Arsene says…….

We must have faith, well have we not heard that for the last few years, am surprised he has as yet not come out with the normal “judge me in May” comment. We are indeed waiting until May Arsene before we do indeed judge this Arsenal team but as things stand at the moment things really are not looking very good are they. I’m not going to insult a manager that has given us so much but he is in danger of now being judged as the man that threw it all away. A manager that gave us the double sides of 1998 & 2002 and of course the invincibles how can he not see this team just isn’t good enough. He know’s the kind of players needed to win trophies the attitude and commitment thats needed and yet he refuses to get us those players.  It really doesn’t add up does it. has he lost motivation, is he devastated that these young players whom he has showed such faith have let him down so badly or has he genuinely just lost the plot?.

I don’t have those answers but I know we need a few quality players for next season, ready made players not ones to add to the Emirates nursery, I don’t think we need wholesale changes like some spout but we need to get rid of the deadwood, the loanees who have no future at the Arsenal and we need to spend ALL the funds that we have availalble and that doesnt mean getting us into debt Mr Wenger is just means spending what we have and what us the fans have put into the club while we have shown you years of faith, time for some payback.

We now hear season ticket prices are going up by approx 6%, isn’t that just an insult at this moment in time and with this economy. I won’t mention players salaries that are excessive and not warranted that’s for another day. It’s about time “OUR” club realised without the fans they are nothing !.

Have a good day all.

I had to put the post up for Rico Oliver, she made me deputy just hope I’ve not done any damage to anything else, took me ages to find what she’d written am surprised its even up here… lol.

She’s still not feeling to good but in bed so thats the best place…!

  2. W.A.T.H says:

Seems like a bad case of flu Steve, she been Dr’s has meds and he said bed, tabs and sleep lots so seems thats what she doing. Rico’s post Steve I just got it up somehow…! 😉

This season tkt increase is the ultimate piss take..!

  3. W.A.T.H says:

I think there is very little to have faith in at present, if Wenger wants us to have faith the players need to show us something to put our faith into….. Commitment and hunger and fire in the belly would be a good start but then again we been saying that for a while now…!. As Oliver said yesterday, time to shut up and put up from the boss and stop all the talking just show us…!.

  4. Steve Palmer says:

Cheers Wath your a diamond, good work mate, lets hope she recovers soon, tkt prices, and Jens back, whats happening with our club, one minute one of the best run and most profitable, to downright un understandable

  5. W.A.T.H says:

Seems the club holding the fans accountable for outrageous pay increases to players that are not warranted, we’re way behind on the commercial side compared to many yet we seem to have loads at the club supposedly earning a fortune to put this right but nothing, we earn a pittance from shirt sponsorship and the ground naming rights compared to others so buy out the reamining years like the cahvs did and get better sponsors… Ooops that wont work cos sponsors want to back successful teams, ah yes big problem…!. Seems its not just Wenger who’s blinkered eh.

  6. simon says:

    “Threw it all away” ???
Yeah, what the fuck has Wenger ever done for us? You absolute mug.
Some of the venom coming from the muppets masquerading as Arsenal fans these days is truly unbelievable.

3 points off the top of the League with a game in hand with a third of the season to go. I mean seriously FFS.

Incredibly unlucky with injuries at present which has resulted in the exits from all the Cups.

Go back a week before they started with a fully fit first XI and we beat the best club side of all time.

Stop crying like a girl and actually get behind the team, after all you know cock all about being a manager.

  7. Steve Palmer says:

I must admit the thought of jens Lehman coming back at 41 knocked me sideways when all i’ve heard for years is youth from schoolboys to pensioners. I may stand a chance, i cant pass the same as Denilson i can’t shoot the same as Bentner and i’ll settle for £500 a week a snip

  8. W.A.T.H says:

Where is the venom in the post ? Well done simon keep those blinkers on fella the only mug is you, total pratt…!, all your points are if’s and buts…. grow some and join the real world seems you know cock about football.

  9. W.A.T.H says:

Incredibly unlucky with injuries for the 4th consecutive year….. Beat Barca after they had played us off the park for an hour, it’s a piss poor league and we’re still in there, imagine if Wenger had bought 2/3 players that we were crying out for at the start of the season? or are you wenger coming on here talking the same kind of shit, must be simon wenger…! there’s always one who thinks AFC was formed in 1996. Your always making shit comments and running off like a little nancy boy…!

  10. Will says:

Wath, play nice. We are all allowed our opinions.Surely it is better that you convert someone to your way of thinking than have a raging blow out?

  11. W.A.T.H says:

Will, if the bloke read the post properly where is there any venom? mentions all wengers success just now questions what he’s done lately and questions why this side is weak in comparison to what he’s built before, the bloke has blinkers glued on its quite pathetic and if he came and backed up a crap comment then fair play but he’s done it before where he calls people names and then vanishes like a tart, Have an opinion no problem then discuss it don’t talk crap and vanish. How Rico puts up with knobs like that I don’t know.

  12. Will says:

I understand that but the carrot is much better than the stick.

Make people like Simon come around to your way of thinking rather than run him off.

  13. W.A.T.H says:

Will also I am not out to convert anyone, I have views and we all have views, if someone is sensible then fair play we’ll agree to disagree but blinkered comments that your picking holes in a comment or statement is just pathetic but that seems to be the person in question. So where’s this masterpiece of yours Will..?

  14. K-TR7 says:

Howdy all.good read rico and thanks wath for putting it up.i have written off this season but id love to be proven wrong.make us believe Arsene.

  15. W.A.T.H says:

I ain’t run him off either Will, he makes a comment and then runs off which is what I am saying, if he dont agree with whats been written then make commenst adn back them up dont run off after calling ppl mugs…!

  16. W.A.T.H says:

Hi KT….. Yep totally agree, its up to this team and Arsene to make us believe and give us a reason to have faith…!

  17. K-TR7 says:

We are due some slice of luck soon.JD is maybe a sign as i was dreading fuller/jones/crouch/caroll bullying koscielny and squillaci.fingers crossed we have a full squad by the time Blackburn visit;score a couple to build momentum.its 10 cup finals now.

  18. W.A.T.H says:

KT, could be funny watching Mad Jens and Carroll going for a cross 😉

Lets hope the news on JD is true and he back for blackburn, if we are to have any chance what so ever we need as many fit as possible but WBA ain’t gonna be easy either and yet again its down to turning up and showing some fight and commitment….. will we is the big question..?

  19. W.A.T.H says:

Who else was there that we could of got that would be half reliable KT…? someone’s third choice or another kid from somewhere…? Think our options were greatly limited.

  20. K-TR7 says:

WATH our players just need to show that commitment and fight.if they lose after trying their best we won’t have any problem.watching denilson accompany valencia for over 40 yards in the buildup to the 2nd goal was painful.just like last season Stoke away in the FA cup and at home to the mancs when the ref outran him as shrek scored.if mad jens was there denilson would have got bollocked thats for sure.

  21. W.A.T.H says:

Nice one Will, am sure Rico will get it up ASAP. Totally agree KT, loosing is one thing but to just turn up go through the motions and show no fight or commitment is what I can’t accept.

  22. K-TR7 says:

I can imagine jens pinning denilson to the wall in the locker-room wath…i also loved how he’d rather get a yellow card than allow the likes of Samba to bully him at set pieces.

  23. W.A.T.H says:

Hopefully Jens will leave denilson hanging on a clothes hook KT 😉

Ask Rico to proof read it Will and am sure she’ll get back to you if anything jumps out at her.

  24. Tristam says:

I don’t quite agree with the general sentiment that we simply have to spend all the available funds. Wenger will probably tinker with the squad in one or two positions but, in general, the situation looks rather healthy. Assuming that nobody of the core players leaves, natural progression will make the squad stronger even without buying. It may not be a popular idea right now but, looking at our squad, I really find very little room for new players to come in.

Goalkeeping: no action required, with Szczesny and Fabianski competing for number one and Almunia/Mannone/Shea providing emergency cover.

Defence: no action required. We have three excellent and still improving central defenders for two starting places, plus Bartley will come in and compete with Squillaci for the second backup position. The situation with fullbacks is also just about right. Sagna and Clichy are among the best in the business, and we cannot sign anyone better than Eboue and Gibbs as cover and expect them to sit on the bench.

Midfield: Denilson will probably be sold, as he is already behind Wilshere and Diaby in the pecking order and would be behind Ramsey as well in the next season. In fact, Ramsey will be his natural replacement from within and will improve the squad immensly without us spending anything. Lansbury will be back with us as well as additional cover and starter in cup games. There might be a case for buying another central midfielder in the mold of Song, but not before the manager has considered the recovery of Frimpong and the development of Coquelin.

Wide forwards: some action can be expected here. Nasri and Walcott will be excellent as first choice, but Rosicky will almost certainly be replaced. However, it is likely that he will be replaced by the combined talents of Wellington and Miyaichi – replacing one player with two will increase the likelihood of at least one of them adapting quickly and doing well. Arshavin is tbe big question mark in this position. I feel that, if Wenger decides he cannot regain his best form or he himself decides to move on, we will certainly buy an experienced replacement.

Central forwards: the addition of Chamakh has already corrected the main problem in this position, namely, the lack of a player with similar qualities to van Persie in supporting others in attack. Surely, Chamakh will eventually find his form again, and the only question remains, what to do with Bendtner. Wenger seems to like him and would probably keep him, but I feel that his ego demands a greater role than he will be able to get at Arsenal and he will move on. He would then have to be replaced with a purchase.

To sum up, my prediction is that we will sell Rosicky, Denilson, Arshavin and Bendtner in the summer, but will buy only two replacements. Other replacements and reinforcements to the squad will come from within and, looking at the drive and energy of Ramsey, Frimpong, Lansbury and Miyaichi, I am pretty convinced that they will remove some crucial weaknesses from our second string behind the already excellent first eleven. The weakness of the second string has been the main problem this season and it will be corrected, just as the over-reliance on van Persie was corrected in the previous summer. It does not guarantee trophies, nothing does, but it improves our chances and, at the end of the day, there is not much more a manager can do.

  25. K-TR7 says:

Tristam thats probably what will happen.at least it seems all of us agree on the deadwood that needs to be rid off.id also like us to buy a forward that can outpace defenders like henry usually did.rvp can’t do that but very few players can offer more at CF more than he can.it will give us a whole new dimension too.

  26. W.A.T.H says:

Tristam, interesting thoughts but you think the defense is ok when TV hasn’t played all year bar the first month and squidgy really isnt good enough, we’re crying out for a quality centre half so that Kartley and Miguel can improve without to much pressure to quickly if they get thrown in at the deep end with our usual yearly injuries?. As for upfront we’re gonna lose bendtner hopefully yet we’re also still short of an out and out goalscorer ?? Chamakh if he finds his early season form will be good back up to rotate but we need another quality striker in my opinion also same with central midfield, as I think we need to jettison more than just Rosicky n denilson, add diaby to that and ebouieee as well as we have far to many good young players coming through to keep squad players just for the heck of it. This would improve the quality of teh 2nd string but to do that we need to spend the money that we generate not throw it in the bank and count it once a year. Oh and please we need to get rid of the waiter with Chez and Flappy as 1 and 2 in the keeper ranks…!

  27. W.A.T.H says:

Tristam, the otehr problem is we prob wont get Miyaichi or Wellington in the next year or so due to work permit hassles so thats the problem with not having width and speed when Theo is out.

  28. K-TR7 says:

I also think we need an experienced international central midfielder similar to the likes of cambiasso/van bommel who would be of great help to our young CMs in crunch ties.

  29. K-TR7 says:

I hope TV comes back fine.missing a whole season of football can wreck a career as dudu and rosicky have shown.lets hope he comes back even stronger like JD.

  30. Lee says:

gotta laugh at some of the newsnow headlines…”Niklas Bendtner eyed by blackburn in £15m move after missing out on Kaka!!!”

  31. W.A.T.H says:

Must admit this injury to TV is a big worry KT….. The fact they really didnt know the problem is a problem or did they just want to keep it quiet..? Van Bommel in an Arsenal shirt would miss half the season suspended KT 🙂

  32. K-TR7 says:

I agree WATH and thats why i and jj would like us to sign hazard.he is very quick and much more skillful than theo.the problem is that he may take a while to adapt if he comes.Botelho also seems to a wideman in the mould of Bale but unlike Bale he’ll have to play further forward where space is minimal due to how teams park the bus against us and he may struggle.Arsene needs to sort that area out.

  33. K-TR7 says:

Id take that WATH over watching denilson get outran by Atkinson.he would also give as good as he gets.we need that dark side…

  34. W.A.T.H says:

I have seen you and JJ getting excited over hazard KT, as I think I said to you before the thing with him for me is that he’s also a bit of an inbetween, he’s not a winger and he’s not a striker, granted he’s more skillful that Theo yet not as quick yet he’s aslo not a striker who will score 15 goals a season, if we got him where would you then play him and as what..? or do you think he is a winger..?

  35. K-TR7 says:

The scout that recommended denilson to us mugged us.denilson got a special talent visa but cech/ronaldinho/di maria couldn’t when we applied…such is life.

  36. agirlagunner says:

Boo! Still feeling under the weather, rico? That’s not good. 🙁 You go get well! 🙂 I agree, it’s mostly the attitude and commitment of our players that leave much to be desired.

Hola, WATH. Good job, pinch-hitting. Pretty soon, you’ll be writing for rico, too. 😉

Hey, KT, I’m still so depressed about our team, I haven’t bothered to read anything, anything at all. 🙁

  37. W.A.T.H says:

Exactly KT, how can that be when the others mentioned couldnt get one along also with Wellington and Miyaichi….! Funny how the mancs always get theirs…!

  38. K-TR7 says:

WATH he is exactly like Ronaldo who mourinho described him as you have.this makes him invaluable as he can cut in and shoot or burn the fullbacks for pace and put in a cross.walcott does that on the right but nasri only seems to cut inside making him abit predictable.in some games having both walcott and hazard in wide areas could be devastating as they have variety to attack in different ways.such a combination could be very effective if we are to face teams like barca in future.

  39. K-TR7 says:

WATH ryonaldo is doing very well for Feyernood but wellington isn’t doing the same for levante.wellington must remember talent only isn’t enough to make it in the top level.Attitude is a vital component.Quaresma was more talented than Ronaldo but the latter is more successful due to his attitude.Ronaldo is always the first to arrive in training and the last to depart.despite his flaws he deserves to be where he is because of his attitude and dedication to improve his game.

  40. W.A.T.H says:

So you’d play Hazard wide left KT…? U reckon thats his position…? Not chuffed the belgian coach said he’s lazy though…..?!?! we got enough of them.
Seems Wellington didnt have probs at Arsenal but then not getting his permit has given him the hump and now he is homesick etc which he seemed to be dealing with at Arsenal but not at a team where he didnt expect to be. Just a thought..?

  41. W.A.T.H says:

Allo AGAG, see I always come to your rescue 😉

Me write, not a hope in hell….! It’s bad enough being made deputy especially when the Sheriff runs off into the sunset n leaves the jailhouse unguarded 😉

  42. K-TR7 says:

WATH i think thats his best position.he may have to up his workrate if he is to make it with us though.

  43. W.A.T.H says:

Oh stop your crying I came and got you didnt I….? typical impatient woman…! 😛 Now behave or I’ll throw u back in there 😉

  44. W.A.T.H says:

KT apart from u-tube have you seen many games on tv that he has played in…?? does this belgian coach have a point or not really or don’t know..?

  45. Tristam says:

W.A.T.H, yes, TV might struggle to come back to his best at the end of this season but the summer should give him enough time to gain proper match fitness. It is worth remembering that our defensive performance this season is on par with ManU, even without TV. It shows that we can cope with one long-term injury in central defence. There must be a chance that we will eventually have one season without such an injury.

I think Eboue and Diaby have some useful qualities and are worth keeping for a while. Diaby can be quite good when playing with Song and Cesc. His partnership with Denilson obviously does not work, but he can complement other types of players fairly well.

K-TR7, if Bendtner goes, it will be interesting to see, what type of striker Wenger will go for. I agree that a pacy goalscorer would give us a new dimension, but it remains to be seen if such a player will be available for a reasonable price.

The work permit issues of Miyaichi and Wellington are a concern. I think we can make another attempt to apply for the permits for the next season and at least get Miyaichi.

  46. K-TR7 says:

WATH thats no excuse.wellington should know thats life and he should deal with it.even in Brazil he was known for his bad attitude and no one shed a tear when he left.Reyes would have won the Ballon d’Or with us if he had learnt how to deal with his homesickness.he’ll have to toughen up if he is to fulfill his potential.

  47. allezkev says:

Hiya Gooners. KT i think the problem with Wellington is similar to how Botelho behaved when he came over. I suppose there is an element of disappointment for these lads, and he is only 17, one minute your off to Arsenal, next thing your dumped in Levante. I think, and hope, it’s just a maturity thing, and as with Pedro ‘Bale’ Botelho, it’ll all sort itself out with him growing up a bit.

  48. K-TR7 says:

Imagine if we had kept flamini-sicky-cesc-hleb midfield and reyes had kept his mummy issues in check…we’d have won several PL titles and a CL.FACT!

  49. K-TR7 says:

Tristam i’ve been a diaby fan for quite a while but am also running out of patience.when ramsey gets fully fit diaby will go down the pecking order.

  50. W.A.T.H says:

Tristam, think diaby has run out of time for a lot of ppl and for me I’d much rather have Ramsey, Lansbury, Frimpong and Coquelin given the same chances diaby has had. If I was to keep one out of all the ones mentioned funnily enough it would be Ebooooie as I think the fella is a good squad man, he never compains and is always full of encouragement for the team. Agree re Reyes KT but THdidnt like him did he so he really didnt stand a chance despite being a mummy’s boy…! Hear what your saying with Wellington and lets hope AK is right that with a bit more maturity he’ll come right.

  51. allezkev says:

Tristam, as far as the work permit scenario is concerned, i’m sure we’ll get Ryonaldo first as he is due to play for Japan, and should soon rack up enough caps to qualify for a work permit, but i suspect it’s going to be a bit longer for Wellington, and as with Botelho, the need of a Spanish passport.
    Good post Rico/Wath

  52. K-TR7 says:

WATH i was a massive Reyes fan.in our CL run he was absolutely magic at the Bernabeu.he had the world at his feet and maybe to an extent Henry felt threatened.he was Ballon d’Or quality.red nose sent the neville to kick him but the ref didn’t even protect him.its a shame as he would’ve been an Arsenal great.

  53. W.A.T.H says:

I’m just the deputy AK i just somehow got the thing up and posted……. Now to keep AGAG out of spam and stop her moaning at me….!

  54. allezkev says:

Looking forward to the letter Will. Maybe Rico will use it as a post?
As far as strikers are concerned, those Brummie tossers cost us the ideal candidate. Notwithstanding the CC, i really hope they go down, and then go bankrupt…. Not that i’m bitter!

  55. W.A.T.H says:

I agree KT I liked Reyes lots but he made things worse with the way he whored himself to Real as well, Nevilles finished him off and still annoys me we let them do it too him.

  56. K-TR7 says:

The dismantling of cesc/flamini/hleb/rosicky axis must have set us back 2 years at least.that midfield was absolutely phenomenal in 07/08.they deserved the CL and PL that year.

  57. W.A.T.H says:

AK am with you, cant stand them or that jinja manager of theirs I too hope they go down and stay down…!

  58. W.A.T.H says:

If I vanish 4 a bit its cos have to do some work and try pay the bills but I won’t be long hopefully but am trying my best to get out of working 😉

  59. allezkev says:

You know KT/Wath, i blame Wenger for the semi-final GBH, AW left Reyes out to dry, he wasn’t ready for those Manc thugs, and i think it soured his view of English football. As far as the ref that day is concerned, well they’re all a bunch of muppits, we get FA protection from them. Useless, the whole lot… Not that i’m bitter.

  60. K-TR7 says:

As much as i hate to admit it;we miss Ade.when he was on song he was unplayable and was always a threat as he played on the shoulder of the last defender.we lack a pacy CF to make those runs.rvp can do it sometimes but his lack of raw pace at times means he can’t do it consistently.chamakh used to do that when the season began and thats why he won so many penalties but doesn’t do it anymore.bendy can do it but his first touch lets him down.i hope we get one such player.

  61. Lee says:

I’d like to see benzema join us…mourinho’s gonna leave madrid at the end of the season, maybe we can do a denilson/nb52 two for one sketch???

  62. allezkev says:

Just seen Lansbury’s goal from last night [young guns,in the comments for link] a quality finish. Got high hopes for that lad, he makes those late runs into the box, that so many of our players never seem to do. He isn’t afraid to have a shot, really like the kid.

  63. allezkev says:

Lee, i know mate, but maybe, just maybe, we’re seeing the fag-end of those ‘ususl suspects’ who’ve continually let us [and Wenger] down. I’m really hopefull Lee, that next season we’ll finally see Wenger begin to integrate some of our talented loanees etc into the squad on a regular basis.

  64. allezkev says:

Oh no, you’ve done it now Lee, i can smell all those spices, the puppadums, onion barges, chicken tikka, lol.

  65. allezkev says:

Seems Arsenal are disputing the claims of the Swiss FA re:JD. AFC say he’s going to see specialist Thursday and then it’s gonna be an operation for JD. Wonder if it’s the same specialist who sorted out Theo?

  66. allezkev says:

You know Lee, as much as we’d want him back in a couple of weeks, it’s not worth JD risking a more serious injury. I don’t trust any national FA, they’re all parasites…

  67. Joaquim Moreira says:

How much does a normal ticket? 6% is a big increase … It seems that it is also a consequence of early elimination in the CL and the impossibility of the year to be seeded in the CL.
I think there are two fundamental points: a) Arsenal played over 40 games this season plus the international national matches (friendly or not. that the last 13 players were selected). This gives an average since September, 2 games per week. The speed with which he played in August / September is totally different now. (gone are the days of 6-0 to blackpool, Braga …). And yet there was already injured. What happens is that there were so many and especially the physical freshness was another. b) The model of the Arsenal game, which requires to be successful, speed area near the opponent. Without it, is doomed to failure as explained in previous post.
Tristan: Rosicky is at the the end of his career and his contribution was high ; Arshavin seems to me that is not being optimized . It is worth much more in the left flat, with its speed and is a factor of imbalance. Moreover, the few who is not afraid to shoot. The trend to ever play the middle in short tables, ignoring the extremes has been a constant error When Walcott play, banking on his speed; when play Arshavin, not doing the same on the left. Brendtner is a special case. he has to play more, but also has to try harder. It’s not a regular player. It seems to me with wide swings of temperament. I’m puzzled when I see a player playing in gum. I never realized how it is possible to reconcile the commitment to the game with chewing gum. Denilson, there is a good player but lacks anything. It seems that when it fails, there was the presence of denilson. When everything goes right, Denilson went unpunished. The borrowed players have no opinion. I noticed that Vela is no longer part of the elite. Arsenal needed a Hulk (Porto) and Gameiro, with the output of Rosicky. The rest, quiet. AW forget that the market is the most economical South America, where are all the solutions. (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia,…)

  68. K-TR7 says:

JM you have picked up a very good point about us having the tendency of playing through the centre most of the time.if we are to implement the dutch system we have to make the pitch as big as possible when we have the ball.when walcott isn’t there no one stretches the opposition backline.thats why we need another speedy wideman.i also agree with you that we need a goalscorer with raw pace to add a new dimension.

  69. W.A.T.H says:

JM spot on with through the middle ALL THE TIME…. we lack width for sure and when teams park the proverbial bus we are forever trying to pass the ball through teh eye of a needle instead of getting behind the fullbacks and getting quality ball into the penalty box. For that we need two good wide men yet we have players that only want to come inside. To right Lee the work lark is a total pain mate but think I have managed to delegate 😉 lansbury is a grafter AK and will be good for the squad next year for sure

  70. K-TR7 says:

We should only make the pitch smaller when defending.when attacking stretch play as much as possible.our fullbacks will also have to start contributing more in terms of goals/assists if we are to move up a notch.the likes of lahm/alves do that.sagna is improving but clichy sadly contributes very little in attack.

  71. agirlagunner says:

Took you long enough, WATH. I’ll register a complaint with the site owner; the deputy is alienating one of her regulars. 😉 I’ll make sure it’s strongly worded as now, I don’t even have anyone to talk to. 😛

  72. W.A.T.H says:

See always moaning and you got taken out of spam and then vanished for a few hours, no gratitude 😛

  73. W.A.T.H says:

KT, your right Clichy is pretty average and needs lessons in crossing, maybe a bridge may help him cross…!

  74. agirlagunner says:

Why did I even go into mod in the first place? 😉 I hold you directly responsible for unnecessary online shopping, Deputy. 😛 Tut tut.

KT, Clichy is a keeper. 🙂 He may have poor positional sense quite often, but he’s still miles ahead of Gibbsy. And doesn’t moan either. I haaaate moaners.

  75. K-TR7 says:

What happened to gibbs?he looked like a deer in the headlights.he has regressed so much its unreal.

  76. agirlagunner says:

I reckon KT, he’s not going into challenges, and not working at full capacity because he’s has in his mind previous injuries. 🙁

  77. W.A.T.H says:

Gibbs needs games KT, he also needs a bit of support from in front of him…..!

I reckon you went into moderation as the system knew u were a troble makes Miss AGAG 😛 As for shopping am surprised you didnt thank me for being the perfect excuse to shop yet more 😉

  78. K-TR7 says:

Why is it that we have very few youth prospects at RB but at LB we seem to churn them out one after the other?

  79. K-TR7 says:

Wath what do women do with all those handbags anyway?some are huuuuge!…i bet you could fit denilson in one of those.

  80. agirlagunner says:

Not nearly enough, I would say. 😉 Tomorrow, you can spam me for a bit (not too long though), WATH, so that I can shop some more 😉

KT, believe me, you will learn to live with that.

    Any news on our team??

  81. K-TR7 says:

I bet if denilson was left alone in the locker-room after a weekend game you’d find him there Monday as he would not use the front door.

  82. agirlagunner says:

Just live with it. Women buy because they can. No point complaining unless you’re paying. Hmmm. Sounds suspiciously like a real life conversation.

  83. K-TR7 says:

Agag its all silent at the moment.fabregas and walcott may not make the brom game but Song is definitely out.Vermaelen has been training hard in amsterdam and is due to return to the club for further tests in the next 3 weeks to determine if he’ll play this season.djourou is set for a surgical consult on Thursday.bendy is back.szczesny and mannone should be back around the time we play the spuds.

  84. agirlagunner says:

KT, it depends on the price point. 😉 Too expensive means I’m not paying.

    Will, cheeky! 😉

  85. W.A.T.H says:

Hmmm very strange, it’s not just you AGAG the silly thing just put KT into spam now as well. I’m such a good deputy 😉

  86. JonJon says:

    bonjour my good people..
well done again rico and well done wath…although im abit concerned about the power trip wath may get from this..i can see a few of us being binned 😉

i though tristams post earlier was very good..i think they had it nailed on the head apart from we do need another cb…frimpong and coq are for the future so id like a cm in the mould of song for the now..
a tricky winger and a striker too as well as those players tristam said to be promoted and about 8 players leaving will do nicey…

also agree on the hazard thing..wide left..

  87. agirlagunner says:

We are bored, Will. Hence, the desultory conversation.

Oh you boys have much to learn about managing your women. Tut tut. KT, there’s hope for you yet. 🙂

I despair of you, sir, you make me buy even your GG. (sighs) Oh, and for the record, I always, all ways get, WATH. 😉

  88. agirlagunner says:

Nah, that’s a bit premature. Maybe the fifth date. 🙂 That will also allow you to save more. 😀

  89. agirlagunner says:

    Hi, JJ and bye JJ.

KT, it’s all cost-benefit analysis. That’s math and econ and stuff, and exactly your forte. 😛

  90. W.A.T.H says:

    JJ. . . . . . . . . I am the waver of the magic wand 😉

Bin you……….. hmmmmmm well if I only knew how 🙂

AGAG, you can have all you want as long as I get all I want first, quid pro quo 😉

  91. W.A.T.H says:

Tristams comment was well thought out and a good read JJ, as you say I’d still say we need a CB and central midfielder along with a striker and a winger and then we are most def 100% sorted…..! We can but dream cos it’s not gonna happen.

  92. K-TR7 says:

Did you hear that one day van Gaal dropped his trousers after a bayern game and grabbed his balls asking his players if they had any?…maybe Aw should try that.

  93. JonJon says:

    hi agag bye agag..

i think lansbury and rambo have alot to offer wath
as well as jet and kyle weve got better options in house to replace the deadwood we have at the minute

but we do need ‘fresh meat’ as it were..
a few qaulity signings as well as those lads and we are set for next season…

like you say our wet dream is the clubs worst nightmare and although im hoping our recent collapse would give those at the top a kick up the arsenal i dont think it will…

i think the likes of denilson will be sold but i dont see any major changes from the club i can only see a few of the lads being promoted and although its not what i want totally, i’ll settle for denilson being kicked in the balls and rambo and lansbury to come through..
    its better than fuck all..

  94. JonJon says:

im caught between a rock and ahard place tonight fellas
i want utd to be knocked out tonight by marsielles so i can piss myself laughing but i want them to go thru so they have more games and they dont totally piss on us..

  95. W.A.T.H says:

Totally agree JJ, Aaron is proper, Lansbury looks to have fire in his belly and Bartley has had a decent season also learning the ropes, Seems JET has an attitude problem but a season to see if he knuckles down is more than he deserves seeing as diaby has had 3 to come right.

  96. W.A.T.H says:

I want the mancs to go thru on penalties get a few injuries and that will do me, they’ll win 5-0 now I’ve said that

  97. K-TR7 says:

Hi jj.marseille have gone over 500 minutes of CL footy without conceding.it is the best defensive record in this season’s tournament.

  98. JonJon says:

if vela would have got the gametime when he was knoking in hatricks in cc might have done the same
    but no
weve been forced to watch niki whilst vela gets to go score for w brom instead

  99. JonJon says:

if we take our chances on sat we win
if marsielles take their chances tonight they are in the lead..
    utd have finishers
we need to get us some of those..

  100. K-TR7 says:

We have better players but unfortunately apart from our best 11 the rest go about their business casually.

  101. JonJon says:

    most consistent team wins pl
    not necesary the best..
utd are crap but they have been consistent (up until now)
weve been up and down all season it wasnt until we got our first team fit we got going and got to second..

  102. JonJon says:

they would be to any team
    but fergie somehow copes..
has abandoned the flair and gone back to 80’s footy and doesnt give a shit as long as it wins him trophies

  103. JonJon says:

same old same old though lee..
takes us 100 shots to score one most games..we hit everything at the keeper..
the gks who play us aint motm they just make the saves they are expected to make cos we always hit it down their throat…

  104. W.A.T.H says:

He would indeed Lee, be an ideal signing for a few seasons til Aneke comes through and who better to show Chamakh the ropes and also teach Theo a thing or two….!

  105. Lee says:

I read earlier someone came on slagging people on here but IMHO he got the wrong end of the stick….people on here generally just want to tweak the squad not make wholesale expensive changes!

  106. W.A.T.H says:

Lee, That would be the dickhead called simon, he comes on makes one comment to annoy and disagree with everything the post says and then vanishes again. He’s a yid I reckon just takin the piss….!

  107. Joaquim Moreira says:

MU: two players out..they have played Saturday… the same problem… is not only Arsenal…
The difference last Saturday was also the goalkeeper.

  108. Lee says:

Pretty even….. marseille should be at least level…. Remy just started playing through the middle looks good

  109. W.A.T.H says:

Lee, he does the same thing all the time, gives it the big wenger knows crap, calls everyone mugs and shit fans and then vanishes….! I have a plan for his next visit….! 😉

Rooney and Nani would of been better. . . . . Shame

  110. allezkev says:

Lee, your earlier comment about the worst champions etc, gotta say that’s crossed my mind also. I’ve seen all the Arsenal Champions since 1971 and this mob would have to be the least impressive. Mind you, i’ll still be outside Islington Town Hall cheering my head off if they do it!

  111. JonJon says:

vidic did his calf v us
shea and rapheal done in this one
    utds defence dropping like flies

    drog or etoo

  112. W.A.T.H says:

Calf strain, shit, shame that wasn’t a hammy KT 😉

My plan will make you laugh Lee. . . . . . We’ll see what happens the next time he decided to post a smartarse comment. Def the least impressive AK…! By quite a margin actually.

  113. W.A.T.H says:

I’ll be very nice JJ 😉 It was the first thing that came to mind this morning but didnt know how but with a little messing this afternoon I know full well what he’s getting next time…!

Ooops 2-3 JJ sorry abt ya bet…! I like seeing the krauts upset as well, good…!

Careful what you say Lee we’ll end of getting stuffed on saturday…!

  114. JonJon says:

rio might as well be out for season
    vidic calf is 2-3weeks
o shea rapheal hammy is 3-4
evans back soon another week away

which leave brown evra and fabio

  115. allezkev says:

KT, no mate, it has to be the Chavs, give Barca to the Scummers, then the Mancs can have Barca in the semis

  116. W.A.T.H says:

Barn doors and bendy go well although he’ll tell you least he can ski…..! JJ even if those players out for 2 weeks least it makes it a little harder for them but then again here we are wishing them injuries cos we not good enough….!

  117. JonJon says:

we better stop saying nikkis shit
    blackburn apparently wanna pay 15mil
dont wanna put them off.. 😉

  118. W.A.T.H says:

I like that draw JJ………. that would be perfect…! Can see chavs mancs def kickin lumps out of each other as well…!

  119. W.A.T.H says:

JJ, that indian mob that bought blackburn have a massive chicken biz… maybe they think bendy is a prized cock….!

  120. JonJon says:

mancs v city semi will be interesting as well
    city v chelsea saturday…

utds defence got pointy elbows elmander and sturridge sat..

we gotta do brom injuries or not theres no excuse

  121. JonJon says:

ive been urging will to ask rico if she wants it for a post…
if he wants it around the blogs it needs to be a headline post on newsnow and not just another comment on a blog that only the regulars will see…
besides..hes been working on it for a few days i think it needs to be a post 😉

  122. W.A.T.H says:

Will sent his letter to Rico Steve as he wanted it proof read, then she’ll do it as a post I think or what ever Will wants done with it. It’s all quiet on Theo maybe he’ll make Saturday..? maybe not though he’s a bit fragile as well eh…!

  123. W.A.T.H says:

Got a mail from her this morning Steve and she said the tabs have knocked her for six so she’s just staying in bed til she better, best place if ur ill.

  124. Steve Palmer says:

It sems that all the christmas football has knackered everybody, about time they changed all that

  125. W.A.T.H says:

Am sure plenty sleep and a few days on tabs will soon sort her out, least we not playin midweek to upset her and make her sick again 😉

  126. allezkev says:

Wonder how many £150 tickets UEFA will sell if the final is Schalke Vs Shaktar, i’d piss myself, and Platini would pass out

  127. W.A.T.H says:

How many 300 quid tkts u reckon they’d sell AK…? the whole thing is such a con but we’ve already done that one… 😉

  128. JonJon says:

    yeah wath u a natural…
i reckon you should pop a wath post up 😉
that will get all the simons and joshuas in the world on 😉

  129. allezkev says:

Gotta say, you’ve done a good job today Wath, could be a regular job in the pipeline for you mate!

  130. W.A.T.H says:

JJ you know and I know I ain’t doing no posts, don’t know how Rico has the patience with so many plebs about….! I found the banned button JJ so you know how long some would last eh 🙂 I’ll stick to the sidelines it’s more me !.

  131. Anthony Timothy says:

Wenger is the problem. Get rid of him.problem solved. It aint easy as that. Me believes if he were sacked,he will contrive to bring some of the gunners with him, that is if he is still a football manager.

  132. Will says:

Sorry Anthony, I disagree, Wenger is still the man, he just needs a “minder” to remind him that our objective is winning.

  133. JonJon says:

if we replace wenger then who exactley comes in??
    cant think of that many…
can only think of guradiola but hes not a manager hes a coach we’d need wenger upstairs for someone like guardiola..
lets not get this wrong..wenggers done a good job and the infrastucture of the way the club is run is an excellent system..
the problem as i see it is..that system is being abused by certain ppl..
the money that the club now makes needs to go back into the team…thats what we moved to the emirates for..
not to spend less money we did at highbury, not to keep developing kids all the time..
but to buy a superstar every year and afford his wages..not pocket the cash and give all the wages to many many many stockpiled average players instead..we could have stayed at highbury and done that..
wenger out isnt the answer..wenger change is…

  134. W.A.T.H says:

But wenger won’t change JJ. . . . . . . He has no reason to and most of all no pressure to…!.

There are I’m sure a few managers who would do a great job dont forget who was wenger when he joined, who was GG…?

  135. Will says:

Wath, this is why I say Wenger needs a strong man at the club to remind him we are in the business of winning and not so we can work on his experiments and theories.

  136. W.A.T.H says:

There you go JJ…………… No messing, go get the Drog….! 😉

Oh and how rude of me, Mornin chaps 😉

  137. JonJon says:

i think we;d be making a mistake booting wenger out now..
hes got his flaws and he pisses everyone off but to replace him now??
we are still second in the pl its not like we are out of top 4..

  138. Will says:

    Morning.

I still think Wenger is the best manager in world football, what he has done in the last 14 years with the money he has had is nothing short of a miracle but hhe needs someone next to him that tells the truth about certain players.

  139. W.A.T.H says:

Will, there is noone at the club who will do that !! Its what you would think would be in place for a business such as Arsenal BUT wenger seems to have free reign with no targets that are fan related just targets that are board related and in line with financial expectations.

  140. W.A.T.H says:

JJ, he ego does not is seems allow for him to be told that he might be wrong or that surely we need to change tactics for this game or that game…… It’s why as been said before he is surrounded by “his” people.

  141. JonJon says:

    too many yes men
nobody to ask who the fuck is 15 yr old billy mcpotential is and point in the direction of the drog when wenger and gazidis are having wanks over buying a striker

  142. Will says:

That is what I am saying JJ. We need someone in the set up that says “No Arsene, we need a top class blah blah blah”, tell me who you rate and I will go get them.

  143. W.A.T.H says:

In that case we need two ppl Will, a strong Boss who Wenger is accountable to and another in the set up to question wengers tactics (or lack of) and players choices for specific games etc etc etc…….

  144. W.A.T.H says:

They were/are mates JJ, not sure if DD did that or just manged to put across his point of view which others are unable to do…!

  145. W.A.T.H says:

I had an email earlier from her ladyship saying she’d get one up before 11 as she was feeling a little bit better but still not good. Said didn’t hurt to look at the laptop this morning so would do a post and save me from kickin ur arse to do one 😉 Your’s would be abt barndoor and your mate flamster 😛

  146. W.A.T.H says:

The fans have no voice JJ we are just an irritant !! Dictatotship is what I said to AK earlier in the week, Sounds abt right does it not…?

  147. JonJon says:

    do as your told???!!!
    like what you get??!!
    we’ll do what we want??!!!

yup sounds like one to me..

flaminis like rocking horse shit wath..gets everyone going.. 😉

  148. allezkev says:

Morning Gooners, how the devil is everyone? Well i’ve a lovely cuppa sitting ‘ere next to me, for my sore throat, i hope i haven’t caught Rico’s flu….
JJ, yup mate, Guardiola for me, but hopefully as Team Manager with Wenger as Director of Football.
Lukaku? Is that a done deal or a rumour?

  149. Lee says:

well we’re be short-changed and I thought “the customer was always right!!” That’ll be the day, eh?

  150. allezkev says:

Hi Lee, yes mate, i’m gonna get shot of my season=ticket to Tesco’s.
Gallas out for a month, so the blub goes, hamstring.
Palacios out 3 to 4 weeks, operation. Now UEFA, give them Barca pleeeease. Let’s see them laughing in the other side of their gobs.

  151. allezkev says:

Is that right??? Ashley Young has a clause written into his contract that he can leave if a club bids £12million????/ And guess who his little brother plays for, hmmmmm.

  152. Lee says:

JJ, i’m not overly impressed….was Almunia’s last PL game for us against WBA?? I think it was,oh fck!!

  153. Lee says:

Old red nose post match interview, was moaning about his recent injuries and blaming his fixture congestion, ah bless!!

  154. allezkev says:

A.Young? Is he more effective than Arshavin? Does he score goals? There’s plenty worse out there and for a lot more dough, but i bow to your view chaps

  155. JonJon says:

i like ashley young i think hes a good player kev but his he good enough for arsenal..??
    maybe
    i dunno
for 12 million it could be worth a punt

  156. allezkev says:

The thing is JJ, i think we still all get a bit carried away with foreign players with their exoctic names etc, when maybe the answer is on our own doorstep mate. £12million [if it’s true], seems like a reasonabe price, and a Wenger type price, but he’ll probably end up at ManUre.

  157. allezkev says:

Frimpong is back in training, but obviously a long way off.
Anyone watching the Stiffs tonight, [h] to the Scousers?
