Just a bit of fun to try and brighten a few Gooners Day – You know the old saying, If Mohammed won’t go to the mountains, then the mountains must go to Mohammed….

It’s simple really – get rid of the Elvis Presley and bring on Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballé. 🙂

In all honesty, The Wonder of You is hardly the most heart pumping song is it??  It needs changing, as do a few other things at the club but hopefully the summer will rectify the latter!

Talking of which,

Wojciech Szczesny is already looking to next season having been left very unhappy after this one ends the way it’s going to:

This is one of the biggest clubs in the world and we should be winning trophies every year. So I totally understand the frustration of the fans, and we apologise for our lack of trophies this season.

Personally, I am not really happy with our season because we didn’t win anything.

But I think we will have much more desire next season as we know how close we were to winning the Carling Cup and Premier League.

That gives us more motivation and desire to go for it next year, and obviously we will be one year more experienced.

Robin van Persie, one of our best players this season and there weren’t many has spoken out too:

There were lots of things which went wrong – we were not consistent enough. It is difficult to talk about it now. It is going to be difficult to finish third, but we still have one game and have to win that to at least give us a chance.

Next season we have to try to come back stronger. Everyone starts from scratch and we have a chance, it is up to us to prove it.

So the players are also pretty cheesed off with the way things have gone. RvP is well-respected by Arsene Wenger, if Cesc leaves he is likely to be our captain next season too. Arsene Wenger needs to listen to him and take on board what he says.

Our Captain has also had something to say, he has made a special mention to the fans:

I want to thank the fans, whether they follow us at home, away or both.

Away from home, we often feel as if we are playing in our own stadium; so many people travel all over Europe with us despite having families, jobs and other commitments, and their dedication is remarkable. What they do is wonderful and we appreciate it a lot.

Our home fans have constantly amazed me too – I think of the sensational atmosphere they created against Chelsea, and then against Barcelona. The match against Everton also stays in my mind – we were 1-0 down but they pushed us so hard to help us turn it into a win.

We understand how much the fans have suffered through our not winning trophies for a few years, but we will make sure this changes!

Thomas Vermalen has also had his say ‘ Our Mentality has to change’

Spot on, but will it?

That’s it for today, have a good one….
