Morning all.

Subtle as a brick!

It is true that I would be a bit disappointed to stay in Toulouse after a season like this one. I want to try something else.

I have never prioritised a club in England as even the promoted clubs are respectable, so I would take the opportunity for the one that will show the most interest in me, that will give me the most game time.

After that, you can’t really say no to Arsenal.

It is a club with history, with a French manager, who has welcomed many France players. Plus, Arsenal are always thereabouts when it comes to trophies and a club that plays in the Champions League.

We see so many who talk the big talk about Arsenal, so many who suggest that we as a club want to sign them, yet seldom does that player ever end up gracing the turf at The Emirates. In fact, I’d say none do.

Aurier’s comments are different. He obviously wants a move away from his current club, he clearly wants a move to England, in fact, I’d say he really wants a move to Arsenal. Could he make it any clearer? I don’t think so. Not sure telling the world he wants to leave the club he’s at right now is the best way to go about things though…..

This story has gathered pace over the weeks and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if a deal has been agreed between the two clubs.

I know, I know, I’m always wrong……..

Sir Chips has been talking about Arsene Wenger:

I hope he will continue and there will be successes to come in the very near future. We have added one trophy, and we want more.

Anybody who does a job like that, for as long as he has, deserves every success that comes his way. He did it and I have never seen a man more delighted.

Our manager hasn’t had too much to smile about over the years and at times, especially after a hefty defeat, he’s looked like a man with the world on his shoulders. But finally on Saturday he looked like ten years had been taken off his life as he smiled and got soaked in Champagne.

What Arsene Wenger has achieved by spending so little money will always be admired by some, many in fact but this if football, not an investment business and if Arsene Wenger and the board/owner want more success, they need to dig deep and pay for it.

I’m not suggesting for one minute that we throw money at other clubs for the sake of it, just sign who we need and make sure they are good, darn good!

Then Arsene Wenger might just enjoy the kind of success Sir Chips believes he deserves…..

Finally, well done to youngΒ Tafari Moore who last night helped England Under 17’s beat Holland to win theΒ European Championship in Malta.Β

Gossip:

L’Equipe report that Bacary Sagna has signed a deal with Manchester City and The Sun report that we are set to off Cardiff Β£6 million for their goalkeeper David Marshall…..

That’s it for today, have a good one…..
