Santi Cazorla signs for FBB. Arsenal sign midfielder beating PL sides to his signature….

Morning all.

No doubt you all know that Santi Cazorla is a patron of the London-based youth charity Football Beyond Borders (FBB). He agreed to support FBB, which delivers a combination of football training sessions and education programmes to support young people in some of London’s most deprived estates and schools.

To celebrate Cazorla joining FBB as a patron, the charity will hosted a fundraising dinner with our little midfielder and fellow patron Guillem Balague on the 9th April at the Cafe Football restaurant in London and thanks to Football Fancast, here’s a snippet of that very night.

In it’s five year history, the charity has worked in 12 countries and delivered projects which have used football to bring hundreds of people from more than 30 nationalities together.

Guillem Balague spoke about his fellow Spaniard joining FBB:

I am delighted that Santi has agreed to join the team. His journey towards football stardom is an inspiration to our young people and a clear example of the merits of hard work and commitment. He is already looking forward to getting involved in the charity’s hugely worthwhile projects.

Always good to see footballers doing something worthwhile away from the game, especially ours…

Squad news ahead of Sunday from the manager:

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mathieu Debuchy and Mikel Arteta are not ready. Danny Welbeck has a little possibility to be fit. Aaron Ramsey is not in training yet but he should be better tomorrow. I don’t think we have any big injuries, maybe Welbeck will be available but at the moment he looks short.

Fingers crossed for Ramsey but all doesn’t seem quite so good for Welbeck, unless Arsene Wenger is being cagey, after all, he did score that important winner at the old toilet in the FA Cup….

As for the others, the manager says he’s unsure when they’ll be back, if at all this season.

Todays gossip:

  • Arsenal are among the clubs monitoring Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
  • However they are also considering a £13 million move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Bernd Leno.
  • Arsenal attacker Tomas Rosicky wants to leave the club on a free transfer this summer, despite holding talks over a new 12-month contract.
  • Arsenal have signed an 11-year-old – The Gunners have picked up Luton’s Charlie Patino, who had also been offered deals by Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City.

I can see the Tomas Rosicky story being true. He’s fit but not being played and he’s not even getting on from the bench which must be frustrating. At his age, he’ll want to be playing as much football as he can and although it would be sad to see him go, that’s football. Who leaves this summer is irrelevant, it’s who comes in which is more important..

Have a good Friday guys…

Well I ve not seen many leverkusen games this season so can’t really give a detailed assessment on him. He’s a good keeper with huge potential. He’s 23 and a shot stopper. He claims well too when coming out for crosses. Is he what we need now??? I don’t think so. A cech lloris or begovic imho.

Rico welbeck being out is a huge blow but I won’t worry much about him. Giroud is due a big game. He should have a stormer against them thus weekend. I really fancy us. That defeat against Swansea has set them straight. Manure ll come at us with everything they ve got to get a goal the first 20 minutes if we don’t concede then we ll beat them.

Begovic has had a Topsy turvy season. He’s still a good goal keeper. Better than what we currently have. I ll take him off stoke.

He’s hasn’t really been playing on the wings maam have he?? Even when he was fit wenger still stuck with rambo. We didn’t really play that bad against the swans. He just conspired to make Fabianski look world class. All the shots on target were direct at him. That game bear a semblance to the yanited game at home. We could have smashed those cnuts at the emirates but somehow made de gea look like a brick wall. So many times we picked them off only for the final ball to hit him on the chest. It’s really annoying when a professional footballer can’t beat a keeper from 6 yards.

Rico the first half was dire but we did turn up after the hour and played some wonderful stuff. I ll repeat had alexis left the creative work to ozil and rambo we could have won the match easy. He needs not to get on the ball rhat often.

I don’t care about swans vs shitty maam. Second is beyond us now. Let’s focus on finishing above the manscum. Set up not to lose. Play for a win but keep it tight at the back. We should get something out of it. A draw ll keep a 2 points gap between us a win 5.

I think the lads know they let the fans down. They ll be up for this. Win this and we definitely have finished above them. We can rest easy while we prepare for villa.

Lol alright maam but I doubt shitty ll relinquish their hold on that second position. Plus I don’t think they ll lose to Swansea. Aguero don’t shot directly at a keeper. He picks his spot and hammers it in. What a player. Still don’t understand why he didn’t make the pl team of the season.

I really hope we ll get a dm. Everyone ll strengthen thus summer even the scummers. Arsene needs to quit playing games with us and get me kondogbia or Morgan(kondogbia preferably )we can’t afford to be left behind early in the season again. That’s what cost us this year’s title. We need to be in the mix from the kick off. We have a good squad just a few additions and we ll smash it. A keeper and a dm. I ll take a striker if theo and poldi leaves. Come on arsene pull out your finger.
