Now it seems like the media and gossip columns have gone totally off the rails…. We’re apparently buying Di Maria from the Mancs…. Really………. I nearly laughed myself silly with that one, the stories get worse by the day..!
We all know the papers are scratching their heads looking for stories but come on at least be a bit sensible about what’s written. I suppose we all know the papers are full of rubbish but when it’s day after day it’s a bit much.
Players now returning to training and why can the papers not print decent stories about that, obviously that doesnt sell hits or papers does it..!
Pre-season is on the go players getting ready to make or break in some instances and that’s both young and old. We have a few looking to make it into the first team this season and a few older players looking to stay in the fold. I think it’s obvious that Arsene must be looking at certain players thinking do I sell you do I loan you out or do I put you into the squad for the season.
We have many players away still on extended leave due to internationals at the end of the season so maybe a few players back early can make an impression whilst others are still away. It’s all about luck and timing and right place at the right time as in most things but Can Akpom show his worth, Can Hayden…. Maybe Bielik even.. or will it be Crowley. We shall see over the next week or so and the Singapore tour will tell us more.
