Three out for Sunday. Arsene Wenger under pressure, from the Press….

Morning all.

Laurent Koscielny is out for at least three weeks through injury which I guess we expected. It’s a real shame, especially with Utd arriving at The Emirates. Thank goodness Gabriel has already served his one match ban. Now it’s down to Merts, Gabriel and Chambers to protect Petr Cech.

Flamini and Arteta remain on the injured list too…

Mathieu Debuchy is apparently thinking about moving on in January in order to get more playing time and I suppose that’s no great surprise either. Hector Bellerin has made the right-back position his own and clearly an odd appearance in the domestics cups is not enough for the Frenchman. What did I say yesterday about players who aren’t prepared to fight for their place in the side and for the team? Well if the story about Debuchy is true, he’s clearly not prepared to fight for the right-back position, instead preferring to move on to a club where he’ll be guaranteed first choice.

Arsene Wenger threatened to walk out of his early morning press conference after repeated questions about his choice to play David Ospina on Tuesday rather than Petr Cech and when asked whether Mourinho was right when suggesting he was the only manager in football who was not under pressure.

Sky Sportsโ€™ Andy Burton asked:

Was Jose Mourinho right when he says thereโ€™s only one manager not under pressure?

Wengerย didn’t like that:

Stop that story or we stop the press conference.

Whether Mourinho is right or wrong matters not but when did Mourinho dictate what interviewers ask football managers? Totally wrong imo.

There’s a full transcript of the managers interview in the Mirror HERE.

As said before, no-one knows what targets Arsene Wenger is set by Stan Kroenke or the board and until we do, one can only assume he’s doing all that is asked of him. Doesn’t mean it’s right but it is the way it is and unless the owner/board decide otherwise, Arsene Wenger will remain the Arsenal manager.

Again, that doesn’t means that it’s right or what a section of fans would like to be the case, but it is how it is.

Typing ‘Wenger Out’ each and every day in a comment on the blogs won’t change anything either as fans have been doing that for years on other blogs but where is Arsene Wenger? Yes, he’s still at Arsenal as manager. Maybe one day he will get sick of the abuse and walk away but I doubt it and history would suggest he always sees through a contract.

Maybe one day Stan Kroenke might think it’s time for a change and simply not offer Arsene Wenger a new contract but somehow I think that would be something sat in his ‘too difficult to deal with’ tray..

Who knows but right now I’m right behind the players and hope that they start performing for their manager and maybe then the press conferences for Arsene Wenger might get a little easier.

As will watching the team we all support and love….

  1. Goonster says:

So I guess we could all just agree and shut up huh rico?? Why the club burns?? It’s called a debate maam. Plus it’s not as if things have been rosy. You get what you give. Had the ageing feench man *for a lack of a better word ca use trust me I ll love to let a few fly* done what was required no one ll be here screaming wenger out. Lee has even jumpwd on the band wagon ffs. Morning all.

  2. potter says:

The press inevitably want to continue the spat between the two managers because they have reduced football to the level of a soap opera. It’s been open season on Arsenal for some time and despite all of his protestations he is feeling the pressure as today’s walk out proves.Maybe he has been given a target and he can see it slipping away from him.

  3. Goonster says:

And for the records scott comments are low because of dear leader has succeeded in killing our collective arsenal spirit. No one wants to keep yelling arsene out but when things aren’t changing and we all know who’s behind it what are meant to do??? Grin and bear it??? Neville chamberlain did that and we all know the result. There’s got to be a debate that’s why it’s called a blog. You have your opinion I have mine. We don’t have to agree but that don’t mean we won’t debate!!!

  4. Lee says:

Stan, that bandwagon has been rolling for fucking years and I’ve not just jumped on it. I can no longer wear my rose tinted Arsenal glasses…. time for change!

  5. rico says:

Absolutely not Goonster, It’s far from being a debate when someone simply types ‘Wenger out’, it’s old news. I want AW gone but certainly don’t feel the need to write it everyday..

I also want Kroenke out as imo, everything starts at the top but this place is getting rather boring because debate isn’t going on any more, not really…

  6. rico says:

Well at some stage, if it carries on being a boring ‘Wenger out’ forum, there will be no HH because I don’t write each and every day for that. Simples.

  7. scottfromoz says:

    Morning all.
To all of you who replied to my comment overnight, show me when I last jumped on bleating about Wenger.
It’s ALWAYS in response to the ongoing comments that you cut and paste each day, so again I ask you give us something different for a change.
Say something positive about the club.
I mean, the favourite comment from plenty is “its Arsenal FC, not Arsene FC” so why the hell cant you talk about club for a change??
    Boring.
    Tedious.
    Smile ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Lee says:

What’s more annoying “Wenger out” or fans that still think he is the right man to manage Arsenal? After our recent European performances I know what camp I’m in…..

  9. Goonster says:

So what do we talk about then?? The marvelous football we ve been playing lately?? The great intricate passing? ? The wonder goals or individual brilliance??? Come on rico there’s nothing grest about the arsenal currently. Fans are in shambles. I haven’t heard from adam in weeks and am worried. When was the last time we saw my fellow dutch man, agag, bondex and heck even rocky!!! Things are dire. You(highbury house) have given us a forum to air our grievances. How else are we supposed to when you can’t even sing at the emirates!!!

  10. Goonster says:

We keep yapping about the players we have are not good enough yet west ham with a less talented squad has gone on to beat us shitty and poop and all away from Upton park!! So what’s the problem then??? Kroenke I guess. Hilarious.

  11. rico says:

To be honest Lee, I think most on here believe the way forward for the club is a new manager and new owner, but don’t need to shout about each day. I know I don’t. I guess that’s because I believe nothing will change until Kroenke either goes or grows a pair.

Half the problem imo is that the stadium has far too many plastic fans who don’t give a toss either way… And whose fault is that I wonder…

  12. Goonster says:

All am saying is stop knocking us wenger out folks rico and Scott. It’s a free country the last time I checked ๐Ÿ˜€ we have our opinions you have yours but don’t blame the us for the low comments. Blame wenger. He’s the elephant in the room!!!

  13. Lee says:

Well, now I looked over Jordan and what did I see
Comin’ for to carry me home
There was a band of angels a comin’ after me
Comin’ for to carry me home

    Swing low, sweet chariot
Comin’ for to carry me home
    Swing low, sweet chariot
Comin’ for to carry me home

Well, I’m sometimes up and I’m sometimes down
Comin’ for to carry me home
But I know my soul is heavenly bound
Comin’ for to carry me home

    Swing low, sweet chariot
Comin’ for to carry me home
    Swing low, sweet chariot
Comin’ for to carry me home

Well, now if you get there before I do
Comin’ for to carry me home
Tell all of my friends that I’m a comin’ too
Comin’ for to carry me home

    Swing low, sweet chariot
Comin’ for to carry me home
    Swing low, sweet chariot
Comin’ for to carry me home
Well, now they’re comin’ for to carry me home

  14. Goonster says:

Ozil sanchez santi rambo kozzer and even theo ll make any team great. We have a cracking team but come off shorts most times and we blame kroenke. Poor fella must be sneezing his balls out every fucking day ๐Ÿ˜€

  15. rico says:

Goonster. It’s called constructive criticism, debate and all that stuff but what I’m on about is the ‘Wenger Out’ comments each day and from now on they’ll go in the bin…

  16. Goonster says:

Maureen has an abysmal record against Alan fucking pardew. I mean pardew??? Seriously?? Yet we can’t even muster a single shot on goal against the chavs. So *in stewie griffin’s voice * what’s the deuce??? What’s our excuse for not besting maureen just once. Once ffs.

  17. scottfromoz says:

    Lee, fekk off Hahahahahaha
The a Rugby should be a ripper game.
    50/50 for mine.
Guys, you all want to keep mouthing off about those fans who want Wenger in charge.
    Who are they??
Tell me how many regulars on here want him to stay on.
You read what you want to read and the rest you make up to suit yourselves.
use your bloody eyes for a change.
I challenged a few of you a week or so back to show where I’ve said Wenger must remain, and none of you could.
I also said a week back that in 2014 I’d commented wished Wenger left…..Rico backed me….you went silent.
Well, until the next day when you started again with the same crap.
    Please explain.

  18. Kel says:

Tbh rico i think they write a little more than wenger out a lot of fans on here do give genuine reasons as to why they think he should go, it’s not the greatest of debates I agree but This is what surrounds Arsenal at the moment.

Yes I wish we were talking about how the club is going forward, I wish we were running the rule over the new striker and defensive mid we should have bought, but we’re not because of one man…

The fans base is divided rico i wish it weren’t but it is and this type of debate is only gonna intensify across all blogs imo.

Maybe I should start telling other posters that their comments are shit or boring etc.. yeah that sounds like a great debate.

  19. rico says:

I’m not saying you can’t want AW out Goonster, just I happen to believe ‘Wenger Out’ written each day is ruining HH…

Lee, really looking forward to the game, England win for me. Recent results against the Aussies have been good…

  20. Kel says:

I think We’ll Find It Hard To Break them down lee, I’d love to beat those pricks but I’m thinking a draw…

Actually when was the last time we beat them in the league.?

  21. Goonster says:

Rico not trying to be a kiss ass here but HH is the best well run arsenal blog out there and I don’t think it’s getting ruined by that…apathy is why comments are down. Ask yourself this. Why bother post a comment on a blog when nothing changes

  22. scottfromoz says:

    Stan, it is getting ruined.
Seriously, every day is the same now.
I hate to say it but it’s true.
Kel, as we’ve discussed of late, what’s boring is when some of us defend Wenger on a single point, then you others start carrying on about how we defend him on ALL points.
    That’s boring.
As I said a week ago, and you all went silent on the topic for a day or so, I stated in May 2014 I wanted Wenger to leave.
Here we are well over a year later and some of you still say on a daily basis how I can’t see him doing wrong and am scared to see the back of him.
Don’t let the facts get in the way of a good tale…..

  23. Kel says:

If I remember right tho lee utd had already won the league.. so that don’t count imo lol…

I think it was the Henry header game…

  24. Wath says:

    Scott you Wenger lover…….

Wenger … in out in out in out in out in out………….. shake it all about………… Ok right i’m dizzy now… GG needed…! Problem solved.

As much as anyone wants wenger gone or not if everyone is honest about it and sensible they will all know it isn’t going to happen and most definitely not during the season.

I can’t be arsed moaning about the bloke as it’s going over the same old shit and yes it’s real and it’s true but it’s also boring AND it won’t make one iota to what happens to him because I can’t stand what he is doing to my Club…!

What does bother me is that the players react and when they don’t that’s as much of a problem. It’s also a problem that we have a non participating owner who only “seems” to care about the cash flow and his investment another major concern because when the owner don’t care that’s lack of ambition from the top down and that sort of sums us up doesn’t it…. A rudderless ship that mediocre because we have no will to go forth and try and be the best we can………. Again that’s just how it feels and looks to me and of course I could be totally wrong. I probably am as I am wrong nearly as much as Scott…!

  25. Lee says:

Yep you’re right Kel….love to serve them up on Sunday, trouble is we tend to bottle the big games. Actually and the small ones too…..

  26. scottfromoz says:

Lol Wath, well said champ Hahahahahahahahahaha
It’s bloody frustrating that Wenger is allowed to carry on as usual with no pressure from above.
It’s also frustrating to see Arsenal fans arguing over something we have no control over.

  27. Kel says:

Firstly Scott we have only spoken a few times I have never said you don’t see any wrong in wenger i absolutely never said that. So don’t let the truth get in the way of that tale.

I do remember a week or so before the transfer window tho when a lot of fans were getting nervous we hadn’t signed a player yet and venting a bit towards wenger. You were on that like a rash saying us fans should wait until Sept 1st to judge etc all they were doing mate was debating their frustrations.

  28. rico says:

    Exactly Wath.

Some of our players should be ashamed of themselves. Don’t they really need to be told how to defend, how to be disciplined, how to stay focussed?

Alexis sure doesn’t need telling so why should the others who are in the main experienced international players….

I blame a lot on AW and Kroenke but come match day, another 40% effort from many of our players would go a long way towards getting better performances and results..

And when will someone grow a pair and lead this side on the pitch…

  29. rico says:

Lee, I mean that too. I think we might see a response after Tuesday. If I was a player watching AW press conference this morning, I’d want blood on Sunday. Not literally of course… lol

  30. Kel says:

Rico.. I’ve no doubt I’d end up in the bin and rightly so…. but maybe you should apply that to everyone.

  31. potter says:

The problem at Arsenal runs much deeper than just ridding ourselves of Wenger. It is a mentality that starts at the top and permiates throughout the club. Wenger makes decisions but he works for an unambitious leadership. Rico is right to say that nothing much will change from a boardroom strategy even with a new person. All that might change is tactics on the field.

  32. Wath says:

When you see read and hear the presser from this morning it’s the arrogance of wenger that gets peoples backs up, the fact he thinks that the fans are not entitled to now his reasoning behind his team selection is egotistical beyond belief… He may not have to justify anything to the press but to state he can’t understand why the fans are frustrated sums him up…! We the fans pay his wages, he may not be accountable to his bosses but he is accountable to us… If the fans turn on him that’s when he will walk and with comments like today he hardly doing himself any favours getting the fans on his side is he.

Kel, rather than go on about whats been said before and who said this or that why don’t you just carry on with the here and now then maybe no one will end up in the bin with your comment is shit or your delusional or this or that…!

  33. Goonster says:

Get off my case wath you scoundrel ๐Ÿ˜€ hey Lee I love a kiss ass especially a lady’s if you know what I mean ๐Ÿ˜€

  34. Wath says:

Fortress my backside………… That show’s how easy it is for teams to come to us nullify us and nick the points and yet we do the same thing game after game after game…! When it’s an open game we are decent when it’s tight and tactical we are crap and predictable but we have been for yrs and yrs now.

  35. Joaquim Moreira says:

f we win (as I hope and predict) against MU on Saturday, the critical change.
    .
Reflecting: the issue is the overhead of games, failing to adapt to teams in other leagues and levels of motivation and physical to play against theoretically weaker teams.
Debuchy can leave in January (to play in the European Championship). Fllamini, Campbell (or before) and Arteta at the end of the season. Likely Ospina. Szesc (if not return) or is in Rome or I’m seeing it in Barcelona.
Without the money from the Champions this year and the probable absence for the year, going to have to sell players (for the players, the price is not high).

  36. Goonster says:

Scott question alright so what do we debate about then?? Bring up a topic we can all dive into right now that ll last the whole day. It’s frustrating seeing us the way we are. Arsene was great when he first came or the league was shit back then but lately hes gone stale. No one can question him. He has made 15000 substiions and 300 transfers I mean what the hell was that?? Who asked for all that junk? The fans fucking pay your salary so fucking shape up. Speaking of fans someone please grab adam for me. I miss that cunning smooth talking devil ๐Ÿ˜€ oi adam I miss you my man no homo ๐Ÿ˜€

  37. Wath says:

Stan now kissing Adams ass as it didn’t work with Rico……………

I was led to believe you called him more than a w@nker Lee…………

2 wins for the good guys Sunday and obviously that’s not the mancs nor the convicts…!

JM, money definitely not an issue regarding players or champions lge..!

  38. Kel says:

Again Scott I didn’t say that. but you couldn’t understand why some fans actually most fans were venting or moaning because no players had arrived when there was something like 10 or 13 days left of the Window. And I do remember you stating wenger deserves all that was coming to him when the window closed.

Will some of that has been arriving in the past few days and your bored of it, so am I fs but their wasn’t much else to talk about.

Anyhow all we seem to be debating now is each other lol…

Have a good day guys I’m off to work.

  39. rico says:

Yes Wath, that comment from his was stupid and does so very much show his true colours. It’s as if he doesn’t give a toss about about what the fans think and doesn’t care.

Perhaps he doesn’t although in previous interviews etc, he’s said he does care very much about the fans.

He was riled this morning, perhaps he didn’t listen to the actual question… ๐Ÿ˜‰

  40. scottfromoz says:

Stan, as I said earlier, it’s Arsenal FC, not Arsene FC.
Everyone who hates Wenger says that, yet all they talk about is the manager.
Sorry if I find that strange.
Lee, I was drunk at the time lol

  41. Kel says:

Wath I agree about the past lwys move on….but you have to understand that if Scott is referring to what some people previously said about him then it’s only natural to talk about what was previously said..

  42. Wath says:

He was indeed riled Rico, you could see he was very very tetchy yet it’s all his own fault. To plainly ignore the frustrations of the fans and to simply explain his thinking when the question wasn’t rude at all and was spot on because you bring in a new No1 keeper then don’t play him in such and important game yet we the fans don’t know what we doing as we not managed 1500 games of professional football bla bla bla………. We have so heard it all before but I think he is feeling the pressure big time, whether that is from his personal life thrown into the fact we are particularly average and very inconsistent at the moment I don’t know but also maybe just maybe someone upstairs has had a word and said sorry old chap just not good enough we expect more…!

Watch the AGM be a complete farce and no mention what so ever or attempt to answer very pertinent questions…!

  43. Gunnerdna says:

Good morning all, rico I think you are being harsh on saying fans ruining the blog with comments like AW out. The low post is a result of the limited poster on HH, check the names. I noticed since joining HH that if a new poster appear on the blog and say something that is not in line with others agenda, they are call out and eventually runs away by the abuse especially by SCOTT and now he is always the first one to be getting emotional and crying. Arsenal under AW is just a club that is happy to exist. Fans are tired of this soft pony approach. We are tired of talking about invincibles, big stadium, money in the bank and a reserve team who produce players for the championship. Don’t blame fans for Arsenal being boring blame AW. I think its not cool for you to be telling others what to type when you have on the top of the page where its ok to disagree. I’m not telling you how to run you blog, but I think its the same thing you blaming AW for at times you doing now for a very simple reason. imo

  44. Wath says:

Kel, Scott will have read what I said to you and will know it’s mean’t for him as well, I ain’t here to tell you all what to do or say or to move on, when something is written to one it’s aimed at everyone mate..! Easiest way..!

  45. Goonster says:

I ve said this before and I ll say it again. The players aren’t shit. You don’t go from bossing the midfield in the la Liga to shit over night. Theo is limited yes but so was Andy Cole Dwight yorke and even that turd faced cnut shearer but play to theo’s strength and see the results. No one crabby side ways football which is so boring to watch I sometimes wanna rip my eyes out. Theo in that chelshit poop or even totenham *spits * ll score a truckload. Our players arent shit. Ozil sanchez santi kozzer are not bad players. They are world beaters but has a wimp for a coach. END of.

  46. Goonster says:

Morning dna it’s raining again. Boy I haven’t seen the sun in weeks. The weather is just like arsenal currently nothing good to write about.

  47. Wath says:

Gdna, with everything that’s been said this morning you make a point and then call out on Scott…….. Really…? was that necessary…? If new posters come on here and talk crap they get booted and if they abusive they get booted if you don’t like that the the choice is always to post elsewhere, when ppl come on here and debate and argue is the right way you’ll find everyone is welcome including you who have already been binned for exactly what I said above and now you starting all over again…..!

Enough of the names, it ends now….!!!

  48. Goonster says:

Gee wath ll make a mean old praetorian guard. Jesus christ. Calm down son go grab a bottle of GG ๐Ÿ˜€ and leave dna alone. He’s my brother in crime ๐Ÿ˜€

  49. scottfromoz says:

DNA, sttating you hoped Wenger fell asleep and never woke up is a thousand times worse than anything I’ve ever said.
Can you deny you said it?
Can you show anything I’ve said that was nearly as bad?
Do as you normally do and change tack………
I won’t even go into your veiled threat of taking a gun to me.
    Class act, you are.

  50. rico says:

I still don’t understand why Cech didn’t start Wath, beggars belief really. And yes, he’s brought a lot on himself…

Someone upstairs had a word? How dare they… ๐Ÿ˜‰

  51. Goonster says:

Rixo dna got you there maam ๐Ÿ˜€ he’s actually right it’s your motto so why are you calling us out ๐Ÿ˜€ it’s ok to disagree huh??? Teehee ๐Ÿ˜€

  52. Wath says:

Quite honestly Stan I couldn’t give a rats………….. If you have a point them moan all you want but do not come on here and point out other people just because you have an opinion because thats all it is… Opinion…! Do you have hard facts to back up your opinion… NO…! So why am I write and your wrong…???? There is no right or wrong as you simply don’t know.

If Gdna wants to argue and debate feel free but his opinion is merely that and when he moans about “SCOTT” I am going to pull him on it as it’s bang out of order simple as that.

  53. scottfromoz says:

Stan, the players are good enough, no question.
    Is Wenger?
    Who knows?
I said it last night…id love to see Stan tell Wenger to put up or shut up.
    Win a title or else.
Give him one year and state publicly money is no issue…..I mean Stan say it, not one of his muppets on the board.
Leave us all under no illusion as to where Wenger stands.
I know it won’t happen, but it would be good to see.

  54. Wath says:

Who is saying the football we play isn’t boring Gdna…? if you actually read what people say most agree our football is boring and slow and predictable and only when teams allow us space are we decent….. So what exactly is your point…?

  55. Goonster says:

Lol wath that was directed to rico not you amigo. Gee don’t get your knickers in a twist ๐Ÿ˜€ adaaaaaam!!!!!!

  56. Wath says:

You want Stan the Krunk to say something Scott………… He’ll say welcome to the AGM then he will sit down and let his puppets speak for him….! then they will avoid any questions that are uncomfortable to answer then they will close the AGM and all go have a few nice cigars and cognac…!

  57. rico says:

Gdna, I said ‘Wenger out’ each day is boring.

And it is and those words will be binned each and every day, and if you don’t like it, well you have choices….

  58. Goonster says:

Scott my qualms is not the personal or new players. We re fucking predictable mate. I mean Zagreb olympiacos??? Seriously? ? Everyone and their mama can set up against us and thwart us. We re toothless. Players shmayers we need to find a new way of playing. Our first 11 ll give any team a game in europe. Just tweak it a little bit and watch that same team smash the cnut from west london. Scotty oz the players kroenke are not to blame. Wenger is. Period.

  59. scottfromoz says:

Wath, I know it won’t happen…..that’s the start of the clubs problems for mine.
    DNA, a response???
    A denial??
Lol is all I have for you.
Next time you call me out remember this……I’ll raise your disgraceful comments every single time, and everyone here knows you made them, so play the ball and not the man, if you’re capable.
Do that and there will be no problems between us.

  60. Goonster says:

Rico that was harsh please don’t tell posters to go else where. We re a family. HH is a family blog. It’s almost like tell me to go support a different team. I felt really bad last night after you posted a link to a dortmund blog on here. Things like that makes me feel like am not welcomed here and I was among the founding member of this blog. I ve been here longer than most. I was among the first 10 bloggers here. I fet hurt. I really did last night.

  61. rico says:

Goonster. Opinion is fine and that’s what goes on here. Tootless ‘Wenger out’ comments are boring and like it or not, that’s my opinion and as said earlier, they will be binned..

Talk about what’s wrong or right but lumping everything into 9 empty words alone is really really boring….

  62. Wath says:

Gdna, Be as honest as you want mate that I don’t care about and if thats what you think and feel then write about it BUT do not bring up someone else on here and name them purely because you don’t agree with them….! Not difficult is it…?

If you think you’re right then back it up and tell us all why you are so right and here’s why…!

You being honest doesn’t detract from the fact you’re saying something that no one else argues with…? we’re boring…. Yes and as I said whats your point…? is everyone else here saying we’re the most attractive side on the planet at the moment… No they not…! So where is it relevant..? It isn’t whats more relevant is winning Sunday and what is our manager going to do about it… Has the board or the owner said they are not happy with results… My opinion is they won’t say a word because they he keeps them in the pound seats and they are the biggest reason he there and thats due to them being scared of change. Wenger in my mind is finished has been for a while but your sole thought process is it’s just him and I don’t agree at all, he is one part of whats wrong the rest is the board and the owner.

  63. Gunnerdna says:

Rico, calm down lady, its just love and respect madam. I honestly think you are overreacting which is unlike you. My first impression of you was a lady who is always calm and composed, don’t get drag in that petty stuff.

  64. tsgh says:

    Top top read Rico.

Potter- you succinctly summed it up at 11:32 Sir.

Wow AW went for it- โ€œBut if you have watched the game and you come down the conclusion that we lost the game because of Ospina, I question your knowledge of football.โ€

  65. Wath says:

Scott, enough of the gdan stuff please I aint telling him to wind his neck in and then you keep it going as well…!

If either of you carry on your both in the bin…!

  66. rico says:

Scott, mine too. It’s starts at the top imo….

Goonster, I didn’t, I just said people have a choice. And there was me thinking I was helping you Dortmund lovers to find a blog where you could all chat German football together….

  67. Goonster says:

Wath yes when we insult or ridicule fellow posters we can go in the bin but please don’t suguest we go else where. We feel comfortable here and we ve been here long enough. So can we please stop that “go elsewhere thingy”. It’s really making me upset.

  68. Goonster says:

Fair enough I got it all wrong but please can we all get along you re upsetting brianna ๐Ÿ˜€ poor baby.

  69. Wath says:

Stan, if someone continues with not listening to don’t pull up other posters continuously and telling Rico how to run “HER” blog then they have a choice to go elsewhere it’s really simple. We not here to act like teachers and tell off the naughty children it’s fucking tedious…! So when you says it’s upsetting look at it from the other side as well and wonder how it is for us to keep having to read ppl moaning at each other…!

  70. scottfromoz says:

Stan, I wrote a post earlier but my IPad shut down….all wiped out lol.
Anyway, it basically said I reckon Wenger was never a good tactical manager.
He was ahead of his time in other ways, and put together a squad that was ahead of its time.
Now, all clubs have nutrition, training and scouting down pat, so Arsene has lost his advantages.
He’s still a great overall manager, IMO, but stale…..yep, I can love with that assessment.
That’s why I’d love to see Stan say there’s 100 million, use it and win the League or else.
    Shaddup Wath, I know it’ll never happen ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

  71. Wath says:

An open room Lee…………. free for all…! lol

GG has great initials…! Oh and was he a boring fucker………. Who said bring him back to coach the defence and let AW do the forwards…? bloody good idea i reckon……….!

  72. Goonster says:

Wath telling fellow posters to go elsewhere is offensive too Mon fre. It’s tantamount to saying go support the spuds and I think it should stop!

  73. tsgh says:

Has the club become boring or unambitious as the media has led sections of fans to believe?

If football drives folks to become something other than themselves then they are lying to themselves imho…

True story- a respectable woman I use to work with husband kicked her in her tummy when she was pregnant after the BCFC win over us in the Carling cup; and he tried to blame Aw for his behavior…; the 50′ laughed at him in his face as the police man was a gooner too

We all get upset. I also strongly believe that even the ยฃ8m man gets upset when we lose…

If those who spent about ยฃ5k a year following Arsenal are not making obscene threats, then armchair fans like myself can afford to be a bit more tolerable. imho

  74. Goonster says:

Dna just hang in there buddy. You won’t be binned if you lay off the name calling. Just keep it civil.

  75. rico says:

Ts, but he was right, we didn’t lose that game because of Ospina’s gaff alone…. But at least we’d have drawn… ๐Ÿ˜‰

  76. Wath says:

Stan stop being a wet pantie………… If you put on your glasses and read properly I have said you are free to post elsewhere I have not “as yes” told anyone to go and post somewhere else…!

  77. Goonster says:

Ts give it a rest am young but I remember milwall vs west ham fans having a go at each other. I ve seen footages of Brazilian fans fighting in the stands. Football is an emotional game am not condoning what that twat did but to say wenger gets upset is an overstatement. He doesn’t give a fuck about us the fans. His 15000 susbtitions and 300 transfers sums him up. Morning btw.

  78. Gunnerdna says:

Goon, I think you don’t understand who this DNA dude is, I’m not tripping bro I’m great. I told you before, 1 day come and hang with young bosses and you will know what’s up. I’m good bro.

  79. rico says:

Tell you what Gdna, you and Scott have a cyber handshake, quit the boring Wenger out stuff and then you might just survive here…

Oh, and quit telling me how to run HH, otherwise you won’t last much longer here…

  80. Wath says:

Ts, nothing wrong with a good Cognac mate…. I love the stuff…..!

The Ospina thing is part of a reason and a cause as to why we lost Tuesday he isn’t the sole reason at all so in that context Arsene is right BUT his attitude to expanding his reasoning to not playing Cech is indefensible and stinks of ego and stubbornness and maybe just maybe pressure…!

  81. Goonster says:

That’s the spirit dna ๐Ÿ˜€ we mm probably go to Daytona I hear there’s a lot of Spanish beauties on them beaches ๐Ÿ˜€

  82. scottfromoz says:

Simple, DNA, don’t call me out and there is no issue.
    Done deal?
Stan, relax…..nobody told anyone to post elsewhere.
Take it in its correct context bud.
We are all free to do as we please ๐Ÿ™‚

  83. Wath says:

Scott, I didn’t feel sorry for Ospina he was crap and made mistakes BUT he wasn’t the sole reason we lost Tuesday evening that’s for sure.

  84. tsgh says:

Goonie did you see how De Rossi, and Nainggolan shackled Busquet, Rakitic and Iniesta the other night. That is possession football. Barca vs Celtic is a typical example.
It use to be the same wth Ajax vs Vitesse, NAC etc in the eredivisie in the early noughties…

I know you watch a lot of continent football so I am surprised when you moan about how boring we have become.

In my opinion its just a simple case of us not having the 1% player who can make the different in the tight games.
Take out Messi or Lewandowski from Barca and FC Munchen and you have an Arsenal team…

  85. Goonster says:

Lol scott I hear ya ๐Ÿ˜€ wath was ready to boil my ass in hot oil a few mnths ago and you tell me to relax?? No chance ๐Ÿ˜€

  86. Gunnerdna says:

Goon, i will check the dates and times of Charlotte Hornets game when they play my team, and see if i could come and hit you up. You need to enjoy America, we are all bosses. Latinas, commas and Liquor. lol

  87. Goonster says:

Ts my problem is we ve become too predictable come on my man. Did you read what the olympiacos Captain said afterwards? ? Anyone can beat us lately. Take out lewa from Munich and they are ordinary? ? Are you having a laugh ts?? Hahahahahah good one.

  88. scottfromoz says:

Wath, some positions need regular game time for players to be at their best, and I reckon keeper is one of them.
Still, fancy conceding three goals……terrible stuff from the entire side.

  89. Goonster says:

Heheheheheh you mean your perennial losers the Knicks dna??? You guys suck balls ๐Ÿ˜€ I dont watch American sports. It’s fucking boring. Lol but if am to choose a team to support its got to be the bulls. Cause of Jordan ๐Ÿ˜€

  90. tsgh says:

    And who plays good football?

have you seen Ath Madrid recently?Simeone has become predictable too.. Koke’s runs are being nullified.

Gabi (MA08) is almost a pensioner; its not the same anymore…

  91. tsgh says:

Villareal and Celta vigo are about one time fans fave Ath Madrisd.

AW may be ‘shite’ but no one else has been able to consistently do what he does without spending the equivalent of the GDP of Namibia on players.

  92. rico says:

Hi Mg, well this one won’t be… lol

Costa left out of Spain squad because Del Bosque (spelling) didn’t like what he did during our match… Serves him right…

  93. tsgh says:

Scott- if I knew I would be writing a book. ๐Ÿ™‚

From rumours loads of back room stuff/scouts have been cut..

Somethings is going on at the club; strategically it is completely wrong. Loads of brain boxes without the personal/common touch which really messes up our transfer dealings.

  94. Goonster says:

So I guess you re telling me to go post elsewhere rico? Is that what you re insinuating??? Really? Has it come down to this??

  95. Goonster says:

Ts all am saying is we need a new set up. The current one is not working. We have lost 4 games already this season!!! For a totenham that’s acceptable but not the arsenal!!! Am sorry but it’s unacceptable.

  96. Goonster says:

Scott don’t start please ๐Ÿ˜€ lewa ll be pants after one season under our current set up and you know it.

  97. scottfromoz says:

Ginge, so much of what we all say, our opinions and theories are just so aligned it’s not funny.
The biggest question, and the thing that creates nearly all the drama is “who is to blame?”
Arsenal is more secretive than the CIA lol.

  98. Wath says:

I still say we missing 2/3 more grafters in the side that not into doing the pretty football but who happy to do the dirty work and get stuck in. Back to the fact we have to many players who are to similar and not a few more players who give us different options.

  99. tsgh says:

    Greed Wath..

A couple of Romford pele’s and Grimandi’s will do us a world of good.

Players who can think on their feet and shut up shop if needed

  100. Wath says:

Spot on Ts, Gilly took a lot of stick but the bloke did what was necessary and always got stuck in that’s for sure and as for 2 Romfords in this side it would make a huge difference AND there would be no slouching from others they’d be told to pull their finger out…!

  101. potter says:

We have plenty of speed in the team generally in wider areas. What’s missing is speed moving the ball through the middle. If the central midfield was encouraged to find the forwards quicker we would find Theo Sanchez and the Ox a lot more potent.

  102. Wavy says:

    Of Costa and his unpicking!

Live by the talons, die by the talons (metaphorically).

Well done Del Bosque, a man of honour!

I wonder if Costa will reapply for his Brazilian citizenship, so he can play for the country of his birth, again.

    Nasty, nasty piece of work.

  103. Goonster says:

Potter the goal theo scored against stoke city is a classic example of how low we have fallen. Stoke had the ball in our half bearing in on goal a crunchy tackle by lecoq and the ball rolled over go ozil who took one touch and lobbed it over the top to walcot to finish. We haven’t scored a goal like that in eons. That’s what am driving at. Play to theo’s strength and he ll deliver the 30 goals a season we so badly need. Tiki taka works in Spain and Italy heck even all of continental europe but it won’t work in England. We have borne the brunt of nasty injuries while trying to play passes rather than move the ball quicker. Eduardo rambo and my diaby are perfect examples.

  104. Wath says:

I think Lewandowski won’t help matter that much it’s a change in mentality that’s needed as much as anything and agree with potter, build up play is slow but thats also when we closed down and teams sit deep we revert back to tippy tappy sideways as we have no idea on how to break them down, lack of proper wingers doesn’t help and also the non rampaging central midfielders to truly grab the game by the scruff of the neck.

  105. Joaquim Moreira says:

    a new DM… of course!
Have you watched last game, haven’t you?
    What you think about Fortounis?
Probably not very expensive and very efficient.

  106. scottfromoz says:

A truly world class striker can make things happen though.
Giroud can’t, and nor can Theo.
lewandowski, Suarez, Aguero…..they’re guys that can win a game almost singlehanded.

  107. Wath says:

They still need the right service Scott and they need players that are on the same level as them….

JM, Fortounis, very efficient no frills kind of player and was every bit as good as Coq…. the sort of player who would definitely improve us, a grafter and a work horse who also was decent on the ball.

  108. allezkev says:

Of course, the Press and SKY are going to ask questions that are beneficial to Arsenal.

    I mean, don’t they always?!

Ferguson used to ban reporters and was a bully in his Pressers, and everyone thought it was great…

Mourinho walks out of his Pressers and they all go ‘Good old Jose’…

Why don’t the SKY ask Wenger about Mike Dean???

Maybe it doesn’t suit their agenda eh?

One thing is for sure, I’ll never side with the Press when they’re attacking my club…

  109. Goonster says:

Lol young adam??? I turned 29 on the 22nd of September I ll have you know. Am old adam. Lol atleast my niece thinks so.

  110. Goonster says:

I feel you adam. I knew that’s why you went off for a while and I totally understand your plight. Paying a that huge sum of money just to witness a show of shame. I don’t know how you do it. I ll have given up a long time ago.

  111. Goonster says:

Yeah we re done alright. She’s just a sweetheart. Gave me a half eaten cookie for my birthday ๐Ÿ˜€ little she devil lol

  112. Adam says:

Stan, I have walked home through Highbury Fields early in the new year and realised that we were out of everything. In those days there was no Europe or Coca Cola cups though.
I have seen much, much harder times. As have quite a few here.

  113. Goonster says:

But that was in the old days adam. We re shite back then. We had poor players. We were also skint. Now we have ozil sanchez santi kozzer rambo ffs. Those players aren’t shite. Those same players went to Bavaria and got a result. So why can’t they do it on a regular basis.

  114. Adam says:

Stan. We were always the ‘Bank Of England’ club. Wenger really turned the place round and in the early days he kicked the club forward. The Emirates represents what football is all about nowadays. For good or bad.

  115. Goonster says:

I know adam and am thankful but right now he’s not doing his lagacy any good. He’s lost the respect of the gooner faithfuls. I thought after the fa cup he has turned a corner when we signed sanchez but alas he’s still as stubborn as ever.

  116. Adam says:

I agree Stan. I think we all thought that would happen and I will never know why he didn’t. We all have our ideas about what’s happening at the club.

  117. rico says:

    Afternoon all, Adam..

Kev has written a great post about our history which I fully intended to post this morning. However, AW’s press conference kind of changed my mind…

  118. Goonster says:

Lol rico what’s it all about? I can’t wait till next week ๐Ÿ˜€ be a pal and give me a hint.

  119. rico says:

AW could make one major addition to the club. And that would be offering Gary Neville a vast amount of money to join the staff. And then listen to him…

I think his comments about naivety etc were out of frustration because he knows, like most of us do, this group of players could achieve so much more…

Shame he didn’t realise it should be Sunday morning is the day they need to wake up and know what to do… Lol

  120. Wavy says:

Sad to say I can’t see St Arsene going to all that trouble. He has always said he concentrates only on how his team is going to play! That doesn’t include the strengths or weaknesses of the opposition. Some people call Neville’s considerations known as ‘tactics’ not something Wenger is strong on. Gary the pundit has called it just right, his identification of manures strengths and weaknesses are the details that do win big games but neither Wenger nor Bould will say a word about the opposition only how the Arsenal are going to win, by keeping possession, passing sideways or backwards to maintain possession, not kicking the ball over the top, no running at the opposition if you think you’re going to lose the ball and only shoot if you have a clear sight of the goal! And don’t shoot shoot unless in the penalty or better still the goal area!

  121. scottfromoz says:

    Morning all.
I wonder if, as someone pointed out recently, our players are under the same, minor amount of pressure that Wenger seemingly is.
I’ve said for a while that attitude flows from the top and that’s why I hold Stan more accountable than most do, but I’ve never really considered the obvious-if it flows down to Wenger, logic dictates that then affects the players.
People either thrive or wither under pressure, but with little or no pressure, they just exist, and it’s almost as if our players do that.
Well, some of them, at least.

  122. rico says:

But at times we’ve been pragmatic Wavy…

I still believe the players need a rocket up their backsides…. They can do much better…

  123. Goonster says:

Stumble upon this on youtube. Wow so there was a time we smash those cnuts 5.0 at shite hart lane ๐Ÿ˜€ jesus christ anyone at this game??? Kev wath lee?? My God I ll kill to be there on that day. The atmosphere was electric ๐Ÿ˜€ lucky bastards

  124. potter says:

Hell of a way to set up Christmas , jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way.
Oh what fun it is to see Arsenal win away.

  125. Goonster says:

Seriously why is Brady not on our top 10 greatest players?? He deserves to be. He’s arsenal through and through. Plus he’s actually skillful too. What a player.

  126. Goonster says:

Micko we need a few Irish players mate back in the day most of our best players were irish. Brady o leary et al. My God am blown away by theur techniques. That goal by Brady was a peach. Wow

  127. Marshall says:

The post is about Wenger, typically it would make me lay out my sentiments towards the honorable Monsieur.. Unfortunately it will be deemed tedius and boring.

I think this blog was created so we can cheer the victories, debate and mourn the loses and talk about our beloved arsenal. A.t.m I dont feel there’s anything beloved about it that’s why lots of people are singing for change and I don’t think its right being told to shut up about it. Venting is therapeutic, let a fellow goober vent, long as he/she isn’t crossing the lines what’s the problem?

About our next visitors at the emirates I feel it will be a tough one. All our opponents know if they defend right and hit on the run they might get results- cause again we don’t like to defend.

What’s the vibe going on about that Martial kid? I think he’s good, I think he’ll be trouble. Merts won’t like him.

  128. Wath says:

Stan, I wasn’t at the 5-0 game I was a little young but there were some cracking games in the 80’s and the atmosphere down there was always brilliant, we always had a good turn out down there and the noise was always top notch. Nothing for me touches the littlewoods cup semi finals in 87 although there were a couple of crackers in 85 and 86 in the league but all through the 80’s the games were tight and not much between the sides apart from when they thumped us 5-0 in 83…!

  129. Wath says:

The 4-2 cup game was also lively think that was 83/84 when Charlie scored two and Meade…? Kev, was that 83 or 84 or am I loosing the plot..? wasn’t later than that cos Don Howe was in charge when we won 4-2 in the cup game and Meade scored with Charlie.

  130. Micko says:

Stan, not sure Irish players are the way forward these days, did you hear about Paddy and Seamus travelling over to London to donate sperm, Paddy missed the tube and Seamus came on the bus !

Nite Gooners……Wath, you lost the plot a long time ago you ole git !

  131. scottfromoz says:

Marshall, that’s all fine, but why should those who defend Wenger cop insults and abuse?
    It goes two ways champ.
Brady was one hell of a footballer….a genius.
5-0……we didn’t even have electricity in Oz back then, let alone televisions ๐Ÿ™‚

  132. Goonster says:

Wath I think I found the game you were talking about. It’s a cracker you re right. Wow but hold one guys I thought folks called us boring boring arsenal back then?? Well there was nothing boring about that game. We were even more mobile and technical back then than lately. Hey wath who was the no 10? My God he looked good ๐Ÿ˜€ oh arsenal we love you ๐Ÿ˜€

  133. Goonster says:

He reminds me of Platini ๐Ÿ˜€ he’s the kinda player that transcends time. He could play with this current generation and rip it. I love Brady from the old days but this duse just stole my heart ๐Ÿ˜€

  134. Goonster says:

Tony woodcock ๐Ÿ˜€ what’s his deal wath? How come I ve never heard of him?? My word. There’s something zizouesque about him ๐Ÿ˜€ I think I just found my second greatest arsenal player of all time. DB10 is the greatest by a long shot ๐Ÿ˜€

  135. Goonster says:

My word we look good ๐Ÿ˜€ I ve got tears in my eyes. Charlie Nicholas too looks a handful. I think I missed the best years in arsenal history. So sad.

  136. Goonster says:

Seriously guys I need dvds of the old days. These guys just renewed my love for the arsenal again. Am in love all over again :D. Am willing to pay guys if anyone can hook me up with old videos. Full matches that is. Thanks.

  137. Goonster says:

Highbury library they said but that looked anything but a library. The north bank and clock end was rocking. Am beginning to think that all we ve been told are lies. Too many contradictions. We play boring footie they said and we are a quiet bunch at home yet highbury was rocking all game. Fuck all haters the mighty arsenal ll rise again and one more thing FUCK OFF YOU SPURS ๐Ÿ˜€

  138. Goonster says:

What I just witnessed was football of the highest quality. We had grit flair and boy are those guys good on the ball. Woodcock and Nicholas ll get into any current epl side at their peak. What a team ๐Ÿ˜€

  139. Goonster says:

You could see what it meant to them. The passion on their faces says it all. The pride of the shirt. My God what I ll give to have a time machine.

  140. potter says:

It was a different time with a totally different atmosphere .Half 12 to the Plimsoll a couple of pints, a few songs on the podium off to the ground ,a horseburger and onto the North Bank meet the regulars and watch the football. After the match walk back to Hampstead a few stops on the way. A few on the high street a late curry , bed and up the next morning for Sunday football.
Oh to be a gooner in his late teens again.
