Big Arsenal deal is on. Arsenal man tipped to storm the league.

Morning all.

I’m staying away from the Stan Kroenke topic after all, apart from him buying out Alisher Usmanov and the rest of the shares floating around, what impact his sole ownership might have on the club is yet to be seen. Moaning won’t change his mind anymore than the exaggerated headlines on Newsnow will. One things for sure and that’s that he won’t be going into to this with his eyes half shut. He’ll know fully what to expect should he not show ambition. So a bit like the answer I always got when I asked my Mum what was for lunch, ‘wait and see’ is my motto. I certainly refuse to be drawn into the endless negativity which seems to be surrounding this move anyway.

The next 36 hours could be interesting as I reckon the club are going to do something special in the transfer window. It’s just a hunch, a belief that something big is going to happen. It could simply be me having read to many headlines about Dembele and have convinced myself they’re true. Perhaps it be someone else, perhaps it’ll be no one but I can’t, or won’t allow that to get the better of the debate going on in my head. I’m a glass three quarters full kind of girl, that’s the way I live my life. Negativity is a bad emotion.

Let the battle commence…

This is what everyone in English football is talking about. Pep Guardiola verses the rest. Who can stop him and his City side defending their Premier League title. The answer seems to be no one. Klopp and his lot will give City the greatest challenge ‘they’ say, they’ll run City close but by the time May comes, they’ll have come up short yet again.

Jose Mourinho was hurt so badly last summer after losing out to his local rivals, he’ll be back with a bang, his team ready to chase City down until the last day of the league season. Well that’s a joke isn’t it? The only thing I foresee the ghastly squirt doing is moaning through until May. It’ll either be the players fault, the officials or Ed Woodward for not spending an additional £200 million this summer. It’ll never be his fault, never. Imo, there’s not a chance of Utd winning the league.

Nor Chelsea, another new season, another different manager but no Courtois, or at least it’s looking that way. I don’t think they’re as bad off as newspapers would have us believe though.

Then there’s the Totts and what chances do they have of toppling City and winning the Premier League for the very first time since it began? Fifteen minutes have now passed and I’ve finally stopped laughing, well, enough to continue writing. I’ll move on, as they’ve got about as much chance as Stoke City have.

Next is us, no chance is the view in the media. The best we can hope for is a top four place and after much chin rubbing, ooo’s and arrr’s, even that’s going to be tough ‘they’ say. I have to disagree, I think there’s more chance of us finishing in a top four spot than not. I’m not foolish enough to believe we can win the league, but 3rd or 4th, yes, why not?

We could see a few surprises too as other clubs are snapping up players for fun. Fulham and West Have have been pretty busy. Mind you, so have Arsenal and it isn’t over yet. Not quite anyway.

As well as giving their view on the potential league champions in the article I was reading, the question about this coming seasons stand out player was asked too. Interesting one too I thought. Last season it was Salah and him staying fit for the entire season was key to Liverpool doing as well as they did. The Champions League Final showed just how important a player he was for them. Can he repeat that form this season? Probably, certainly possibly but it wasn’t him who received the most backing, no, that player was our very own Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and who am I to disagree I thought. He’s had his bedding in period during which he found the back of the net on numerous occasions but this season could be a really good one for him. Like so many of our players, he’s had a full pre-season and there’s no reason he can’t take the league by storm, almost in Thierry Henry fashion. He has everything in his locker including the buzz of playing under an exciting younger manager who studies the oppositions weakness like no other. Well, nearly no other. Same for Lacazette, he’s due a good one too and the two together could gel quicker than a drop of superglue does between your two fingers. Give them the right service and they’ll do the rest I’m sure.

We’ve so much to look forward to I reckon. Just don’t let the ball get into our defensive area… lol

Finally, Arsenal are reported to be on the verge of a big switch. Out with Puma and in with Adidas in a double our money deal worth £60 million a season for five years.

Have a great day guys, mind that F5 button on NewsNow or you’ll end up needing a plaster…
