Stephane Sessegnon is the latest player linked to us, whether it has legs or whether it’s surfaced as we have just played Sunderland, I don’t know but already the player has denied that he is interested in a move – now!
Of course he would, the transfer window is shut, he has no choice but to stay put!
L’Equipe reports that the Sunderland player had this to say:
Interest from some bigger English clubs? I don’t think about that so far.
Above all I am thinking to score and assist. We will talk about my future again at the end of the season.
If Sunderland want Bendtner but don’t want to pay for him, would you take Sessegnon in return?
I’d have to seriously think about that one too but in the summer, a lot can happen between now and the next transfer window.
Zambia shocked the ACON’s yesterday when they beat the red-hot favourites Ivory Coast on penalties and our own Gervinho played his part by missing his. Arsene watched his wonder goal a few days ago, lets’ hope he was watching the penalty shootout too and keeps him far away from any of ours. 😉 (Not that we seem to get awarded many!)
Drogba had a chance from the penalty spot on 68 minutes but he failed to make it count, not a good night for the Ivory Coast, bit like Arsenal really, so close, yet so far…..
For all the fans who said back in the summer that we didn’t need to worry about the left back position as we had Thomas Vermaelen, think again. He’s reported to have said he’s fed up with playing there and he’s no good in that position. Kieran Gibbs is now fit and available for selection and that, couple with the injury to Mertesacker, we should see Vermaelen return to his central position and alongside Koscielny. Good, that has to be our strongest central defensive pairing and we need that for our trip to Italy.
Whether Gibbs returns to the side or Wenger opts for Coquelin/Miquel remains to be seen.
That’s it, short and sweet for today….
Afternoon All………….
http://www.obtampons.ca/apology
Afternoon all, for all of you that forget its valentines day tomorow
Hi Wath, Any news about the Russian.?
Gervinho and Drogba whats wrong with these Africans is 12 yards to far away or what
Howdy folks, I think Martin Oniel will let Nikky go
Afternoon all, thought the place needed refreshing 😉
Gervinho said a few months ago that the IC were like AFC, little did he realise how right he was 😉
Can’t believe tey blew that final, mind you i still can’t believe we blew the CC final….
Afternoon all.Gerv was probably the best player on the pitch yesterday but when it came to penalties he looked absolutely nervous.i just knew he would miss and how right i was 🙁
Nope SP, all quiet on the Uzbek front at the moment but we’ll hear soon enough although maybe we won’t…?
If a player doesn’t want to take a penalty they should never be forced too, he never looked happy or comfy and now he’ll be useless for us with confidence shot 2 pieces…!
By the way guys if you were to pick 5 penalty takers for us in a CL/FA cup final who would you pick?mine are vermy, santos,Arteta,Sagna and rvp in that order.
Afternoon Steve, KT and Erick..
Can’t see MoN keeping him either Erick, he’s been nothing but trouble since he got there….
TV,Ramsey,Arteta,Sagna,Rvp…………. In that order….!
Afternoon all,
Some heavyweight punchers slugging it out on here last night.
Steve, I always think back to Brady and Rixy and how different it could have been.
Gervinho was the 7th or 8th in line, he was hoping he wouldn’t have to be take one, you’ve either got the bottle or you ain’t, don’t think we’ll be seeing him take one for arsenal.
TV5 has just signed a long term extension, he knows the score.
We need to sell the dickhead for a fiver just to get his huge salary off our books and give to a more deserving player…!
Hey guys, this is my comment on yesterday’s post…
Well well,I held myself from commenting on this article till I went through all of others comments, have to say it’s really interesting and also confusing all’facts and oppinions from different sources but…all in all I only want one thing,is being competitive and having that reflected in clubs active trading in players Market and also philosophy on the pitch,so far we are in between all I’ve mentioned…
I don’t know if DD or IG is better and who is the lesser evil between Alisher and Stan, though supported this club for last 7 years I never went lengths to investigate all that,I am merely a single guy who loves this club and wants it to be successful, and what I think is missing is Ambition, there seems to be this self sustaining business model and bla bla, which sounds like utopia,it is amazing that we moved to new stadium and all,but at the end of the day I just want to win trophies… And I don’t care who is owner,CEO or Pope in our club, those will never be saints none are and none were, but we simply need people with ambition to be successful on the pitch, and the only ambition it seems our directors have is the balance of their bank accounts…again I might be wrong, this is just my opinion…
Hi Rico, I’m away for five minutes and we have a double post, you have been a busy Bee 🙂
Hi Micko, who you calling fat 😉 😉
Got to walk Fido, won’t be long its woo bloody cold 😉
Rvp / Arteta / Arshavin / Ramsey / Vermaelen, that should do the trick.
Pens; Walcott, Chamakh, Mertesaker, Rosicky and Arshavin.
In that order.
Only joking….. 🙂
KT, your line~up looks good.
yooohhh! our boys just landed and are receiving a heroes welcome as i write!! sorry fellas i always thought i’d put “club before country” but this meant so much to us and in the end it was gervinho who dealt us the card my country needed! And hopefully he can now find his shooting boots for Arsenal . the country is electric and the nation never slept, it was an emotional win remembering our fallen heroes . they sort of gave most of us here consolation when we lost to man u and had our poor run. and Its been a while since i felt the feeling of picking up the trophy!! on my wish list Wenger should talk to Herve Renard about picking up some of our boys especially the wingers cos apparently Newcastle were after Mayuka and opted for Demba Cisse instead and am told Marselle is onto him as he was swiss top goal scorer last year…man a trophy…go Chipoloplo!
AK…haha u should be the next arsenal manager,I c u selling all those flops rvp tv5 kos jack sang sczn ox…=D
Personally speaking proffesional players should be able to kick a ball from 12 yards and score, blinding goalkeeping is a factor but if you play in the premier league you should be able to least get a ball on target from 12 yards.
Hiya Dune. Arshavin would probably be ok as it goes.
Lets hope that Wenger can put it to the test in the CL final.
Well, i can dream… 🙂
My five I would not want taking….
Chamakh…. Gervinho….. Djourou…. Song….. Mertesacker……!
Hey SP, was you a penalty taker?
SP, as a pro footballer the one thing they should never do is miss the target from 12yards… a great save fair enough but to fire high wide and handsome really should not be happening..!
I took one…. And put it wide…
Mind you i did send the goalkeeper the wrong way.
Well done thegoon am happy for you especially after the loss of most of the team in that aircrash all those years ago…!
Gervinho was the 8th of the line… surprising maybe not be in the first five. However, the pitch on the penalty place, wil be worst and worst after last shoot.
hope is return next saturday and overcome the situation
Broken heart, the only injury for Gervinho.
Kev, no regrets.
Broken heart can take ages to heal Micko, last thing we need is a fragile striker in front of goal…!
African Nations again next year, that’s ridiculous.
Wath, we already have two of them, nothing like a local derby to get it out of his system.
Hi folks, I’ve been asked by W.A.T.H to re-post the comments ive made today on yesterday’s post, they are a bit long (so excuse me) but W.A.T.H thinks they are worth re-posting……
1st one …. Andy Powers post 4.53pm yesterday is 100% correct, it is not the decision of Kroenke not to have Usmanov on the board.
This all started years ago with the fall out between Danny Fizman and David Dein…. the boardroom was split, which eventually led to Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith selling up (to Usamanov I believe) Fizman sold his shares to Kroenke to stop David Dein getting back into the club.
Peter Hill-wood took the side of Fizman and so it became Kroenke as the major shareholder.
Remember just 2 years ago the board put a block on the selling of shares by anyone in the club, this was due to Danny Fizman’s ill health, he has since passed away, but the major factor was that they did this to stop Usmanov and David Dein gaining control.
Basically our club has been a pawn in a personal vendetta for the last 6 years. And the club has gone backwards.
We all know that the best thing for the club is for Usmanov and Red & White holdings (David Dein) to be in control.
Wenger has been blamed for a hell of a lot of us going backwards, with his refusal to spend money that the board have continually told us is there, however Wenger has still produced good, entertaining football throughout, we have failed to win any trophies mainly due to the lack of one or two experienced players not being bought…. this is not Wenger’s fault.
Arsene Wenger identified players he wanted in the club to make the difference and yes the board said the money for transfers were there, BUT and this is the crucial factor, they were not prepared to pay the wage demands of the player’s that Wenger identified and so Wenger has had to look elsewhere, at players of lesser quality and experience who Wenger can develop, this is what the the chief exec Ivan Gazidis (employed by Fizman) calls sustainable growth, without breaking the bank.
The board have also cut back on training schools and the scouting network, both of which were once the envy of most clubs throughout the world, our soccer schools are now way down the pecking order, and coaches are asked to go and scout in their spare time, also with UEFA coaching badges having new gradings, the club have refused the money to send our younger coaches on these UEFA courses to gain them, despite being told numerous times that if they haven’t got them, they will not be able to run the soccer schools, so we are missing out on any talent coming through from the local area (up to 1hr travel time which is the rule) to the training centre’s (players in the past such as Jack Wilshere) so there again Wenger has to buy youth from elsewhere as they are not coming through the ranks from under 9′s upwards anymore.
I have all of this information on very good authority from various sources inside the club and a lot of it was backed up by Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith, in her statements of criticism of the way the club is currently being run.
Hi SAK, i did take a few and i did miss a couple usually by hitting the post but i was just an amatuer these guys are pro’s. If i jumped in your cab kev and asked you to take me to liverpool street and you took me took me to tottenham hale you wouldn’t get paid.
W.A.T.H then informed me that Lady Nina BraceWell – Smith in fact sold her shares to Kroenke, so my last reply was ….
2nd one ….. Thanks for clarification W.A.T.H on who Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith sold out to, as that was the only thing I was unsure of hence the (i believe) after the statement.
I made that assumption based on speaking to her after she left, although I didn’t directly ask her who she sold to.
Though everything else I wrote, As I said has come from reliable sources inside the club.
My father worked at the club for many years during the 60′s and 70′s and we as a family have held season tickets from the 1940′s until I made a decision in 2006 that because I received a letter from the club regarding me as ‘dear supporter number xxxxxx’ instead of the usual dear Mr Toman, I felt I was no longer regarded as a person, but as a mere number.
Notably this change came about after DD left the club as well and in my opinion, it was then the club changed drastically from the inside out.
I still know many people who work within the club and without naming names and putting them into a position, I have had conversations with 2 or 3 of them as recent as December 30th 2011.
I was told by them then, that there would only be the one player incoming in January from Dortmund, which came to pass.
I was also then told about the coaching and scouting situation, and who is pulling the strings inside the club, and by the sounds of things, all is not rosy from within.
Again with Ivan Gazidis making his recent announcement with regard to sustainability and not being able to compete in the transfer market, it only confirmed exactly what I was told in December from my sources.
I am in no way AKB, though I do believe with proper direction and support from above, he is still the best manager for the job
He didn’t let us down when he had strong direction and support from above in DD, we attracted top class footballers then and we won trophies galore, even though the situation was relatively the same in the transfer market as it is now, albeit different teams offering more money than we could.
My personal opinion is that the board are totally to blame for the last 6 years, Yes Wenger’s tactics and tam selection does have something to do with it of course, and at times he totally baffles me, but again a workman can only work with the tools he is given.
If DD and AU did get control of the board and gave Wenger the direction and support he needs to get the players he wants, and he then fails to deliver, then I am sure that same board would not wait as long as the current one has, to get rid and replace, the only reason the current board haven’t got rid of Wenger, is because deep down they know they are at fault.
In keeping with your reposting I had posted this as a reply .
Potter says:
February 13, 2012 at 3:24 pm
Thanks for that Mr Toman , it puts a bit more flesh on the bones . As you may have gleaned from my previous posts I have been more upset with the late Mr Fiszman and the current spineless board members than those of either Wenger or for that matter Gazidis, I sincerely hope that the story I gleaned from Tim Stillman bears fruit and that the last members of the old guard are swept away and the two billionaires start to do the decent thing and realise that they have to talk to each other for the benefit of all , the club , the manager and of course the forgotten fans.
next Afcon is in 2014
Thanks Stuart, The thing I find pretty confusing is that although DF and DD fell out Lady Nina then said the board were like a little boys club with no ambition and no one really driving the board forward and yet she threw her hat in with Stan and DF and yet she must of known that DD would make sure AU would drive the club forward, did she also not like DD maybe.
Am with you on the Club treating us like customers Stuart, they’ve done it for years and we became a number as a paying customer not fans anymore and the divide between them and us has grown ever since, they watch a game from their ivory (glass) tower and it’s us who keep them their while their input in monetary terms is zero…!.
I blame the board for the lies and the bullshit since we left Highbury but I also hold Wenger responsible for a great many things as well that he goes along with for his massive salary and they love it as he makes the club a profit which has paid off debts and increased the share price which in turn lined their pockets very nicely. I still say if wenger wanted to spend they would give him what he wanted as they would be to scared to lose him but his ego has also got the better of him and he still thinks his project youth can win trophies. Hopefully thats now fianlly been put to bed but who exactly is to blame and will we ever know the full truth I doubt very much but they know what ever shit they give us it’s in our blood we will always go back next week, it’s our team even if it’s not our club anymore.
Im not sure about theo taking a penalty but ramsey and AA are good bets too.i chose my line up on the basis of their ability to stay composed.szczesny would probably do fine too.
Good comment Potter, Surely if AU and Stan actually got together one breaks us into the US market and the other uses his worldwide biz connections and we’d make use of his “sponsorship’s” and that would give us a huge financial booth, maybe then the fans may get a break in having to fork out so much for ST’s year in year out. I can but wish…!
Thought it was next year again uzzi and then 2014 and would be in the summer and not in the european season…!
Next AFCON is next year Wath in South Africa.
Then it goes back to being every two years in the summer though eh KT..? So is it Jan next year or in the summer next year..?
Interesting reading Stuart, I agree that the past few years have been well below par, but Wenger getting us through to the champions league for all these years has really taken the pressure off of the board, Hopefully if all this talk of possible change upstairs should materialise then maybe the club could go back to winning ways. We have to realise that money is not always the answer to all of the questions, but it seems to be the only solution at the moment. I would like to say though, That being in the top four for all these years is a magnificent acheivment from Arsene Wenger a cup final last year was no mean feat, anoying that it was but we have to realise that we do not have a God given right to win cups, and that it takes teamwork and good work ethics as well as just money.
Summer i believe.it was organised that way to prevent it happening at the same time as the WC.
I totally agree with you both your points Potter and W.A.T.H, however, just coming back to W.A.T.H’s point of “they know whatever shit they give us it’s in our blood and we will always go back next week” Well I took it a step further myself with refusing to attend the Emirates until the board step down… a self imposed ban/protest if you like.
From 1974 I had barely missed a home game, and from the mid 80’s barely missed an away game.
Since we moved to the Emirates, I can count how many home games I have been to using both hands. That is my personal protest against the board, I don’t love the club any less, it will always be in my blood, but I refuse to line the pockets of people who forget those who have shown loyalty through thick and thin.
I have still attended European away games and a fair few Premiership away games, but The Emirates, is a no no, and I know the board don’t care, because I am one man, BUT if a few thousand did the same thing, how would they see it then?
Another thing is I wont buy from the club shop, yet I buy many Arsenal related gifts for cousin’s, nephews etc, however I will buy them from anywhere but the club shop which always prices the same items above that price which I buy them for.
All the current board want is our money, that is all they are interested in, what is it now £17 a year for the privilege of being on a season ticket waiting list?? What is that all about??
If we fail to qualify for the CL next season and lose RVP in the process, we aren’t going to be able to attract anyone to the club let alone pay their wages, what then?? is the business still sustainable?? where does the shortfall in profit/breaking even come from? lets be honest they can’t really expect the fans to pay for it through further price hikes in merchandise and ticket prices, if anything we’d expect a reduction in both, but it wont happen.
What if we then fail to qualify for the CL and Europa the season after?
You see, I run a business myself and when you have sustained success, you have to keep on top of it and keep investing in it to keep it where it is, that is the number 1 principle in a sustained business model, The current board at Arsenal have relied heavily on AW to continue bringing players through and selling them for a profit, what happens if Wenger decides to retire or we can no longer attract players of a good enough caliber for them to be turned into a profit maker?
I think you all know as well as i do, that will be the day that this board suddenly starts to sell up and disappear into the shadows, and the blame will be left at Wengers door.
And my last little rant is….. Ivan Gazidis a self confessed lifelong Man City fan, running Arsenal FC who would have believed that??? considering all the transfers that have gone from Arsenal to City these past few years and none of the money made from those transfers has been put back into the current squad…. conspiracy theory?? you make up your own minds. nice chatting to you chaps.
Good read stuart.you summed it all up well.those dinasours upstairs need to go.
I think you’ll find Stuart a great many people are trying to vote with their pockets these days, I don’t use my season tkt give it to friends, yes the club still gets the money but it’s not my money, I won’t spend in the shop either and it’s a small little thing that makes no great odds in the bigger picture but at least it makes me feel a little better.
As you say Stuart, assets should be on the pitch, SP states money doesn’t solve or guarantee trophies but none of us on here demand trophies we are not that stupid of fickle but it would be nice to know we are at least competitive and that the exorbitant prices we’re charged to watch “OUR” team actually works its way back down to putting quality players on the pitch. At the moment it’s not like that and hasn’t been for some time. As team that’s competitive is easier to find good sponsors for it’s easier to market around the world and that in itself generates extra income and revenue which the current planks on the board seem to of forgotten, thing is they have already sold up, they really don’t care either do they it’s not their problem anymore it’s Stans problem….!.
Good read stuart.those dinasours upstairs need to go.
Toral Harper has signed a professional contract with the club.
Steve, if i took you to Tottenham Hale i’d shoot myself. 🙂
I’m not bitter Mick. Not much. We lost.
W.A.T.H/ Rico, re : AU & 30% threshold – if he has reached or crossed this threshold, then he or his advisors have to inform the LSE/Ofex of this by way of a regulatory annoucement, which is then published by RNS, and everyone then will see it as it will be in the public domain.
Great comments Stuart, and from the heart.
I’m afraid you are 100% correct. Things will only change when you hit them in the pocket.
Stan will sell-up like a shot as soon as the profits drop.
The sooner the better.
I only need a cannon on my shirt , I am not an advert for a foreign airline as such I don’t use the club shops.I also give as little as possible to Delaware and spend as little as possible for anything in the stadium. I gave up programmes 2 years ago , having a collection that goes back to 1956 my first game. ( much to the relief of the rafters in my loft. ). All of this is of course the fault of the ever increasing cost of tickets. Our pockets are only so deep and this is why they welcome newbies more than us old stagers that were in Highbury and bought rolls on the North Bank from that little shed half way up.We are only customers now but we still have the club at heart. As I said to my son 5th generation , we as a collective will still be here when they have gone , lets hope it’s sooner than later.
That’s interesting KT. Another Barca boy, polished up to be sold back to them no doubt.
Sorry back again, As someone just said to me on facebook, no doubt our board will make a point to validate their stance using today’s news that Glasgow Rangers have gone into administration.
I replied, in Scotland things are a bit different, Rangers going into administration and having 10 points deducted still leaves them in the same league position and 9 pts clear of 3rd place, although it does rule them out of European football competition next year altogether, is it such a big loss to them? or a good move to get the financial pressure taken off of them?…. notably a financial pressure which was placed on them through their previous board who got them into the state they are in and then deserted the club, note it wasnt a foreign billionaire either, it was someone who claimed to have the club’s best interests at heart and is now pointing the finger at the man he sold out to, who he made a £50 million profit from, by selling to him…. was that really in the best interests of the club? obviously not.
And It also brings up the subject of transparency, as in transfer fee’s, Rangers have been similar to Arsenal in recent years, of being in the habit of selling their best players for undisclosed fee’s.
I really believe that is a pile of tosh, and we the fans who pay the wages, are entitled to know exactly how much a player has been bought or sold for, and the clauses and conditions attached to the transfer, as well as agents fee’s etc…. so what are your thoughts folks, on undisclosed transfer fee’s??
AK, quality 🙂
Torak must be very good since he has barely been here 6 months and he has already earned a contract.
Hi Tlailaxu
😆 Steve – i honestly believed we would hear today about AU so i double posted yesterday, now i promise all will get back to normal, i can’t cope 😉 😉
Oops, don’t know what happened to my commenet, that should have posted a while ago 🙁
Evening fine folks….
wolves coach was sacked.
That was always on the cards JM, rotten run of result followed by a battering in the BCD yesterday – wonder if thats what will happen to Wenger if we get beat in the up and coming NLD 😉
Ok, i shouldn’t joke, we will not be losing that match….
Up until a couple of years ago I never would have bought my shirt anywhere else but the club shop, my money was going straight back into the club, these days I don’t step foot inside the doors but that doesn’t stop the thousands that do every match day, its a goldmine.
The last top i bought I gave away to a kid in Kracow, he was mad about Arsenal, its a beautiful place, people going there for the euro’s will love it.
I usually wear my retro 70’s long sleeved shirt to games now or my old Tony Adams JVC shirt if i’m feeling nostalgic.
Still buy a beer in the stadium, wouldn’t want to bleed the club dry.
JM, Mick McCarthy knew something was up this morning when he arrived at work to find his desk in the carpark !
It was on the cards.
yes, specially lost versus WBA by that score… 😉
Penalty takers: RvP, Arteta, Santos, Ramsey, Vermaelen
Sessegnon deal is a definite NO. I’d rather take Bendtner back and try get some money for him which could be used towards buying a quality striker, we have enough cover out wide with Miyaichi, Arshavin Chamberlain, Walcott and Gervinho.
Potter 4.31;
I used to collect programmes. Hated it if i went to game & couldn’t get one.
Now the programmes are an expensive magazine full of adverts & things for Junior Gunners.
The Wembley programmes are a scandal. How nobody hasn’t complained, i will never know.
All i buy now is the handbook & maybe a Carling Cup prog.
The programmes are rubbish. Full of spin.
Hi JB212 –
but how much will we get for a striker who can’t score, gets nicked for drink driving, faces court for criminal damage and has an ego as big as Denmark 😉
Bendtner will be a super-star, just ask his dad.
Give the guy a break rico………laters.
Laters Micko, he’s cack – and his dads a fibber 😉
Rico….spot on Bendy being cack and his dad’s a fibber.
Good evening guys and chicks of the Gunners’ Faith.
Good post today and one which has the comments full of interest. I simply had to follow yesterday’s comments also, especially the TOMAN ones and blimey, they are real eye openers.
So in a nutshell we are a pawn in the hands of PHW and a couple of directors. Hope SK throws them off the board.
Evening devil, how’s you? Taking things easy I hope!
If AU comes in, i thin we will see many a change but…..
Thing is and as someone eles pointed out, do any of really ‘know’ – I know I don’t, all i do is read the news and go from there 😉
Just seen that Rangers could be heading into liquidation 😮
That’s a shocker…….
That is why I would like to see AFC run like Barca as a club…..power in the hands of the people. THE SUPPORTERS. Where no one owns more than 10% and the board gets elected every three years. That makes everyone work hard and look over his shoulders.
This is frightening. A top club who is gearing towards administration.
In a way our club is blessed. We might not see the results now but we will do so definately later.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-17015966
I am taking it easy Rico. One of the main things is……I sleep 8 hours a day. No matter what I still have to do. The other is I live the moment and not think about what might happen and what has happened.
BDW……Happy Valentine’s day Rico and AGAG.
I’m not sure i’d like us to be run that way devil – too many AKB’s would save the manager 😉
Good devil, i am pleased to hear that…..
Thank you devil, and happy valentines to you too for tomorrow – its not all about the girls 😉
So, get Bartley back, he’s got to be better that the option of seeing squilli on the bench…..
Now what wouldnt I give to see Manure, the spuds and the dippers into administration and docked points?????
That would make my day.
And mine devil 😉
It could happen you know, how much are Manure in debt?
They are much more than us for sure. And much much much more than Rangers. However why dont they go into administration???
Righto……off for today.
Been nice to talk a bit here although not that much.
Cu you all tomorrow.
Good night all
just off for a bite to eat, back in 20 mins 😉
Dev, you say make us like Barca and we’re “fan” owned yet they are 500million euro in debt as well so how can that be and where do the fans have a say in the running of the club to prevent such a nasty wake up call..?
That’s it. Get Bartley back from Rangers asap.
Flog Squillaci to the Russians.
Problem solved. 🙂
There’s no way in hell Sunderland will want Bendtner.
Vermaelens comments were totally changed……I’ve read what “said”,then what he ACTUALLY said……bloody big contrast, and typical bullshit from the media.
Penalties……composure in front of goal…..same thing, and you either have it,or you dont.
Plenty can score from 20 yards out with no real pressure or expectation, yet can’t handle standing opposite a keeper from 12 yards out.
An Aussie player most hate,Kevin Muscat,is THE player in history I’d want taking a penalty to save my life. Circumstances didnt matter,he’d just slot it.
It’s all about temperament.
Wolves……fuck ’em.
I admire Blackpool.
They have a manager who put his heart and soul into the club to bring some success, but didnt sack him as soon as things went bad.
They actually looked showed loyalty and appreciation for what he DID do for the club, and displayed faith he can do it again.
QPR….same,fuck ’em.
Give squilli away AK, that’s all he’s worth 😉
Hey Scott, you shooting the messenger 😉
I miss Blackpool being in the PL, Hooloway was a breath of fresh air and to this day, i love his ‘up and down like billyo’ comment 😆
Hoolaway = Holloway 😉
Nighty devil….
Not at all Rico.
There are just so many stories flying around, its hard to wade through all the crap.
Seriously,if Wenger went,I wouldnt mind seeing Holloway at the club.
I love his attitude.
Not for me Scott I like Holloway for sure but I want Arsenal people in charge of our club and there are plenty with passion, attitude and brains….!
Holloway at afc Scott, no thanks……
I’m off to watch the soaps, catch you all tomorrow…
Nighty night all, enjoy…..
Guys,i know it would never, ever happen, but at least he is his own man,and loves the attacking style of football we play.
People mention Mourinho……never, ever in a million years would i choose him.
I like Holloway Scott plays decent football dont take shit and sticks to his guns but he want an Arsenal man who would be similar and there are a few about…
I’m off… night all and take care… Take it easy Lee…!
Vela scores for Real Sociedad!
4 goals in La Liga.
today against Sevilha
Rico. Hoola Hoola Hoolaway….
That’s a JM…. 🙂
Hiya Scott.
Rico loves her soaps.
What about you mate?
Are you a Neighbours man or Home & Away???
Then again, maybe you like to go ‘hard core’….you know, Prisoner on Cell Block H…? :-). :-). 🙂
Despite all that’s been said by all parties, i’m sure, that with a bit of arm twisting, that Wenger could have got a couple more weeks out of Red Bulls and kept TH12.
Surely the promise of a game in New York would have swung it???
Two more games from TH12 could have had a lot of bearing on our season and where we finish in the EPL & FA Cup!
I hope Wenger doesn’t regret not leaning on TH12 a bit more?
