Milan midfielder linked, Clint Dempsey is perfect & beware of the wounded animal….

Today’s gossip from the papers:

Clint Dempsey’s name is again linked with us, apparently our scouts have been keeping an eye on him since January and Arsene has been told he’d be the perfect fit in our squad.

Another linked to us is attacking midfielder Stephan El Shaarawy of AC Milan. That story comes from his agent who believes any deal would be only a loan as Milan would be loathe to sell just a bright star, he’s 19 years old and only joined Milan last summer.

Enough of all that old malarkey, back to what matters, tonight!

Wolverhampton Wanderers are languishing at the foot of the table, out of the 32 games played this season they have lost 20!

It really is a sad state of affairs for them, where as we have found a rich vein of form at this time of the season, a time when we have so often struggled.

On paper we are the favourites for this one but I would issue a warning to players and supporters alike, a wounded animal is a dangerous creature and we should be on our guard and not take this game lightly.

We need to approach this game with caution and be fully committed from the off, no half-hearted, casual or complacency or we could well slip up and we cannot afford any more of those.

Many teams are just behind us and are praying for us to lose, now is not the time to answer those prayers.

Arsenal are never more vulnerable than just after a good victory and that came on Sunday against Manchester City through a late Arteta goal, now is not the time to let ourselves down and fritter away those hard-earned points.

I’m sure Arsene Wenger will have made the situation perfectly clear to the players that he would expect them to treat this game professionally and work hard for one another and keep their concentration from start to finish.

Teams around us are dropping points, let’s take advantage, not become one of them!

Let’s aim for that second spot, don’t look behind until it’s safe to do so.

Wolves as I said are fighting for all their worth, their Premier League survival and their pride, they are in front of their own fans and will be desperate to give them something to smile about.

We need to make sure we don’t give them a reason to smile tonight.

Big game for Alex Song, he may have to curb his attacking side, sit back and protect his back four, especially as Kos misses out and Djourou steps in no doubt. We must be focussed from the off, work for each other for 90 minutes and beyond.

Let’s show why we are where we are in the league and come away with all the points!

There are no doubt a few twists and turns to come over the next few weeks, but let that happen to others, not us, we must stay focussed and take each game as it comes.

Every game is a Cup Final.

    Good Morning all,

Another fine post SSP, beware of the wounded animal indeed, learn from the QPR debacl, lets not replicate it….

  2. Romford Pele (formerly HC) says:

They lied to you Rico! I watch quite a bit of Serie A and he’s lined up with Ibra a lot this season. He also started up front with Ibra against us at the Emirates with Robinho in behind.

  3. madgunner says:

An early goal and Wolves will collapse. the longer the game goes with out us scoring the more nervy our players and more danger of individual mistakes.

  4. rico says:

😆 Romford, i think i’ll take your word over theirs, he’d be good for a season on loan then….

  5. Romford Pele (formerly HC) says:

I can’t help but think this story is fabricated. El Shaarawy is a massive talent and I expect him to make the grade at Milan. Don’t see him coming here.

Podolski is arriving and there may be chances for Afobe and Campbell next season so it doesn’t really look like a viable option to me.

  6. Potter says:

Agents are now going into overdrive and they know that although we don’t pay City wages their wanabees would do allright at The Arsenal. We will be used as bait to either hike their current deals or alert other clubs that with the right offer their charges could be available. Dempsey is a little different being an established player but remember that we were in for Swartzer and Hangeland apparently but they both stayed at Fulham. I would not be surprised if this scenario has a similar outcome.

  7. rico says:

Romford, i strongly suspect it’s just his agent trying to tell Ac to play him, he only signed for them last summer, bit impatient isn’t he …

  8. UpTheArse says:

Morning H-H faithful. Wolves have been truly woeful for a long time now, but I think one of their last decent results came against us, seem to remember Hennessey having an absolute stormer and them sneaking a 1-1. Lets hope the team remembers this and wants to put the record straight!!! El Sharaway is just agents doing their thing, Dempsey on the other hand??!!

  9. rico says:

Hi Potter, agents agents agents, let’s hope Robins is a little more switched on eh 😉

Dempsey, well i have a sneaky feeling he will be a gooner next season…

  10. Romford Pele (formerly HC) says:

What’s wrong with RVP?! Four games without a goal! Sell him if he doesn’t score tonight, bloody disgrace! 😉

    Not entirely convinced about Dempsey.

  11. rico says:

😆 He’ll get back on track tonight hopefully, just hope AW isn’t tempted to rest him, no need with only 6 games left….

  12. UpTheArse says:

Hey Rico, with me too, it was the last game I went to. Was not a happy chappy on the train journey home!! I reckon we’ll put that straight tonight though!!

  13. Romford Pele (formerly HC) says:

    Errrrr, no thanks. Where’s Djourou?

We may as well forfeit the game if Squillaci starts.

I’d rather have Song or Jenkinson at CB.

  14. rico says:

Why do we all too often do things the hard way?

Just how many points have we lost against teams towards the bottom of the table??

You going to Wolves tonight UTA?

  15. rico says:

So would I Romford, just checked the team news and JD isn’t injured so the story is no doubt bollox 😉

  16. Tlailaxu says:

Anyone read FA’s ruling on last weekends disgraceful refereeing and the pathetic arguments for not giving an extended ban to balotelli and also letting derrys red card stand?…FA IS CORRUPT,sadly, and I just feel so disgusted, only thing I wish for is England to not win anything anywhere for as long as they have a system that encourages cheating diving, leg breaking challenges and corruption…total disgrace…

  17. UpTheArse says:

If we could cut out the complacency issue we would be serious contenders, but that’s a fairly obvious statement. No, won’t be making the trip to the delightful town of Wolverhampton tonight. Early start for work tomorrow 🙁
    Yourself?

  18. rico says:

No, don’t get to many home games, let alone away ones UTA, annoyingly SS’s are showing Citeh again..

  19. rico says:

We lack a player who can drag us past the ‘lesser’ sides, Adams could do it, Paddy could too – but since Paddy left, the ‘lesser’ sides have been our downfall….

Get a fine English player. That’s all

  22. rico says:

I’m with Romford there alan, we missed out on the one who was available, and look what he’s done for the neighbours…. They are half the team without him….

  23. allezkev says:

Rico, i don’t think it’ll be a walkover, but as MadGunner wrote, an early goal should kill their confidence and the Wolves crowd…
I suspect that it’ll be a tighter game than it should be because, well, we’re Arsenal, and that’s what we do.
    3 points for us though.

  24. allezkev says:

AlanMP, Jones is the guy i was most disappointed at missing out on.
ManUre have snapped up some of the best young British talent around.
With an eye to the future of course and the rules that’ll make teams use more indigenous players in the future.

3-0 to the good guys tonight.
I reckon we may touch them up a bit.
It depends on how we go about it.
We play better when we press,so attack them guys.

  29. rico says:

AK, i hope wenger plays the strongest 11, no resting….

Park on the bench is suspect, surely he won’t play him on the left wing?

I’d go with the same 11 that faced Citeh, JD of course the only swap… Have Ox ready to come on and kill them off. Keep Ramsey for the weekend…

  30. stevepalmer1 says:

I would like to see The Ox do a full 90 minutes if and when he gets picked for England he will be expected to do a full game and personally i think he plays better when his in from the start.

  31. allezkev says:

Wenger has been greatly impressed by Benayoun, particularly his contribution in wins over Tottenham and Manchester City, but will not make any decision until the end of the season.

“We have to look at the situation in a global way because we have many players out on loan so we need to deal with these situations,” said Wenger.

“We have to say that in the games he started he did extremely well and the team did extremely well as well. That is never a coincidence. So we have a good balance in the team with him and a good focus. And of course he has quality, Yossi.”

Benayoun is facing competition from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gervinho but is expected to keep his place in the Arsenal team for tonight’s match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Arsenal, though, will be without Laurent Koscielny in defence after he collected a two-game suspension for collecting his 10th booking of the season in Sunday’s match against Manchester City.

“We have a little [disruption] but Johan Djourou has done well recently when he came in,” said Wenger.

Andre Santos is also expected to replace Kieran Gibbs, who came off during the 1-0 win against Manchester City on Sunday with a groin injury.

    Arsene talking up Yossi…
    Wonder if he’ll stay on?

  32. Romford Pele (formerly HC) says:

There’s no need to rest anyone. We play one game a week. The team have a long enough rest period.

    My team:
    Szczesny
    Sagna Djourou Verm Santos
    Song Arteta
    Walcott Rosicky Benayoun/Ox
    RVP

  33. Romford Pele (formerly HC) says:

Don’t see Yossi staying though i’ve loved his professionalism. I’m a firm believer Myiachi will be a proper squad member next season. He’s being making huge strides at Bolton. Ox will also be getting more chances

  34. allezkev says:

I know that cost is always going to be an issue Romford, but the more players the merrier as far as i’m concerned.
Too often in recent seasons, Wenger has gone into a season with ‘just’ enough players in his squad and then a rash of injuries have shown that the squad was ‘just not’ strong enough and our season has imploded.
If the last few weeks have taught us anything, it’s how important a strong, FIT squad is to any teams success.
So i would keep Benny and worry about in January…

  35. rico says:

That would be mine too Romford…

I can see Yossi staying, for experience in the squad, we need that….

  36. allezkev says:

Rico, i wouldn’t be suprised either way tbh.
I’d like Benny to stay, as would you, but i suppose it depends on the business Wenger/Gazides does in the summer, the finance, and how the club can balance the 25 man squad?

  37. agirlagunner says:

Boo!! I completely agree. We need a full strength team. It’s not as if we are saving players for CL fixtures now, are we?? 😉

Hiya, rico, AK and Romford. 🙂 How are ya?

Scott, your conversation with yourself in the earlier post made me laugh. 😀

  38. allezkev says:

There seems to be a rumour going around, that Sagna is out of tonight’s game.
    Djourou at right-back?
    I do hope not!
    Surely Jenkinson must come in…

  39. allezkev says:

Mikel Arteta has insisted Arsenal have had enough wake-up calls against so-called lesser opponents this season to take nothing for granted in tonight’s match at Wolverhampton.

Arsenal are strong favourites to tighten further their grip on third place and the final automatic Champions League spot when they travel to Molineux. Wolves have lost their last six matches, while Arsenal have won seven of their last eight. The one blip in that spell came at QPR just over a week ago, the latest shock defeat for Arsène Wenger’s men away from home this season following surprise setbacks at Blackburn Rovers, Fulham and Swansea City.

Arteta said: “I don’t think it will be easy at Wolves. We have some good examples this year when we have dropped points against teams near the bottom. We have to go there with the right mentality and right approach and a sense of pride. When you’re playing away from home, there are no easy games in the Premier League.”

  40. Romford Pele (formerly HC) says:

Djourou will play CB. Jenkinson should come in if Sagna is out. No need to play CB’s out of position when we have fit FB’s. We all know what happened earlier in the season when that was the case.

  41. W.A.T.H says:

I can now confirm Scott & Scott are both (possibly singular) with their analyst for their weekly counselling session…!

  42. Micko says:

    Afternoon all,
Squillaci is lurking, sends a shiver down my spine.
As already mentioned the only thing that can beat us tonight is complacency, play to our strengths and the game should be over by half-time.
I can’t remember us having a bad game at Molineux since wenger took over, 4-0 rvp to score a hattrick.
Benny will get a better offer elsewhere in the summer, no big loss.

  43. rico says:

Hi Micko, seeing Squlli’s name makes me sick to the stomach, not unless he’s ready to bring the drinks on, thats all he’s fit for….

  52. agirlagunner says:

Goonster, you do make me laugh. Unless they’re in the red light district, not very wild, sorry.;)

Go to Boracay (would be exactly right for you), Bohol (a bit more chilled) Palawan (Bacuit Bay, Coron) (for diving, etc).

Basilan has beautiful beaches, I hear, but you might be kidnapped by terrorists. 😕

  53. Merlin96 says:

Rico, if we just concentrate on winning one game at a time, everything will fall into place.
As Wenger just said, he is not interested in the point score, he is only interested in winning the next game…..one at a time.

Guess QPR is an excellent wake-up call, a sharp needle that punctured all those swollen-heads and inflated EGo as if they can walk on water for stringing 7 wins in a row…….you know that fairy tale of “7 Dead at One Blow!”?

If QPR Aftermath did not clear away all those complacencies, plus Wenger did nto prepare those youngsters up for teh game against WOlves, then nothing will.

    My benchmark is:
I refuse to see them struggling to score and expect at least a 4-0 win….with 3 goals scored by half-time.

This means that they are fiercely focussed on the game, playing a high intensity and high temp game, continuously pressuring Wolves, full of commitment and hunger to win….. as if they are playing against Abu Dhabi City.

Play with the same intensity, commmitment and focus like against ABu DHabi City for these last games….and we can win them all as nobody, including Chelski and Stoke, can match us if we play at a high tempo and instantly closing down our opppnents whenever we lose the ball.

It was reported that is what our youngsters are trained on daily…a high intensity 5-a-side on a quarter of the pitch.

  54. devilgunner says:

Good Afternoon Guys and Chicks of the Near Exploding Gunners’ Faith.

Good post Sir SP. Unlike yesterday, today I did not guess it was you before I read the author of the post.

Scott….yesterday you were amazing. You reminded me of Gollum in LOTR…he was speaking to his alter ego. IMO you can easily write an article like that. That was a top bit and top class. It would really make an interesting read and I am honest.

Merlin you said “It was reported that is what our youngsters are trained on daily…a high intensity 5-a-side on a quarter of the pitch”….that is the best way to train players from the age of 13 upwards. 4/5/6 a-side in quarter pitches. And put it at two or three touches. But one word of caution…it is not to be done with kids under the age of 13 or it will murder their little bodies.

  55. goonster says:

Wow lots of places τ̲̅ȍ meet wild pretty filipino women? Sign me †ђε̲̣̣̣̥ hell up. Hey dg, howdy?

  58. rico says:

    Merlin,

i think we all agree that we the fans and the squad must not look any futher ahead than the next game, as Steve says, every game is a cup final, a must win but today it is Wolves, tomorrow Wigan, no more, no less….

  59. devilgunner says:

We need to focus and win the next game. Hopefully that will increase the distance between us and those behind us. 2nd will be a bonus

  60. rico says:

Bordeaux president Jean Louis Triaud has confirmed his interest in re-signing Marouane Chamakh, but says the Arsenal striker must first accept a pay cut to seal a return to France.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a return to France since last summer, with Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain both rumoured to be interested.

But in an interview with RMC, Bordeaux president Jean Louis Triaud said if Chamakh does return to Ligue 1 it will be with them, and nobody else.

‘I have spoken with Marouane and told him that he is welcome at Bordeaux and that we still have room for him,’ Triaud added.

‘He has told me that if he was to return to France, it would be at Bordeaux.’

The Bordeaux president went on to reveal that he had tried to re-sign Chamakh on at least two separate occasions.

But with Chamakh’s basic £55,000-a-week Arsenal salary plus potential transfer fee, he had always proved too expensive.

‘The main problem will be financial because he has tasted the salaries in England and Arsenal will ask for a fee,’ Triaud concluded.

Chamakh is happy to remain at the Emirates in a peripheral role next season, unless potential suitors can match his current wages but with Arsenal keen to offload, a season-long loan move may be in the offing.

  61. goonster says:

Have you guys seen vela’s goal? So glad he’s in vein of form. Hopefully we ll get a few million FO̶̷̩̥̊͡Я him.

  62. agirlagunner says:

I think chamakh ought to leave for the sake of his own career. 🙁 Shame, he seems to have lost form completely. He gave us a new dimension in attack, but his confidence is almost non-existent now.

Goonie, I said “red light district”. You pay to get some action and get STDs for free. 😀 😉 Be very careful.

Hi Dev, howdy?? You busy? Scott, I missed your earlier comment, but not very dignified for ladies, you know.

Merlin, great comment at 1:20. 🙂

AFTER banging home 33 goals in 42 games this season, it’s no surprise that Man City manager Roberto Mancini is chasing Robin Van Persie. But unlike so many former Gunners who have swapped north London for east Manchester, the Dutchman looks set to turn down a whopping £200,000 wage packet to stay at Arsenal, according to The Times.

The paper’s well-connected Matt Hughes says that Man City’s recent collapse has given Van Persie “reservations” about cashing in on City’s interest. He is said to favour a new four-year Arsenal contract, with the club apparently happy to offer their captain a wage rise from £80,000 to £130,000 and a tidy £6 million loyalty bonus. But don’t expect any news soon: the 28-year-old is adamant that formal negotiations shouldn’t begin before the season’s close.

With one eye on new strike partners for ‘Van the Man’, Arsenal are closing in on Fulham’s Clint Dempsey after club scouts made favourable reports to Arsene Wenger, according to the Daily Mail. The Gunners’ boss has been told that the 29 year-old American would “fit perfectly into their system” and his £10m price tag is also well within Arsenal’s budget.

Dempsey, who has scored 22 goals all told this season, is being hunted by a pack of Premier League clubs, but the Mail says Arsenal are “determined” to bring the Fulham frontman to the Emirates.

  64. devilgunner says:

Manchester United will have to fight off interest from Borussia Monchengladbach if they’re to sign Granit Xhaka in the summer. The 19-year-old playmaker came to prominence last season with the Swiss national team and, according to Talksport, Monchengladbach are determined to land the talented teenager.

But apparently Alex Ferguson is equally keen to snap up Xhaka having been impressed by his composed performances for Basel in this season’s Champions League. The asking price could be as low as £5m although that figure could rise considerably if a bidding war breaks out between United and Monchengladbach.

5 million???? Only 5 million???? Why doesnt AW go for him??? The guy is a very good player and will only improve. He is Parlour in disguise. I can tell you he will be a great defensive midfielder in two/three years time.

  65. devilgunner says:

Granit Xhaka [a] (born 27 September 1992 in Gnjilane, FR Yugoslavia) is a Swiss footballer of Albanian descent who plays as a midfielder for FC Basel in the Swiss Super League.

Former FC Basel coach Thorsten Fink once said. “Xherdan Shaqiri is the best talent in Switzerland…after Granit Xhaka.”[2] Whilst the Swiss National Football Coach, Ottmar Hitzfeld, has dubbed him the ‘young Schweinsteiger.'[3]

Since the beginning of the 2010–11 season, Xhaka played for the FC Basel first team. He made is first team debut in the third qualifying round of the 2010–11 UEFA Champions League in the away match against Debreceni VSC in the Szusza Ferenc Stadium. Towards the end of the game he scored the second goal in Basel’s 2–0 victory.[4] He scored his first Super League goal in the 5–1 home win against FC Thun on 15 May 2011.[5] At the end of the 2010–11 Swiss Super League, Xhaka won the Super League Championship title with FC Basel.

Xhaka has played for Swiss youth squad at the U-17 level. He participated in the Under-17 World Cup in 2009 in Nigeria. The Swiss team won the World Cup.[6]

He played his first game for the Switzerland national under-19 football team on 25 May 2010, as a substitute, as the team beat Austria national under-19 football team 3–2 in the Schwaz, Austria. He scored his first goal for the U-19 on 7 September 2010 as the team won 3–0 against the Czech Republic.

Rico…..I had already beaten you to that by around two hours. 😉

  74. goonster says:

So what’s your starting line up maam? Here’s mine:wojo bac/jenk,djourou verm santos song arteta tr7 theo yossi aΩ̴̩̩̩̥d̶̲̥̅̊ †ђε̲̣̣̣̥ prince!

  75. goonster says:

Don’t worry jm we ll whup them. They took valuable points off us so its payback time. Hi micko, dg.

  76. Micko says:

Good point rico, they all live out of shoe boxes up North don’t they.

Alright Stan, you watching the game down the battle cruiser tonight.

  77. rico says:

Barcelona have announced that defender Eric Abidal is recovering well after undergoing surgery on his liver.

The France international underwent the lengthy procedure on Tuesday which was completed just after midnight, at around the same time Barca had beaten Getafe 4-0, during which their fans chanted the full-back’s name.

Barca president Sandro Rosell said: “Today could be a great one all round, because we know that Abidal and his cousin (Gerard, the donor) are recovering well after the operation.

“I can’t say anything more than this because the family have specifically asked us not to say any more.”
    Dedication

Coach Pep Guardiola also offered his support to the player after seeing his team close the gap on leaders Real Madrid to one point at the top of La Liga.

“We want to dedicate this win to Abidal,” he said. “It’s a special day because we knew that today he underwent his operation.

“We’ve been told that Abidal’s operation has finished, which has been long and we need to be patient.

“Throughout the week we will know more. The next few days will be key to see how things are going. We have a lot of faith in someone as strong as him.”

Team-mate Andres Iniesta added: “I’m happy to dedicate this win to Abi. This is for you!”

  78. devilgunner says:

    Here goes mine……

    Chesney
    Sagna, Djourou, TommyV, Santos
    Rosicky, Song,Arteta
    Theo,RVP,Benny

  79. goonster says:

Don’t think oxcham ll start tonight maam. Wenger has reverted τ̲̅ȍ playing a technical mid fielder on †ђε̲̣̣̣̥ wings in away maches hence the inclusion of ramsey in the last few away games. I think ramsey or yossi ll start tonight.

  80. rico says:

goonster – i actually hope Ramsey doesn’t start, only because he’s a bit low on confidence and we need all hands to the pump tonight…..

  81. goonster says:

He sure is maam. I think he needs a breather too. Poor kid he’s played too many games already. Just don’t get why folks won’t get off his case. Its really annoying. †ђε̲̣̣̣̥ kid ȋ̝̊̅Ƨ̷̜̌̋ J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊ƨ̣̣̣̇̇̇̇τ̣̣̥ 21! Sheesh.

  82. devilgunner says:

Hmmmmmm. Is that your phone??? I thought it was you and the community service had made you go GAGA in your head Goonie 😆

  83. allezkev says:

What’s all this i keep hearing about Indonesia and a sunami?
Hope your gonna be ok up there in Manila Agag?

  84. devilgunner says:

The only Tsunami there will be will occur when Goonie lands at Manila airport. I heard all the philippino girls are going so much gaga over him that they have hacked his phone. 😉

  85. goonster says:

Shut up dg, hiya kev. What tsunami? Am heading to southeast asia pretty soon. Don’t go scaring me.

  86. devilgunner says:

Take your rubber duck with you Goonie. And inflate it so that it will manage to float.

Now why would I shut up?? I am giving you a helping hand!!! 🙁

  87. allezkev says:

Well done Coach. E-mail me a picture.

Tbh Stan, i thiought you doing that with your phone on purpose.
Thought it was some kinda code….!

  89. devilgunner says:

I pity the poor people who live there. A tsunami can take away all your life in one instant. Even if one remains alive all his possessions would have been lost.

That is why I love the mountains.

  90. devilgunner says:

my fault un corno (italian swear word). That is because I value your life mate. I need you here.

On the other hand be a gentleman……instead of going there why dont you pay for AGAG the passage and offer her a free holiday at your country??? 😉

  91. devilgunner says:

See you Goonie. Its nice pulling your leg a bit. And I know that you and I make the others smile. Deep down I know that you know that we like each other. And as AK told you……STICK TO EFFING HOLLAND……hang on….your land is built on water!!! YIKES

  92. devilgunner says:

Of course I will email you a picture mate. Its finished now. All it needs is polishing and buffering.

  93. agirlagunner says:

Boo!! AK, for a change, the Philippines was not included in the tsunami watch. Whew! But I do dread earthquakes. A funny(ish) story: Our office is on the 37th floor, and the last time we felt some tremors; all the foreign consultants looked like they wanted to cry… One actually took the stairs all the way down to the first floor. The rest of us carried on working. 😀

Goonster, FYI, holidaymakers in Krabi/Phang Nga and other South of Thailand islands have been required to seek higher ground. 😉

    Devil, cheeky. 🙂 🙂

  94. devilgunner says:

Hiya Agag. 😉 I enjoyed pulling his leg a bit. But I was being serious….he should pay you a holiday.

When you had the tsunami I was dumb with shock. TBH I was that dumb with shock only three times……when I saw your tragedy, the Japan earthquake and when I saw the film Schindler’s list. The last one I could not manage to eat properly for two days.

I could not believe that such devastation could be brought by nature let alone by humans themselves.

  95. devilgunner says:

It took me the best of 7 months Agag. Removed all the rust, and then resprayed it as new. I had some hiccups on the way but thankfully now panel working is over. Now to work around the engine and hopefully by next week or maybe in two weeks time it will be going va va voom

#AFC v #WWFC: 3 changes from win over #MCFC: Santos, Djourou and Ramsey in for Gibbs, Koscielny and Rosický.

  97. Gunner4life says:

Just read on the other blog that rvp and ramsey came to blows after the man city game. Is this just a plan to disrupt our rhythm.

  98. devilgunner says:

I do not think so Gunner. Sometimes such handbags are important for team building. That shows that they care. People like Gallas, Ade, Nasri, Flamini etc would shrug off and do not care. Depends on which blog you read it!!!!

  99. agirlagunner says:

It’s La Nina this year, I think. I’m always more worried about the floods, Dev. 🙁

AK, I’ve just been to Cambodia. I’ll ask rico to send you the photos. 😉 You guys should go! 🙂

Goonster, in Siem Reap, there are interesting pizza restaurants; Happy Pizza, Ecstatic Pizza, etc. If you ask for some “special” oregano, your pizza will get a good sprinkling of ganja. 😀 😀 I didn’t try it. Not my idea of fun. I went for some cooking lessons though. Now, that is wild. 😆

  100. rico says:

Team in full: Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Djourou, Santos, Song, Arteta, Ramsey, Benayoun, Walcott, Van Persie.

Substitutes: Fabianski, Squillaci, Jenkinson, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Chamakh, Park.

  101. allezkev says:

Maybe, hopefully, Ramsey will break his goal drought tonight.
He should be given a more central attacking role.

  102. devilgunner says:

Whatever role he plays there is only one role he needs to get out of his head………..he is not the next Cesc.

  103. Scott From Oz says:

Hey I come on,and its one nil already.
Scott will try and take credit, but its me,Ozzy who should be thanked lol.

  104. devilgunner says:

Bassong wanted to repay the swampies back for not playing him regularly. He needs the scum to be out of Europe so that he can play when the rats desert the sinking ship.

  105. devilgunner says:

    For your benefit Ozzy………..

    devilgunner says:
    April 11, 2012 at 1:28 pm

Scott….yesterday you were amazing. You reminded me of Gollum in LOTR…he was speaking to his alter ego. IMO you can easily write an article like that. That was a top bit and top class. It would really make an interesting read and I am honest.

  106. Joaquim Moreira says:

🙂 0-2 10 versus 11. Just control the match now. Score one more goal and it’s enought

  107. devilgunner says:

Oy you guys in red….can you kindly stop taking the piss and start running instead of walking and dinking the ball around??? We need a couple more goals you dumb asses.

  108. allezkev says:

Great to see Capt Vantastic score again.
A couple more from him and the Golden Boot will be 90% in the bag.
    Player of the Year, surely…

  109. devilgunner says:

you know that the players are taking the piss when Theo and Sagna start playing between themselves on the flank.

Song is sitting deep today….he is not breaking sweat. But sometines he is sooooooo much deeeeeeepp that he is nearly in line with the centrebacks.

  110. Scott From Oz says:

I’ve defended Ramsey recently….not his performances, they’ve been average, but him personally.
No need today,he’s looking very good.

  111. devilgunner says:

Is De Gea Gay???? Fabianski was literally bundled into the net and the goal stood. De Gea was breathed upon andhe was obstructed??? LOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLL

  112. devilgunner says:

I know that at the moments it is a case of Arsenal telling Wolves ‘how fit are you and can you stay with us?’ but this is getting boring. I hope they do not get one back

  113. Scott From Oz says:

Citehs goal comes seconds after an obvious and blatant foul that wasn’t given up the pitch.

  114. devilgunner says:

Much as I like Wolves and would not like to see them go down I do want a thrashing to claw back the mauling at OT. It will give players the belief they need.

Still I do not rest until we are about 5-0 with just 1 minute left.

  115. devilgunner says:

Officials are getting their ear bent at both Molineux, where Neil Swarbrick departs to a chorus of boos, and the DW Stadium where Gary Caldwell in in animated discussion with linesman Dave Richardson. It looks a little bit of a monologue though, as the assistant has the blinkers on, determinedly ignoring the Wigan defender.

  116. Scott From Oz says:

    Devil,they haven’t been close though.
By the way,I did my first certificate last night…..learnt more in two hours about coaching than in 35 years.
Brilliant to learn from professional coaches, and it showed my limitations technically.
Our club is playing in a relatively low league, but really are trying to build.
The guys in question have offered to come down to run drills, even for the 6 y.o’s.
Great club to be involved in.

  117. devilgunner says:

it looks like Manchester United’s Jonny Evans has accidentally nudged Gary Caldwell into goalkeeper David de Gea to trigger the linesman’s flag.

  118. devilgunner says:

That prick Barton has put QPR ahead.

Goody for you Ozzy. Will send you some links tomorrow or Friday on youtube how you can teach little kids some skills.

  119. Scott From Oz says:

Song was 15 yards out and again tries the perfect pass.
It was a fairly easy shot to take.
All the speed has gone from our play on and off the ball.

  120. allezkev says:

Devil, maybe Wenger needs to shake things up, and Oxlade-Chamberlain is just the man for that job…

  121. devilgunner says:

AFC are just going through the motions. Passing the ball around and making them run. But this is getting boring. We need another goal.

  122. devilgunner says:

Watch out dickheads……Chesney did a marvellous job

Stop this fanny pussying around and score a FUCKING THIRD

  123. allezkev says:

    3 yellow cards for Wolves.
We need a 3rd goal, to kill them off, before some nutter does one of our players…

  124. Scott From Oz says:

    Wolves are making their run.
Give it 5 minutes and they’ll be gone.
We have at least one more to come.

  125. Scott From Oz says:

Ramesy will be off in a minute, much to the joy of you terrible lot lol.
    He’s overstretched in a challenge,and is struggling.

  126. rico says:

Guys, I’m gone for the day, here’s to another 3 or 4 before the end…

    Nighty all, catch up soon….

  127. Scott From Oz says:

You know what…..Wolves have conceded a lot of goals this season, but I reckon Hennesy is a terrific keeper.

  128. Joaquim Moreira says:

I’m not going to that place Allez
Why I’m not Arsenal coach? I just watch 15 minutes and I said the answer: we must replace one of the full backs 🙂

  129. allezkev says:

JM, i always visualised you, in a white suit, showing all the ladies, that you know your cebolas on the dance floor…. 😉

  130. Scott From Oz says:

Djourou and TV5 have both been very good.
Joaqim,no you didn’t,you said replace Santos!!!!!

  131. devilgunner says:

They did not have much to do Sir AK.

    But both were solid.

They will need to work harder vs Wigan

    Offski now

    cu tomorrow mates

  132. Scott From Oz says:

We were great for the fifteen minutes, but took the foot off the accelerator.
We did what we had to do.
It will be tougher v Wigan, but we have another gear or two.

  133. Joaquim Moreira says:

yes, Scott, but then OX come in. Santos needs minutes. Compare Beny and the way he played versus others players. It’s a difference between those that usually playing and the others, that playinng sometimes. Therefore, Wigan won 1-0 and it wull be our nexr match

  134. Scott From Oz says:

Thank god RVP finally broke his drought…..getting worried there!!!
Id love to know Yossis shots to goals ratio this season.
He doesn’t rake many, but they are never far away.

  135. allezkev says:

Wonder if Diaby and Coquelin will be fit to be involved in the squad vs Wigan???
    Gibbs might be fit Monday.
Gervinho may also be fit for Monday.

  136. allezkev says:

SSP, i think tonight was all about saving energy, avoiding injuries and getting the right result.
    No cards is encouraging.

  137. Scott From Oz says:

Joaqim,I just disputed your comment mate, because it was wrong.
You didn’t say we needed to replace a fullback at all…..you singled out Santos.
On Yossi….I said early in the season I’d try to sign him full time, and my opinion hasn’t changed.
He brings energy to the entire club.
    I love watching him play.

  138. Scott From Oz says:

    Steve,I agree with AK here.
Yes,it would’ve been nice to put 5 on them, but it really wouldnt make any difference.
The way things are,we needed the win and got it.
As I said earlier,it was clinical and professional…..hardly inspiring.
We need a win v Wigan…1-0 or 5-0,makes no difference.
Keep the squad fit and firing for a few more weeks is the most important thing.

  139. allezkev says:

With the FACup Semi-Finals this weekend, we have a great chance to put a massive gap between us and the chasing pack.
Yes, they’ll have games in hand, but psychologically beating Wigan will be a huge task for the chasers to achive.
    Beyond them i reckon….

  140. Scott From Oz says:

Besides Steve,i tipped a 3-0 win,the money was on,ref was in my pocket……there’s no corruption in the Premier League lol.

  141. allezkev says:

Beat Wigan AND Chelsea in next two games, and i think it is virtually done and dusted….

This team can go to Stoke and win i reckon….

None of the remaining games really worry me.

As long as our best players are fit, i think we can cope.

  142. Scott From Oz says:

    AK,nobody is chasing us.
    We are leading them!!!!
    Let them scrap over third.
We must keep our eyes forward and grind them into the ground.
We are the pride of London, and my little part of Australia!!!
    Stay positive guys!!!!!

  143. Scott From Oz says:

The sun is peeking through AK.
I’m conditioning myself for Anzac day…..early start that one.

  144. stevepalmer1 says:

You guys are right again but when your in control i like to see us play but yes we were proffesional

  145. Scott From Oz says:

Off to work guys…..catch you all later.
    Yes AK…..it was Gallipolli.
A very, very emotional day in Australia.

  146. Scott From Oz says:

The sun is shining, birds are chirping, coffee is fresh, croissant is soft and warm,we won and UTD LOST.
    The worlds a wonderful place!!!!!!
