What happened to Thursday, Sunday?

Morning guys.

A short one, a frustrated one because yet again, the FA seem to be doing all they can to stuff our season up. We don’t need their help in that department because when it comes to away fixtures, were doing a good job of it ourselves.

We played last Sunday, away, then Napoli at on Thursday which is how the fixtures tend to go when it comes to Europa but instead of playing Watford tomorrow afternoon as would usually be the case, we play Monday night for Sky Sports, why? Why when we then have to travel to Italy on Wednesday? I know the trip to Watford is just a few miles but the 90 minutes of football could and should be played at least twenty four hours before they are. It’s wrong imo, unfair too.

Chelsea aren’t playing on Monday obviously as no other club in playing that night bar us and Watford. If the powers that be were honest, our fixture has been moved for television because we lost this one last season and our away form right now is dire.

They expect us to lose. They probably want us to lose too because they won’t want us to nick that final Champions League place.

Well, I hope it backfires on them. For Arsenal’s sake of course. First and foremost anyway…

For the next few hours, I’ll be cheering on Huddersfield….

Have a great weekend guys…

G’day Rico, I guess if we want the TV money we have to put up with the demands of the armchair football fans, or at least the media paymasters.

It’s not ideal but away travel is so much easier than it used to be. No running, and falling over in the station, for trains. Just a private plane provided courtesy of Emirates airlines, certainly not cattle class on BA or, total lack of class, on Ryanair. 😉

With two matches in a week against Man City to follow the Spuds are likely to field a weakened side against Huddersfield, I hpe they do and I hope the come a cropper.

Fill it with the Palace game I say Cicero.

Morning Kev, definitely West Ham fan today.. I’ve even been blowing bubbles… lol

I’ve long given up expecting the FA, EPL, Sky and BT to do the right thing and help the English clubs in Europe. I don’t have a Sky TV subscription and I don’t have a BT Sport subscription and I have absolutely no intention of getting one in the future. In fact I expect it to splinter even more once Amazon Prime and the other online giants get involved. Frankly they can all feck off.

Blowing bubbles Rico, yes I can actually see you doing so as I type, resplendent in your pearly queen outfit whilst noshing jellied eels and supping a half of brown ale.
    Bless ya…. 😄

I’ve got both Sky and Bt but it’s something I begrudge paying for yet without it, I wouldn’t see the team play. It’s a tough one..

Yes, I understand Rico, my son is the same, he’s got the full package of Sky/BT for an enormous subscription, it really annoys me what he has to pay to watch his football, cricket and Grand Prix, but I keep out of it, he works hard so he deserves it…

I quite enjoy listening to Arsenal Player now so I can avoid the BBC and Talksport pillocks who commentate on the radio. MotD highlights and You Tube does the trick for me.
Alternatively I may also decide to visit Adam or my son and happily discover, just by accident, that there’s an Arsenal game on live tv, only by coincidence you understand. 😉

I think the Aubameyang to Real Madrid stories are old news Rico, all the same, if Madrid did actually come in for him, it would be interesting to see what Arsenal would do if we got a good offer, given his age and wages?

With Zidane back in charge, you have to wonder about the direction he wants to go in and his plans for rebuilding the squad?

How on earth can Everton take us apart and a week later collapse at Fulham?

  8. rico says:

I reckon we’d sell him Kev. Same with many of our players Wenger signed..

Bigger the team, the more other teams raise their game imo.

Depends on how much they’ve paid!

You’ve got to think that some of their results are not entirely Cosha?

Or am I being a little unkind?
