Wanyama watched again! We are on a high, but the neighbours are getting twitchy…..

Morning all,

Not much to talk about this morning other than poor old Celtic got battered 3-0 last night in their first of two matches against Juventus. According to reports, our chief scout was there watching Victor Wanyama again.

Celtic now need a miracle to go through to the next round.

Talking of which, with Mike Dean reportedly in charge of our fixture against Blackburn on Saturday, we might need one too.

When exactly did we last win a match with him in charge of the whistle?

Here we go again with the off field ‘stuff’ and as is so often the case, Walcott is the one to voice his opinion after the weekend’s victory:

It was an important win. The three points have us on a high and we’ve got a nice week now without any midweek game.

A lot of players are back from international duty and need a bit of a break. Some may be rested for the FA Cup game, but that’s just as important as we want to go far in that competition. If we lost [at Sunderland], we would have been dwelling on it for so long, so I’m glad we didn’t.

We’re very confident of finishing in the top four. We can battle through any sort of situation. The teams around us are winning as well, but we’ve just got to make sure we look after ourselves and try to win as often as we can.

We’ll see where we are at the end of the season but we’ve got to show the belief we did at Sunderland. I felt there were a lot of winners in that dressing room and the boys were fantastic.

Nice words Theo but as we all keep saying, let’s not get carried away, take each game as it comes and keep quiet off of the pitch. Let other clubs do the talking, we just need to keep on winning.

But of course he is right about having a lot of winners in the dressing room, it really was a team effort which secured those three points. A loss or even a draw would have knocked the confidence the players did have and as we all have said, a victory in such a fashion really does more for players than a easy 5-0.

So as we are gathering confidence, those very noisy neighbours are starting to get a bit twitchy and without Arry as well!

Well that’s according to their keeper Lloris. He reckons last seasons collapse is playing on the minds of the players:

For the minute, the season has been promising, but the hardest part is yet to come because there are still a number of key matches to be played and we’ll have to be ready for that.

For the moment, we’re well-placed, though we’re not beyond a possible charge by Arsenal.

Last season we were ten points behind them but managed to claw our way back and overtake them in the end and finish third.

This season, the deficit is much less, just four points separate us, in fact just nine points are between us and Man City in second place.

There’s a lot to play for yet this campaign, we may not end it with a trophy, but we could sure as heck end it with a lot of pride!

That’s it for another day, have a good one all……

  1. Scott from Oz says:

    Morning all.
I think our guys had every right to celebrate the Sunderland win, as it was an awesome performance, but the next day their focus hopefully switched to the next game.
Dean as referee truly is an issue, but plenty believe discussing referee bias is simply switching blame for poor performances.
Still, let us put three or four past Blackburn and even Dean can’t stop us.

  2. rico says:

    Morning all…

Stats speak for themselves when it comes to Dean Scott, as do our eyes. Annoyingly though, we sometimes play into his hands, like Kos did last game.

He and others will always throw the book at us when they can.

Like you say, get a few goals, and let nothing, especially Dean, stop us from winning.

  3. southyorkshiregunner says:

    Morning Rico.

LeGrove’s take on Wanayma is worth reading.

this is an example of one of Scottish football’s TOP strikers

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Stokes

Scottish football is on its arse. .. Celtic would struggle like hell in the Premier and for a promotion spot in our Division 2 (I loathe to call it the championship).

  4. ozgunner10 says:

agreed South – since Rangers event its a pointless com in truth – their lack of real competition caught them out as well against Juve. They were clearly off the pace

  5. rico says:

    Morning Syg,

I read it just now, not for us if Pedro’s review of him is right…

Stokes was once ours wasn’t he…

  6. devilgunner says:

Good Morning my Esteemed Fellow Gunners.

    Hiya Scott.

Nice article Rico. I saw the Celtic game last night……and also the PSG game on my laptop.

Why Wanyama???? I can easily conclude that Banega is better than him. Even though Valencia lost he was here there and everywhere. While Wanyama was invisible some of the time…especially when Celtic needed him most.

I also feel that AW should now buy a right back instead of Sagna. Bac was awesome as a centreback and AW would do no worse than switch him there permanently. I feel that even with his lack of height he would still do a great job.

  7. ozgunner10 says:

bit small for CB devil and the opposition will soon work that out – fletcher isolated and beat him a few times to headers – one game not really a good decider mate – he played there only because we had no other competitive options sadly

  8. rico says:

    Morning devil.

Did you see my post on switching Sagna?

I’m not sure our scout was there to watch Wanyama, surely we have had him watched enough by now.

Maybe one of the Juve players is on Wenger’s radar….

  9. ozgunner10 says:

good post Rico and what it highlights is the inconsistency of top clubs this year to put any sort of run together, United excluded.

  10. devilgunner says:

I know Ozzie, but Sagna could be used there as well against certain teams, especially those who do not cross.

  11. ozgunner10 says:

i think he might be now – he’s certainly and obviously ahead of other CB’s like Miguel etc and with limited numbers. He’s was a desperation move from Wenger clearly, although i remember him moving his purchased CB Song to cover a gap and look what happened from then on haha

  12. rico says:

Thanks Oz, I don’t even think Utd have been that good, they have just been able to take their chances.

We’d be up with them had we always taken ours. And we’d be in the CO Cup final…

That’s what signing a top quality striker does….

And what selling one did to us 🙁

  13. tsGH says:

    Morning all,

Neighbours getting twitchy? he he he even without blinky blink ‘arry 😀 They always do… they even as far as claiming Arsenal is not a north London club as we only moved to North London 100 years ago last week. lol. Jokers the lot of them.

Talk shite radio talking about how ‘physical’ the old lady of Turin were last night made my morning driving into work. I couldn’t believe my ears. When Stoke tread on our goalies toes during corners, the same folks allude to the points that football is a man’s game. Even when good old Owen UFC’ed arteta they proclaimed there was nothing in it and that M.Owen is never a dirty player…

  14. southyorkshiregunner says:

Stokes was with us … Went to Falkirk and was a massive success….

The press piss me off ….. Just because we had a someone from the club watching the Juventus v Celtic game means that we are watching the Kenyan playing for Celtic … ???

Maybe we were keeping tabs on Martín Cáceres or Paul Pogba or even Simone Pepe … All of them could make us better …..

… or maybe we were just keeping tabs on the game as … if by some miracle we turn Bayern over, we might have to play the winners of this game at some point…

We WILL definitely have someone in Madrid tonight … I wonder if the press pick up on the fact that Mourinho is to be our next manager … Or maybe we are scouting Ronaldo as we are in for a new right back and Wenger loves playing players out of position ….

  15. Canadian Gooner says:

Good Morning to the Lady of the House and our Gooners from Down Under.

From now on the team has to focus on the games one at a time and not look any further ahead. If they continue to play as a team and work for each other, I think we’ll can scrape by into one of the Champions League spots for next season. The F.A. Cup would be a bonus, but that depends more on how other teams play than the league. In the meantime I’ll continue to cross my fingers, keep a positive outlook, and chant the mantra “We can do it”. Hopeless optimism or delusional? Maybe, but the alternative is too depressing too contemplate. I need something more than the next transfer window to looki forward to.

  16. ozgunner10 says:

i saw a article the other day that had United less 11 points and us plus 9 points had the transfer not happened – hats off to Fergie i guess

  17. Scott from Oz says:

    Hi Oz.
I have been very busy at work which has me in bed early, so not a lot of posting of late, to the absolute joy of some, no doubt 🙂
    G’day Devil.
Wanyama a little over rated maybe?
Unless a player is a decent upgrade on what we have, there is little use worrying about them, imo.
Sagnas lack of height can be offset by the work of Giroud at set pieces, imo.
    Morning Rico, another top post.
Did Tommy Rogic get any game time for Celtic guys?
He is the Aussie kid who recently joined them.

  18. Adam says:

Morning Rico and all. Will Wenger be making the signings at the end of the season? If he does then I believe he will sign the contract that will inevitably be offered to him, CL or no CL. He won’t want to go through next season with interminable questions on a daily basis over his future surely. That would be destabilising for the club and would affect transfer negotiations with the next batch of last-minute panic buys.

  19. Scott from Oz says:

Oz, we had RVP last season and still finished a hundred yards behind Utd….i wouldn’t read too much into it, as Utd have a way of getting results, and they did so before he joined them.

  20. rico says:

    Hi Ts, that’s Talks***e for you…

Great minds think alike Syg, lazy lazy journalism to re-write that Wanyama story.

I wondered why Stokes never really got a chance with us, good old fashioned striker and he’s off.

  21. tsGH says:

The media have started to question ‘arry’s decision to sign Samba on 100k a week. Considering less than 2 years ago he was earning less than 5k a week at Blackburn… wow.

    Hi Scott

  22. southyorkshiregunner says:

    devilgunner says:
    February 13, 2013 at 9:58 am

Hiya Dev…. Ever Banega has always been highly rated and we were linked with him a couple of years ago …. how true this was I have no idea…. He has baggage though …. To see Wenger have to deal with someone who HAS a “personality” …. I just don’t know

  23. rico says:

Morning Cg, I’d rather they all just shut up about the run in etc and get on with playing their own game.

Let their boots do the talking for once and not their mouths!

Thanks Scott, no idea on Rogic. Thought he was going to Reading?

  24. W.A.T.H says:

    Morning All,
I see Lukas was getting the tour of London yesterday in AK’s cab…. Hope you didn’t charge him Kev…!
Not so keen on Wanyama either, he’s reasonable but we need top quality not average.

  25. tsGH says:

Dev, I was surprised how low in confidence Valencia were when they got into the final third against PSG. Your boy Pastore was on a different league last night. ‘Wagamama’ is over rated! even fFrimps playing for Fulham last week looked much better imho.

  26. southyorkshiregunner says:

    “Opportunity Knocks” Ginge …

QPR are a ticking time bomb …..

….Harry Redknapp will have his car ticking over ready to move into the managers seat at West Ham once David Gold can crowbar Fat Sam out of it

  27. tsGH says:

😀 Adam and you say I am the conspiracy theorist.. lol

Are you implying you are getting a good ‘wack’ of his salary?

  28. Canadian Gooner says:

Devil – I have to agree with Oz, one game is not the making of a CB, but it good to have that option. Sagna admitted he had been playing poorly and was obviously playing for his place. Shipping Santos out on loan may have sent the right message to some of our players who have been treading water.

  29. Adam says:

TS. You should know better than anyone that I can’t be cracked over that one. Although a properly-stored bottle of ’47 Cheval Blanc may loosen my lips 🙂

  30. tsGH says:

Hi SYG, Lmfao… if Gold is that naive then… good luck to him and Sullivan. I guess they went against their own words when they said that the previous Norwegian owners were not careful of the money now they have done the same and pissed of the ‘Essex Utd’ fans by contemplating a move to the Olympic stadium against their will.

  31. Scott from Oz says:

G’day Ginge, how goes it ??
Rico, Reading were in for him earlier, but he ended up at Celtic.
I am not sure of the reasons behind this.

  32. rico says:

Ts, his old club are laughing at Qpr for paying the release clause amount. Rubbing their hands together no doubt….

Hi Wath. I bet Ak wishes it was his cab, how good would that have been….

  33. SD London says:

Well i agree that the boys should focus on the game ahead and forget about the spuds . If it was left to me i will forget the Champions league and focus my energy on Blackburn and make sure we bulldoze them off the competition by playing our strongest 11.
I will sacrifice 4th place to win the FA cup right now , it will really change things only if Wenger can see beyond the paltry £30mil the Champion’s league qualification brings.

A trophy will give us momentum for the next season and i am sure the spuds will be chasing our tail next season and we might even challenge for the Premiership.

But hey what do I know, the arsenal ruling hierarchy always have different ideas.

  34. rico says:

I don’t know, but I don’t think he’ll stay beyond this current contract. Whether he leaves this summer or not is a different matter.

  35. rico says:

I reckon you are spot on about West Ham and Arry Syg, both teams will be in the Championship next season….

SD, said the same, but AW wants to win the CL. Shame he hasn’t assembled a squad capable to do so…. or at least to get to another final….

  36. rico says:

You are right Adam, July 1st 2014, what I meant was, if we get top 4, I think he will be tempted to sign a new contract.

If we don’t, I don’t know if he’d walk this summer, or just stay on to see out his contract and then leave in 2014.

He always says he never walks out on a contract….

  37. Canadian Gooner says:

If Arsenal truly had a scout at the Celtic vs. Juve game, I hope it wasn’t for Wanyama. He is a decent squad player, but we have enough stopgap squad players already. Those are the players we are deperately trying to get rid of. This summer we need to buy three or more top quality experienced players to give us a solid spine. We have had more than enough of the bargain basement cheap buys.

  38. ozgunner10 says:

Personally i have seen nothing to suggest he should stay, one panic buy after the Gibbs injury doesn’t tell me he knows what is required to close what is now a 21 point gap and neither do one goal wins against lowly stoke and Sunderland

  39. Adam says:

Rico. He also said a manager is impotent in the last year of his contract and any panic buys or 6 feet 2 inch African midfield enforcers are going to want to know who they will be playing for. Going into the last year will also bring hefty media pressure about the future and none of this brings stability. Mind you, he also said that he was going to bring in super class players during a busy January, so I guess we only have idle speculation. Again.

  40. tsGH says:

Not bad at all Scott, I am busy sorting out PDR’s for engineers I am in-charge of in my team etc and trying not to deal with finance’s BUT… lol

  41. tsGH says:

Good point Rico but according to Sky, Huddink was not pleased he was leaving. Also ‘arry saying that Remy is the wrong type of striker to have in a relegation fight made me laugh, considering he literally hijacked Remy from NUFC.

I guess he is being smart by making excuses already before he gets relegated. I have not heard from Piers Morgan lately projecting his views on AW.lol

Anyway, its QPR’s issue. Another club ready to go down.

  42. tsGH says:

Does anyone know what is happening with Kristoffer Olsson? I didn’t see him feature against manure reserves. Another promising midfield maestro who deserves a chance soon…

  43. Canadian Gooner says:

There has been a quiet ‘evolution/revolution’ this past year. Arsenal are not holding on to all of the youth players like they used to. Many of the scholars have been released and not offered a professional contract. The cull was the most severe in recent memory.

Many of our U21’s/reserve team and squad players in the first team have (Bendtner, Santos, Senderos, etc.) have been put out on loan when they couldn’t be sold. Some of the young professionals may have been loaned out to gain regular first team experience. However, I think most were loaned to put them in the shop window and lower the wage bill, if only temporarily. Arsene seems to be trying to clear the decks for something. Hopefully this is more than just an exercise to improve the bottom line. This coupled with some tough negotiations on contract extensions seems to indicate ther is a major team shuffle in the offing. If that is the case, I think Arsene will be staying.

  44. rico says:

And he is right to say that. I wonder what he told the five Brits who signed on recently, Santi, Pod and Giroud. And of course Monreal???

They must know who they will be playing for…

It would never surprise me if he signed a new contract this summer, but not before….

  45. tsGH says:

Is it not funny that Rednose has only won 2 out of 13 outings against Jose? So based on that stats who is the better manager?

  46. tsGH says:

Hi there Oz, how’s the ‘waterworld’ you are constructing in your home going along? lol

Some say ‘arry did it once with the spuddies 4 years ago so he could do the same with QPR.;) Considering he came to manage a team that had just been edged out of the CL spot due to the hotel food-gate saga with a very strong team even though Ramos was underachieving then. Additionally, he was ready to sell Bale for 3m until an injury forced him to keep Bale. He bought so many players around the £15M mark and refused to use them because they were mediocre (Jenas, Pallassios, Crotch etc) and now he has brought those same guys to QPR. You can’t make that up can you?Tony Fernandez must be smarter than that.

Only Harry can fabricate an alleged interest from Ukraine national team of all teams so that he can force more money before he signs a deal…

  47. Adam says:

Apparently ‘Arry, idle since his halcyon days at that club that used to play In Middlesex was playing golf and sleeping soundly in his mansion on Sandbanks, an area hopefully soon to be ruthlessly reclaimed by the sea. Word has it that he was up late one night wrestling with the vagaries of Internet banking in Switzerland and had enlisted the help of his dog Rosie who is a leading player in financial institutions across the continent. Suddenly an unmistakeable smell caught his nostrils and he began to twitch. This was not unusual but the compelling nature of this particular aroma was so bewitching that the twitch enveloped his whole blotchy face and his dozen chins began vibrating sympathetically. ‘Arry’s nose is the equivalent of a Divining Rod and he entered a trance-like state before climbing into his Range Rover, still in his pyjamas. Pausing only to give a window interview to the police team waiting to raid his home and search his financial records he set off, following the aroma like a pig follows the smell of shit. Some hours later he began homing in on his quarry and made the final turn into Loftus Road. Here at last was the source of the wondrous perfume that he had caught on the wind. Like a bloodhound he homed in and there it was, finally. The pockets of Tony Fernandes.

  48. Canadian Gooner says:

Adam – Than you for the chuckles your gave me. Harry, if nothing else and unlike his football teams, is always entertaining.

  49. rico says:

Agree Ts, let Qpr worry, and I hope they go down. For just signing Joey Barton a few years ago is a good enough reason…

  50. Adam says:

Rico. I have deep pockets and my arms are positively Pithican. Can I renew my season ticket please? 🙂
In fact I want to pay twice the asking price.

  51. ozgunner10 says:

tsCh – home stretch now mate – shower screens were a pain is the backside, so heavy but just fit a couple of taps, seal around the shower screens, add a mixer tap to the cabinet sink and we’re done.

  52. ozgunner10 says:

Be careful Adam, Arsene is known to use statements like that – world class team in a world class stadium and all that

  53. Wavy says:

Why are we talking about ‘arry the twitch, a low life eastender with connections to the underground?

Wenger and his future is a far more interesting topic. What wil he do?

Firstly he will not resign this summer, no matter where we finish. He is a man of loyalty, honour and integrity.

Secondly, if he is offered a new contract I think he will take it. He is a driven man, he had a goal (nopun intended), and that was to win the CL. He has got close, very close and has just now started proper rebuilding with that in mind, I believe. He will not leave until he is satisfied that he really has gone as far as he can, so he has a road to roam yet. So he won’t be going anywhere next uear either.

Thirdly, who in the name of all that is glorious is going to replace him? ‘Arry the barra boy? Or someone of his ilk? Or will it be an insider, the physio perhaps? We’ve had success in the past, why not again? A cleaner maybe? There aren’t many who would fit in to the Arsenal rhythms and boardroom dealings, honest or not! So think on!

We are stuck with Wenger for a few years yet. I am not too stressed by his continued presence, especially if he’s got his mojo back. One long, last hurrah ending in massive success will do me. I can wait . For a while longer, at least. However, when he starts dribbling then he will have to go!

  54. Adam says:

Wavy. On no-news days we indulge in idle conjecture and ‘Arry has become a kind of cartoon character. I envisage a Meet The Redknapps TV series to follow his exit as manager of QPR. The cast of desperadoes are already assembled. As far as Wenger is concerned I imagine that a new contract offer plus the massive impact of FFP (cough) will seduce him into a deal to remain.

  55. tsGH says:

The advert of his dog choosing wooney over vpursey says it all.lol

I am amazed he has not ‘PRed’ his way to manage the chavs yet. But then again as he says he is not a looker so he could not quite woo Marina G (Abrahamovich’s PA)

  56. Wavy says:

I thought only Parisian ladies could seduce Le Chef!

Tv sreies title – ‘arry’s barra or for the literateit would read, Harry’s borough! Not barrow! It rhymes with manor or mannah! -the tale of SIMPLE east end folk!

Whereas Wenger’s soap would be set in Paris among the cafe society, as befits the proffeseur, where he and his “family” would discuss the philosophy and ethics of the footballing fraternity, whilst shagging likex a rabbit in his apartment!

Marvellous. Any plot lines eagerly awaited?

  57. Adam says:

Rico. Bang on. Ex pop star, mother and housewife Louise does the washing up while son Jamie, resplendent in unfeasibly tight mohair trousers rehearses for the new Thomas Cook series of ads.
    “We look forward to it
    We dream abaht it
We select our unfeasibly tight trousers for it
    We lose weight for it
    We anticipate payment for it”

Nice work if you can get it. 🙂

  58. Canadian Gooner says:

Rico – Re The Osbournes: Harry makes about as much sense as Ozzy does. I wonder what Harry indulges in that dulls his brain so?

  59. Canadian Gooner says:

tsGH – Abramovich has money to burn, but even he can see that Harry isn’t worth a farthing. Roman has more qualified and intelligent people to spend/waste his money.

  60. tsGH says:

‘arry and his son i.e a grown man who bites his finger nails live on tv with the tightest trousers you can pick from Savile Row tailors deserves a primetime pay per view style tv show imo… lol

  61. Canadian Gooner says:

Who turned the House into a standup comedy club? It is a refreshing change from the usual moaning, whining &/or gnashing of teeth. I guess Harry actually does have a purpose in life. Although, he would have made a better clown if he had run away to the circus.

  62. Canadian Gooner says:

Rico – If Ozzy makes more sense to you, you must be growing some Sacred Herb on your country estate. You really do have to watch out for those country girls.

  63. tsGH says:

The cast of desperadoes are already assembled… Kim Kadashian was not in that was she Adam.lol

Feel Adam flush with the mention of the princess of KKK family. 😀

  64. Adam says:

CG. This is what makes HH different isn’t it? The constant struggle against negativity. 🙂 if it wasn’t for Rico I would sink into the pit of despair myself.

  65. emma says:

In summary of arry, QPR is going the portsmouth way and eventually disappears into oblivion. I only feel for Tony Fernandes. He should have stucked with Hughes despite the league position. Better relegated with less debt than debt that will lead to administration. Arry has taken the lad to Qatar for 2 wks break since its the FA cup weekend

Wanyama erm no go please. Not impressed with his performance to be honest

Wenger is not leaving soon. He is gradually building a team and will certainly want to see this project through. But I think he is on his last lap. He’s gotten the british core signed up till 2017/2018. Bringing in experience (Cazorla, podi, Giroud, monreal) and getting rid of the dead woods(loans). So it’s now left to get himself signed up till 2018

  66. tsGH says:

CG, Adam claims to go for a morning jog wearing either Chelsea and Westham jersey near Millwall grounds on a match days. He is a super man… lol

  67. Adam says:

Ah KK. If I was to tell you my true desires where she is concerned TS then I fear Rico would arrive at my door and wash my mouth out with soap. I am, as you know, an aficionado of the fuller figured woman.

  68. tsGH says:

Hey Emma, I bet you would have your lights on if ‘arry and his dog appeared on the last episode of ‘take me out’ lol 😉

  69. Canadian Gooner says:

Adam – Amen to that. It’s more fun than the proverbial barrel of monkeys. Now if our team can only keep us in this state of enlightenment.

  70. tsGH says:

What are you doing about Carol Vorderman’s new bf? I can get Goonster to get rid of him for a small fortune if you like 😀

  71. Canadian Gooner says:

tsGH – in those circumstances, “super man” is not the term I would use. As Adam is enjoying the fun, I’ll not spoil it for him.

  72. Adam says:

TS. Careful now. Where CV is concerned you are talking about a former Rear Of The Year winner.
    You tread on my dreams.
Her and KK? A stupendous proposition. 🙂

  73. rico says:

I am glad I keep you from you pit Adam 😉

Hi emma, I feel you may just be right about AW staying on for one last contract……

  74. Canadian Gooner says:

Rico – When I have bothered to listen to Ozzy ‘talk’, I’m not sure what language he is speaking, far less what he is trying to say. I don’t think he function without Sharon as ventriloquist.

  75. rico says:

I must go and walk Fido, it’s started to snow quite here and everywhere is nice and dry so it’s bound to settle 🙁

    Back in a short while…..

  76. Canadian Gooner says:

Emma – I too think Arsene will sign one more contract. He is getting all his ducks in order to build his last and possibly best team. Having done that, he will have ensured his legacy and the club’s future.

  77. W.A.T.H says:

Apparently so CG.. most went out looking to see what had gone on as “Night” had descended upon the masses but alas it was the sheer size of KK “arris” and when she moved daylight was restored…!

  78. emma says:

CG – Its the last hurray project I believe we will break the trophy duck soonest. Resources and players whom he built the team around has really constrained/let him down. I see us making some signing to compliment what we already have in the summer and push on from there next season.
This season is just a rebuilding phase. We all needs to be patient if peradventure we don’t end up in the champions league place which i hope we will. From all indications the team is gradually taken shape. From a team that you don’t know who will turn up to a team that turns up 45mins and hopefully to one that turns up 90mins.

  79. Canadian Gooner says:

Emma – Let us hope that Arsene goes out with a Big Bang and not a whimper.

Anyway, it has been a great day in the House, but sleep beckons. So good night from me, good night to our friends Down Under and a good afternoon to the rest of you.

  80. W.A.T.H says:

Cheers CG… sleep well and stay warm mate.
I say we’re 4 players away from being a top top squad… That’s obviously once we have got rid of the dross the rubbish and the layabouts… That would be Squlliaci and his agent AKA Adam…..

  81. Wavy says:

” ‘Arry an Rosie”, an interview with the lookalike couple and how their love blossomed as their faces morphed into each other.

A human interest story of love, admiration and bestial attraction. This would be a spin off from the ever popular programme ‘Winalot, the story that really takes the biscuit’.

All earnings will go to ‘arry’s charity of choice. Pooleside enterprises, a research unit for the cure of uncontrollable twitches and ticks.

    To be filed under dick-u-mentaries!

That’s it I’ve done, for now. No more ‘arry plot lines, you’ll have to wait until they are produced and shown on Channel 5

  82. ozgunner10 says:

7 years, 8 now of standing still and we believe he will change now?? He’s out of date, out of touch (with everything other than his musketeers and their profits) He stays we stand still – the team he has has managed to get 21 points off the pace already, they are not kids, not inexperienced – he lives a charmed life for sure

  83. Lee says:

    My missus just called me.

She said, “Three of the girls in the office have just received some flowers for Valentines Day, they are absolutely gorgeous.”

I said, “That’s probably why then”

  84. W.A.T.H says:

As it’s valentines day i’ve been out and bought the Mrs what every woman craves on a romantic day… Brand new state of the art dustpan and brush…!

  85. DutchGooner10 says:

    Afternoon Gooner familia,

Rico deja vu post yesterday and today. Not groundhog day reads, mind you. More like another fine post to remind them talk is cheap. Before you know it, players need to swallow their big words and we are accused of bullying their beliefs and confidence. Your absolutely right, enough cash has been thrown at them to put it where there mouths are.

  86. rico says:

He popped on briefly a little while ago and then went again Dg. Maybe I’ll email him and see if he’s ok. K-Tr7 is another.

  87. agirlagunner says:

Booooo! 🙂 Hello, all. I could never cheer on Pursey. Not after what he did. 😉 Hiya, Dutch and Shopping Buddy. 🙂 🙂

  88. DutchGooner10 says:

Kev rebuilding strength again, finally some solids to chop, couldn’t stomach much before. Tnx.

Hiya Agag. Expecting velvet boxed chocolates and some roses peddles on your doorstep tomorrow?

  89. agirlagunner says:

United’s season would go nowhere fast without Pursey So come on, Madrid, take it to him hard. 🙂 🙂 Come on, Ronaldo!

  90. agirlagunner says:

I hope you are well, Dutch. 🙂 And I would hate for anyone to try to peddle me some roses tomorrow. 😛

  91. DutchGooner10 says:

Will be posting stream links tonight for those interested in the game. ManU getting spanked red bottoms will do me.

  92. agirlagunner says:

    Ha ha Dutch.

rico, wouldn’t it just be poetic justice if he were to get injured and we’d see Citeh whittle away at their lead three points by three points etc., etc. 😀

  93. Wavy says:

RvP is overdue for his 9 month off knee knock ailment.
Do you think he claims sickness benefit when he’s not serviceable?
Whoever nails him will reopen the EPL race.

CORealMadrid spread manure all over The Bernabau!

  94. allezkev says:

No snow Rico, although it is cold enough…

    Real vs Manure?
Hmm, I want both of them to lose.

    Shopping buddy………. Boo

  95. DutchGooner10 says:

Be careful those crossed appendages don’t get permanently fixed in that position, rico. 😛

  98. Bradster says:

Jones is a thug. Can’t believe a European ref is letting him get away with the shoves that he’s doing.
I see Raphael getting sent off this game, he’s getting skinned. Santos-esque in his play.

  99. rico says:

And people wonder why so many youngsters have gambling problems, how many adverts are promoting betting?

    Shocking!

  100. rico says:

Didn’t one of the newspapers do a story on Dean and Arsenal, hopefully he read it and realised how biased he is….

  101. allezkev says:

Mike Dean, otherwise known as Mike Riley’s Arsenal assassin…

I am really beginning to hate that dwarf…

  102. rico says:

Arsene has them all lined up and in the bag….
