Morning Gooners,

Neil Lennon has heard all the stories about Arsenal and Manchester United keeping an eye on Victor Wanyama but he’s not about to let his guy go:

He is a quality young player but like I said before he is our player and we are very pleased to have him here.

So you might be Mr Lennon but just like most clubs, you will sell if the right price is offered but not sure if there is much truth in us thinking about making an offer for him?

Can’t go a day without mentioning Robin, no matter how hard I try and here he is with his new team mates.

Nobby No Mates πŸ™‚

Only kidding of course, but it does seem as if no other club ‘really’ wants him.

Robin will be travelling to Germany next week with the squad to train and face FC Cologne. Suggestion is he has stepped up his fitness programme and is ready for the new season. Whether that is with us or not is a different matter but considering Juventus are supposed to have set a deadline date for August 7th for any deal with them to be completed, this move would suggest that our captain will not be heading to Italy this summer.

That no doubt opens the door for a battle between the two Manchester sides for his signature or maybe Barcelona will make a move for him, after all they seem to like signing our players.

Whatever happens, I’m sure being in Germany, training with the likes of Podolski, Giroud, Cazorla and maybe even Sahin he might start to think again.

Talking of Santi Cazorla, the delay in announcing his arrival is down to problems in Malaga:Β

According to Sky Sports News there will be no official confirmation regarding the signing of Santi Cazorla from Malaga, due to confusion which has arisen over who is signing off on the transfer from the Spanish club, until this issue can be resolved.

This will hopefully be resolved over the weekend and his signing should be confirmed soon, together withΒ Nuri Sahin I hope.

One on his way out for a season though is young Benik Afobe, he is heading off to Bolton to join Owen Coyle in the Championship and Wigan are trying to secure a loan for Ryo Miyaici which will only benefit his career.

Not a lot else in the news today, the reserves feature in another friendly later against Chesham United and if you are going, keep an eye out for Jack Jebb. I remember watching him when Arsenal had their own television channel, he was pretty darn good then so he should be even better by now.

Oh and finally, Ivan Gazidis has joined the FA’s Professional Game Board (PGB) and the FA Council ahead of the 2012/13 season.

Exciting news eh? Well he thinks so:

I am delighted to be joining these important footballing bodies. The appointments mean Arsenal will be represented in many of the key debates in the game both here in the UK and in Europe.

Hope he doesn’t neglect his Arsenal duties along the way….

Team GB were beaten 2-0 by Canada last night in the Women’s Football quarter-finals so they’ll be a few sad Arsenal Ladies today…

There’s an interesting article in The Daily Mail, yes, The Daily MailΒ relating to the introduction of the new Barclays Under-21 Premier League which will be launched later this month. Arsenal will be grouped in withΒ Blackburn, Bolton, Everton, Norwich, Reading, West Brom and West Ham.

That’s it for today, have a good one all…..
