Morning all.
Losing to West Brom away from home isn’t such a big deal for me but the way we lost yesterday was nothing short of embarrassing. I don’t want to take anything away from Tony Pulis side because they truly deserved the three points but there aren’t many Arsenal players who can look in the mirror this morning and know they did their best. And Arsene Wenger should hang his head in shame too.
But I get it, I really do as I think like us, they’ve had enough. Enough as Jamie Redknapp said after the game, of listening to the voice of Arsene Wenger. There must have been a time when your wife, husband or whoever has been nagging you for a while and eventually you switch off and take no notice. His/her words fall on deaf ears and then a few days later, you hear the same old moans again. This time though, you switch off earlier…. And so it goes on……
They’ll be the ‘we should have had a penalty’ calls, or the ref should have been fairer and perhaps he should, certainly when it came to the rough treatment Alexis received but there’s absolutely no excuses for the way we played.
The way Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain defended for their two goals from set-pieces was Sunday League football at best. No guts, no passion, and neither of them covered themselves in glory. But from the outside it looks like neither had a clue what they were supposed to be doing…
West Broms third was hilarious but for all the wrong reasons. Ospina made a hash of his clearance which eventually led to a goal. Please, no calls of offside because it wasn’t, not in a million years.
Yet the type of performance we all witnessed yesterday wasn’t really anything surprising, certainly not to me. Over the last few seasons Arsenal have always had a performance like that in them, just the number of times we see one each season has steadily increased and that’s regardless of the players who’ve come and gone.
We’ve often heard, even said this team lacks leaders yet it wasn’t that long ago some of us were praising Mustafi for his qualities at the back as he barked orders out to his team-mates. What’s happened to him? Xhaka, captain of Borussia Mönchengladbach before making his move to North London so he clearly has leadership qualities in him too yet neither seem to want to lead this Arsenal team, certainly not by example. Or neither are allowed to which might be closer to the truth. Arsene had a glut of big characters when he was successful but now he surrounds himself with people who will simply say yes, regardless of what the question or directive is. Apart from Alexis Sanchez that is and if Wenger stays beyond this summer, it’s highly likely the Chilean won’t.
This is the worst period for Wenger in his twenty years at the club, but the writing was on the wall a few years ago. He needed to change his approach to keep up, let alone overtake the other clubs around the top of the league but he’s carried on the Wenger way because that’s what he does. He’s stubborn and he won’t change because to change would admit he made mistakes and that’s where he’s different from so many. To change isn’t an admission of guilt, it’s a strength, a recognition that something isn’t right and being prepared to put it right for the good of the cause but I think he see’s it as being a weakness.
Instead for him, it’s easier to lump the blame on anyone or anything, other than himself….
Which is why Arsenal FC are in such a mess…..
It’s the International break now so don’t expect a post each morning and then when domestic football returns, Man City will roll up at The Emirates. That should be fun and by then we might know if Wenger is staying or not as he’s finally made a decision. I just hope that 3-1 loss yesterday had a huge influence on him making up his mind.
So sad that we have to play the same film over and over again. We all know that it is time for a change. We all know his stubborn attitude has left our re-investment in tatters. We all know that there are at least 6 or 7 teams who are streets ahead in tactics, effort and desire. We all know that if this lunacy continues we will be overtaken by Everton and Manure. We all know it has now gone way beyond a bit of an issue.
Yet…he is still here!
I have no idea what is happening to my beloved club. Trouble is, those in charge have no idea either.
7th at best I reckon Db…
It seems irrefutable that Arsene is finished now. There is a story going around the press that the fans will need to endure one more season of him, but I can’t see it. Having said that, would anyone actually be surprised? It’s been the longest goodbye tour in footballing history, with some highlights for sure but ultimately, football-wise, it has been fruitless. From a business point of view though it has been enormously successful of course with vast sums flowing into the club, only to be spent unwisely (mostly) by Wenger on average players and the odd show pony, like Ozil. I was going to write the words “Our club” but I can’t. Arsenal have become a divisive and aloof organisation with little sense of any fan being part of anything other than a financially-centred organisation intent on sucking every last penny from devoted supporters. The whole Emirates experience is rather dull and somewhat tarnished these days as almost everyone in the ground knows that this team, under this manager, are never going to achieve much. They are sick of being spoken to a such a condescending way by Arsene and his constant reminders to us about how great he is, how he has built the club and how many years he has been in football have been appalling really. He may preach the politics of humility, but there is little evidence that he practices it in front of the fans. We have not managed a PL team for a single-day for sure, but many of us have been going to watch for far longer than he has been managing at Arsenal and we know somewhat more than he gives us credit for. You can’t polish a turd – though many, including Wenger, have tried.
So, let him leave and let us see what the new regime can bring. A new manager, coaching staff, backroom changes and perhaps even a re-think at board level would bring its own challenges which is why the choice of who takes over must be accompanied by the club’s support for that man and everything that he does. If he blows out then they will have to get rid of him and find someone else.
I can foresee some rocky times ahead but the alternative is too horrible to contemplate. More of the same from Wenger? No thanks.
Morning all.
Rico, I just saw a still shot of the goal Ramsey is being widely blamed for.
5 defenders at the near post on one attacker, Ramsey closer to the far post with 2 on him.
How does this happen???
What are these others guys thinking, if anything?
That’s representative of the entire performance.
Amen to that Adam.
I too read the extra year story but like you, I simply can’t see it and why would he want another year as that in itself speaks volumes. The only way I could think that might happen is that the manager Arsenal want has one more year on his current contract and isn’t prepared to move, but I’m sure any manager would jump at the chance to join the club. A club which as everything going for it if in the right hands…
Rico. Arsenal are the proverbial ‘Sleeping Giant’ for sure. We could be standing on the threshold of a new era of success. Alternatively, we could…well, you know the rest.
You mean Stans hands, Rico hahahaha
Just kidding.
The one year deal is all over the net ATM.
How would people feel if it was Annette uncles as his final year, without question?
One too many, for sure, But at least there’d be some closure on the subject.
After yesterday’s game, I’d be surprised if he stayed.
As Wenger Scott, he coaches them…
That’s an assumption, Rico hahahahaha
Ha ha Adam, I do…
Not for me, not even one more season. He’s destroying the club and the players…
And the fans!
Rico. If he has made his mind up then why not inform the board and the owner and let us know today?
Unless…….
When put like that Adam, he must be staying surely?
I’d imagine the board and owner already know though…
Morning All
Morning Rico
The complete lack of leadership from the top of the club have seen us slump to a situation where a divided fan base is flying its message above the midlands yesterday, what a absolute disgrace that Kroenke, Gazides and Board have allowed this appalling situation to fester on their watch.
How can any of us have any faith again, in those running the club?
It’s a fecking shambles and Gazides, our CEO, the public face of the club, he says nothing.
I have no confidence in him whatsoever.
Kroenke and son, what a pair of jokers…
Their indecision is final…
As for the Board, Keswick, Harris, a bunch of useless old duffers who should be sitting in the Reform Club getting pissed on brandy and recounting memories of a time when they knew what they were doing, probably before the Korean War…
And so we are left with a manager, who always had scant regard for the fans, who now finds those fans he ignored, have mostly turned their back on him.
All his BS doesn’t resonate anymore, we’ve heard it all before, as have our bunch of spineless players.
Alexis has no respect for him it seems, the rest can’t raise a gallop for him. I can’t imagine any of them organising a players’ meeting to sort things out.
Bould looks helpless and hopeless.
Primorac is a company man, desperately trying to hold onto his nice little earner.
I’m not sure what the other coaches do or are allowed to do?
Wenger is like a football version of Ceaucuscu, in the dying days of the Communist Rounanian State.
Old, out of touch, deluded, with nobody capable or willing to pull the plug.
I hate seeing my club become a laughing stock.
But it’s the only way we’ll see any change.
And those to blame are those cowards at the head of things. Kroenke, Keswick and Gazides…
Wenger is fine, bu those cowards fiddle while Rome burns…
Thanks Rico.
Honk Kong Gooners Out !
Chinese Gooners In !…………………………..is what I say ! hahaha
http://www.101greatgoals.com/news/revealed-actually-paid-wenger-wenger-banners-west-brom/
The one year deal sounds like a con…
So instead of signing a two year deal, he’ll sign a one year deal and do the same in 12 months time.
Job done…
Fans conned again.
Kroenke counting his money.
Gazides and Keswick still in hiding…
Morning Kev…
Sad times eh, the board should have told him to go after we struggled by Hull City in the FA Cup Final, if not then, the following year when we beat a side already relegated to the Championship.
But that aside, Wenger can reap what he sows imo….
Spot on, Kev !
the team plays like Chelsea under the short one last year, yesterday you could not feel the passion or intensity from the players, which tells me that the players really don’t want to play for the manager and at least he should step aside and let someone else take over for the rest of the season….so sad.
I thought Wenger might have paid for the second one Lc….
Hahaha Rico…………..although I wouldn`t put it past Kroenke as well !
I wonder what the chances are of us all being disappointed at whoever is unveiled as the new manager ?……………………wasn`t there a rumour that Wenger favoured Primart ( you know who I mean, just cant think of his name ! ) to take over the reigns ?…………………….I mean, it could possibly all kick off before it has even started if we dont get someone of quality !
If there is no immediate solution, opt for the simpler one: let the head coach leave and the assistant coach enters.!
Wenger out!
I am willing to take the lead until the end of the season (at least!).
As they come, it is not for lack of valid options!
Although I would entertain Pochetino, it just wont happen, so my two fav`s are Koeman and Simeone, coaches who have punched above their weight without the money…………………….cant wait !
LC, Barkley and Lukaku refusing to extend so obviously Koeman is bringing them with him hahahaha
Just adding 2 and 2 together to get 5!!!
Big Game today for the girls……………..come on !
https://twitter.com/ArsenalLadies/status/843414712587096064
I like the maths, Scott !
LC, you’ll like this;
https://shewore.com/2017/03/19/4230/
Good point about Kroenke Lc…
Nice conspiracy stuff, BT !
Interesting info BT, but not surprising and virtually confirms that Wenger is staying…
Doesn’t that just show the type of people we have at the top of the club and their contempt for the fans…
What a bunch of cnuts we have running the whole rotten show…
Surely they wouldn’t have been so stupid as t do that as they’d know someone would find out….
I understand your feelings perfectly. Some of the protesting supporters were criticised by certain pundits for saying that Wenger is killing the club. Your feelings of boredom and hopelessness are shared by me and the majority of sensible non- A,K,B,’s. And it is this very boredom and hopelessness THAT IS KILLING THE CLUB. It’s damaging our reputation. It’s made us a laughing stock for other club’s fans. They mock us, ridicule us.
The board are weak, self serving and don’t much care about the footballing side of things. The Emirates’s administration and general management reeks of complacency, apathy, and tedium. We have no ambition but to finish top 4, only to repeat the failures and mistakes again and again, resulting in us getting knocked out early on. For seven seasons in a row ! What is the point ? Why do we bother ?
Yet there are still idiots who don’t see the need for change, or more pertinently – don’t want to let go of the ( now long redundant ) affection they amazingly still have ( ! ) for Wenger. Thus by wanting him to stay they are giving him the message that he is still welcome to continue killing our club. The A.K.B.’S are the enemies of progress. They are complicit in the damage being done. Remove Wenger and the trance like hold he has over them will be broken. They will have no-one to hide behind anymore. They will be forced to confront the reality of a more hopeful future. This is why Wenger must go. To restore unity and a sense of purpose and direction. Arsenal is a ship without a rudder. Drifting aimlessly on a becalmed sea of morose mediocrity.
Spectrum, not sure fans who want Wenger to stay are idiots, they just can’t accept there’s more to our club than any one manager, or player for that matter. Some of the fans have only ever known Wenger as the manager and fear change and that’ll always be the case in all walks of life.
I’m convinced that a good replacement would see us improve vastly….
Down to 6th we go with Utd winning 1-0 right now…
Rico, in times of desperation people do stupid things without thinking of the consequences.
I don’t know if it’s true but it would hardly come as a surprise if it was.
Hi BT. Very true.
Afternoon Rico and All
Scott it’s called Ballwatching at set play’s.
Arsene said he knew what to expect from WBA
and prepared the team all week.
So very clear to all…
The Player’s could’nt give a Monkey’s what Arsene say’s Fact.
Anyway..Arsene could’nt give a Monkey’s what the fans say.
So we now have a club run by no one give’s a Monkey’s Ltd
Talk about pissing down The Gooner’s back’s
and telling us it’s Raining.
Kev the one year deal makes sense in as much the board are completely unprepared for his going.I believe that he knows his time is up but he knows that the board have no contingency plan. The extra year gives them time to save face and once again the useless cowards in our board room will hang him out to dry whilst they get their act together. Should that be the case I Will ask the club for a deferment of my ST’s until he is gone.
Down to 6th then, sir chips flying planes, Wenger talking bollocks as usual… interesting times lol..
A drop down the league is the only thing that’ll bring change anyhow, no 30m from CL next season and im sure the share price will drop to let’s see how stan likes that.
Oh and England don’t ever come to our place looking Grand slams and world record’s… on St. Paddys with end 🙂 lol
Kel, as if it were’nt bad enough whats been going on, on the pitch, now we have to contend with whats been going on in the skies on a matchday as well…..one big circus is AFC.
I propose a dog fight in the air micko.. winner takes all..
Any RAF pilots on here could fly the Wenger out plane.. Lol
Bt – I wouldn’t be at all surprised either but they must be bonkers to think we fans would fall for it…
If that is the case Potter, it’s a disgrace.
Kel, you can be so cruel sometimes… lol
Lol rico… I’m only playing.. fuck all else to do these days.. spuds 2 up.. without kane.. ;(
yes 2 up at 35th minutes but the Saints could scored more then once
and MU was very lucky, again!
I know Kel, made me smile…
The players are a disgrace too, those who are not even trying. The wages they get, the fans, their families, pride and dignity, isn’t that enough to play for?
They know they needn’t try a leg, and Wenger will take the flak and get all the blame.
They are a disgrace and not fit to ear the Arsenal shirt.
Yes, Wenger has now lost the plot, doesn’t know what to do, but the players do, so why aren’t they doing it? They don’t have to do it for him, but for themselves and the fans.
I loathe the Leicester players now for conspiring against their manager, please don’t anyone say I will have to loathe ours in the same way, for playing this way just to get him sacked.
We are going to end up mid-table at this rate, and the players don’t even look as if they care. As well paid professionals, they should all be ashamed.
It is certainly true that the dynamic between the manager and players is the crucial realationship upon which winning sides are built. Leave an orchestra of the worlds finest musicians to play a symphony without a serious conductor and see what happens. Leadership and respect are crucial and we are missing both, or so it seems from the outside.
Anyway since City will wipe the floor with us maybe the stubborn one is going to leave soon. I just fear the mess he will leave us in. He’s leaving us in Europa Lge for sure. But for me as long as he’s not there with his boring football I’ll be a happy Gunner
10-0 to The Arsenal Ladies…Smashed the Spuds
Go girls…. lol
Good analogy Adam.
Mabo, I reckon we won’t finish in a Europa place..
Afternoon guys…
At this point It’s probably best we finish 6th 7th etc under Wenger as I can just see a new manager maybe struggle in his first season and if he finishes outside the top 4 you just know all the Akb brigade will be out in force saying.. we told you so etc.. no top 4 etc… ignoring the fact that this has been coming for a while now under wengers watch.
You reckon so Rico. I think you right hey. At least we might get to focus on the Epl and the domestic cups. Wenger the has been is really killing the Arsenal. I’ve only known him as the manager but I wish for a new one and I’m not at all scared about the consequences. Surely it can’t be worse
I reckon so too Kel but there’s no reason another manager couldn’t get this group of players performing well and then the so called Akb’s would be silenced….
https://twitter.com/ArsenalLadies/status/843489519798308864
I do Mabo, our remaining fixtures are tough.
It’s gonna be interesting to watch over the next 8 wks thats for sure…
The reason I point that out is I’m tired reading online other fans and pro Wenger fans continuously saying the same thing.. be careful what you wish for…
As I said ignoring the fact that as a club we have been stagnant but now we are regressing fs..
9 games left.. imo 3 or 4 wins tops..
7th is my preference !……………………no Europa League !…………………Europa League will diminish our EPL chances if Wenger is still manager, he will see it as a CL opportunity and more importantly an excuse of fatigue for why we choke in the EPL becuase of playing a strong side in it !……………………he will always have an excuse, but fail to see the real answer to the problems is looking him back in the mirror !.
All very easy for Altletico….
Sling it back at them Kel !………………………..be careful what they wish for !…………..it`s a lot worst than what we wish for !……………….they wish for stagnation and we wish for being a competitve force !
The ‘be careful what you wish for’ makes me laugh, like Wenger staying put is good for anyone? Not even a Kroenke if we do finish seventh…. lol
It`s Suinday afternoon and it`s time for some more …………………..exercise !………….yeahhhhhhhhhhh ! hahaha
I`d like to give you a running commetary, but I`ll be on the spinning bike doing this workout…………………..nothing to do with the lovely looking ladies ! hahaha
I wish Arsene would get on his bike !
So do I Micko, and sharpish….
Lovely Man City goal.
You think he could manage to ride a bike. Mojo has been lost by that man he don’t know nothing anymore
Lol LC that’s what you do at gym. You..d.rty..you hahaha
It was Adam. Shame they conceded a pen.
Need to keep this up and 7th is nailed on and all going to plan !……………………………..19 points behind Chelsea, but Wenger supporters will point out that we have a game in hand !
Hi Rico and HH.
Avert your eyes Scott, because I’ve borrowed another comment from Le Grove, which has some very intelligent contributors.
I don’t know how do-able this is, but I liked its concept.
Copyright ‘Big Lee’.
“The Venerated AFC Business Model: Multi-Level Teet Suckling.
Kroenke is at the top of this teet suckling structure, in the model at least. Next level suckler is Wenger who is suckling on the teet of Stan. Below him is Gazidis and BoD members who are suckling on the teet of Wenger. They know that Wenger has been given exclusive suckling rights to Stan so if they throw Wenger under the bus, their suckling days are over. Change precipitated by removing the manager may result in a dissolution of this suckling model. Gazidis and the BoD are probably scared to death that they may actually run the business of the club, which so far they’ve shown no competency to perform.
A flawed assumption in this model is that Kroenke is at the top and suckles no one. In fact he is suckling the teets of season-ticket holders, Premier League TV money, Champions League qualification money, and the club’s sponsors.
Rather than attacking Wenger, which achieves nothing because his suckling position is protected from those above and below, attack Gazidis and the BoD and hound them out. If a new CEO and BoD come in that have genuine love for the club and the courage of their convictions to not need to suckle for a living, the structure can change.
Attacking Stan is pointless because he is protected by Wenger and Wenger’s sucklers. But he will lose two sucklees – there’ll be no CL money, and prize money from the PL will be significantly lower. It is crucial that season-ticket holders play their part, and withdraw their money to the club or KSE Holdings for us supporters to reap the full benefits and paint a different picture for Arsenal Football Club. Whether or not the fans have the energy and desire to initiate such a radical ideology is another thing entirely, but if we want to be reconnected with our club, these are exactly the sort of thing we need to contemplate.
Then there’s the sponsors. To simplify the process, target the main two – Puma and Emirates.
Instead of ‘Wenger Out’ and ‘Stan Must Go’ banners, how about ‘Puma exploits child labour to make inferior products’, or ‘Emirates provides THE worst travel experience’, or ‘I got explosive diorrhea from eating in Emirates first class’. Do this relentlessly at every match and watch things change.”
Okay, I re-worded a few lines, but not the thrust of the message.
The truth is that we’re having our club taken away from us, and to wrench it back we need to stand up and fight these corporate bullies who are tearing the heart and soul out of The Arsenal.
We are better than Kroenke, Wenger and Gazidis, and it’s time to show our teeth.
http://www.arsenal.com/match/report/1617/post/ladies/ladies-arsenal-10-0-tottenham-report
Utd have two don’t they Lc?
https://twitter.com/wxr/status/843178467076247553?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
Man U have one game in hand on Chavs,Spuds and City, two on Bindippers !…………………………shame we have two on Everton ! hahaha
Hi Herb, try logging in with the other details, then you won’t go into moderation….
Regardless of how sort/useless/etc the board and owner are, the football we play is crap and only one man is responsible for that….
Hahahahaha Herb, that’s fantastic.
Of course they have some good contributors, as all groups do-its their absolute intolerance of anyone not towing the line I can’t stand.
Attacking our sponsors is not a good thing, imo, as not only will it alienate them, but any potential replacements as surely all footwear providers are every bit as guilty of slave labour/child exploitation, and every airline has had a food poisoning issue.
No, we’d like ridiculous if we did that, imo, and it could backfire big time.
The rest is very good.
How can you say that Scott, I tolerate you… lol
You’re bloody well blessed to have me hahahahaha
Like you say, it’s a matter of opinion….. lol
Or interpretation 🙂
Perhaps.
Anyway, I’m offski. Night guys, catch up tomorrow no doubt…
Later, Rico.
Brace yourselves. Le Prof has told people he is not leaving, and a few newspapers are carrying the story in the morning.
He is making a mistake IMO, because things will get worse, he has players against him, fans against him and the media now against him. Even staunch Wenger supporters in the TV pundits, are saying things are now out of hand and he should announce he is going ASAP.
It can’t be good for his mental health to be pilloried at a club he clearly loves. Best all round if he leaves with some goodwill intact.
I can’t see which games we can win in the run in, that’s how bad things are, but I still believe the players have a lot to answer for. They didn’t get to sign for Arsenal by being bad players. Time they manned up.
According to Tony Pulis, Wenger told him that he was staying, how long is anyone’s guess?
Well that’s the fans sold down the river by Kroenke and Co…
Don’t expect anyone at Arsenal to be prepared to take a difficult decision…
They’re all cowards…
COYG
Kev, their silence is deafening.
If anyone was in any doubt about Arsenal being concerned only with the profit margin, then the Wenger contract decision of the club should for sure, clarify that mistake Scott…
Nothing they do or say now will ever convince me, whilst Kroenke runs the show, that Arsenal are a football club anymore…
Of course those that laud the Lord Wenger (how juvenile is that nonsense?) will be celebrating long and loud, but then they seem to not really be Arsenal supporters but more like Arsene Wenger supporters.
As for the rest of us, I think it’s more a case of will the last person out the door, turn the lights out before you go…
Kev, I’ve long held that same belief.
I fear that a new manager will not bring much change in the long term.
I do think Wenger will go at seasons end.
Who replaces him will be a massive decision, but one in which we can’t be confident will be made for the right reasons, due to those involved In the process and their agenda.
Will Stan really allow someone in who can do what’s required to win trophies?
Will Stan suddenly change his ideas on why he owns a Football club?
I strongly doubt it.
If he brings in someone with Arsenes attitude, will that person be able to keep us in top 4?
Stan and his cronies are no doubt scared shitless of the day Wenger walks and I will continue to believe that, because they’ll have to start doing their jobs.
I think we are unanimous on here in thinking there are managers out there who can do the job better but (a), will they be allowed the tools to do so and (b) will the club employ that type of manager?
I hope the answers are yes to both and everything I fear does not come to fruition.
If not, what we’ve seen over the last few years is nothing compared the shitfight that would eventuate.
Of course if we do get the right manager in, and he’s given every opportunity to do well, it’s folly to think Wengers supporters would not support the man and be ecstatic at the success he brings, imo.
Does Wenger not have all the tools to hand though Scott?
Rico, I genuinely don’t know.
Once he’s gone, I believe we will all know and I’ll be the first admit to being wrong if that’s the case.
Rico, just to add, I think we will learn a hell of a lot about the clubs true ambition once a replacement is appointed, and more to the point, who that new man is.
Morning Rico. You’re right. He has had plenty of money but his desicion-making has been terrible.
As has his decision making.
Hi Adam,
You may be right but there’s more to it than just money, And yes, he’d made plenty of mistakes.
Time will reveal all and that’s atheboniy thing we can be sure of.
Imo, he has everything he needs Scott..
Morning Adam. Agree and not only in the transfer market…
Agreed Rico. There are managers with a lot less money than him who are doing better. Koeman, Pochettino etc. Another year would be a real kick in the teeth for a lot of fans. If he stays, can you honestly see him winning the PL or the CL next year?
Tuchel is an interesting manager.
Agreed again Adam, even Pulis… lol
No to both but we won’t be in the CL anyway will we…
It’s looking doubtful, but I doubt few care too much.
Wenger doesn’t, he’s pretty much said so…
We need an edit capability, or maybe i should check what I post before posting hahahaha
He will go 🙂 🙂
Rico. Wenger doesn’t care?
About not being in the CL Adam, no. He said it’s not a big deal apparently.
Financially of course…
Oh. Nice to know anyway. You might have thought that we would hear from Ivan Gazidis during our current crisis. Then again, perhaps not.
Watching highlights of other games and I see plenty of goals scored from outside the penalty box.
Aaahhhh.
How refreshing.
Ivan who???
If ever he should be speaking to the media and fans, surely it’s now-if he’s allowed to, of course
What can Ivan Gazidis say though? ‘I’m so sorry to have to tell you all but the senile one is staying for another season because we the board have not proactive enough to find a replacement…’
There ya go, Rico, you can be his speechwriter 🙂
Morning all and evening Scott !
So Pulis has revealed Wenger told him he is staying !…………………if true, I have a theory about this !……………………………obviously Wenger is thinking like me !……………he see`s that we wont be in the CL next season and possibly not the EL, so he`s thinking…….”I can do a Leicester and Chavski and just concentrate on the Emirates Cup !”……………………………….” I may even get us in the Top 4 again and bow out with my head held high !”
http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11670/10808486/arsene-wenger-wants-to-stay-at-arsenal-says-tony-pulis
LC, 2 plus 2 equals 5 🙂 🙂 🙂
Rather he win the Cup and wave goodbye.
That’s the very best scenario he could hope for now, I’d say.
Meanwhile !…………………………Ox gets his priorities right !
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-4330480/Perrie-Edwards-locks-lips-Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain.html
I`m talking the real Emirates Cup at the Emirates, not the FA Cup imposter one ! hahaha
Hahahahahaha
Better see which sides from Liechtenstein are coming before we start getting to cocky!!!
That’s an old photo Lc…. lol
Rico. Perhaps he could do his job. If the club really have been caught short over his continuing failures then that goes against the spiel that Ivan has been spouting for ages. I would ignore Pulis myself. He must be loving all this unrest as he hates Arsenal and despises Wenger.
The damage that Wenger is doing to his own dignity is incalculable as far as I can see and for a man like him, that must be painful. He could just about salvage some though if he made the announcement he is living and asked the fans for their support for the remainder of the season. I believe they would do that.
Adam. What is his job? I haven’t a clue as we barely hear from him. Me too re Pulis, Wenger is hardly likely to tell a bloke he doesn’t like where his future is…
Said the same a while ago too. Tell us he’s going and then the fans will get off his back as there’s no point in protesting. Perhaps that’s what he’ll do during this break in hope that a last ditch push will get his team up the table a bit…
Another thing too if he tells us he’s off. The players will be wondering who is coming in and they might raise their game to impress potential candidates…
You’re right, Rico, but how ridiculous is it that players need an incentive to play better.
50k a week would be incentive enough for most of us lol
I said weeks ago he should make an announcement if he was leaving but some thought we’d go down the track of City last year.
I agree with you that it’d be a positive in this case.
Agreed Rico. When you are looking at the club at its lowest ebb, like it is today, it is tempting to envisage massive changes to the playing staff. Personally there are only 3 players that I would be disappointed to lose.
As for Ivan. I believe he is responsible for the day to day running of the club and having a plan for the future. Now there’s a laugh for a dull Monday morning.
Well Scott, I understand why players are really low and struggle to perform, certainly now. Look how most of us feel and we aren’t inside the club having to go through the motions or listening to the same old boring stuff in training or on match day…
To be fair, I think most of us have wanted to know his decision for a long time now, as it’s got so bad and a leave rather than stay…
Three Adam, I’m struggling to get beyond two…. lol
Ramsey and Giroud?
Rico, the players are in a position to do better on the pitch.
How many can hold their heads high?
Not many, of late.
Right now, i’d keep Kozzer, Ox………..Hector…….
Trouble with our guys is a month ago, it easily could’ve been 3 different players and a month from now???
Ha ha Adam.
They could do better of course Scott, but there’s clearly a reason they have all dipped in form, barring one of two of course…
I`d keep Sanogo as where he is now he aint doing any damage !
Arsene needs to put us all out of our misery.
LC, Yaya will come in at the death and save us from missing top 4!!!!
New post up.
Maybe we should try a different strategy with Arsene !…………………….let`s praise him sarcastically instead !
“You`re a tactical genius !”………………………….”your substitutions are amazing !”…………………………….”the way you can change a game with french aristocracy!”…………………………….”your so modest about the bad luck you had with players you didn`t buy !”………………………………………………..” No Arsene that`s way too much to want to pay Kante, let Chelsea have him instead !”……………………………….”2000 games as a manager ?………..it only feels like yesterday that you revolusionised our game !”…………………………………..”I bet you want some ear defenders to stop listening to Steve Bould advise, he does`nt shut up does he !”
