Cesc, Wenger and Nasri 'off' and Evra’s in for a surprise, a big surprise!

On a weekend that sees us not involved in a league match, the gloves are off and the fighting talk has begun ahead of Monday nights fixture against the Mancs.

It’s no shock to hear Patrice Evra begin the wars of words either, he’s a nasty little man who always has something to say about Arsenal. I think he’s jealous, he knows we play better football than Manure on our day and something tells me he wished he could be part of it. Why else would he need to worry about what goes on at our club? Same goes for Mourinho, I don’t get why either feel the need to air their views on Arsene or Arsenal.

Do you care what goes on in anyone else’s house? I know I sure don’t!!

Evra has labelled us ‘a load of rubbish’ – he adds,

Arsenal, a big club like that and they have not won a thing for five years? For me that is a crisis and a load of rubbish.
To my mind Arsenal are an Academy team. I’ll watch one of their games and enjoy it, but in the end will they win a trophy? That is what people remember you for.

People are beguiled by Arsenal’s style, but in the end what do they have to show for it? It made me laugh when people said ‘Arsenal, the Barcelona of the French.’ Barcelona play well, but they win! What interests me is a team that wins.

What should interest Mr Evra is what’s going on at Manchester United!! Just who does he think he is?

That statement totally contradicts the view of his team-mate Nani,

Arsenal have been doing well. They are growing up in the way we are. They are a good team. I think they are a bigger threat than Chelsea now. Chelsea have lost a few games and drawn some and their confidence looks a bit low.
But Arsenal have been winning and being top of the league gives you great confidence.
They also have an in-form player in Samir Nasri. He is a big danger and we have to take care of him on Monday.

No surprise then that his comments have set Wenger, Nasri and Cesc off, they have all had something to say in return to the Manure defender. Wenger in his usual calm and gentlemanly way said,

When you want to be a big player, you have always got to respect your opponent and not say remarks that are disrespectful and possibly based more on fear than self-confidence. We are guided by the way we want to play and not by the statements of anybody who plays against us.

Nasri added,

I heard his comment and didn’t like it, because we’re not kids. We will show United Arsenal have grown up and are a lot more mature in how we play.

Cesc has added a bit of fuel to this simmering fire too,

It’s a huge game on Monday and we could go four points clear, we’re definitely looking to go to Old Trafford and win. That would be a massive statement of intent for us. We are really going for it.

He’s determined to part of the team too – “If I can play in any way, I will.”

So what with Walcott yesterday saying his bit, Cesc, Wenger and Nasri all talking the talk too, something suggests they really are off to Manchester to walk the walk.

Is there a better time to be going?

The snoods may not be off but the gloves certainly are and I can’t wait for Monday night.

Have a good day all…..

“patricia”is a classless c**t of the first oder.like the club he plays for & the arrogant b**trds who support them-you can see why their HATED & it has nothing to do with jealousy unlike that little dwarf who has a serious chip on his shoulder when it comes to THE ARSENAL-how i would love it if we shaft them..

  2. looneygooner says:

you mean Nani don’t you, in some ways he is right, he is a wanker but some of his statement is correct, this team will never be regarded as a success til we bring home the silverware, but we still have problems at the back and we still can’t kill teams off, if we beat the Mancs will the result have the effect it should have or will our home record let us down

  3. rico says:

morning king gooner, thanks for the ***, i can’t stand the guy either, every time we play he has something to say about us, this time it’s going to come back and bite his backside….

And I reckon Cesc will be fit too…. Proper fit though i hope and no more of this ‘risking him’ otherwise he can stay away…

Arsenal can certainly beat any team in the BPL if the players put their heart and soul into the job. Problem is they are very immature when the opponents counter-attack at crucial juncture of a match. This is where all the silly amateur mistakes started to surface, simple clearance were wildly kick away almost always ended at the feet of opponents who will resumed attack again and if this goes on for a while Arsenal will most certainly concede a goal. This type of panicky play never ever happened during the time of Adams, Dixon, Bould and Winterburn – NEVER ! Unless Arsenal learned to keep their composure and may still win matches but not the BPL Championship. It is definitely a mental thing and if Arsenal have two more players like VanMaelen and Koscielny than they’ll be fine. The fuse to these panic choky play were almost always lighted by Gael Clichy. Most of the time we concede goals from the left back side of the field because opponent knew thats the best end of the field to start their attacks.

Hi everyone, the more I hear about Evra’s trash against Arsenal the more I think about MOURINHO! Is EVRA the biological son of MOURINHO? If not. Mourinho should adopt that guy he’s really spitting image of his stupidness. I think you’ll agree with me. Come one Arsenal players give that guy some treatment on the pitch.

  6. vinnyjones says:

its all about the team that is selected, the subs that are made and the collective attitude of the team we showed v chelsea we are not kids, evra is jealous that he is one of the few french players arsene has no interest in, which must be devastating for someone as delusional as him. his team mates see us as a threat and now fergie has come out and tried to influence the ref with his “aggressive” comments regarding our style of play this season. they are scared, i happened to catch a replay of manure v spurs game. harry and his team of wannabes should of had the 3 points that day. so if they can rattlr utd we can destroy them. focus, togetherness, attitude, determination thes are key words for monday. COME ON ARSENAL!

  7. rico says:

Hi Eddie, I’m not so sure about Kos just yet, I’m hoping Djourou returns for Monday, Clichy v Nani is the battle we need to win and win well..

  8. rico says:

Osi – they can only both be unhappy where they are, like the post says, why else would they worry about whats going on elsewhere…

  9. rico says:

vinny, spot on, I saw the Villa game too, they should have torn manure apart… they have been very fortunate so far and soon the luck has to leave them…

any news on who the ref is??

    Bet it’s Howard ‘manure’ Webb….

  10. Osi says:

I’m not confident about winning tomorrow because of our defence that looks like mess. We should improve our defending as a team because if Arshavin is not tracking back and if the team don’t pressure as group then it’s not good for our defence. Sometimes I see some guys like Nasri, Chamack and Song pressuring teams up while others staying behind. They should realise that they organise the way they pressurise teams.

Rico I don’t prefer any ref at all because they all give Manu something and won’t book that famous FLETCHER, or Evra.

  11. rico says:

What about Monday Osi 😉 😉

I’m not keen on the new freedom Song has, he needs to offer some protection to our defence, he’s not quick enough to go box to box. I suspect Denilson and Song will start together, that always worries me…

There are a couple who don’t seem to favor them, is it mike dean and clattenburg? mind you, they are still pretty useless…

  12. rishgoon says:

Evra and Nani are both pr!cks. They have sleepovers and sleep in bunk beds together with the night light on. One of the only good things Gallas did for our club was kick the sh!t out of Nani a couple of years ago. Arsenal 4 Man U 1

  13. rico says:

Hi rishgoon, is that true about sleepovers??

lol re Gallas, i can’t see Nasri taking any stick tomorrow, he’s got a bit of fight in him…

Wish TV was fit and healthy though, how much do we miss him….

  14. Osi says:

One problem we will avoid Monday is conceeding a penalty. Manu have some pretty ‘divers’, I could name Nani, Barba, Rooney and Anderson, and when you know that we have Mr. Panic Clichy, and slow merchant that’s Squilaci, and refs. looking at giving penalties to United, then you’d expect us to conceed a pen Monday.

Negativity aside, I think Nasri will give United something to think about, and Chamack’s been quiet lately so I expect him to play a big role. and so is Arshavin, who’s been very poor in the last game. Sagna is alos playing fantastically well and should give few crosses to Chamack and Co.

Manu have good defenders but if my memory is right I remember when we played them two seasons ago we created a few chances with our crossings, and Bendtner looked like a world class striker that day. We can do the same Monday, we have Nasri, Sagna and even Arshavin who can all cross but the problem is that usually Arsenal don’t have enough bodies in the penalty box.

  15. kk says:

lool u fools give me jokes talking abt united like that jus ber in mind you have not won anything since binladen went in to hiding lol so plz cut the crap about nani and evra

  16. rico says:

Osi, I think both sides have quality players and Chamakh can give as good as they can in the penalty area, as can Theo with his pace. Rio is dodgy at the back and VDS is no better than Fabianski right now…

Clichy worries me, if he has one of those games where he panics Nani will cause us big problems…

AA has found form and Nasri is on fire, I don’t think we’ll lose up there but if we don’t take our chances, we won’t win either…

  17. ian maloney says:

Eddie Yak i believe you are mistaking.
i get tired of so called fans and ex-players slating the current crop of players.yes they have not won any thing but i believe that is due to aw not buying in 2008/2009 when we lost edu for example.we always go on about the famous back five.does anyone remember fa cup semi 1999 when manure came from a goal down to beat us 2-1?yes we had the so called back four.they are the same ones who made united get the treble. Also the fa cup final against liverpool when we lost after taking the lead.lets get behind this team and see what can happen instead of falling for the media words about poor defence when our famous back 5 never got to the quarter finals of the ecl.

  18. Osi says:

AA is a genius and can make a difference, but I think his attitude is wrong. He should take a hard look at himself and analyse his game so that he can improve his overall contribution. At the moment he’s focusing on blaming the others especially the defence and forget his bit. Yes Rico we have our own penalty getters but I doubt that we’ll get some at Old Traf. I think the team is missing Diaby. I know you a lot of Arsenal fans don’t appreciate what the guy was doing but I think with him playing we never looked open as we are now because he was the one who pressurise teams up field and allow Song to focus on his protective role. Yes, he was lazy and careless a lot of time but then he was able to produce some wonderful moment and carried the ball forward with ease.

  19. RedMist says:

You Gooners seem to suffer terribly from selective memory loss. Conveniently forgetting the many verbal and physical attacks on United by your own saintly players, and manager of course. Who can forget Wengers (and his players) “calm and gentlemanly” reaction(s) to getting beaten by a better team. Cynical kicks and Pizza bombs are the cornerstone of “calm and gentlemanly” behaviour, eh?
As for Evra’s words, he simply says that you haven’t won anything for five years. Fact. Your football can’t be that good if it never delivers any silver wear, can it? Being able to play for a few minutes at a time is not the same as creating a team that can perform over the course of a season. is it?

  20. rico says:

Sorry for those held in moderation, for the man u fans, please keep in nice, we don’t do insults and stuff here, we will respect your views just as I hope you can respect ours – helathy debate yes, slating, not here please, thanks…

  21. peter kuria says:

am a manchester fun so all i can sat is its mentality that arsenal guyz need to improve on so that things go cool on em they play all but the mentality is wat will determine tommorows game…

  22. rico says:

hi peter, personally i think its crazy that players come out with such statements about other sides, lets wait til monday night and see what happens…

also, why add fuel to these games, they create their own passion..

  23. guest says:

What a blessing in disguise for this idiot to mouth his piece. The backlash will definitely fire up the team to no end, even AW will find it difficult to engineer such a fighting spirit. Now the team has a target, grit and determination is in place. A win on Monday will change the landscape for good….all cobwebs and doubts from the past will melt like April snow. What is required is for our away fans to give 99 mins of vocal support, non stop!

  24. Toby says:

Evra is jealous because Arsenal gets a lot more attention than united in French media. That means, the french players in Arsenal gets more attention than Evra does. The poor boy is hurt by that and moans about it to the (french) media to get some more attention. Poor boy…..
