A fitting return..

Morning all.

Well well, was that good or was that good?

What a way for Aaron Ramsey to mark his return to Cardiff by scoring two goals and no running up the pitch to celebrate either. No, because he’s a good guy unlike some we have seen behaving badly when they score against their old club.

The respect he showed his old club earned nothing but applause from the home fans, leaving Arsene Wenger surprised:

Fantastic.

You would like to see that more and I have a big respect for that. They are proud to be Welsh here, you know.

He was also full of praise for our Welsh midfielder:

He can defend, he can attack, he can score goals and he’s young. What more do you want?

More of the same Arsene, that’s all we want and I suspect we’ll get it too.

Malky Mackay spoke about Aaron Ramsey too:

He’s a class act.

Right now Arsenal fans could go on and on about the way Ramsey is playing, he really is on fire but Arsenal are not all about one man’s performances because right now we have many players who are playing very very well….

The save Wojciech Szczesny made a 1-0 was superb and the crosses from Ozil for the first two goals were pinpoint. Great stuff eh. Oh, and the pass from Theo Walcott wasn’t too bad either… 😉

Jack Wilshere nearly repeated what he did on Tuesday by kicking us off with an early goal but his curling effort from 25 yards out hit the top right hand corner of the woodwork. That would have been a stunner!

Then there was heart in mouth moment as Bacary Sagna and Per Mertesacker clashed heads. The big fella had to leave the pitch for a while and it did look like game over for him but after a bit of treatment he was deemed fit and healthy enough to continue.

We nearly conceded soon after when Kevin Theophile-Catherine (what a name) whipped in a cross from the right which Frazer Campbell got his head to but somehow, headed wide.

Olivier Giroud was the next up to have a chance and when he watches this played back he’ll want to hide behind the nearest cushion! Play to the whistle was the only lesson to be learned from that piece of play.

Then we did break the deadlock, Mesut Ozil supplied yet another wonderful cross into the box and Aaron Ramsey did the rest with his head, yes, his head and it was far from an easy finish either! Nothing from him, nothing at all, all he did was turn and head back into his own half for the restart.

Both Giroud and Ramsey had a chance a piece to put us further ahead but one saw his shot go wide thanks to a deflection, the other blasted wide.

Right after the break, our big French striker had another chance from a Ramsey pass but it wasn’t his day.

Next up was the wonder save by Szczesny. Taylor played in the cross and Kieran Gibbs was beaten in the air by Campbell but our young Pole, who gets better each game, pushed the ball away.

Cardiff raised their game but there was no way through to grab an equaliser.

Wenger made the changes, no doubt he had only one thing in mind as Mathieu Flamini came on for Santi Cazorla and that was to defend our lead. Instead though, what he did was bring on the player to pretty much put the game to bed as Flamini blasted home our second from inside the penalty area. Another superb pass, another superb finish. Maybe the Ozil critics will get off of his back soon!

There was only one way for Arsenal to finish the game off.

Theo Walcott came on in place of Ozil  during injury time and had a chance to take a shot. He looked as if he might take the chance but instead, chose to play the ball square to Ramsey and he did the rest. The ball wasn’t the best as it was bouncing but the mood Ramsey was in saw him take a touch to control the ball before firing home.

No celebration again.

However, the away fans celebrated loud and proud and rightly so.

Arsene was certainly happy after the game:

I’m very pleased because we had a good performance. Of course we scored three goals but, not only offensively, I think defensively we were quite sound as well. Our defenders had a very good game.

Overall the concentration level in the team was very, very good. That was needed because we knew Cardiff can punish you in set-pieces with their strengths in the challenges and their drive with the crowd behind them. We had a mature performance and a focused one.

Other clubs have been to Cardiff and failed so we should be proud of the team and they should be proud of themselves.

Next up for us is a home fixture against Hull City on Wednesday night….

Have a good day all….

    What a wonderful win!
Szczesny kept us in the game with a superb save.
He has been really composed and mature over the last 10-15 games, and I don’t long think it has anyting tomdo with form, but permanent class. Just like Ramsey.
The team is playing wonderfully and I for one am looking forward to every single game!
    Oh to be a gooner

  2. S2S says:

And the Gunners go marching on… Like the snowy theme.

Btw, 2 more goals in last quarter of the game. The last quarter of Arsenal game is always superb whether it is defending for life or scoring goals for fun. Mr. 67 Minute gets more right than wrong especially when you have Rosicky, Theo, Flamini, Nacho, Gnabry and Fab on the bench.

  3. rico says:

    We do indeed S2S..

I’m a sucker for snow and it always arrives here on HH on the 1st December. Love this month for football and the build up to Christmas…

Our bench is definitely getting stronger and if yesterday is anything to go by, no longer will we see Nik B on it….

  4. rico says:

Do we want a home victory or a draw down the road today?

Part of me wants to see Utd battered, in fact most of me wants to see them battered….

  5. ArsenalDK says:

    Perhaps you are right rico.
With Fab and Viviano breathing down his nec, he is concentrated every game as he knows that any mistake he makes could mean that Fab or Viviano would get a chance…

  6. Scott from Oz says:

    Morning all.
That was the performance of a true title contending side.
Still a way to go, but hey, we ARE top of the league 🙂

  7. rico says:

I think we’ll see Viviano in the FA Cup Adk, with Fabianski off in the summer, he could be our new number 2 if he shows he’s good enough…

That’s all we can ask for Scott, top of the league and keep on winning…

See where we are in Jan, sign a striker and bobs your uncle… 😉

  8. S2S says:

If RvP is playing then United to get battered else a draw. I want United as much down as possible. I just want that smugness wiped off the face of RvP and plenty of my friends but mostly RvP.

  9. stevepalmer1 says:

    Morning all.
Good report Rico, You must have studied Match of the day 🙂 Hope you get your identity sorted quickly got to admit you have a few yourself :). A good win yesterday and i have to admit watching the game live gave me a thrill, seeing it happen as it unfolded was pretty exciting and when i watched it later only concluded what i had watched earlier. A good day for Arsenal fans.
The Welsh as well as the Irish and the Scots do take notice of their own they seem to have that comradery where England just expects. Ramsey’s decision not to celebrate seemed quite odd to me, I understand why he did it but that seemed to take away a little something for an Arsenal supporter. If i didn’t know better i would have said that this was pre planned as i would have expected at least a smile from Ramsey’s face but as he headed that goal in he looked to me to have bowed his head in shame. Surely being Welsh is one thing but being an Arsenal player on high wages that has given him a good living should also be considered but at the end of the day we won , Nit picking i suppose many will say, but had i travelled to Wales to watch my team i think i would have liked him to have scored and to have thanked me for being there with a little appreciation. Does this mean everytime we play against a team that one of our players have played for before we always have to bow our heads.Ramsey is proud to be Welsh , but thats due to his mum and Dad but he should also be proud and loud that he is an Arsenal player and forget all that looking shameful and show us that scoreing for the Arsenal whoever it may be against is more important (rant over) Ozil had a good game he did make a difference hopefully he can keep it up. I feel we will need a twelve point lead at the top as i can see us losing a few games coming up, Our return with United and our games with city will i believe go against us and we have been knocked out of the capital one cup quite easily by Chelsea so i can see a couple of losses there to so i am still feeling that we will finish in the top four if we get a win in any of those matches will determine our position and who knows Mathematics can play some strange tricks at times I keep my fingers crossed.

  10. Scott from Oz says:

A mate raised a good point.
If Giroud plays on and the flag is up, he cops a yellow card, and we all know players, especially Arsenal players, have been booked for this before, even though the whistle was not heard.
So, assuming he was offside, Giroud pulled up.
Strange situation and smething to ponder while i head off for some sleep.
It has been a long, but enjoyable weekend.
    Night fellow Gooners.
    Keep the faith 🙂

  11. Scott from Oz says:

Hi Steve, for whats its worth, as long as Aaron puts in 100%, he has earned his pay, in my opinion.
You are a hard marker 🙂
    Later, mate.

  12. HenryB says:

    Hi Rico,

A superb result. Gone is the fear that when presented with the opportunity to make a real statement of intent that we would blow it.

The team are playing that skilful, patient style of football just like (dare I say it) Barcelona, before striking like a cobra and taking down the opposition.

    Just love it. 🙂

  13. rico says:

    Thanks Sp.

I strongly suspect Ramsey knew before the game that should he score, he wouldn’t celebrate. Nothing wrong with that imho, he showed respect for the club who he grew up with and the same one who let him go on and have a career with us.

Respect for him from me, and plenty of it…

  14. rico says:

Night Scott, Morning Dg and Henryb.

I too am enjoying watching this Arsenal team right now, everyone is doing their bit and it’s working well.

  15. Adam says:

Morning Rico. A nice win yesterday for sure.
The Giroud offside thing? Play to the whistle. But, it looked as if Ozil had got a touch, making Le Quiff offside. If so, I am glad we didn’t score from that situation as it would be the only thing the papers and press would be focussing on.
Ozil’s passing for both goals was exquisite. The way that Flamini didn’t need to break stride was a thing of athletic beauty.
Chesney’s save was probably one of the key moments too and it was good to see Arteta have such a big influence. I reckon Cazorla is slowly working up to a match winning shift too but was slightly on the fringe of the action yesterday.
As a team performance there was lots to admire.

  16. agirlagunner says:

    Hello, you happy gooners!!

Brrrr, rico. 🙂 I see you’ve made it snowy in here. 😛

Hiya, Dutch. Thanks for the links.

I reckon I want both teams to lose. 😀 😀

Oh, and Henry B, I take exception to the statement that AFC is playing like Barcelona. Our players have not made a career out of diving/ playacting to win favorable decisions. 😀 😉

  17. Canadian Gooner says:

Good Morning to the Lady of the House and all fellow Gooners in residence.

Rico – Good write-up of the game. I was surprised when you didn’t mention Jacke the Lad early on and I thought you might not mention him at all. I should have known better.

It is great to see him easing himself back into the team. He’ll give us another option in attack and a touch of pace to open up those tight arse defences.

As for the Scum vs. ManUre, a chippy hard fought physical game resulting in a tie and a few sending offs (i.e. Judas van Pursestrings) would suit me just fine.

  18. DutchGooner10 says:

Morning all. I believe that’s all Sunday’s action provided. Enjoy the streaming and remember no trolling or cyber punking on our behalf.

    Tnx

  19. Canadian Gooner says:

Sir Steve – I have to agree with Scott, you are a hard marker. I thought Aaron was very effective and hard grafting, but dignified.

I would much rather see that than the over the top celebrations of Adebuymore or Judas van Pursestrings when they returned to score against us.

  20. S2S says:

Sp, Don’t think of United game as a benchmark. First it was 3rd game in the week. We had played exhausting game against Liverpool then in midweek we went to Germany and played one of the most exhausting game of the season against BvB and then third game at OT. And how they scored against us? One of PC. Nothing special.

What you fail to mention is how City are throwing away points away from home. And they are yet to play us and Liverpool. And add Southampton away in December. If they drop any points in these fixtures I guess we’d have better chance.

    Just some permutations and combinations.

  21. agirlagunner says:

Hello, CG! How are you? OTT celebrations of former players leave a sour taste in the mouth; v Purseys’s made we want to kick his teeth in. Sorry to sound violent. 😉

  22. Canadian Gooner says:

Sister AGAG – The snow is just to remind us that Santa Cazorla, Uncle Arsene and the boys are going to give us a big present for Christmas. Anyway snow should be a novelty in the Philippines.

Also, I am in total agreement with your rebuttal of the comparison of The Arsenal with the Barcelona’s Catalan diving team.

  23. Adam says:

Hi DG. Ah! I am ashamed to admit that ‘mosh pits’ are also outside my experience, but I sort of get the point. 🙂

  24. Canadian Gooner says:

Sister AGAG – I am hale and hearty. Thank you for asking.

As for JvP, I’ll hold him down while you put the boot in with those spike heels of yours (like the ones of your avatar). You better leave him with a few good scars from the punctures.

  25. DutchGooner10 says:

    Adam

Mosh pits are nothing fancy. Just wave your limbs wildly and bump into anything that has a pulse. LoL

  26. agirlagunner says:

How far is Wales from London, Adam?

CG, hahaha. As you can see, I do not exactly like Barcelona. Thanks for the offer re: van Mercenary. It’s either his mug or his left ankle. Maybe, both??

  27. stevepalmer1 says:

Many thanks to Dutch G for the links you make a big difference to lots of us. 🙂

Many supporters don’t like my comments i know that especially when we have runs but at the end of the day i look at what i consider to be pitfulls. Man Utd has been a stumbling block for us for years we can put a twist on it by saying we have met them with lots of injuries or suspensions or food poisning say it anyway you like i believe we bottle and i wont mince words with you. I want Arsenal to win everything up for grabs make no mistake but we were effortlessly kicked out of the Capital one and we have lost to two of the teams i consider better than us that’s just saying it as it is.

  28. devilgunner says:

Good morning Lady, Sir, Gentlemen and Ladies.

What a match report Rico. Fitting for the match itself.

Funny how every one seems to focus on Giroud for stopping. The thing is that not only Giroud stopped but everyone else STOPPED. That can only mean one thing………that a moron in the crowd had a whistle and whistled it.

    watch it here……….

  29. DutchGooner10 says:

    Stevo

Reality checks always have a discomforting effect on some.

Me personally, I like your comments cuz I don’t want to pretend we can already pre-order a discount box of silverware polish.

  30. Canadian Gooner says:

Sir Steve – You made a valid point regarding our exit from the Capital One Cup.

I think we may be getting what always gave ManUre the upper hand in many games – self belief. Our team are becoming more confident and work much harder, than in the past, to regain possession of the ball. If we can continue this run of games, it may well give us the boost we need against the likes of Abu Dhabi Citeh, Chelski and ManUre. None of those three teams are as cocky or self confident as they have been in recent seasons.

  31. Adam says:

Apparently VP’s injury is an inflated ego and that has become exaggerated through an over-active greed gland which has only fuelled his already hyperactive feelings of entitlement and resentment. This is not the first time either,

  32. agirlagunner says:

Adam, I wonder why no one has kicked vP to bits; when he was ours, everyone seemed to take great delight doing it.

  33. Adam says:

Agag. I would like to put myself forward for that particular job and assure you I would do it ‘with feeling’. 🙂

  34. kali says:

    greetings Rico&all
we have every reason to be proud of….clicking all over the pitch.
    happy days may well continue….
now let’s go on a good run in this month….gonna be interesing
i will take 12p right now..14 will be great

  35. agirlagunner says:

Adam, oh if only we could, eh? 😀 Maybe I should stalk him. But Manchester seems like a wasteland. Haha.

Hey, rico. 🙂 There is a popular rotisserie here, called “Chooks-to-Go” 😀 You the supplier? “P

    Hello, Kali.

  36. rico says:

🙂 Adam, ours were washed yesterday in glorious sunshine ….

Now now agag, my girls will never see a pot 😉

  37. Canadian Gooner says:

Rico – You and Adam will have to form a line behind Sister AGAG and me as we had our names in first. You lost out when you left to cleanout the chooks.

I do like Adam’s comment that he would do it ‘with feeling’.

  38. agirlagunner says:

rico, you may complete the effort with “once more”. 😀

CG, haha. 🙂 It’s such a lovely feeling watching how other teams would fare/bash each other’s head in/collpse; because you’ve already played and gotten the three points. Such a lovely, lovely, feeling.

  39. devilgunner says:

I will go in last if you give me permission.

First of all as always…….save the best for last.

Secondly and most important ……….I will be one who finishes him off.

  40. Canadian Gooner says:

Rico – You’re supposing that AGAG and I would leave anything for others. I know, we should share with other Gooners, but when the red mist descends there is no telling.

  41. BrainwashedKev says:

    Afternoon All
    Afternoon Rico. A wonderful post… 😉

Arsenal playing like Barcelona, no no no!!!

Arsenal playing like Ajax 1968-74 and the Netherlands 1972-84, ie Total Football, yes yes yes….

Dutch, I am sure you would agree… 🙂

  42. Canadian Gooner says:

    AGAG – Amen Sister Amen!

Long may the rest of the Premiership be looking at and chasing our Arses as we continue our great run. Ditto for our Champions League competitors.

  43. agirlagunner says:

Wow, I love how my Kick van Mercenary campaign has gained momentum. 😀 Everyone is welcome to join. Put on some studdy, spiky footwear.

  44. devilgunner says:

Kev is right. This AFC team is built more like Ajax team of 68-74 than the Barca team. That team did not have any cheats but played pure football. They played as a team.

The Barca team is more a collective of individuals rather than a balanced team.

If anything its the 2002-2004 Arsenal team which can be compared to the Barca team.

  45. devilgunner says:

Agag…….I dont need studdy spiky footwear. I know exactly where to put my foot in and believe me he will not rise for another.

  46. BrainwashedKev says:

    Adam, afternoon mio amigo…

Yes, I have been a bit of a punk for many years now, as you know when we’ve met and you have complimented me on my green hair and safety pins thru my ears and hooter.
The majority of my punters comment on it as well and often ask for a photo of me standing next to my cab… 😛

Wath also is a bit of a punk, I think he goes by the name of grumpy punk of Camden Town…

  47. agirlagunner says:

    AK, I like that. 🙁

Adam, it seems Paul Walker had just come from a fund raising event for our typhoon victims. 🙁

  48. agirlagunner says:

    Dev, I like that. 🙂

Kev, you playing dress-up? Halloween is over. 😛 WATH can bash RvP’s head with a Grey Goose bottle. 😀

  49. rico says:

    🙂 agag/Dg…

    Afternoon Kev, thanks.

Lawro just said we play like an International side… Guess he didn’t mean England..

  50. Canadian Gooner says:

AGAG – I’m looking for my old spiked logger’s boots as we speak. They make the original Dr. Martens look like a pair of loafers.

  51. BrainwashedKev says:

Mosh Pits, hmm, they sound interesting Dutch… 😉

‘Kick his teeth in’ Shopping Buddy, wow, you sound a bit of a tiger…
    I’m not gonna upset you, that’s for sure… 😀

  52. tsgh says:

Superb post Rico and aa bunch of happy posters.lol

Sp1, I agree there are 2 or 3 team better than us but as we discussed last summer, it does not matter who is better than us so far as we beat almost all the 16 other teams.

Kev and Dev discussing total football…you got me all creaming like goonie.lol

    Afternoon all btw…

  53. Canadian Gooner says:

Will Sandro’s goal spur ManUre back into action or will they just sulk.

WOOPS! I should have known that Mike Dean would give ManUre the gift of a penalty.

  54. DutchGooner10 says:

    Afternoon Kev Brainwashed Cyber punk

Mosh pits and hairy sweating arm pits interesting? Don’t mind me pass on the privilege.

  55. agirlagunner says:

CG, niiiice. Make sure you look for your oldest pair with the rustyspikes. We want to give him free tetanus.

Kev, I’m agreeable until… I’m not. 😛 I reserve special attention for players who leave for money under the guise of “ambition”. 😀

  56. agirlagunner says:

Dutch, he starred in a series of admittedly kitschy films, “The Fast and the Furious.”. I saw two the first two. 🙂 🙂

  59. Canadian Gooner says:

AGAG – I’ll just annoint the spikes with some of what Rico has been cleaning-up from her chooks. That should add a good mix of E. Coli. and assorted other bacteria.

Rico – No offence intended for your ‘girls’, it’s just part of their biology.

  60. S2S says:

    DG: F&F star.

Btw, Did anyone else see Wellbeck dive? Awesome.. Right?

Ts: Who is better? And in what way? Player to player or on form?

Btw, has anyone noticed Kagawa? How he plays a pass and gets into space to receive another? And in Man Utd team he looks like headless chicken?

  61. DutchGooner10 says:

Okay just seen his pica and movie bio. Of course I know the fella.

Other side of the medallion; how many others tragically lost their life yesterday in traffic accidents and didn’t get a public farewell??

Sorry to sound harsh for those who do feel affected by this terrible loss.

  62. tsgh says:

Talking about the Ajax total football, is Ozil our Cruyff?

Arteta is defintely Arie Haans, always understated; I can’t decide if Ramsey is Neeskens or Muhren the master… 😉

Carragher on TV again? I suppose this nation is running out of football experts too. 🙂

Now let hope results go our way so we can go on to dominate the league after both the oilers collapse…

  63. Thorny says:

Hello everyone. Can anyone answer my burning question? What are chances of signing suarez in Jan? If we could we will win everything. the thought of it is just awesome but has anyone got a view on that? Heading up for Hull on wednesday from Cornwall, cant wait

  64. agirlagunner says:

Now for the other matches. 🙂

Ginge you insulting lady rico with the Scouse comment. 😛

As for Owens, my god, he is so irrelevant!!

  65. Canadian Gooner says:

A great result at Shite Heart Lane. However, three yellow cards for ManUre means Mr. Dean won’t be getting his usual case of red wine for Xmas from Auld Whisky Nose.

  66. Adam says:

What a little weirdo Ray (uncle Fester) Wilkins is.

  67. agirlagunner says:

Thorny, I have it on excellent authority (mine) that we are signing Suarez in January; or by summer at the latest. This, is of course, if we are unable to get Lewandowski in. 😀

  68. Canadian Gooner says:

Last week ended with our win over Cardiff City and another clean sheet. This week begins with with Tottenscum and ManUre both dropping two points. Life is looking very good for we Gooners.

I`m of to catch an hour or twos kip before the Chelski vs. Sotton game kicks off. I know I should stay up and cheer the Tigers, but I have a long day ahead.

Have a great day fellow Gooners. Keep The Faith!

  69. Thorny says:

Barcelona will c$@p themselves when we meet them in The CL final if we sign Suarez, can you imagine it. Thanks agirlgunner. Now for some Sunday afternoon upsets at Citeh and the bridge.

  70. BrainwashedKev says:

    2-2, that’s just the ticket…
MotD will be in bits if The Southern Oilers fail to win…
    I’ll be in hysterics…. 🙂

Michael Owen not only has a boring voice, he also has a boring demeanour and is a crap pundit…
Arsenal to finish 5th, what a fcuking imbecile…
And the Media actually pay that stupid fool, to air his opinions…
What does that say about those fcuk wits?!!!

  71. BrainwashedKev says:

Seems that taking Alvaro Morato on loan, from Real Madrid, should solve the ‘back-up striker’ to Giroud conundrum, until the summer when a permanent solution can be found…

It also allows Wenger more time to decide if Akpom is ready to step up to the senior squad.
Akpom has the quality to do the job, all he needs is a bit more time to mature into the striker who could save Arsenal £50million.
And that, in essence, is the point of the Academy!

  72. devilgunner says:

Hold on mates. one game at a time. up till now we have to keep things in perspective. lets not see far away.

the misty mountains are just that…….still misty.

the road there is long and rocky.

    lets enjoy Christmas first.

  73. Gunnerdna says:

This is the main reason afc players deserve credit. The PL is so unpredictable. Liverpool loosing to hull with a world class CF like Suarez.

  74. tsgh says:

sweet results.. now Wanyama and Osvaldo to nail Mauren-yo for us.

Dna, whats up with the news of the train crash in the City of Dreams?

  75. devilgunner says:

all we care is about the league table………AND IT NEVER SAYS A FECKING LIE!!!!

  76. Joaquim Moreira says:

  79. devilgunner says:

the 2004 was something else. it was simple yet so unreal.

1989 will still remain the great of the greatest wins ever.

However I think 2014 will come close to the 1989 achievement if it happens

Steve, i know you are playing devils advocate, and as i said the other day, i respect your opinion, i just don’t necessarily agree with it on the odd occasion 🙂

  82. Scott from Oz says:

    7 points clear.
That is a massive gap at this stage of the season, and a lovely buffer considering what lays ahead.
We need not despair about dropping a few points between now and Xmas as it is probably to be expected.
The difference is we have that buffer, where usually we are 7 poitns behind already and hanging by a thread.

Fairly good weekend as far as Gooners are concerned, We made headway on most of the others but the ones right up our arses are still keeping tabs on us ‘points sounds good but thats only one game and a draw leading but still a long way to go. Chelsea looked like they had plenty of help by the officials but perhaps thats just me and City are still steam rollering along. I would just like to remind Gooners everywhere that a couple of years back we were leading at Christmas but we had defensive problems, many called for recruits in the winter transfer window but skinflint said we had cover, we dropped points faster than the others gained and in the end we struggled for Europe. This year we are short up front Giroud has hung in well but he is not going to last, will we make do or will we reinforce, History has told us that making do is suicide but will he listen.

    Relax Stevo, it’s all under control… 🙂

    Rico, check your in-box.
    One down, one to go…
    Now I need to sleep.
    Night All, night Digger,
Night Mick, wherever you are. Hope you’re ok?!!!

This team/squad is jelling. And our best performances are yet to come as we continue to improve as long as injuries stay out of our arse.

AW get us a proving striker (RL,Suarez, Marco or someone from BPL. Even Campbell will do.) and the BPL and CL are ours to lose.

  86. Nashuagunner says:

Rico your 11:11 am was right on point. Ramsey showed class as unlike RVP, who celebrated his goal against us and forget the hands that used to feed and saved his arse for eight years when he was on the treatment table and under the suspicion of rape, when he was Mister Nobody. After that game my opinion about him change.

    Morning all,

18 or so months ago Coyle was being touted as AW’s replacement; fast forward to now and he can’t win games at Championship level and he is rumoured to have been axed from his job…

Are there Arsenal quality strikers available to buy???

Thanks re the email Kev, great post, not that I have read it yet 😉

    Ng, and Adebayor before him….

  89. Scott from Oz says:

Ginge, Martinez has always shown massive talent as a manager, and just importantly, class.
    I like him a lot.
    Morning all.

  90. Scott from Oz says:

    Morning Rico.
I love humble, honst managers who accept defeat and do not blame anything but themselves.
    Laudrup is another.

  91. rico says:

Morning Scott. Unlike our manager then, he’s not always the first to praise a side who has just beaten us. That’s one thing about him which annoys me….

  92. Scott from Oz says:

    Mmm.
And the reason i will never respect Fergie.
His side were mot beaten on their merits in 27 years!

  93. Lee says:

Hail Frank McKeown, the captain of Stranraer in the Scottish 3rd tier.On Saturday he played in a 1-1 draw against Clyde in the Scottish Cup watched by 681 fans, who were all watching a true hero. Because in Frank’s other life he is a firefighter, and his pre match routine involved spending the night trying to save lives from the helicopter crash in Glasgow! Describing it as “not the ideal preparation for a game!”

    Morning all btw!
