Wednesday night showed that Theo Walcott can be at his best when he doesn’t have so much time to think. His control and finish was sheer class and well done to him too – the game needed something and he gave it that night.

When he sits on the wing and gets surrounded by defenders he struggles, so why put him in that position?

Walcott started this season on fire then injury did what it always does to him and that’s knock him back. He didn’t walk straight back into the side once he’d recovered and hasn’t really got himself back into Wengers thoughts, well, so it seems.

Does Wednesday’s goal show he deserves a start against the Mancs on Monday? He’s certainly up for this game, big time.
The Mancs haven’t lost a game yet this season, goodness knows how though as they are far from playing their best football. They struggled midweek and in my opinion they are a side ready to take a good beating – this is possibly the best time of the season for us to be travelling to Old Trafford, we are pretty good on the road right now.

We need Walcott’s goal on Wednesday to have rejuvenated him and if that proves to be the case then he really could be the key man against old red noses side, along with Samir Nasri of course!

Walcott has been talking ahead of this game and the potential trip to Spain in the Champions League.

We must go to Old Trafford and play without fear. We must enjoy ourselves and express ourselves, then our best performance will come out. United are not playing their best but are still there. They haven’t lost.

Hopefully, we won’t catch them on a good day because, right now, they are not playing well but are still second in the league. Our away form in the league is fantastic at the moment. We find it quite comfortable.
This is another test for us – a big test – but we did it at Manchester City and, hopefully, can do it up there again.

We hardly picked up any points against the bigger clubs last season but, this term, everyone is beating each other and matches can go either way. And the way we are playing away from home, we can beat anyone. Hopefully, we can be the first to beat United as we need to get a few points ahead.

These are the games when you see United step up. I don’t know how Rio Ferdinand is – I will have to drop him a few texts to see how he is getting along – but it will be nice if he misses the game!

We may play fantastic football but if you don’t put the ball in the back of the net, you’re not going to win.
This season, though, we are scoring goals – especially away. When we score three or four, we tend to win.

Being 21, I want to be starting games. I want to show the boss what I can do and he probably has a headache for Monday’s game. So fingers crossed, I can look forward to it – as these are the games you always want to play in.

I’ve never started at Old Trafford so it would be another milestone for me. We need to get something there.

It’s good to hear Walcott being positive, it’s good to hear he’s desperate to play and without having a moan but whether he starts on Monday or not remains to be seen. I’d love to see him play him through the middle with Chamakh and scare the heck out of a dodgy Ferdinand but with Robin van Persie back, I doubt that will happen.

Of course Walcott is right though and we all know that if we can’t put the ball in the net we won’t win but if we keep conceding silly goals, we won’t win that way either! Also we do tend to win when we score three or four but it’s about time we started to win when we are only able to score one or two and the only way this will happen is by sorting out the defensive unit.

Will that ever happen – How long is a piece of string?

Will Monday see us spring a surprise, will weΒ do to them what they did to us andΒ end their unbeaten run?

I hope so……
