Four strikers set to leave, maybe even five!! Robin learned a lot from Fabregas!

At the recent get together with Ivan Gazidis, Arsenal fans heard all about how Cesc Fabregas refused to play last summer in our pre-season fixtures despite being fit and healthy.

He was dead set on leaving and that was his way of protest.

Gazidis said that the club had learned a lot from that and such things wouldn’t happen again.

Well it seems that the one person who learned the most was our Dutchman!

No doubt he and Cesc talked a lot, why wouldn’t they, they were and still are best of friends, they took a holiday together last summer too whilst all that ‘stuff’ was going on.

Robin watched on as his good friend departed and it seems to be that he also latched onto his deceitful and underhand ways.

Yesterday afternoon, just a day before the squad travel to Asia for their pre-season mini tour, our captain ruled himself out of being  part of the travelling group.

Is he fit?

Yes, of course he is, he has been training with the rest of the players. No doubt this about staying fit and healthy and not doing anything that would deter offers from other clubs for his future services.

What a snake! What an absolute mockery he has made of the club and to be honest, the day he said:

I’ll always be a Gunner no matter what happens

We should have all realised he was off, after all, had he planned to stay, he wouldn’t have needed to say that would he, his actions would have spoken louder than those words.

Well now those actions have spoken and I hope he is gone as soon as possible…..

He’s history!!

It seems to be a straight battle between the two Manchester clubs now for his signature, let’s just hope it’s solved soon.

But, we have a future, Arsenal will always have that regardless of who leaves and now it’s about who comes in before the end of this transfer window.

One we have already signed and sealed is Olivier Giroud, our new No12 as he confirmed yesterday and he’s proud to be a Gunner:

Arsenal is a great club, the facilities are wonderful, but I feel it is a club that takes big care before signing a player, notably considering human values.

There are French players. There is also Arsène Wenger who let me understand he really wanted me.

There will always be an odd player or two who choose to leave our club in search of money trophies, but there will also always be players who want to sign for Arsenal, whether that be because of Arsene Wenger, or because of the history of our club it matters not really as long as they want to sign and stay.

Now is about moving on into another chapter in the life of Arsenal, it certainly is a case of ‘out with the old’ as Robin van Persie is old, well in footballing terms and he’s not the best at maintaining fitness so I doubt that in a few months time we’ll be wishing he was still with us.

But, as much as out with the old is real, it’s not a time for too much ‘in with the young’ (yes I know it should be new) we have enough.

According to Young Guns a few of the younger players will be travelling to Asia as well as the first team squad:

Benik Afobe, Chuks Aneke, Ignasi Miquel and Nico Yennaris, Craig Eastmond and Thomas Eisfield are all pencilled in. Eastmond apart, it is suspected that most of those players will be heading out on loan, that is of course it Arsene Wenger doesn’t keep them for the Capital One Cup.

This current squad isn’t as bad as many choose to believe, we have a good defensive unit which just needs a bit of help, something which Wenger doesn’t seem to have done but Bould and Banfield will. They may even turn Djourou into a decent defender and of course we have Kyle Bartley promoted to the first team squad.

We have a good attacking unit that might just need a bit of spark adding to it, Jack could very well be that man, maybe Wenger has other ideas – time will tell.

Then of course there is that beast of a defensive midfielder we so desperately lack, maybe there is a deal for M’Vila or Capoue almost complete. We have to hope so.

Reality is, Arsene Wenger and Ivan Gazidis will know that many fans won’t be happy about the imminent departure and that makes me wonder if they have something planned, something to keep the fans off their backs and something to deflate the dreaded confirmation that our ageing, one season wonder crock, has signed for another club.

It really is up to Kroenke, Gazidis and Wenger now, do they want a season full of turmoil, fan abuse and unrest?

Or do they want to stand by and witness every single seat within The Emirates Stadium covered with a fans bum?

After all, didn’t we move there in order to make sure we remained competitive??

The choice is theirs…..

Few Titbits:

Al Ain are reported to be in talks with Arsenal over a move for Park Chu-young, Zenit are still interested in signing Andrey Arshavin and Besiktas hope to take Chamakh on loan for a season with the view of making the deal permanent.

The fourth, well I think we all know by now who that is……

Nikki Bendtner isn’t travelling with the squad today either, so that departure number could just rise to five…..

Stan will be rubbing his hands together at just the thought of all that money coming in…..

Have a good day all……

    Morning all..

Fergie reckons it will take an offer of £30 Million to get our captain, good, that’s three players for AW.. 😉

  2. wambam says:

Form is temporary – glass is permanent

Bet he won’t manage over 20 games a season until he retires.

  3. Lewis says:

    Morning all.
Good bye and good riddance to all of them, wish they were all gone already so we could be using the transfer cash and freed up wages for strengthening the squad. Come on Arsene, for once let us the fans feel positive about going into the new season!

  4. rico says:

    😆 wambam…

Personally speaking, once he is gone, I don’t care about him one bit, just hope he wins nothing and in the mean time, we do….

  5. rico says:

    Ditto Lewis..

With those four and RvP, AW should have £40-50 million, just hope he re-invests every penny…

  6. Lewis says:

Why would he want to go to it’d anyway, their squad is no better than ours, I wouldn’t put a single one of their players in the world class bracket, so he wouldn’t be going there to play with better players.

  7. Drichi James - Uganda says:

    Dear author,
yuo are the very people who have let arsenal down. Whenever our committed and good players realize mistakes and want them sort out or else they leave, you people start your nonsense criticism on such players and think they are leaving for money. What is the climax of a football competition? not winning a trophy? is that what arsenal is aiming at? or else it is arsenal board and manager who are after money at the expense of winning trophies; self financing, young players, talent etc etc etc, you call it. The sooner you realize your mistakes that has costed the club in the last seven years, the better. Those who want to win trophies should be let go. Clichy and Nasri won last season amidst protest from people like you, why not Van Persie. Perhaps you are a shareholder but remember the concern of Alisher Usmanov, a true arsenal supporter and share holder.

  8. rico says:

    Utd Lewis?

Nor would I, don’t care really, as long as he goes asap now and this saga doesn’t drag out until DD, although it would suit the club if it did, then they won’t have time to spend the money.

But, they can’t do that, not again, get the transfers sorted, regardless of the RvP situation

  9. rico says:

    Not sure, £3M i think with a 50% sell on clause…

Got to pop out for a bit, back in a while….

  10. Adam says:

Morning Rico and all. A thought-provoking post indeed. As I said yesterday, with every act of betrayal from a player comes a reassessment by the fans of their personal relationship with the club. If van Persie really is acting in this way then the damage he does runs deeper than to his personal reputation. What does it say about his character to potential buyers? I personally doubt whether Wenger would buy a player with such a warped moral compass. I remember, when Arsenal were interested in signing one of the de Boer twins that he pulled out when they started similar nonsense with Ajax. Where money is concerned though, there is no honour. How hollow his words seem now. He’s a shoe-in for City I reckon.

  11. Sam nyang'aya says:

No single player is more than the club n rvp will come to realize many r yearning to sign for where he has refused.

  12. Scott from Oz says:

I hope we get twenty five million for him,and he trips over walking into Etihad stadium and does his bloody ankle!!!!
I’m not a indicative person, but I cannot stand liars, and he is proving to one of the highest order!!
He will fit right in with Nasri!!

  13. Scott from Oz says:

    Morning/evening all.
Have no fear,it’s only ten years til Seany Jackson arrives at the Emirates.
Two games today, two hat tricks,as he just reminded me 🙂

  14. bob d says:

people are right if they all go and theres no reson why not we should reep £40+mill,we then need defender,def/mid,creative/mid,forwardor attack/mid,then we could actualy challenge top 4 again title may be abit far just yet but we dont need a start like last season so its importent we get players in and quick,i can also see mertesacker-ramsey-walcott/gervino leaveing this window or before!!

  15. Adam says:

Scott. With form like that you might have to beat Mancini off with some sort of Australian implement. 🙂

  16. Scott from Oz says:

He will only EVER visit Manchester on away games!
Mate,it’s a million to one,but you have to dream.

  17. Scott from Oz says:

If he doesn’t get there,it won’t be for lack of trying.
It’s 7pm,bloody cold outside, yet he’s out there kicking the ball around!
He played this morning at 8am for our side, then backed up for another game when he team was short handed.
Tomorrow he has a gala day/knockout comp. involving 4 or 5 games, and uses what he will be doing tomorrow night at 7?????
He just lives and loves football.

  18. Adam says:

I was like that Scott only my playground were the streets of Highbury and Highbury Fields ( very near the stadium), I wish him all the very best for the future.

  19. Adiiii83 says:

This is where Arsenal should send a message to every player that the club comes first. If I was Wenger or Gazidis, I wouldn’t sell Van Persie, but wouldn’t give him a single game next season. Make him sit out and lose a season, then we’ll see if anybody will want him. This player behaviour has to stop, where they think that they can just leave whenever they please. Mancini did it with Tevez, sat him on his ass and made him watch and then that prick begged to play. Arsenal has to toughen up.All we do is build player’s confidence and let them go to, it’s not good enough.

  20. stevepalmer1 says:

    Morning all, nice one Rico.
Being a bit hard on Robin Rico. I feel that we believe the players should love the club the same as we do, but sadly thats not the case these days. I personally hold no resentment from players who wish to leave after all if your guvner couldn’t match the wages that another would offer then anybody with any sense would leave Robin is intelegent enough to realise this fact. He has had a hit and miss career at Arsenal and many feel he owes us for the time he has spent on the fitness table, but most of the injuries he sustained was on the behalf of Arsenal. We have excelent cover for him in Podolski and Giroud i would say that our forward line will be better this season than it was last, but these new players have to hit the ground running and with a bit of luck maybe a new face in midfield before we start the next campain, I feel that many of our youngsters will now be considered so i feel that the Arsenal recruitment plan is completed for this window, but having said that we still have the makings of a very competative squad, i have high hopes for this coming season and feel that we are almost there

  21. Scott from Oz says:

    Nice comment Steve.
Adam,he gets it from his mum.
She was a state league netballer, which is a pretty decent level here, but was too short to go any further.
    His dad,though a passionate sportsman,was very,very average!!

  22. stevepalmer1 says:

Morning Scott, nice post the other day, hopefully see many more from you. good post from you too Adam, HH is just getting better and better. Got my first twenty pounder from my new fishing venue yesterday so off to make some fresh baits have a nice day all looks like summer has just started.

  23. Scott from Oz says:

I think that we wll have a fantastic strike force even without RVP.
You know what I think of Podolski, but even the little of seen of Giroud shows a big, strong yet skilful and athletic striker.
He’s also superb in the air….could turn out a brilliant buy.
I just think we need someone capable of that killer final pass to give the front guys their chances.

  24. Scott from Oz says:

What kind of fishing do you do Steve??
I do a fair bit,but not as much as I’d like….you know what I mean!

  25. stevepalmer1 says:

Carp angling Scott i was a big carp angler 20 years ago and then found golf and the fishing took a back seat, but have now retured and the golf has been kicked back, bit more relaxing and i’m getting on a bit now.

  26. Scott from Oz says:

On my post…..well,I must say I have a new found respect for anyone who contributes, but especially Rico for coming up with them on such a regular basis….incredible!!
Even if I don’t agree with their content,i still doff my that for their originality and interest.

  27. Scott from Oz says:

We have carp here….thanks for that,by the way lol…..they’re seen as a nuisance fish here, and by law, can’t be returned to the water,ad they’re in plague proportions, and aren’t good for our natives.
I love freshwater fishing where we chase either Trout or Bass, depending on the waterway.
We do get a little bit of tv coverage of carp fishing here, amongst the plethora of angling shows.
I may have mentioned him before, but Robson Green is just brilliant with his Extreme Fishing series.
Even my wife watches it,and she hates fishing!!

  28. stevepalmer1 says:

Yeh agree there Scot she’s a right diamond thats for sure, right i’m off have a good one.

  29. Merlin96 says:

    Morning all.

Wenger said he will do everything to keep Van Persie………and qualified that statement “of course he will do anything with the interest fo Arsenal in mind..”

This kind fo Doubelspeakese…..makes you wonder whetehr he will keep or sell Van persie.

There you are, it may prove I am correct that that bald and slimy snake-oil salesman is just that…where a few months back, he placated angry Artsenal fans by blowing smkoe thru’ that orifice that the sun never shines on..”We will never sell Van Persie at any price!”

Fancy that when any of the Manchester clubs or other suitors matches Arsenla FC valuation…and off he goes with doss in the kitty to servie FY2013 20-mil Emirates mortgage payment loan…till 2031.

Apparently we need to sell 20-mil worth of players every year till 2031 “to balance the books”???

  30. Scott from Oz says:

Merlin,no CEO or manager sould ever, ever make comments like that,as it backs them into a corner.
Kind of like Mancini stating categorically that Tevez would never play under him again.
Amazing how people forget lies when they win something!!

  31. markzever says:

can’t wait to see our dear arsenal players on tuesday,we played better as a team last season,RVP’s exit would make more players step up,make walcot and gervinho to shoot instead of searching for d fake Dutchman

  32. Satan to Saint says:

    Hey Rico and all..

Robin..is not the talk of the weekend this time around. Its the Batman-Dark Knight Rises himself. I guess if Bats had lent some money to him then it might have been different.

Nvm him. So heard Chamakh on his way to Besitkas. Surely they love our players. Don’t they? Or are they subsidiary of Arsenal F.C.?

I hope the selling happens soon. Wenger has again said he won’t buy until we sell. Please sell quick quick n quicker. May be that’s why he’s on Asia tour. On showcase.

Btw, who’d be break out player this season?

  33. Scott from Oz says:

I do have one belief, and that is that from despair comes unity, and we hit the depths of despair early last season.
Losing RVP may make us look weaker on paper, but football is played on the pitch, and on the pitch,we were very good after that terrible patch early on.
    Szczesney will be better.
    Koscielny just keeps getting better.
Gervinho,I believe, will be three times better.
    Ox must be better.
    Jack will be better 🙂
    Ramsey will definitely be better,imo.
Vermaelen will be better,as he missed a lot of football in the 18 months prior to last Xmas.
Arsenal WILL Be better……yes,we need to be.

  34. Satan to Saint says:

@Wizard of Oz: Sorry but always loved that

Eisfeld has talent. And he also has nice touches but I think its a year too early for him. He still is too light weight and would become better known then he was but not break out player.

I think i think it would be Bouldy. Sorry but gut feeling. Or may be Keown.

  35. rico says:

Steve – the reason i am being harsh is because he’s sold vP is still an arsenal player, he should be travelling to Asia with the others and play part in our pre-season.

Imagine how many fans in Asia are feeling let down…

Also, what if no other club offers what we are asking and he ends up staying….

  36. Scott from Oz says:

If Van Persie is collecting a wage,he shouldve gone.
I’d have sent him over to be a water boy.

  37. rico says:

Wenger on Abou Diaby, who missed the end of the Premier League season…

“He is fit, raring to go and will be on the tour. That is fantastic news for him and us.”

Just got myself back up off the floor….

  38. rico says:

It seems Wenger has got vP out of it well Scott, he says that a number of players need to stay behind to work on their fitness…

No Lansbury in the squad, strange one…

  39. Adam says:

Rico. Diaby does have the ingredients but it’s the fitness thing again and again. I am trying, in the face of opposition, to remain positive. There will be plenty of time, once the action starts, for other emotions but, for now, we have to remain positive. Shame about Robin, but it’s hardly the first time is it? While we have Stan at the helm we will probably see it all played out again and again.

  40. Satan to Saint says:

    @Rico

Those who are going on Asia tour, most of them either need to be sold or loaned. This is show your talent tour not you can play for me if you do well tour. Remember last tie Vela performed admirably in pre season and just after that he was off. Its chance for them to get few players of our books.

i guess HL will stay this time.

    @Oz

Fingers crossed. I hope he indeed turns out to be our biggest signing.

  41. rico says:

Adam, I’m chuffed he’s fit and raring to go, if he can get through a season without missing too many games, it can only be a bonus for us…

Just shocked he is fit 😉

Jack is also over his injury according to AW, Sept/Oct return to training for him, which is more good news..

  42. Satan to Saint says:

    @Adam

I am few of the fans who think its a Diaby year. Chinese calender will have that. Btw I hope to see strong competition between Toure and Diaby when we face City.

  43. rico says:

    Arsenal squad:

    Vito Mannone
    Ignasi Miquel
    Chuks Aneke
    Thomas Eisfeld
    Marouane Chamakh
    Ryo Miyaichi
    Craig Eastmond
    Nico Yennaris
    Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
    Francis Coquelin
    Kieran Gibbs
    Alex Song
    Lukasz Fabianski
    Carl Jenkinson
    Theo Walcott
    Wojciech Szczesny
    Johan Djourou
    Benik Afobe
    Thomas Vermaelen
    Abou Diaby
    Andre Santos
    Gervinho
    Mikel Arteta
    Kyle Bartley

S2S – Not sure there are too many there who will be sold, maybe just Eastmond, Mannone and Chamakh – the other youngsters will be off out on loan…

  44. Scott from Oz says:

With Jack, best we bring him back a month too late rather than a month to soon.
    Vermaelen or Arteta for skipper??
    I know it’s a poisoned chalice,but let’s break that miserable run!!

  45. Adam says:

Satan. Me too re Diaby. Let’s be perfectly blunt here, none of us really know what’s going on with Robin, the finances or those player’s who are on the way out. This is the perfect recipe for speculation. I really hope everything rolls on quickly, that van Persie sods off along with the usual suspects and Wenger makes a few more quality buys. I know as well as anyone that this is unlikely to happen and that we will kick off in imperfect condition. But I get really peeved at the general negativity over a season that is still a month away from starting. Too much negative energy is debilitating and incredibly irritating.

  46. rico says:

Like I said in the post Adam, we haven’t got a bad squad, in my opinion we are 2/3 players away from being a squad that could really challenge and one with a much stronger and deeper bench for a change,..

Shame about Rosicky, he is out for a while yet…

  47. rico says:

I think he’d be a bit more vocal, maybe a bit more ‘roll up your sleeves’ kind of captain…

I’m really cross about RvP, but I’m sure going to miss him 🙁

  48. Adam says:

I agree Rico. The frustration is that we are always 2 or 3 players away. This is where dear old Ali Usmanov’s financial power would help no end. When you mention him so many people assume you are calling for mass spending to the brink of bankruptcy. Daft really. We just need to be pushed over the line with more financial ambition/ clout, then we could reall compete.

  49. rico says:

Agree Adam, most think we all want us to do a ‘Citeh’ – but we don’t need to, nor do we need to do what Roman had to and still does to a degree.

  50. Scott from Oz says:

Adam,I’m not sure what Usmanov will bring to the table, and that’s the only doubt I have….the unknown.
If he comes and allows the club to run the way it is,but obviously with some financial aid, then great.
I’d hate to see him become an Ibramovich, thats all.

  51. Scott from Oz says:

One thing an Usmanov takeover has going for it is that we are an established top club….no need for major repairs, just a few tweaks.

  52. rico says:

But we don’t know what Stan really brings either Scott…

If he gets on and allows/forces AW to make the few tweaks that are so needed, then good but…

    Nighty to you, rest well…

  53. Charlie George aka AK says:

    This is your Borehamwood correspondant.
The pitch is perfect, I can see the Arsenal influence.

    Afternoon AKB’s.
    Football is back!

    Did it ever go away?!!!

  54. Lee says:

Afternoon all…..it’s bloody cold back in England!! 15c colder than Espana…. 🙁
AK you got your sheepskin on as sported by all football correspondents? 😉

  55. Lee says:

Thanks Adam. I’m Macaulay Culkin for a few weeks as my wife and kids are still in Murcia.
Gotta get some food shopping catch you fine folk later on!

  56. Charlie George aka AK says:

    Half-time: Borehamwood 1-0 Arsenal.

Not a lot in it, but that one long pass from midfield, that turns our defence and creates panic, is just as common with the reserves, as it is with the first team.

  57. Charlie George aka AK says:

Henderson came closest, with a thundetbolt free-kick deflected wide.
Watt has has a couple of chances, but lacked sharpness.
Martinez had made a couple of quality saves, or the scoreline could be embarrising.
    Stand-out Arsenal player for me,
    Kristoffer Olssen. Calm,composed & versatile.
If this boy don’t make the first team, then i’m a Dutchman!
    Dank u wel… 😉

  58. goonster says:

i love kriss olson kev………..he’s gonna be huge for us in a few years time………..then the circle ll repeat itself and shitty ll come buy him. what a waste. anyway morning guys…

  59. rico says:

Hi goonster, last time from me that was, just got it off my chest 😉

Isn’t it just Adam, resorted to watching last nights Corrie instead…

  60. Adam says:

The better the pitch, the more boring the game it seems. Better when the ball is doing something in the air or off the pitch and the first innings scores are both in the mid 200s. These flat, dead tracks are tedious.

  61. goonster says:

morning mama bear……….how are ya? still cooked up at home aint cha? when are you gonna get out of that house and have some fun…………i ve got the perfect one for ya…..wait for it………………….BUNGIE JUMPING! how’s that for fun?

  62. Adam says:

I hope so Stan. Cazorla has been one of my favorite players for a while. Do you have inside info on this one?

  63. rico says:

It will get worse too Adam, sun is due to shine over the remainder of the test, what do you reckon SA will get, 650-700 and then declare??

  64. goonster says:

morning charlie………..doing your best to ignore me right? well its not gonna work. am calling you out big fella.

  65. rico says:

Cheeky goonster, I have been out most of the day, just pop in to check that you are behaving 😉

  66. goonster says:

my sources said “not to reveal nothing” cause then wenger ll be pissed and not sign him………….just like mata and ricky.

  67. Adam says:

Rico. Probably about 550, then perhaps it’ll end in a draw, barring a 2nd innings collapse. Isn’t Graham Smith awful?

  68. goonster says:

i am actually…….just had a sumptuous meal. didnt mata do the same rico? of course he ll say he’s not moving. wenger likes it on the hush hush. remember podolski move? we ve carzorla!!!!!!! i tells ya.

  69. goonster says:

that’s all he’s ever gonna do…..sniff. carzorla wont join the spuddies. he’s a world and european champion for pete’s sake. spuddies?!!! please dont make me laugh.

  70. rico says:

That’s not much of a lead though Adam, if they have any go in them they’d bat out and make us chase some crazy score…

Smith, in what way, or just in general, not keen on any of them, gone are the good old days of Alan Donald v’s Atherton, that was a test and a half wasn’t it….

  71. Adam says:

No Rico. All out 550. Not a declaration. I used to like Atherton but find him a miserable git these days.

  72. rico says:

Hi HM, we’ll be even better if AW re-invests all the money…

    😆 Adam

He’s a South African cricketer goonster

  73. rico says:

    Oops – sorry Adam…

Did you see Freddie Flintoff’s recent comments about him?

I love listening to Mikey and the Sir…. Gower and Athers are both a bit boring…

  74. goonster says:

oh…..cricket. that boring sport. you brits are weirdos. how do you even understand that, i ll never know. 155 not out…..fast bowler, leg spinner, what does it even mean? christ….

  75. Adam says:

He went to the new money in Malaga but something untoward has happened there apparently. Goonster seems to be in the loop.

  76. Charlie George aka AK says:

    Changes at half-time helped.
    I’m sure I detected a more direct approach in 2nd 45.

Akpom switched up front and was very impressive.

Jeffrey came onto the wing, hit a post in last minute. Looked a good lad.

Boateng was good, Wynter in m/f was good also.

Olssen was the top banana for me.

    Borehamwood correspondant, signing-off…. 🙂

  77. goonster says:

any link AK……….I really wanna see olson’s goal. pretty please. ok i wont call you a wuss again just devil. happy now?

  78. rico says:

    Fingers crossed then Adam…

How old are these players from today Mr Borehamwood correspondent 😉

  79. Charlie George aka AK says:

    Just you Ms Berkshire…

Akpom, Olssen, Jeffrey are all around 17/18.
    Wynter is 18/19
    Boateng 19/20.

    They were the best imho.

You mentioned Boateng in one of your posts didn’t you Kev, is he close to pushing his way into the first team squad, or even the CO Cup this season?

  81. Charlie George aka AK says:

Rico, I think that physically, Boateng could cope, but he probably needs another loan, primarily in the Championship, a kind of step up in quality to what he had last season at Swindon.
But I think he could do a job in an emergency.

The Arsenal defence, shaky with Angha & Monteiro at it’s heart initially, looked a lot more solid when Boateng came on and Hajrovic switched to partner him.

Hajrovic had a steady game, starting as def/mid, then moved forward to att/mid and finally centre-half. He aquitted himself well in all 3 positions.

Jernade Meade also had a steady game.

And Watt improved when he dropped into the hole and played a deeper role.

It was all a classic case of getting match sharp.
Stevenage will be a more stern test next weekend.

  82. rico says:

Think i looked him up Kev, and he looks a bit of a strong one, good..

So same old same old defensive probs, bit worrying since Bouldy would have been coaching them 😉

But they are still raw, plenty of time, just hope Bould can work wonders with the first team defensive unit…

I thought Watt might be allowed to leave this summer…

  83. rico says:

And we thought RvP was bad…..

In a desperate bid to secure a move to Real Madrid, Luka Modric has gone AWOL from Tottenham. Spurs are set to take disciplinary action against the player.

    😆 😆

  84. rico says:

    Injury jinx heading elsewhere???

Manchester United have suffered another injury setback in central defence after Chris Smalling was ruled out for 10 weeks following surgery on a broken metatarsal.

  85. rico says:

    And goodnight form me…

Just enjoying watching Tommy Cooper, now he was good…

    Catch you all tomorrow…

    Nighty…..

ROBIN VAN PERSIE is demanding £10.1million a year for his signature this summer.

The Dutchman’s agent Kees Vos met with Italian champions Juventus and revealed the Arsenal skipper wants £195,000 a week in wages.

That would make Van Persie one of the highest-paid players in the world.

Juventus initially baulked at the figure and reconsidered their options but are now back in the hunt.

And with Manchester City and Manchester United also chasing the 28-year-old, he is likely to get his money.

The double Footballer of the Year has already turned down a £130,000-a-week offer from Arsenal but neither City nor United will be frightened off by his demands.

City already pay Yaya Toure £225,000 a week, while Wayne Rooney receives £200,000 a week from United.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger left RVP behind as the club flew out for a tour of the Far East yesterday.

And rumours new signing Lukas Podolski will be given the No 10 shirt normally worn by Van Persie have increased speculation the £30m-rated forward will soon be on his way.

But Wenger has not given up on keeping his star.

He said: “Van Persie is one of the best strikers in the world, if not the best, and my desire is to keep him.”

Arsenal have already signed two new forwards in Podolski and Olivier Giroud but are also lining up Spain star Fernando Llorente if Van Persie does leave.

“I do not agreed with Artsenal and want to leave Artsenal to win trophies and titles…….”…. 😆

    Goodnight all.
I will too busy watching The Oprn tomorrow..

  87. alan b'stard M P says:

I don’t blame RvP. How would anyone here like to have swindlers like the board and AW controlling your life

Any, board AW and foreigners out!

  88. Scott from Oz says:

Those same swindlers that have paid is wage whilst he sat in the sick room Alan?
Get serious mate,he owes the club.
Though for 25 million,he can go!!

  89. rico says:

    Hi Scott…

The good old rumour site have a few reports that a deal has been struck with Juve for £20 million ….

  90. rico says:

alan, hate to say this but your comment is unbelievable…

Were you thinking that between 1996 – 2006?

  91. alanbstardmp says:

yes Rico I don’t believe in the wandering footballer because of the EU. It totally ruins the meaning of playing for your club

People here talk about ” mercenaries “. Well, how and why does it happen? Too many foreign players

Bring back the old terraces too

  92. rico says:

What makes you think that English players are any more loyal??

    It’s 2012 alan, not the 50’s 😉
