A Double-Dose this morning, first half is from Allezkev, the second from Steve Palmer…
It’s difficult to write a report on a game, when you haven’t seen it – So I won’t.
But I’ve seen enough Arsenal games this season already, both live and on television to know where there is a major problem in Wenger’s squad.
Goalscoring!
Yes, Arsenal scored twice in the Liberty Stadium but how many chances were spurned to take that vital 2 goal lead and give us some breathing space?
How many times have Arsenal taken the lead, then failed to get that second goal and kill the opposition off?
It seems that whenever Arsenal score these days, instead of us fans sitting back and waiting for the 2nd and 3rd goal for the Gunners, we instead sit back and wait for a string of wasted chances from our players before the expected equaliser.
Why is this?
Is it a lack of quality? A lack of confidence? A lack of the required coaching during training?
Or a combination of all three?
Even Robin Van Persie missed a very good chance in the first-half but he is beyond criticism this season. 18 EPL goals in 20+1 appearances is a fantastic return from our number one striker and number one player.
Now lets look at the support that Robin has been getting from his attacking team mates this season.
The usual suspects up front have managed so far this season:
Theo Walcott – 3 EPL goals in 18+2 appearances.
Gervinho – 4 EPL goals in 15+2 appearances.
Over half the season gone and our main alternatives to Robin have got a total of 7 EPL goals between them.
Is that really good enough?
We shouldn’t lump all the blame on them, as there are others in the Arsenal squad who should be contributing more goals…..
Our back-up goalscorers Arshavin and Chamakh have been nothing short of appalling in terms of hitting the net.
Arshavin………… 1 EPL goal in 8+9 appearances.
Chamakh……….. 1 EPL goal in 1+7 appearances.
What of our midfield?
Benayoun – 1 EPL goal in 2+8 appearances.
Ramsey – 1 EPL goal in 19+1 appearances.
Song – 1 EPL goal in 17 appearances.
Rosicky – 0 EPL goals in 4+8 appearances.
Six players who have contributed a pathetic total of 5 EPL goals with over half of the season gone.
Only Mikel Arteta has a respectable return for his efforts this season; 3 EPL goals in 17 appearances.
That brings me to Ju Young Park……
Can somebody out there, please tell me what was the bloody point of signing him???
Four and a half months after his arrival from Monaco, our South Korean ‘striker’ is still waiting for his Premier League debut. Yes, he’s been on the substitutes bench for 7 league fixtures but has remained on his derriere for all those 7 occasions!
Questions have to be asked of the scouts and the coaching staff concerning the signing of Park as up until now, his acquisition has been an unseemly and unacceptable failure.
A quick re-sale, a la Kaba Diawara, is surely on the cards next summer….
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, surely he cannot be held back much longer?
No more procrastination please, no more excuses, play the boy and lets see if he can deliver…
Today showed for certain, that King Henry cannot save the day every game….
A new striker signed this month and not another Park would be welcome.
However, we all know it’s very unlikely!!
So, I think we can all kiss goodbye to 4th, don’t you?

Here is Steve Palmers view:
Swansea V Arsenal and yes, I am sorry but we have to report this catastrophe.
3.2 and we were never going to win this game, I am not going to bore you with what happened in this game as I’m sure most of you witnessed Swansea teach us a lesson in teamwork and how to pass a football.
How things change in just a short while in football, but likened to your family car, if you give it no attention it will let you down and in our case Arsenal have let all the supporters down.
Arsenal football Club has been known throughout the world of football as one of the best English Clubs in the world but sadly through lack of investment they are loosing that identity.
Many millions have been spent building The Emirates Stadium which is one of the best in England, millions has also been spent on training facilities and medical equipment to aid injured players, very impressive to the lay man and putting that all in place needs careful spending and sadly in the case of our club, it’s been at the expense of our team.
Seven years Arsenal have waited since their last piece of silverware, seven years.
The board have used all the revenue to build Arsenal the business but have sadly forgotten what Arsenal the Football Club stands for, or what it once did.
The high standard of football has deserted Arsenal FC, a lack of investment in players has seen Arsenals season start badly, injuries and suspensions made us non competitive in the first month or so but with what some considered to be astonishing luck, the team moved up from the lower depths, to the top six.
Swansea are a club newly promoted to the premier league, they are led by a man who believes in the philosophy that our own Manager used to share. A good footballing side who play a style of passing and possession.
Maybe at present not many household names are on their team-sheet but players who have been moulded together by teamwork and good training. They have belief in themselves which has been rewarded with 3 points from a once competitive Arsenal team.
Where they will build and work hard, we will persevere with overrated players who are only interested in receiving a good wage and the shirt they wear appears to mean very little!
Sadly the lack of ambition for the team from the Manager and his Board has seen us go from a good side, known for a scintillating style of passing and possessive football, to what is now, a bumbling rabble without any pizzazz at all.
The manager has stated that there will not be any new players joining in this transfer window and sadly season ticket supporters who have paid for their seat long ago, will see out the rest of the season watching what talent or should I say lack of talent that is on show today.
When I think of the performance our team showed yesterday, gives me a knotted stomach, in truth I felt embarrassed by that performance and my expectations were given a reality check!
Arsene and Ivan and the rest of them seem quite content to carry their business on in the same way, which I find intolerable and I can only see one outcome for this season if their views do not change.
I won’t be rushing down to watch them anytime soon on that performance!
Arsenal has always been my team and will always be but until the Manager and the Board start investing in quality players, I certainly wont feather their nest with my hard-earned cash!!
Speculate to accumulate Stan or its all downhill from now on and we fans deserve better!!
Morning all – Geat double post AK and SP – thank you….
Wenger says:
‘I think we also missed some unbelievable chances that are very difficult to understand and explain.’
Well go and do what we have all said you should Wenger, buy a striker who will convert these chances…!!
AK – spot on, none of our players, RvP apart can hit a barn door these days, we used to have Bobby, Freddie, Cesc, Na$ri etc etc who would all chop in with goals, hitting double fiqures most seasons, now we don’t even have forwards who can score, let alone midfield players!
Steve, that’s what hurts the most, we appear just a group of individuals who just turn up, where is the fight, passion and comittment for the club we all love? I would have thought Wenger would have learned when we were defeated by Birmingham that we need to be a team again and yesterday we were outplayed by a proper ‘team’…
And this didn’t happen overnight, it’s been on the cards for a few games, guess that is what happens when the captain goes off on a jolly for two weeks…
Ramsey is the worst. He was to blame for two goals. Runs all over the place but is soft, slow and has now power to his game at all. Just because he is UK he gets credit. We cant affoard to have mediocre players in middle of the park. If Wenger does not spend cash there then we will be mediocre. Since Wenger bought Ramsey and Walcott for lots of money at young age and neither has developed into the player he hoped they would become he needs to be men enough and admit to that and go out there and buy serious players who are already good not might be good….
Morning Guys and Chicks of the Gunners’ faith.
Great post Sir AK and Sir SP. Quality points which puts the wheels of thought into motion.
One thing I do not agree……your family car, if you give it no attention it will let you down. I always give round the clock attention to my family car. However there are moments when with all the care and attention that I give it still might let me down. So even then therefore, something or in our team someone will let us down even if we care for it properly.
I still stand by what I said yesterday. Either our players are a bunch of idiots or else there is something fishy going on. If anyone doubts me have a look at the following article……….
“Fifa is concerned for the lives of players approached by match-fixers, warning that they could pay the “ultimate price”.
It claims governments should be wary of the presence of criminal organisations in fixing and the “staggering” sums of money involved.
Chris Eaton, head of security at Fifa, said: “We are very concerned about the safety of players [and] officials.
“There is anecdotal evidence that some players have been killed.”
He added: “Match-fixing is all about stealing money. It destroys the lives and careers of many people. Governments should be interested because the amount of money is truly staggering.
“What are those criminal organisations doing? They are spending it on other criminal activities. They use money for power and power escalation.
“Unfortunately, because of the very nature, they can very quickly accumulate a large amount of money.”
Fifa, football’s governing body, will open a hotline for whistleblowers in February and offer a temporary amnesty for players who admit to fixing and give evidence.”
The article goes on to give the following example…….
“That’s why its incumbent on Fifa and global society to limit access of criminals to it. We certainly have information in some parts of the world… of threats to players who have come forward.
“Most are indicating they are under some form of threat. Often these players are under the control of a senior player, or captain, or technical coach, and these are the people we need to support.”
High-profile cases have hit Turkey and Italy.
Eaton said he does not envisage any danger to Italian second division defender Simone Farina because of the player’s high profile.
Farina has been paraded by Fifa as an example after he refused a 200,000 euro (£165,000) offer to fix an Italian Cup match between Cesena and his club Gubbio last November.
“He displayed model behaviour for young players,” said Eaton. “He resisted significant money to fix what many players would consider an unimportant fixture.”
If it happened in Italy and around the world it can happen even in England.
The above quotes where taken from the following article on the BBC

morning jonas and devil
devil, got to pop out, back around 10, sorry to desert you…
Another situation I see emerging is that although the aim of the club is to be in the top 4, in reality I feel that it wants to drop further. I might daresay that not even the Europa league place. The reason is that without Europe the following players….that is the highest earners at the club will surely go. These are RVP, Theo, Song and Arshavin. All the others do not command high wages as these 4 or are on a long term contract. As I said yesterday…..TV was sought after all the time until he signed a long term deal, so he cannot bugger off easily. But why not the above four??? Simply because selling them will bring in anything between 55 to 75 million. That’s a lot of money earned through sales and through wages. Instead AW will have his dream….that of creating teams like Ajax and Barcelona. A team nearly full of homegrown players.
The above four will go out yes…..but they will be replaced by Frimpong, Yennaris, Miguel, Afobe, Aneke, OX, Miyachi, Boateng, Coquelin, Eastmong, Henderson, Shea, MArtinez, Ozyakup etc.
That is the pattern I see emerging. Throw whatever you want at me but I feel that is what will happen if AW and the present board remain there. The only way that will change is if AW, Kroenke etc go.
Even if he buys any player in this window it will not mean that he is only buying the players. It will simply mean that he will be buying time. Time for his project to succeed and have solid foundations. Players like Fabregas, Nasri, RVP etc are not the end in themselves. They are the means to an end. And the end…although not far awy is a tough one to achieve.
I am not protecting AW or the board. All I am pointing out are few stark realities which unfortunately AFC are going through.
I came on here yesterday and said I could see where Wenger was coming from re transfers and urged a bit of patience. This morning I am just gutted. What we saw yesterday was a shambles. But for all the talk of stats etc, I tell you the biggest difference between the 2 teams – Brendan Rodgers. He has clearly got a lot more tactical nous and is better at motivating his team than Wenger.
I have never been one for jumping up and down demanding Wenger goes, likewise I will never be stubborn enough to not listen to criticism or reasons for him going….however it seems to me that he has lost his mojo. And this lack of passion seems to have seeped into the squad and if they dont have that fire in their bellies to go out and swipe aside teams, then there is clearly something amiss.
As painful as it was to watch the game last night, the grief I am getting from my Spurs mates (prefer the word ‘aquaintence’) makes it feel like salt being rubbed into the wound. Gutted.
Maybe it’s a case of looking after your family car perfectly well, and then making the hideous mistake of letting your grandad, (who in his prime was a superb driver, to the extent of winning championships doing so) have a drive of it and him wrapping it around a lampost due to his belligerent ways and lack of coordination.
Maybe…
Maybe you are right with regards to our team Rocastle. But due to the fact that only I drive my family car that is a very limited occurence. What I wanted to point out was that even if you take care of your car sometimes it still might let you down let alone if you dont.
He needs someone that can open a defence and a greedy bastard tO put the fucking ball in the net.
I’d threaten to take the keys off grandad unless he promised to fix the breaks and get 4 new tyres.
If you get what I mean.
Horrible game! Couldn’t eat my dinner thereafter. Can somebody please teach me to watch Arsenal games without expectation so I don’t keep losing my appetite after every match! This team is s**t, honest.
And not some cheap re tread tyres from some bloke from Oman, cos your mate said they do okay. Get some proper tyres, pay the extra and they’ll improve your cars performance!!!
I agree again Rocastle. But the problem is that Grandad may have made a copy of the key. It might be that Grandad is the voice of the almighty one in the family and whatever he says is the law. If Grandad (AW) decides that in his tribal family what he says goes, then if you disagree you are left only with one option…..leave the family and therefore you will be disinherited. But if you stay you have to abide by what he says. Unfortunately at the moment its like this at AFC
you have just focused on one particular point Rocastle. Just go and read the long comment I wrote above and you will see a different perspective.
BDW……I agree with all you say. Just wanted to point out the reality as it is right now.
Agreed. Someone needs to grow a pair and tell Wenger he’s wrong. Get a new number 2 in cos Pat Rice ( although an immense servant) seems to be just another yes man. We are very close to falling away. He needs to spend now.
Nothing is going to change, the board don’t want a new manger that will shake some cages and ask for transfer money, and Wenger doesn’t want to leave, earning 6million a year to do very little, would you leave?!
Nope we’re stuck I am afraid and nothing we can do about it. Our club will fall and fall.
DG not a chance Arsenals poor form is down to match fixing, don’t let Wenger get a hold of that one or we’ll be hearing it after United stuff us again next Sunday.
Morning again all, i’m still seething!!
I sincerily hope so ESP. Its that certain things keep repeating themselves ad nauseam that you get that stinking fishy feeling. I just hope you are right.
But remember, if it happened in Italy’s serie A it might happen anywhere. Do not think that anywhere is safe from that. We might all get a shock to the system to discover that it is true after all.
Good moaning HH,
well, I hate to say this, but I told you so!
I wasn’t surprised with the defeat or the performance at all,
without picking on some players we all know, they just all awful, even szchesney was guilty! the big culprits of course the board and the manager for his stubborn attitude playing the same old sh** everytime.
EastSidePaul sign me up
Its useless blaming this player or that. Do I blame Almunia for all the howlers we used to see him commit?? Poor guy. He was the means to an end and he was used. The players are told to play when the teamsheet is up and they play. The buck stops with the board and the manager and what are their aims and objectives. We can say that Ramsey was awful, we can say that Miguel looked out of his depth, we can say that Djourou this or Merte that. They are put there and they play. END of.
AW told the defence to shape up. Blimey….shouldn’t he be the one who should be doing the shaping up??? Correct me if I am wrong.
I think The Emirates will be a very unhappy place next weekend….
Can someone tell me why he is incapable of making a tactical change before 60 minutes, that alone tells me he isn’t fit to manage the club anymore.
Let’s face it, Arsenal team at the moment are below average apart from VP, Vermaelen and Song. We need a couple of world class midfielder, two quality (and I mean quality) defenders plus an exceptional striker to be able to compete for the fourth spot. As it is we will be lucky to finish 6th or 7th. If a team loses to the like of Fulham, Swansea and Blackburn will have no hope in hell to get any trophy. I never saw Arsenal plying as bad as of late, VERY SAD.
I don’t get that either Esp, i wish he’d be more ruthless and haul players off when they play badly and not fussed when…
Our problem though is we only have three subs, we need more 😉
I wouldn’t even include Song MO, not anymore….
MO below average you say????
The team which started yesterday……
Chesney…..Polish National
Djourou….Swiss National
Koscielny…French National
Mertesacker..German National Captain
Miguel….none
Song…Cameroon national
Ramsey….Welsh international captain
Benayoun….Israel national captain
Walcott….English national
RVP….Dutch national
Arshavin….Russian national captain.
Is that below average????
That team should be thumping the likes of Fulham, Swansea, etc. It should have 13 feckin points more.
I wouldn’t include song either, never to my liking, far too slow, and seems to be pretty brain dead with the needless fouls he concedes.
Our team might be good enough.. if
– We play 4-4-2
Chesney
Sagna
Koscielny
TV5
Santos
Ryo
Arteta
Wilshiere
AOC
RVP
Park.
How is that? No new signing, full team.
devil, they may be internationals but some on your list are hardly playing like they are right now….
Morning all.
AK & SP a double edged sword that even cuts the thinnest air around our club.
Devil post about the Roman-like ‘conspiracy’ to build a new empire from the ground up may have more substance than I wish for. Our senators certainly cater to a deceptive emperor.
My suspicion is we are not the main market for Stan, putting us on a different timescale in terms of funding a major overhaul.
Here’s why (don’t be surprised by the numerous familiarities you will find):
By successfully recruiting Jeff Fisher to be his football coach, Rams owner Stan Kroenke boosted his image and reputation among the team’s skeptical fans.
No. 1, Kroenke wants to win. Bringing in Fisher is a significant step in the Sisyphean effort to end the Rams’ chronic futility. It’s easy for an owner to declare that winning is a priority, but this is the Show-Me State, and action is more important than words.
No. 3, Fisher’s hiring shows that Kroenke recognized the need to raise the morale in his organization and with the team’s fan base.
The Rams employ a lot of quality people (non-football) who are good at what they do. But it’s difficult to get the public to appreciate the community-outreach programs and fan-friendly gestures when the deeds are overshadowed by embarrassing beatdowns on game day.
As for the fans, Kroenke had to do something to earn the public’s support. Rather than take the business for granted, Kroenke had to give a frustrated fan base a reason to buy tickets. Kroenke’s aggressive attempt to renovate a failed football operation should go a long way in restoring credibility that’s been greatly damaged during the drudgery of losing.
Hiring Fisher was good for public relations, but Kroenke is still flunking in another critical area.
Kroenke can’t expect fans to make a financial and emotional investment in him and his team unless he’s willing to return that loyalty.
Again, I understand why a cold businessman would stop short of issuing a full-on guarantee. But how does Kroenke expect fans and public officials to be motivated to support him and work through complex issues when he declines to convey even the slightest spirit of cooperation?
Ryo isn’t ready Esp nor is he proved, same can be said about Park
Popping off again, back shortly
A brace of top draw posts!
Moaning all…..couldn’t comment on HH yesterday as I’d of been straight into moderation!!
Shame we can’t enter the transfer market and lift a brace of top draw players!!! The mediocre shite that is being served up is beyond a joke now…..the trouble is AW & AFC are just taking the piss out of the fans! A top four finish looks beyond us and that shower up the road look like they’ll get one!! Why has it been allowed to get to this, probably because the hierarchy are still raking in plenty of cash from the most expensive place on the planet to watch a football match.
Afternoon Gooners.
Afternoon Rico.
Tbh the team we had out yesterday, from a technical point of view, should have smashed Swansea.
But you have to question the spirit and fighting qualities of many of our players.
Ok, confidence might be low, but there comes a time when you cannot keep on making excuses.
That time is next weekend.
We need a Stamford Bridgesque response from our team of babies.
Lee
Stan needs his cash flow somewhere else. Our revenue ensures he gets financial backing on his home turf. That’s where his priority lies in terms of damage control. Kroenke has no intention funding a reputation of past merits. He knows fan loyalty can be stretched over a unsuccessful period, certainly if there are ups in the down. We are only halfway through our cycle of frustration. That’s the time he needs for his Yankee sport ventures to become milking cows again.
Hiya AK.
How are you. Hope you are fine.
“Tbh the team we had out yesterday, from a technical point of view, should have smashed Swansea.
But you have to question the spirit and fighting qualities of many of our players.”
I have been saying that this morning. The team that was out yesterday should have won against Wolves, Fulham, Swansea,Blackburn. Yet in those games we lost 13 massive points…..the differrence between top spot and 5th place.
As you said we do need a Stamford Bridgesque response. But sincerily I hope we finish the season in 7th or 8th place. Drastic changes need to be made and if it entails a couple of seasons out of the champions league then so be it.
Hi AK, given a footballing lesson from a team that got into the PL via the play-offs!!!
We’ve conceded more away goals than anyone else…FFS!
Vertonghen, hazard/ goezte & loic Remy…..or would they be a waste of money as they’d all be played out of position?
I’m still livid…..
Afternoon again guys and gals…
I understand how you feel lee….
I am offski now mates. Hope to see you later on today.
Afternoon AK
Gutless, that’s what our lot were yesterday, each individual should take a long hard look at themselves and question their own career…
Kos being out paced for their winner was dire too, had that have been denilson, he’d have been slaughtered….
Monday off work because its MLK day in the U.S…..watched that pile of shit up the pub, totally fucked my weekend up!!!
And you know what, absolutely fuck all will done about it!!!
This decline has been going on for a while but who gives a toss?
laters devil, try and enjoy your day…..
Hiya Lee, Devil, Dutch, Rico.
Lee mate, we won’t be buying any of those players anytime soon…
Dev, it wouldn’t suprise me if there’s a bent referee or two in England.
If it can happen in Germany, then it can happen here.
And remember, Wenger has previous in that respect.
Maybe he can smell the back-handers…?
The loss of the CL money next season……that’ll start the ball rolling!
Not being able to attract players because we’re not in CL…..
Still our stadiums the nuts, expensive but the nuts!!
Just why he shouldn’t be our majoy shareholer DG10, the man has other interests, all of which he seems to prioritise over OUR club….
Wenger can’t keep blaming everyone else for his own shortcomings….he’s undoing his own legacy!!!
And empty soon enough lee…..
Off with Fido, back shortly….
He won’t bin the deadwood that he bought as that’s like him admitting he’s fucked it….how long was the waiter persevered with in goal for instance?
Rico that’s why I posted those snippets. 🙂
Good points made by all. I think Steve Palmer summed it all up.
My opinion, for what is is worth, is that all Wenger and the Board have done this season is paper over the cracks, with his last minute transfer buys, but unfortunately polyfilla cannot repair large holes….
The result against Chelsea had us all punching the air, but only with more false high expectations, suddenly brought back down to earth with results against, Fulham, Wolves and now Swansea. I take nothing away from these opposing teams, but not too many seasons gone by, we would comfortably be looking at beating them and in style.
We have all said about the dead wood, that needs getting rid of in the squad, we have too many mediocre players being allowed to pull on the Arsenal shirt that has been worn by such great players in the past.
I will always be an Arsenal supporter, but I for one this season, have made a concerted effort not to attend too many games, whilst this shambles continues. I have supported Arsenal since 1964 and have attended hundreds of home and away games. But maybe the time has come for more supporters to stay away and not give their hard earned cash to a Club being run by a Board of greedy Directors who clearly have no intention of investing in the type of great player, who would wear the shirt with pride and once again make us supporters proud of the team and the club.
I could go on all day about mediocre players, Chamakh, Djoureau, Dennilson, Bendtner, Arshavin, Squillaci, Mannone, Flapianski and Almunia, the list is endless. None of these players would get into any other side who occupy a top 6 position in the PL. If Wenger cannot honestly look at what he currently has in his present squad of players, and see the need to buy better players to repalce the mediocre, he really does have a serious sight problem.
Couldn’t agree with you more Marinello,
Lee the board have covered their arses for next season they got 30mil from flats that obviously ain’t getting spent on players that will cover no champions lge…. such short sighted bullshit from a bunch of pocket lining spongers who have conned us and lied to us for years….!
Hello!
I didn’t read the comments yet. Probably later. I’m agree with the post. I will post my comments later.
Maybe they could get rid of the attendance figure anouncement at the grove and replace with how much dough they’ve conned everyone out of……. It’s FRAUD!!!
They will all be patting themselves on the back in May with more record profits and telling us the debt is down another 50million, shares prices are still high so their laughing and they have dined and drunk the finest wines and champagnes all season in the directors box as the team which needs investment and quality assets stagnates and goes backwards….! They really are doing a spiffingly grand job eh…!
Pass me another Cohiba WATH, there’s a good chap! It’s a joke…..
If it was a joke mate it would be funny…… it’s anything but funny…!
Cohiba on its way….!
In any normal business environment that incompetent patronising slimy snake Gazidis would of been sacked but no not at The Arsenal, he gets a million f’kin pound bonus…… What for begs the question…? Apart from making the rest of the board a lot of money he’s done fuck all to grow the club or show ambition or intent buying quality players. He’s a complete bullshitter who has brought nothing to the club apart from an overpaid entourage of overpaid execs who milk the club of massive salaries whilst also doing sweet fa…….
Rico, check your in-box.
Off to the gym.
Hiya Wath, lata mate….
Gazidiz the biggest bullshitter of all.. he is totally useless and a good example of inefficiency and incompetence in mordern day working universe.. Kroenke have 2b with him but runs 15 clubs so poor among the owners and tries to make income with the club.
But above all the coach made up a team piled up with mediocre players and no depth at all.. I half exected we would loss but like every arsenal fan hold back and prayed for a win..
What would be the future of our club !!
Cheers AK… punch bag = board members….
Spot on ST, Assets should be on the pitch not in the bank, the board should be running a club to be successful not line their own pockets, they have seen the moeny that they can make have a business model that ticks over while they reap the rewards pay wenger top dollar to spin his stuff and keep us as close as possible without any of them actually investing a penny to make the team as good as it should be for fans who as Lee said pay the most on the planet to watch footie… utter f’kin disgrace…!
True.. total bussiness crap year after year. Why do wenger bother telling us about finances and profits. All he supposed to do is to fucking take care of the team improving it and winning matches the club and fans want is victories and silverwares. After all we are one of the biggest clubs in europe have a good stadium, good sponsers and fans who pay the most !!! yet our destitute transfer dealings and mismanagement making us a laughing stock among top clubs.
Can’t argue with any of that ST, Wenger has been allowed to “run” the club, instead of running the team he runs the club hence one of the biggest problems…! what the fuck was he doing having a say on tkt prices…????? he should be told, give us a list of players you want we will try and buy them…. Then Gazidick should go buy them BUT they happy for him to penny pinch cos makes them all more money. As Devil says watch us cash in on RVP in the summer and if you were him would you wanna stay with a club with no ambition to be the best they can possibly be…? easy answre… No way…!
That’s what he supposed to do WATH.. We got wrong people in all positios !!
Catch u lata take care..
Straight after our 2-2 you could see how much organisation these knuckleheads have. FOUR players gathering, like gnomes in a garden, at the center circle. None of them getting into a strict formation. It draws Miquel to cover acres open space in front of him (should have stayed in his position). Pulls Kozzer sideways who looks to Mert for eye contact thereby misses the cut through pass while Graham steals a march on him.
Afternoon All, and thank you all for the comments, Anyone worried about their family car please get it serviced, Things can go wrong even with loveing care as rightly pointed out, cheap parts will not always last the same time as an original, and i wonder if we may be useing those 🙂
I found that game hard to watch, but the same players let us down, We did score two goals which sounds quite good untill you remember the misses, AK’s the one with Stats so i’ll let him work that out but in my view piss poor.
😥
We are a shambles of a club.
Hi Agag, until our next game eh
After Arsenal’s 3-2 defeat at Swansea on Sunday, Thierry Henry took issue with one travelling supporter’s criticism of his team.
Arsenal beaten at their own game Paul Parker – http://www.eurosport.com
I don’t know what it was the fan said to Henry, but assuming it was nothing abusive or unreasonable then they were right to voice their frustration.
Fans are asked to pay ever increasing amounts of money to follow their club, and when they have genuine grounds for complaint it is only right they should let the players know their feelings. Arsenal got to fly home on Sunday evening and will get today off, but most of the away fans will have had a long journey back to London and will have been back at work this morning.
After so many years of being one of the top sides in the country, Arsenal have let their guard down and as a result have gone backwards.
That was illustrated perfectly by the fact that they were beaten at their own game by Swansea, a team in their first season in the Premier League. Arsenal have for years been England’s finest exponents of technical, passing football, but at the Liberty Stadium they were outplayed, outpassed and outfought in every department.
For Arsenal to have got a taste of their own medicine must be more frustrating for Arsene Wenger and his players than losing to a team that sets out to stifle and bully them. Yesterday there was no room for them to keep the moral high ground in defeat, no resting on the fact that at least they tried to play ‘the right way’.
Andrei Arshavin and Theo Walcott were both overshadowed by their wide counterparts Scott Sinclair and Nathan Dyer, while Yossi Benayoun’s performance in midfield paled into comparison with the way Joe Allen strung things together in the centre for Brendan Rodgers’s side.
For me, Walcott’s goal barely makes up for yet another ineffectual performance from him. Fabio Capello was in the crowd to see him play poorly in comparison to Dyer. Still, even if those two players play like that for the rest of the season, I would still put my money on the Italian taking Walcott to the European Championships this summer.
Swansea should be applauded for the way they have persisted with their style upon gaining promotion when many other teams have failed. Blackpool resolutely stuck to playing all-out attack last season, while Tony Mowbray’s West Brom remained committed to playing attractive football. Both teams were relegated after one year.
With a couple of exceptions, Rodgers’s side is made up of largely the same group of players that played in the Championship last season, and that shines through in the way they all play for each other and know their individual roles and responsibilities within the team.
Swansea must be a great club to be a part of right now. In a one-team city and having beaten their biggest rivals to the top flight, the club is not just representing the city but an entire country, and they are doing so with aplomb.
Perhaps the Premier League actually suits them better. In the Championship the pace and physical nature of the game is even more intense. In the top flight, players are often given more time on the ball to play their game, something which suits Swansea’s players well.
There is still a long way to go in the campaign, but Swansea do not have the air of a side that will be sucked into a relegation battle, though were they to lose Danny Graham for any length of time they would struggle without him as the focal point of their attack.
We have seen several teams impress on their first season in the Premier League, only to fade the following year. Swansea look like a club well-equipped to avoid suffering from second-season syndrome.
Usually we talk about mistakes that may have cost us, Yesterday was just one almighty mistake, and if any of our players found time to Twitter ar whatever they do, should be sacked on the spot. They should be out practicing from morn till night until they grasp how to at least pass to a red shirt.,
Crying you mean, Steve?? 😉 Good post, by the way. How the mighty are fallen. Schooled by the Mighty Swansea. Oh. God.
SAK, lack of quality breeds lack of confidence. It is the most frustrating thing watching our club these days.
Hiya, JM. Howdy?
hello agag!
Today the sun shinning but it’s cold….
🙂
Evening guys and gals, it doesn’t feel any better…..!
Hi JM Agag SP
You must be a religious devotee to still have faith in our future.
Enjoy what you can of the sun, JM. 🙂 rico, if anything, it feels worse. That performance was vey angering. Dutch, that we are chasing after CL berth is the most humbling thing!! Struggling to finish fourth now. Argh.
I’m disappointed. Again. I wonder if there is some caution in the opponents’ prior notice. I wonder if we played against Wigan, Everton and Chelsea, we played the same team and above all in the same way.
For several years, which has been identified the lack of a “killer.” Issue that has dragged on. Another is when a goal is scored, there is a general problem and inferior to any opponent. A goal is rather than the moralizing and stay on top of the game, has the reverse. Another for me is the difference in physical strength and resistance. The adversary looms because “clenches her teeth.” and makes the physical strength and want to win the technique (whatever that is on this team). Yesterday, the interval between the 10 players that was just made Kms Ramsey. In 10 players, 9 were from swansea.
In short: the team does not act as a block. It is very soft side and closes areas badly in front of the defense. When it comes to defending, must adopt an attitude identical to those of opponents, and argue that close to everyone, forcing Arsenal to play for the sides, back and not to create scoring opportunities. MU closes very well and so the opponent (technically worse, individually and collectively), rarely creates opportunities and the game is always inclined. A team that does not defend as a block, allows plenty of space and is physically disabled, calls for a reaction, where the will and the will overlap to technique or skill.
Finish 4th? Above who? which the first 4 teams will make only 25 points in the remaining matches? Dreams …
We must reach 76 points for be in the group of the four. We haven’t 40 points…
Our players must be held to account for their poor performance, JM; instead, our manager is only too quck to shield them from criticism; trying to deflect attention from our pitiful display by moaning about the pitch, the ref, a dive blah de blah.
You are right, we do not play as a unit; and our players let their head drop far too easily. So little commitment, absolutely no urgency. Grrrr.
Hi agag, dissapointing, that is to be fair an understatement 😉
As devil pointed out earlier, we are a side full of full international players, some of whom ar captains, yesterday they were just a shower of poo – how could we concede so soon after Walcott made it 2-2 – we wnet to sleep and absolutely no concentration whatsoever – every single one of those players should have been focussed and determined to get the winning goal..
They should have been, ‘over my dead body will you get another’ – nah, simple rules went out the window….
Samaras (Celtic) – wigan?
Shasiri (Basel) – Newcastle?
Nobody – Arsenal
Joke, a flippin joke JM
It is shocking, rico. When you consider all those internationals! Shocking! Our defense was rubbish about the winning goal. So few with meaningful contribution; so many deadweights.
Rico you must have seen the four players around centre circle, like gnomes in a garden. Absolutely no clue whatsoever. Couldn’t be bothered to get in strict formation.
As i said earlier agag, had Kos been denilson or squilli, they would have been lambasted for his track back….
Good Evening All You Happy People…….. 😀
Boo Agag…… or should it be boo hoo 😥
DG – they were too busy thinking about what had just happened rather than what could happen..
Or – maybe they were shocked to see Walcott score 😉
Gotta say Rico, that Kozzer was pretty poor in that situation for Swansea’s 3rd goal…..
A lack of communication.
Nobody talking.
Verm would have been organising, but the others weren’t doing their job.
Definitely 😥 AK. Last night was dire dire dire.
rico on Walcott, 😆

This guy bleeds red and white……
He was AK, he looked like a cart horse getting back….
Spot on re TV AK, just why a captain up front is not the best, i’m not knocing RvP for for his captain skills as he and TV have done so much with this lot but, had TV been on the pitch, things maybe would have different…
reality is though he wasn’t and we suffered through inexperience with both kos and ches…
FM does just that and he is spot on sadly, ther’s more chance of me running and finishing the london marathon than us getting in the top four!!
Oh, and i don’t run anymore and i certainly wouldn’t manage 26 miles in a lifetime 😉
Have to go. Laters all.
Rico they were nipping a hot cupper talking about their new nitting project.

One for Rico…. 😉
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11670/7436270/Giroud-dreams-of-England
Never heard of him.
Is he cheap???
Otherwise, forget it.
http://www.arsenal.com/news/reserves-news/41564/loan-watch-
Don’t worry!
Reinforcements are on their way…
Won’t arrive till next season… 🙁
Laters DG, knitting, i am sure they would drop a few stitches 😉
See ya, me ol’ Dutch…..
AK – you just watch Harry sign Samba, i’d rather him than JD & Merts
AK,
the summer links/stories about players is all just bloody spin no doubt, just as IG and that other slime ball Stan are thinking about raising the ST prices….
http://vkontakte.ru/video2449566_161676877
Joel Campbell’s goal
Yeah Rico, i don’t believe a word that comes outta their gobs.
Wonder if there will be a serious drop in season ticket sales next summer if prices go up and we’re outta the CL..?
The club treat the fans like sheep.
Unfortunately, the club are often right to do so.
We are, at times, mugs….. 🙁
A few stitches? Rico. Wouldn’t be baffled if they call half a sleeve a full Swedish turtle neck. 😉
Let me find a link for Chamakhs goal AK, could be in black and white though 😉
Sepia Rico?
😆
Interseting you call us mugs, you’ll see tomorrow why thanks to SSP 😉
AK, they are a bunch of lying b******s, Ivan and Stan – but as Wath has said before, AW is happy to take his £7 Million a year, so he’s not blame free, not anymore in my eyes…
More like half a sleeve left at the end DG 🙁
Tbh i’ve not been as keen on Samba as some others on here.
My choice was always my ex-mate.
But now that ship has sailed, maybe Samba would be an option.
Having said that, your right i’m afraid, Samba is as good as a Spud.
I shall look forward to reading Sir Steven’s musings.
For now, i’m offski for a spell.
See ya lata boss….. 🙂
Cahill for me too AK, but…. 🙁
I’m off for dinner too, back later
Back from training. Cold weather, rain and NE wind.
There is an article I read which says that in the 9 games that Miguel played he has been on the loosing end 5 times. With the title LOOSERS. Well they forgot to mention one thing…that when the scum bought Bale he played in 21 games before he experienced a victory.
Mates its not the young ones like Miguel, Ramsey etc who need to be bashed. Its the senior members who I do not need to mention who should be bashed.
Here it is……
http://www.talksport.co.uk/magazine/virals/2012-01-16/losers-arsenal-picture-says-it-all-right-now
-4 here devil, now that is cold 😉
i believe in the younger ones, it’s the over 21’s that bother me….
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/get-kronke-out/
You guys seen this???
The problem here is that the humidity is between 90% to 100%. That means that its worse. I have been to Italian alps with -4 and believe me its not that freezing.
Arrg, trust me devil, it’s bloomin cold for an old english country bumkin like me 😉
evening all,
Rico re Ryo, I feel he has proven himself with his performances in Holland last year, a better option that Gervinho & Walcott in my book 🙂
Maybe a better prospect Esp and i can understand why anyone would think that but the PL is a whole different ball game – look at Chamberlain, his body is already formed, he is strong and ready to face this league at his age…
Ryo is different, he maybe ready in footballing terms and with his ability but, is his body ready??
Love to see him show us all the answer to my question….
sorry Esp, evening to you too 😉

Best bit of news I’ve heard for a while….. 🙂
Hopefully one down another five to go……
Hoo-bloody-rah lee 🙂
Just the five 😉
You signed up then lee – good on you….
We got Cesc Fabregas, We got Cesc Fabregas, We got Cesc Fabregas, We got Cesc Fabregas
🙁
We don’t need Cesc Fabregas, his day is done, we just need a striker, left back, ch, winger, and even a creative midfielder 😉
Off to watch the soaps, bit more entertaining than watching the arsenal these day….
be safe all, nighty night….
From football 365, hate the site, but have to agree with this –
Another of those dark tragi-comic defeats which Arsenal have specialised in for half a decade. Without doubt, they were poor in South Wales: out-played, out-passed, out-thought. But, again, we come back to a fundamental point: with more shots on goal, and more chances made, Arsenal shouldn’t have lost.
That they did was deserved. It’s a neat trick to be deservedly beaten in a game that you shouldn’t lose, but it’s a trick that Arsenal have down to a fine art. Profligate finishing and soft concessions equalling bad times has very much become their current norm.
The most damaging of all the ugly truths about Arsenal is that teams don’t have to do much to score against them; Swansea, for all their pretty passes, fashioned one chance of their own creation all afternoon and even that owed a debt to defensive hesitation and a mistake by Wojciech Szczesny.
Tellingly, once he had finished berating Michael Oliver for an understandable mistake, Arsene Wenger railed against both the “unbelievable mistakes” made by his defence and the “unbelievable chances missed” at the other end. He’s getting there, but not as he knows it. The real problem is that those twin calamities have become all too believable at Arsenal.
Pretty spot on assessment that ESP……….. we’re easily undone, far to predictable and you know we have a manager that will never change things when we down or getting beat as he is so stubborn and one dimensional.
Ak, where you……..?????
nobody here?
Wath, i’m here…… 😀
But you’ve probably gone….. 🙁
Didn’t really have the enthusiam today.
Spent most of my time reading other bloggers comments,,,
But the club don’t give a fcuk.
I’m a bit long in the tooth [ almost as old as Wath :P: ] to let it depress too much.
But i’ve gotta say that i’m beginning to develop a real dislike of Gazides and Kroenke.
Those two clowns are totally culpable.
Everywhere i look, i can see their fingerprints on everything that is wrong at my club…
And it is my club.
Maybe i don’t own the shares, but i’ve bought a stake in my club with a lifetimes emotional dedication…
Kroenke has invested his money.
But how much of himself has he invested???
50 cents maybe?!
Devil, 6.59;
Ignasi Miquel is a fine young footballer, who was hung out to dry, by senior players who should know better, but seem to spend a lot of their time on the pitch passing the buck and avoiding responsibility…
I think Miquel will become a top defender.
I only hope he achives that distinction at Arsenal…
ESP, 7.41;
Like you Paul, i think that Ryo Miyaichi is a very very good footballer…..
Is he ready for the EPL..? Hmm a tough one….
As Rico says, he probably isn’t.
Would i prefer seeing Ryo on the left wing instead of Arshavin???
That mate, is a close call…..
I’d certainly prefer to see Oxlade-Chamberlain on the right wing instead of you-know-who……
Lee, 8.05;
That mate, is fantastic news.
Because once that idiot has left, then Wenger can’t pick him anymore…
Monaco in Ligue II is a bit of a suprise to me, but that’s Squillaci’s level….
Not so pleased about the end-bit linking us with Wayne Bridge again.
I’d rather stick with Miquel. just tell the senior players to help him out a bit….
Oh btw, Morning Lee….. 😉
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/9019070/Arsene-Wenger-tells-his-Arsenal-players-to-wake-up-as-he-seeks-solution-to-defensive-crisis.html
Don’t know if this a load of old bollocks, but the rumour going around is that Arsenal have had a £7.8 million bid accepted by Blackburn Rovers for Christopher Samba……..
Rico, does that make you happy again [ if true ]….? :P:
Fulham are reported to have made a bid to take Ryo Miyaichi on loan…
News on the wires;
Vermaelen back for ManUre.
Sagna not ready yet…..
12.35, sorry it now seems that it was a load of old bollocks.. 🙁
http://www.debatabledecisions.com/tables
Morning..
Shame about the Samba story not being true AK…
