Afternoon all.
What a great achievement for the England Under 19 team. Having gone 1-0 down and under a fair amount of pressure from Israel, a second half equaliser to take the Euros final into extra time. Our young right-back didn’t start the final against Israel but came off the bench midway through the second half. Two goals in extra saw England crowned champions. Such an achievement might not mean much for fans of the top league game goes but for the players involved, it’s massive I think. As an Arsenal fan, I do wonder why only Brooke Norton-Cuffy was player from the club representing England. Maybe it’s because he enjoyed a successful five months on loan at Lincoln City. Maybe the rest of the under 19 Arsenal players aren’t as good or advanced as we perhaps hope/think they are although had Omari Hutchinson not switched from England to Jamaica, I’m sure he’d have been part of that winning team/squad.
Anyway, well done to Brooke who I’m sure has a great career ahead of him, hopefully at Arsenal as well as for England.
Pride in London will be in full swing as I type. If you’re there, I hope you’re having a great time and the rain has stayed up in the clouds. Well done to Mikel Arteta, the club, and the players for supporting GayGooners. Love the bus, love the support.
Talking of support, new signing Fabio Vieira was spotted wearing a protective boot yesterday after training but panic over, he’s not been on the receiving end of a Xhaka horror challenge, at least I don’t think he has.. lol
Fabio Vieira’s message to Arsenal fans after he was pictured today wearing a protective boot on his foot.
The squad is due to travel to Germany at the start of next week for a training camp ahead of next Friday’s opening pre-season game. pic.twitter.com/PrmXzbHos8

Gabriel Jesus still hasn’t been announced yet but we know he’s coming as he’s been captured on film walking on the Emirates turf wearing a number 9 shirt. I guess we won’t hear anything now until Monday.
Jordi Osei-Tutu has left the building. He’s joined Bundesliga side VfL Bochum in a permanent move, Daniel Ballard has gone too, to Sunderland. Matteo Guendouzi has as expected, been confirmed as a Marseille player. I’m sure more will follow them over the next few weeks as the club continue to prepare for the new season.
Cant say I’m overly concerned about who’s leaving though, not anymore as I’m more interested in who’s arriving and who’s stepping up from the academy.
Catch up in the comments.
Brentford on the verge of signing Hickey for £14 million.
Wonder why Arsenal aren’t all over this deal… Must have other ideas I guess.
G’day Rico. No news is, well no news actually. I can’t think why the Jesus signing hasn’t been announced, something in his medical perhaps?
Holding out in the hope of signing Lisandro Martinez? Rico.
Must be siesta time. 😉
Afternoon Cicero, a double signing perhaps? Lol
I still think one of Tielemans or Ruiz will be signed..
Good afternoon Rico and all.
Arsenal beat Ipswich 5-1 in a friendly. Nketiah scored a hat trick while Balogun and Sambi netted the other two.
Afternoon Devil, shame Ipswich aren’t in the PL. lol
The Ballard singing has strings attached . A Sunderland supporting friend has reported that apparently we have first refusal if they were to want to sell, or a good rake of the sell on fee.
Maybe were beginning to act like a business
Had to happen at some stage.
Afternoon Rico and all
The one good thing about the under 19 match was it gave the club a chance to see how our younger players looked in a different environment,
I hope Gunnersaurus ducked for the lower bridges if he stayed onboard,
Hi Geoff, only Norton-Cuffy was involved though. The friendly yesterday was better for the young guns.
I’m still getting over the England/Australia rugby test result, topped up by India’s first innings total and Stuart Broad going for 35 runs in one over. 😟
They were bizarre to say the least..
As was today’s Grand Prix Rico.
Without the halo, we would very likely have had a fatality on the opening lap. That was an horrendous crash.
Didn’t watch it today Cicero, too busy watching Norrie. I read about the crash though, nasty.
Norrie did we’ll.
Big rumours about this one Amadou Onana , sounds completely up Edu’s street.
Morning rico, all, my last in hot Camp de Mar, 5 day break. Finally we have the signing. Most impressive seems his attitude and his thanks for what life has given him. I’m optimistic he will be our best striker for years, as long as referees doubt let him get clogged, moment he is playing for us!
Morning Andrew, all.
Yes, I like what’s Jesus has being saying, especially about the club and Arteta.
New post up now
