Stephane Sessegnon is the latest player linked to us, whether it has legs or whether itโ€™s surfaced as we have just played Sunderland, I donโ€™t know but already the player has denied that he is interested in a move โ€“ now!

Of course he would, the transfer window is shut, he has no choice but to stay put!

Lโ€™Equipe reports that the Sunderland player had this to say:

Interest from some bigger English clubs? I donโ€™t think about that so far.

Above all I am thinking to score and assist. We will talk about my future again at the end of the season.

If Sunderland want Bendtner but donโ€™t want to pay for him, would you take Sessegnon in return?

Iโ€™d have to seriously think about that one too but in the summer, a lot can happen between now and the next transfer window.

Zambia shocked the ACONโ€™s yesterday when they beat the red-hot favourites Ivory Coast on penalties and our own Gervinho played his part by missing his. Arsene watched his wonder goal a few days ago, letsโ€™ hope he was watching the penalty shootout too and keeps him far away from any of ours. ๐Ÿ˜‰ (Not that we seem to get awarded many!)

Drogba had a chance from the penalty spot on 68 minutes but he failed to make it count, not a good night for the Ivory Coast, bit like Arsenal really, so close, yet so farโ€ฆ..

For all the fans who said back in the summer that we didnโ€™t need to worry about the left back position as we had Thomas Vermaelen, think again. Heโ€™s reported to have said heโ€™s fed up with playing there and heโ€™s no good in that position. Kieran Gibbs is now fit and available for selection and that, couple with the injury to Mertesacker, we should see Vermaelen return to his central position and alongside Koscielny. Good, that has to be our strongest central defensive pairing and we need that for our trip to Italy.

Whether Gibbs returns to the side or Wenger opts for Coquelin/Miquel remains to be seen.

That’s it, short and sweet for today….
