Lose twice to Spurs…..! Unthinkable.

It’s looking pretty likely though in all honesty.

Dirty ‘Arry (or should that be Dodgy Arry) has moved his side forward, while Wenger has taken ours backwards.

Not much we can do about what we have in our squad right now but if Wenger has it in him to pick the right team and then get the team motivated enough to play this North London Derby in the way we all remember over the years, we could just sneak a surprise at Shite Hart Lane. Let’s be honest should any Arsenal team need motivating to play that lot down the road? It’s pretty pathetic that they need to be motivated at all but that kind of sums up the players that we currently have.

A win would certainly surprise me as I have all but given up hope on players that seem to lack fire in their belly and the will to win. Players that seem happy to play only for a pay packet and not for our shirt. If they can’t turn up and show some passion against our biggest and most hated of rivals then they have surely lost all touch with the fans as this is the game “we” want them to win.

Well tonight will tell! Is the manager up for it? Are our players up for it, do they actually want to win the league, do they want to get one over our rivals and dent their chances of making champions league football, do they want to do it for us the fans who had to listen to that shower down the road celebrate back in November at our place like they’d just won the World Cup……

Well when you don’t win very often I suppose you do tend to get rather carried away, they’d know all about very little success eh…………..!

Player for player we are probably better than them, just, but what they have is determination, while what we seem to have is the ability to ‘not turn up’ sometimes.

However….

We are not so bad away from The Emirates, we seem to find something extra in us – maybe that’s down to the travelling fans who really make their presence felt and heard? I don’t know!

But, just as we have the Chavs on our tail pressing for second place, the Swampies have Liverpool on their tail too so tonight means a lot for both clubs.

I cannot stand Liverpool but I have to admit, I hope they overtake the Tiny Totts and take that 4th place in the league and I hope we help them in their quest!

Just take yourself back a few seasons, still in the Wenger reign, we had Adams, Keown, Paddy, Parlour, Pires, Dixon, Winterburn – Henry and Bergkamp….

Did they lose against the Swampies often? Hardly ever, why? because they knew what it meant…..!

Much is said about the need for players to understand this fixture, understand why it means so much to Arsenal fans, why it means so so much not to lose, most of our current players don’t seem to have a clue. There are a few, lets hope the others get taught very quickly.

Many Arsenal fans believe that to get that back we need to buy British, buy players who will give their all for the red and white of Arsenal.

This is where Thierry Henry proves they don’t have to be British to know what playing the Swampies means to an Arsenal Fan but he was taught by the old guard.

He was told about Arsenal, he was told about the rivalry and when he played it showed, remember this?

Or this?

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3740163283934559876#

He took it upon himself to learn about Arsenal and he gave the fans what they wanted to see…

Who will do that for us tonight?

Nasri, Theo, Cesc maybe even Robin will  make sure we thrash the arse off of our local rivals…..

But, whatever happens, even if they win which they possibly will, they will forever be in our shadow, simple as that.

However bad we are, they are worse, however bad things get for us, it will never as bad as they have been.

Of all the league titles we have won in those 50yrs the two that stand out for me are the ones where we won the league at their ground, yes the home of our bitter rivals, we took over the place in 71, how embarrassing for them were those scenes of us celebrating at “their” ground,  remember all the Gooners on the pitch, a stadium 3/4 full of Arsenal fans and then again in 2004 we won the league at the lane.

Imagine having to watch us do that twice at their place, no wonder they are all bitter and twisted and celebrate any kind of win or even a draw against us.

Let’s not forget,  they have given us plenty to laugh about over the last 50 yrs….! 🙂

Lets make sure we help the swamp dwellers down the road celebrate their golden anniversary of last winning the league, yes indeed 50, that’s FIFTY years since they last won the league and we think things are bad.

When you have time, sit down and think of all the things that have happened in the last 50 years and think of all the things that have gone on in this world and have a smile to yourself that its been that long since that lot last won the league title. If that doesn’t bring a smile to your face nothing will.

Let’s hope we have another laugh tonight…..

That’s if for today, have a good one……

As I said to my spuddie mate who laughed when we drew against the Pool. You are having your best season, we our worst, we have still reached a final, still done better than you and still ABOVE you. All about perspective innit.

Although, I am finding it hard to get up about this game.

  2. Alan S says:

I echo your sentiments Will, even watching United draw last night didn’t excite me, as I just can’t see this team having the stomach to win a championship!

Good news that Sagna is back though!

  3. rico says:

    Morning Guys and Gals

    Sagna is a big boost..

I’m up for this game, only because its against ‘them’!!

  4. Will says:

We have Cesc saying what we are all saying but Wenger won’t acknowledge and I can see Cesc leaving which I think will spark a mass exodus.

We have players CLEARLY not good enough but the man perseveres with them. I would have rather seen some of the youth given a chance.

Now I know we can not keep looking back and saying well, Henry, Vieira Bergkamp would not do blah blah blah. We have to realise and accept that we were blessed to see such players in the shirt of the famous Arsenal and even more blessed to see them all together and players like that are once in a generation but, I think we have every right to expect players to have the fucking bottle to fight and go for it.

Pass pass pas pass pass pass pass lost the ball is cowardly, not great football.

  5. W.A.T.H says:

Fuck the title…………..! The only thing that matters is beating the swamp dwellers…! If we beat them tonight then we take one game at a time but least we would of beat them and shut them up from November but I must admit I dont think we have enough passion or fight to go there and win 2nite, far to many don’t know what it means. So hope I am wrong.

  6. didee says:

gonna be watching the game in a pub today, so i get to see our game, the chav game and the el-clasico part3 all at once, and i know i would be soaked in pressure cos i love this team to much and they choke too often

  7. rico says:

    Will,

Cesc is probably trying to talk his way out, he may be right in what he says but is he right to be saying it publicly?

  8. rico says:

    Hi didee & WATH

If we were to win the title, which we won’t, it would be a disaster in some respects. Wenger would then say he believes in this sqaud blah blah blah…

Right now, all i want us to do is put in a performance of our lives tonight and beat our most bitter of rivals in their own back yard.

  9. rico says:

Will, he should be doing all that behind closed doors in my opinion, not feeding the idiots in the press….

  10. didee says:

well according to the online gooner, Cesc has got his property up for sale and he aint looking to buy a new one

  11. Will says:

I can see Cesc leaving and then Nasri, AA, Van Persie etc etc.

All because Wenger would not buy what was needed.

  12. rico says:

didee – saw that too, not sure what to make of it and where that has come from though…

Will, if players only want to stay at arsenal because of one player or manager then they aren’t worth keeping, if cesc goes and wenger rebuilds with experienced players, we would be on our way to being better and stronger…

Wenger isn’t God and neither is Cesc Fabregas…

But, I don’t think RvP would walk that easily, he loves Arsenal, just like his old Dutch friend Dennis did….

  13. didee says:

Robin says he is going no where, he looks very committed. i guess thats because he feels his injuries have been part of the problem

  14. Alan S says:

I dont think we can really blame Cesc for wanting to leave! His back must be broken for carrying this team for 3 of the past 4 years!
Wouldn’t surprise me if AA went to Italy/Spain as he looks a broken man…. a far cry from the play maker who lit up the Euro’s 3 years ago

But fret not, Im sure the likes of Denilson, Diaby and Eboue will hang around for their juicy pay packets….

Ohh, and we’ll have a ‘new signing’ in Vermaelen too 🙂

  15. rico says:

On a league note, the mancs have to play everton at the weekend, everton haven’t lost in ages….. mme

  16. rico says:

    Alan,

I don’t care if he does anymore as long as wenger invests money this summer and same goes for AA too…

We need players who want to be at our club, not players who are looking for a way out.

Eboue and Denilson, well i think they will be gone by the end of the transfer window…

  17. Will says:

    Things I will never understand.

Why was Denilson kept and Henri let to go on loan? Denilson hardly plays so surely Henri could have kept the bench warm just as well.

Why was JeT allowed to go on loan and we keep Nik B when we already have a tall, “target man” in Chamakh? Surely JeT would have given us another option on the bench?

Why didn’t we get the commanding centre half EVERYONE knows we need?

  18. Alan S says:

I agree Rico, with hindsight it looks like another case of ‘last season syndrome’ with Cesc. Far too similar to Vieira, Henry and Cole for my liking to be honest!

  19. Will says:

Russian investor Alisher Usmanov has moved to increase his holding in Arsenal, despite Stan Kroenke clinching deals to acquire a controlling stake in the club.

Usmanov has underlined his vow not to sell his shares to the American tycoon by spending more than $115,000 (£70,500) on six shares to maintain his hold of 27 per cent of the club.

Kroenke secured a 62.89% controlling share in Arsenal earlier this month after agreeing to buy out two major shareholders for around £234million.

    Usmanov: Has upped Arsenal stake
The late Danny Fiszman (16.1%) and Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith (15.9%) were those bought out and, by passing the 30% threshold, Kroenke is obliged to make a cash offer for the remaining capital at £11,750 a share.

The club’s total value has been set at £731million and Kroenke will look to purchase the £194million stake owned by Usmanov.

But the Russian, who does not have a seat on the Arsenal board, has previously stated he has no intention of parting with his shares, underlining his ‘love’ for the club.

  20. JonJon says:

    morning
    good post

    wath at 9.50
spot fucking on..just said that on another site..
fuck the title for a second its about beating those bastards tonight and payback
    tonights about arsenal pride..
and its back to the title race v bolton..

  21. JonJon says:

the timing of what cesc has said is wrong..
the fans can doom and gloom but this guys our captain and he needs to concentrate on the remaining games rather than show a defeatest attitude..

hes got a point..hes said what weve all been saying and the guys a world class player he wants to win trophies and play with other class players

but the timings off as captain he should be doing his talking on the pitch and trying to get us over the line, he should have waited until the season was over..and then as the captain go to wengers office and say what the fuck is going on cos i take take this shit no more..

  22. rico says:

    Hi Osi and jj,

spot on re cesc jj, have a go at wenger and the board, not tell the world and your team mates we are crap..

how they going to raise their game after that?

They have little belief in any case…

  23. SD-London says:

    Nice post Rico.

But i dont care about history or the love affair we share with the spuds but the fact that we have an opportunity to close up on Man utd and send them panicking.

i hope and pray Wenger gets it right, because he has so much fashioned this team in a way that if his plans doesn’t work the players are unable to think out of the box.

Well i don’t care whether the Spuds or Liverpool or Man city become 4th but for us to give ourselves a good chance when we welcome the Manure utds.

  24. Osi says:

It SEEMS noone wants this league title! I had a feeling that ManU would drop points in Yesterday game. They have Everton at home next and that’s not easy as Evertonians, unlike others self-proclaimed, self-righteous teams such as Stoke and Co, give their all against ManU and anyother top teams.

  25. Osi says:

Isn’t beyond belief that Chelsea are mathematically still in the title race? Craziest season ever maybe, certainly since I follow the English league!

  26. JonJon says:

the chavs have been creeping up on us a while

the stalwart akb’s have been defending a 2nd place finish as a wonderful achievement so everyone should shut up..
    theyve been forgetting about chelsea…
we keep up this form we wont get 2nd never mind 1st
and thats why everyones concerned..but they still dont get it…

  27. Alan S says:

Its all too familiar a sight, we get into March/April with a chance of some silverware, but when the games come round that we need to win we bottle it.

We are a ‘sunshine’ team. If the roles had been reversed on Sunday and Liverpool had got their pen first does anyone really think Arsenal would have charged forward in search of an equaliser????

I’ve said it before, and i’ll say it again. There is a culture at the club which rewards mediocrity, and it needs to change for us to win anything!!

  28. Osi says:

“we keep up this form we wont get 2nd never mind 1st
and thats why everyones concerned..but they still dont get it…”

JonJon I agree with your first line but not the second, I’m not concerned at all, I don’t care, and It wouldn’t satisfy me to be 2nd at all. THE TITLE.

  29. rico says:

Certainly has been a crazy season and to think, had we won just three of our bore draws, we would be top!

jj, second place means nowt, other than a CL place to me…

  30. Osi says:

MY MESSAGE to Arsenal players win all the remaining match and maybe then will my disappointment be dissipated.

  31. rico says:

Alan, too true, been the same since the Brum gallas strop game….

What it proves to me is, that when we have to play more games as we are in all 4 comps, the injuries hit and the back up players are not good enough. We then start losing and the confidence we had gets lost too…

  32. SD-London says:

I think it is a good thing that Chelsea is creeping behind us because the possibility of them snatching 2nd will be too much for our players to play with.

This should get them serious because they have used up all the cushion they had .

  33. Osi says:

Man, that Brom game gave me NAUSEA, and abused my confidence and injured my pride in Arsenal, and then came the Blackburn to kill them properly. had we WON these 2 games we would……….. don’t wanna think anymore too disappointed …NAUSEA.

  34. JonJon says:

im in the same boat as you guys..
    its the title or nothing
    2nd place is first loser..

but the people who are defining saying 2nd place is also a success forget that chelsea are withing one win from pushing us into third…

then whats their arguement?? third place is success??

    sounds like wengerism to me..

not saying i agree with it..just saying the arguement holds no water.. 😉

  35. oliver says:

morning all. we probably should be nine points behind tonight, but credit to newcastle. we keep getting these glimmers of hope – at points when it should already be over – surely we are going to capitalize at some point?

title or not, it’s the spuddies and we have to win..’nuff said there.

  36. Alan S says:

I was going to mention the Brum fallout debarcle… Remember the next 3 games…. all 1-1 draws against mediocre opposition…. and that was 3 years ago

I dont see how it can be a good thing with Chelsea so close. If they wanted motivation is was with the games against Sunderland & BBurn… win these and we’ll be TOP…. but no, it just didn’t happen! never mind looking over our shoulders for Chelsea….With United dreadful away form and our ability to bottle everything, I can still see Chelsea winning the league.

  37. Osi says:

Rico I believed that Wenger would sacrifice the CL and restour best players to only LEAGUE games to give us the best chance to win the TITLE with our fit squad. But, unfortunately he succumbed to pressure of fans or maybe some players and play them half fit against BARCA which resulted in a team with shuttered confidence and half fit or unfit for the following games.

  38. Osi says:

Hi Alan, We at Arsenal Academy should be proud of ourselves because we needed new skill ability which can make difference and that NO OTHER teams is capable to produce: ABILITY TO BOTTLE EVERYTHING.

Unfortunately, it’s a set of skills that can only work in competing teams favor.

  39. rico says:

I’m with you Alan, a proper fighting team wouldn’t even be looking behind them, they would be looking and concentrating on overtaking the team in front…

Osi, i asked on here a while back, if wenger had to give up on one competition, IF it meant winning something, which would you all choose…

I hoped the CL, the others were all winnable but then we got cocky, disrespected Brum and the tumble began….

  40. Osi says:

but guess who’s coping us? ManU, they’re finally discovering the ABILITY TO BOTTLE SOMETIMES, AND MAYBE EVERYTHING.

  41. Alan S says:

Wenger succumb to pressure from the fans…. Have i missed something or have we just signed Gary Cahill (or some other dominating CB) and Toulalan (or another DMF)

Osi, I believe Wenger has been obsessed with Europe for about 4 years now, probably even more so than Abromovich. He changed our style of play (which was dominating England at the time) to try and accommodate this, however it simply hasn’t bore any fruit, and with Barca lookiong like they could dominate European football for the next 5 years I can’t see it happening anytime soon.

  42. Osi says:

I totally agree with, RICO, we got way too cocky for our own good. DISRESPECTING OPPOSITION, COMPLACENCY, PANIC, and ABILITY TO BOTTLE EVERYTHING is all we did this season. Skill-wise we’re BEST overall but… everything else is very AVERAGE.

  43. Osi says:

ALAN I mean the pressure of WINNING A TROPHY. I’m not talking about any other pressures here. What I meant is that we could have sacrificed EVERY OTHER TROPHY once we knew we had a realistic chance of winning the league. IN other words I’m talking about PRIORITIZING HERE nothing else, and for me the LEAGUE had to be prioritized when it become evident that we’re in strong position.

  44. Alan S says:

And whats even more frustrating is that this team have nothing to be cocky about!! What have they done of any merit??

  45. Alan S says:

I agree with the priority setting Osi!

Personally, i think once we were in the CC final, we should have focused on that instead of disrespecting Brum and assuming that we’d win! That would have been the catalyst for the rest of the season… alas, once again a catamitous few seconds at the back and we were done for!

Saying that, there were 4 minutes left after that goal went in, like Lpool on Sunday….. where was the reaction from the players????

  46. Osi says:

Alan I think you’re getting a bit carried away when you say Arsene, in his obssession to win a CL, changed everything including prioritising, style of play and everything else.

The style changed because the personnel changed. Since the emergence of FAB in midfield instead of Patrick Viera and with the departure of contracting players like Pires, Lyunberg, TT our style of play had changed to accommodate the personnel. Don’t assume too much football MANAGEMENT is like any other management theory changes with progression, time and personnel.

Arsene believes in Scientfic management, he likes to analyse both players abilities and the need of the modern game and change his philosophy accordingly. His an amateur young manager who COPY other peoples ideas.

If what you’re saying is true and then why didn’t he changed his style of play to accommodate Europe when he had better skilled and experienced players who could have digested his European tastes.

  47. Osi says:

Alan I couldn’t agree more, they’ve NOTHING to be COCKY about. Most of us hate COCKY people even those win everything in life let alone some unknown and no achievers getting cocky. Think of how we OSTRICISED Evra, who won EVERYTHING, as he was too cocky and then WE see our own players getting cocky, and Im like Who ARE you?

  48. Osi says:

Alan sorry I had a lot of mistakes there that can. I meant to say:

Arsene isn’t an amateur young manager COPY other peoples’ ideas.

  49. Alan S says:

Thats very much a chicken and egg scenario Osi, personally i think it is ultimately the decision of Wenger as to the types of player that comes into the club.

IMO, Wenger seen how we were played off the park by successive Spanish teams in Europe, be it Deportivo, Valencia or Bacelona and wanted to adpot a model of more technically superior players to retain the ball and tire the other team out to replace our gladitors in midfield winning the ball quickly and releasing one of our front 4 with devastating speed.

So, this to me, is why we play our current style, and i do believe that this is firmly Wengers choice, no one elses. Again, i think this was done mainly as a means of cracking the European dilemma, which in a way shows Wengers priority over the last few years, has been on Europe rather than domestic success.

Such is the joy of football though, in that everyone is entitled to an opinion!!

  50. Alan S says:

Also, Yes, Wenger is an innovator not an imitator… however all that he has done and is doing with Arsenal bears a very similar resemblance to his time at Monaco…

  51. Osi says:

Alan I’m not disagreeing with you when you say he liked ball player type of player, but then I disagree with you’re conclusion. Arsene since I knew HIM when he was at Monaco, Arsenal now has always shown he likes players who are technically very good. If you wanna be convinced looked at his buys especially the most expensive ones!

The models you’re talking about were always there as well to be copied, as you suggested, so WHY would he choose to copy now and not before.

Then even if HE bought the players you cannot argue that he wants them to pass pass until in front of an empty net. that’s wrong.

Arsene believes in passing football and don’t see like long balls sure, but he also train his players to cross and everything else. The problem is that players who don’t have confidence tend to pass pass.

Another point, Arsenal’s current style of play isn’t too far from old one and when some counter-acting players like Theo, Nasri, Bendtner are included the style looks more like the old one because of the speed, running and forward thinking included.

  52. Osi says:

    RICO you said:
“I think Wenger is obsessed with the CL and with Barcelona….”

    that statement is highly ambiguous?

Let me see with that I agree with in that line.

Is he obsessed with CL? Possibly, yes. or definitely yes. It depends of how you define that term OBSESSION. Since he’s a manager and won everything with club except the CL it’s natural and ambitious to be wanting to win it or even been obsessed with, and won’t blame him for that. But, I blame him if he sacrifice every other possibility to win it.

the second part of that line.. Obsessed with BARCA?
I’m lost there? He definitely likes and cherishes Barca business model, the Academy, and their commitment to play football no matter what. But, he’s not obsessed with their style that pass indefinitely. He’s always said he wants to play quick passing football but not the patient type of Barca.

  53. rico says:

Osi, the reason i think he is obsessed with Barca, Barca are with doubt the best side in the world right now, evryone ‘thinks’ we play the Barca way and I believe Wenger thinks to beat them would make us the best.

Also, why does he keep nicking their young players on a freebie?

I think Barca have followed us in their style of football, but, that style was back when we had the likes of Anelka, Petit, Overmars etc etc and then, Henry, Pires, Freddie…

They have gone and with it went our great game….

We keep trying to play it these days but the players we have are not up to it ….

  54. rico says:

Maybe the word ‘obsession’ is too strong, but i think he has a bee in his bonnet about both 😉

  55. Osi says:

RICO I don’t believe that we’re close to winning the CL yet especially that all best clubs involved in it have unlimited funds that allow to require the most talented, most experienced and the most ambitious players. Yes, one can argue that we can win if we just defend well, counter-attack and with intelligent management; one can also cite Porto as an example, but then if you look back you’ll see that to win it with average/good not exceptional team you need luck. Porto had their luck because they played Monaco at the final, before that their highlit was ManU elimination, and who were ManU in that time not so great and they have very disappointing few seasons in CL.

Arsenal on the hand eliminated REAL M in the quarter final and played the best team in the world at the time in the final. Had we played REal instead we couldve chance in winning it. Football ignore history unless it’s about winning.

  56. Osi says:

    Rico you said:

“Also, why does he keep nicking their young players on a freebie?”

I nick them because they know how to play football; pass, dribble, hold onto the ball, vision and patience. But he also steals from any other club that produces talented players. Look how many he nicked from French clubs.

  57. rico says:

I don’t believe we are good enough to win the CL either Osi, blimey, we are not even good enough to win the CC this season..

But, If Stan is true to his word and he really does want to take us on to bigger and better things, then maybe just a few changes in the summer will see that we are good enough…

  58. rico says:

But then they go, look at Fran Merida? He was touted to one day be better than Cesc, we got him, hardly played him and he’s now at At Madrid…..

If Denilson, Diaby and a few others can be given time when they are young, why couldn’t he?

  59. rico says:

And now, YG’s report that Bartley is considering leaving…. He’s tasted first team football with rangers, he’s done well and i bet they would love to sign him.

They weren’t afraid to play him….

  60. rico says:

    AFC.com

Bendtner – We understand importance of derby

Ahead of Wednesday’s North London derby, Nicklas Bendtner says the Arsenal players understand the intense rivalry between supporters of the two clubs.

Best you had, thats all i can add!!

  61. Osi says:

RICO i fear that frustration is turning me into a TROPHYHUNTER a la United and Chelsea or a la Evra? For the first time I’m considering the prospect of our club falling into wrong hands like Stan, Osmanov and Co.? yes they’re all after making money at all costs.

  62. Osi says:

winning everything is good and gives you purpose in life but then it’s not everything and is morally wrong to leave clubs debt ridden after being robbed by a bunch of Capitalists whose morality is all about Instrumentality, AND UTILITARIANISM. We need sustainable business model the fans shares, ensures employment and take care of community and with a takeover the club will go against all these. see my point. These are the priorities for me and everything else including trophies comes second. I don’t know about you.

  63. rico says:

‘Over almost 30 years not one director or shareholder of Arsenal has put a penny into the club itself, while they have made vast personal millions for themselves out of selling their Arsenal shares.’

So thats why they continue to sting the fans!

  64. rico says:

    Osi,

We don’t need to spend silly money, we don’t need to buy the way the chavs and citeh do, we are no longer allowed to under the new rules –

No-one is asking for us to be bankrupt etc, we are just asking for Arsenal Football Club to sell some of our dead wood and buy new, but players who can play in the posistions we need, not to play them where there is a gap.

Buy proper ready made, hard working, proud footballers who WANT to play for OUR club….

  65. Osi says:

Rico, can we not buy about 3 quality players, world class players with our savings without any need for a takeover? I think we could. We had good savings plus players that could bring some substantial money if sold so Why did we need to be taken over and compromise our business model, which although not sustainable, was on its way to be so?

  66. Osi says:

Anyway, rico, now the takeover is imminent and unavoidable and I should support my club, but I’m worried about what Stan’s way would bring us?

  67. rico says:

We can, i’m sure, and if we sell a few we could easily afford more..

but, not 30Million signings, we don’t need to waste money 😉

  68. HCAA says:

Wenger’s childish petulance towards Dalglish on Sunday was pathetic, and is enough evidence for me personally, that Arsenal would be much better off without him.

  69. HCAA says:

    Hi Rico,

Wenger displayed a total lack of class. Dalglish wasn’t the Ref, nor is it his job to lay down and surrender points to us. The pressure on him is probably greater than that on Wenger.

  70. JonJon says:

wenger just refuses to accept what is..
hes that caught up in his own belief he wont listen to anybody and he blames everyone and everything exept the reality..
if we look at in on the whole wengers blame culture has lead him to fall out with every single manager, pundit, ref, newspaper to the point where they love it when we fuck up..

hes creating a distance between us and everyone else and he needs to snap out of it and quick

  71. rico says:

Wenger always narks me HCAA, when things go wrong on the pitch he blames everyone but his players or himself – it’s annoying and embarassing, it’s about time he became a little more gracious in defeat..

Or, buy the players to make this side one that doesn’t suffer defeat, its simples!

  72. rico says:

Someone on twitter has just commented he heard a rumour about Rob Green and Upson joing in the summer…

Wait for it – both are available for free….

  73. rico says:

jj, it’s gone on too long, just like our youth project…

wenger won’t admit he gets either wrong…..

  74. JonJon says:

weve gone from being everyones favorite team to watch to everyones favorite team to watch shoot ourselves in the cock…

if a bloke thinks hes gods gift to woman and spends a few years being the town stud and breaking womens hearts then you think yeah mate your the bees knees, but then it gets to the point where hasnt give anyone a single goosebump, shiver, or tingle up the spine in 7 years then he cant exactley go around blaming the women, the beds, the clothes or whatever and expect everyone to believe hes still casa fucking nova can he

the answer obviously lies in looking in the mirror but blaming everyone but yourself doesnt change anything..

whats the word that suits this??
    denial???

  75. rico says:

jj, i have been like that for the last few hours, i am so desperate for us to smash these b’stards….

  76. JonJon says:

    north london is ours…
    its about honour, pride..
    theyve already taken three points
we must take the other three…

  77. rico says:

    AFC

Szcezeny; Sagna, Djourou, Koscielny, Clichy; Song, Diaby, Walcott, Fabregas, Nasri; van Persie

    Swampies

Gomes, Corluka, Gallas, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Huddlestone, Modric, Bale, Van der Vaart, Pavlyuchenko, Crouch.

  78. oliver says:

so jack is on the bench, diaby in his place…i understand arsene’s concerns about burnout – and suspect there may be a “message” here regarding jack’s willingness to play for england u21’s – but i don’t trust diaby, frankly…i would feel a lot better about this if i knew what to expect from him (diaby)…

  79. rico says:

oliver – jack was off against liverpool, he’s near burned out, i don’t think its much more than that to be honest……

  80. rico says:

Diaby has been due a great game for the last, goodness knows how many seasons, let’s hope he has that game tonight…

  81. oliver says:

rico, i know he is gassed and perhaps a bit jaded – not surprising since he is still a teenager…but i think he can cope in this atmosphere – i think he can cope better than diaby…can you see arsene allowing diaby to sleepwalk through 65 minutes while we chase the game? i can, quite easily.

  82. oliver says:

chamakh did not even make the bench i see. didn’t he score in the ems fixture? i know that was ages ago – and that was virutally his last goal for us – but it’s not like he has had much of an opportunity to get on a run of from. or we have ever tried to play to his strengths since robin returned.

  83. oliver says:

eboue did not make the bench either, i note. squil and gibbs are the only defensive cover. jens as second gk, nikki as the other striker. three midfielders in rambo, jack and arsh…

  84. rico says:

I don’t that answer, until the end 🙁

Just hope wenger has made the right call….

    catch up at h/t….

  85. rico says:

jj, its almost like theo has freedom to roam… he’s certainly getting about a bit 😉

hi agag, its not good for the heart….

  86. rico says:

agag, that is where we lack leadership, at the back… TV would be calming them but our unit is either young or inexperienced….

  87. agirlagunner says:

    You need a six-pack, JJ!

rico, I wish they would just hold on to the ball, for crying out loud. We’re soaking up too much pressure, and it’s not unthinkable for the spuddies to score!!

  88. JonJon says:

ive had a six pack 😉
    im on my 7th..

we doing ok will but its one end to the other…
    nerve racking..

  89. Steve Palmer says:

if we stop giving the ball away we will do a lot better our players not moving enough, not looking for spaces just waiting as usual for the perfect pass

  90. JonJon says:

    no defence from either team
    its just attack attack attack
weve finished better but if we dont keep banging them away this half we could be in trouble..

judging by the tactics theres plenty of goals left
and bales not come out for 2nd half

    ches fucked him.. lol

  91. agirlagunner says:

Not exactly, Will. The Spuds are trying a lot of speculative ones. Huddlestone’s was a great goal (eeek).

  92. oliver says:

jack’s on for diaby…he (diaby) had an assist on samir’s goal, but one of the reasons spurs were able to attack so much is that he (diaby) could not keep the ball…not that he was the only one. hopefully jack will help settle things down.

  93. rico says:

Why, why make that lunge, why not run for it then drop off, lemmon had already overplayed his ball…

  94. oliver says:

that goal was coming…shame it was from the penalty spot…we couldn’t keep the ball and couldn’t deal with the pressure they put on us.

  95. oliver says:

final whistle just went…3-3…we had a sniff right at the end, but couldn’t do anything with it…

  96. rico says:

I’m off guys, gutted we couldn’t hold on but at least the bastards didn’t beat us…

And, at least we turned up tonight, but still some massive mistakes cost us….

    nighty all, til tomnorrow……

  97. oliver says:

frankly, we didn’t deserve more than a point. the second half performance was cowardly and a spurs goal was depressingly inevitable…

we don’t have anyone in the squad that knows what it takes to see these tense moments out, calm the other players down and take the sting out of the opposition…

btw, we’re now in 3rd place…chelsea brushed brum aside 3-1…i would imagine they had little fuss there.

  98. JonJon says:

    is anyone suprised??
    is anyone bothered anymore

    and oh yeah mr wenger..
    we are third…………..

  99. Steve Palmer says:

Now will you believe me that we need a goalkeeper a new manager, and a couple of strikers and of course defenders, no heart and no bottle, another pathetic display

  100. AlanS says:

    Couldn’t agree more Jon Jon

I’m started watching the game getting ready to b disappointed, then Walcott scored and i thought… wait a minute, maybe… just maybe….. Ohh, VDV has equalised…. Typical Arsenal

I just want to scream they are so frustrating. Second half was all Spurs.

Whats even more annoying is that i thought Sagna/Song & Fabregas all did well.

    Where are this team going????

  101. Merlin96 says:

    Bolton away
    Stoke City away
    ManU at home
    Villa at home
    Fulham away.

I can’t see us getting more than 3 points with this bunhc of bottlers; which means 4th…..or 5th????
