Another Wenger low baller directed at fans. Martinez set to start…

“Honestly. I don’t know what to say. It is good that they can waste their day like that.” – Arsene Wenger.

Morning all.

The protesters turned up at London Colney yesterday, not many but no surprise really as most people would have been at work but for the guys and gals who did turn up, I doubt they thought they were wasting their day. For Arsene Wenger to suggest they were was another comment which really won’t sit well with the fans and for such an intelligent man, why he would say such a thing beggars belief. But that what Arsene does these days, in one breath he begs for us to be behind the team, in the next, he kicks us in the teeth. His days are hopefully numbered and perhaps even he can see that now. He’s says he’ll always support our club even when he’s no longer manager, well if he’s a true fan of Arsenal, do what’s best for it.

Anyway, we play again tonight and probably without David Ospina as he’s injured so rookie keeper, whose the same height as Carroll and we’ll be between the sticks. Arsene Wenger often gets lucky when injury strikes so who knows, this might be Emiliano Martinez lucky break. He’s not all that bad either as don’t forget, back in 2014 he kept a clean sheet against Borussia Dortmund on 26th November at The Emirates when Arsenal won 2-0. Just don’t leave him exposed.

Laurent Koscielny is ruled out with an Achilles injury but Per Mertesacker, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey could all return.

Arsene Wenger:

“I think it’s a good opportunity to remind people we are not fighting to not go down – we are fighting to have a positive end to the season. That’s why you want the fans to stand behind the team and that the debate at the moment is about that.

“Let’s finish as strong as we can and show that we have some resilience, some quality and some mental spirit that we have shown against City.”

Slaven Bilic:

“Arsenal have their problems, but they are still a team with a lot of pace, a team you can’t afford to lose the ball against in your own half because the transition and pace they have up front is unbelievable.

“They attack with numbers which makes them more likely to create something, but when they lose the ball they are very vulnerable because they leave a big space behind which you can use.”

Bilic is right, we are vulnerable when we lose the ball on the attack, we have been for a few years now.

Can’t say I’m overly excited about tonight but always want the team to win..

“I think it’s a good opportunity to remind people we are not fighting to not go down”

That’s the premier league Arsene, half the teams fighting to win something, the other half fighting to avoid the precipice of relegation, and then there’s Arsenal fighting for their balance sheet and Stan’s share price.

Like you Rico I’ve never wanted us to lose. But it seems the club have now invented a new form of torture to test our loyalty. One good win and Sir Chips will present Lord Arsene with his shiny new contract for life – he might even hire the Red Arrows in celebration.

Who’s looking forward to that ?

It was a grand total of three fans…and yes, they were wasting their time. They also made some pretty silly mannequins 🙁

Even the ‘Alexis out’ march in Chile had two more fans than that.

Can’t everyone just stop moaning now….let the season finish and then start moaning again…

Thanks Rico.

Now I like Jack, but if the rumours about him are true that he wants assurances of 1st team football to sign a new Arseanl contract, then I suggest he ups his game as he is not even starting games for fcuking Bournemouth !………………………still think he is and always has been an injury liability, shame as he is so talented, but sometimes you have to play through pain, haven`t we done it ?……………god knows how many times I twisted my ankle and run it off !……………..dead leg !………..had one every day at school due to the class room bully ! hahaha

Afternoon All

Afternoon Rico, yes, Arsene is right, the fans must get behind the team, but the point is, are the fans behind the manager?

Ah, I wasn’t sure about BFG vs West Ham last season, maybe it would be dangerous to throw him in after such a long period without game time? But it is an option, although I think that Wenger will stick with the back four that finished the game Sunday…

West Ham will have had an extra days rest, but we’ve had three days to recover and our next game is Monday.
Surprised that the EPL haven’t fitted in either our game vs Sunderland or Southampton between the Palace and M’Boro games, instead of squeezing them all into May…

Poor planning imo

Interesting to see that Wojciech Szczesny is close to Winning the Serie A, Golden Gloves award for clean sheets with Roma…

Just shows what a proper goalkeeping coach can do, that and a proper structured defence…

I don’t think he has Rico, but haphazard planning is par for the course at Arsenal these days.

We used to view Arsenes forgetfulness with a certain degree of humour, it was quaint, but then he had people and players around him who were more on the ball than the mob he has today.

Tbh, the players could and should have sorted out the captains armband after Koscielny went off, but where are the strong characters in our dressing room?

Don’t be daft Kev, we have a squad full of players with amazing mental strength and character….!
They are also so in touch with the fans and how the fan base feels it’s a true blessing…..!

I trust everyone is well (disregarding the football of course) A quick “hello” and goodbye as I retire back to my world of ignoring ALL things Arsenal and the shitfest that is our club at the moment.

The pitches we played on helped build strength in the ankles just alittle uneven with longer grass. Today’s pitches are flat and hards and players have impact injuries .Never go jogging on roads or pavements.

Afternoon Rico and All

Strange these last few months of Arsexit Talk

Normally when we play Wet-spam the banter
for my mates is non stop.
Its beginning to feel like the seasons over all ready.

Hopefully a bigger Keeper is a plus.

As for the BFG..
Surely he can’t even be up to his(snail) Speed yet..Can He?

Arsenal won, so the appalling standard of refereeing by the clueless Martin Atkinson, will be swept under the carpet…

Two penalties waved away, it’s just so easy and so commonplace for this to happen to Arsenal.
The Video referee when it comes in, will really emphasise how useless the likes of Atkinson are.
Maybe VAR will hasten his retirement, and good riddance…

Bellerin with that, how you say “Barnet”, looked like a Geisha girl v West Ham.

I only watched from 51 minutes on so missed the first penalty shout, but the Monreal shout I’ve seen given. In fact I thought the ref was going to point to the spot but he waved things on 🙂

We could do without this winning stuff though, save it for FA Cup !……….. need to be out of CL !……………….not sure what`s the most embarrassing, our capitulation every year in the EPL or the CL ?…………………………….at least one of them we dont have to be in to be embarrassed !……………………..come back to it when we have a new manager who makes us competitive………………………………and not forgetting a new shiny owner who spends spends spends !

Yeah, I know Rico ……………..anyway, lets not disect Ozils briiliant performance against a rubbish WHam, let`s talk planning and design about my new sky toilet above N17…………..do you want to be involved in the process ?……..I know it sounds ridiculous ( not to me as Im` very inventive), but legally you can put a planning aplication in and Haringay council would have to look at it and give a decission !……………hahaha

I think we can convince them that a sky soakaway will turn pee into clean water once it has landed on N17………….it`s no different than when sea water rises to make clouds and the salt disappears and clean rain drops over the land……….it`s called precipition (spelling) I think…………………..we can even invent a new word fo it……..it will be called ..pissitation ! hahaha………………..and we keep saying…………They`re taking the piss again !”

Because of the great wave of indifference that swept through the crowd. As a live spectacle, watching Arsenal these days is a seriously tedious affair. Nothing new whatsoever.

I remember that one, potter,…………… probably the first Arsenal song I learnt ! hahaha……………………….I`m sure it`s technically possible for piss to fall from a great height and turn into clean water, but not so sure about shit !………..it`s worth a try though and who knows it may turn into accelerated compost !………………..at least their pitch will be in good condition !.

Hardly full Rico. The directors must have been alarmed at the empty seats at KO but it filled a bit after that. Quite how anybody can still believe that Arsenal are moving forward on the pitch is beyond me. I find it painful to watch these days, especially when I think of how things used to be. Wenger is draining the fans emotionally and he is either oblivious of that fact or really doesn’t give a shit.
I believe the power struggle that I mentioned the other day is being played out within the club and the way that Wenger is behaving is apparently extremely petulant.

Stables done , now 5 mile run and now with the lighter evenings we are back outside with the 5/6/7/8 ( all depends who turns up ) a side football @7pm…………suprising amount of Gooner turnout and Bindippers………..not one spud in sight……….although there seems to be a few spuds in the running club and the bastards are all quicker than me !………………..then again I do have 20 years on them and not one of them is old enough to have seen a Spud title win ! 🙂
