up with TW really for faffing around but glad he’s signed.

Stopping the rot was important imho, he’s a really good squad player 🙂

No more talk now Wenger….. Sign at least two ‘proper’ players….

  66. rico says:

It’s not so good for the chickens agag, Fido loves it though.

Just been for a little drive in the snow – it was fun …

😀 Shame on Rico for advising her client Theo to hold our Arsenal to ransom… all the stress the protracted contract negotiations caused to the board made Stan buy a new ranch to practice his favourite sport lassoing as a means of releasing stress…

The only reason she loved Theo was because she is his advisor…

  68. agirlagunner says:

Hiya, Dev. Howdy? How’s the little prince?

And there aren’t many idiots on now, rico. There used to be a time, when they kept on popping up. Hah.

  69. Adam says:

Agag. She tells me she can’t wear Jimmy Choos or anything with a heel these days as she has had problems with her hooves. She seems to favour the Fratelli Rosetti flats or sensible shoes from the Mephisto shop. Don’t start about the bags. I bought her a Mulberry Bayswater and she never uses it as she tells me it is too big. 🙂
    For what? I ask.

  70. darkside goonster says:

SOJI, wenger out, theo is shit! adam is adamant, devil is well a devil, AGAG is a HOT! kev is a swindler, WATH is old, micko is a drunk, lee is a gnome, ginge is skirt wearing tosser and rico is a veggie…….hello guys nice to hear that theo finally signed, i was really getting bored with that story, next stop van persie? oh wait its too late! COYFGS!

  71. devilgunner says:

The little prince is feeling great Agag. He is there among the stars of heaven at the moment……..I have just bought him a long bow and some arrows (toy ones of course). But he is having the time of his life shooting them. Next week he will be nine. And I have promised him that if he takes care of it I will take him to archery school when he will be ten next year (that is the minimum age they take them in. They also teach fencing there bdw).

    Good Evening Ginge…my Fellow Conspirator.

  72. agirlagunner says:

Adam. I bought a pair each of: Jimmy Choo, Bottega Veneta, Sergio Rossi, Max Kibardin, Gianmarco Lorenzi, and Brian Atwood. 🙂 So many shoes and nowhere to go. 😛

Tell her that Repetto flats are comfy and Tory Burch Reva’s aren’t bad. 🙂

  73. devilgunner says:

    what?????…………..fartside Goonie now???

lol. He takes the biscuit that guy surely does.

    Farside Goonie!!!!!

  74. tsGH says:

Hi Goonie, I always knew you are a sellout you are from a greek god casanova to well…

A wooden spoon for Rico for being the only person I know (at least in the cyber world) to believe TW would sign da ting… then again I take that back because she is getting a percentage of the signing on fee… lol

  75. tsGH says:

Hi Mr Dev… me a conspirator? Nah… just a looney!

AW finally stole one of your coaching books for wednesday… 😉

  76. agirlagunner says:

rico, that’s a great start. those Bikkembergs are trendy, too and I just bet would suit you. 🙂 🙂

Goonie, howdy?? Still hyper, I see. Dev, that’s nice. 🙂 But archery is such a hard discipline.

    Hello, hello. Ginger!

  77. Adam says:

Agag. She likes flats with a bit of a sole as she doesn’t get on with the ballet pumps styles. She is just checking those out but asks for any recommendations for something a bit more chunky. Like herself in fact. 🙂

  78. devilgunner says:

I know Agag. But he does not like football. He prefers athletics. Much as it is a bit of a let down for me, I am still glad that he choose such a sport. And even at school he excells in athletics. But football is another story for him. He so fast that at school he is already racing with kids who are a year older. And even I have great difficulty keeping slightly ahead of him. In a few months time I reckon he will start overtaking me and by the time he will be ten and a half he will be just a blur in the distance for me.

Then it will be the bike for me and sprinting for him. 😉

  79. devilgunner says:

Regarding archery if he starts at such a young age it might not be difficult for him since kids learn fast. It will be difficult if he starts when he is older.

  80. agirlagunner says:

Adam, Mrs Adam is reading, watch who you’re calling chunky. 😛

There are some Repetto’s with a kitten heel/ low wedge. What about Theodora and Callum? Or Missoni? Chunky and colorful and fun.

  81. rico says:

    Cheeky Ts 😉

    Hi goonster…

agag – surely you didn’t buy all those shoes on your last vacation???

    I don’t even own that many 🙂

  82. agirlagunner says:

Awww, about football. 🙁 🙁 On the other hand, athletics is supremely exciting to watch, Dev. 🙂 If a bit tiring for you.

  83. potter says:

Sounds like Theo Devil, more of a runner than a footballer. Hopefully in 15 years he will be able to keep you in the mode that you wish to be accustomed too.

  84. allezkev says:

Agag. That, as I have recently discovered, is a Staddle stone that Rico posted at the top. All us English have them. They are a kind of fertility symbol. When covered in snow they have extra significance. 🙂

  86. rico says:

You are a cheeky toad Adam, I moved that big stone lump back in the summer 🙂

With the help of a sack truck of course 😉

  87. allezkev says:

Hi Rico, it’s quite busy, but I must do my duty.

The general public deserve a service, and I shall strive to provide one…

And yes, it was me, the Cavani rumour was my idea.

    Next up Cristiano Ronaldo!

    You heard it here first.

Hi Adam, gotta go, my public need me…

    Lee, a gnome??????? 😉

  88. agirlagunner says:

Playing in the snow, rico. 🙂 😛

Chie Mihara, Tibi, Swedish Hasbeens, and Opening Ceremony, Adam. 🙂 🙂

  89. rico says:

No chance agag, up and down the garden making sure the feather ones are ok 😉

Ak, just be a careful Mad Max 😛

  90. stevepalmer1 says:

Oh no another 3 years of filthy rich Walcott, maybe he will buy a sat nav for his brightly coloured boots.

  91. devilgunner says:

Now that Theo is signed, who do you think AW will sign?

I know that trying to predict this is very difficult due to AW and Arsenal being AW and Arsenal. but who do you think mates??

I think it will be Diame and Zaha!!

  92. gunnernet says:

Hi gunners. Does this mean that Wenger will open his chequebook at last?? He said that after Theo resignment recruitment will take place.. Will he live up to his word or did Theo signed too early living him short of excuses 🙂 ??

  93. Scott from Oz says:

    Morning all.
I am glad Theo signed, more to stop the flood of players leaving than anything, but still feel he will continue improving.
What number is Cavani taking 🙂

  94. Lee says:

Agag maybe you could get some extra feet grafted onto your legs? You’ll be able to wear more shoes….just a thought?!?! 😆

  95. devilgunner says:

Capoue I like very much Lee. But Diame is also good. Cavani and Jovetic???? I would be very surprised if they come.

  96. Lee says:

Emma is very pro Capoue too Coach. I still really think we need a lethal striker or we could miss out on the CL spot.

  97. devilgunner says:

The above is who I think will sign. On my part I would still go for Diame, Zaha, Shaw and Cavani.

But then that is too much

  98. Scott from Oz says:

Capoue, Fellaini, Me’Villa….there are a few options.
    New striker…..but we’ve got Theo 🙂
    Cavani….mmmmmm, oh the thought.

  99. devilgunner says:

As I said I like Capoue a lot. But from the above you can notice that with the exception of Cavani, all the others play in England.

  100. rico says:

I just hope we get a fit and proper defence minded midfielder and a goal scorer this month at least.

Ideally, we need a keeper and a Mbiwa/Sakho kind of player too….

  101. devilgunner says:

Dawson (scum), Frazier Campbell, Bent, M,Vila, Butland, Dede (Vasco), Brunt, Sissoko, Downing, Llorente, Aspas, are all free in the summer.

Dede I would take him in a heartbeat. Better than Lucio imo.

  102. Lee says:

I’ve got the 4-5 game at shitehart lane on my planner – and whenever I watch it I just can’t stop smiling!

  103. devilgunner says:

That is what I thought Rico. If Capoue is wanted by Everton then that must mean that Fellaini is on the move. He would be priceless for AFC. It would mean that Diaby and Wilshere may play once a week alternating between Arteta, Cazorla, Diaby, Fellaini/Capoue, Coquelin, Wilshere. But Frimpong may have to go though.

  104. devilgunner says:

Seems as if no one is here.

Good Night my Esteemed friends. Time to go and wrap the envelope around me.

  105. smudge says:

IMHO Le grove is the best fucking blog in the world!!! Bring back Geoff, Pedro now thats not say you aint good but we need a fucker like
    Geoff to get Wenger gone!

  106. allezkev says:

You gotta hand it to Theo’s agent, because he, or they, have run rings around Arsenal’s negotiators…
Three and a half years, with the possibility of two more big deals in the pipeline…

From Arsenal’s perspective, they’ll have to tie him down by the summer of 2014, when he still has 2 years left on this deal, or sell him…
I don’t think we could stick another long drawn out saga with him…
But who knows, when you consider the idiots working for AFC….

  107. allezkev says:

That’s it Gooners, I’m off for the night.

I’ll leave you all in the hands of our resident DJ.
    Take it away Smudge.

    Night all..

  108. goonster says:

ah come on you guys! cavani??? really??…..tell you what if we end up signing him, i ll, i ll, i ll, marry AGAG’s grand ma!

  109. devilgunner says:

Now that caps it all…………….I WISH CAVANI COMES TO ARSENAL.. 😆 Maybe we will see granny whip Fartside Goonie into shape.
