We’re in the money, Wenger confirms he will buy a striker in January…..

Despite the summers hectic last few days of transfer dealings for our club, Arsene Wenger has suggested that we still have funds put by for further signings and we may not have to wait until the summer to see new players arrive. One area of our squad is dreadfully short and the manager seems to have finally acknowledged this, well, in a way only Wenger would.

Speaking to afc.com, he said:

We lose players like Chamakh and Gervinho to the Africa Cup of Nations, so hopefully touch wood we do not get any injuries to our strikers – But if an opportunity turns up in that department then we will buy.

The situation, I must say, is a bit special. Economically the whole environment has changed and people suffer more. The clubs will suffer more financially and it’s much more difficult.

Maybe we will have some opportunities because we are in a good financial situation.

Ok, there is kind of twist in that comment about injuries but read the last bit again, and what that clearly says is if a striker is available he will buy. It’s not if we get injuries he will buy it’s if an opportunity arises, so that’s a bit of a boost but as we all know, January is a funny transfer window. Clubs are either trying to make a few pounds on a player who is leaving for free in the summer or some clubs just want players gone for the good of their current club and the player.

We are no different there really, how many have we all listed so far that we would like to see gone next month?

Chamakh, Arshavin, Fabianski, Mannone…. That’s just a few, we also have a few out on loan that should have been sold before now.

Then of course there are the quality players who clubs want to keep and the only way they could be sold is if a ridiculous, over inflated price was offered for them and we have one of those ourselves in Robin van Persie – he must be one of the hottest properties in football right now but what would it take for our club to sell him? £70M? £100M?

Of course, no club is going to offer that and even if they did, I’m not sure Wenger would consider selling him anyway…

Then Wenger has to think about the Champions League, if he buys a striker does it matter if he’s unavailable to participate in this competition? Of course if RvP stays fit it won’t matter but should he pick up a slight knock and have to sit a game or two out, we are back to square one aren’t we?

Finally of course, he’s got to fit in and he’s got to be able to score goals, otherwise what is the point? Do we as a club take a risk on player outside the Premier League? Surely someone who has been playing in England for a while would be the better option as he’s already used to the pace of the game but who is there that fit’s that criteria and is available?

My point is, it’s not easy and I guess that is what Wenger means when he says ‘if an opportunity turns up’.

At least he’s thinking about it eh…….

There is one player of course who ticks every box and he’s available, Carlos Tevez??

Staying with Arsene Wenger, the old meanie only banned the boys from eating Mars bars when he arrived.

Water boys, No Mars Bars........

I always thought it was stupid to practice the whole weekend then destroy your game because you don’t eat well, or don’t sleep well, or you don’t prepare well.

It happened to me when I was a player. It’s not understandable that a player practices every day, wants to be a star and then eats something that is not good for his performance.

Can you believe that, the chocolate bar that was meant to help you work, rest and play was forbidden….

Wonder how Mars feel about his comments, and no wonder Wenger is so slim…… 😉

Finally, best wishes to Darren Fletcher who is forced to take a break from football due to illness – I hope he makes a speedy and successful recovery…

That’s it, have a great day all…..

you’ve got to ask why this clown AW buys Africans knowing this will happen

If he bought non Africans he would not need to put his hand in the board’s pocket

Now we are faced with 2 strikers gone for 6 weeks and what is RvP is injured?

If they bought English or Euro this would not happen and it may be cheaper

  2. devilgunner says:

    Whaaaaaaatttttttttttttt. No Mars bars??? 😯
The man must be crazy. 😕

Seriously, he is right. Its only dark chocolate which benefits your body. The rest is crap. And White chocolate is even worse.

Ahh I forgot. Good morning guys and chicks of the Gunners’ faith.

  3. stevepalmer1 says:

    Morning all nice one Rico,
Don’t understand the Mars Bars, Mariane Faithfull swore by them, Mick Jagger gave her one every day aparently.

  4. devilgunner says:

Alan you are bang on. That is why I would never buy African players. Look at Sir old red nose. When was the last one he bought???

Good article Rico. Can we ask 70million for Denilson and 70 million for Bendtner in the January sales???? 😆 😆

  5. devilgunner says:

Steve…..apparently Mick Jagger did not think that viagra was relevant to him so he persuaded Marianne that a mars a day keeps her juicy in a great way. 😆 😆

  6. timao says:

gervinho is one of the best players in the premier league this season but because we stand to lose him for a few weeks every couple of years that makes him a bad signing? what a moronic outlook to have.

  7. rico says:

Hi alan, DG, steve and Lee..

    Mars bars – I love em 😉

How did i know the chocolate bar would bring out the worst in you naughty ones… 😉

  8. rico says:

Buying African players shouldn’t be such an issue next season, as the ACON is set to move…

Tevez, he could sort all our striker problems out and even Torres is up for sale in january 😉

  9. devilgunner says:

Thanks Timao. We did not notice that we have a moronic outlook. Yes mates…shame on us. Why did we ever think of criticizing african players simply because we loose them for a few weeks every two years?? We must be insane.

Incidentally Timao….with the present situation that women are entitled to 20 weeks maternity leave would you you consider employing women for your business if you have one?? You will stand to loose those who are pregnant for quite a few weeks.

Just make sure they do not take mars bars frequently mate.

  10. alan b'stard M P says:

I wonder why the Scots fry Mars bars. I’m bewildered! I never see Archie chew one on ” Monarch of the Glen” 😀

Great thing s for the cholesterol I’d reckon

  11. rico says:

Timao – wonder if you would think the same if Song was going as well, we are all too often depleted in jan when the acon comes round, it’s a valid point about signing african players, far from moronic….

Hi ryan, sadly he is under contract in the usa and returns on jan 15th….

  12. devilgunner says:

No it was honest Rico. I typed 70mill. we can ask for that no??? Then see what they offer in return. We might ask them for 70million peanuts. I can assure you that when we sell the peanuts we will surely get more than they are worth.

  13. rico says:

    lee –

i think to get the kind of striker we need, we are going to have to pay that kind of amount in a jan window, i’m sure in our side he’d soon get back to scoring ways 🙂

Him or tevez, both up for 20M i think…

  14. devilgunner says:

That’s it mates. If I ever try to make a business out of selling mars than the emirates is a no go area for me. Will not be able to sell it to them players. Damn Arsene. Always putting a spoke in the wheels.

  15. boss260Hopefulgunner says:

    Morning all,

With the 25 man squad rule and the home grown player rules in affect arsenal need to buy young i.e. 21 and under or loose a few fringe players to make room.

With this in mind there are a few players we can target in January to strengthen our team and find cover for a few players who are soon to leave due to their age.

Firstly – XHERDAN SHAQIRI – He’s been labelled boy wonder and that he is, only 19 and ready for action, he could slot easily into and top club. He’ll cost around the 10 – 15 million mark however for this talent its a no brainer.

Secondly – Alexandre Pato – only 21 he is young enough so that non of our current players will need to be axed for him to come in and i think we can all admit a big name like that would raise our status to another level, in other words we will have a strong enough team to win the premier league. He’ll cost around the 25 – 30 million mark.

  16. rico says:

    I was teasing DG 😉

Denilosn has said he doesn’t want to return and so has Nik but I can’t see us selling them in Jan tbh, summer hopefully – and in between times i hope they both improve drastically so their value goes up a bit…

  17. lee says:

I’d have Torres in front of Tevez personally…we’ve got to bin someone from our squad, to sign someone, I think??

  18. devilgunner says:

Denilson and Bendy should eat mars bars more frequently. It is said that MARS HAVE BIG CRUNCHY NUTS. That would surely explode Bendy’s self evaluation up to the stratosphere.

  19. lee says:

The problem is the Premier League’s 25 man squad rule. Arsenal currently have their quota of no more than 17 ‘non-homegrown’ players filled, which means if the manager wants to buy a player who is older than 21 he will have to remove one of those currently on the list.

There are three unused spaces. When the club submitted its squad to the Premier League back in September, there were only 22 spaces filled. Which means we could sign a player who has been affiliated to the FA or Welsh FA for a period of three seasons or 36 months prior to their 21st birthday.

  20. devilgunner says:

Rico……..you have put your foot right in it. with the mars comments. I guess right now you are blushing. that has had my sides cracking with laughter.

  21. rico says:

    welcome b260

my own view is that right now we need to carry on bringing experience rather than younger players, we have seen what that has done for our confidence with the late summer signings…

  22. alan b'stard M P says:

Hi Steven. I could not think of a better way to munch on a Mars bar

I loved her too. Still do in a sense, although I’d shy away from the Mars bar now at her age 😀

  23. alan b'stard M P says:

speaking of attractive entertainment ladies, I just saw ” LuLu” in ” heat beat ”

    She carries her age well

    I miss Claude Greengrass

  24. stevepalmer1 says:

Yeh Alan i think i’de swerve the Mars now, I read once that Jagger said hold that between your lips and don’t let it melt, then he sang brown suger

  25. alan b'stard M P says:

    lol

Mick could have enlisted Herman’s Hermits to sing ” I’m into something good ” while down there

  26. alan b'stard M P says:

Santos is overweight already. I saw those Brazilians at the WC and they looked fat. Makes me wonder why they are good footballers with all they weight

  27. alan b'stard M P says:

    Timao

I don’t criticize the players. I don’t blame them for wanting a chance. The fault lies with club mamgement for using African players

  28. goonster says:

Hi ya steve DG and alan, richards is fit to face us I hear? Good! Gervinho ll give him a torrid time. Am not scared guys. I ve seen the city vs chelsea game. They have nothing on us. We ll win this. Kozzer to keep aguero quiet. Song to marshall silva. Walcott to tear zabaleta a new one. We ll win this with a few goals too. Am positive. COYGS.

  29. stevepalmer1 says:

I must admit the other night watching the Chelsea game, i was a little sad watching Clichey on one side and Cashly on the other and thinking of Sicknote Gibbs and Santos the mars boy. Boy we need a good left back.& centre forward

  30. alan b'stard M P says:

    Hi Goonster

If Gervinho doesn’t have an attack of the Bentners and finishes more consistently we may have a fine player

I hope they beat Shitty. That means Chelsea and City taken care off

We can win it if they apply themselves

  31. lee says:

Cashley apparently started a small ruck in the tunnel after their shitty win, by mentioning channel 5 and thursdays!!

  32. alan b'stard M P says:

Vertonghen makes sense from Vermaelan ( is it him ? ) as he plays alongside him in his national squad

    Familiarity, continuity

  33. Micko says:

    Morning all,
All work and no play makes arsene a dull boy.

Devil, if you buy monkeys you get peanuts.

Lee, we should just pay santos his wages in carrots or just make him eat his own weight in slimming magazines, that would do the trick.

  34. rico says:

Is that what started the ruck Lee, that’s funny 😛

My Versatile then is JV – maybe TV will go up front if we sign him 🙂

  35. Micko says:

Alan, well he does have the brain the size of a peanut, if fact I’d go as far to say he has the brain of a dead ant.

  36. alan b'stard M P says:

We need EPL experienced players. Is Demba Ba available? He’s second highest goal scorer, and a frog, so AW will like that

  37. alan b'stard M P says:

Someone with a Rooney like passion for scoring. Who could that be?

    Micko says:
    December 14, 2011 at 10:57 am

” Oh i dunno rico, i hear he does a mean karaoke version of YMCA.”

that’s a good reason to let him go

  38. alan b'stard M P says:

Ba has scored 11 goals. Newcastle are reliant largely on him. Possibly a great aquisition if possible, but as you say Rico, they may not let him go

  39. alan b'stard M P says:

I don’t blame Fab for leaving. He did us a favour, helping to force the board into buying. How would Fab go here now?

  40. devilgunner says:

That’s a cracking one Lee. All I want for Christmas is two big clean sheets……!!!!!1 😆

Seems as if RVP is more at ease with the new blokes than with Cesc. I wonder why??? Any ideas mates????

  41. rico says:

In a flash alan, always hoped Villa would play in our side…. maybe fabregas can have a word and point him in the right direction 😉

  42. alan b'stard M P says:

    Rico

yes I hope so too. Fab obviously still has an affection for the club. We can only hope friendship can influence Villa

Bloody Shitty as usual buying everything bar Christ. They have more talent than they are using

  43. rico says:

be interesting to see what they do in jan alan, they will lose both Toures – Villa wouldn’t go to Citeh, he wants out of Barca as he’s not playing enough, he wouldn’t get much playing time with Citeh either…

Chavs, well i think AVB is going more youthful so hopefully that counts them out too….

  44. goonster says:

How about calling nicky pink boots back from sunderland. I learnt there’s a “call back ” clause in his loan deal to the mackems. Yeah right….I saw you lot cringing. Hahahahaha

  45. rico says:

That article is funny alan, don’t they realise that Clichy has long gone 😉

goonster, yellow card for just writing that suggestion 😉

  46. EastSidePaul says:

I say a loan for Tevez is the ideal situation, We could pay 80k of his wages, considering City are paying for ady to bang in the goals for the spuds,

Are spuds still in the Europa League? What would happen if they face city? Can money bags play for them?

  47. goonster says:

Tevez wants milan ESP, so I heard. The pato story has gone underground. Hmmmmmm I smell a rat guys. I feel(gut feeling) we ll get pato and gourcouff in january. Both stinks like a potential wenger signing. Super stars fallen from grace, looking for a platform to revamp their careers. I have a feeling we ll be getting one of them or both.

  48. alan b'stard M P says:

    Taye Taiwo is Nigerian

Wouldn’t it be the icing on the cake of AW’s stupidity if he bought him, given the trouble with AFC bound players now

  49. rico says:

Esp, Totts have to batter Shamrock Rovers to progress, otherwise, it’s bye bye to them for another year… As for Ade, he won’t be allowed to play i think should they face eachother…

alan, and by a Gooner 😉

  50. alan b'stard M P says:

Gourncoff was written off by AW a couple of days ago, but his public statements may not match what he’s thinking

  51. goonster says:

Taye taiwo is shit. End of. I ve got a few nigerian mates who wouldn’t touch him with a twenty inch bamboo stick. The guy is a panzie.

  52. goonster says:

We don’t rico but I ll take him. He’s class and he’s just 25. He has the potential to be one of the all time greats. Don’t forget he was once touted as the “next zizou”. I ll take him in a flash.

  53. goonster says:

Alan the same AW that categorically ruled himself out of singing arteta and BFG! No way I will never believe a word he says to the press. Wenger is sly and I like it*big smile*

  54. devilgunner says:

The only striker who is capable of playing off RVP and/or playing instead of him and who would fit seamlessly in our system is David Villa. He is good in the box, not afraid to shoot, is a leader of the attack, can play the lone striker role and is a team player.

The next one who can fit in is Torres but he is not a team player. He is like Cesc….the team plays for HIM HIM HIM HIM HIM. Otherwise he sulks.

  55. rico says:

Thats ok goonster, who would you drop to make way for him?

DG, I reckon Tevez could fit in quite nicely, at least he’d make Squilli look attractive 😉

  56. alan b'stard M P says:

    nice to see 442 again

Rico. Is our site snowfall going to increase a little as Christmas approaches 😀

  57. goonster says:

Am freezing too rico….brrrr. Need a hot cup of coffee but I can’t get off my butt here. Am freezing you guys.

  58. devilgunner says:

Tevez would be a problem in our dressing room Rico. He might push us up but he might also spell trouble. I doubt whether he can play the lone striker role. He needs a big guy besides him. With RVP he can play but alone??? And his wages would have to be astronomical.

  59. devilgunner says:

Any one offering to warm Goonie’s butt??? Maybe you should try the Togolesian lump Goonie. He will warm it for you…….!!!! 😆

  60. goonster says:

TR7 arshavin diaby(whom I love and believe ll come good) and denilson. How about that? We clear out a few of the deadwood and get a class player!

  61. devilgunner says:

Yes Micko……but I do not want to break them. His butt is too frozen for them to be able to do the job properly. 😆

  62. goonster says:

DG I may be a whole lot of things but…..dude I ve got class. Ade who? No way I ll rather have rooney’s grand ma!

  63. stevepalmer1 says:

Sorry Rico had to fix our toilet, Vertongen yes, but wouldn’t touch Tevez, i know he’s good but not for me.

  64. alan b'stard M P says:

seems to be trouble everywhere Tevez goes. Still, a loan perhaps would not give him the time to behave like a tart

  65. rico says:

Ok, so the general opinion is, no to Tevez but Wenger wouldn’t spend that kind of money anyway so you guys win 😉

Many want Gourcoff, and we all seem to want Vertonghen, so it’s just the striker to solve, then we can email Arsene nd tell him – simples 🙂

Esp, in that case, i’ll get the kettle on 😉

  66. alan b'stard M P says:

but we need an aggressive striker, and preferably accurate with it, Any Englishmen like that besides Rooney

Bent is a good striker. Leading EPL scorer a couple of years ago

  67. stevepalmer1 says:

I am still hoping Torres, he’s not playing, and the dog is still working well, maybe a knock down price and a cut in pay may see him get first team football in the old red and white.

  68. rico says:

Bent is a Gooner too alan…

Steve, i’d be happy with Torres or Drogba, agag would like Torres too, i am sure 😉

  69. rico says:

Welcome Mebrahtu, but he’s not EPL ready, we cannot afford time for him to get used to this league, we need a striker who can hit the ground running….

  70. alan b'stard M P says:

Drogba would be great even if he will disappear for ACN duties. There is a couple of good years left there

  71. rico says:

Just think how many he’d score too Esp, and he’d have a Spansh buddy in Arteta 🙂

I can see him in red and white now…..

  72. alan b'stard M P says:

whoever we get must not allow themselves to be influenced away from their natural game by AW. I suspect he interferes in a striker’s natural shooting style

We don’t want any of that ” walk it into the box ” crap

  73. alan b'stard M P says:

yes, how many times do we outplay oppositions and have the lion’s share of possession and miss sitters

  74. rico says:

lee 😆 and Almunia in goal, we could do a swap for Freidel….

Talking keepers, Sorrenson wants to move in the summer when his contract expires, how about we snap him up on a free for backup to Ches??

  75. Joaquim Moreira says:

    hello
we need a central forward preparing for playing in the CL.
If someone comes, he must be ready to line-up. There is no time for adaptation. During his period, Gervinho and chamack are comming back.

  76. alan b'stard M P says:

Rico, as you say re D Bent ( from wiki )

” Born in Tooting, London, Bent is of Jamaican descent. His father, Mervyn Bent, was a player in the youth systems of Wimbledon and Brentford.[3][4] He moved to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire at the age of 10 and played for the Godmanchester Rovers youth system.[4][5] As a youngster, Bent was a supporter of Arsenal, and used to have a season ticket at Highbury. ”

Under the right circumstances, he could be ours

  77. Joaquim Moreira says:

Tevez . PSG, Milan or spurs ?
Bent plus another good one 🙂
And offer the kit of the 125th anniversary to Bent:-)
He can plays at the CL…

  78. rico says:

    Hi JM, agree there…

alan, had sunderland not asked so much for him, i am sure he would have been, way over priced and all because he is english…

There is another english striker but i cant remember his name, he’s looking for a move within th PL and desperate to play fo england…

help someone, who is he 😉

  79. alan b'stard M P says:

Maybe a desperate board & Wenger will consider Bent if available

Friedel would be a great aquisition

  80. rico says:

He’s not having such a good time at Villa alan, maybe he’s unhappy and nows the time for a move 😉

Freidel or Sorrenson would be far better than what we have in our reserve goal keeping department….

  81. devilgunner says:

Jaaskelainen anyone??? I would have him in a flash.

Righto….off for training. C ya later on today guys and chicks.

  82. alan b'stard M P says:

Mayank at ” Le Grove says

” After Per has joined us the percentage of goals we concede from headers has dropped from 29% to 9%(lowest in the league). Set piece goals have dropped from 54% to 35%.

  83. alan b'stard M P says:

from Le Grove. Sort of makes sense

Thomas. it’s up for grabs now… says:
    December 14, 2011 at 14:49

We’ve all been concentrating on adding firepower and more goal getting options in Midfield and Attack.. An rightly so.. But here are some interesting comparisons from the invincible season after 15 games!

After 15 games of the invincilbe season we had scored 29 goals.. This season we are on 31 after 15!

We finished the invincible season on 73 goals and won the title with 90 points. Last season we scored 72 and finished on 68 points!

We had 10 wins after 15 games of the invincible season this year we have 9..

The reasons are obvious when you think about it. DEFENCE! We conceded 26 goals all season 2003-04. We are on 23 already this year. Even being generous and saying that OT was an aberation it is still bad. We had conceded 11 after 15 games in 03-04.

Assuming DJ and Squillaci will be moved on we still need to hunt down another top CB. To add to Per, TV and Koz. Both our 1st choice full-backs are out for months. Our second choices are crocked also (Gibbs and Jenkinson). Both of these 2nd choices are not of sufficient quality. I am impressed with Jenks.. but he’s not the finished article yet.

To give us some versatility in these positions I think we need another 1st class centre-back. This will allow Koz to switch to RB when required and TV to fill in LB when required although I am much happier with him in the CB position!

  84. rico says:

Thats interesting alan, merts is doing something right then 😉

i wonder if the return of TV has more to do with it?

  85. rico says:

    I won’t ask which bit 😉

That’s why JV would be the ideal solution, as lee pointed out earlier, he can play anywhere across the back line and DM…

It will like having Grimandi back 😆

  86. allezkev says:

    Afternoon Gooners.
    Afternoon Rico/Lee.
Reading some of the comments earlier made me think i was on a rugby club beano.
Marianne Faithfull, Mars bars, what was that all about? 🙂
Gotta say i’m a Snickers man myself.
Have a feeling that Mick is into Rolo?
    DG, well, he’s into everything.

  87. lee says:

we’ve sorted out our transfer targets can you have a quick word with Gravidis and tell him not to fuck em up!! 😉
It’s vertonghen (and cahill for Rico)
    Torres or Villa

  88. allezkev says:

    Hiya Lee.
Torres is a bit of a shock.
Can’t see the Chavs selling him to another English team.
Too risky. Imagine Torres scoring 25 goals for Arsenal [fabulous thought] the Chavs would get slaughtered.

  89. allezkev says:

Villa, i like him, but cost & his age would scupper that one.
    Take him on loan though.
    Hi Rico. Great post btw.

  90. rico says:

I think Torres wants out of England, poor chap 😉

Thanks AK, i thought the Mars bar would kick start the male’s on here – I too prefer the Marathon bar ….

Who’s idea was it to change it’s name, sounds more like something you’d wear on your feet 😉

  91. allezkev on tea break says:

It’s such a bloody shame that Afobe is injured and Campbell unavailable.
Vertonghen has to be a must.
And i’d still take Cahill if the price was right.

  92. rico says:

I was surprised Watt was allowed off on loan but he’s back next month i think, he’s not the answer to our goal scoring though, not yet…

Reckon Wenger will try and get Campbell’s visa AKOTB, then he could say he’d be like a new signing 😉

  93. allezkev on tea break says:

    Marathon, yeah.
I still think Yakubu is worth a punt, if the price is right.
These guys give you everything, at the stage of their careers, given an opportunity to play Champions Lge & compete for the title.

  94. allezkev on tea break says:

Watt, yeah i forgot about him.
Lets hope we don’t need him eh?
Don’t think he’s scored for Sheff Weds.

  95. allezkev tea break finished says:

Btw Rico. Is it still snowing out your way?
It’s just started to rain in the City.
Lee. You on the train yet?

  96. rico says:

It’s stopped now but its bloomin cold…

Don’t think Watt has played yet 😉

you keeping me busy in the moderation 😉

  97. rico says:

And a deep fat fryer steve 😉 did you get your email, and you AK, who should not be here as his tea break is over 😉

  98. goonster says:

Nashit thinks he’s a better player now than when he was still with us. The little prick is just trying to stoke the fire before the big game. I wish wenger ll send in frimpong to roughen him up after we ve scored a couple of goals….evening fine folks. Goddamn is it cold tonight.

  99. allezkev says:

    Lee. I do, i do. 🙂
Looks like Nasri is detirmined to make himself into the story.
    What a pathetic nerd.
His stock just falls and falls.

  100. goonster says:

You said it Kev. He’s trying so hard to still be relevant. Hahahaha toad face bastard thinks he’s a better player under an italian manager who packs the bus against any top six team. What a c**t.

  101. goonster says:

Even kompany reckons they ll beat us. I can’t wait. I really wanna see how zabaleta copes with theo. Richadss is clumsy he ll have a torrid time against gervinho. Am super confident guys.

  102. rico says:

That is not good Kt, when do you break for Christmas?

goonster, why on earth do you let all that wind you up, what will be will be on sunday but don’t forget, we have something they don’t…

They have a group of well paid players…

    We have a team…

  103. K-TR7 says:

If anyone here watched el classico iniesta must have caught your eye especially in the 2nd half.despite barca’s antics i really like iniesta and i think only messi is better than him.i think he is the most classy midfielder since Zidane in the way he just glides around the pitch.watching him perform a sombrero flick over khedira’s head and twisting away from madrid players making them look like mugs i secretly hoped jack becomes just as good if not better.i hope jack models his game more towards iniesta not cesc’s style.

  104. goonster says:

No no no JM no yakubu crap now. No nigerian on my team. Their players are just a bunch of overpaid pampered brats especially that odewhatever. Somebody mentioned taiwo in the morning too. The guy is pants.

  105. devilgunner says:

Evening mates. Back from training, filled the sack and now I drink some wine before going to sleep.

Any bets that Na$ri will not play next sunday??? I do not think he will. He will only come if the game is decided either way. If it is close I do not think he will come on.

  106. rico says:

DG, i think Na$ri would be too scared to fail against us, and our away fans would give him so much stick, maybe too much 🙂

  107. alan b'stard M P says:

Taiwo is another African. Wenger should avoid them. Why et involved with them due to this ACN. It is causing us trouble now

Trust AW to compound the trouble by buying African again

  108. allezkev says:

First Nasri, now Kompany giving it ‘large’ before the weekend.
Now do i smell the whiff of nervousness coming out of Wastelands???

  109. devilgunner says:

Morning everyone guys and chicks of the Gunners’ faith.

Whaaaaaattttttttttt?????? read the following. AK will surely not be pleased.

Disappointing news from the FA Youth Cup last night, with the under-18’s going out of the competition. There is a full report on Arsenal Reserves and Youth. Perhaps even more disappointing is the news that the precocious young talent Alban Bunjaku has decided to quit the club.
