Just how long have we been waiting to hear the news on injuries to Samir Nasri, Johan Djourou and Alex Song??

All we get is a snippet here and there from other Arsenal blogs saying they are back in training, Twitter comments from the players saying they are fine but we never get the updates from our own club website. It’s frustrating as most of us don’t believe any news until Arsene gives the all clear to publicise a story.

Anyway, finally yesterday the club website announced that Song is expected to be fit for today, Djourou has been passed fit as has Denilson (groan!) Diaby is injured as well as being banned, Rosicky is injured again but Cesc and Robin have recovered from ‘Man Flu’ – see, it only lasts for twenty-four hours, unlike the real flu that we ladies have to suffer….. 😉

Still no ‘real’ news on the return of Thomas Vermaelen though….

So, onto today – no faffing Arsene, the league fixture is what we face today, Barca is for another day. No Arsenal fan wants us to be pipped at the end by the Mancs, Chavs or any other side so please send out a team that will win us three points today….

Today we hold the upper hand in the fixture list; the two Mancs kick off at lunch-time so we’ll know if the Utd side of Manchester lose, we can close the gap to just one point IF we win at home to Wolves. I am not fussed what the result ends up an Old Trafford today, for us it’s a win win situation as long as we secure our own three points!

This is seriously our best chance to win the Premier League!

But, we won’t if Wenger tinkers too much, we won’t if the players throw away winning situations and end up nicking a point from games and we won’t unless this team we all love, support and get so wound up over have one eye on the Barca fixture! That fixture is for another day, today is about Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Not only have Wolves beaten Manchester United, they have also seen off Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool this season so just because Wolves sit close to the bottom of the Premier League a  home win is not a forgone conclusion. Just as we are fighting to win the league, they are fighting to stay in it so today will be tough.

Last weekend Wolves sprung the shock of the season, yes everyone wanted to talk about the Newcastle fight back, but what they forgot is that we also snuck another point nearer to the leaders. Man Utd got beat and with it came the end of their ‘Invinsible’ dream! We all remember what happened to us after our winning streak came to an end don’t we, well, the Mancs could now suffer the same.

It’s up to us now to make sure we are there to pounce when they do, starting today!

As for the team for today – I’m going back to leaving that to Wenger but I don’t think he will take a risk…

A risk on losing I mean….

Have a good day all, three points will make it all the better……
