Wilshere sale not ruled out. Medical team soon to be redundant…..

Morning all.

Guess we’ll have to hope Aston Villa knock out Liverpool in the semi-finals after they scraped through against Blackburn last night. Darn and double darn!

Can you imagine all the fuss and gushing over Steven Gerrard playing his last ever football match in a Dipper strip at Wembley…..

Anyway, we have to beat Reading before worrying about that big day…

The boys have been away from the training pitch for a Paintballing afternoon.. Good fun had by all no doubt, apart from Kieran Gibbs who got battered:

Got absolutely lit up at Paintballing.

Good to see the guys having a bit of fun away from football together. It’s all good for the mind and morale.

Arsene Wenger was asked about the ‘Wilshere to City’ rumours in his press conference this morning:

You can imagine my answer and send it to Sky Sports News. We are not in a position any more where we have to sell our best players.

So the manager hasn’t entirely ruled out selling Jack then……..

Squad/injury news ahead of the weekend:

Wilshere, Arteta and Diaby back to face Burnley. Debuchy also available.

Koscielny will have a fitness test this morning.

Our poor medical staff will soon be twiddling their thumbs all day as by my reckoning, as AOC is the only ‘real’ first team player left out but then he’s back in training…

What a boost for the squad and if Koscielny simply needs a fitness test then all the stories about him breaking a bone in his foot were clearly false. And my speculation over Wojciech Szczesny was wide of the mark too as he could return to the squad for the trip to Turf Moor.

He has a test today and has a good chance to be available for Saturday.

It was a bruised rib so he should be okay. (for the FA Cup semi-final next week)

All in all, it’s nothing but good news this morning which is most welcome.

That’s it for today, have a good one all…..

    Thanks Ts…

AW should relish having all the players back. Would be great if it stays that way too as then anyone he wants to sell will be fit and the others can enjoy a good summers break and come back ready to start the new campaign a lot better than they did this one…

    Good Morning Lovelies an Hunkies.

Good article boss. You should have added the ……like a new signing….phrase!!!!!

seems as if the FA are suddenly feeling uncomfortable with regards this situation. Probably someone will suggest that a player who gets injured during the season can only get back during the January window in which case it will be renamed “The recovery transfer window”. Otherwise if someone gets injured during the close window period he will not play until the season ends. Because they are arguing that with all those players getting back they will be having unfair advantage over others since they will be like 5 new signings. 😆

Good Morning to The Lady of the House and all fellow Gooners in residence.

Rico – I hope you`re right re “…Our poor medical staff will soon be twiddling their thumbs all day…“. However, I also hope you are not tempting fate with that remark.

Yes, it would be great to finish the season with a fully fit squad.

Pjanic is not a DM Ginge. He can play as a B2B or AM but is not a DM by trade. He is a good player and I feel that he will settle in well with the present team. But we already have Aaron and Jack as the B2B players. And a plethora of AMs at AFC.

Nonetheless I would be pleased to see him in our kit.

Ginge – If Diaby is a hologram, someone needs to reproramme the computer so that he isn`t such a fragile crock. Or, maybe he is a medical training hologram who escaped the holodeck?

  6. Dublingunner says:

Afternoon, no doubt Diaby will start feeling sorry for the Medical teams lack of things to do, soon enough and give them something to do.

  7. Dublingunner says:

It,ll take a long time before i,ll start taking Diaby serious, and Wilshere is heading that way with me too, Walcott can jog on too. Guess i just got out the wrong side today.

  8. allezkev says:

I think it was Adam, a few weeks ago, who commenting on my suggestion of using Walcott in part-exchange to get Petr Cech, was of the opinion that Arsenal should not entertain selling any player to the likes of Chelsea, ManC, ManU, Liverpool et al….

And on reflection, I have to say that he is absolutely right…

Wenger, in his Press Conference alluded to that as well.
Which, when you consider AFC’s reluctance to sell Vermaelen to ManU, seems to be club policy now…

Adam also had a pristine lawn…

    Lol Cg…

Rico… the EU bureaucrat are close to passing a legislation against discriminating against short or slow DMs… 😉 Bt is leading the lobbying…

    Good afternoon all HH

    Its been too too long..

I heard the AW interview to the press on Arsenal.com

Diaby playing again , perhaps 15 mins against reading if we are coasting in the cup.

As for JW being sold, i doubt there is any truth in that one.

The most interesting thing i found that, when asked”Arsene , Do you think you have enough in your strikeforce or has Giroud’s form been enough to convince you not to strengthen there?”

His response was ” as well as Giroud we have welbeck and sanchez walcott and don’t forget we have strikers on loan, Sanogo and Akpom!”

NO MENTION OF PODOLSKI…he’s been forgotten already, or been sold hush hush.

I expect Chez to be on his way as well. We can get good money for him. His dad has been shooting his mouth off for a while and having a fag in the showers isnt the wisest thing to do after conceding 2 at Southampton , then having your dad blame the bfg..

Just dug half of mine up! You can’t eat grass but you can eat new potatoes! And asparagus. And broad beans. And garlic. And shallots. And raspberries. And gooseberries. And you get the picture?

  12. Wavy says:

Red onions, very mild, very good in salads not much use in a stew or a casserole! But lovely raw.

  13. allezkev says:

Rico, I am open minded, except when it comes to onions…

All onions have their place, red onions in a salad or sandwich…

Spring onions, in a salad or stir fry…

White onions in a stew or meat pie or sandwich…. 😉

  14. potter says:

All onions have their place {- As far away from my plate as possible . They burn my gullet and make me sick , run a temperature ,and run at both ends .Other than that I suppose they might be all right. Strangely Garlic is fine but Leeks , shallots , spring onions are to be avoided.

  15. Adam says:

Rico. And, by all accounts, a gentleman too. In the literal meaning of the word. Not many of us left now. 🙂 apart from the esteemed members of the HHCC of course. Decent fellows all.

  16. rico says:

Adam, been watching SS’s and listening to the tributes. He sure was a lovely man on all accounts.

I’ll think about the other part of your comment… 😉

    Morning Ts.

  17. Adam says:

C’mon Rico. If I remember, you were treated like a Goddess when we had those lunches. 🙂
    Despite you kicking me. 🙂

  18. Joe says:

Morning all, 2-2 tsgh last minute equalizer from a penalty 😉
A ref has been suspended in Argentina for changing he’s mind on a sending off and penalty because the linesman had seen a replay that showed the decission was wrong.
Seemly it was a hand ball that the ref thought that the defender handled it turned out it was the forward who handled the ball.

  19. Joe says:

South American football fans English refs there’s a horror film in there some where or an all action SAS rescue film with a twist.
