Lack of summer activity about to kick in….

The Solheim Cup has reached the final day. It’s singles day and it’s all got a bit feisty. Still, it’s far more interesting than watching or discussing football.

The game isn’t fair anymore, referees are stealing the show and mainly, for all the wrong reasons….

There are plenty of questions that Mike Dean should be made to answer but somehow I doubt he will. After a performance like he had yesterday, he should be dumped into the Championship at best, but then do any clubs in the lower leagues deserve to be officiated by such an incompetent man?

It looks like Francis Coquelin is about to spend some time out injured, joining Welbeck, Rosicky, Wilshere and Mertesacker. Gabriel will be missing for three matches too so all is looking gloomy.

The big German could be back soon, the others though are out long term. There’s been no confirmation about Coquelin but rumours are flying around suggesting its four weeks.

So that leaves us with Arteta, Flamini or Bielik.

One of those is too young and lacks experience, another is too old and will struggle to play two matches a week and the final one should have been long gone imo… Calum Chambers is an option perhaps but a risk when one considers our defensive problems.

Losing Coquelin was what most of us feared and all we can do is hope his injury isn’t too serious and he’s back real soon because we are really going to miss him. His absence would prove just why all summer, Arsenal fans were crying out for another player like him..

Arsene Wenger took a big risk neglecting that central midfield position and should Coquelin be sidelined for a few weeks, that risk is going to bite the manager good and hard in his backside….

Or maybe he’ll recall Isaac Hayden from his loan spell and get lucky again like he did with Francis Coquelin earlier this year…

Back to the golf – go Europe……

    Morning all.
Devil, I’m glad you enjoyed that and appreciated it…..im rapt it wasn wasted by all 🙂
    Same old, same old.
Rico, good to have you back and hats off to Wath who did a great job in a tough period.
It’s not much fun being a Gooner at present, but it could always be worse…..we could be stuck supporting those cheating shits in Blue.
For the first time since I’ve known them, even my few Chav mates are embarrassed at the result and influence Dean had.
The normal banter I normally cop just didn’t happen.
    That says a lot.

  2. Goonster says:

Last season poor old chambers was being roasted out on the wings against Swansea. Everyone and their mama could see the poor lad was struggling but what did wenger do??? Yeah exactly left him on till it was too late. Chambeers was walking a tight rope hence has to be hurled off. Top class coach my ass. He’s finished washed up and senile.

  3. Luznic says:

Morning to the Lady of the house, welcome back and thanks Wath for feeding us daily except for Tuesday as I missed my daily dose of HH. A question to all English people in the house, do you think there is corruption in the game in England? After what Dean did yesterday and has been doing I am inclined to think so

  4. Lee says:

Wenger’s squad Russian roulette starting to kick in yet again!

I mean Arsenal’s already injured to be out for longer that first diagnosed….. no I’m not having that!

Our only DM worthy of playing in this team injured…..really, never saw that happening! Nor did the bloke on £8m p.a who’s supposed to be a football manager! Un-fucking-believable!!!

  5. potter says:

Doesn’t mean much when they tot up the points at the end though. Someone once said that you can ‘t win the league before Christmas but you sure as hell can lose it. It’s been made a lot more difficult now Behind on points and losing players hand over fist.

  6. Goonster says:

Howdy luznic yeah there is but only against arsenal I guess. So the wengerites say. Everyone knwe what to expect from dean. Come on we all knew but where was the leadership. Where was the manager? ? It’s easy blaming the officials but have you done your homework??? A top class manager ll have told his team what to expect prior to the game. Yet nothing was done. Let’s stop blaming refs and see where the main problem lies.

  7. Lee says:

The whole Arsenal gravy train is far to comfy for all aboard….also rans in the PL and CL maybe another cup run?!?! Still everyone is on a load of money to get the coveted top four trophy!

Where’s the drive and ambition ??

  8. rico says:

Goonster, as already said, Wenger gets a lot wrong but taking that game yesterday in isolation, had Dean done his job, Gabriel would have stayed on the pitch.

Yes, I blame the officials 100% for yesterday’s loss..

  9. AndrewH says:

Apt sentiments Rico. Re ‘about to kick in’ from title. I’m not sure the six changes for the Euro game kept our quality up?! If we can’t do that for a Euro game away what chance do we have for midweek. Season destroyed by our glorious leader before it started.

  10. Goonster says:

Rico am sorry I won’t. You take responsibility for fucking up. I don’t fucking blame dean. If we had a plan we won’t be in that fix. Ask yourself this….how many chances did we create yesterday?? How many shots on goal let alone on target?? Rico you all act like if we had 11 vs 11 we still would have won that game. Come on maam. It’s arsene fucking wenger for crying out loud. He ll find a way to fuck it up.

  11. ScottfromOz says:

    MG, YA reckon?
    Crap.
He’s have loved the profits just as much as Stan does.
The Russian….ex Utd fan and you think he’d move heaven and earth for us to win trophies?
    Mmmmm.

  12. Luznic says:

Howdy Goonie, I dislike Wenger, I am only enduring for this season and next till he just leaves, I don’t comment on his matters anymore…..he is our doom if he is allowed beyond 2016/2017, I am ashamed for him Mourinho keeps beating him in the EPL, if Wenger buys us a messi I don’t think I will still like him, he is done, I will coach a team against him and still beat him, I can predict his tactics and I had a laugh when he bought no outfield player because I was expecting it, someone needs to ask him about cohesion, is that guy cohesion who he keeps talking about injured, 2 losses on the bounce, how many more heart aches do we have to suffer before 1000 people watch Arsenal play per week?

  13. potter says:

Luznic I am convinced of it. Have been a long time. However as a club we don’t help ourselves. Arsenal as a club is run as an old boys club but they have seen their traditional ways overtaken by money. We once had a man that could operate in the new world but the rest closed ranks and got rid of him.Since then our political star has waned and our fortunes with it.

  14. ScottfromOz says:

Stan, at least I can make my own mind up on things and even offer something different each day.
You say Arsene is stale and predictable……….

  15. Goonster says:

So I guess when we lost to villa 2 seasons ago it was the ref too huh?? What about west ham?? We just turn up expecting the opposition to fold. No way some of these teams actually have good players now. They won’t lie die for us any team anymore let alone a wenger led team. We ll lose more games. Maybe this time we ll go into double figures. I ll love to hear the excuses then.

  16. Goonster says:

Luznic buddy Pardew has bested maureen more times than I can count and with different teams. Different teams my man. Alan fucking Pardew!!!! What does that say about our dear leader???

  17. rico says:

    Thanks Mg.

Goonster, none of us know what the outcome would have been 11 v 11 until Santi went. But unlike you, I thought we were matching the Chavs until Gabriel was sent off…

  18. Goonster says:

Each to his own maam each to his own. I ll be waiting for your excuses next time we play another top team. Oh wait united is just a few weeks away.

  19. rico says:

Goonster – which part of my ‘taking yesterday’s game in isolation’ did you not grasp?

I too think AW is past it but I get no satisfaction from name calling each day. It’s boring and hardly likely to change things….

  20. ScottfromOz says:

    Lee, I do.
    And?
There’s a few on here who “rinse, repeat” as you love to say, as they do it each and every day.
    To what end?
Have you ever read me comment Wenger should’ve left 18 months ago?
I’ll bet Rico and others back me on it, yet Stan and a few others want to say I defend Wenger and never say a bad word about him?
That’s a crock of shit but a lack of imagination stops them seeing the facts.
Equally, I’ve said often enough Wenger failed dismally this last TW, but some just pass that over because ignorance is seemingly bliss.
As I said on yesterday’s post, some people just feel the need to argue, even with people who, in general, agree with them.
Disagree once and they turn on you.
    Why?
Maybe Stan and a few others can answer.
His beats regiment is to ask about a game two years ago FFS.
    That’s brilliant.
Maybe you tell me what Wenger did wrong yesterday, and please leave the TW out of it.
That’s a problem that’ll cost us over the season for sure, and I’ve said that repeatedly but again, plenty let that pass.

  21. Goonster says:

Maam he had all summer to sort this out. All fucking summer. Am not from Islington or England but am also enraged. How do you expect me to air my grievances??? Am fucking miffed. We had a chance maam. 2 players just fucking 2. We have 200 million in the bank. We have the best training facilities in the land plus we actually have good players. God in heaven we do. Santi is a magician ozil is the best 10 in the world. Sanchez ( even though he’s not my cup of tea ) is a world class player. Rambo we know how good he is. Now the question is why do we fail constantly??? We ve had samir fabregas ashavin van Persie et al in the past and still the same problems persist. Now ask yourself this what is the only constant we have here(the others are variables mathematics term) ARSENE WENGER. He is the problem and until we realize it we ain’t going no where.

  22. Luznic says:

@ Potter on the money issue I think the fans needs to demand value for their money at the next AGM next month, but what do I know I am just an armchair goober, sir red nose has been very very dirty, Mourinho a schemer, maybe its time Arsene fooking Wenger gets his hands dirty for 9million he should @Goonie, Pardew is someone I detest but the kind of drive he has given to Crystal palace is all we ask Arsene to see in our boys, Pardew is always primed against Joe say, I bet That little dirty man hates him……

  23. Goonster says:

Scott when ENRON the gigantic American firm went down who was taken into custody? When titanic sank who went down with it. Am sorry the manager has to take all the blame. Ian wright merse Adams and even viera can’t all be wrong mate. Come on. Someone has to be held responsible.

  24. Goonster says:

Luznic buddy Pardew just knows how to get under maureen’s skin. Twice in newscastle and now at a home with palace. Yet we can’t muster a single shot on target. Hahahahahaha God help me.

  25. rico says:

    I’ll back you there Scott…

Goonster, not really sure why you are telling me all that, I’ve been wring posts about it for five years… I know Wenger is getting a lot wrong but until Kroenke is more ambitious, we are stuck with him. You shouting your opinions on here won’t change anything….

  26. Goonster says:

I said it before I ll say it again if he was that good a manager how come no other team wanted him in europe after monaco fired his ass. Where did we get him from?? And what was the response from the media. ARSENE WHO?? He turned us around they say. Laughable. GG only lost one game and won the league at arnfield. If wenger gets a statue then GG deserve a stadium!!!

  27. ScottfromOz says:

Tell you something funny……plenty tell us how good Joe Say is, Fergie was etc etc.
Never once have they lost a game that wasn’t because of officials, but hey, let’s not let that fact get in the way of things lol.

  28. Lee says:

But Scott the “rinse repeat” comment is so apt, this shit happens all the fucking time,to be precise every season!

Wenger’s gross neglect of the squad, it’s boring and repetive!
The chain needs breaking, time to get a new manager get shot of this dinosaur….

  29. Goonster says:

Now it’s kroenke not the ref maam. Lol. I guess kroenke was on the pitch last night or dugout. I still maintain even if we had a sheik take over the arsenal and hands us a blanky cheque to sign anyone. We ll get messi ronaldo and suarez and still come 4th because he ll mess those players all up. Kroenke and ref. Who’s next?? Us fans I guess 😀

  30. Luznic says:

@Scott rinse, repeat is what Arsene does best, we will be here September 20 2016 deliberating about what could have been again, because our dictator manager never agrees with the fans, he said ” I brought in Ozil, Sanchez and Cech, yes I am happy with my transfer” he brings in a star player every season by the time he brings in the last piece of the jigsaw Ozil will be 31 and finished, I know you don’t support Wenger and you blame him for the TW debacle but only Wenger doesn’t see what he has been doing wrong, in his little world he thinks everything is alright and that hecks the fans but does Wenger care? Who will sack him? He dares Kronke every season, and Kronke says give me the UCL every season and you can make all the decisions, Arsene is an headache and its OK for people to say how they feel about it, Arsene is the king of rinse, repeat and he goes a step higher he lies again

  31. rico says:

Jeeze Goonster, is this the same manager Real tried to sign for many years?

He’s spent now but he deserves a lot of credit for plenty of good things he’s done for Arsenal. But I guess you can’t recognise that because it’s all too easy to spout the negative…

Like I said, until Kroenke acts, we are stuck with Wenger…

  32. ScottfromOz says:

Lee, I’m not suggesting it isn’t right, I used it because so many rinse, repeat the same bloody comments every day, or even every post.

  33. Goonster says:

Hahahahahahah and why do you think he didn’t go??? He ll have made more money and managed world class talents. Why didn’t he go maam 😀 because he ll be found out after 2 games. He ll be fired and disgraced. Why leave a very comfy no pressure job for the toughest job in world football. Come on rico 😀

  34. rico says:

Goonster, I give up with you, you pick and choose bits from comments just to have an argument.

You really seem to be struggling to understand my comments.. Quite bizarre really as I thought my views on Wenger were crystal clear…

  35. AndrewH says:

Unfortunately nothing fans say will change anything. We are stuck. It’s a shame that people are forced to say the same things. But when things arent addressed, you either say nothing or the same thing. It’s boring, but so frankly is the way Arsenal are run.

  36. Goonster says:

He probably would have won the only title he’s yet to win. He’s a wimp that’s why. A leech and the sooner he fucks off the better. Madrid indeed hahahahahahaah rico you crack me up maam.

  37. Lee says:

Scott Barca knocked the chavs out of the CL….the chavs should of had at least two penalties and Barca player on a yellow took his shirt to celebrate his goal so he’s hound of been sent off!!!

My gripe is not about yesterday it’s Wenger and his antiquated managerial skills.

Taxi for Wenger! Anyone know a good black cab driver?

  38. Luznic says:

@Goonie we know Wenger is full of himself, but you know if you can’t beat him, just join him, two weeks ago he obviously told us not in his words but my interpretation, what choice do you guys have you either support your club or nothing, I am an Arsenal supporter through and through, I don’t need a fool like Wenger telling me what to do, so I will support Arsenal but my feelings towards what has happened and will happen till he leaves won’t be that strong and I won’t be bothered, I wasn’t bothered when he brought in Nobody, I was laughing because he is a man we can all predict that’s how the man who won a double for us twice has downgraded his status

  39. Goonster says:

Andrew H Neville chamberlain said nothing and we had 55 million war dead in 1945. We have to say something we can’t just sit idly by and watch our club bleed to death. No way. We have to keep talking and I for one won’t stop.

  40. Goonster says:

Luznic that guy is a fraud with a smile of a silent assasin. I actually admire him. Wish I could get my hands on a job like that. Men I ll be made for life 😀

  41. Lee says:

Why leave a cushy £8m pa job to go and manage the biggest team on the planet that demand/expect trophies every season and don’t suffer failure or mediocrity?? I can’t think why he didn’t do it…….

  42. ScottfromOz says:

Lee, has Joe Say or Fergie ever conceded they were beaten by a better side?
    Never.
Yet people whinging that we blame officials say they’re the type of manager we should have.
    It’s funny to me.
Nothing chances until Stan goes and I don’t care what else changes, or who else manages.
    Profits come first.

  43. Goonster says:

You said it lee 😀 Hahahahahah can’t believe rico fell for that 😀 come on maam. I look up to you. Don’t let me down now 😀

  44. ScottfromOz says:

The question on Real was by Stan asking which other club would want him, so when Rico answers with the biggest club in the world, suddenly you all change tack.
It’s hard to argue when the goal posts keep changing.

  45. Lee says:

Is it the owner? I’m not so sure….. there’s enough money in the kitty to strengthen the team! Did the syrup tell Wenger not to buy a SINGLE outfield player????? I’m not so sure…..

  46. Goonster says:

Scott we made him what he is today. Did Madrid want him back in 06/07 that’s my question. Tell me you knew him back then scott 😀 be sincere 😀

  47. Goonster says:

Lee there’s enough quality in that team to sustain a title charge. Like rico pointed out we matched the chavs yesterday. We actually did even though we had no penetration or shot on target. Against manure too. We ve beaten bayern barca and inter milan. So why do we keep coming up shorts? ?? Why?? Because we re so fucking predictable. That’s why.

  48. Lee says:

Kroenke sanctioned the Sanchez and Ozil purchases why when there is funds available would’ve say don’t buy a SINGLE outfield player?

It’s Wenger that doesn’t agree how much teams a paying for players so he decided not to buy.

Doesn’t mind being paid so handsomely himself does he? Double standards in my book!

  49. scottfromoz says:

    Lee, that’s my opinion.
Forget the decisions on a daily basis.
Wengers job goals must be to reach top 4 and anything else is a bonus, but profits are the all important factor.
Tell my a new manager would mean Stan changes his directive and I may change my mind.
    I just don’t see it.

  50. scottfromoz says:

    Why Stan?
You say he’s a fraud, old and senile.
Why would you want to read the ditherings of such a person?
If he came out and told you the Yank did stop the club pushing for trophies, you wouldn’t believe it anyway, so what do you want to read??
Why is it do you think we never hear from the Yank?
    Why??????

  51. Goonster says:

Scotty oz a new manager ll bring out the best in our players. Make them believe and add the right players not yell us there were no players out there to improve us. Not make substitution at the 70th minute every game. Not tell the players to pass when they are through on goal. Come on mate. Please see our angle here. No one is trying to pick a fight with you. It’s fucking obvious another manager ll work wonders with these lads.

  52. Lee says:

Surely a team that wins things is more profitable than one that doesn’t?
If we had a proper manager, a manager with drive, ambition someone that wanted to win things this squad would be miles better off.
Wenger is a busted flush. It’s time to move on.

  53. Goonster says:

Lee hahahahaha that’s a new one 😀 busted flush 😀 trust me am saying that henceforth 😀 busted flush. Hahahahahah

  54. andrewh1313 says:

Goonster, not sure if you thought I was disagreeing? I’m saying supporters are justified coming out with the tired old same thing. Boring yes, but its the truth. So what else is there to say. Very soon AW will be bemoaning injuries and that will be the last straw. Bad luck, but we always get it. Its Wenger that is full of tired old clichés. Year after year after year.

  55. Goonster says:

Lee even garry monk my man. A garry monk won’t whimper out against maureen. No way. I love that smug bastard. He has a cold exterior I like.

  56. scottfromoz says:

Guys, this all blew up because a few of us stated yesterday’s result was all on Dean.
Yesterday’s result, not all of our bad results we’ve had, and that will again have this season.
I said at the start of the season that if he didn’t strengthen, I’d not defend him.
However, I will not blame him when it isn’t his fault just because it’s popular with others.
Stan, I see your angle, but you refuse to accept mine so fairs, fair.
If he goes, I’ll support the new guy 100%.
If he fails, I will definitely not be happy, nor tell people I told you so.
I wants what’s best for the club.
Sorry if you don’t like it, but though I’ll criticise Wenger, and I do, I’ll not disrespect the man.
    Never.
It’s why I wanted him gone after the first Cup win….head held high and the fans would’ve been kinder to him.

  57. retsub1 says:

I am one of Wengers biggest fans, but probably agree he is approaching the end. Failure to provide cover for Le Coq was pretty poor in my opinion and we will suffer for it. That said Wenger is without any doubt the most successful manager in Arsenals history (with respect to Herbet Chapman). I have little doubt without his stewardship we wouldn’t be where we are today. To call him an idiot etc is plain childish. Sure he won’t get it right all the time, but please tell me who does? Comments about not being able to beat West Ham etc are very short sighted. Liverpool and City lost too. The only difference is they spent a squillion quid doing it.

Yesterday was plain and simply down to Dean and his assistants. In my opinion he was blatantly incompetent or even worse cheating ( didn’t I read somewhere he has reffed about 20 Arsenal games and we have won about3 of them hmmmmmmmm). Who knows what would have happened if he had got it right yesterday. I don’t think the scummy Blues looked any better than we did.

Sorry for ranting, but lastly Gabriel should never have been sent off for his part in the handbags incident yesterday regardless of the cave mans antics. I see a lot of people saving how naive he was etc and rightly so. On the other hand I applaud him for sticking up for his partner Kos. In my opinion this team has been lacking a leader on the pitch for years and it’s good to see someone showing some passion. Many times in the past 10 men Arsenal teams have stuck together and ground out results

  58. Goonster says:

Fair enough scotty oz 😀 I ll tone it down won’t insult him any more but we need a new hand. One that is not afraid to try new things.

  59. rico says:

Exactly Scott, I’m done with AW myself but I won’t ever forget all the good he has done in the past. I’m just really cheesed off that he hasn’t pushed on instead of standing still…

  60. scottfromoz says:

One question and yes, it’s about the officials……..
Their first goal……I counted three players well offside.
    That includes the scorer.
Did I miss an Arsenal guy in there somewhere?

  61. Goonster says:

That’s why most fans are mad maam. Plus his total disregard for the fans plight. You can imagine traveling to Zagreb only to witness that show of shame. Plus we only seem to turn up when the pressure is off. Monaco last year, bayern the year before and the one that hurts most Milan in 2011. Why rico why??? A little bit of effort and we just might have done better.

  62. scottfromoz says:

    Rico, it frustrates us all.
2 players and I reckon we win the League in a canter.
    50 million, maybe 70.
Im still stunned it didn’t happen.
I know the cash was there and available, but I just wish the yank would give Wenger an uliptimatum……..win or else.

  63. rico says:

Lee, I agree re Klopp and Ancelotti but I’d love to know why Kroenke clearly doesn’t think so. Why has our major shareholder continued to support Wenger? That’s the answer I’d love to know….

  64. Goonster says:

No one is asking for the league title every season but don’t be out of the running by December. Make it difficult to beat you and play the right players in thier rightful position. If one player isn’t killing it hurl his ass off and replace him that breeds complacency. No one ll knock him if he does the simple things correctly. In this Era of sugar daddies footy we don’t expect to win the league annually. Just compete for fuck sake.

  65. scottfromoz says:

Rico, Wenger is a safe bet to make top 4 on a relatively tight budget, so why take a chance?
That’s my tip on Stans line of thinking.
He doesn’t need the club to do any better than top 4,
    He doesn’t care.

  66. Joaquim Moreira says:

In England the referees are not classified? Does not exist in games, someone who assigns rating to a referee? There is no possibility of a player being penalized a posteriori by incorrect attitudes “not seen” by the referee at the real time?

  67. Gdna says:

Gm all, the team played well yesterday, which team would have won with 11 v 11 is hard to predict, but Arsenal was not being outplayed. Not trying to get in the AW debate, but i have to defend the the Yank dude Kroenke, an American business entrepreneur who own multiple sports organisation would hardly in my opinion go against AFC improving the playing staff, when he knows the more Arsenal wins it the more the club gets attractive thus getting more endorsements. Its easy to single him out because he is hardly around or people might hate him because of his other failing sports franchise, but i think he trust AW and Ivan and will always approve their recommendations. To blame him for not be supportive in the playing staff is wrong, 42 mil was wasted on Ozil and he approve it, the last transfer window 40 mil would improve the squad and i honestly think he didn’t have a problem with the club spending it. He gets a lot of bad name but our failings squarely lies at AW door.

  68. Tai says:

Scott, you got energy and plenty of it….I doff my hat.

I’ve seen exactly why it’s always easy for refs to shortchange Arsenal…they have a group of fans, who’d rather turn on the manager than squarely take it up on the FA and any set of idiots they chose as officials.

It should be heartbreaking for a manager, whose fans would blame for the overtly glaring mistakes Mike Dean made. Was Chelsea any better than Arsenal in the first half? I didn’t notice it…did our team crumble when they were a man down? Didn’t notice it.

Blame the manager where he did wrong…not on yesterday’s result. Shaw broke his leg in Holland, no one blamed LVG for that …any other left back to take his place until January will be certainly a step-down. If Cech gets injured right now, we all know Ospina is a step-down. I’d blame the manager where he didn’t sign quality in every position not that he didn’t have players of equal quality in every position. Le Coq proved too good to be anybody’s understudy…and finding a player of same quality needed splashing cash…and splashing just for the bench is usually tricky!

  69. Goonster says:

Hahahahahah dna don’t start now my man. I don’t want to day dream about spanish beauties 😀 I have a thing for Puerto Rican chics. You met any yesterday?

  70. scottfromoz says:

Tai, I get the frustration fans feel.
    I am frustrated.
I just try to apportion blame to the right source.
The will to defend Wenger is a lot lighter now than ever before, but again, no point sticking the boot in when things go wrong that he has no control over.
Lets hope Palace spank the Souds now!!

  71. Wavy says:

Justice or injustice? Back to the Mike Dean tribute show, or how I fucked up BT kept the chavs in the title race! Issue! Nobody, so far as I’m aware has made any comments about any retrospective action that may be taken against the Costa assault prior to the Brazilian barrage! According to Howard Webb during the BTshit broadcast, he claimed that if Dean, when he submits his report that he saw the incident between Kos and dirty Diego, no further action will be pursued by the FA as Dean will have been deemed to have ‘dealt with it at the time’ and presumably thought it was an ok challenge! So, despite all the ensuing furore that has followed and the general condemnation of the dirty twats dubious behaviour, tacitly the FA will condone it! Now what does that tell us about our governing body? Sadly nothing we didn’t know already that they are a body of spineless, gutless, useless overseers of the beautiful game! They too need dealing with! A bit of jump but, we pride ourselves on our per suit of the “corrupt” individuals at FIFA, I suspect we wouldn’t have to dig too deep to find similar forms of corruption from our governors? Dean’s behaviour is maybe part of the tentacles that now ‘control’ the EPL! Makes you wonder, doesn’t it?

  72. Simon Ngulube says:

Welcome back Rico, if we remember very well, Wenger came out publicly stating that every year there are four trophies he fights for and every year he wins one of them and for the past two years he has been winning two of the four or five trophies he competes in every year, FA Cup and Qualification for CL.

Now for a manager to come out like that, it means this is what the board asks him to achieve….stupid objectives to supporters and very profitable to Stan and Wenger.

Wenger, has since not said anything about trophies….so I suppose his goals and objectives are the same.

Now here we are as supporters expecting something that neither the board or the manager wants…does that make sense?

Do you think Wenger is under any pressure?..not at all…he is not and he will never be unless the circumstances change.

Things can only change if the board will change which is unlikely.. ..

From what I see change can only come from supporters…if we really claim that we care about the team and the name Arsenal, then we have to mobilise ourselves and do something.

Making noise on social networks will not change anything. We need to make the right organized noise and directed to the right people.

As it stands…we will moan and nothing is going to happen, the American will make his profits and Wenger his millions year in and year out…

  73. Gdna says:

LA is a more marketable City than St Louis Missouri. Its no so much to do with big stadium. Most top player will never move to Missouri, you have to got to visit Denver and Missouri and you will see exactly why the Nuggets and Rams struggle.

  74. Goonster says:

Wavy sad but it’s true I don’t think any further actio be taken but mark my words. Hes a mark man now. He ll be targeted by refs and opposing players alike. He ll get a lot of red cards this season. The refs be out for him so ll fans and players alike. He has dug his own grave yesterday a he ll lie in it. What a cnut.

  75. Wavy says:

Goodie I think you are right about, no action and, I hope you are right about dirty Diego being targeted by both officials, fans and especially big burly defenders alike. In fact I hope his life is made a total misery. He will have earned the just rewards for being such a CHEATING BASTARD!

  76. Wavy says:

Sorry Stan, you are hardly a goodie! More of a goonie! Or your Sunday name Goonster! iPad error, not deliberate, honest.

  77. Tai says:

Now you’re finally talking, Goonster…let’s face real monsters of yesterday and turn to Wenger at the appropriate time. For me, just two idiots – Costa and Dean!

  78. Gdna says:

Spread the word and please vote.

‘After many poor decisions that go against Arsenal when Mike Dean is refereeing the game, it is time that we get an inquiry to his ability to referee Arsenal games,’ the petition read.
‘Major incidents have occurred in recent and past games that show he is inept at refereeing at this level now.

‘The recent events at Chelsea V Arsenal (19/09/15) highlight this where two Arsenal players were dismissed while Diego Costa the opposition player made four straight red card incidents and was shown one yellow card only.

‘Also the incident where Mike Dean celebrated for the opposition, when they scored a goal, this was in the Arsenal V Tottenham Hotspur fixture (26/02/2012).’

The petition is looking for 25,000 supporters to force the FA into an inquiry.

  79. Goonster says:

I have already signed it dna but as with everything arsenal it ll fall on deaf ears. We have no cojones as a club. No power broker. No one to stand up for us. Dein left and took the soul of arsenal with him.

  80. Simon Ngulube says:

Can someone send us a clip where that idiot celebrated a goal against Arsenal? Then I will begin to question the integrity of the FA itself. It’s weird that they allow such an individual refereeing games, let alone involving Arsenal?

  81. Luznic says:

Good morning everyone, two days after the match, I am still hurting with Dean’s stupidity, I still maintain there is a corruption in the English league that the premier league/ FA are trying to cover up, 3 red card offences for a yellow card, that’s quite a bargain made there, if the English game was fair there should be an inquiry into that officiating

  82. tsgh says:

goonie, did you see the BVb vs B04 game…

P.E.A and BVB are absolutely unstoppable.
That kid Julian Weigl is proving to be the best DM so far this season across Europe.

    Kramer, Brandt and Kampl

  83. Luznic says:

Morning Ginge, watched your BVB yesterday and what I was wondering was why Arsenal couldn’t play like this, where was Arsene when BVB signed Mkytaryan (spelling) I love Arsenal but a team playing like BVB is what I want to see every day,and the commentator kept talking about how Tuchel was 10 times the tactician klopp was, Let Wenger go, get me a German tactician like Tuchel or Klopp, I would love Klopp, I like his attitude and displays on the pitch

  84. tsgh says:

Luznic- I personally don’t rate Klopp…; he never signed CB’s or DM just like someone we know earning £8m… 😉

Most BVB fans I know don’t rate Klopp tactically; but he has charisma.
We have SC19 who imo is > than Mk’tyan.

  85. tsgh says:

I consider Carlito, Conte, Tuchel, pep*, Rudi Garcia, Javi Garcia, Monk and CoCu as the most tactical managers in current football.

    Simeone is a different breed I guess…

But my fave will be Unai Emery or Carlito with Tuchel as an outsider to replace AW

Tuchel has recently stopped playing non football playing CDM like Bender in favour of Weigl and Gundogan

  86. Luznic says:

I like Monk, never thought I would like him this much, is English I think and I want him to replace Wenger, I don’t rate Conte, Cocu maybe, Pep I like but I don’t want at Arsenal but Klopp has that charisma like you said and he pushes his team something Wenger lacks right now, that drive and that little push, we have players that can win the EPL what we lack is that drive to keep going all through the season

  87. scottfromoz says:

    Morning all.
That petition must have started in Oz……I was around number 50 or so to sign.
    I believe it’s over 25,000 and counting.
The thing is, it doesn’t go far enough.
It should be demanding he never referees ANY PL game again, not just those involving Arsenal.
