December and May hold the NLD’s, probably the fixture both sets of fans look for first. December and January are busy and will get busier as the FA Cup comes into play during the latter. At least during December, we don’t step outside London.

As for the rest, until we know the dates for the Champions League fixtures and who we face either side, it’s hard to judge just how tough other months might be.

All fixtures are tough, we know that but if my eyes don’t deceive, we don’t face two from last seasons top four in one single month. Ok, over to you guys to chat about our potential season ahead.

Bit of transfer gossip:

Arsenal are set to make an offer to sign Georgia U21 international Andria Bartishvili, according to the BBC. The 17-year-old prospect is currently at FC Kolkheti until the end of 2026 and the Gunners are reportedly set to make a pre-contract offer for the attacking midfielder.

Bartishvili is viewed as one of the brightest talents in Georgia with several clubs, including Juventus, also monitoring his situation.

That German winner had shades of Gerd Muller

Well I got that wrong! Not so equally matched.

Germany one nil down to Ivory coast at half-time.

Hmmm, Vetorri, Bond, Boult, Southee are in with a shout, Kevski. But Sir Richard was a class apart, tho’ it is Southee who holds our records across all three international formats.
We’ll wrap this one up tomorrow and see how we do in the third test when our home boy is back in your ranks.

Finished 5 – 1 , How did anyone that watched it think that Gyokeres played . I thought that he had a couple of half chances but mainly was linking the play

Netherlands/Sweden is the first non English involved game I have watched. 2 – 0 at half time.

Not particularly intense, being played at an easy pace, bit like a pre-season friendly really. Michael Oliver hasn’t managed to ruin the game yet, give him time and he’ll do his worst.

I guess this is what we can expect in an early round game between two fairly equal sides.

Fodder for the know nothing masses in the good old US of A.

Well, it looks like the England career of James Rew could possibly be a short one…

Wow! If we have a successful run next season, we might win it at home or celebrate winning it at home!

Is that when it kicks off, Potter? Or when the talkfest starts.

In a couple of years Rico, yes.

The England cricket team also needs a German 🙄

General wisdom seems to say at least one of Trossard and Martinelli will leave this summer and Morgan Rogers, maybe Barcola will come in.
Don’t know if it’s just me but they don’t seem a big upgrade on 2 important players for us,Trossard a starter,Martinelli a good squad player.

Good afternoon Rico and all

On this day in 1995, Arsenal completed the signing of Dutch forward Dennis Bergkamp from Inter Milan for a then club-record fee of £7.5 million.

Bergkamp became Bruce Rioch’s first signing as Arsenal manager and went on to become one of the greatest players in the club’s history.

Kev, Turkey had 62 shots in two games…..and no goals to show for it.

3 for 46 today, is there an element of complacency from the Kiwis today?

They should be looking for a lead of 500

Turkey have to be the most consistent underachievers in world football Rico.

We can’t be good at everything Stuart, it comes and goes in cricket, we used to have arguably the best attack in world cricket (Anderson, Broad) at one time, now we have a County standard attack, no excuses for the batsmen though because the Kiwis bowlers arent exceptional, the last world class bowler you had was Richard Hadlee, you just play sensible cricket within your means.

Morning Rico and all, I am quite happy with the draw, and to finish the season at home can only be seen as an advantage if points count and if we can win back-to-back how great would that be for the fans that travel to the matches every week to be ther.

No Kev. you were not getting soft about Scotland because the ref was really useless. He just favoured Morocco in practically all decisions. Morocco only know how to foul and as you pointed out they are a snide team. They know that they will never manage to win with skill and good football so they resort to such tactics.

Good morning everyone.

I must be getting soft because I’m feeling a bit sorry for Scotland, the referee is useless and I’ve lost count of how many late challenges after the ball is passed that the Maroccans are getting away with, they are definitely a snide team

Just put on the TV and the flowers of Scotland are losing 1-0 to Morocco 😁

I wish it was Raya. Its not everyday that a keeper gets voted the best player.

I hope Raya has a good WC if he plays. There is always the ballon d’or but not holding my breath.

Good afternoon Rico and all

Thanks for the fixtures and post Rico.

Declan Rice has officially been named Arsenal’s Player of the Season for 2025/26 after receiving 44% of the fan vote.

It’s the second year in a row that Rice has picked up the award, highlighting another outstanding campaign from the midfielder

I agree our first few games are tough,I don’t think these Friday night games suit us. Coventry at home is a good fixture, but first game of the season, and an evening kick off gives them the best chance.
You can bet the media would love them to get something. They will be hyped up alright.
Viktor G to score against his old team ?

March, April and May when the prizes are decided and secured are all winnable fixtures, which will help with our CL campaign. But we have a tough start with those opening five fixtures looking a really difficult proposition especially as a few of our World Cup players will need a good rest and might miss a few of the early fixtures, not least if we want them all fit and firing in March, April and May.

As Limey said 3 nil against Coventry , Micky Quinn got a hat trick and a box of snake and pygmy pies.
