Wenger back in for international defender. Mahrez getting closer? Goals galore expected at Anfield.

[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”] [et_pb_row admin_label=”row”] [et_pb_column type=”4_4″] [et_pb_text admin_label=”Text”] Morning all.

Goodness only knows what we can expect from this Arsenal team later this afternoon. Both sides seem to struggle defending but going forward, both Liverpool and Arsenal can be deadly on their day. We however do have a tendency to attack well but with little at the end of it.

David Ornstein has suggested both Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mustafi will be left out of the squad as both could depart this coming week and I believe it’s a similar situation at Liverpool with Coutinho. Although he’s alleged to be injured, as are Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne.

If both Mustafi and Ox are left out, I’m not really sure where that leaves us in defence unless Koscielny and Mertesacker are to line up alongside each other in a pairing we haven’t seen for a while.

Alex Sanchez could return after being declared fit and raring to go and I hope he starts together with Lacazette. That partnership could be a successful one. I guess Walcott or Welbeck will make up the front three. Saying that, in this fixture last season, Wenger opted for Giroud for his height although I think his selection had little to do with that. Alexis had been sent to the naughty corner more like.

One things for sure though and that’s how key the midfield battle will be. If we win that one, we could get a victory but lose it, we’ll seriously struggle imo. Perhaps Wenger will surprise us today and play players in their rightful position instead of shunting them around just to fill a gap as he did at Stoke.

It’s such a great shame, a travesty really that the season is up and running, the squad looks unbalanced, Wenger has been terribly unambitious in the transfer window so far and we lost against a Mark Hughes Stoke! I know we keep saying there’s time for Arsene to make a couple of big signings but the clocks ticking by fast.

Rumours suggest Mahrez could yet be an Arsenal player by the end of the week as Leicester are trying to sign Townsend before selling him. That then would mean Alexis Sanchez could finally get his move to Man City and his £400k a week which apparently he’s demanding from Arsenal. Meanwhile, The Ox wants £200k to stay at the club. Pff!!

Jonny Evans is back on the clubs radar according to The Mail. I guess if he’s good enough for Pep, he’d be good enough for us. Mind you, neither he or Wenger seem to focus much on the defensive side of the game…

Try and enjoy the game guys, there should be a few goals scored…..

Morning all from baking Cornwall and thanks Rico…………..this is was from last post, I have a knack for posting something when you “New Post” ! 🙂

Cant see anything one Ornstein twitter, Rico !…………where did you see the Ornstein stuff ?……..unbelievable if true !……..are we going to play Lacazette at CB ?

Wenger has seriously lost the plot !…………………….two years of empty promises, well apart from what he has promised Kroenke !………………………we really are on a downward spiral with the win double egotists at the helm !…………………………….kroenke the biggest evil, but I agree Wenger has to go first as at leats with another manager he might be able to get some verey decent players that we already have playing to their strengths !

I`ve no doubt we will on paper look the better team today, yet we all know Liverpooh will press us into submission !…………………………………..well;, unless our new 3-4-3 tactics thwart them, who knows ?…………………all I know is that when Wenger signed that new deal on the promise of change I was honestly excited about this TW, but I should have known better and I`m probably more depressed about the state of our great club than I have been for a long time !……………………..we are The Arsenal, we have a standing in the world of football that is unique along with only the likes of todays opponents and Manshafter from our league……….the stadium, the fan base, but like I said we have two egotistical dinosaurs at the helm and for that we are fcuked !………………….happy days !

When you consider that Internationals and European ties are taken into account when loading information into the fixture computer at the Premier League, isn’t it unlucky, or strange or conspiratorial that Arsenal are away from home in 5 of their 6 EPL fixtures following Thursday evening matches in the UEFA Cup, and just look at who were playing – Man City, Chelsea, Everton…. Fix? Stitch up? Unfortunate?
On the positive side if we progress in europe the EPL fixtures become more manageable.
Maybe winning the UEFA Cup, as the Mancs did, is our best chance of a CL place next season.
    Morning All.

  3. DB10 says:

Worried about the lack of ambition. How can we possibly be shipping all these players out and not be making major strides in the transfer market? It genuinely feels like we have surrendered. As for today’s game – either the usual debacle or the crazy win which sees our oft-unused cheque book tucked away for another year, with AW grinning with his ‘I told you so’ smile. As for Ox demanding 200,000 a week – I’d pack his bags for him, greedy bastard!

  4. Le Coq Monster says:

Manshafter with no goals conceded look to be doing things the right way…………………….sort the fcuking defence out if you want to win something !……………………………………….said it before………….what the fcuk does Gazidis do ?…….

it`s true some of our negotiating is like from a Turkish bazaar !.,………………………you can negotiate all day long and get a good deal on a family hatch back, buy theres car showrooms out there that you wont even get into unless you own a third world country, you have to [pay top dollar for top players…………………if Wenger himself says that Lacazette is a bargain at £50m?………..then surely at todays rates Dick van Dyke is worth the same if he tightens our defense up, but Wenger wants to pay Mary Poppins rates !………………………I`m starting to lose all respect for the once great visionary…………………..I could well lose it and call him something on the “Lee” lines !……………… hahaha

  5. Le Coq Monster says:

Why do people yearn for the end of the world? – The Guardian……………………………………………..just see that headline on newsnow and I haven`t read it as I know the answer already !……………………………………………………because Wenger is pushing us to that way of thinking!

  6. rico says:

But Lacazette is expected to score many goals Lc, whereas Wenger doesn’t seem to worry about his defence. It’s really school boy management/coaching when it comes to our defensive ‘plan’.

There’s a headline on NN which suggests City could throw a defender into a deal for Sanchez, now wouldn’t that make it easy for Wenger? Another Cole deal where we get an average player in return..

  7. Kel says:

400k to sanchez i say sign him up, what would it cost to replace him. 80-120m

you can always sell next summer and imo we’ll be midtable without him, it’s not ideal but it’s where we’re at due to Wenger and gazidis.

200k the Ox, Nah sell and get draxler.

Can see nothing other than a Liverpool win today tbh…

Arsenal have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 20 PL away games…

We might sneak a draw if Alexis and lacazette are up for it…

  8. Goonereris says:

By the logic of the Ornstein tweet, then Alexis won’t be playing today. It’s all up in the air now and we can only wait to see who is named and who is left out for all the rumours to make meaning or become nonsense.

I expect a win today; not wishful thinking, but studied consideration.

  9. rico says:

Not if Wenger really is planning to let Alexis run down his contract, in hope throughout the season he might change his mind…

  10. Goonereris says:

Ozil will come good today. Alexis is playing and it is not as if he is as bad as the media and pundits make him out to be. He does do some great, but unappreciated (to the untrained eye) work.

  11. Le Coq Monster says:

I`m with Kel………………………..and I said it a long way back, but given whats happened in the last few weeks ala Neymat……Dembele ( a decent version of Sanogo)…………….. I`d definately give Alexis £440kpw……………………………….we`d have to spend £150M to get someone on his level…………….4 year contract = £83.2M……………………………………give Ox…..£200kpw aswell……………£41.6M for n4 years………………Kyle Walker went to Mansour City for more !…………………………….it`s all about the maths……………………..season before we got £100M from EPL……………………….last season £140M !……………how much end of this season ? £200M ?…………………………….

  12. Le Coq Monster says:

    Beaches !!!………………………………..all around me !……………………….and I deliver to them all……..Sennen Cove my favourite !……………………………….Lifes a Beach !

  13. Le Coq Monster says:

My dream is to build a contemporary wave roofed full sea view house and call it …………………..Lifes a Beach .

  14. Le Coq Monster says:

Ozil is as skillfull as they come, runs a lot further than people think, but just cant tackle !…………………………….give him £400kpw ! ……………………plus a £1 if he tackles ! ……..hahaha

  15. Le Coq Monster says:

No doubt Rico, but although I love the seaside……..I`m scared of the water !……I hear enough on the local radiop every day about how someone has got into trouble from all manner of things , so I prefer to go aound in my smugglers flexing the 6 pack and kicking sand in someones face ! hahahahaha……………….always on the look out for the odd Spud tattoo !

  16. Le Coq Monster says:

As for the line ups it`s what I said earlier………….we will have the better team on paper, but it`s not played on paper !

  17. Kel says:

Horrible Rico.. I know the odds are stacked against us at anfield anyhow..

But in all honesty we’re very very poor we could be 3 or 4 down…

It’s just groundgog day all over again….

  18. Kel says:

I’ve news for the Ox he won’t get in that Liverpool team…

    Ramsey, Ozil, Ox, Xhaka, monreal…

    Absolutely shit.

  19. goonster says:

Just tune in to see the dippers 2 up. Lord God in heaven not another season of this. Please make it stop. Make it stop.

  20. rico says:

Add Bellerin Kel, he’s benn poor too.

Agreed Adam. I thought Wenger would struggle to get past Christmas but on this showing, perhaps the end of September might be tricky…

  21. rico says:

    It does Adam…

Sourness is right, even though I hate him. We have been watching this Arsenal make the same mistakes for the last ten years.

    Henry made me laugh though..

  22. goonster says:

Sorry rico he ll be here for the duration of his contract. Who ll fire him? Gazidas?? Give me a break.

  23. rico says:

The best scenario might be a hefty loss, Wenger walks, Ivan and Bould make the required signings and then go and get Tuchel. He’s out of work isn’t he? ?

  24. rico says:

Disagree Goonster. The pressure will get to him, it’s so early in the season he won’t handle it this time imo.

Good point Kel but some of his mistakes have been school boy… he’s not alone though.

    Thank goodness, Ramsey is off..

  25. Bob John says:

Ox wants to leave so he rewards him by playing him a putting Bellerin on thd left whilst Kolasinac sits on the bench! Send in the men in white coats there’s a maniac on the loose!

  26. goonster says:

We re a dying force. A leeds United. Sorry guys but this is not good for my heart. Am taking a back seat from arsenal. So sad to see a once powerhouse of football reduced to this. Am so distraught.

  27. andrewh1313 says:

Bellerin is being played out of position. Ditto Montreal, ditto Chamberlain. Ditto Sean, oh hang on a minute, he’s on bench. So is Mustafi who was meant to solve our CB problems. Welbeck in place of Laca? Oh I give up, why should we care, most out there don’t.

  28. goonster says:

Rico you wanna bet??? He ll be here for another 2 years and longer. He’s got stan eating out of his palms. Gazidas is a prick. Dont even get me started on the rest of the toothless board.

  29. andrewh1313 says:

I guess the only good thing is the 50 percent of away fans who actually travel to watch this and proclaim Wenger is the Messiah are getting what they deserve. Harsh on ticket paying fans, but those that fought and shouted down last seasons dissenters will live to regret it.

  30. potter says:

New tactics few Wenger. Subs on the hour, brings on two forwards but it’s the midfield that is losing this match.

  31. Kel says:

And bring on his 50m striker now rico when the game is over lol ffs somebody put the man outta his misery..

No more respect for Wenger whatsoever I hope he’s hounded out…

  32. Adam says:

Rico. This what clubs have a board for. Taking the tough decisions. The idea that Wenger can take the club through this season, let alone two seasons is surely preposterous. If the board sacked him I imagine the fans would be behind it. Most of them anyway. 🙂

  33. Meerkat says:

Oh dear. Oh dearie me. Second best in every department. Our build up is slow, slow, quick quick slow, only without the quicks.
Klopp is a top top manager, Wenger isn’t. I fear he has lost the dressing room and is unable to motivate. He certainly doesn’t have a good rollicking in him, which is what was needed at half-time.

4-0 flatters the goon show i’m afraid. Our little darling boys don’t like it up em, or up north. They don’t like the weather, the food and they don’t speak the language. They are celebrities, get them out of there!

  34. Kel says:

Two clubs one with a vision and a manager with a plan which the supporters can get behind.

The other a club has no idea what it’s doing all it’s best players want out and a manager who has no idea what he is doing.

  35. rico says:

Agree Adam. I hope Chips and Ivan are sat together watching this… If they aren’t careful this club will be in the gutter. Right now we look like a team heading for relegation..

  36. Meerkat says:

As Gary Neville said, amongst other things, three or four players want away, but who would want them on this showing? No-one came out of this with any credit, no-one.
It looked slightly better after the subs arrived, but we still conceded another one.
    Can it get any worse?

  37. West Sussex gooner says:

Well that was embarrassing if Wenger thinks we can challenge with this squad i want some of what he’s smoking absolute shambles ????

  38. ScottfromOz says:

    What a mess.
Can we all have a nap and wake up at seasons end lol
Our two signings have looked sharp during the preseason yet neither start?
Some tough decisions need to be made but guess what-there’s nobody with the brains and/or balls to make them!!
The entire place is a shambles, and maybe we need to hit rock bottom before anything will change.
Rock bottom can’t be too far away now!!!

  39. Kel says:

Adam… I question myself all the time. whether it’s work related or home life… And I’ll adjust myself etc to improve etc….

So that’s why i ask it, just what is in the man’s head, does he think today wasn’t really anything to do with him? Not even a shot on target.

If Anyone at Arsenal could tell me how this club is improving I’d love to hear it…

If Wenger thinks he’s good enough for this club is love to hear why.

This club is in serious danger now of collapsing.

  40. Le Coq Monster says:

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…….no surprise then, half decent squad, clueless manager !………….Wenger`s current 3-4-3 system has already been found out, he needs to copy someone elses system now, may be Maureens defensive one, you know, the one when you make your teams hard to beat first and foremost…………………….5 rivals in CL…………months to prepare new signings and contracts (Years for that one ) and same shit served up again !……………………………wish this site had a load of AKB`s on it…………..I`m dying for a good laugh at their defense of him ! ………………but as previously said, he doesnt` know how to play against high pressing or in your face teams !…………..cant wait for EL to watch the youth with no stress…………..hold on a sec`…he`ll now probably play the 1st team in that as it will be now considered his best chance of CL ! …………hahaha…………I laugh as it is genuinely pathetic……………

  41. Le Coq Monster says:

Even the Spuds consistant failure to win at Wembley cant raise a smile in my face……….instead, if I could find a Wenger mask to wear I would slap myself to within an inch of my life with my Arsenal slippers !.

  42. DB10 says:

No passion, no pride, no possession, no points – no point! Sack Wenger and get rid of Kroenke or watch us disappear into the Championship.

  43. Adam says:

It’s time to apply the ‘Pulis Test’ which states that if your club would do better under the managership of Tony Pulis, you should sack your manager.
    Would we?

  44. ScottfromOz says:

Adam, they’d do better under my management, so it’s a resounding yes!!!!
    Pathetic.
Players not playing for the manager surely is the death knell, but it’s hard to recognise that from Texas.
We are treading water, but there is nothing in site to suggest change will come.
He won’t quit, Stan won’t sack him-we are absolutely fukked, ATM.
Sell any player not wanting to be there.
    Give the kids a crack.
Buy ANYONE with heart, because we lack it and as we see time and again, talent alone doesn’t make a footballer.
    Onwards and upwards?
    No chance.
Unless some miracle occurs, and quickly, 6th or 7th is the best we can hope for.
The bank account is healthy, though!!!
    Night all.

  45. Adam says:

Rico. It’s a sickening thought but I know what you mean. You can practically feel the pall of gloom and despondency hanging over the club. It’s becoming physical.

  46. rico says:

Adam, that just shows how bad things are. If I was Wenger I’d take a long hard think about the club and not himself. If he loves the club as much as he says he does then he needs to realise that he is the one ruining it… Just be open and honest with the fans, admit he can’t take the club any further and walk.

  47. micko says:

I can understand Lacazette not starting, it’s been a long season and the Leicester game probably took a lot outta him.

  48. andrewh1313 says:

I thought I’d had enough but watched what Souness, Henry and Carragher had to say. Cheered me up a little, the scathing criticism of whole club, the bottling of new manager in the summer, the coward players etc etc.

Then Neville comes on to say he believes AW is right manager and deserves respect…….
He did say all 11 players should be transfer listed!

  49. kelsey says:

I think there is a grave misconception that Arsenal are an elite club.Great heritage indeed but now one that has fallen from grace and has been in a gradual decline, which has now escalated beyond all proportions. The consequences could be huge

That performance ranks as one of the worst in recent years in some ways even eclipsing the 8-2 defeat at United.

No more excuses,International break is upon us, forget the transfer window with regards to buying, let those go who wish to leave but Wenger owes it to himself and the fanbase to resign,NOW.He has run out of excuses. It’s sad but to me the only solution.

  50. rico says:

The club is elite imo, it’s just hit a brick wall but once those bricks get taken down, it’ll be back up where it perhaps should be.

  51. Obi says:

I have learned my lesson, going back to last season, when the line-up is announced, that’s when I decided to watch the game or DVR it and go out and do something….. When I saw the line up today, I left the house….. because only a lunatic puts out that team considering the options and the opponent.

  52. Alex says:

Le prof said in the second half we dominate the game…..lol

We are dealing with a complete deluded man.

I believe players are revolting on him and do not want to play for him.
Club not able to sell all the dead woods that he allow them to sit in hefty salaries.
The little mediocre one refusing to extend their contract .

Is panning nicely the end of the once respected man converted into a dictator.

I am very optimistic that his end is around the corner because :

Le prof knows only one tactic and that is based upon ball possession.
He do not have one single player that can save his skin
Transfer window remains few days and i do not think there are quality midfielders available or want to play for him except with outrageous salary and very doubtful the board will back him.

I believe we are seeing the end of Le prof

  53. Meerkat says:

I would say, without a shadow of a doubt, that was the worst I have seen Arsenal play in the EPL. Usually when they lose, there are a couple of positives to draw from it, but today there were none.

I fear mid to lower in the league this season. Yes Wenger must take the stick, he selected that shower, leaving out the new signings. He misjudged totally the attitude of many of the players. He thought they’d play with pride for the club, run through brick walls, Wrong!
It only takes one or two bad apples, and the whole barrel goes rotten.

His judgement is flawed, as is his business head re transfers. He should call time on his career at Arsenal, and let someone else come in and try to gee the players up.
Sad to see, but he has been richly rewarded, so it could be worse.

  54. frednerk says:

    Evening Rico and All

Gary neville got hounded out of
    Valencia..You know The White Hanky’s.

So we all agree now..Arsene Out..Ha Ha.

  55. frednerk says:

The transfer Window is a waste of
time for us with him at the wheel.
How can any fan think ahead,if he
was half a man he would walk.
I’d be surprised if any of these fans
who have stuck up for Arsene to be
    given another chance and blamed
stan and gazza are realising it was
    a big mistake.

  56. Lee says:

Watched that fucking gutless typical Wenger managed performance in Provence, half time the French pundits said “Les mêmes erreurs!” How fucking apt is that (insert last 13 seasons)??

You’re way out of your depth Wenger, you’re a supposedly intelligent man surely this repetitive shit must sink in??? Fucking sitting there like a lemon as we are getting our arses handed to us on plate!! Embarrassing.

The squad is not a totally shit one, it’s good enough to compete with a few additions BUT you’re fucking finished so give another manager a crack with all the luxuries Stan affords you?

You’re holding Arsenal back you really are, played 3 conceded 8 and we could be losing 2 CB’s plus a RWB what the fuck have you done to counter these departures??

Our midfield is like a fucking sieve and has been for ages, by a beast of a LB and France’s top scorer and leave them on the bench??? Wtf the bloke must be ill or he needs sectioning, some of his tactical ideas are totally mental!

Just do the right thing you dinosaur!

  57. Lee says:

Fred it’s pointless talking about signing X,Y or Z as long as inspector clueless is in charge….players used to want to play for The Arsenal. Is that the case now, seriously?

Also did anyone expect us winning today??? I fucking didn’t not a chance…we were taken to the cleaners, carved open when ever they fancied it!

  58. Lee says:

Fred surely there can’t of been fans that thought we’d compete under Wenger this season….what’s the difference for the last 13 years?

  59. Le Coq Monster says:

Not going to get into a debate about whose worse between Wenger and Kroenke, but I can guarentee you that if we had an owner like Abramovich then Wenger would have been gone after our CL Final defeat !………………………..as I keep saying we have a win double at the helm……………..one is a egotistical penny pinching multi-millionaire who knows fcuk all about football tactics and the other is Kroenke !

  60. Kel says:

This week coming up is huge for this club… it’s absolutely imperative they sign defensive player’s… or it’s bottom half of the table.

Walk now Wenger and allow the club to use the international break to get a manager and a few ex players in to at least prepare a plan ffs and maybe we finish top 10.

Make an effort now to stem the bleeding or suffer the consequences of heavy defeats throughout the season

Walk now or be driven out of the club for being the most naive and arrogant manager in history.

  61. frednerk says:

I always have a bet on the game
but would never back against The
    Arsenal Lee
Anyway quick look at the our line up
I found a bet over 3.5 goals bitter sweet
    aye.

  62. Lee says:

LC the final say is with Stan BUT my bone of contention is could another manager make more of a fist of it than Wenger has done for 13yrs? Given the list of criteria Stan affords Wenger?

    Fucking 100% imho

  63. Lee says:

Kel pointless adding new players he doesn’t play the ones we’ve bought, he could have the Real team and not win the PL…. totally finished imo!

  64. andrewh1313 says:

We’ve been here many times. Wenger will regroup, saying it’s only a handful of pundits and half a dozen supporters want him out. And that to the detriment of the team.

  65. Le Coq Monster says:

Absolutely Lee, but another owner would have got rid of him, my nightmare scenario is Kroenke begging Wenger to stay on after this contract is up !…………………..mummy !!!!

I`m also absolutely convinced any of us on here could put better tactics together than Wenger, even my subuteo manager tells me we need to be a strong defensive outfit and he normally doesn`t say much………..actually he doesn`t speak at all ! hahaha

  66. Kel says:

I should say continue for the rest of the season with that backline.

We need a centre half and defensive mid now.

    Whether he stays or goes.

  67. Lee says:

Kel we can’t go into the season with Wenger…

Also Kel for me the midfield is more of an issue we are fucking pony in that department and this is why we concede so many goals.

  68. Le Coq Monster says:

Aparrently after 3 games into the season we have been leading for a total of 8 mins !…………………………………..what did I say about having a good pre-season ?………………..it fcuks us up for the real football season as Wenger thinks every thing is hunky dory after winning the Ems Cup and C Shield………………..we needed to have a shit pre-season to wake Wenger up……………………..thursday is TW deadline day and Wenger is still more thinking about who to ship out !……………………………….I wish we could ship Wenger out and Simeone in !

  69. Lee says:

Wenger will always do what he wants to do, never bows to peer pressure and in fact will do the polar opposite to show he’s in charge! My way or the high way….

  70. Le Coq Monster says:

I bet Maureen is laughing his pants off at the thought of Wenger`s defense !……………………….the irony is that Maureens defense is as tight as Wengers wallet !

  71. ScottfromOz says:

I wonder if Stan even knows the result lol
All I’m reading around the net and FB are people challenging AKB’s to defend Wenger.
Really, what is the point of that?
Will anything anyone says change our situation?
There are only two human beings on the planet capable of making change enough to give us any hope, and we all know that neither will.
It’s hard to watch this all unfold while having absolutely not a bit of control.

  72. Kel says:

We’re brutal in midfield Lee.. . We literally could have had 12 men on the pitch today and still lost..

    Horrible midfield offers zero protection.

Get the fucking Banners out now.. ?

  73. Kel says:

Scott I think it’s just frustrations m8 calling out the AKB’S and I understand it.. I’m angry at them to.

But calling them out will serve nothing at this point it’s probably just one of those things it’s part of the process..

  74. VCC says:

the last few seasons Ive been laughing at Wenger and his team, but after that abysmal showing I’m starting to get annoyed. He simply has to go. How can anyone be on his side after that showing…..no heart…no passion and no desire. Please Arsene Wenger, if you reading this, leave our club and let a younger guy take over. PLEASE. PLEASE, PLEASE.

  75. Hobart says:

Wenger never seems to learn from his mistakes. I’ve lost patience waiting for things to change.

Unless there is some ridiculous movements in the transfer market we are going to falter all season. By ridiculous, I’m mean about 12 out and 7-8 in. The squad is so imbalanced it’s crazy.

  76. ScottfromOz says:

Kel, I agree that it’s frustration, but it doesn’t achieve anything other than arguments, imo.
There are good and decent people, as well as damn staunch Arsenal fans on both sides of the argument, and we probably tend to forget that at times.
Anyway, i do hope Arsene signs some top quality players this week to give us some hope for next season, as I’ve already written this one off.
If he does that, and the club announces who our new manager will be next season, I reckon everyone would get behind him.
I would hate to see him sacked but even more depressing is the thought he probably never will be.
Who in the world has more job security?
It’s disgraceful that the manager of such a large club can be deemed irreplacable.

  77. Lee says:

“Unless there is some ridiculous movements in the transfer market we are going to falter all season. By ridiculous, I’m mean about 12 out and 7-8 in. The squad is so imbalanced it’s crazy.”

Who’s fault is current malaise within the squad?

  78. Kk says:

That was the worst performance I ever seen from an arsenal side for as long as I can remember ..it was worse than the 8/2 at old Trafford imo. .there is only one man responsible!
Shambolic team selecton to start with. .and the rest was just a horrific nightmare. .
    RIP arsenal indeed?

  79. micko says:

“If he does that, and the club announces who our new manager will be next season, I reckon everyone will get behind him”

Err Scott, don’t bother unbuckling your seat-belt mate, the next stop is Cuckoo Land lol.

  80. micko says:

JM, there’s nothing quite like a long walk on the beach in the morning to clear your head, I can’t wait !

    Nite Gooners.

  81. Meerkat says:

Arsene’s after match interview showed him to be a bumbling, incoherent, old man. He has aged ten years in three weeks. The stress can’t be healthy, and I feel sorry for him as he is so far out of his depth.

Gary Neville, that top top pundit, reckons it’s not Wngers fault, it’s the teams! Well they are pretty useless, but Wenger selected and coached them, so………

What other top teams will want any of them on the wages they are on at Arsenal?

  82. ScottfromOz says:

    Meerkat,
Apart from all the rubbish going on at the club, one thing is love to get an answer from is why the bloody he’ll Kolasinac isn’t being played.
That’s not the most important or influential call Wenger is making, not even close, but is so blatantly terrible, it needs justification.
If I didn’t know better, I’d swear he was sabotaging the joint!!!

  83. Wavy says:

Simple Scott Kolostomy is not playing because he has not yet, “learned how to play the Arsenal way”. By that the old has been means ‘he won’t do what he’s told.’ And so he’s dropped, same as Xhaka last year. He’s going to knock the aggression out of the thug at the back as he did to the determined midfielder. That’s the Wenger rway, make them smile and make them soft!
Wenger should be putting his memorabilia in a box before 9.00 am tomorrow morning having received his cards by special courier, but he won’t because have you ever heard of a man who has sacked himself? QED. We’re fckuing stuck with him. The board are so old their balls have atrophied, how can you be ris of an a parasite who earns £8.5 m per annum and has total control over every aspect of a multi million franchise and whose power is completely witless?
The club is going nowhere only ‘down, down deeper and down’. I never did like Statius quo! But that is what we’ve got must now. The old codger has reached the ridiculous levels of incompetence last seen during the infamous reign of Billy Wright I. The mid sixties! And, stack my vitals, he was truly incompetent. Believe me.

  84. potter says:

Ah but the Beverley sisters were great. Their pictures made a lovely bonfire all we needed was a few bangers a roll and some ketchup. But at least it woke the board up.

  85. gnarleygeorge9 says:

    WTF!!!!

First of all, I slept through the entire thing so I am completely oblivious as to what went on, which, by the sound of it, puts me on the same level as the manager. Arsene Wenger’s mind left the building long ago. They may as well sit a cardboard cut out of him on the sidelines these daze.

I feel for The Arsenal supporters I really do, but as for The Arsene supporters ………..?

  86. ScottfromOz says:

Wavy, someone, somewhere after the game wrote they’re numb ATM, and that’s exactly what I am.
    Angry?
Nope-it’s too ridiculous and unbelievable to be angry.
Wenger completely destroyed any chance we had last week and this week as soon as made his selections known!!!
You touched on it, but I’ll be careful with my wording so nobody thinks I’m defending Wenger, a part of the problem is there’s nobody upstairs (or in Texas) who knows anything about the game, or cares enough about the club to make the right call.
How things can get to this stage is beyond anything I could imagine.

  87. Wavy says:

Scott, with a huge amount of irony, when PHW said ‘we don’t want his sort around here,’ of Kronke, he was not wrong, although ultimately money talks, you know and lady Nina too, plus the jewellers wishes and, so, all the spoils went to the Walmarmart man, ( not his cash though!) and the rest is history. The new board are clueless and classless, ( who thought I could ever praise the led Etonians and harrowcians for their integrity and honesty and desire to succeed? Well…….?
The club is currently being run be a cabal of small minded unambitioue leeches, who look at the profits with the avaricious desires of a noughties banker! Actually with same failing fortune! The manager is an anachronism, he lost, his abilities in 2006. He has become an absolute waste of space and his ‘vision’ is that of a blind man without a white stick!
Where do we go from here? Fcuked if I know, but then again, im not paid £8.50m per, year! Need I say more? No I didn’t think so.

  88. Adam says:

Morning Rico. That’s exactly what Wenger would like us to do. 🙂
But we don’t need to read anybody else’s opinions do we?

  89. Le Coq Monster says:

    Mourning all…………………..again !

I`m changing my tune !.all along I have said that we need to keep the contract rebel 3 so to givee us a chance of winning the EPL whilst our rivals struggle in the CL, but I forgot about the Wenger Factor !…… a rubbish tactitian and skinflint, we wouldn`t win the league even if all the other 19 teams squads all suddenly died and they all had to play their U18`s !……………………………….so lets sell the rebel 3 and be the best football bank in the world !………………….we could start lending money to other teams to help buy our players !…………………………….for me it has to get drastically worse before it can get better as we are already out of the running after 3 fcuking games !!!!…………to get Wenger and Co out we need to think and support with our heads not our hearts !……………………..come on you Cherries and Chavs ( next two up )

    Wenger Out !

    Kroenke Out !

    Gazidis Out !

    Peckham Out !

    Chips Out !

    Way Out !

  90. Kel says:

?… we need men in this team actual fucking muscle they’re pathetically weak.

Tippy tappy bollocks, we need wanyama type.

I dread what utds midfield will do to this bunch of weaklings.

  91. Le Coq Monster says:

And as much as we hate Pulis !………………..does anyone doubt that he would have us more disciplined as a defensive unit ?………………………………………………….Simeone or a vagrant tramp for me all day long !………a vagrant tramps dog would organise our defense better and all for a Bonio !
