Yaya signed? Just how far does loyalty go??

Morning all,

The main football headlines are about David Beckham retiring at the end of the season. He’s been a super player, a fine gentleman and one of a small number who can say he always gave 100% for his country, both on and off the field…

I truly wish him and his family the best, I doubt they will ever go short….

Next up, according to French website RMC Sport, we have all but completed the signing of Auxerre forward Yaya Sanogo on a free transfer. The 20-year-old 6.3ft striker has impressed for France at youth level as well as becoming a regular at Auxerre this season and he’s apparently declined the offer of a new contract at his current club having agreed to join us a couple of months ago.

Other news, or rather speculation surrounds Peter Hill-Wood, it’s suggested that he’s to finally step down from board this summer. Well that’s all good news isn’t it, so many of us have got a bit fed up with his tired old comments. especially the one’s that tell us all the club have no reason to sell a player and they won’t be doing so. That usually spells the end of that players Arsenal career…

Anyway, maybe that old saying ‘be careful what you wish for’ could come true as it’s very possibly that Josh Kroenke could be the one to step into the old Etonian’s shoes. One Kroenke involved in our club is bad enough, two would be simply awful….

How many times are the newspapers going to run with the headline, ‘Wenger is staying’ ?

We get the message, he is seeing out his current contract!

That’s because he’s loyal, over the years it’s been reported that many top clubs like Real Madrid and er, Real Madrid, oh and now PSG (not so top but have plenty of money) have desperately tried to entice Wenger away from Arsenal. However, they have always failed, I strongly suspect there are other clubs who, when we were winning trophies, also tried to lure the Frenchman away but to no avail..

Like I said, that’s because he’s been loyal, to his bank manager employers and his players and of course, his contract.

This season alone we have seen numerous managers sacked throughout the league. Some have obviously been far more high profile than others, some have been after a very short career.

Old red nose, since announcing his retirement has been a little more loose with his tongue, in an interview yesterday he not admitted that the ‘hair-drier’ is a very exaggerated story but he’s also confirmed that he is guilty of putting referees under immense pressure as extra time approached if his team were losing – he and his son reckon 30+ goals have been scored in ‘Fergie time’. I make that at least 90 points if all were PL games! Cheats!

In relation to the constant change in managerial posts he said this:

This is an unusual club. Look at the behaviour of some clubs sacking managers. I’m not naming names — the whole bloody lot of them. We show patience, trust, loyalty — and it’s rewarded.

But how far does that loyalty go?

How many seasons without success on the pitch can go by before a manager be sacked?

What is success?

Winning trophies?

Playing wonderful football?

Staying in the top four?

Staying in the Premier League alone?

Making sure a club lives within it’s own means?

Each and every club clearly has it’s own agenda, it’s own idea’s of where it should be within it’s own league.

So so many Arsenal fans believe that our clubs own agenda is first and foremost to get a top four place, anything other than that is a bonus. I’m not convinced by that theory, true sporting people want to win all they can and at any cost within reason.

But, if that is the club’s agenda, and by that I mean the majority shareholder, what happens if we finish 5th this season.

How far will Stan Kroenke’s loyalty towards Arsene Wenger go……

Or, if the rumours about Alisher Usmanov being one share away from a 30% stake are true, is the American’s own loyalty to Arsenal about to be tested?

I hope so, and I hope he shows what I believe to be, his true colours……

That’s it for another day.

Have a good one..

Ha……..that is a nice written up article Rico.

    Great points.

    Good morning Lady and Gentlemen.

    Success???? Its many things.

I for one would have been happy if we won a pot every other season.

    Imagine this…………..

    2006 CL

    2008 lge

    2010 League cup

2011 League cup or FA cup

  2. allezkev says:

Yaya Sanogo, not long back from an injury.

    French and Free…

    Yep, ticks all the boxes.

    Wasn’t Chamakh on a Free?

  3. devilgunner says:

I do not demand we win every cup we are in for but a little cup or two would have made the difference.

  4. devilgunner says:

    hiya Kev

    ok habib??

Yaya is a different animal to Chamack mate.

he is similiar to Anelka regarding build and directness.

whether or not he has the same grey matter between his ears remains to be seen

but he is a powerful forward

  5. allezkev says:

    Morning Gooners.

Morning Coach. Do you know anything about Sonogo?

Could he be another Chamakh, or has Wenger/Grimandi pulled off a bit of a coup?

  6. rico says:

    Morning devil and Ak..

Just what I though Kev, a ‘typical’ signing..

Thanks Devil, an odd trophy wouldn’t go a miss eh…

  7. allezkev says:

Coach, does he share any similarities with Gervinho???

Morning Lee, glad to see you sharing my enthusiasm for our new signing…

  8. devilgunner says:

at least we would have rammed them down the chocking cocks throat. Not that would have done any good. they all live in cuckoo land and in the slimy slum they call a stadium.

Not exactly injury prone……..just a thorn adductor muscle. At least he is not on the same level as Diaby. Play one get eight free!!! 😆

  9. Adam says:

    Morning all. Nice post Rico.
Sangho could be the new Chamakh. Just what we need.
I don’t think that Usmanov getting to 30% actually changes anything though I could be wrong. Seems to me that the only way he will get control is by making The Syrup a massive offer that he simply can’t refuse. What a shake-up that might herald. Cod ‘n Chips Keswick and his fellow old boys would presumably all be pensioned off,
Dein might return and bring his perma tan etc. but best of all, the name Kroenke could be erased from the books and the Arsenal Sports Franchise, to which I am a substantial subscriber, would be no more. What replaces it is a matter for conjecture.

  10. allezkev says:

    Morning Rico…

Adam, as we blog, is phoning the Arsenal shop to put in his order for his new Arsenal shirt, with Sonogo on the back…
    Me too!

  11. devilgunner says:

not exactly habib. he does not fall over himself.

he is direct and knows how to shoot. (AW will continue to hone that I am sure)

    watch this……….

  12. Adam says:

Kev. 🙂 it’s on order together with Rooney shirt for Mrs Adam and a Higuiain shirt for Lee. Better still I’ll give Lee my commemorative Sanogo kit.

  13. devilgunner says:

    Or this……….

this will have Adam tattooing YAYA on his biceps. So when he flexes them he will start yaya-ing 😆

  14. Lee says:

You’ll have to prise my Gervinho shirt off me first….um bongo looks like the world beater we need!

  15. Wavy says:

Is this french refugee officially part of AFC. Has he been announced as signed on the official web site? If he has ok. If he hasn’t it’s all only paper talk. As yet.
But as has already been said, he ticks all the Arsenal boxes. I hope a treatment table has been assigned to him! And that he has been given a big fat contract to keep in gim in the manner to which all our players have become accustomed!
Same old story, with the probable, same old outcome. I wonder if he is related to Diaby?

  16. rico says:

    Morning Lee & Adam

I knew that piece of news would get you all excited…

The Rooney rumours are gathering great pace, unlike some of our players 😉

  17. rico says:

They are both always quite tanned, although Dickinson in an orange kind of way. Maybe he’s related to Phil Brown..

Morning Wavy, I bet we will soon hear about this one….

  18. Adam says:

Rooney’s in the bag Rico. Kroenke’s new venture Stan’s Syrup Syndicate have a whole new range of syrups. Ronney has been promised a free Gervinho model.

  19. gunnerpete says:

Just about sums up the problems we have at AFC with new players being written off by people who know sod all about them and will rubbish all that Arsene does anyway. Did you also know that Pires,Overmars and Petit were said to be injury prone and they were pretty good for us! Let the lad come and show what he can do before the knives come out, thats the old AFC way. If he then turns out to be poor we can sell him to the Spuds.

  20. devilgunner says:

not only a free Gervinho model. But Roo has also been promised an area upon which a home for grannies is going to be built and he is to be the sole CEO/chairman.

  21. rico says:

Morning Pete, it’s Friday, we are just being light-hearted…

Once he’s confirmed and played, only then can he be judged, but we are certainly not the only club trying to sign him..

Yaya or Chamakh, Yaya all the way and I haven’t even seen him play 😉

  22. devilgunner says:

    2008–2009 France U16 18 (18)

    2009–2010 France U17 16 (9)

    2010– France U19 9 (2)
    2011– France U21 2 (0)

  23. Wavy says:

Is he from the Muppets Show?
    Gonoso!! – sort of anagram!

If he signs I hope he will be really good for us. But he none the less ticks ALL the boxes of a typical unknown Arsenal signing. I fear the worst but hope for the best.

  24. devilgunner says:

obviously he needs to fill up because he is like a walking stick. He will be pumped up by AW surely.

we get him on a free and then we will sell him for 40 million when he is 25

  25. devilgunner says:

I am off today my friends.

I have a meeting which will last till 2.30 here.

I will be counting the sheep in my head.

    off now.

    cu later today.

  26. Jay says:

You have to ask yourself are Man U,Real Madrid,or Man City interested in Sonogo ,My guess is no,and they have scouts watching through Europe the same as us.Another cheap hopeful that we can add to the endless list of recent years.

  27. rico says:

The same man who signed Henry, Pires, Vieira, Petit, Overmars, Anelka etc etc too, albeit a few years ago…

And you boys say women can be bitches…. Tsk..

  28. Bradster says:

    Morning all,

I have no problem getting him for free and unknown. My problem will be the salary he is offerred. Our problem has always been that the gambles Wenger makes earn too much to pass on as quickly as other teams.

That’s why we still have the deadwood on our books and a giant loan book because teams do want them but not at the wages we’re paying.

  29. Joaquim Moreira says:

Sonogo is not “free” in reality because he hasn’t 23 years old. We must pay something to Auxere.
Arteta probably will not be fit for next important match.
My solution is Coquelin but I’m not the coach.

  30. rico says:

Speaking ahead of the weekend match at Newcastle about Sanogo, Wenger said:

‘It is in advanced stages but it is not done.’

  31. rico says:

    Hi Bradster,

He may not be on a high wage in the french 2nd division so there is no need for us to be offering him ‘that’ much.

However, we all know that hasn’t always been the case.

IG did say though earlier in the season that wages are one of many things that will be looked at and the structure changed, hopefully that means for cases like this…

  32. rico says:

Oh, and I had a dream last night…

We lost at home to Newcastle on the final day of the season and the Totts drew 2-2…

But they weren’t playing Sunderland in my dream, I think it was Coventry…

Dreams are a funny old thing…..

  33. Rammers says:

    Morning all.
Whether we like it or not, the board and our owner decide what is deemed a successful season, and obviously they believe we are a raging success 🙂
    Devil, i figure…..why fight it 🙂

  34. Canadian Gooner says:

Good Morning to the Lady of the House and fellow Gooners in residence.

Rico – Amen to your 10:45 am. Coventry you say, that is going back a few years or is it a premonition that Coventry are about to make a return to the top flight?

  35. rico says:

    I didn’t have any Lee 😉

I can’t stand him either, his lot will all out to batter us, and Ben Arfa is back on form …..

Morning Cg, I have no idea why they were in my head, maybe, hopefully, one day the toots will be playing them in league one 😉

  36. Wavy says:

Memories of last season and the departure of AS?? The new man, O song go! Is he really the returning barcelona giant, iN disguise?

  37. Lee says:

Welcome Rammers, with a name like that you’ll get on well with one of our Antipodean bloggers…. 😉

  38. Rammers says:

Just saw some footage off Yoyo, and he has something special.
Whether he can do the same things in the PL is another question, but he is worth a go at the price!

  39. Bradster says:

Will Walcott be happy to play on the wing next season? Clearly Wenger doesn’t see him as the main striker next season and will really unbalance us as he has been by pushing middle at every opportunity bar the wigan game.

  40. Ubayaka says:

Hi every1.well about yaya sonogo~if truly he is coming will dia be any space 4 him or is arsené planing 2 make him the 1st/2nd choice with gerioud dia by leting go of other quality strikers or wud we lone him out or him playing 4 our reserve team? Come on gunners we already have chuks akpam there.let us just focus on newcastle match.i wish we get three points there.

Come on gunners we already have chuks akpam there.

  42. Jay says:

Wenger has just announced that he tried to sign Beckham in 2008, he said that his wage demands were a problem at the time. What a F….. shock.

  43. Rammers says:

Hi CG…..no point hanging on to them.
If they haven’t shown enough to at least play cup ties by 18-19, then they probably won’t make it, unless circumstances have prevented it.

  44. Rejoice Onyedika says:

Pulling down, criticism, complaining, fault-finding, blame, judgment, whining, etc is extremely very easy to engage in. The hard work is building.
And there is very little encouragement in the way many of our (Arsenal) fans treat and talk about our players and the Manager simply because they are not performing up to the fans expectations.
True fans would support the team swim or sink.
What type of a fan are you?

  45. rico says:

Cg – Spot on, good sign the clear out is continuing, just need to add a number of older players to the list,….

    Jay – I read that too, I laughed….

  46. Canadian Gooner says:

Scott (a.k.a. Rammers) – No argument there, but it hasn’t been the club’s modus operandi in the past.

  47. Canadian Gooner says:

This article has a few more pictures of Song vs. Pique. Seems to be more to it than larking about. Note the omission of Song in any official pictures from their season windup dinner.

  48. Canadian Gooner says:

    Rico – I concur.

I have things to do today. So, I bid you all Good Afternoon or Evening. Keep the Faith fellow Gooners.

  49. potter says:

Proper hat-trick against Tours , :- Left foot , Right foot , Header.

Who knows how he will develop.

  50. tsgh says:

    Afternoon all,

I am glad coach also rates Sanogo… a very good prospect.

    Rammers… 🙂 is that a short version of Ramsey’s… 😉

  51. rico says:

Are you saying you rate him too Ts?

Don’t know where you get all your time from to watch all these players 😉

    Good point Potter…

    Off out with Fido, laters..

  52. rico says:

RO, fan will always support the club, doesn’t mean that the board, manager and every player has to be above criticism or opinion…

It’s Arsenal that most fans support, not any one individual that works for them….

  53. Wavy says:

Do you think the signing of Song-to-go is part of the great season ticket scam?
Or might he just be ‘ze plyahwho improoves ze teem’
I really hope Le Chef has found a nugget.

  54. tsgh says:

Ah Rico… I do not watch Iigue 2 🙂 I like RC Lens and Monaco because of AW days day so I catch the odd highlights of ligue 2 on Eurosat….

    Insomnia… 😉

I have an affection for’ the tinkerman’ who is their manager and intrigued about a team such as AS Monaco just on the verge of being linked to the history books of financial issues killing football clubs…

As I reported recently… the french authorities are seeking 200M in taxes from Monaco otherwise they can’t compete in France…

  55. Kevin KJ Downton says:

    RO
    You make a fair point.

I suspect that through an understandable build up of frustration and the constant stream of negativity, all sense of perspective has been lost.

I just wish it would stop now. I hate anyone slagging off my club, especially our own fans. It has gone on for so long it is getting boring. I wish there was some recognition of the massive achievement the football club has made with regards to the future competitiveness of the club. The Emirates stadium is magnificent and achieved without any handouts or subsidies. We have massive sponsorship deals coming in and the club is now generating the income needed to be competitive, not just now but every year. We have paid the price and now we can reap the rewards. We have now joined Europes elite, Bayern, Barca, Real and Man Utd. Forget FFP, it is irrelevant, this is simple economics.

So come on be proud of this fantastic club chaps, I think the journey we are about to go on will be awesome. Lets get those signings on board.

  56. Wavy says:

If we are as wealthy as some think and let’s hope we wre! The padlocked purse should be removed and quality players should find their way into the club. However, it is not really about the money it is about the quality. We have been cutting our coat …..for some years now, but the coat is now big enough not to be cut at all! So, will Wenger play fantasy football or will he continue with his miserly ways? Or might it be a little of both? Song a go go is a start, cheap at least, does that mean that the next man in will be expensive, talented and the finished article, Whaynee p’raps? Os some players of his calibre or ilk. Or has the club been lying and really it has no more money this than it had last and the year before that?
Time will tell. As I said earlier, I hope for the best but I fear the worst.

  57. rico says:

😆 Ts, I guess french football would send you to sleep, AW admitted it does him too..

Kj, each to their own view, if you don’t like that on here, as I have told you before, you are not forced to read…

‘My Club’ – are you Kroenke in disguise then? You sound like you could be..

  58. Wavy says:

Soz, I missed out a ‘year’ in the penultimate line. (The phone rang and I lost the plot!)

  59. rico says:

Wavy – History would suggest little change and if we don’t win on Sunday, I suspect history will repeat itself for another summer….

  60. rico says:

The Emirates sponsorship gives us a reported £30m, player sales could generate £15-20 million. Wages will too be saved by player sales and that’s all on top of the reported £100 million that’s in the funds from lands sales last summer….

Wonder how much AW will be given and how much he’ll spend….

  61. Wavy says:

Ah! Sunday! Of course. The club’s future spending and quality control does indeed depend on Sunday’s result.
Rico I believe you are spot on.
Perhaps they will give all the spare transfer cash to the incoming new chairman, Cronkie jnr, by way of being a ‘golden hello’
One in the board room is always better than two on the pitch!

  62. allezkev says:

I used to champion, the positive line. And in some repects I still do.

But I am damned if I am gonna sit back, like a mug, and accept being lied to by the club and insulted by our Chairman without some kind of criticism of those that run ‘my’ club…

And I don’t need anybody lecturing me on how to support my club thank you…

State your point of view, by all means, but please try to avoid the condescending attitude…

My point is not aimed at anyone in particular, it is a general observation…..

  63. tsgh says:

I see Vpursey was voted manure player of the season… no media outlets are calling manures a man team club considering pursey came from a non-competitive club like Arsenal…

Before he joined the media thought he would be second choice to boy wonder Wooney… 😉

  64. rico says:

Ts, of course they won’t, just like liverpool haven’t been a one man team, yet without Suarez goals, they’d have been in a relegation battle….

  65. Adam says:

Kev. You know what a miserable sod I am these days. 🙂

Go Stan and please take Josh and the rest of the Kroenke firm with you. Take the Usmanov shilling and go and open another shopping mall or sports franchise of prancing American athletes with all the money you will have nicked off the back of Arsenal, a club that you have no link to and obviously no commitment or feeling for. Just go-and right quick. Don’t look back Stan, there is nothing for you here, just a load of real Arsenal supporters or customers ( as you probably like to think of them ) and their per capita spend.

  66. tsgh says:

😀 Rico… now the media are touting the ‘without SC19 where would we be’ line about us…

Per capita… ha ha ha…. he considers the hot dogs sold at the Erms the same value as a barrel of crude oil sold on the LSE… 😀

  67. rico says:

    You are kidding Ts?

Congrats to Jimmy Anderson for 300 test wickets…

    A Gooner I do believe…

  68. rico says:

I don’t like all this 3rd place play off talk, it should not even be talked about until after Sunday, let alone Villa Park being the chosen destination….

  69. rico says:

Maybe the latter, but I don’t think we will win either…

Not at Newcastle with Webb being the ref…

  70. allezkev says:

Adam, I am sorry, but you simply cannot usurp Wath’s position as the Uber Miserable Sod on here.

I know you try to be grumpy, but Wath is just in another league when it comes to grumpyness…

But you are getting there…. 😀

  71. Adam says:

I have just sent Riley an incontinence pad signed “with admiration from a Gooner” That should be enough to ensure our victory.

  72. Adam says:

I have to consult a Shamen to see what it means Rico. At the moment it is a series of confused images. 🙂
Kev. Give me time mate. I am working on it. 🙂

  73. Kevin KJ Downton says:

    “Rico
You said: “Kj, each to their own view, if you don’t like that on here, as I have told you before, you are not forced to read…

Not sure why you feel the need to tell me off, seriously a bit long in the teeth for that Rico. Forced to read? Not at all, there is some excellent comment on here and some knowledgable football people and I enjoy the blog. I don’t agree with everything but that is my entitlement, you should filter out profanity but not opinion Rico.

I said: “I suspect that through an understandable build up of frustration and the constant stream of negativity, all sense of perspective has been lost.”

Q: What is there in that statement that you take offence to?
This is a comment about the negativity around our club. Note the word ‘understandable’. I think it is a fair point. Through the media the internet and blogs etc, there is a lot of negativity out there.

I then pointed out the huge positive that gets ignored, the Emirates stadium, new revenue streams, the proposed sponsorship and our rise into Europes elite group. I referred to Arsenal as my club. This you took exception to:

Rico said: “My Club’ – are you Kroenke in disguise then? You sound like you could be”

Q: I take that was a joke Rico or else it wasn’t very nice.

    1. I have always referred to Arsenal as ‘my’ club, the club I have supported for 50 odd years, is a big part of my life.

    2. I am not Stan Kroenke. I suppose that as I had the nerve to mention the magnificent stadium and our new financial standing etc, you think that makes me Stan Kroenke. No, it makes me a proud fan, prepared to recognise the achievemnt for what it is. Is every Arsenal fan that mentions the positives of the club Stan Kroenke in your eyes?

The point is. when you complain about the 8 years, the manager, the club, the board, the players (much of it is fully justified by the way) just remember that there have also been positives for the club we all claim to love. You say it is fair to criticise all of these, it is but you need to be even handed and recognise the good things too. that was my point about perspective.

  74. rico says:

    Kj,

Just try to stop telling others to have a different view, just because theirs doesn’t suit yours….

Try being less patronising and condescending…

And maybe once these ‘good times’ you keep telling us are on way, finally arrive, I will think change is taking place…

Until then, I’ll keep my head out of the sand thanks…

  75. potter says:

Curious about the rise into Europe,s elite group. Could you expand on the way that you have reached this conclusion.

  76. stevepalmer1 says:

    Evening all, Nice one Rico.
You caught me out again you little minx, Ya Ya theres me thinking Toure and you give Me a nobody. Looking at Wengers first signing of the coming season tells me all i have to look forward to. Judging by that i can see a few leaving , Sagna and Vermaelen may just bring enough for a DM. Can’t see a keeper coming so i expect a very quiet transfer window, boy i’m glad i don’t have a season ticket, Just looking forward to our yearly profits, once again we must have made a fortune.

  77. Micko says:

Pay no attention to the doomers KJ, some positive news from Wenger this afternoon, reckons we’ve been the best team in the premiership since Febuary, errr knock knock, will somebody tell numbnuts the season started in August !!!

  78. allezkev says:

I think it must be getting close to another assembly of the members of the Highbury House Curry Club ‘Um Bongo Section’…

Adam, Lee, Rocky, how’s about it then…
    Let’s be having you… 😉

  79. emma says:

    Goodevening all,

    What did i miss?
Lots of shakeup in the youth team 14 players leaving according to George Bird, authoritatively informed that we’ve got Jovetic in the bag as well.

  80. Kevin KJ Downton says:

    Micko,
Wenger has been a bit dilussional at times. I have criticised a lot of the same stuff others on here have done and appreciate a lot of you are like minded and long standing friends.I think we have had an impressive improvement but at the start of the season we were dire. Just need a few better players and now there are no excuses.

    Rico
“Try being less patronising and condescending…”
That is very, very rich Rico………

  81. allezkev says:

That would be good, if Rico dropped in again Adam. You just gotta sit on the other side of the table mate… 😛

I will check with Rocky, he seems to have gone into hibernation…

  82. Micko says:

Where is rocky these days, it’s too PC on here without him, would love to follow him around with a swear box, I could buy meself a small island in no time.

  83. emma says:

    Chin up guys/gals,
We’ve got a solid foundation to build on ahead of next season. Defense is looking professionally solid, our telepathic play in the latter part of this season has improved from what we had earlier in the season. A strong start next season will see us pushing for the big pot. Lets just get 2/3 players in and we are there

    hi tsgh
I’ve being quite busy lately. Glad to be back.
Have u watched Yaya play? heard he is a huge talent but for the future

  85. rico says:

    I wish I was Kj…

Micko, or when the CL place looks to be in jeopardy, that’s when the season really starts isn’t it?

Fear not Adam, I won’t be there 😉

  86. Adam says:

Then that will be a sad loss for all of us Rico. I would rather be punched by you than anybody else. 🙂

  87. emma says:

Hi adam glad to hear that 😉

So impressed with our defensive performance lately. Glad the team is working so hard for each other. People should understand we have a completely new team especially trying to build a new attack and midfield from scratch. Arteta playing in the DM role for the first time and it took a while for him to get used to it, ramsey being moved all over the pitch until his best position was found.

  88. Micko says:

    Laters Adam.
Curious to know if this pig’s head was donning a baseball cap !
I’m off out to play, over and out.

  89. emma says:

Looks like the ‘departure storm’ is hitting the academy hard, then the senior team follows at the end of the season

  90. tsgh says:

very sad news Emma… but I always thought he was a bit vertically challenged for a LB and was not clinical enough as a LW in a front 3… 😉

  91. tsgh says:

Reminiscing about the good old days of French football when it hard it all… a bit of Chris Waddle, Abedi Pele and some comedy high defensive line straight from the comedy club

  92. emma says:

tsgh – Good player but his height was an issue as a LB and he is not clinical enough as a LW

  93. W.A.T.H says:

Rico… Are you rich… have you been keeping that from us… I thought that was Lee and AK…?

AK shut up you miz old git… 😛

  94. rico says:

    Night Adam…

I’m quite saddened by that Meade news….. Hope he finds a good club and it all works out for him….

  95. tsgh says:

Emma, I also recall watching Yaya in France u-21when Mvila was demoted from the senior squad last year. Niang was playing too and Sunu was on the bench… I thought Yaya looked very solid even better than Niang..
