Well, well, well…..
Yes I know it was Blackpool, yes I know they were down to ten men but let’s not forget Blackpool romped Wigan 4-0 last weekend, a Wigan side that beat us 3-2 towards the end of the season…
Today was more than three points, today was about a few players who I know I have ridiculed, doubted or just slated off for their performances.
The biggest thing was the boy who came from somewhere near me, Theo Walcott. The player who gets his fair share of slating by man fans. Today though he came good, by all accounts he could and maybe should have had many more goals than the three he scored, but he scored three and his confidence would have sored.
Another player, Chamakh should have had a hat-trick, but at least in the end he scored his first premiership goal for his new club, again, he will have gained confidence from getting off the mark.
All in all a great result, like I said, I know it was ‘only’ Blackpool, but its three points and six goals in the bag…
To top it all, we didn’t even concede……..
