Yet another striker dreams of Arsenal & Player swap planned…

According to The Daily Mail Juventus are lining up Theo Walcott and Gareth Bale, in the deal for Theo they are willing to offer Milos Krasic in part-exchange, well they can want all they like, this just won’t happen!

Lille striker Moussa Sow, a name we have all seen written in connection with us before is looking for a move to the Premier League in the summer and wants to reunite with his pal Gervinho.

He is stalling on the new contract offered by his current club:

But my dream is to play in the Premier League because you progress as a player with the atmosphere, goals and game.
I watch the games with envy on TV. I desire to play there one day. Arsenal are a big club but we will see.

So, that makes it Loric Remy, Lukas Podolski and now Moussa Sow who have all at some stage over the last few months spoken about wanting to join one of the most prestige clubs in the Premier League. Actually, make that THE most prestigious club in the PL…..

Out of the three, Remy has to be the better option, he’s young, tall, fit and fast and right now he averages a goal every other game (roughly) but put him in this current Arsenal side and that average would soon get a lot better.

Will we get him or another striker in January, well that remains to be seen but Tuesday certainly proved that we are in desperate need of one.

Talking of Tuesday, Kolo Toure has been speaking about the hostile reception that Na$ri received on the night, the same one he’ll get from Arsenal fans anywhere! He reckons it’s all down to the fans loving and missing him!

Fans do that [boo and taunt] when they love you. They saw him playing for the other side and they weren’t really happy but they love him and they know he was a great player for Arsenal.

Cough Kolo!!

The same player goes on to say that he believes that our drought is soon to end – he was asked if we could win something:

Definitely, It’s magic: Mr Wenger brings in any player and makes him better. He’s a fantastic manager, he knows how to see promising young players and that is a great quality for him.

If Wenger gets us a striker, we may just this season…

Manchester United got knocked out of the Carling Cup last night, they lost at home to Crystal Palace, 2-1 in extra time and another side who lost last night was the noisy neighbours.

They were beaten 2-1 away from home to a side that were down to ten men just before half-time. They now have to beat Shamrock Rovers in their final Group game and hope that Rubin Kazan lose to the Greeks — but they also need a six-goal swing just to pip the Russian side for second place on goal difference.

Another side heading out of Europe?

Oh well, we aren’t………..

Morning rico…..that was a weakened spuds side that played last night. I wouldn’t read much meaning into that result. There sole priority this season is to finish ahead of us…..its like a trophy for them. I ll bet you we ll see a DVD soon if they achieve that feat….but we know they can’t,won’t and will never finish above the mighty arsenal! COYGS….morning HH.

  2. rico says:

    Morning all…

goonster – i don’t care what side Arry played, they lost and could be heading out of europe 🙂

  3. lee says:

loads of thursday matches in eastern Europe followed by tough domestic games, hopefully pick up loads of injuries….. 😉

  4. rico says:

I had to go to the dentist yesterday, lovely guy but he’s a chav fan, his son is a gooner – for the first time in quite a while i enjoyed my visit…

    wonder why 😉

  5. goonster says:

And hey our beloved club is 125 today…so happy birthday to us all. Come you gunners. Come on. I expected you to write a historic post rico…..

  6. goonster says:

So mousa sow huh? Another african we ll lose to the ACON…..we don’t need him let’s get remy instead. The goetze news is gathering pace. Hmmm who thinks wenger signed BFG because he wanted mario to have a german on the team….I do.

  7. rico says:

Have you guys seen the story about the Chavs and how they think they can sign Frimpong for £10M

What a joke, this kid is a Gooner…..

  8. goonster says:

But AK lee and WATH were…..so you should have told them to. Anyway happy birthday arsenal. Loved you from the onset and ll die with you on my lips and “come you gunners” in my heart. So glad I wasn’t “born” a spud or worse a manure fan…..yuck.

  9. goonster says:

That story originated from the kids birth country, ghana. Some miscreants are trying so hard to put a wedge between frimpong and wenger. It won’t work. The lad is a gooner and just like me, will die one!

  10. devilgunner says:

Morning all you guys and chicks of the gunner’s faith.

Goonster…..check the dates. Arsenal played their first official game on the 11th December….so our official birthday is in 10 days time.

  11. goonster says:

I have a good feeling about this season. It reminds me of the 05/06 season only I feel we ll go one better this time…and before you all sharpen your pitchforks and knife just hear me out…..ermmmm I ll be right back. Nature calls.

  12. devilgunner says:

I am there with you Goonster……..I also happen to think that we will go a step further this season. I told AK that. I think that the triad ARSENAL, Manure and shitty this season will have more twists and turns and we will end up smiling.

  13. rico says:

    I don’t – not unless Wenger buys a striker….

    Liverpool
    Chavs
    Citeh
    Scum
    Manure
    Newcastle
    Us

    Top 4 is a tough task…..

  14. stevepalmer1 says:

Frimpong reminds me of Samba anybody else see the resemblance maybe diferent positions but both have that never say die attitude. Just strikes me funny how when Frimps has a good game he seems to be a wanted man, Theo as well and everybody is supposed to be saying we have no players the top teams would want.

  15. W.A.T.H says:

    Morning Rico 😉

DG, your wrong about the first trophy………!

Our first real trophy was getting promoted to division one at the expense of the swamp dwellers and not finishing in a promoted spot hence they have forever been bitter twisted and jealous of us lol

That was the start of our trophies matey 😀

  16. Essien Isaac says:

well a nice arsenal comunity going here eh! I would prefer podolski and gotze! Then we will have 3 germans in the squad! Remember? ”Trust the germans they can fight.”- Wenger!

  17. Essien Isaac says:

Guyz i know this one thing in ma heart. Wenger will get us a striker come january UNLESS OFCOURSE… Van persie signs by then. For that same reason, wenger might leave it late in the window. And knowing wenger well, he might not go for any of the names on our lips now! Gunner for life!

  18. W.A.T.H says:

Arry couldn’t tie Henry’s boot laces eh SP 😉

Yes Rico it’s why we are not liked especially it seems by the establishment but who cares…!

  19. devilgunner says:

Supporting Arsenal is always a rollercoaster of emotions. But I would not change them for anything.

7 years without a trophy?? I do care……but I still love the club.

  20. W.A.T.H says:

Hangs proudly on my wall next to the framed tkt stub from the match…! A night never to be forgotten…!

  21. devilgunner says:

I was still living with Pa. We had to have the lessen the noise since at 23.00 hrs I took the stereo out on the balcony and blasted out Queen’s WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS. AT 23.00hrs. The neighbours sent the police. Did I care?? No. We continued the party inside.

  22. allezkev says:

    A new striker eh?
Still gotta hunch that TH14 might sign on short~term.
Failing that, how about a straight swap?
    Maroune Chamakh for Kevin Gameiro…

  23. allezkev says:

Gotta say that i have to eat a bit of humble~pie over Djourou…
Think that he’s put in two good performances at full~back recently. Credit where credit is due.
Also Squillaci had a good game vs Shittie.
Should help in flogging him next month.

  24. devilgunner says:

Or just newspapers who have nothing to write and therefore try to fill the pages up.

    How are you AK???

  25. allezkev says:

Hi DG. I am good thanks. You & Yours ditto i trust.
Yes mate we are in for around 9 weeks of newspaper speculation with 99% of it total rot.
But it gives us something to chat about. 🙂

  26. smudge says:

Quiet tonight, no one out there in virtual space.
I liked some of the earlier ‘trip down memory lane clips’

  27. devilgunner says:

Oui Smudge……it was shown in Henry’s goals for Arsenal. But thanks for showing it…..does bring back some memories.

  28. rico says:

He was something special was Henry, my fav is the run through the whole of the scum side and scoring – it’s one of his favs too, especially the look on the scum fans faces…..

Henry said he loved that look 😉

  29. rico says:

    Thanks DG – just wonderful…

I liked that one too smudge – left the big dane stranded…

    Oh those days eh…..

  30. smudge says:

I think two quality additions and the good times can come sooner than we think. Deadwood has/will be shifted and the remaining squad seems to have quality and commitment. Manc/chavs are in reverse and spuds will stall when ‘arry joins england or finds things two taxing.
Yes my optimistic vibes are returning.

  31. rico says:

smudge, that’s all we need, get two players in jan.

Then, out the no hopers in the summer if not before and then just steadily build, and stop holding on to players who really won’t ever make it….

  32. smudge says:

Striker and wide midfield are the ares to strengthen imo.

    Vargos,

    LLorente

Would do nicely, funded by the sales of Chamakh and Arshavin

  33. rico says:

Add Vertonghen – and we could win the league 😉

That’s me done folks, you all have a good one…

    Be good and stay sfe,

    Nighty smudge, DG and all…

    🙂

  34. allezkev says:

What’s all this i keep on reading on here about willies..?
    Willie Young i hope… 🙂
Yeah, my favourite Henry goal was when he ran through the scummers to score before sliding in front of their mob at the Clock End.
Also enjoyed his 4th [i think] against Liverpool when he turned Jamie Carragher inside out and on his arse before scoring.
Any goal against Liver[bullshit]pool is a great goal.

  35. allezkev says:

    A League Cup semi~final defeat…
A couple of disasterous performances at their ground in recent seasons.
Yes, it’s about time that Wenger & Arsenal took Wigan Athletic seriously.
We are long overdue a 3 pointer from our team up there.

  36. allezkev says:

After such an uplifting performance by our 2nd string against Mechanical City, i’m really looking forward to Wenger’s team in Greece.
I’d like to see Wenger give Ozyakup a start. I think he has a lot of talent and could well be pushing for a 1st team squad place next season. Especially if he has a successfull loan, as i expect to see him given, from January.

  37. Marinello says:

Good win today, also good to see the goals being shared.
A cold and grey place to play at the best of times.
Watched the City game, not a lot between the teams until their £28m striker scored. was heading for extra time. Never mind, it gave players like Frimpong and the Ox a chance to shine. Shame that Chamakh didn’t seize the opportunity.
I noticed that Goonster has Man flu, get your Mum to feed you either chicken broth, or chicken soup. its an old fashioned remedy that Scientists cannot disprove, works.
