Morning all.
Right then, two days to go for Arsene Wenger to bolster his first team. And yes, I mean first team.
Don’t get me wrong, apart from Park, Frimpong, Bendtner and Diaby, everyone we have in our squad has an important part to play in the remainder of our season.
Ok, Bendtner may have a part to play as the season goes on but Lord help us if the others have to be called on.
Many of us on HH have laughed about how many times Blaise Matuidi, now at PSG, has been linked to us over the years and his name has again cropped up as his contract expires this summer.
Ok he’s not big or tall in fact he’s a tiddler at just 5′ 9″ but he’s a defensive midfielder and one who PSG don’t want to lose and Man City are sniffing around, so he must be doing something very right.
I’ll type this very quietly, he’s played 84 matches in just over two years at PSG which kind of suggests he doesn’t suffer many injuries so that would be a huge bonus…
Whilst his situation is up in the air, why not get him in on loan until the summer? If it works, we’d be in a good position to make the deal permanent.
Julian Draxler, well this has gone on so long it had got very boring, well, until yesterday when it became well known that whoever it is at Arsenal that works so lazily hard to secure our new signings had popped off to Germany in attempt to secure the player who Sir Bobby Pires believes could really be a huge star for us.
See, that’s enough for me to be totally taken in, not by Sky Sports etc, but the very fact that our old hero thinks he’s good enough. I’ve watched Draxler play for his country, albeit limited and I’ve seen youtube clips which of course pick the best bits out but if Bobby say’s he’s right, he’s right!
IF by some kind of miracle the next 48 hours see both players signed, we will be a lot strong side than we are right now, especially as injury and a four match ban have hit us.
And IF by another miracle we get Real Madrid striker Morata on loan until the summer, I’d be pretty content, although suggestion is the striker might yet be Juventus 30 year old Mirko Vucinic.
48 hours Arsenal if you really want us to win the league, FA Cup or Champions League.
We are in a good place right now and we have the money to make that place great and this is not the time to be static, this is time to take one or two risks…
And those risks might just pay off and see Arsene Wenger back on the winners podium again…
Come on Arsenal and Arsene, show some balls and show that you want this club to be as successful as we fans do….

The issue was that he was being played off the inside rhs when Lichtsteiner arguably the best attacking rb in the world and Marchisio (another TR07) were injured. Vidal the best midfielder was also out; Vidal is now being played on the rhs by Conte in order to accommodate all his starters;
Juve have 4 or 5 strikers with Tevez a guaranteed starter imho and when all are fit they have 3 strikers fighting for 1 position next to Tevez…. in the 3-5-2 formation they play…
I think he is being sold because he is very similar to Tevez whilst Llorente compliments Tevez… Quagliarella and Giovinco can all play the 2nd striker role too…
Moreover Juve do not want him to leave… we had to fight for him…

Rico – That’s quite the shopping list you have – “Matuidi, Draxler & Vucinic” or Morata if Vucinic is indisposed.
I’d love to get Draxler and that may be possible. Matuidi may be good, but I think we need some height in that position. Vucinic is too old for Arsene’s taste, unless he is available at a knockdown price, which I doubt. I can see Morata or one of the other young strikers that are surplus to current requirements in Spain.
