First up on this not so sunny Saturday is Mad Jens, he’s rumoured to be heading back to London havingΒ  been offered a temporary coaching role with us, it’s all part of his plan to become a manager in the Barclays Premier League. Regardless of which role he takes up, he’ll be a good person to have around the training field won’t he?

Wenger hasn’t commented on this yet but one thing he has spoken about is Podolski. He says that a deal has not yet been reached but when pressed on the story he said: β€œin the next two or three weeks anything is possible”.

Well that suggests to me that there really is more to this story than just a newspaper headline and very soon we will know for sure.

Wenger also spoke about Manchester City and their pursuit of our captain and he’s made it pretty clear that should Robin decide not to sign a new contract, there is no way our club would sell him to the rich kids in Manchester!

One player who is on the move is Alex Chamberlain, not far though. πŸ˜‰

After such a gutsy and impressive display in midfield on Tuesday against Milan, Arsene Wenger has revealed that Chamberlains future is destined to be in the centre of midfield, albeit not just yet..

I don’t think he is ready to play in this role personally but he will certainly develop into it in the future.

He will play there again but I think he has to play where he is needed basically. The most important thing at the moment is that he develops well.

He had a good game but he still has many things to add to his game. That is the purpose now for his work, especially the fitness, the physical intensity to add to his game. That will certainly come if he works hard.

One thing we all know for sure, Chamberlain will work hard, he’s level headed, passionate about football and always works his socks off when he’s selected. In fact at times he has shown fellow professionals in our side a thing or two. Compare his commitment and desire to that shown this season by Chamakh and Arshavin to name just two!

Chamberlain always looks for the ball, he wants the ball and always wants to the right thing when he gets it, whether that is a shot on goal or the perfect pass, he gives his all. He never shies away, never lets his head go down and even at such a young age, he’s already a true professional.

Yes he can still learn, any player always can and even Robin van Persie has said that there is still many things to his game that can be improved on, one thing for sure, Chamberlain will never give up trying to improve.

No football for us Gooners this weekend, we have to wait until Monday for our tough fixture against Newcastle but a few clubs could do us a favour today.

Stoke travel to Stamford Bridge to face Romans unhappy campers and Everton host that team who at the moment, occupy third place.

Arsene is obviously pleading with Everton to do us a favour, in a nice kind of way of course and he’s praising David Moyes for all his hard work at the club he’s now been with for ten years.

My compliments, he has done a massive job there. For knowing how much effort you put in on a daily basis, when a guy lasts 10 years somewhere you have to give him credit.

We suffer a lot and he has put a lot of effort and dedication in. Our job is a real sacrifice of your life, so when a guy makes that at a club for 10 years and gets the results that Moyes has made, he deserves a huge credit.

One more big result David, and we Gooners will be your friend for life a day……

That’s it for the day, have a good one…
