Morning all.

At the moment I’m doing everything I can to help the team win trophies, as we all are.

I’ve always had strong feelings towards the club and respected the club and that’s something I will never lose.

I’m still here, I’m not sad about it. I don’t regret it. I’m here, part of the group and as professional as any other player.

That’s not just words, you can see it in my matches, in my training and in my commitment.

That’s from Nicklas Bendtner.

Arsene Wenger must see all his effort and commitment in training which is no doubt why he believes the player has something to offer the squad. As do the Denmark international side and when he plays, he performs well and he’s scoredΒ 24 goals in 56 games for them, two of which came in a World Cup qualifier against Italy earlier this month.

So, scoring for his country is not a problem but when it comes to club football, especially ours, his goal tally is poor. 22 goals in 101 appearances.

It’s a strange one really and one I’ll probably never truly understand….

Staying with the Chelsea defeat, club captain Thomas Vermaelen is pretty downhearted and believes that we could have avoided our loss.

The first goal is always important, you always want to take the lead in such a big game. It’s quite disappointing they got a 1-0 lead, it was a goal we could avoid – I think both goals [were avoidable].

Of course he is right, we could have avoided conceding both goals but the game is done and dusted and no amount of talk will change that, the team really have to brush themselves down and put that defeat behind them. Hopefully Steve Bould will have had a word to those involved in both goals.

On Saturday we are up against a side who are in good form, especially up front. Both Suarez and Sturridge are going through a purple patch and are scoring many goals. They will certainly have more up front to threat us with than Chelsea had so our defensive players will need to remain switched on and in the right places.

We cannot afford to start slowly against them, nor can we afford to gift them an early goal otherwise their confidence will rocket and ours will drop. Also, we need The Emirates behind, an early goal for them and the fans will get nervous.

No more tippy tappy sideways, backwards negative stuff, it’s time to get this group firing again and we haven’t really seen that since the Napoli game when we saw defending at it’s best and attacking at it’s best.

We know they can do it, they just have to believe they can again….

Arsene Wenger is convinced they will:

We will respond against Liverpool, don’t worry.

The home form is a concern but not as big as the statistics show it, because I felt in big games against Dortmund and [Chelsea] we gave easy goals away.

This one is a big game, and it’s one we must win…

That’s your lot for another day….
