Well he will for one game in the Champions League next season .ย  ๐Ÿ˜›

So UEFA dished out a one match ban last night to both Samir Nasri and Arsene Wenger which will take effect in next seasons Champions League should we qualify.

Personally I believe the winner here is football, well, more like a bit of honesty in football. I am sure both Nasri and Wenger made their feelings about the van Persie sending off quite clear to the idiot Swiss ref on the night of the Barca game and Iโ€™m sure all that was said would not have been polite so UEFA had to โ€˜be seenโ€™ to punish them. But, by only giving them a one match ban tells me that every man/woman on the disciplinary panel watched that game and agreed with Wenger, Nasri and everyone else, the ref naffed it up on the night.

Ok, weโ€™ll miss Nasri but Wenger, Iโ€™m sure we will get by for one game…. I suggested yesterday that in all honesty, this will affect us about as much as a 10k fine would affect Man City..

Talking of Man City โ€“ sad to see them crash out of Europe last night, Iโ€™m sure I felt a tear in my eye, and then this morning I read that the Dippers crashed out too…… Sad night for English football eh ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mad Jens has breezed in and woken Almunia up by telling him he wants the number one shirt, smart move Jens. I think he has little chance of getting it but if Almunia thought he was in for an easy ride over the next ten games, heโ€™s wrong.
Remember when it was reported that Almunia had said this:

To have someone here who hates me is just amazing. I know he hates me.

Well, heโ€™s here again Almunia and he wantโ€™s your job.

We have all seen the devastation in Japan which seem relentless โ€“ we were due to tour Japan in the summer but Wenger has suggested that this tour may not now go ahead:

It can affect our plans to go there. We were supposed to go to Japan, but I am personally not sure that will happen now.
We don’t know what we will do, we might go to a different country or we might even go to Japan for a charity game, we don’t know yet.

They have put the whole championship on old. The immensity of the disaster will be will so big that, knowing Japan, the whole country will be focused to get that right again and put money into that and rebuild.

I hope we get to Japan……..

Thatโ€™s it for today, not a lot in the news Iโ€™m afraid…..
