No I’m not going mad…..

A victory at the Etihad stadium tomorrow would earn us three points, we’d be back into the top four and confidence will continue to grow and of course it would a huge victory over the sugar daddies who are trying to ruin the Premier League by buying every player available, regardless of what they cost.

A draw, well I think many Arsenal fans would take that result today if they could and that is not being negative.

A loss, well that result is not in the fans minds, just the thought is unbearable but let’s be honest, it could happen, just look at the players they have!

However, Chelsea beat them, after going a goal down, AVB changed his tactics and won the game, so if they can do it, so can we.

Go back just a few months to our last trip to Manchester, a horrid day for all Arsenal fans but what came out of it. No matter how much our football club wish to deny it, that result forced Arsene Wenger’s hand in the final few days of the transfer window and with those mature signings has come stability, confidence and some very good results.

Not for one minute am I suggesting we will suffer in a similar way tomorrow and nor would I wish that just to get Wenger busy in the January transfer window but, should we come away from the Etihad stadium with not even a point, it may just make Arsene Wenger realise that we need just one or two extras next month. More importantly, not just make him realise but actually go out and sign them.

Wenger backs his current crop but for once he has he hasn’t said things like ‘it’s the best squad’ etc etc, this time it’s more simple:

I am personally completely happy with the team I have.

I think most fans feel the same, the current first eleven (team) can beat anyone on their day but it’s when some of the squad players have to step in, we struggle. So as happy as he is with his team, we have to hope he’s thinking he’s not quite so happy with his squad.

Talking of which, Wenger has not 100% ruled out trying to re-sign Thierry Henry – he has said that Henry is still good enough to play in the Premier League but has not made any contact with his current club about a loan deal… Yet!!

The Sun headlines are huge and all about how Citeh think a £30M offer will see them snatch Robin van Persie from us in the summer, what idiots they are eh!!

Another headline is about Jermain Defoe, he’s fed up with playing fiddle to Adebayor and at 29 years old, he wants to be playing and pushing his way into the England set up for next year. Yesterday we talked about how a PL striker would be the best option for us as he’d not have to get used to this league, could he be the answer??

Oh, and in case you missed it yesterday, we have drawn AC Milan in the next round of the Champions League, plenty of time before we have to think about that though.

That’s it for another day, have a good one….
