Wenger confirms he's not looking at others……

Morning all…

The new robust Arsene Wenger carries on:

I don’t mind if Tottenham losing will have an influence or not. And I don’t care about that because I care about our results.

We do not have to look at other teams. We just want to focus on how we want to play and to win our games.

That is all we want to do — focus on ourselves, win our games and continue to play the way we play.

With the same spirit we can go from strength to strength in every single game. That is our target.

I have said many times, there is no room for dropping points. But there is room for winning points and that is what we want to achieve.

Spot on Arsene!!

Stop worrying about others, stop talking about others, stop talking, period!

Work hard and secure that Champions League place, simples!!

That hard work has to continue today, Norwich at home should be a home banker, but it won’t be if players think it’s won before they put their kit on..

Both Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott are set to return from the injuries they supposedly suffered last month. Per Mertesacker is suspended, while Tomas Rosicky is rated 50/50 having suffered a hamstring problem.

For Norwich, goalkeeper Mark Bunn is doubt so Lee Camp could step in  – both of course are on call after first-choice John Ruddy has been absent.

Match Facts – You know you love them….

Head-to-head

  • Norwich beat Arsenal for the first time in 10 attempts last October when Grant Holt’s goal gave the home side their first league victory of the season. They have never won this fixture home and away in the same season.
  • Arsenal are unbeaten at home in this fixture since a 4-2 defeat at Highbury on the first day of the Premier League in August 1992.

Arsenal

  • The Gunners have won six of their last seven league matches, a record matched only by Manchester United.
  • Arsenal are yet to lose a Premier League game in which they have taken the lead this season (W16, D2). They have only dropped four points from winning positions.
  • Arsene Wenger’s side have the best second-half record in the Premier League, outscoring their opponents on 17 occasions and only being outscored twice.
  • There have been more Premier League goals scored at Emirates Stadium than any other ground this season (59: 39 for Arsenal, 20 for the visitors).
  • Gervinho has scored two goals and assisted three in his last three league appearances.

Norwich

  • Norwich are winless in their last five league matches, and have only managed one victory in their last 15 (W1, D7, L7).
  • The Canaries have won one of their last 18 away matches in the league. They have earned just two points from their last seven away games, scoring three goals and conceding 15 during that run.
  • Only Stoke and QPR have scored fewer goals this season than Norwich (30).
  • Grant Holt has only scored once in his last 14 league and cup appearances, and twice in his last 23 games since netting the winner against Arsenal in October’s reverse fixture.
  • Norwich’s remaining fixtures are: Reading (h), Stoke (a), Aston Villa (h), West Brom (h), Manchester City (a).

As far as the end of the season goes, and that fight for top four, today is huge.

We can, if we beat Norwich jump up into third place.

If this lot really do want all that they tell afc.com they want, then they will turn up, then will be the team first out of the blocks and they will despatch Norwich in a fashion most fans believe we should….

That’s it for another day, have a good one all….

    Morning all…

See you at KO time hopefully, taking Fido out to a show 🙂

For those going, hope its a cracking game with plenty of goals for the good guys…

Catch up in a few hours..

  2. tsgh says:

    Morning all,

I may be alone on this but I am always worried when we are about to face a team managed by William Gerard Hughton. A gent he is but he has AW’s ‘number’ but hopefully who ever comes in for TR07 should work hard.

Hopefully the fear of SYG in the stands at the Grove will put the fear into those bunch of bottlers…

We need all hands on deck if we are win most of our remaining games and finish above the scummy jammers down the 7 sisters road. welcome back JW10 and Theo…

Mr Ak, thanks for info on Jebb, i had high hopes for him as I thought he saw his game through a different eye to JW10…

He thought his style of play was more similar to Ozzy Ozyakup and Conor Henderson.

I guess some win and others lose…. Jack won because he was English whilst Ozzy was arguably better but had to leave…

  3. southyorkshiregunner says:

Morning all. At the emirates. Just passed edu with some literature in his hand walking over danny fizman bridge…. He is director of football with corinthians…. Last summer we were allegedly in for paulinho….. Denilson is to be released by san paulo…. Or maybe he’s scouting gervais????

  4. agirlagunner says:

Boooooo!! Hello, all! Come on Arsenal!! Keep on winning! I certainly hope our boys don’t take Norwich lightly.

  5. ozgunner10 says:

hello agag – me too, huge incentive to beat this lot and their form is woeful so fingers crossed we see some goals!

  6. tsgh says:

    Hey SYG… I wish I was there too…. I don’t have a ticket so will be ‘f5’ing my video link…. just don’t score Yao Gerv … 😀

    Have fun …

    Hi Agag…

  7. Micko says:

    Morning all,
A 4-2 defeat in 1992 you say rico, didn’t we have a 10 man ruck on the pitch that day, we loved a scrap back then, SYG over to you.

  8. southyorkshiregunner says:

I was at the baseball ground the week after the 10 man ruck… We won 4_3 dixon scrambling home a missed pen… We beat derby 3-1. Campbell and hayes scored – think….

  9. Micko says:

Howdy Tsgh, yeah I was on the run for a while but it’s all good now, always said I’d be back in time for the big push for Europa.
A win today and again on Tuesday and the scum will be shitting themselves.

  10. allezkev says:

    Afternoon Gooners
Afternoon Rico, a good chest-thumping post.
Now go and get those bloody 3 points you Gunners.
    Minimum changes IMHO.
    Verm in for BFG.
Podolski in for Rosicky, who should be rested as we’ll need him for the rest of the season.
Santi can go central again, Gervinho should continue after a good game at West Brom.
Jack and Theo on the bench to be eased back into the fray.
    Off to read comments

  11. useroz says:

It’s same old same old for wenger…not looking at others even when preparing for games!! That’s why our team is inept in tactical plays.

  12. Scott from Oz says:

    Evening all.
Ater a very, very long day, i will do my best to keep my eys long enough to watch our lads destroy the canaries, but no promises to be made.
    It’s been a long season 🙂

  13. allezkev says:

Sorry Agag, been a bit busy.
Yep, I’m going with Adam, I have to keep him calm as he has a habit of becoming a little vocal. The language can be quite ripe at times
    I almost blush… 😉

  14. allezkev says:

Benfica look set to win the UEFA Cup.

What a wonderful club they are…

Everyone in Portugal will be cheering them on, won’t they JM..?

  15. tsgh says:

Yes, so I hear. A lot of people will be pleased. But as JM always says JW10, SC19 and Ramsey does not work… the fall guy will then be poor old Aaron…

  16. rico says:

Think so Kev, quite a few clubs are interested in signing him… Say hi to Adam and Mrs Adam please and enjoy the game…

    Rosicky out then I guess…

  17. rico says:

    SUBS

Mannone, Jenkinson, Monreal, Coquelin, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Podolski

    ARSENAL TEAM

Fabianski, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey, Cazorla, Gervinho, Giroud

  18. agirlagunner says:

Boo!! Enjoy, Kev, Adam, Mrs Adam rico, how was the show? And the HHCC to-do? 🙂

Vermaelen? Hmmm. Poldi still on the bench.

  19. agirlagunner says:

So many Podolski is leaving rumors… Come on, now! He has been with us for barely a season.

  20. tsgh says:

2 weeks ago Kozzer was not fit for 5th choice even though Barca wanted him last summer… it has been the case since 1999 before Anelka was sold… the spuddie journos are the source.

Like Keown asked recently why is the press not asking Bale is too big for the guys down the lane…

  21. joaquim moreira says:

allez, 5 millions love them and the others 5 million hate them..
I belong to the last ones. awesome!

  22. ozgunner10 says:

the opinion differs, the colours never change, its showtime and we’re all in one corner once again – Come on Arsenal give em shit

  23. tsgh says:

Our midfield is too weak for the Canaries’s… Arteta has to keep an eye on Hoolahan.

TV5 and Kozzer facing a front 2 is always uncomfortable to watch in parts but both have pace to combat the threat of Kamara…

  24. goonster says:

  26. rico says:

Paulinho is a box-to-box midfielder who “is a strong and powerful runner, pushing his side forward from midfield to supplement his fine defensive work. Paulinho also offers a useful presence in set piece situations at both ends of the pitch.

Isn’t that the kind of player we all suggest we need?

  27. rico says:

Goonie, how are you? And how’s your wife doing?

Hi DG, you still very busy 🙁

Thanks for the link as always….

  28. agirlagunner says:

I know, ginge!! To be fair, we DO sell our best players. But when Wilshere was playing well, we also saw a rash of articles saying he is likely to go blah de blah.

  29. agirlagunner says:

Goonie! How are you? I hope Cassie is faring better. 🙂 Go to gravatar.com; you can change it from there.

Dutch, just in time. 🙂 🙂

  30. goonster says:

thanks ginge….how re you doing? i missed you guys like crazy. hey rico what do you mean by NOW?

  31. tsgh says:

pace of game too slow… I guess one or two players are stwpping on ech others foot making it difficult for MA08 and co. to find the offensive players…

  32. goonster says:

that stream is shit……..i cant seem to get it to work. come on guys what is the current score?

  33. tsgh says:

No doubt he is frustrating but doing that doing a game does no good… how does he play better away and flop at home…?

  34. rico says:

Fab thanks Ts, she had a few fun hours 🙂

Well I hope Wenger lays into that team…

    Jack looks a bit rusty…

Hope we see a changes within the first 15 mins if things stay the same…

  35. agirlagunner says:

Tempo’s too slow. Passing isn’t at all crisp. Too easily closed down. What’s our Plan B, Arsene?

rico, Reading is up against your “favorite team”. 😛 A few brilliant saves by McCarthy.

    .

  36. tsgh says:

Jack needs to play in the base of a midfield 3 with a DM playing further forward like Song did with him in Jack’s first season… him playing as the CAM never works… second half I bet AW will swap him and Ramsey and then all of a sudden he is the best player…

Positionally, JW and SC19 are always stepping on each others foot…

  37. joaquim moreira says:

    JW out. quickly.
    Podorslky is out of fit?
    Ox is fit?
JW is very slowly and don’t improve the game. We need another oepn linre in the front.

  38. rico says:

    No booing now goonie…. 😉

I thought we looked quite good, right up until it’s time to shoot, then we are dire.

Someone needs to grow a pair and pop a few shots from distance…

  39. tsgh says:

Jeez, I think we are being harsh on JW10 me in particular… its not his fault AW should not have started him.. and it is AW’s job to find a role that will suit young Jack if he wants to build the team around Jack…

  40. eastsidepaul says:

JW should not have been started, the team is so disjointed, no one knows where they should be at any one time.

I like Giroud, his work rate should be an example to everyone else on the pitch, but if Wenger is going to insist on playing 4-5-1 then Giroud is not the man for the job, we need a player who will score 30+ every season. Or we go back to 4-4-2 and Giroud can play along side another striker and both can get 16+ goals, one or the other..

P.s Gervinho! Sign him up AW! I think 120k a week would do him nicely!

  41. Lewis says:

Finally we are thinking about making a change. Very poor all game but only now we’re making a change. Gerv having a shocker, get him off. Wilshere having a shocker, get him off. Not rocket science.

  42. tsgh says:

Theo jogging whilst ball is still in the opposition penalty box… shocking he still deserves what he asked for…

  43. rico says:

Le Tiss praised the decision agag, but a bit of shirt tugging by both, maybe Giroud was tugged first 😉

  44. rico says:

    Great strike Podolski, great strike…..

This team really does put it’s fans through the mill….

    Game over…..

  45. tsgh says:

Theo offside… shocking what was he doing… won’t complain though.

Robson having a fit on the mic…

  46. agirlagunner says:

rico, Reading held Liverpoopie, too. 🙂

    goonie, I didn’t buy this pair. Too feathery/starletty. 🙂

    Ginge, hahaha on Robson. 😉

  47. tsgh says:

    Oh Delia…

AW is rubbish why is did he play Ramsey at RB when we were losing?

    I guess no DNA today…

  48. rico says:

Ts, when he came on, there is no way Wenger would have told him to defend. No way….

AW doesn’t do defending at the best of times, let alone when we need a goal….

  49. rico says:

    Wenger won that game today.

All three subs had a huge say on our victory…

Without those changes, we would never ever won in my opinion…

  50. goonster says:

thats a wrap………gotta go cassie needs me. good win you guys so glad my return didnt ruin it for y’all. hey if adam ever pops on later tell him am still waiting to be invited to old compton street.lol. later guys.

  51. tsgh says:

No one is talking about how the free kick that led to their goal was not a foul… the player tripped himself over…

  52. joaquim moreira says:

one hour playing with 10 …
Who did say JW is fit ?
And like I said since the begginning: Arteta-Cazorla-JW-Ramsey in the same team don’t produce and don’t improve.

  53. ozgunner10 says:

wow heart stopper out of what should have been a formality but three points it is and on we go

  54. rico says:

JM – I have to disagree. By the time half-time came, we could easily have been 3 or 4 up, IF we had players who knew how to finish..

But, Jack wasn’t at his best, well fittest…

  55. joaquim moreira says:

    The referee is so bad…
I don’t understand how can Norwich goalkeeper spent so much time.. The ball is off from the right side and he shots from the left side; in the penalty, Norwich defender was not booked;Arsenal third goal was off-side., etc.

  56. joaquim moreira says:

rico, we had the first shoot at the 32th minute…
We had, sometimes ,75% of ball possession in that period.
Norwich hadn’t one shot in the first half and nobody understand why we weren’t up.
JW was completely out of the game, injury, probably more injury (Norwich team understand that…),. giroud played back to the Norwich goal, Gervinho was the only player who were able to speed the game, no shoots outside the area, no speed and we must running for the score when we were in defeat, 20 minutes to the end and na importante match next tuesday.

  57. tsgh says:

Gerv is frustrating but he is the only player in our team who has 2 players marking him when ever he is near the opposition penalty box whenever he plays… if he isn’t on the pitch opponents target SC19…

  58. tsgh says:

Ramsey…Beastly performance from the Welsh terrier. Steadily improving since he’s returned to midfield. My MOM.

  59. emma says:

Ramsey MOTM. Wilshere off pace. Surprised Wenger started him. Good precious 3pts.
There are zero scum pts in the gap

  60. rico says:

I thought Fabianski did really well Oz, at 1-0 he made a couple of crucial saves to keep us in the game…

  61. agirlagunner says:

JM, I agree. JW wasn’t at his best. He’ll get there, but it is crunch time, and maybe he should not be starting. We have a fourth place finish to secure.

    Just 999 times, ginge. 😳

Goonie, you take care of Cassie now. Behave!! No skirt chasing!!

oz, there’s a song that you and Kev sing. 😛 😛

  62. tsgh says:

Hi Emma… its good the faithful are beginning to warm to Aaron… he made Martinez look like a 5M not a £35M player against Bayern …

  63. emma says:

Pundits are bleating about the corner that led to the penalty. But they are not bleating about the free kick(which wasn’t a freekick) that led to the canaries only goal

  64. ozgunner10 says:

Rico – big save for sure, he was steady today. The defenders were clearly to blame for their soft goal as well, wasn’t his fault IMO

  65. rico says:

Who gives a stuff what the media say, makes a huge change for that to happen for us and not against us.

Maybe now we need a bit of luck we are getting it, maybe we are simply earning it too….

  66. agirlagunner says:

Hello, emma. Your observation a while back that we don’t seem well-balanced with Wilshere on seems right. 🙁 But I’m still hoping he and Cazorla would work well together.

    Hah, ginge!

  67. ozgunner10 says:

agree Rico, not my motm either. I thought Arteta again was an unsung hero – he so rarely ever turns the ball over

  68. emma says:

Gerv does everything right until he gets to the final third and freeze. Hope Rosicky comes back for Everton. Wilshere was so sloppy in possession

  69. tsgh says:

Arteta was very good and a nerve of still to convert the penalty…but Arteta only plays well with Diaby or Ramsey next to him… 😉 that says it all…

The same way Terry use to look good next to Cavalho

  70. rico says:

Agree Oz, can’t blame Fabianski for the one we conceded…

Can blame many others for not scoring in the first half though…

  71. ozgunner10 says:

tsgh – Arteta only plays well with Diaby and Ramsey next to him?? I assume your joking mate – he’s a different league to both of them

  72. ozgunner10 says:

Rico – it was always going to happen, we have been giving it lip all week about starting fast, so you knew the opposite would happen hahah

  73. rico says:

emma – I too thought Jack had an off day, but for me that was about fitness, you can see he tries, but those legs just wouldn’t do what he wanted them to..

Gerv – he did a couple of good things imho, but as you say, when in front of goal he really was shocking, so so shocking….

  74. rico says:

Coq and Arteta maybe for Everton?

Someone has to stop the ‘Side show’ 😉

I’m off to cook dinner. laters….

  75. Judge me in May says:

Great win.. Norwich deserve all grievance for their awful play and time wasting ..
JW couldn’t put two passes together.. Fitness!?
Gerv back to his own self…
Theo is not the same player after he signed da ting.. Fitness!?
Ramsey worked hard.. Playing him this time as right back in the last few minutes made sense because a winger in Ox was put on.. Not the same as substituting diaby or JW for instance..
Giroud again hard worker but lacks quality in front of the goal..
Poldi was a bit rusty when he came on but got better and better..
    M. O. M for me is Cazorla…

  76. ozgunner10 says:

off to bed gooners as its approaching 1am. 3 points another 3 goals and the spuds fans still looking upwards in north london 🙂

  77. emma says:

JM – We really missed Mert. If we are really looking forward to sign a CB, we need a 6ft 3/4′. TV and Kos pairing doesn’t work. Any aerial ball into our 18 caused us loads of trouble. Mert should come in to deal with Fellaini aerial threat

  78. joaquim moreira says:

I’m happy with the victory but our fixtures until the end will be very difficult.
Our outside games are very difficult.
At home we play versus Everton, MU (the easy game…) wigan

  79. allezkev says:

    We’re coming for You,
    We’re coming for Youuui,
    Middlesex Hotspurs,
    We’re coming for You…

    Sing Up Oz…
    Fair dinkum… 😀

    Lata 🙂

  80. tsgh says:

We all want JW10 to be the next Kevin Keegan and win Euro player of the year etc… but people can think what they want… as Manure Robson and other people who know a bit about football all say he still has a little more to learn…. technically he is superb but tactically he is no where near some of the best young prodigies in Europe including BVB’s Leitner and Barca’s Samper or even Maher…

Just an opinion as always and not joking…

  81. tsgh says:

    AW on Lukas Podolski…

The luxury we have is to have Podolski, Walcott and Chamberlain on the bench. We have offensive quality on the bench at home, so once you get the team under pressure it is very helpful.

on Podolski’s role at the Club…
Look how he played when he came on. As soon as you have a player who doesn’t play for three games, the papers get a story like that. But he looks very happy to be here.
    on holding their nerve…

  82. tsgh says:

…. The Welshman could be part of the reason that Arsenal managed consecutive clean sheets in those games. Ramsey records a tackle every 28.6 minutes and an interception every 49.5 minutes in the Premier League this season, both markedly more often than Wilshere, who makes a tackle every 53.8 minutes and an interception every 68.5. What is more, Ramsey also keeps the ball more efficiently than Wilshere, with a pass success rate of 89.2% to the Englishman’s 86.6%.

  83. Judge me in May says:

    Tsgh,

Rambo played really well today, awesome display, and he showed a lot of improvement in the last few games..
However that doesn’t justify wenger insistence of playing him when he was really awful,
at the expense of players who were in better form, that cost us a lot of points..
I think his Come back could’ve been managed better without undermining the quality of the team.
Mind you that goes with many other players he insisted with in the last few years
any who well done today and QPR loosing made it even better…

  84. tsgh says:

Harry Houdini is clueless… I do not see Piers Morgan tweeting that Houdini should replace AW because of tactics now…

Quotes from the Kaizer and El amigio…

There are certain unwritten laws at the top of footbal

“One is that all the big name clubs have developed their own players.

“Homegrown footballers were later supplemented with some strong purchases. That is how it was for Manchester United in the 1960s, Ajax and Bayern Munich in the 1970s, AC Milan in the 1980s and RM and Juve in the 90’s …then Barcelona.

  85. tsgh says:

Maureen ho plays a defenders on the wings to combat the treat of n opposition player and he is called a genius because he wins 1-0…

  86. tsgh says:

Arsenal fan and golfer Ian Poulter ‏(@IanJamesPoulter) is pleased to see his side win: “Just landed in Orlando to see Arsenal had scored 3 goals in the last five minutes. Hahahaha what a result. @piersmorgan Boom Boom Boom!”

  87. rico says:

    I’m done too folks…

You all have a good evening, sleep well knowing we are third 😉

    Night all….

  88. potter says:

Home now , quick shower , log fire ,a couple of beers ,celebrations at my local norfolk pub tomorrow lunch. However 7 mins to go feeling like a drowned rat i was considering not going to work next week. The abuse from the carrow road effort was still going last week.

  89. Scott from Oz says:

    Morning all.
    Ramsey always plays well.
It is just that the constant ramblings of Ginge and myself have woken everyone up to it 🙂
Great result, though from all reports not a great performance.
I wasn’t man enough to stay awake and watch….a replay will have to suffice.

  90. Scott from Oz says:

    Judge me in May,
You MIGHT make a fair point, though i would disagree as i think he was played out of position and was in fact still playing well, but if he was out of form, how does a player find form sitting on the bench?
Especially a guy who not only was “finding form”, but trying to get his confidence back.
Maybe in 12 months time people will look back and praise Wenger for persevering and giving the kid the game time to get back to is best.
Yeah, like that would that ever happen 🙂

  91. gnarleygeorge9 says:

Ok rico, how about “Were you watching Tottenham” 🙂

I snoozed through the first half, woke up @ 0-1 restart after goal. Rewound the tele to watch the goal & then realised it was Norwich that scored, oh shit! That woke me right up. Obviously what followed was amazing.

    Anyway, definite penalty.

    COYRRR

  92. Scott from Oz says:

It was a great call by the linesman George, but still a gutsy one.
Credit to him….plenty would have stayed silent.

  93. potter says:

Walcott had been coating him just before on two decisions we didn’t get. Can’t help thinking that might have persuaded him.

The refereeing standard was poor. Did it show on the streams that everytime in the first half we had a corner on the left he went over and checked that the ball was in the quadrant which gave them all the time to get organised. However not once did he do it in the second half. Strange that it was in front of their supporters.

  94. ozgunner10 says:

haha its funny how we condone every decision that goes our way and slam every club that gets the same lucky breaks – the penalty was dubious to say the least and had it been given against us, the sh*t would have hit the fan on here big time

  95. ozgunner10 says:

oh and hats off to Arteta. That was one pressure penalty. I thought the keeper had saved it for a minute but he did his job again.

  96. useroz says:

We won but didn’t play well… no pace, penetration and shots till the subs came on.

It’s a stonewall pen…OG poised to shoot (left foot) and the defender pulled him down and the replay shows how far OG’s jersey stretched by the pull…so what’s the dispute esp by the jerk commentator? The fact that many refs/ linos ignored these fouls is for the FA etc to police.

If we don’t take chances properly in the final third for whatever reasons remaining games aren’t going to be easy at all.

Btw, Mert over Verm all day till either form changes. Verm was rooted and ball watching when Norwich scored…sell the guy.

It is funny how the Wenger knockers condemn everything that goes our way whilst blaming the man when things aren’t so good.
Some keep posting negative comments on Wenger and that is their prerogative, but if we stay positive, then that is ours!
    It is wearing thin.
    7 out of 8 wins.
If we had lost 7 out of 8, people would be bagging the shit out of him, yet winning 7 out of 8 has the same people questioning officials decisions, and the one on Giroud was a simple penalty…anyone suggesting otherwise is biased or blind.
Fair comments and reasoning is all i ever ask, but we keep reading the same things from the same people regardless of the results.
Sorry Oz, but i recommended you get on HH because it offers every angle of the argument, but you keep raving on about Wengers failings and that is it!
7 wins from 8…..what else can i say??
    Perk up mate.

  98. Scott from Oz says:

    Now it is Wenger’s turn.
Podolksi is a first 11 player.
    He is our best finisher.
Ox should start before Gervinho, and Theo.
Forget the favourites and politics, get it done!!

  99. ozgunner10 says:

uummm i was talking about fans like you Scott, not Wenger at all. I simply said had that call gone against us many fans on here would have gone ballistic and claims of discrimination would have been running wild – the linesman was miles away, they had hold of each other and the ref had a good view and never gave it – or did did that not happen on your TV? – I often praise you for your positivity as well, to me Wenger is washed up and i will repeat what i said 5 years ago… “he doesn’t have the know how to win anything anymore” I see a very poor season regardless of another spuds collapse but thats IMO

  100. ozgunner10 says:

i’d also say taking 85 minutes and a dubious linesman call to get back into it and an offside goal added for good measure – against a team without a win in 15 games did not fill me with faith in the silly “we get stronger” Wenger comments. I celebrated the win but do see a more complete picture, we were poor for 95% of that game. Again only my opinion
