£100 million to spend! Wenger wants Di Maria & Benzema as Transfer Window finally opens…

Morning all,

I’m pretty sure that had Laurent Koscielny put his boot up to stop a forward and kick him in the head, he’d have seen a straight red card!

Pierre Webo should have been off in my opinion but it was our defender who had to depart. A few stitches and then a trip to the hospital to check for no broken bones. Fingers crossed there is no serious damage.

We needed to sign a defender before that incident, we certainly need to now…. If not two but it’s the strikers making the papers again today as we are linked to Karim Benzema. Apparently, Arsene Wenger hopes they might be willing to sell the 25 year old in order to fund the deal for Gareth Bale. Winger Di Maria is also linked with us as The daily express believe a double raid on Real Madrid is imminent.

Wojciech Szczesny was another player on the receiving end of a nasty tackle, he was left with stud marks around his neck, courtesy of Moussa Sow. That foul went unpunished and Bruno Alves was lucky to receive just a caution after elbowing Per Mertesacker…

Not a good night on the injury front but a very good night on the pitch otherwise, especially the second half.

No-one can deny Fenerbache were awful in the first half. They couldn’t string a pass together and gifted the ball to us on many many occasions. As usual we tried to pass the ball into the net and it just wasn’t happening for us. Too much faffing around in and just around the penalty area was letting us down.

0-0 at half-time, we really had to come out and find the net…

And we did, in some style too.

Fenerbache had just had a golden opportunity to take the lead after Ramsey had been robbed by Dick Kite, he blasted his shot towards goal, well, more like twenty yards over the top of goal really…

Within moments we were ahead.

Aaron Ramsey had possession just outside the box, he played an inch perfect pass through the defence for Theo Walcott. He then passed another inch perfect pass across the box to Kieran Gibbs who fired home…. A stunning goal and no more than we deserved..

Walcott could have added a second shortly after but was denied by Demirel but it wasn’t too long before the second came.

I think the goalkeeper will be disappointed he didn’t do better for our second, I’d be disappointed if Szczesny had let this one in but, if you don’t try from distance, you get nothing and we don’t do this often enough so credit to Ramsey. The Welshman had made a run through the centre, smelt the goal and let loose his shot from over twenty yards.  Demirel got a hand to it but could only help the ball into the bottom left side of the goal. 2-0

Fenerbahce came to life a bit then but no-one could find a away past Szczesny.

Giroud made it 3-0 with a penalty after Theo was bundled over in the area. That was about the only thing the Frenchman got right last night….

At times, we looked good, especially in the second half and Ramsey didn’t give up all night.. Jenkinson didn’t really put a foot wrong when he came on, neither did Sagna when he was asked to switch central. Up front though and especially in the first half we were awful, in particular Giroud.

We need a top class striker, a class player to plug the gap in the middle of the pitch which was again exposed last night and a central defender. I still think we need a world class keeper too although some may disagree having seen Szczesny play well last night. If he always played like that my view would be different but he doesn’t.

A good night, a great result and an extra £30 million nearly in the bank…

Now go and spend it Arsene!!

Talking of which, Wenger said:

The transfer market starts for me now and a lot of activity will happen between now and September 2nd.

BBC Sport reckon he’s about to spend £100 million……

Now then, where did that pig land…..

Have a good day all,…….

  1. GunnerDNA says:

Good Morning HH, when u got a player like Sagna in the team, u don’t have to look far for a defender. lol

  2. tsgh says:

    Morning fellow HHers,

I had a decent sleep for once in a long time…

    Pure Rambo first blood…lol

And my boy Aaron Ramsey made 79 passes 86% completion – most passes on the pitch. Also most tackles -5

That tackle stat is the highest across the whole Europe this week.

On other news look away Rico and Syg, we are going for Italian international goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano of Palermo Serie B. lol

A quality keeper only better than Machette and Handovic imho…

  3. ozgunner says:

“we don’t need quality we need numbers” ?? uh? and Benzema – at 40m you are kidding right? good result in the end last night

  4. Lawrence says:

Excellent result one that we should expect against Fenerbache.

What is worrying is our depth of squad, in fact we dont have one with all the injuries.

Your last comments of Wenger’s word regarding transfers. Why is it a club like Arsenal gamble so much. Did we not get a £150m deal with Puma. Why wait for reaching CL Group stage before we buy?
We still have not qualified and it would be the most almighty turn around but football is a funny old game. So will he wait till Wednesday morning next week to finalize all the deals? Well looks like the thirteen who played will be playing in the next 3 games. The last being against the spuds.

Why cant our club 3rd biggest if not 2nd biggest in the UK go and get the job done?

Good read Rico been hitting the refresh button since 9:30 for my daily hit of HH 🙂

  5. rico says:

Oz – the other day he said we have a thin squad so he knows we need numbers…

But and there is usually a but, I’m convinced a few young ones will be stepping up to the squad too…

  6. devilgunner says:

Good Morning Lady, Sir, Gentlemen and Ladies.

Fine post following a fine result.

Hope we kick off from here.

Sagna did well at CB. He should play there more often and rotate with Per, Kozzer, TommyV. So AW should buy another RB and keep Jenks because we need 2 RB, 2 LB, 4 CB to compete. That should put the defence straight because we need numbers there.

But I have a feeling that Bellerin will be promoted to RB instead of buying another defender.

  7. ozgunner says:

I think he’ll buy but I don’t think we’ll be much better off as usual Rico, I mean history is not on his side as far as any real improvements are concerned year after year are they?

  8. tsgh says:

Good write-up by the way Rico… I know you did not like waxing lyrics about Ramsey but…

Re. Viviano… of course stats? lol

2 assists for Theo; not bad at all…

Morning Oz, jeez you are never happy are you?

  9. rico says:

Thanks Lawernce and yes, we should be beating Fenerbache but the commentator said last night that we are the only English side to have won out in Turkey so it’s a good result… Chavs and Mancs failed….

Not sure that the Puma deal, which hasn’t been confirmed as far as I know, would make any difference to this window as the changeover/money would take place once the Nike deal expires. Might be wrong there of course…

Im seriously hoping that the CL result has caused the delay, it’s the only excuse he has…

  10. tsgh says:

You are right about the Puma deal… its all in the pipe line dependent on our performances…
But our club would rather play dodge ball with the fans mental health…

  11. devilgunner says:

there is a gif of Kozzer receiving the kick.

Did they do a GIF of Diaby WACKING Terry, or the Williams one where he tries to kill RVP.

  12. ozgunner says:

tsgh – do I trust Wenger to buy right? No mate I don’t. As I said good win last night, although much better opposition lie in wait. Good news on Kozzer devil. Horror tackle that

  13. tsgh says:

    Morning Dev,

Of course Shez is a quality keeper just he is just not English and plays for Arsenal… lol

According to stats, Shez is better than Begovic and Lloris but…. lol

  14. ktr7 says:

Good read rico.the fenerbahce fans should really stop this ‘welcome to hell’ stuff.if thats hell i’ll get my coat and race you there 😉

  15. rico says:

    Morning Devil, thanks..

Oz – I’m not getting excited either, as you say, history speaks volumes..

I don’t get that Ts, I love writing good things about all of our players, that what fans enjoy doing but when they are poor or make continual mistakes, I can’t bury my head in the sand and suggest they were good…

I thought Ramsey was very good last night, couple of times he got caught dallying on the ball but he was good. I didn’t need the stats to tell me he was though… 😉

I back TW for years but all during that time, I knew he was very average and to be honest, he still can be at times…

  16. Canadian Gooner says:

Good Morning to the Lady of the House and all fellow Gooners in residence.

I have to agree with DG – “A fine post following a fine result”.

  17. stevepalmer1 says:

Morning all, An early start Rico but a late post was you sleeping or what 🙂 but nice one anyway.
Ramsey had a blinder last night my man of the match he worked his socks off and challenged for everything, i have had moans about him in the past but he has heart and a blinding attitude players like him Sagna and Jenkinson will be the making of Arsenal. Theo got a lot of prais last night and although i knock him regulary he does have some moments of brilliance but he is frightened when it comes to hand to hand combat. Jenks was left on his own many times while Theo finds the centre out of the line of fire he goads me but he does have moments. Gibbs also worked hard up and down all night, he busted a gut to get to that cross and that after 8 stitches, Koshelney will probably have more stitches but bravery was matched by dedication my hat goes off to him. Fenabach were not realy much of a threat but the game still had to be won and the lads worked hard. Many have said that Szezesney was super not in my eyes i still say he is an accident waiting to happen. Luckily he got a touch on the ball before he took the playr out completlt but his rolling round on the floor after the challenge made me feel that he thought he had given another penalty he has to go. Wenger has said that we start to buy now, everybody will say about time but whoever we bid on another club will come straight in for. while we have left it far to late the other clubs will only be doing it inside the window. I didn’t expect anything different from Wenger he is always late we should expect nothing different. Watching the Chelsea game after our sides terific win, I noticed that Chelsea was awarded their first free 3 points from the referee, Aparently you can elbow anybody and not get sent off you can blatently handle a ball infront of the world and its not handball and a regular fouler can score goals after he should have been sent off, some things in football never changes.

  18. C Hills says:

    Morning rico and all.

£50 million + 1 could tempt lfc imo.

Why are all good things born in august, rico?

  19. rico says:

Thanks Kt, that will teach them for staying up all night setting off fireworks outside the team hotel…

    Morning Cg, thanks…

  20. ktr7 says:

Theo was very average last night but yet again he is very decisive, penetrative and effective for us.he had an assisit and won the penalty.he can be frustating to watch at times but he gets those results.

  21. Woody says:

I like the patience is a virtue comment on the previous post.

This applies for everything except new signings!!!!

I appreciate I was a bit keen this morning, but it’s the first morning since the day after the Newcastle win last season that I’ve been able to wake up and feel positive!

  22. tsgh says:

    Hiya CH…

Oz- you may watch 10 minute segments of Motd and think players like MF is the ideal candidate for us… a lot of other people thing he is very over rated.

Additionally you and many fans may dislike AW and complain about his £150k a week salary but to a lot of people who truly know football, AW is still pound for pound better than most managers you may consider better including Klopp and Lowe. imho of course

  23. ktr7 says:

I can’t say anything more about Ramsey really.i’m just so happy for him that he is getting the recognition he deserves.

Last night I saw a steady improvement from wilshere in that deep role.he held his position well and covered for Ramsey adequately.he may have had a few rash passes and maybe dallied on the ball a few times but you can see he has a couple of gear shifts to go before he reaches his peak.

  24. rico says:

Sp, we had a heavy downpour earlier and it knocked the power off, no tinternet 🙁

Woody, I was being ironic about the post, didn’t the 😉 give it away…

  25. ozgunner says:

Was it ever actually alive Rico? Liverpool were not going to be pushed around like we are, that was clear. I tip Real to pull out of the Bale race and sign Suarez, thoughts?

  26. southyorkshiregunner says:

    Morning all. Great result.

Wenger has been tracking Benzema for years….

“I’m surprised – I didn’t think Lyon would sell…” he said when he’d signed for Real Madrid..
Then begs the question, ‘if he wanted him, why didn’t he ask?’

Benzema is a marquee signing, as would be Di Maria. Nearly 110 international caps between them …. and for France and Argentina and not North Korea or Congo.
    Great stuff.

The goalkeeping position is an issue as is the fact we need a central defender and a midfielder or two, because neither Diaby or Chamberlain will grace the first eleven for more than 15 PL appearances this season.

Re: Villa last night. What comes around goes around. Denied a penalty and overlooked a red card…… Things will even themselves out throughout the season.

  27. Canadian Gooner says:

John Cross asks some pertinent questions and poses some possible answers on Arsenal’s transfer procedures. I do agree that Arsene should identify the player targets and make suggestions on prices and terms, but the business should then be turned over to the negotiators.

Cross: Time for Wenger to delegate?

    http://espnfc.com/blog/_/name/arsenal/id/2126?cc=5901

  28. tsgh says:

Kt- the Ramsey band wagon has began to over flow… all the haters have changed their tune now. lol

I have mates who go on about how Cabaye is wrong for us and say Bender is better and more suitable. I then ask them how many times they have seen the twins play and then they tell me both Bender play like proper DM… I chuckle and rest my case… lol

  29. tomstoned says:

morning all…good post Rico ..and a great result..and now we might see abit of shopping ;)…god dammit i needed a win..suddenly my mood changed..

  30. teebajj says:

    Morning all,

    Good post Rico….

Di maria would be a good signing, not sure about Benzema, don’t think Madrid will sell.

  31. rico says:

I think so Oz, just the insulting £1 riled Liverpool..

Bit of a spat between Lambert and Jose too wasn’t there?

    It was emma..

  32. ozgunner says:

tsgh – bit personal there, and sad seeing you know nothing of me. People who truly know football?? ouch

  33. C Hills says:

Moyes is bidding peanuts for MF and LB, what does that say?

kt, JW may be the reason Arsene is not too keen on a dm.

  34. southyorkshiregunner says:

Benzema to Arsenal; Suarez to Madrid?

Suarez did too much to agitate a move away from Liverpool …. and it has gone very quiet … eerie in fact for there not to be any fireworks …. especially with Liverpool being linked to every half-decent striker in Europe

  35. ktr7 says:

    Hi CH.

I also noted an improvement in wilshere’s dribbling when he approached the final 3rd.I’ve always maintained he needs to be a bit subtle on the ball when he reaches the final 3rd by taking more touches instead of going for all out power.last night he did this perfectly several times for example when he created that shooting chance and the other chance when theo took the ball off his feet.this allows him to better control his dribble and create chances for himself or teammates without running into defenders.

The way he ghosts past players effortlessly is a delight to watch.

  36. southyorkshiregunner says:

well said Rico …..@10:33….. Arsenal ought to nip the bullshit backslapping in the bud…

  37. tsgh says:

Morning Syg, stop hating on Congo? AR16 has Franco-African ancestry according to Pique. He also thinks his dark hair makes him a Basque…lol

I knew you would be excited about the Benzema news…

I said at the beginning of the summer that Di Maria was more likely than Hig. Alonso too but Asier is injured so I guess that is out of the question…

  38. emma says:

Love the way the ref stuffed up Lambert’s aston villa yesterday. We never had it our way over the weekend. Key decisions went against us otherwise we could have won it. Last weekend match reminded me of our match v newcastle when we were 4-0 nil up and Phil Toad decided to become an a**

  39. teebajj says:

Gulliem Balague (Sky Sports) claims we missed out on David Villa

Watched him play lastnite against Barcelona, he still looked sharp, plus he scored a good goal.

He would have been a great bargain though…

  40. rico says:

Does my head in Syg, one win against a very dodgy Turkish side and all is rosy, no it’s not, it’s far from it…

Great result and I’m over the moon, but build on it – not sit back and talk all big boots about it…

  41. tsgh says:

I am sure they do or have seen Sven in the CL Ch…

But I always ask those who call for MF or the Benders to tell me when they saw either play as DM for both club and country? 😉

Last summer I was talking about Gundagun before anyone else was… he was a ramsey figure before he moved to BVB 09. Now people even say we should buy İlkay as a DM when he is not a DM but everyone is entitled to their opinion, I guess…

  42. C Hills says:

Kt, I never did see yesterday’s match but on saturday, that double axes didn’t workout quite well especially considering Villa’s first goal.

Djotodja might come for Syg, Ginge.

  43. rico says:

Ts – your 10.26 is out of line, you have your views and others have theirs. Suggesting you know more than others isn’t what HH is about. No more please…

  44. rico says:

Thanks Teebajj and Tom, I needed a win too. Now for Fulham, let’s see if we can a more difficult opposition…

  45. Canadian Gooner says:

Ginge – I didn’t intend to abandon you, I’ve been busy with the family, especially my kids and grandchildren. Also, after we were sabotaged by an incompotent referee on Saturday I didn’t feel like posting or rehashing. I hurt enough as it was.

  46. ktr7 says:

Di maria for me would be a dream.he is maybe what wenger saw in Bernard.Di maria for those who don’t watch him often is like a combination of a winger/attacking midfielder.if he comes he could easily play the santi role out wide but with an added advantage that he can go on the outside of his fullback to hit an accurate cross.he is very creative especially with through balls and is as good as any of our midfielders when it comes to passing.he is also a workhorse who will run for 90 minutes and thats why mou loved him.he would be such an upgrade to our wings its not even funny…

  47. C Hills says:

rico, you should change your birthday, august is a majestic month.

Ginge, I think we’ll be just fine with Cabaye, a bit like MA08 but with more pace and grit.

  48. tsgh says:

Ha ha Rico I love the way you are so quick to reprimand certain people! Whilst most aimed at others go unnoticed by you… hmm

  49. Scott from Oz says:

    Morning all.
The afterglow of a great result like that just hasn’t waned, and or should it….yet.
Guys, i touched on it last night and will ask again…..what exactly has Szczesny done wrong this season/pre season to cop the constant criticism??
In fact, what did he, or Fabianski, do wrong after Xmas last season to justify it?
Aaron….well, what does a dumb Aussie know about footballers hehehe
I must applaud everyone on HH.
Plenty have been negative of late, but nearly everyone has given credit where it is due after the game.
Elsewhere, most of the critics have been very silent today.
That is what i love about you guys.

  50. emma says:

Benzema story making the headlines. Until it appears on .com I won’t believe it. Don’t see madrid selling as he is currently their only experienced striker. The only way they will sell is if they have an replacement available. Di maria will be a dream signing but still won’t believe until it’s on .com.

  51. ktr7 says:

for those doubting if wenger wants di maria this is what di maria said a few years back before he joined benfica…

“I don’t know exactly what happened with my
    proposed transfer to Arsenal,”
“I was very excited about joining them but it
    never happened.
“From what I’ve been told, the transfer money
that was supposed to appear, never appeared.
“And just a day-and-a-half later, Benfica heard
about the problem, showed interest in me and
    quickly hired me.
“But I am sure that Arsène Wenger would have
had a lot to teach me.”

    Wenger obviously rates him.

  52. Canadian Gooner says:

Rico – Amen to your 10:40 a.m. A good result, but we have a long way to go. I liked our team spirit though.

  53. rico says:

Not at all Ts. Granted some might get by as I am not on here 24 hours a day, but if I see them and it’s personal to another then I always step in..

If I have missed an attack on you, then do forgive me.

  54. Woody says:

It’s still early for me Rico, I was up too early this morning!

The problem with Cabaye is that he doesn’t add height to our midfield. If you look at it Arteta, Rosicky and Ramsey aren’t exactly tall and Wilshere, Cazorla, Theo and OX are tiny!

We need more height to save these embarrassing set piece goals we give away

  55. tsgh says:

Of course Kt re Di Mari.

I bet it was AW’s fault the money never came 😉

I don’t claim to be in itk, but I was told at the beginning of the summer that AW has given Fox n Dick and IG his list from 3 to 4 years ago to bring those players in.

  56. rico says:

No idea Syg, news to me… I heard he had a trip to Las Vegas that went a bit wrong, maybe it all stemmed from there…

  57. ktr7 says:

Am a little curious about this Benzema saga.it makes no sense for madrid to sell him now unless they’ve got someone else lined up.if they are selling him wenger would pay anything to get him.he has tracked him for years and benz would fit in vey well here.

Wenger may also be playing poker with pool with his ‘absolutely no chance’ comments since barely an hour after he said that the benzema stories were all over the media.

  58. southyorkshiregunner says:

Ozzie – it maybe that Suarez is going to Madrid.
I just can’t see Liverpool keeping him ….

  59. Canadian Gooner says:

Scott – Good Evening. You are entitled to a ‘cock on dung hill’ crow regarding Ramsey. He certainly showed lots of energy, grit and skill. I just hope Jack the Lad can follow suit. It looks promising.

  60. rico says:

Woody, I’m not a huge fan of Cabaye either, for the same reasons, I’d love Fellaini but it seems his head has been turned by Man U…

  61. ktr7 says:

if we pushed out the boat for di maria we will get him since they are overloaded in his position.bale is the new toy and will start.di maria plays for Argentina whereby the competition for a spot in attack is ferocious and he must play for him to get a slot for the worldcup.he is very ‘gettable’ imho.

  62. ozgunner says:

syg – agree mate maybe there is a backdoor agreement here, they would be getting a far better player IMO

  63. rico says:

Scott – there is plenty to be critical about but last night is not one. Going to a hostile arena as we did and batter them on their own turf equals a really good night…

  64. tsgh says:

Oz- my apologies about 10:26… when I say you I did not mean you personally I meant it as a a second person pronoun; maybe using ‘one’ would have been more appropriate for making a generic comment.

What I meant was people may watch Motd or any other coverage and see the best bits of a player but they do not actually look at the bigger picture either on field or off field…

  65. Canadian Gooner says:

ktr7 – The whole Suarez saga has gone very quiet, too quiet for something not to be up. Whether he is coming to Arsenal or going somewhere else is anyones guess.

If he goes to UnReal we may well have a chance to get Benzema &/or Di Maria, especially if they also get Bale. Benzema would give us what we need and that without the accompanying problems Suarez would bring.

  66. Scott from Oz says:

Hi CG, i truly am more pleased for the player than i am in being proven right.
What he went through to where he is now….what a journey.
Jack is still on his way and will get there.
    Rico, agreed.
It was a memorable performance under immense pressure.
Syg, your 11.00 am is pure gold mate 🙂
Ginge, your stats show how smart(lucky) i am lol

  67. Scott from Oz says:

I just heard PSG have trumped our bod for Cabaye.
Also, Benzema is a realistic chance….Real need to fund their move for Suarez.

  68. stevepalmer1 says:

    Ozgunner, just seen your 10.31
dont get down about what people say mate, I know bugger all about anything but i still voice my opinion, were on a site where its ok to dissagree i expect everyone to dissagree with what i say but thats their opinion. I have found that in life you can’t always get people to see your side of things so we move on to the next subject that we can dissagree on 🙂 I think you know what your talking about but i couldn’t agree on everything people might start talking 🙂

  69. ktr7 says:

Oz we were in for di maria before he went to benfica.i think work permit issues were the problem and Benfica pounced.the rest is history.

Theoretically if we were to get Benz i think wenger could mould him into the player he was supposed to be.for a forward he is as complete as it gets since he can do anything in attacking sense.if we were to make him the main man and keep him motivated he could be a beast for us.in terms of talent alone he is as good as they come.

  70. tsgh says:

The reason why I will always have faith in AW and his squad, transfer policies etc is that he may not be a winner like Saachi, Pep or Mauren but the fact is that even Jupp Heynckes went 15 years without winning a trophy and he spent a total of nearly 500M euros.

Most winning teams in actual fact win not more than 6 games more than us a season.

Even at AW’s worst, Rednose win ratio was just 8% more than AW and he buys proven quality no doubt. 8% is less than 4 games in the EPL.

Even when we consider that, the trolley dash 2 summers ago was shambolic, the success ratio is better than Rednoses’ success ratio on recruitment last season which was about 28% ie only PV10 was considered a successful buy out of Kagawa, Buttner, Powell etc.

One may forget players like Ox were bought from the old 3rd division; who else can make a star by buying from 2nd and 3rd division?

  71. ktr7 says:

I’m with woody on this one.we need that variety in midfield.just look at the difference a fully fit diaby makes to our midfield.we need something different to what we have already.

  72. tsgh says:

All that glitters is not gold. 😉

Benzema & Giroud have scored exactly the same number of league goals since the start of the 2011/12 season.

  73. Canadian Gooner says:

SYG – I’m not sure I buy the conspiracy part of the start of the LadyArse article, but it is possible. However, I can certainly follow and agree with the reasoning in the remainder of the article. If the double deal for Benzema and Di Maria were to come off it would go a long way to filling some holes and solidifying the spine for us.

  74. tsgh says:

kt- I have huge faith in Frimps and Aneke… I see attributes I saw in Ramsey when people were slating them.

Aneke in particular will have a huge career because for an English man (sorry CH he is not Nigerian 😉 )he can play in almost any position on field.

Riquelme and Pizni/Di Natali all said Frimps was the strongest they have played against… and thosed guys have played against the likes of Donadoni, Gattusso etc…

  75. Woody says:

SYG – he may be 6ft, but he’snot exactly the type to get stuck in with his head like a Fellani.

I’m sure you get my point 🙂

  76. Canadian Gooner says:

SP1 – Re your “…I know bugger all about anything…”.

Far be it for me to disagree with your self critique, but it hasn’t stopped you from writting and submitting some well composed and reasoned articles. Keep it up.

  77. ozgunner says:

Thanks Stevep1 – After the year i have had a couple of tongue slips ain’t going to upset me mate. HH like all forums, its about opinion as you say, I have always gotten on well with tsgh actually, although he might disagree 🙂 Anyway its over with now, he’s owes me a beer ha!

  78. devilgunner says:

Di Maria plus Benzema if they get Bale and stuff the dippers for Suarez is not bad for us.

Infact its a good deal for us. 🙂

but I am not counting the chickens before I see them in front of me on a plate stewed in mushroom and orange sauce with some chips and veg 😉

    ok ok Rico. …..sorry. 🙂

Get them plus a DM and a RB and we are sorted a bit more.

  79. ozgunner says:

Emma – in fairness I think their overall transfer policy has been spot this year. We’ll see at seasons end if they got it right I guess. I actually like AVB – OK i will get my coat now ha!

  80. tsgh says:

Psg announced yesterday that unles there is a major injury their transfer activity is over…according to L’equipe at least.

  81. ozgunner says:

I have you on ignore Scott, I don’t want you asking me about Ramsey and his one and a half good games with no hatricks!! 🙂

  83. Canadian Gooner says:

Ginge – I’m sure some of the Young Guns like Frimpong are destined to make their mark soon. Getting three or four good experienced players in now isn’t going to stop that, but it would help us to ease them into the team over the next few seasons.

I’d hate to see the YG’s thrown in at the deap end, hoping they’ll swim instead of sink. Arsene has admitted we are a little low in numbers, but I’d hate to have to depend on the YG’s before they are ready. That could cost us some potentially great players.

  84. tsgh says:

I totally agree Cg…I am sure those young guns won’t mind 10 games a season for the next 2 years imo…

Bayern and Barca have specialist players who make only 10 appearances a season… Abidal, Keita nowe Song. lol

  85. Canadian Gooner says:

DG – If your not carefull with those chickens, you could find yourself mucking out Rico’s chicken coup.

  86. tsgh says:

Scolari says JC is going to stay at QPR… his demands are too huge. Does he share the same agent as our only B-52 TGSTEL?… lol

  87. Canadian Gooner says:

Ginge – I don’t think Cesar and Bendtner share the same agent(s), but they certainly share the same attitude – money first, last and foremost. We may see neither of them at the World Cup.

  88. ktr7 says:

Reporter:Why did you celebrate like that
when you scored?Don’t you have respect
for Barcelona? D.Villa: Respect? They sold
    me for 5 millions 🙂

  89. John says:

Nice article…i think AR16 deserves more credit than he’s recieved, his frustrating trademark delay b4 laying the pass to Theo was a delight…whats up with Poldi?

  90. allezkev says:

Very encouraging rumours linking us to Karim Benzema.

I would take him above all the other forwards that we have been linked to..

But as Oz says, and I agree totally with him on this, we are talking about Arsenal here…

I would love to be proved wrong and would gorge myself on humble pie, but to me it’s all bollocks until I see the big man standing next to Wenger on AFC.com holding up an Arsenal shirt…

Spot on Oz. now get back into that bathroom and finish off the tiling… 😉

  91. Scott from Oz says:

I am watching the replay now…i reckon Webo was genuinely upset, shocked and sorry for the whack on Kozzer.
Still, it was a bad one.

  92. Scott from Oz says:

Kev, word has it Benzema is on your cab as we speak, but due to a disclosure clause and extra hundred, you are playing ball 🙂

  93. Canadian Gooner says:

Kev – Regardless of the trials and tribulations of the transfer window, you must have faith my son.

All will be revealed to the faithful in the fullnes of time.

  94. Scott from Oz says:

I am off to bed, and away fishing for the weekend.
Trout and carp on the agenda 🙂
Anyway, i may not have and coverage, so if i don’t catch you all for the game, talk to you all on sunday 🙂

  95. Canadian Gooner says:

Rico – That may or may not be true regarding Benzema and Di Maria, but if UnReal get Bale and Suarez they may not have much choice. Let us hope it is so.

  96. Woody says:

    Faith is indeed required.

If you look at it, whenever we have to qualify for the CL our signins are made in late August.

When we don’t we get them in earlier.

The trolley dash with Arteta etc was after we beat Udinese – last year we didn’t have to qualify and Poldi, Giroud and Cazorla were in earlier…

  97. rico says:

I’d still rather Rooney or Suarez to be honest Cg, we know what they are about in the PL…

    Enjoy the break Scott…. Night

  98. rico says:

The trolley dash was after Manure battered us Woody, and some in that last minute dash were simply awful, Santos, Park and Squilli being three..

We can’t afford to make signings like that again.

  99. tsgh says:

The poldi rumours are rubbish. He scored the most important goals for us than anyone else in the team.

Only Bale, Benteke and Judas won more points for their clubs than Poldi last season.

  100. ktr7 says:

rico that doesn’t count for much at madrid.Robben/Sneijder were happy at madrid but when madrid decided to purchase kaka/ronaldo they knew their playing time was going to reduce drastically.no matter how happy they were they had to leave for the sake of their careers.this mainly applies to di maria at the moment.benz is still 1st choice ST as it stands so he has no reason to leave.

  101. tsgh says:

I agree Rico but both the BFG and Arteta were linked to us before the mauling. AW denied both of course and said he did not know Arteta… lol

  102. ozgunner says:

I just now read somewhere Rico where the Madrid Supremo said “we are open to changing our strike force” I took that as meaning Benzema out Suarez in? The press… don’t you just love em’

  103. rico says:

They might not be Ts, some club out there might think he’s the answer to their problems and will offer a silly amount for him..

    Anything could happen…

  104. stevepalmer1 says:

When you consider the stitches we have had in the last few years, no wonder the health service is in the shit.

  105. ozgunner says:

faced quite a bit of criticism ever since the much published move to Madrid – Accused of bring fat, lazy, needing to many chances to actually score (so Giroud will be happy) Many of the fans on the forums felt they sold the wrong guy. I have seen him a bit on TV, looks a better team player in the games i saw but Higuain looks the better finisher. Neither one has a speed issue, neither one has technique issues although Benezma looks the bigger guy I am not sure he uses that height to his advantage. Of course they are both over shadowed big time by Ronaldo but then again, most are. I must say though 40m seems way over the top to me.

  106. Woody says:

I agree that we need good signings, but I don’t think we should believe everything the press write.

I see Arsenal fans going mad when Wenger says that our first team has enough quality we just need numbers.

What do you expect him to say…”my players are rubbish”?

When managers speak they are normally speaking to their players and not the fans/media.

  107. stevepalmer1 says:

Sitting there watching Chelsea last night, and my man David Luiz looked to be crying out, (What about me Arsene)

  108. tsgh says:

    Who should you believe?

Gazidis: “We’re not waiting for CL qualification”, Wenger (after CL qualification): “My transfer window starts now”. #Communication

  109. ozgunner says:

Woody if i am not mistaken didn’t Arsene say “we need quality” at seasons end. In fact is that not the standard line every year? We need top top players to replace the legends we have now 🙂 OK a bit dramatised but you get the idea

  110. tsgh says:

    That is honesty Oz. 🙂

The bearer of bad news i.e Syg… are you trying to get Rico and Dev cheesed off with Flamoney rumours? lol

  111. stevepalmer1 says:

I know i’m sad but imagine Baleout tripping over his comb and breaking both legs and his heart making arms, where would that leave them.

  112. Canadian Gooner says:

Rico – I can see why you’d like Wooney or Suarez, both proven in the BPL. However, I don’t see that either player will be available to us. Between Wooney’s wages and Suarez’s baggage, it may be just as well. Although Arsene said we could afford Wooney’s wages, I can’t see our club paying them.

Arsene could make Benzema the player he is capable of being, but isn’t yet.

  113. ozgunner says:

Flamini – my outstanding memory of all he did, was that tackle at left back against Barca in the final. Dunno why. Pay as/if you play maybe and if no one else is coming in. If Wenger wants numbers, there is one I suppose.

  114. ktr7 says:

Told by who rico 😉 anyway i’d rather trust Ornstein rather than sky sources.they did after all tell us higuain was jetting in for a medical.

Also i think there is a lot more to this suarez saga than we know.i certainly don’t take wenger’s ‘absolutely no chance’ stance for face value.he at this moment in the window will say anything to divert the press on his real intentions.

  115. Woody says:

For me the thing we need above all else is players who strike fear in to other teams. We miss this at the moment.

No defenders are scared to play against us and teams know they can (to a degree) bully us. This is what Villa did to get under our skin. They know that rather than stand up to the challenge we tend to moan to the ref and drop our heads.

Even when 1-0 up this happened again Villa.

Players like Rooney and Suarez do strike fear in to other teams and players like Fellani don’t get bullied.

Cabaye or Flamini will get bullied with the rest of the team for sure.

  116. Judge me in May says:

    Afternoon. .
I think people should calm down and see the big picture. .
It was great result last night, however it is obvious we have problems everywhere. .. .
Rambo did well last night but I wouldn’t call him world class performance .He was bad in AV game but I wouldn’t call him useless. .its only one game against a very poor opposition..he is getting better and better though. .
That exactly what the board snd Wenger want us to believe, we don’t need great players because we have quality crap..
Lowering fans expectations and make them accept mediocrity as someone said in this forum. .
Hope we sign good players. .we need them..
Wenger probably will make one signing and then say we have tried but there was a tsunami in the Maldives that prevented us..

  117. Canadian Gooner says:

SYG – That news doesn’t cheer me up in the least. If it was up to me, he’d be loaded into one of the cannons outside the Emirates and fired into the Thames. I have have no use for the the lying little weasel.

  118. stevepalmer1 says:

I always liked Hleb, he said he made a big mistake leaving us, after he left i said we made a big mistake buying him. (wheres he now)

  119. Woody says:

Agreed KT – you remember when we signed Sol Campbell every one was expecting someone else (can’t remember who) to walk in because that’s what Wenger had them believe.

The gasps echoed around the media centre because all the journos thought he was off to Liverpool or Inter and couldn’t believe it.

    Wenger loves a smokescreen.

Also (and it’s a big IF), if there was an agreement with Liverpool that we can speak about a fee for Suarez if we qualify for the CL, but if we don’t he can’t have burnt his bridges, then Wenger will do whatever to keep Liverpool happy.

Massive if as I say, but I don’t think we can believe anything anyone says at this time of year.

AVB has been telling us that Bale is going no where for the last 6 weeks – even yesterday he said it!

  120. stevepalmer1 says:

Disagree, there Woody, dont think our players were that shook up by Villa It was the ref that shook them up mate. we fought hard all game and got fcukin nuffinc

  121. Canadian Gooner says:

Well that it for me, I’m off to bed. If I don’t check back before Rico shutters the window and locks the front door to the House for the night, I’ll see you all tomorrow.

    Keep the Faith!

  122. tsgh says:

So even NUFC consider us as rivals?… pffff

Psg have allegedly offered the same amount but Pardew will rather sell to Psg… it says it all. The reason why our national team is SHITE.

Italians and Spaniards sell to each other all the time. The Germans do too.

We are too tribal and backwards imo…

  123. stevepalmer1 says:

I can’t wait to see some of your faces when Wenger starts bringing in, (who the fcuk is he) 🙂

  124. Woody says:

The reason our national team is so shite is because our players only know the English way. If you look around at successful national team their players play in lots of different countries, so they know lots of footballing styles.

I applaud English players who go abroad and give it a go, I only wish more would (apart from those at Arsenal, because are far more important than England)

  125. Woody says:

Steve – it may be the ref, but teams do it to us all the time. Little niggly fouls and our players react by throwing arms around and looking at the ref.

This happens time and time again and their players grow in confidence and our get moaney, because it’s all so unfair.

even if it is, you just have to get on with it and channel your frustration properly.

We can all sense it at the ground. We know when they players are focused or moaning…

Last night was full on focus, but against Villa they felt it was unfair and weren’t focused on the game

  126. rico says:

    Not bloody Flamoney, please Arsene!!

Kt, I don’t believe AW either re Suarez, not one bit..

Cg, as long as we sign a player who knows where the back of the net is, I’m not bothered who it is really but if I had my own way it would be one of the PL boys..

A player who will hit the ground running…

  127. ktr7 says:

Woody i agree with what you are saying since i’ve been thinking the same thing.i still believe suarez is our no.1 target.

  128. tsgh says:

Kt- if the Di Maria rumour is true, where do you see him playing?

He is left footed but prefers playing on the RHS like Theo….

  129. ozgunner says:

hope you are right ktr7 to me he could and would make a real difference … real difference ha! ok i am gone

  130. stevepalmer1 says:

Sorry Woody, I should have said dissgree on some of it 🙂
Michael Laudrup has stated in the paper he is expecting a 35 mill double bid for Michu and williams and they play tonight could be interesting

  131. ktr7 says:

Let me tell you what I think about this suarez saga.We abandoned our pursuit for higuain when we realised suarez was available.we then bid twice for him.Liverpool were probably shocked that we had the audacity to do so.what shocked them even more was that despite suarez saying how he wanted to leave the country and that he would never play for another English club he informed them he was interested and was ready to force it.

Pool were clearly rattled by this and decided to take it to the media for two reasons.firstly they leaked the news of our bid with the hope that a foreign club like madrid would come in.that did not happen.so they resorted to making out suarez as the villain for walking out on the club that stood by him.Suarez bit back with that explosive interview whereby he claimed there were broken promises.the sitiuation unfolded in a very ugly manner not to Arsenal’s liking.Wenger kept on saying he wanted an ‘amicable solution’.

Before Suarez went back to Uruguay for the international games John cross said Arsenal and Liverpool held peace talks to resolve the ugliness that had ensued between the clubs.even when suares returned he held talks with the club to cool things down.

I suspect a deal may have been struck between ourselves, suarez and liverpool depending on the CL qualification and since then we haven’t heard a word on the issue.Suarez has also not pledged his immediate future to pool depending on how things go on our end in terms of CL and our willingness to pay what pool want.Wenger further diverted attention from this saga again with his ‘absolutely no chance’ comments after the game yesterday.

it could be all BS but i think there is a chance it may happen.

  132. southyorkshiregunner says:

So do I KT. Too quiet for my liking. Especially bearing in mind the fact that Suarez called Rogers a liar …..

  133. stevepalmer1 says:

KT, i think you have summed that up as near as dammit. Yes my thoughts completely, that sounds like Wengerlogic and i think you have hit the nail fir and squarely on the head.

  134. tsgh says:

Excellent analysis Kt. I am with you there. Last nights’ game was calling for a Suarez type player to make things happen in the final third.

Don’t get me wrong I rate OG12 but Lew and Mandu all struggle in certain games but both BVB and BM call on their midfielders and wingers to deliver. Ours are not very consistent in the cagey games imo. That is what top level football has become. Many teams cancelling out each other tactically.

I may also add that we have a superb relationship with the chavs… I have just heard from a friend that Mata to Arsenal may happen. 😉

….The reason why lamela and Pjanic have gone quiet.

And according to sources the Flamini deal was discussed ages ago i.e last year. The reason why he said he wanted back to the EPl to win the title he should have won. 😉

  135. tsgh says:

    comical…

    Hi every 1

Told last night cesc is coming home.

Lars bender bid has been accepted.

    {Ed022’s Note – Hahahahaha! I have missed you, you crazy SOB!}

    malaga-gooner

  136. ktr7 says:

We haven’t gone through all that with suarez to give up now.once we qualify i expect this saga to re-emerge.its too damn quiet…its like the calm before a storm.

Ts i’d play di maria on the left in a slightly different role to him at madrid.he has also been played as a no.10 before so playing him left would give us that creativity there that santi does but with the bonus that he could play like a conventional winger something santi can’t.i reckon santi will be restored as our no.10 but with the freedom to interchange in between matches with di maria.at madrid di maria mainly provided width but at our club he may be given more creative responsibility.

  137. Woody says:

Kt – That’s my view on Suarez as well, but I think it’s more in hope that expectation.

I feel that he wants to leave Liverpool and he has made no public apology, but I’m convinced that Liverpool will do anything to sell to anyone but us.

  138. emma says:

ktr – Agree with every word you’ve just said at 1:39. With Wenger you never know

Skysports reporting that Willian having passed his medical has stalled his move to the scums considering other options. Could it be LFC have hijacked the move? More £££$$$

  140. tsgh says:

Wood- talking about apology Liverpoo’d did not actually say Suarez apologised post the international break. The media formed that view based on Brenda saying only an apology will welcome him back into the fold.

  141. ktr7 says:

I found it funny that pool fans think applauding suarez everytime they see him will make him stay.what they don’t understand is he has never had a problem with them;his beef is with the management.i still think his heart is set on leaving and if he does end up staying it will not be because he had a change of heart.I remember a few years back when we played pool at the emirates our fans applauded nasri everytime he touched the ball hoping this affection would make him stay…barely a week later he was a city player and started for them that weekend in the 5-2 demolition of sp*rs on their backyard with him playing a blinder.we lost heavily at Old trafford that same weekend.

Woody we’ll have to wait and see but stranger things have happened.maybe Suarez was cheering us on last night on his couch 🙂

  142. Woody says:

Yes that’s true, we don’t even know if that’s happened.

It may be that Liverpool have said – ok, if after the qualifiers a CL team comes in we will discuss a deal, but if they don’t then you have to stay he.

Sit tight and keep your mouth shut for the next few weeks and we will see what happens. I will invite you back to training so everyone thinks we’re a happy family.

But if no CL teams comes in then I expect a press conference or interview on LiverpoolTV where you apologise.

That seems like a fair deal. This would also give Liverpool more time to find a replacement to appease the fans.

One thing that does annoy me is hearing everyone go on about how Liverpool have acted with class over this!!!

If class is running to the press then the world has gone mad. Class is keeping things private and letting other people talk all they want.

They didn’t need to go public to generate interest – clubs offer players to other clubs all the time. It can happen quietly for sure.

All the need do is drop RM a line to say – we hear you’re interested, so how much you wanna pay?

They don’t need a Sun headline to invite Madrid to the table that is for sure.

  143. tsgh says:

It had to be Pascal Cygan. lmfao.

Very interesting. At least he has not said AFC are out of the race to get Cabaye…

  145. ktr7 says:

This is why i never take anything wenger says for face value especially regarding transfers…

Van Persie today completed a move that Alex
Ferguson never thought was possible becoming
the first player Arsene Wenger has ever sold to
    the fiery Scot.
“We never thought we could get Van Persie,” said
    the Red Devils chief.
“If you go back six months ago, I couldn’t see us
    getting him.
“I thought Arsenal are not going to let him go.
When I read he had refused a new contract, that
is when we acted. It has been a long haul.”
Even so, it took a personal intervention from
Ferguson to get the deal moving last week after it
    had apparently stalled permanently.
“I can’t elaborate but it was amicable,” said the
    Scot.
“Arsene knew the boy wanted to leave. He knew
he wanted to join us. That made it a bit easier
but not in terms of trying to reduce the fee.
“He (Wenger) could run a poker school in Govan.
“He got a great price but we are also happy the
    matter is concluded.
“From the starting position when we first started
    negotiating, Arsene has done well.”

add him saying he doesn’t know who santi is and that we were not interested in arteta and we can hope suarez move is still on the cards.

I agree with you there woody.

  146. ktr7 says:

ts as appealing as that sounds i think at this time poldi is likelier to deliver than draxler.draxler has a higher ceiling though and i’d love him at our club.am hoping poldi really improves because so far he is offering very little.

  147. Joff says:

I am an Arsenal fan living in Spain. IMHO, Di Maria is just a diver and biggest play actor in La Laga, so I’m praying we don’t get him as I can’t stand him. I’d love to see Fellaini instead as he’d give much more presence and a bit of steel to our midfield, not to mention he contributes well at the other end of the pitch. Cabaye is no better than we have already, and brings nothing new to the table.

I’d also like to see an attacking midfielder, somebody with an eye for goal (Bernard would have been great & it’s a shame that didn’t happen). I’m also hoping to see a striker with some magic. Benzema would be a great signing. I’m glad the Suarez deal looks less like happening. He’d just bring baggage.

In the GK department, we need to get rid of those Polish clowns and sign somebody decent. IMO, a top quality GK is good for an extra 12 points a season, so well worth investing.

  148. Woody says:

The only thing I know about this transfer window is that it has to end soon – my work has been suffering big time over the course of the last few weeks and it has to stop!

  149. ktr7 says:

What is encouraging about di maria/benz is that reports say we are in talks not ‘considering’.Jeremy wilson from the Telegraph went so far as to say that we have been locked in talks with madrid from monday.you can only imagine if some players wanted CL assuarance yesterday’s result will only accelerate any deals.thats why wenger sounded so confident saying he expected things to start flowing now.

SYG my gut feeling is that the suarez saga isn’t over.lets hope it has the same ending as Reina’s hopefully in our favour.

  150. ktr7 says:

Hi joff.thats certainly a downside to di maria.hope if he does come he doesn’t bring that part of his game because the media wilk tear us a new one.

  151. rico says:

I actually wish TV wasn’t in training, not until Sept 3, may just force AW to sign a much needed defender…

  152. Joaquim moreira says:

    hello there
I’m agree with Joff. He and I, we watched La Liga and Portuguese League, and we have the same opinion about Di Maria. Besides, he plays 20 minutes and then disappear…
Cabaye is a good player but I think he is not improve the team.
Fellaini yes. Higuaian and Suarez maybe too. Benzema maybe.
    Podoksky isn’t fat?

  153. rico says:

    We’ll see…

Hi JM, I can’t comment as I don’t know anything about Di Maria..

With you re Cabaye and Fellaini though..

  154. Federico says:

I’d take both Di Maria and Benzema. Both of them are massive upgrades on our squad – a striker with pace and movement and a tricky winger that can score goals.

I know that Flamini isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I’d have him as well. He is workhorse who never stops running and tackling. I’d rather have him than Cabaye, unless Wenger is going to continue with a double pivot.

Anyone else notice that our shape last night was superb. Where was that against Aston Villa?

  155. rico says:

All these rumours are encouraging, but do any of the people posting them really know any more than us?

Is Twitter any more reliable than the Arsenal rumour site?

    I doubt it….

  156. tsgh says:

Townsend was on loan at QPR. He caused us some much problems last season.

He got done for betting too by the FA…

  157. Gtid says:

And why do the press who complain about Arsene not spending writes stories about him wanting to sign a 26/30M goal keeper not even a goal scorer?

  158. tsgh says:

I doubt Flamini news is true. Unless he agrees to be a backup FB which I doubt.

One of his last matches for AC was against RM and he was super poor imo. The fans really wanted him out that night.

  159. southyorkshiregunner says:

Flamini story in the Guardian…. “Flamini poised to be offered a deal?”

It looks like the chavs might allow 1 midfielder to leave. Possibly Mata

  162. emma says:

Except improvent have taken place over the last months. If it’s the same Flamini I saw playing for AC Milan then it’s bad biz by Arsene

  163. tsgh says:

Interesting comment Emma. Unless Nani leaves I can’t see Mata moving to Old Trafford with A. Young, Zaha, Valencia, Nani but you never know in football.

  164. rico says:

I’d love us to sign Mata and I bet he’d join us too…. IF Jose will sell to us and of course, if Wenger will part with some money….

  165. devilgunner says:

Folks….how is this for plan B………….

Torres and Mata from the Chavs. Seeing that the chavs might sign Shrek and Willian that will mean two surplus players on the wing and in attack.

AW can get them for good money and revive their careers.

  166. rico says:

But Jose said he only wants one more player Devil, if he gets William, maybe we could get Rooney 🙂

Don’t like Chelsea as most will know, but it would be funny if they guzzump AVB….

  167. tsgh says:

They do Emma; I wonder if it is the opposition or them.

They were decent against United until Judas struck…

  168. tsgh says:

Jose doesn’t only buys because he wants a player. Most times it is because that player scores against his team.

Willian always scores against Chelsea, i bet he wouldn’t want him scoring against him for the spuddies.

Is Willian better than Mata, Schurlle,Hazard, Moses and De Bruyne?

    I like your logic Dev.

  169. ktr7 says:

Am slowly beginning to suspect that wenger views jack/ramsey/arteta/ox as our main CMs this season with flamini as back up and he may also hold out hope for diaby.i think he strongly believes a partnership of jack/ramsey will work.

  170. Scott from Oz says:

    Thanks Rico.
Later guys….boat is packed and i am off.
I hope to catch up with you all over the weekend.

  171. tsgh says:

It is being reported that we agreed a £40M to £45M cash plus add-ons making it £50M over 2 years or £35M plus add-ons making it £60M over 3 to 4 years.

The dippers are still hoping RM will come for him when we buy Di Maria.

  172. useroz says:

Show me someone better than who we have…you found some?

    Wenger found Flamini supposedly.

FFS…and Wenger can fuck off. Excuse my French…..

  173. devilgunner says:

Good Morning LAdy, Sir, Gentlemen and Ladies.

I know that this is an AFC blog but I found this and I could not resist not posting it…………….for you to smile.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF MARRIAGE …. Woke up with a smile this mornin …..

    Commandment 1
    Marriages are made in heaven.
But then again, so is thunder and lightning.

    Commandment 2
If you want your wife to listen and pay strict attention to every word you say, talk in your sleep.

    Commandment 3
Marriage is grand — and divorce is at least a 100 grand!

    Commandment 4
    Married life is very frustrating.
In the first year of marriage, the man speaks and the woman listens.
In the second year, the woman speaks and the man listens.
In the third year, they both speak and the neighbours listen.

    Commandment 5
When a man opens the door of his car for his wife, you can be sure of one thing: Either the car is new or the wife is.

    Commandment 6
    Marriage is when a man and woman become as one;
The trouble starts when they try to decide which one.

    Commandment 7
Before marriage, a man will lie awake all night thinking about something you said . After marriage, he will fall asleep before you finish.

    Commandment 8
Every man wants a wife who is beautiful, understanding, economical, and a good cook. But the law allows only one wife.

    Commandment 9
Marriage and love are purely a matter of chemistry.
That is why one treats the other like toxic waste.

    Commandment 10
A man is incomplete until he is married. After that, he is finished.

  174. devilgunner says:

    Morning Lady.

  175. devilgunner says:

Our recruitment can be the following……

    Midfield…….Cabaye

    Wing……….Di Maria

    Attack …… Benzema

    That is good.

    But we need better.
