Zelamen is better than Fabregas & Arsenal rejected again…

Morning all,

Well this is a huge statement made by John Cross, the man following Arsenal whilst on tour in the Far East:

Gedion Zelalem looks the one to watch. Whisper it quietly, but the word is he’s every bit as good as – if not better than – Cesc Fabregas at the same age.

Zelalem is only 16, is a terrific prospect, comfortable on the ball, able to dictate and run a game as well as having super vision. He’s young but strong for his frame and has shown in a couple of outings that he can take tough challenges.

Those who have watched our three pre-season fixtures may struggle to disagree with John Cross saying he’s one to watch because this young man has put in three classy performances but better than Cesc Fabregas at the same age?

He’s 16 years old and despite looking strong, he’s not ready for the Premier League, yet.

Come January 2014, he will turn 17 years old, the same age that Cesc was when he made his first team debut, starting with the Community Shield against Manchester United. Injuries to team-mates dictated the playing time for Fabregas that season and he played in a lot more matches than I suspect Arsene Wenger planned or wanted.

As good as he is, surely Zelamen won’t be thrown into the deep end and risk damaging his young bones as they still grow?

The Capital One Cup and Nextgen series will hopefully be his season, maybe a few FA Cup appearances too, depending on who we are up against.

The following season, a year older, stronger and wiser, then maybe he will be gently introduced into the Premier League and Champions League.

In all honesty, the younger players who have been involved in this tour have done really well have showed that they will be good enough to wear the colours of Arsenal for many a year to come.

In the meantime, we need some experience to help these youngsters mature and allow them the time to progress, otherwise, if they are relied on to fill our squad, they will no doubt all end up on the scrap heap far too early having been overplayed too young.

Talking of experience, suggestion is that we have made another offer to Liverpool for Luis Suarez. £40 million and a £1 is the amount quoted in the papers this morning! An amount which has again been rejected however, this time the offer meets the clause in Suarez contract and Liverpool have to tell the player about the offer.

Like he wouldn’t already know…..!

A few stories are going around about Wayne Rooney again, suggesting he would be prepared to move to Arsenal should his dream move to Chelsea not materialise.  ‘Dream move’ – That’s a new one.

The Bernard story won’t go away either. According to Brazilian site O Tempo, Arsenal and Atlético Mineiro have agreed a deal to bring Brazil playmaker Bernard to North London for a fee of around £21m.

The player doesn’t exactly deny he’s coming to Arsenal, in fact he’s been quite diplomatic:

I don’t know what will happen after the game. My future at Atletico Mineiro will be in the board’s hands from Thursday onwards.

Now that’s one way to make sure the fans don’t turn on you if you leave….

Right now he has more important things on his mind as his club play out the second leg of the Copa Libertadores final today…

Another one to keep us guessing but if the medical on Friday rumour is true, then not for long….

Finally, officials from Roma are reportedly flying to London today in effort to secure a deal for Gervinho.

That’s about it for another day, have a good one…

Ps:

There is a season ticket up for rent. The seat is in block 93 of the upper tier.

The price of the ticket is £1,300 (cost), which works out at £50 a game. The price of the ticket includes 7 cup games if someone was only interested in the Premiership matches then the person renting this ticket would do this for £950.

Please let me know if you are interested and I will put you in touch with the seller.

Suarez agent said that clause entitles him to leave the dippers. The dippers said it’s just to inform the player and are not oblige to sell. Lets see how it plays out as he has withdrawn from today’s friendly v Melbourne victory.
In my opnion is that clause doesn’t make sense if its just to inform the player rather than his buy-out clause.

    Good morning b/w

  2. potter says:

Always when the ticket comparison tables are printed they always forget to include the 7 cup matches. It’s still too expensive but not as bad as the picture painted. The BSM have lobbied for a league ticket only but the club say it’s too logistically difficult. However it would open up the clock end to season tickets and probably a great increase in the atmosphere levels.

  3. Adam says:

Morning Rico. Super weirdo John Henry asks what Arsenal have been smoking to offer £40 million for Suarez. What a strange thing to say? I would reckon though that it must be better gear than they were when they paid £35 million Andy Carroll and £20 million for Downing to say nothing of the exorbitant fees shelled out for the creature known as a Jordan Henderson, oh and that little bloke from Swansea. The list of overpriced duds goes on and on where that bunch of oddballs are concerned.

  4. rico says:

    Morning all..

Doesn’t make sense to me either emma, the newspapers will tell Suarez we have bid for him, he doesn’t need a clause in his contract.

  5. Bradster says:

Maybe someone said that to Henry when Kenny bought those players. Thought it was a good chirp and couldn’t wait to use it himself.

  6. Adam says:

I agree with Emma. A clause that says you must be informed, when you could do that by reading the papers, seems strange.

  7. rico says:

    It needs it too potter…

Morning Adam, I think it was the odd £1 😉

I think Henry and Rodgers forget that Suarez has huge baggage and for that reason alone, he won’t fetch as much as Cavani did…

But I do hope we are working on other deals too and not just throwing all our time into Suarez…

  8. frednerk says:

That song ..You Know What You Are..about Suarez.
Liverpool know what a little git,Suarez can be.
If he downs tools..Liverpool will live regret not selling.
    Fact.

  9. Bradster says:

Surely the agent negotiated the contract so he would know what is in the clause that his client wants. Must be a release clause as Liverpool were doing poorly for a few seasons along with not playing in CL.

  10. rico says:

Suarez just needs to go tell Rogers he wants to leave, or submit a transfer request, then he will move….

    Or dull minds Adam 😉

  11. Mayor of the Woolwich says:

    Good morning Rico.

    Good report here.
about the season ticket rentage, does it also include th CL home games? And the qualifying round of the CL?

  12. Canadian Gooner says:

Good Morning to the Lady of the House and all fellow Gooners in residance. I hope the the smog of doom and gloom has disapated.

emma – Amen to your opening comment. The dippers are going to look very stupid if Suarez &/or his agent seek some form of legal action to clarify the contract clause(s)

  13. Bradster says:

by the way ts I agree with your comment from the last post, Schinderlin would fit the Arteta role well and they can alternate.

  14. Wavy says:

I don’t get this Suarez thing. £40m+1 = sell day. A trigger is the action that has to be taken when it is reached, as far as I understand it, the trigger is not there so all and sundry can have a little chat. It is a release clause. If the player does not want to leave then that surely is his prerogative, at this point the club has no say in the outcome. My take on it! Just my interpretation.

  15. tivoli says:

Hi there, I was just curious how you compared Zelalem to Fabregas, what the main consecuences were of the comparison. Of course it is pretty obvious Zelalem is a special talent, a real gem. But until now what he showed was glimpses of his talent, especially his vision, the defence splitting passes. One area where I think he will struggle to catch up with Fabregas is goals. He certainly has all the time on his hands to develop into a goalscoring midfielder in the future. As of now Zelalem is far far behind in that comparison to Fabregas at the same age. For Cesc it was in his nature and the way he was brought up from the age of 6-8 it was something he learned and developed further. Getting into the danger areas and scoring. Zelalem doesn’t have this yet.

  16. Long Suffering Gooner says:

Hello all, I haven’t been here in a minute but I just had to stop by and vent.

Is anyone as annoyed about our lack of transfer activity coming in so far this summer? And I must say, this whole pursuit of Suarez for me is just so wrong. Surely I’m not the only one who doesn’t want us to sign him?

I don’t need to mention all his misdemeanour’s and past offences; this guy is a liability and not worth the money and effort. It just makes no sense to me why Wenger of all people would rather go for him than Higuain who to me, seems much more of a less controversial figure and more professional.
I don’t want to spend 40m on a player who when he gets on the pitch, you don’t know if he will score a hat trick or assault or racially abuse another player. All that talent won’t count for nothing if we have to put up with his theatrics (btw he has come out and admitted he dives and pretty unremorsefully so) and then he leaves after two seasons when your Reals or Barcas come knocking.

This is ridiculous really. I am not getting my hopes up for anything special this season.

  17. tsgh says:

    Morning fellow HHers,

    A fine post Rico…

On Zelalem-CF04 comparison, I will say Gedion looks very good at this age. I think his performance in the Erms cup will show if he is ready.

Having followed AW’s career from AS Monaco and all the players he has ‘converted’, I would say AW using Gedion as a no.10 on 2 occasions tells me he rates him more with his creativity than as a deep lying midfielder, especially since we do not have a Gilberto like figure in the squad to mould Zelalem like CF04 had with us at 17.

  18. Adam says:

Surely Arsenal must have enquired of Liverpool what this clause was or, if not, they must have been told by his agent.

  19. Breezy says:

Morning all. Have to agree with what’s been said on “that clause”. Apparently it also allows Suarez to talk o the club making the bid, which is even more confusing because it means Liverpool can reject the offer, like they have, but Saurez can negotiate with the bidder, which I assume he will do. My gut feel is that it is a release clause which Liverpool have screwed up on and now they’re looking to save face.

  20. tsgh says:

Hi Lsg, I do not like Suarez for obvious reasons but considering the players who can make a difference who are available, Suarez is the best. I know most fans prepare Gon Hig but I do not envisage how and why he would fit into the EPL based on his technicality or lack off.

Basically Hig is Darren Bent with an exotic name. The boy can’t really dribble and he is slower than OG12. He can’t hold the ball up either

  21. Bradster says:

I don’t really care what he has done before or off the field. I’ve seen him score many goals for a rather tame Liverpool, have extreme skills with the ball and the x factor to make things happen in a close game. All of which Arsenal were missing last season. Higuain will not offer that other than a great finisher.

  22. rico says:

He and Rooney are both in the same situation, both need to put in writing their desire to leave in order to force the club..

    Thanks Ts..

  23. Canadian Gooner says:

Adam – What happened to your hot red leather pants. I see you are now a curly haired woofer.

I remember reading an article several years ago that compared and listed players bought & sold, buying & selling prices and net spend for a five or ten year period for the top English clubs. All the big managers, including Auld Whisky Nose, had their share of duff players. However, the worst by, by a country mile, was Rafa Benitez while at Liverfool. His net spend was the highest. This would be early in the Abramovich ownership and before The sheiks bought what is now Abu Dhabi Citeh. So, the Liverfool owner should think twice before making such a crass and totally un-necessary comment. It may go down well with the Dipper fans, but it will come back to haunt him. The best scenario is that they end up selling Suarez to us late in the season, but Arsenal offer them a reduced fee.

  24. tsgh says:

I’m with you there Brad… I look the way a lot of fans slate stats when it is used against an unpopular player but say a player like Hig’s stats speaks for himself.

  25. rico says:

It’s frustrating Lsg, but something has to happen soon…

I’d rather Rooney to be honest, but I won’t complain if it’s Suarez….

  26. tsgh says:

Rico, a player will never put in a transfer request unless the buying club will cover his 5% or 10% commission he will get if the club decided to sell.

That makes it £2m to £4m for Suarez in this instance… that is the reason AFc can’t compete sometimes but fans fail to factor that either…

  27. Breezy says:

@ LSG, RVP was a problem child before coming to us as well and he cleaned up pretty good under AW. Obviously his cuntishness returned when he went to Manu but the player we signed would not have developed and fetched the 24m we received. Now that is no guarantee that Saurez will change but AW does have a good track record with problem players.

As for him leaving after 2/3 seasons so be it, we know what we’re getting so as fans we won’t be as emotionally attached to him as RVP or Cesc. As long as goes for more then we paid and he has given good service during his time, I’ll take that.

  28. Adam says:

CG. I intend to change quite often. 🙂
The red trousers were a passing fad. 🙂
    Kev’s got them now.

  29. Mayor of the Woolwich says:

I hardly speculate on the activities of the squad, but, this keeps striking me.

As a premier league team, vying for the BPL title, exactly how many first team senior players do we have, not counting the kids?

Right about now, a number of the squad are out with injuries, and we know how funny these things about injuries can pan out 2weeks–>2months,, etc…

I think we need to get in more players for us to be real contenders, else, it’ll end up the same way after the season is over.

If /when Suaréz comes in, it’d be a solid addition, plus, I suspect Arsene won’t add any CMF to the squad…

    Whatever happens though, Arsene Knows.

  30. W.A.T.H says:

MotW, Arsene knows or Arsene knew….?

Where is Scott is he at the Livpoo gave with his Arsenal shirt and Suarez on the back..?

  31. rico says:

I knew there was something to do with losing money when handing in a transfer request Ts, but there comes a point where a player, if, is as desperate to move as he makes out, needs to cut a few losses. It’s not like they are hard up…..

  32. Canadian Gooner says:

Rico – I’m not so sure it’s Suarez UnReal are after. With the Higuain fee and those of the other players they have sold, they have enough money to bid for Bale. I think Liverfool are trying to spin out the Suarez situation hoping that UnReal will make a bid for Suarez, but a number of sources have stated that URM aren’t willing to pay more than £25 million for him.

We will just have to wait and see. Apparently ROdgers and the Dippers chairman are to have another meeting with Suarez after the Australian game.

  33. Canadian Gooner says:

Ginge – Sorry I scared you away on Monday. You’ll have to let me know how I did that.

  34. Alhaji bah says:

I think £45 will sign suarez and the remaining money will be used to sign gustavo, Bernard, abate. If roma really want gervinho they should do a swap deal with any defensive player

  35. rico says:

Thanks Cg, fingers crossed he tells Rogers that he will never play for the dippers again… And he only wants to join us 😉

    Morning Rocky…

  36. rockyrocastle07 says:

Liking the look of this Zelalem character. Finally, some of our “promising” youngsters are making their mark.

  37. Scott from Oz says:

Haha Wath, i could not watch those arseholes play, let alone pay for the “pleasure”.
Rico, RM don’t want Suarez, the want Bale, i reckon.
    Morning everyone.

  38. GhanaGooner says:

Coming from Ghana, I hate Suarez, but I wish he played for us.

He clearly has issues, and goes into a frenzy before he gets on the pitch, but nobody can argue against his effectiveness, and its that steel that we need right now.

For the hall of fame, you are missing Idris Elba (plays Luther & Stringer Bell in the wire)

  39. W.A.T.H says:

Didn’t they pay 20mil for him Adam, Sold for 11… Biggest cock up has 2b Carroll though, buy for 35 sell for 15… piss funny and as already stated, 20 on Downing and Henderson is mind boggling as well

  40. Canadian Gooner says:

W.A.T.H – I wasn’t calling Adam a curly haired woofer. I was referring to his change in gravatar. Adam is, of course, a gentleman of letters, taste and distinction. He will tell you so himself.

  41. rockyrocastle07 says:

Hi Scott. Agreed. Real just want the latest big new thing, They act like a petulant child during transfer windows. How many years were they giving us shit over Vieira?

  42. Canadian Gooner says:

Rocky – Good Morning. You have to be careful about letting work take over your life. It can become habit. All work and no play makes Rocky a dull and tired boy.

  43. W.A.T.H says:

Scott have you been quiet due to a certain Higuain…?

I will say nothing else on the subject…! Surely a tkt with your Arsenal shirt and Suarez on the back would have been a great wind-up…!

  44. emma says:

rico – not sure madrid are in for Suarez otherwise they would have made a bid. Their no1 target is Bale and he is not included in their friendly v sunderland played about now.
Tsgh – Quite agree with you on Higuain. Good finisher though but hardly turns up in big games. A look at his stats v Barca and champions league games proves that

  45. W.A.T.H says:

Ts, I’ll refrain from responding to Adam’s fashion sense and where he chooses to strut his stuff…!

  46. rockyrocastle07 says:

Hi CG – Tell me about it! I’ve become the dullest man in existence. It’s ok though…. I look forward to my 5 hours of sleep a day!

  47. rockyrocastle07 says:

Alhaji bah – If Roma want Gervinho, they can do a swap deal for £5m. Rather have the money than a cast-off.

  48. Adam says:

Real Madrid remind me of Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard with their faded glory and reluctance to see the world for what it is.
Their country is completely fcuked yet here they are, bigging it up, blagging money from everywhere, making agreements that they later renage on and generally acting like a bunch of over entitled cretins. While, in the shadow of their great stadium, people are eating in soup kitchens and the youth of Madrid might never know what it’s like to have a job.
Mind you, I hope they take Bale.

  49. rockyrocastle07 says:

The last thing we need is another bum to warm pine each week and picking up £50k a week.

  50. Canadian Gooner says:

Rocky – Sometimes you have to put in the hours at work, I’ve been there done and that. Just don’t lose sight of the better things in life. You can get stuck in that corporate rut and life passes you by. Stop to smell the roses now and again.

  51. legend says:

Suarez with all his faults is a great player and I believe Arsene Wenger is the right man to manage him.
I’ve seen what bernard can do and I’ll tell you a Suarez,Bernard and Zelalem partnership would be great since Bernard thrive on space and killer throughballs that’s where he can work his magic and Suarez is a mad finisher and with Giroud as a target man Arsenal will be serious contenders for the Premier League title.

  52. Scott from Oz says:

Wath, i maintain the Higuain deal was done and dusted, but i forgot who we were dealing with 🙂
Still, a Suarez or Rooney coming in will count as a win.

  53. Adam says:

CG. Well said. I have lived my life by this credo to the extent that I have never actually had a job, just a series of pastimes. It is also why I live in a cave. 🙂

  54. Canadian Gooner says:

Adam – Great movie, I was just watching it the other week. Good comparison with UnReal. Is Carlo going to play the Erich von Stroheim role and in a few years Ronaldo can play Norma Desmond.

  55. Adam says:

Wath. You are right. As I understood it and we have spoken privately about, the fee was agreed and hands were shook. Higuain also agreed terms but then RM had second ideas. Their prerogative, but what goes around has a habit of coming back and biting you in the arse.

  56. rockyrocastle07 says:

I know CG – It’s especially fun when you’ve been up since 5am, get home at 8pm then your wife wants you to construct a new water feature that has just been delivered, with the worst, least informative bastard set of instructions in the world. Last night was a rage night for me! I had to shut the balcony door so she couldn’t hear me muttering about her!

  57. Canadian Gooner says:

Adam – You always entertain; but at times, I have difficulty seperating your facts and fictions. I’m sure Mrs. Adam (no. 5 ?) does not live in a cave.

  58. Canadian Gooner says:

    Adam – Regards your 11:19;

That is my understanding of the Higuain situation. A gentleman’s agreement (no written offer) was struck, Arsenal was given permission to speak with the player and Arsenal agreed terms with Higuain. UnReal gets wind Napoli, flush with cash from the sale of Cavani, were interested in Higuain and UnREal showed they are not gentleman and reneged on the agreement. UnReal once again show their absolute lack of class.

    Regards your 11:20;

We will have to make a note of that and see if Cristiano sticks to the script when the time comes.

  59. SD UK says:

Real Madrid need a striker so if they sell Higuain , they will surely bid £50M for Suarez so that is why Arsenal is moving fast.

Higuain lost his chance of playing in PL, he will end up in Italy and will only score 1 goal in 4 games because the style of play in Italy is to frustrate all attacks at all cost.

I think by this evening, Suarez will be flying down to UK due to mysterious injury 🙂

Liverpool as had their chance and they blew it, just as we blew our chance by not adding quality players on time when RVP was still playing for us.

If we had bought Podoslki and Giruid a season before RVP left, he might have stayed but we depended on Chamarckalaka instead

Suarez was playing his best for them but no one to support him.

Liverpool’s glory days are gone and Rogers is not the man to get them back up – he is simply not known.

HERE comes the GOONER’s time I suspect even Jose morinho is scared 😀

  60. Canadian Gooner says:

Rocky – As for closing the door so the wife wont hear you, been there done that too, more times than I can or wish to remember.

  61. Adam says:

I imagine Cod ‘n Chips Keswick thought that it wasn’t cricket at all and moved to have them black balled.

  62. potter says:

The way we played against Grampus with Giroud and Podolski dropping deeper and feeding pace on our flanks., I would not be surprised if neither Suarez or Higuain arrive. I can see a winger ( Bernard ) supplying crosses for the two aforementioned’s late runs into the box , with a sitting midfielder and a centre back. I expect the announcement to come just prior to the Emirates cup to boost ticket sales .

  63. Bradster says:

So I thought Rafa would take Torres, Reina and Skertel to Napoli. But turns out to be Higuain as him and Reina are due for medicals today at Napoli.

  64. rockyrocastle07 says:

CG – Tell me about it mate! Far easier to shut the door and mutter. Although I treated my neighbours to shouts of “CU*T” on numerous occasions when the thing wouldn’t work properly…..

  65. rockyrocastle07 says:

Hi C Hills. That’s the tragedy. We have far too many players just happy to sit in the stands with their mates and watch, picking up their over inflated wages that for some reason Wenger et al have deemed them worthy of

  66. W.A.T.H says:

Suarez to be unveiled before Emirates cup Potter… I think you could be right.

Adam, Perez was the problem, always has been a two faced runt and always will be BUT Scott did get it right, it was a done deal just not to us…!

Now lets laugh at RM play dirty tricks trying to get monkey boy bale.

  67. W.A.T.H says:

Rocky… WTF is wrong with you that you can’t put together a piddly little water fountain…..!

  68. W.A.T.H says:

If we had offered that amoutn KT the dippers would sulk from now til they next win the lge which could be 2189…!

  69. rico says:

Souness has just said that if Suarez goes to Arsenal he has used Liverpool as a stepping stone 🙂 🙂

    There’s an admission, hello all….

  70. Canadian Gooner says:

Former Tottenham winger David Ginola believes Luis Suarez’s proposed move to Arsenal would suit all parties.

Arsenal are desperate to land the controversial Uruguayan, but Liverpool are standing firm having rejected the Gunners’ recent £40million offer.

Ginola believes it is the right time for Suarez and Liverpool to part ways, however, and he insists his old rivals Arsenal would be the perfect club for the 26-year-old.

“It would be a good solution for him,” Ginola said on Talk Sport. “We know what happened with him at Liverpool.

“He’s a very good, very talented player, one of the best in the Premier League. Playing for Arsenal would be a solution for him.

“It’s a chance for Arsene Wenger to get a great striker, and for Suarez to get a fresh start. So it could be a solution for all parties.”

  71. rockyrocastle07 says:

Piss off wath!! Seriously, the instructions were wank. no help whatsoever. I’m not a fan of combining water with electricity, so was trying to grasp why a power connection to the pump would be submersible….. Still not sure I’m happy with it! Plus the pump flow guage had no markings on….plus I was fucking knackered!

  72. rico says:

    How good is Soldado??

If he’s that good, why don’t we just go and get him for a whole lot less than the price of Suarez?

  73. ktr7 says:

🙂 wath.what fascinates me in this whole saga is how the pool fans have reacted towards us in this saga.its clear as day that there must be something in the contract to make us add £1 to our bid.also suarez clearly wants out and he is willing to join us for us to pursue the matter.Suarez must feel very valued by AW at this point since despite his shortcomings we are willing to treble our transfer record for him.i believe thats why he has stopped moaning about the English press and talk has shifted towards CL footy.

  74. C Hills says:

    Paid fans heh, Rocky.

I think he went to lfc under the assumption that they would improve, rico. We all know they’re constant mid table mediocrity. Afternoon, btw.

  75. rico says:

My comment was more about what that ‘orrible git Souness said Ch… He always likes to mention about us being a selling club…

  76. rockyrocastle07 says:

We were after him in the last window apparently Rico… I remember trying to remember his name while out with Lee, Kev and Adam, after I’d read it somewhere that day.

  77. W.A.T.H says:

Rocky, I suppose your not the one to ask to come round and help out with my fish pond then….?

    Can’t get the staff….!

KT, the pound obviously is the significant part, Arsenal must of been made aware of the significance and I am sure we’re seeing the start of the saga that will no doubt have a few twists n turns…! The dippers gonna be pissed off because all of a sudden they have to realise they cannot hold onto their best player and they not loosing him to the Oligarch but to us…. Big kick in the ego/balls….!

  78. rockyrocastle07 says:

Think so Rico. Can’t exactly remember when it was we spoke about it….

Wath – Ponds I’m fine with as there’s generally no live cables in there with the fish….. But water fountains? Forget it!

  79. SD UK says:

Suarez will suit all parties true that.

Arsenal will be the perfect fit and Wenger can tame him a little bit.

He wouldn’t have to hire a cargo plane to move his stuffs to London he will just use a Truck.

His wife can shop in Harrods

He will be the main striker and he will get loads and loads of assists
    and he will score.

Summary of Liverpool’s situation = They shouldn’t have sacked Benitez.

Come on Arsenal , add £1m to the first offer.

  80. rico says:

You don’t think he’s any good either then emma..

Not surprised Ricky, you have slept since then lol

Ch, we have brought a lot of that on ourselves though by constantly selling our better players…

  81. ktr7 says:

i just love how angry their fans are towards.us wath.i want us to be hated again.for us to.leave higuain for suarez shows how confident we are in getting suarez.am sure Pere.Guardiola who is suarez’ agent is guiding us and i’ve seen he was the one who suggested the bid.he knows the contract clause and its significance.he is also the one who drew up the clause in thiago alcantara’s contract based on % of games which barca failed to meet and he left.am sure he also knows what he is doing on this one.

  82. ktr7 says:

Suarez doesn’t need a transfer request to leave.all he needs to do in one training session is to dribble past the defence and the gk,leave the ball on the line, run towards rodgers and bite him 😉 thats more effective 🙂

  83. tsgh says:

Hi Wath, what have I done to you now?lol

Don Mannone looks very good.should we have released flappy instead?

Capoue and Benard next once Luis Hannibal is captured…:P

I am hearing Malaga gooner predicted this all along after big had the longest medical in history.lol

    Mannone superb..swampies are shite.

  84. Canadian Gooner says:

ktr7 – I think you may well be right. We just have to be patient. A lot will hinge on the outcome of Suarez’s meeting with Rodgers and Ayre today. If Suarez makes it plain he still wants to go, Liverfool have a very difficult decision to make. Their recent posturings (see their owners tweet) aren’t going to make it any easier.

  85. ktr7 says:

CG patience will certainly play a part.there is always the feeling of us getting shafted by a club like madrid but so far i doubt they are keen to get him.they seem to be fixated on Bale at the moment and thats why id like us to wrap this up asap.

  86. allezkev says:

    Afternoon Gooners/Doomers/AKB’s/Mick…

Afternoon Rico, interesting post, as always…

Adam, nobody can fashion a smoking jacket, cravat and play slide guitar, quite like you mate.
    Even in a cave… 😉

Rocky, ‘anger management’ does it for me mate.

God, I am stuck in the mother of all traffic jams.
    And I’m empty. Fecking disastrous….

  87. emma says:

Suarez never looked like someone who wants to pull on that LFC shirt when he came on. Moment of brilliance setting up the second goal

  88. C Hills says:

I don’t rico, before the new commercial deals player trading profits covered a bit for us. I don’t like accounting in any bit, I just sometimes read the swiss ramble.

  89. C Hills says:

Hi Kev, it seems Mick is different from us gooners and, is neither a doomer or an akb. What is he?

  90. ktr7 says:

By the look of things suarez doesn’t want to be there.even pool fans agree.we as arsenal.fans know what it looks like and its time.pool accepted it.its a WC year and he at pool.will not enjoy any european footy.i expect him to hand in a transfer request in order to accelerate his departure.

  91. tsgh says:

The yanks at Liverpool are dumber than I thought they were.

They put in that £40M clause after Suarez had a mediocre season the one before last thinking that would be enough to make a bit of profit if he was still mediocre. Thankful for them he kept them in top 10 position last season but they are now thinking the amount is not high enough… well tough… they shot themselves in the foot.

  92. W.A.T.H says:

Am with you KT, I love being hated it shows we worry people/teams…! When we are liked it means we not a threat…!

  93. tsgh says:

hig now undertaking a medical in Naples.

1 to Me 0 to Malaga gooner. As I said from day one Hig would end up at Naples and Ibrahimovic will replace him…

Suarez is ours if Luiz pushes now. Even Sounnes thinks £40M is good value for Suarez.

  94. emma says:

tsgh – I am pretty sure that is his release clause. Pere Guadiola was urging last week that £40m+ and he is offski

  95. allezkev says:

I’m out of it now Adam…

    It’s called The Knowledge 😉

Ok now Rico, thank you boss 🙂

CH, Mick is Mick, the one and only…

  96. Canadian Gooner says:

Kev – Time to start chanting your favourite mantra and contemplate the wonders of the universe until the traffic clears. Maybe you can pick up some of what they’re smoking over at the Emirates. It seems to have put a twist in the knickers of the Dippers owner.

  97. W.A.T.H says:

Emma, think your right, Pere is no muppet they will know exactly what that clause states and thats exactly why Arsenal knew what to offer…!

  98. tsgh says:

Holla Ch, its all falling in place.

Cg, what scared me off was … wait I am trying to make one up.. lol

  99. C Hills says:

How many clubs not bankrolled by money from black gold can pay £40 million for a single player?:/

  100. ktr7 says:

SD when it comes to madrid it doesn’t really matter.they just like signing the big names and the coach has to figure out how to fit them in.

  101. Canadian Gooner says:

ktr7 – Suarez’s agent said he wouldn’t hand in a written transfer request. However, with Rodgers, Ayre, et al being such a bunch of Richard craniums that might change.

  102. tsgh says:

    From the dippers own site:

    24 Jul 2013 13:20:34
Suarez body language = quite clearly doesn’t want to be there. Ok then it’s simple, hand in a TRANSFER REQUEST and we will then wait for a SUITABLE offer, then you can go.

    Kev79

    24 Jul 2013 12:56:15
Just get rid of Suarez now the spoilt little brat. He strolls onto the pitch without a care in the world and doesn’t even try to put in a performance when all the fans there are cheering him on. It is clear her wants out so get rid now. It happened with Torres, when he wanted out and it showed transparently in his body language so just get rid now!

    Neilp

    24 Jul 2013 12:41:26
Suarez if an FN embarrassment – don’t care what Arsenal are smoking just get shut of him
    RIP96

    —————————————

At least Judas was begged AW to play him against Cologne so he can wear the jersey for the last time. 😛

  103. W.A.T.H says:

It’s been a long time in coming AK…..! Fellaini next or are we sitting and just watching the Cesc scenario play out a little more…? Still think we need a physical player in midfield and not Cesc BUT Cesc for 25mil when Arteta prob has one good year left is a no brained..!

  104. ktr7 says:

It seems Bernard is going to replace AA/Gerv which is pretty good if he can adapt well.he is a very talented player no doubt.

Also apparently the reason why we are not making signings in central midfield is because AW is monitoring the cesc sitiuation very keenly and he wants to have funds available if barca decide to let him leave.

  105. C Hills says:

Would love to meet Mick, Kev.

Ts, finances? Yea and, a bloody good thing at this time when transfers are either too low or too high.

  106. tsgh says:

Cg, I suspect Suarez would never hand in a transfer request by referring to his respect for the manager and club but we all know he won’t because of the money… this could still turn nasty.

I think what will happen is a protracted to and fro-ing by his agent between us and the dippers trying to negotiate how much signing on fee and cut of the buying price Luiz will get…

  107. SD UK says:

Never thought Arsenal will ever bid £30m for a player but instead we are bidding £40m plus.

Funny how times change and Manure Utd can’t even buy players.

Who wants to play for Moyes (No offence Mr Moyes)

I bet RVP is thinking damn Fergie didn’t tell me he was going to retire.

Suarez £40m plus Bernand £21m = £70m and Wenger is done buying.

  108. ktr7 says:

AK it seems.so unreal 🙂 we have no sulking players at the club and our preparations are going very well.it was mental torture refreshing newsnow over the past couple of years seeing our best players getting linked away.we now have cash to burn and its about time we threw our weight around.

  109. tsgh says:

Manuel is playing the most boring football ever.

The $hitty boys are undermining Pellegrini I suspect.

They lost both games in South Africa…

  110. tsgh says:

AW is truly be a genius! who ever came up with the idea of £40M + £1 is a poker player for sure… 😀

  111. tsgh says:

Dzeko looks very cheesed off not much effort going into the game… Maybe its due to the state of the pitch 😉

  112. ktr7 says:

ts that £1 is the only reason i believe we bid and it isn’t just a rumour.it has AW written all over it.i think £40 mil +add ons will do.

  113. tsgh says:

I suspect so too Cg… hopeful we can wrap 2 signings up.

I still strongly believe no signing will just walk into the starting 11 straight away. not ven MF can come in and replace TR07 in the CAM or Ramsey in the DM role…

  114. ktr7 says:

It also seems to me that madrid are willing to give young spaniards a chance.they have heavily invested in isco/carvajal/illaramendi and they seem willing to give jese/morata a chance up front and thats why they are not out on loan.they want to develop a strond spanish core and thats another reason why i doubt they would be willing to invest so heavily on suarez.

  115. SD UK says:

To think that we could buy Suarez for £40 m without Kroenke’s money , Abrahamovic must be thinking why didn’t i buy Arsenal.

Then there is the Puma money coming next year.

Kroenke must be in heaven and taking a poke at his American counterpart in Liverpool telling him this is how to invest in a club.

Man Utd must be envious right now, I suspect the only reason they are giving Rooney a hard time is because they can no longer afford his salary.

Wenger , add Fellani please because if we should buy Suarez others will follow.

Football is changing once again, even Barcelona is in the red.

  116. tsgh says:

Kt, Unreaal also need at least £20M to renew Ronaldo’s contract… he wants £400k a week minimum.

  117. tsgh says:

Sd_Uk re 2:13;all due to AW resolve and his vision… and he is not even a 10th generation gooner 😉

  118. tsgh says:

SD, man u very recently signed a new sponsorship deal with True telecoms…. they have the money I think but the owner is an investor and also Moyes can’t attract flies with a bowl of turd…

  119. C Hills says:

Ktr7, they want to see more of their players in the spanish national team.

Ts, anybody who crosses emperor Arse ne will be dealt with.

  120. tsgh says:

The spanish dominance at league or national team level is over.

every country goes through a 4-6 year cycle dominating. Credit to Spain they have dominated football for close to 8 years…

  121. tsgh says:

Rico, i provided you with a link to find players salaries recently… 🙂

He is on close to £330k per week.

  122. tsgh says:

    Messi salary including royalties…

Lionel Messi – Footballer FC Barcelona – Born: 1987 Argentina

    Annual: GBP 26,686,154.00
    Monthly: GBP 2,223,846.00
    Weekly: GBP 533,723.00
    Daily: GBP 106,745.00

  123. ktr7 says:

Madrid are.developing their very own equivalent to our British core.which is why bar cesc i don’t think wenger would buy anyone that would interfere with his grooming of jack/ox in the AM role.

  124. tsgh says:

Emmanuel Adebayor – Footballer Tottenham Hotspur – Born: 1984 Togo

    Annual: GBP 10,790,769.00
    Monthly: GBP 899,231.00

  125. tsgh says:

    Suarez is on 70k

Luis Alberto Suárez – Footballer FC Liverpool – Born: 1987, Urugay – Married – Children: 1

    Annual: GBP 3,528,000.00
    Monthly: GBP 294,000.00
    Weekly: GBP 70,560.00
    Daily: GBP 14,112.00

  126. Bradster says:

I see Ox taking up a number 10 role and Jack a TR07 role.
Jack doesn’t seem to me to have the knack for playing the second striker unless he develops the correct positioning, control and finishing.

  127. Canadian Gooner says:

What a difference a day makes. The smog of doom and despair is replaced with the smoke of a medicinal herb wafting into the House from Ashburton Grove. Things are looking up.

Well I have business to take care of today, so I’m of to bed. Have a great day fellow Gooners.

    Keep the Faith!

  128. ktr7 says:

even ramsey for cm role too.

you bet they are c hills.they must be pissed of hearing people say spain is barca minus messi.they feel the success of the spanish national team is mainly attributed to barca.also having many players in the national team is advantageous.not so long ago when England flopped in a match or tournament AW would always get blamed but nowadays the media has cooled off.

  129. C Hills says:

This is the first healthy manifestation of the barca/madrid rivalry imo, Ts. It might also turn out to be unhealthy though.

  130. C Hills says:

    Nightie, CG.

Its you I don’t believe, rico. That’s why I keep coming back to see you spou…err, report more lies.

  131. Adam says:

Rico. I thought at first that Harry G was a 70’s porn star but I just looked him up and I believe you may be right. Makes Moyes’ Botox regime look a little crude in comparison.

  132. rico says:

🙂 Adam. I always remember his name because he was once married to Victoria Principle and I was a huge fan of Dallas.

    Patrick Duffy in particular….

Ts – why on earth would Hooper want to go there I wonder…

  133. tsgh says:

rico, Emma that is a peculiar one! I thought his level will be Av or Norwich but I guess, he thinks it will be easier to leave QPR than AV in 2 years time if it goes well for him down near… 😉

  134. ktr7 says:

does ts have the vision to play AM?…because he has all other attributes required to play there.

  135. tsgh says:

I don’t know about vision but he has the drive to play there… he just seems to like passing the ball across midfield carelessly which is something he has to work on I suppose…

  136. joaquim Moreira says:

    Afternoon all!
How is our interest in Fellainnni?
He can be replace by Guilavoogui (St. ettiene) …
    Soldado – totts? probably…

  137. ktr7 says:

I like his directness there ts which is a big plus since he can go past players.easily there.he also has trickery in abundance and a.cannon of a shot but his vision am not entirely convinced about.guess over the next few games i’ll zoom in on him to watch him and also.his spatial awareness.AW seems to fancy him there and if bernard comes he may be off wing duty permanently.

  138. tsgh says:

There goes the likelihood of buying a defender… AW says kos has a 30% chance in playing on friday… 😮

  139. tsgh says:

kt, unfortunately Ox sees himself as a Xavi, alonso or a Pirlo… his 3 idols he said.

He likes to sit when playing in CM. when he came on for MA08 on match day 38 at Wonga stadium Ramsey stayed in the box-to-box role initially until Aw changed it again when we scored the winning goal around the 50th minute mark.

If you cast your mind back 2 years ago when Song was still with us… against AC Milan Ox sat deeper and song did the box to box role.

The media being biased as Ox is English, they stated that Ox was more tactically aware than Song. No consideration was taken on the likelihood of AW instructing Song to play the way the likes of Capoue, Vidal and Martinez all play as DM in a double pivot midfield.

  140. tsgh says:

Kt, Brad you are right about our creativity issues… Ox, AR16, JW10,MA08 and Abu provided only 9 assists in total the whole of last season… its shocking to say the least.

  141. rico says:

    Sack them all Ts 😉

Diaby needs to work on his throw ins, maybe he could get an assist from one from the sick bay if he could throw a lot further….

How many assists for my boy??

  142. tsgh says:

😀 Rico… that is mean; is that including young JW.

I guess you have a point with Diaby… if his legs are not good then his arms can be useful as Stoke’s Delaps…

  143. tsgh says:

You can’t get me there rico, i told you a few weeks back that Theo had more assists than Reus and Navas… 😛

    Enjoy…

  144. AndyT says:

I feel gutted looking at the pictures of Higuain arriving in Italy. I think he would have done extremely well at our place. If we fail with this Suarez bid I will be sick!

  145. rico says:

    24 Jul 2013 10:21:53
a german friend who told me originally about lars bender interest has told me we have made a 21.5 million bid.
there has been no reply from his club.

    malaga gooner

    😆 😆

  146. ktr7 says:

Ts i agree with you but so far in preseason wenger seems to fancy him higher up and rightly so.his attributes are better utilized as a 2nd striker.he is too explosive to play CM imo.its going to be between him/jack/rosicky for that no.10 role unless we buy back cesc.so far rosicky seems favorite to start for us there but ox is already ahead of jack for the trequartista role although i do fancy jack in full.form to get the nod.

For CM i believe ramsey is going to be 1st choice next season.wenger isn’t going to buy anyone that will.change that.arteta is more likelier to get sacrificed.

  147. AndyT says:

I know Rico, and to be fair will not care less if we are successful with the Suarez signing, although I am not confident.
Let’s hope RM come looking to us for a signing soon to allow us to fuck them around in a similar manner! Come on Suarez you Freddie Mercury lookalike, sign on! Follow that up with Fellaini and Micah Richards and i’ll be dancing round the room

  148. ktr7 says:

I see alot of schweinsteiger in Ramsey and i think he’ll have a monster year for us.also he seems to have more trickery in his game than the likes of jack/sicky who have tighter ball control and acceleration.

Ox looks like he could be a kaka type AM but i have doubts of how good his vision is.

  149. tsgh says:

    Respect his elders?… he is on 50k plus a week… 😀

    I agree rico btw…

Kt, I suspect MA08 still has this season as an automatic starter even though his preseason form has been desperate. He was like that last summer in Malaysia and Hong Kong but I attributed that to him reverting back to DM or deep playing player maker…

Most importantly, MA08 is literally the skipper so i do not see him being replaced yet in the first 10 games at least. And his stats are only second to Carrick. 😉

I think if Diaby comes back well then he will rotate with MA08. On the other hand AW trusted Ramsey to play the DM role against the dippers last season at the Erms. I can see that carrying on for much more. Note Aw trusted Ramsey as the DM when £25m and 3 points were at stake at NUFC…

What I see Aw doing if Bernard rumours are true is to use Aneke more in the CM role because of his power and height. i think he is ready as a CM. Aneke won’t mind having 10 games next season as a debutant. The moment AW played him in the CB position I got worried Aw had him marked for the CM or one of the pivot roles. AW also has a lot of trust in Frimps… at least he use to. Udinese, Liverpool 2 seasons ago.

kt, I think you forget to mention Gedion rotating with the likes of TR07 in the no.10 role when team pack the bus… he has that pass that will split even fat sam’s double bank of 4 lines open 😉

  150. rico says:

I didn’t realise Chucks is 20 years old. Maybe I need to retract my thoughts of us signing a DM or a CH….

  151. tsgh says:

andyT, Richards says he won’t leave $hitty this summer…

folks, Aw promised bellerin he will be playing with the first team in 2 years… that was the reason he joined us in the first place… Barca were desperate to keep him.

That 2 years ended last season… he is going to be the understudy to CJ25… Yennaris too is around. So in short with Kos 305 fit we will not be buying a CB or RB unless a left footed CB or DM comes around who can cover lb too…

  152. emma says:

Liverpool given Suarez permission to speak to us. Finally they are gradually caving in source BBC

  153. tsgh says:

Emma, i said porto too a few days back… very interesting is that confirmed?

I suspect he has to stay in Portugal to qualify for an EU passport… 😉

rico, Aneke played better than Powell performed at crewe last season. He is a gooner too… Pep andbarca wanted him when he was 16 y.o

  154. tsgh says:

    😀 😛 rico i nearly missed your 4:07.

    My day keeps getting better.

So Mg still has contacts in sunny Malaga?

  155. tsgh says:

Comments in reply to Mg’s post 😀 😀 lmfao
Malaga – nothing personal, but you’re such an person

The amount of guaranteed predictons you have me and none ever happen. Please stop embarrassing yourself with these comments that have no basis

Malaga gooner will never stop embarrassing himself, it seems.

  156. ktr7 says:

its on BBC rico.pool are holding firm at £50 mil+ in their valuation.this is.where Dick law and Pere Guardiola have to earn their corn.

Ts i am concerned by arteta’s mobility against top.sides where he was basically a passenger.having ramsey in that role in the long term is the way forward with a box to box player with more physical presence the way forward imo.kind of how scweni/martinez or ox/song or jack/song permutations

  157. ktr7 says:

I don’t think zelalem will play much ts bar the odd CC/FA Cup against the minnows.he needs one more season at least with the youths.

  158. tsgh says:

I’m with you but MA08 has experience that maybe Ramsey does not quite have yet. i guess it depends on who we are playing and the balance of the team…

At the moment MA08 is the captain unofficially… he has 2 more years to go on his contract… after this season and hopeful with us doing a double, Mikel will understand being a bit part player…

The BFG is the vice unofficially; I can see Sagna and Kos being our main CB pairing in crucial games now. Note kos is suspended for our 2 CL matches…

Ramsey and Diaby will work wonders… i would like to see frimps and ramsey commanding the midfield too.

maybe on friday Aw will play Aneke and Ramsey together in the first half as Ox is still injured…

    fingers crossed buddy…

  159. emma says:

tsgh – Not confirmed yet but its’ looking likely he is off to Porto. We will know more after tonights Copa finals

  160. Adam says:

Rocky. Shall I not tell you my honest thoughts about Luther? 🙂
I have been asked to review it for an American online publication.

  161. rico says:

Interesting then re Suarez, go Dicky boy!

Adam, you obviously haven’t watched Luther 😉

Oh, and I think Ramsey looks a lot better in pre-season than he has ever looked… I know the oppo haven’t been the strongest but…

  162. rico says:

You watched it too Rocky, I loved it. Gutted to read that last nights might be the last ever….

  163. Adam says:

Rico. I have now watched all of this series and I must say that Crossroads was more interesting and more real.

  164. tsgh says:

ok… just clarifying I was kidding about Diaby and AR16… lol

c’mon it is getting boring waiting for ‘arry to roll down his windows in his range rover…

The only thing you can trust Abu with is leaving him in charge of WATH’s GG for 5 days… as the boy leads a ‘clean’ life.

Maybe humans are like semiconductors… we need to be doped with impurities in order to function purposely. lol

  165. rockyrocastle07 says:

Adam – I feel you will jeapordise our friendship if a bad word is uttered against him!

  166. tsgh says:

🙂 of course Rico… that is why I am worried…

you paying compliments to anyone bar walnut and Santi gets me worried…

  167. Adam says:

Before your time young Rico. Crossroads was a gritty docudrama about life in a Midlands motel. It was directed by an embryonic Quentin Tarrantino and had a high body count as it was centred on a serial killer called Benny and his killer twin Miss Diane.

  168. rockyrocastle07 says:

Not seen last nights yet Rico. Still gutted Justin karked it last week. I know what happens in last nights thouh…. So glad Alice made an appearance again!

  169. rockyrocastle07 says:

Benny and his killer tea cosy he used to wear… walls that wobbled when people walked past them or a door closed… As shambolic as Prisoner Cell Block H!

  170. Adam says:

Rocky. I will tread carefully then as I now see quite clearly the parallel Universe that I currently inhabit.

  171. C Hills says:

Depends on the doping agent. Arsenic oxide will lead to more holes. (I don’t have a single clue what that means).

  172. tsgh says:

It means you know your electronics and transistors and bias point. 🙂

I prefer positive charged Si and Ge bases, so boron or gallium is the dopant of choice for me…

  173. rico says:

Ditto re Justin Rocky, I couldn’t believe it. I struggled, but managed to hold back the tears…

Last nights was good, you will enjoy it… Don’t let a grumpy toad put you off 😉

  174. rico says:

Crossroads was good in it’s day, even with all the wobbly walls…. David Hunter was a bit of a charmer though..

Cellblock H, now that was shocking….

  175. C Hills says:

Yikes! I should know better than to take on an electronics scientist. It was part of my study for just 2 yrs, Ts.

  176. rockyrocastle07 says:

Why didn’t the guy shoot Justin in the leg or something if he HAD to shoot him? Killing him went against everything he was preaching.

  177. tsgh says:

cool Ch… I am not really an electronic engineer/scientist… 😉

My specialty is Electromagnetic Compatibility and TEMPEST…. but I guess the same family or discipline…

  178. rockyrocastle07 says:

Night chills. Just sat down to dinner at my desk! Still got about an hour of work left.

  179. rockyrocastle07 says:

My wife would scratch your eyes right out for daring to sully the good name of John Luther….

  180. Adam says:

TS. It’s a shame you are so far removed. I would be interested in talking about such things but you would probably have to kill me afterwards.
Troy Tempest was a dude Rocky. 🙂

  181. tsgh says:

I wish it was as fun as that Rocky. 😉

Tempest (often spelled TEMPEST) is a codename referring to investigations and studies of compromising emanations. Compromising emanations are defined as unintentional intelligence-bearing signals which, if intercepted and analyzed, may disclose the information transmitted, received, handled, or otherwise processed by any information-processing equipment.

Compromising emanations consist of electrical, mechanical, or acoustical energy intentionally or by mishap unintentionally emitted by any number of sources within equipment/systems which process national security information. This energy may relate to the original pre- or non-encrypted message, or information being processed, in such a way that it can lead to recovery of the plaintext. Laboratory and field tests have established that such CE can be propagated through space and along nearby conductors. The interception/propagation ranges and analysis of such emanations are affected by a variety of factors, e.g., the functional design of the information processing equipment; system/equipment installation; and, environmental conditions related to physical security and ambient noise. The term “compromising emanations” rather than “radiation” is used because the compromising signals can, and do, exist in several forms such as magnetic- and/or electric field radiation, line conduction, or acoustic emissions.

Its boring mate… but it pays the bills…

    Hi WATH… howdy?

  182. tsgh says:

£45M will clinch it imo… they will settle on £43 plus add-ons if we qualify for CL which is a given and a trophy…

  183. Adam says:

In fact in Troy I believe we see the proto-Luther as per the acting. But even Troy couldn’t walk about after a bullet wound to the Femeral artery like Stringer Bell and he found bounding up stairs difficult at the best of times. To Luther, a 38 slug embedded in the knee was nothing more than a slight irritation. No doubt he got his weirdly mouthed girlfriend in the Jensen FF to suck it out later.
There I go again. Sorry Rocky. I accept any punishment you and Rico see fit to impose. Like watching back to back series of Colombo for instance.

  184. W.A.T.H says:

Hey Ts, I was nearly nodding off by the time I finished that Tempest thing and all along I thought they did hire cars….!

  185. Adam says:

Rico. That is what my 4th wife said in court.
“Adam Adamant you are harsh and cruel and you have made unnatural demands of me”. Needless to say, the Judge took her side.

  186. Adam says:

TS. Is that like listening to conversations using laser interferometry from glass? Or even stranger.

  187. allezkev says:

Change in the Balance of Power in North London…

    Bale goes to Real Madrid.

    Suarez joins Arsenal…

Hmm, can’t work out where the change is supposed to come???

  188. rockyrocastle07 says:

Adam – The reason Luther is not troubled by such things is fairly simple… He’s Nails. End of story. So there (surely an argument winner there….)

  189. Adam says:

Rocky. I bow to that impeccable reasoning.
I notice that he has personal hygiene problems too as he never seems to wash. He looked very smelly yesterday.

  190. rockyrocastle07 says:

He does wear the same clothes a lot, I’ll give you that. He is very fond of grey. Doesn’t stop every woman I know wanting a piece of him though!

  191. tsgh says:

you think so Rocky… I rather be doing jack all like the rest of the population 🙂 or be making £7M like AW…lol

    You are in marketing?

on a serious note my profession is filled with a bunch of conspiracy loonies…

Emma, 10 mins gone and the game looks like it is being played around tthe centre circle…

  192. rockyrocastle07 says:

Not in marketing mate. Asset Management – Investment Operations. It’s ok… Pays the bills!

You say that, but I don’t reckon you’d be happy sponging like some of the dossers you see in the papers on a weekly basis getting their lavish lifestyles paid for by us mugs (and I don’t mean the Arsenal Deadwood when I say that….)

  193. tsgh says:

😀 AFC deadwoods… at least they pay 40% tax offshore in AA23’s case at least.

Oh ok… so you wear a suit to work?dapper.lol

  194. rockyrocastle07 says:

Not me mate… jeans, trainers, Adidas tracky top…. love it!

right, I’m off home… had enough for one day!

Hopefully catch you all tomorrow for a bit

  195. stevepalmer1 says:

    Evening all, Nice one Rico,
Not had a chance to read the comments but sure that someone would have commented that if Suarez says yes to a move then he would have deemed to have asked for a move and would lose out on any transfer money. Now we will see if he really wants a move or not, as i see it its all down to Suarez. As far as our youngsters go i haven’t seen anything from them that would make me want them in the first team. but what i have seen from Walcott i would be tempted to replace him with a youngster as i’m sure they would do better than him. I want to see Quality player lining up for Arsenal not wet behind the ears bits of kids. Now is not the time for kids we need experienced players like Suarez that know what’s required of them. 8 years says we have waited long enough and now we seem to be talking the talk we now have to walk the walk..

  196. tsgh says:

    Football Funnys @FootballFunnys

Arsene Wenger has stated the bid of £40 million plus £1 for Suarez isn’t true. The extra £1 was in fact for Stuart Downing.
    10:46 AM – 24 Jul 2013

    Lord Sugar ✔ @Lord_Sugar

Arsenal bid for Suarez might breach PL rules. How did they know about clause in his contract about above £40m. Liverpool should complain
    1:23 PM – 24 Jul 2013

  197. tsgh says:

Injured Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, 27, has been playing golf close to Chelsea’s training ground – fuelling speculation the England international could be on his way to Stamford Bridge.

  198. rockyrocastle07 says:

Alan Sugar is such a prick. What’s it got to do with him?? Liverpool should complain?? I want to complain that this grotesque shitstain of a man offends my eyes and ears, and his very existence is a skidmark on the underpants of humanity

  199. rockyrocastle07 says:

Yeah, we’re best buds!! Sorry, ridiculous heat on the bus has made me even angrier than normal. Which is no mean feat.

  200. tsgh says:

There were more gooner replica jerseys in the HK stadium earlier when the swampies were playing Sunderland…. it must be more depressing supporting the swampies. lol

  201. Scott from Oz says:

That must be the most positive single day during a transfer window in the short but illustrious history of Highbury House.
Don’t worry about they yank, i was wondering what you were all smoking 🙂
    Morning boys and girls.

  202. ktr7 says:

seems like Guardiola is going for a 4-1-4-1 formation with Bayern.i liked their well coordinated pressing which meant their sole holder, kroos, wasn’t overwhelmed.

ts am also in the engineering field 🙂

  203. C Hills says:

    Evening all.

Ts, are you one of those searching for evidence of life on other planet? That, indeed, is boring if true.

  204. tsgh says:

    Night rico,

    Hi Scott, Kt, and Ch

Scott, how many dippers are in Melbourne? lol

Kt, it was an interesting match. I was not sure were Lahm was playing… what engineering field are you in? I guess I should have suspected you being very analytical and all.

Mr Ch, I wish I was mate… I know what is out there and it is my creator only. 🙂

  205. Micko says:

Kev, you gotta stop setting me up on these blind dates ole boy.
    .
Higuain looks all set for Napoli, that will give Madrid the green light to sign Suarez and leave us favourites to sign the one and only Jack Shit.
    Summer of change, my arse.

  206. W.A.T.H says:

Well we all know why there are no hubcaps in Melbourne with all those dippers there…! Nice send of for Suarez through 95,000 to cry and say bye to their best player..!

  207. C Hills says:

Holla Ts, now I really need to ask about your roots. Anyway, where are we on the transfer front? Afraid of looking at the papers.

  208. tsgh says:

hey Micko, dont jinx it for us… how are you buddy?

I am still waiting for CF04….

WATH… I hear you are going to recruit Abu Dhabi to serve your GG daily. 😉

  209. W.A.T.H says:

Ts, I heard you had forwarded his CV to my PA, she apparently said bollox to that the bloke is always off sick…!

  210. C Hills says:

Really Ginge? You mean Neymar’s arsenal move can now be completed? Wenger out, for allowing that; everything is his fault.

  211. W.A.T.H says:

My rights are to choose not to employ such a sicknote Ts, what if I have to wait an hour for a GG cos he has sprained his little pinky opening the fridge door…?

  212. tsgh says:

    😀 lil pinky…

you have to look on the positive side, at least he wouldn’t steal any of it…

  213. Joaquim Moreira says:

So. we will have Higuain at Emirates Cup with a blue shirt and maybe Bernard with Porto,
    Not very funny

  214. Micko says:

Wath, funny you should say that, the other half keeps waving her little pinky at me, I think she needs to get it looked at.
I’m good tsgh, CH, it’s the others I’m worried about.
Where’s our next signing coming from ? Maybe that’s thats a question for Captain Caveman, over to you Adam.

  215. Micko says:

JM, don’t give up your day job, your sounding as grumpy as kev !!!

Nite Gooners, looking forward to Jack Shit in tomorrows post.

Keep up the good work rico.

Scott, looks like you owe your mate a flying headbutt btw.

  216. tsgh says:

Micko, I know Stan has Irish ancestry… speak to him to sign the thing.

Cool kt, what sector? I know a few EE working on crossrail etc.

  217. tsgh says:

Are you kidding me kt, you are going to make WATH over dose on GG… that is the new canvaro or thuram imho…

  218. ktr7 says:

    Telecommunications ts 🙂

i really hope Ginter rumours are true.he will not please the masses but he is a very good player and could be worth a fortune soon.

  219. Scott from Oz says:

Good to see so many up late again!
Liverpool still have a massive following here in Oz.
I could not watch the game though.
I want to See Arsenal out here, not Mancs and Scousers.
    Stuff that.
    Home and Away was on!

  220. Bradster says:

    Morning peeps,

I thought I’d check our goal scoring stats to justify the need for a wonderfully skilled striker. We scored 72 goals in the prem last season. 51 goals were scored in 11 games, therefore 70% of the goals in 30% of the season. So 21 goals in 27 games clearly shows either 1-0 to the Arsenal, 0-0 or a loss.

  221. Bradster says:

Haha, I remember those Auzzie soaps on tv here when I was growing up, wasn’t Kylie Monogue in neighbours back in the day?

  222. tsgh says:

Good point about our goal stats…

As I always say we lack big game players… too many players scoring hat-trick against Saints and Wigan and going pop against Utd or Chelsea…

  223. rico says:

You talking about me Bradster 😉

Horrid news from Spain, 77 dead in a train crash…..

    Morning all….

  224. emma says:

What was that clause on Suarez deal?
Suarez and his agent, Pere Guardiola, brother of the Bayern Munich manager Pep, have worked on the understanding that a clause in the player’s contract states that Liverpool’s failure this season to secure Champions League football means any bid in excess of £40m from a club in the competition would require Liverpool to sell the player. They are mystified as to why Liverpool have rejected the Arsenal bid out of hand.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/luis-suarez-to-demand-arsenal-transfer-talks-as-liverpool-stand-firm-8730931.html

  225. allezkev says:

Could the Suarez transfer echo the Courtroom generated transfer of George Eastham from Newcastle to Arsenal, back in the mid-1960’s?

We could be in for an interesting few days up to the end of August.
The Media must be licking it’s lips with glee at the thought of all the anti-Arsenal headlines they can dream up…

  226. tsgh says:

Morning Kev, your reference to 1960 just put a smile on WATH’s face… lol

Emma, Rico, Van Judas was due an injury anyway so I guess, a leopard can’t change its spots as the saying goes. lol

  227. emma says:

LFC underestimated arsenal as they must have thought we wont go beyond £30m mark. I suspect Arsenal must have seen the doc. of the reported clause and acted upon it. I think £45m will do the magic 😉
