Many a story is doing the rounds about both Robin van Persie and Nikki Bendtner and how long they will be out for. The latest on Robin is said to be a month but Nikki hopes to be back within that same time frame. However, the Danish FA have recently suggested that Bendtner could be out for the whole of the season but his father has quashed that bit of news. Mr Bendtner (snr) says,

β€œIt is not true that the injury was aggravated. I am in contact with him every day and I wanted to know if it was worse.”. β€œHe is still improving, and he hopes for each week that passes, he will soon be ready again. But there is one month before he is back, I can not say.”

Either way, neitherΒ will be fit to face Bolton this coming Saturday which leaves us with Chamakh up front. Partnering him will no doubt be Theo Walcott, barring injury against Switzerland in the week. Maybe its better that Capello plays Lennon or Wright-Phillips in this game, if there’s an injury out there to happen, best it’s not Theo who picks it up, eh?

Another player on his way back is Samir Nasri, he has just started training again and could be ready to face Bolton, he won’t though as there’s no need to rush him back, especially not against this side. Cesc is playing a bit part again for Spain so he shouldn’t be ‘too tired’ for the weekend….

Looks like a few are soon to sort out loan deals for the coming season, Henri Lansbury is linked with a move to Swansea until Christmas and Tom Cruise could also go out depending on whether he plays in the Carling Cup – he wants to join a ‘passing side’. There aren’t many of them around though Tom πŸ˜‰

InternationalΒ breaks are boring, not only does it mean that we have no club football but you can also guarantee that another story will come out of Spain about Cesc….

This time he is alleged to have spoken about the summer antics,

Barcelona made every effort to sign me, but Arsenal had told me to stay, which in no way I was going to refuse, and in the end I had to stay – The season will be a long one but I want to be professional and give it everything

We’ll see what happens in the future, I do not think of anything because if I think of the future it would not let me focus on the present and I would have a bad year.

Spot-On Cesc, your future, well the next nine months at least is at Arsenal and if you give it your best as captain the others will follow suit.

Finally from one who was once so young to those who still are. TheΒ Under 18’sΒ had a tricky fixture yesterday at home to Reading. After going 2-0 down, Josh Rees scored after the break to get the young ones back into the game. With eighteen minutes left to go, Arsenal salvaged a draw through a Jernade Meade penalty.

Reserves have the next fixture, Tuesday night, 7pm against Fat Sam’s reserves at home and not behind closed doors….

That’s about all the news around this morning, well other than the little story about Rooney but I’ll let you all read that for yourselves – I’m sure you’ll enjoy it πŸ™‚
