Agent Furious with Wenger, Welbeck injury not serous & I’m Done….

Morning all.

The agent of Joel Campbell has taken a huge swipe at Arsene Wenger. Batica is quoted by O Jogo as saying:

Benfica fought until the last minute to sign Campbell but the move didn’t happen because, in the last hour, Arsenal decided to keep him.

Wenger says he did not want to sell him. But if he is not in his plans, then why not allow him to leave?

He has a point. Not about selling him imo, but his playing time. Just 16 minutes so far and it’s not right nor fair, not when the hapless Frenchman his chance…. But we’ve been there eh…

Joel Campbell has to accept though that he’s part of a squad and his chance will come. Well it should and soon.

The transfer window is done and dusted for another four months and we have who we have. I had my rant yesterday and I’m done. Arsene Wenger is here to stay, unless of course the fans make their voices heard on match day and Stan Kroenke starts to get very concerned and takes action.

You got it, it isn’t going to happen, Stan won’t do a thing. Maybe he will get fed up though and walk away, especially if performance and results see us spiral down the table but I can’t see that happening either, not really.

We haven’t got a bad squad, on the contrary, we have a very good squad, it’s just not big enough to cope with what’s ahead….

But if it did all go wrong and the fans let their feelings known from the stands each week, things might get a bit tricky for Stan Kroenke and Arsene Wenger. It happened at Liverpool not so long ago when the then owners Hicks and Gillett were pretty much forced out and they seem to have sorted themselves out under John Henry. It’s taken a couple of seasons and two different managers, but they are getting there…It pains me greatly to say that!

Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that…

Right now we have the players we have, the manager we have, the owner and board we have so now I’m going to try and remain positive and get behind the lot of them….

Well, until the next game and the next transfer window cock up of course…. 😉

Anyway, tonight is international night and all we can hope for is that they return home without injury.

I might even watch England to see our new signing in action. He took a knock on his ankle in training yesterday but it’s not serious so he should feature tonight and again on Monday..

New boy.....
New boy…..

Finally, today is a day of celebration for two HH regulars.

Happy birthday to Adam who is 21 again, I hope you have a lovely day wherever you are hiding.

And for Rocky and his wife, I truly hope everything goes like clockwork and a new young Gooner will arrive safely into this world…

Have a good day all…..

Agent complaining because he is looking for a payday and not because Campbell isn’t in Wengers plans. The season is 5 games old, he will get his chance.

you may have a point fred…..

more moves – more money …..

    morning rico …..

was with an ex-London journalist late last night ….based in the Capital late sixties early seventies …… He told me that they had a gag put on Fleet Street re: Cliff Richard and Wilfred Brambell .. Nothing to do with football, but everything to do with what’s in the News…

Morning all, good post rico. No moaning otherwise we are not supporters 😉

Joel Campbell only has himself to blame for being an attacker. He needs to tell Mr Wenger he can play CB or DMF and he’ll be fine!

  4. Joywedsjeff says:

Joel campbell has just seen his ten per cent chance of playing evaporate… That’s what agents are for..
Mr Rosicky is another one who did’nt get on the field. I think Wenger was concerned with the champions league so decided to play his strongest team in the league for them to gel and be ready for Beksitas. We will see a diffrent Arsenal after the break.

  5. rogerbij says:

Morning all, just about recovered from my transfer day hangover. The dust is settling and Im just about getting my head around the idea of screaming for Welbeck…

    Positives:
-he’s not that bad, and can get better.
-he’s a huge upgrade on Sanogo
-he’s great for our English quota
-With his speed and runs he could bring out the best of Ozil
-We were desperate (lets not kid ourselves)

… of course we didnt land our DM and CB, so Im still freaking out with injury roulette, but hoping we can make it to January to pull a Hail Mary and limp to a trophy and customary top 4 finish. In fairness to Wenger, we are are stronger team on paper than last season. All of the buys were good or very good. Its just so frustrating that all of the pieces of the puzzle arent quite in place still.

    Predictions for next transfer window:
    -Carvalho/Khedira all over again
    -A greek defender
-Reus attempt, no real attempt at an out and out striker.

We will know more after the City game on Sat 13th – how far we have come or not… its turning into a need-to-win game already, lose and we have only 5 points from 4 games.

    Good Afternoon Onions and Capers.

So DW has taken a parting shot and dig Manure…….

Welbeck is confident he made the right decision to leave United for Arsenal and is keen to “move on” as he begins the next chapter of his career.

He continued: “I’ve been at United ever since I was a little boy and I had a great time there.

“I just think this is the next stage of my development – to come to Arsenal, to really show people what I can do as a footballer and hopefully get to the place where I want to be.

Hopefully get to the place where he wants to be. Does that mean Real Madrid or Barcelona now. I wonder.

  7. Hell Raising Devil says:

    Good post Rico bdw.

Agent furious with AW??? Do we care? Do we give a fuck??

How many times have we been left furious by agents??

    serves them right

about time the club grew some balls and put agents where they should be put. in the ARSE ANAL

  8. Canadian Gooner says:

Good Morning to The Lady of the House and all fellow Gooners in residence.

roger – Your 12:02 pm just about sums up my feelings. The team are still effectively in preseason training. Let’s hope they are ready for the 13th.

  9. Canadian Gooner says:

Devil – Do you think that will rectal-fy everything?

Campbell’s agent was more than happy to see his client return to Arsenal after the World Cup. That was until he saw his share of all those Portuguese Euro’s float out of his grasp. Pity.

  10. Canadian Gooner says:

Sami Khedira has suffered a muscle tear in his left thigh during training with Germany and has been forced to withdraw from the squad. He is expected to be out for six weeks and he isn’t even one of our players – yet.

  11. Wath says:

Cheers Scott, hope you feeling better,

Happy Birthday to Adam and of a great big good luck to Rocky and Mrs Rocky on the birth of their little Gooner…!

It’s quiet as people are relaxing after a stressful transfer window and the big who’s in who’s out show…..!

    Then reality kicks in………….

  16. goonster says:

Kyw I think welbeck ll suprise a few. I have huge faith in him. I z see him scoring 28 to 30 goals this season. He ll be a hit with the fans room watch out.

  17. Hell Raising Devil says:

Rocky did not have the baby Goonie.

Its his wife who has had the baby you plank. Rocky did the job 😉

Every one’s birthday should be a beautiful day. But mine was the best day of the year…….I was born on Mother’s Day.

  18. rico says:

    kyawmgmgtun

You are forgetting Santi, Ozil, Alexis, OC, Walcott, Campbell, Chambers, Gnabry, Gibbs, Monreal… the list goes on….

  19. AndrewH13 says:

Maybe I should switch Welbeck into my dream team as he’s cheaper as was not expecting to play every week. Who is likely to score the most goals this season, Sanchez or Welbeck?

  20. tomstoned says:

good post..only one small thing to add, we have been playing like shite lately…no urgency no ambition whatsoever…p’ss poor…just like wenger nazidis konkers and the rest of the effin club….
    actually come to think of it..we’re back to the good old boring Arsenal…but heey its not all bad..we still get to pay alot of money for nothing ;

  21. Wavy says:

Rocky congrats. Just make sure you sort out her bits properly or she’ll turn into a gunner sore arse! And you don’t want that, I can tell you!

  22. rockyrocastle07 says:

Afternoon all. Well, that was an eventful morning!! Battery is gonna die soon, so just a quick one to say thanks for your messages, and will be back on soon.

  23. Joaquim Moreira says:

January window it’s allways very difficult and depends of many variables and scenarios.
If we are out of the CL, out of the 4th position, out of the cups why we need the January window? Only if we must realize money and in that way, it depends of the others teams. Imagine Campbell case and Benfica still figting for the CL and internal competitions. Probably we are more open to sell or loan Campbell.
Last year, we have Kalsson and everybody know what’s happen (and in my opinion, we need him this season).
Nevertheless, they are same markets more open in that time (scandinavian, russian, etc) then the traditional europena markets.
I’m still thinking we must look now for all undisclosed players, specially defenders, and try to complete our squad. There will not be a player(s) for the CL but for domestic fixtures.

  24. dublingunner says:

afternoon all, I think you,s are been a bit harsh on campbell and agent. It is obviously clear all he wants, is to play football. Why should he sit on the bench, playing capital one cup football,When ac milan, benfica, etc, etc are sniffing around im, Because that,s all he will get to play. The premier league is 38 cup finals, where wenger will play his strongest starting 11 in all games, And campbell is clearly not in that category. You can bet they knew that another striker was a big possibility on Monday, and that meant pushing campbell further down the pecking order. I think He,s agent has every right to let campbells feelings be known to the club, Surely.

  25. goonster says:

I know rocky just messing with ya. Congratulations by the way. She ll be kicking your ass soon. God they re both infuriating and adorable at the same time. Lol

  26. potter says:

I said before that I feel for Campbell pushed further back and unlikely to get game time. At his age he wants to play , he is seen in his home country as a hero , he doesn’t want to drift into obscurity.

Congrats Rocky , I will do the female bit :- What weight was she ? and Adam happy birthday , I will have one for you tonight as I run my pub quiz.

  27. goonster says:

Potter campbell just like vela before hin ll be released the way I see it. It’s a shame cause he could be a handy for us. Bummer.

  28. rico says:

Evening all. Hectic day today. Nothing as exciting as Rocky’s I hasten to add… lol

Any news or just a slow old day everywhere?

  29. rockyrocastle07 says:

Thanks everyone. We named her Jessica. She came at 11.28 weighing 6lb 12oz.she’s gorgeous if I do say so myself!! We have just been moved to the Samson ward (as I said to Lee…. that name is very close to Sansom! A sign if ever there was one!

  30. Hell Raising Devil says:

Will give the first 10 minutes a peep and see how it pans out. if its boring…….I switch my attention elsewhere.

  31. BT62 Gooner says:

Rico, pretty much same as Dev. Great British Bake Off, might get a go….lol….You’ll have your own delivery soon.

  32. rico says:

🙂 Bt, I love the bake off. PH is a bit up himself though… lol

I will await the postman… Thank you, very much….

  33. Hell Raising Devil says:

Get Danny on??? no Rico. I dont want him to play. he should rest.

Do we care how England do??? No.

I hope that JW and Ox come without any injuries.

  34. Micko says:

    Lee, good morning…

    Good Morning Bumblebees and Butterflies.

What a yawn yesterday’s game was. Germany and Argies had a better game. And its such a larf hearing that the argies got their revenge back.

Germany still have the World cup to show. Argies still have the runners up medal as well. so everything remains status quo. Just because they put 4 past the Germans does not make them WC. lol

the list of Arsenal players for the EPL can be found here…..
