Two out on loan, two set to leave but Cesc and Samir set to stay?

Young Guns reported yesterday that two of our youngsters could be staying out on loan again next season.

Levante is the club that wants the services of both Wellington Silva and Pedro Botelho. For Wellington it will be a second spell with the club but it would be Botelho’s first stint at the Spanish outfit.

Hopefully, new manager, Juan Ignacio Martínez will give Wellington more of a chance than he had last season and in return, maybe Wellington will quit the pizzas and pasties and finally knuckle down to prove his worth…

As far as Botelho goes, he has two years left on his contract but YG’s suggest he is yet to convince.

Nicklas Bendtner’s agent, and father, confirmed that German side Dortmund and Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon are interested in signing our centre forward and there is news coming out of the Turkish Press relating to Carlos Vela, suggestion is that Galatasaray are monitoring his situation, we’ll have to wait and see how much truth is both…

According to TalkS***E, we have made an offer for Will.I.Am… Yep, it’s true, we may not have Cashley anymore so we are after his Ex’s best mate… 😉

Ok, I jest and I am sure you didn’t need that explaining but the report is that we have finally opened talks with Shakhtar Donetsk for their playmaker Willian, and we have offered £12 Million and Denilson, so that would make the deal to be worth £13 Million 😉

Apparently Chelsea are keeping tabs on him to but they aren’t able to offer a talented player like Denilson in the deal so we could be favourites to secure his signature…

Finally I will make mention of Cesc Fabregas who yesterday said he is very happy at Arsenal right now and his future will be decided by his boss Arsene Wenger… He also said something about you can never say never in football…

Oh well, isn’t that what we heard last summer??

Nasri has also hinted at staying, further talks are due between him and Wenger so hopefully things will be resolved and he’ll sign a new contract in the next few days.

Sagna has also spoken about his future, he says he is 99 % happy with us and many of his French pals would love to be in his position and he hopes we will break the trophy duck one day real soon…

99% Bacary, keeping you options option then?

Only kidding, he’s one of our best and it’s good to hear him say he’s going nowhere….

That’s about it on another no news day, I’m not around much until later this afternoon so all have a good day….

i personally think RVP and his wife invited Cesc to NYC earlier in the summer to whisper a few sweet nothings in his ear (RVP i mean not his wife Cesc may have Barca DNA but hes not Rooney or Giggs) an let him know just where he belongs we need our die hard arsenal boys i.e RVP, Sagna, Wilshere and Arsene letting him know whats best for him at this moment in time he will go back to Barca at some point but he has to realize that he will be used in rotation for the next 3 years because of Xavi.

On the signings front all our main business will be done by the middle of July hopefully with Gervinho, Samba, Cahill and Willian all at the club with a few late fringe signings coming after i.e Oxlade-Chamberlain and other good youngsters closing in on first team action. I also like the idea of a Sagna Cahill Samba Vermaelen back 4 makes me a little excited to be honest, but were all entitled to dream a little LOL.

good times are coming i don’t know why but i can feel it have faith my fellow gooners and FORWARD!

    Mroning all,

Cesc is one smart cookie as he realised that the only way he can nailed down a regular place – and even as a starter ahead of Xavi – in Spanish Euro2012 squad is to play regular 1st team football at Arsenal.

And not warming the bench as 2nd fiddle to Xavi…and taking 6 to 9 months to integrate himself into BArca squad.

Cesc may very well had learned the lesson of Reyes leaving Arsenal for Real, warning the bench and promptly lost hsi place in the Spanish national squad.

Cesc can afford to wait for Euro2012, play one more season at Arsenal to burnish his image after Barca fans dropped him from their favorite list due to hisi abysmal performance at Nou Camp during 2-Leg CL Cup.

And why I am confident that he will stay on for one more season to make it into the SPanish Euro2012 and WC2014 squad.

Csec is not thick like Reyes and knew that time is on his side as Xavi is ageing and running down his contract – refusing to sign any extension – to force Arsenal to sell him in summer 2012 else his valuation will drop drastically in summer 2013 with only 2 years of his contract remaining.

2011/12 season is really Wenger’s “Last Chance Saloon” to win the title or CL CUp as an incentive to convince Cesc that Arsenal is the place for him, and not Barca.

    Nasri?
I doubt whether Wenger will break his rigid salary scale to accommodate Nasri. Nasri is not as dispensable as Cesc and Wenger will rather force Cesc to honor hsi contract to stay one year, than to pay that obscene sum as “demanded” by Nasri.

I think it is “bye bye” Nasri……..same route as WIltord, Edu, Hleb and Flamini.

  4. Steve Palmer says:

    Morning all,
Merlin96 if Cesc stays with us this year i believe he will stay till his thirty if we was going to sell him at all his worth was at its highest last year, before his Hamstring problems, i think your right that interest in him has diminished somewhat after this season but i still believe he has a lot to offer. A fully fit Fabregas is without doubt quality and if we can get his fitness back will be a great asset to us, Nasri is also top quality but both players need a full season playing like we know they can. People believe that Nasri is pushing hard for his demands, i believe we should wait untill player and manager have agreed a deal one way or the other before we cast aspersion IG said the other night he would not discuss single players contracts so dont be in too much of a hurry to write him off, our midfield is going to get pretty congested with Jack and Aaron and the rest, and maybe a new signing as well what with our youngsters who are knocking on the door, so many players with only eleven places up for grabs, we know who will probably not fit into our team in the future and they should be released but two experienced player like Cesc and Nas surly we need to keep them.

    Hi Rico, and Guys, 🙂

Just popped on for a read of an amusing Post, and thought I would mention there is a typo! 🙂

In the sentence, “we have finally opened talks with Shakhtar Donetsk for their playmaker Willian, and we have offered £12 Million and Denilson, so that would make the deal to be worth £13 Million”, didn’t you mean — “so that would make the deal worth £8m”? 🙂

    See you later.

  6. Adeniran says:

I tnk there are many players beta dn Nasri,if he is nt ready 2sign a new contract let’s sell me n buy a beta player no body is indespensable

  7. ArsenalDK says:

Good morning everyone. A bit quiet today?

These Samba/Cahill/Gervinho rumours just won’t go away. If we could get those three, i would be more than satisfied with the transfer window.

I’m especially excited about the Willian rumour. I’ve watched him many times for Shaktar, as my friend is a big fan of them. He’s really fast, and has an exceptional crossing ability! With his and theo’s pace, we could really do a lot of damage!

  8. goonerstan says:

Yeah will but we ve just signed someone for crying out loud shouldn’t there be a frenzy out here…..

  9. Sylvester says:

Arsenal is always gud but 4 now i tink we need leaders jst lik they say no fantastic &fancy players.

  10. goonerstan says:

yep goon blog is running the story…….hope we get that willian dude……he’s unbelievably fast….

  11. Merlin96 says:

    Hi Steve,
I don’t think we had seen the best of Cesc due to exhaustion in the aftermath of WC2010, plus all his niggling injuries..and his self-doubt on his future at Emirates, akin to Gerrard’s tapping after WC2006 till he made a last second U-turn to stay at Liverpool.

A fully-fit Cesc, without distraction over his future will improve beyond what he did in 2009/10 season. 2010/11 season is just a dip in form.
As long as he banished self-doubt on his future and brushed aside (for the moment) on returning to Barca, buckled down and drive the team as a boan fide Captain, snarling and hungry for success, then we will have a glimpse of 24 year old Fabregas at his best..and most frightening, not even hitting his peak when he is 27 or 28 year old.

Fabregas will onyl stay if he sees on the pitch that finally, Arsene Wenger had nurtured and built hsi 3rd and greatest Arsenal team, one that will dominate premiership and Europe for years, winning titles and trophies virtually every year……and a team that will supplant Barca within 2 years, and perhaps even in 2012!!!!

Agreed, the key is to retain a “core” of those experienced players that had played togetehr for 2 to 3 years and can only get better in 2011/12 season:
    The “Core” is:
    1 – Van Persie
    2 – Fabregas
    3 – Arshavin
    4 – Nasri
    5 – Walcott
    6 – Song
    7 – Sagna
    8 – Vermaelen
    9 – Fabianski
    10- WIlshere

Wenger needs only to buy 3 or 4 players to strengthen the squad, e.g. a 20-goal striker, a DCM, one or two hulky and physical thug of 6″ 4″ CB, LB and one more playmaker with blazing pace.

We need more experienced players to deepen the squad so that Wenger can rotate the squad seamless durign the February/March/APril/May crunch period when games are played once every 3/4 days during these 4 months.

If we can banished that hoodoo of that perennail horrendous injury list from November onward and that annual February Collapse, we have a better than fair chance to win 2011/12 title as ManU, CHelski, Liverpool and even ManC are in transition rebuidling ageing squad or trying to blend 11 no. new players into a team….

SUccess begtes Success and surely will persuade players to stay loyal in a winning culture like The French Spine of Vieira, Henry, Pires, WIltord, Freddy and Bergy.

  12. Steve Palmer says:

Apparently we have a signing,Pat Rice has signed for another year, just what i didn’t want to hear. Not that i don’t like Pat but i think its time for change. There is also a rumour that PV is having a medial with us, i can only assume unless he’s trying to get life insurance that he will be joining the back room staff, bout time.

  13. Steve Palmer says:

Sorry Merlin never saw your comment. Although I understand where your coming from, I have to say that I don’t believe we need major change in the team, we know our short comings and realise we need to offload the deadwood, Where we differ is the acquisitions of new players. I am not happy with our back room staff, I believe we will offload players that have come through the Arsenal program and because we have seen them in a bad light let them go, and then bring outsiders in because they are tall big players that have been coached elsewhere, Our defenders as far as Wenger is concerned should know how to defend I don’t share that view. Players will always learn as they go along they need the right teachers. Forget the past with all the greats and think about Proper Arsenal men furthering their education with good tutors The odd player when we haven’t got one in reserve is fine, but any more and we might as well pack our youngster program down.

  14. Will says:

Biggest thing we need to do is as you say Steve, offload the dead-wood. I think three top class signings and we win and maybe dominate for the next 5 to 7 years.

  15. Sylvester says:

Wenga wanted benzima&ozil last season y is he not goin afta him now he has more tym nd money???

  16. Lee says:

No RIco, but my mate is on honeymoon in Dubai and Cahill,Parker and Defoe are all staying at his hotel….I’ve told him to tell two of em to sign up!! 😉

  17. JonJon says:

i dunno about defoe but id take the other two..
i liked defoe before he started his love afair with the spuds and although hes better than bendtner i dunno if id want him here..

if we keep cesc and nasri and we sign samba and cahill for cb and parker and vieira for cm and use what we have left for one big attacking name..benzema or hazard then we did some good business this window. (providing we get rid of the passenger players)

defoe and downing dont really do it for me..

  18. rico says:

Defoe is a funny one, his form has gone, he is no longer a fav at the spuds – but, he is a clinical finisher but i can’t see wenger going for him, not if the gervinho stuff is to believed…

  19. Lee says:

Nor me JJ…. you think TV will be our left back if Clichy leaves? I tee’d that up for you Rico!!! 🙂

  20. rico says:

You know what Lee, that four would do for me, the defence would be the best in a long while and even though Gervinho and Will.I.Am are not PL ready, I reckon they would slot in….

Yep, I’d be bloody happy with that four and the a surprise in the last few days of the window….

  21. rico says:

jj, some still suggest that Gervinho is a smokescreen for Hazard, you know that rumour site i love to read 😉

  22. rico says:

So McLeish is the new Villa manager…

Who said Mark Hughes was a done deal 😉

I hope Hughes goes and destroys the Chavs 🙂

  23. JonJon says:

    im not convinced..
i dunno why i think hes better than bendtner but i also think theres better than gervinho..

  24. rico says:

jj, for sure there is better than gervinho but at what cost?

Maybe Wenger is spending most of his money on sorting the defence and looking at the forward line a bit differently – to be fair, the defence has to be the priority…

there is something i like about gervinho’s attitude about wanting to join us – he is almost desperate, by that imean he really wants to play for us – we don’t know if the deal is done, but if it is, then i just have a feeling he’s going to make a bit of an impact ….

don’t ask me why though 😉

  25. Lee says:

Rico’s better than bendtner JJ!! I’m with you on the gervinho front…I’d prefer benzema or eto but they’d be too much dough for AW!!

  26. Lee says:

I can also see where Rico is coming from… a player that is desperate to play for us, we need a few more like that!! If we get the majority of these signings we’ll be a force next season!!!

  27. JonJon says:

we’ll have to see how it pans out but im just weary to the fact wenger signs squillacis from time to time..
i just hope he gets his transfers cock on this time..

  28. rico says:

Same with Sagna’s comments Lee, he said about many a French player would love to be in his shoes…

We all cry out for players who want to play in the AFC red and white, yes, if i am honest i would love them all to be Arsenal born and bred, but we can’t have that now – we have to wait for them…

I don’t know why but I just like the sound of this guy, it may all be spin, we won’t know until he gets here, if he gets here and how he performs. That will soon tell us all we need to know…

  29. rico says:

For me jj, and like Steve said a couple of days ago, get the defence in and we all know in ‘wenger world’ anything after that will be a bonus…

To be fair to Wenger, his striker signings are normally far better than his defensive ones 😉

Nik has been the author of his own downfall imho – he should have taken his chance by now, he’s been too busy telling uw all how good he is instead of concentrating on what he should be doing on the pitch when he had his chances…

He works a moment of magic one day then we don’t see that again for another season….

  30. JonJon says:

    he could be another wiltord
nothing flashy..just a decent player who can play wide and has an eye for goal.
as long as he can do a job 10mils a snip.

  31. rico says:

Spot on jj, exactly my thought too – we stop the goals and we are 75% there – we need somthing different up front and you just never know with gervinho – at least he can play on the wing 😉

  32. rico says:

Today I am going to Will, tomorrow no doubt I will be back to feeling negative… 😉

Anyway, I am done in, long day and all that so I’ll see you all tomorrow..

    Stay safe, Nighty Nighty all…..

  33. Joaquim moreira says:

Shakhtar Donestk Arsenal rejected a proposal by Brazilian Douglas Costa, who included Denilson in the exchange.
According to the agent revealed the average Brazilian, Cesar Bottega, the Ukrainian club have rejected a proposal from Arsenal for not “be interested in Denilson, accepting only cash for Douglas Costa.”
This leaves the door open for Naples, which in recent months has shown interest in midfield but, however, has not presented any concrete proposal to Shakhtar.
