Torreria comits to Arsenal. Welbeck sends out clear message..

‘ I like putting my life into every action, in every ball.’

Morning all.

I love footballers from South America. They’re grafters, winners and most appear to have such a wonderful attitude to what they do on the pitch. There’ll always be the exception to the rule, or in this case, my opinion but I’m really struggling to think of a South American footballer who played in England, who’s been lazy. Even the biting cheating Suarez was and still is an exceptional footballer, as was the ghastly Maradona and our once very own Alexis Sanchez who’d I’d welcome back in a heartbeat. Messi isn’t bad either is he?

Go on, name a few lazy South American players and put me in my place….

During an interview on the Arsenal Player, Torreira went on to say:

“I am getting used to the Premier League style, a very physical and intense one,” I am a very particular player. I like putting my life into every action, in every ball.

“I never save any energy and I always give my best until the end. My teammates understand my way and reciprocate by helping the team so we get things done.

“I come from another country, another life and another lifestyle. But I am a very normal guy, very natural. I am not keeping myself too busy after doing my work. I devote my time to training and improving as a footballer.

“I live with my girlfriend and sometimes we go and visit all the emblematic things in town. London is one of the most important cities in the world and I feel very happy here. I am adapting to many new things and I hope I can stay in London for a long time

See, he’s dedicated to football and as his last sentence would suggest, Arsenal although London has plenty of of other clubs but none with the class of ours. Ok, I’m biased.

Danny Welbeck isn’t giving up on a return to his best form despite suffering a nasty break to his ankle. He’s sent a strong message to the Arsenal fans in ‘Arnie’ fashion.

Back home… Thanks for all the love and support. No doubt I will be back stronger than ever before. Recovery grind starts now.

It’s certainly going to be a long road to recovery for him and I doubt we’ll see him play again this season. I hope we’ve not seen the last of him in an Arsenal shirt though as he’s a bit like those footballers from South America, he always gives 100%. Welbeck is a bit of a marmite player player among fans though, or it seems that way reading around the internet and that’s probably because he doesn’t score as many goals as we’d expect him to, certainly from the positions he gets himself into. But this season he’s looked different he’s been scoring goals and he looks a much better player than he’s been in the past. I hope he’s already been offered a new contract, better still, he’d already signed one. If he has it’s a win win situation for the club because either we’ll benefit from his performances or we’ll be able to sell him for a fee.

To get a player like him costs money and by all accounts we don’t have much of that. Pff! I don’t believe that rumour for one minute…

There won’t be a post every day during this international break. Yes I know, I can hear the hoorays from here..

Be good…

First casualty of the PL season as Fulham manager sacked. Claudio Ranieri has taken over…

Didn’t Fulham spend big back in the summer too?

Morning Rico. Let’s wait until the biggest clubs come knocking for Torreira with shed loads of cash and dodgy payments into offshore accounts.

Kev, he said he couldn’t join another English league club. But will he remember that he said it?😄 So, perhaps manure may benefit from his 50 years of managerial experience!

    Warm and windy here.

Ha ha, I can just see Wenger sitting in the home dugout at Old Toilet with Old Rednose sitting behind him. No I don’t think he would go back on his word about managing another English Club, although he’s missed out on the Real Madrid job for this season at least.

Warm and sunny here with just enough wind to bring down another lot of leaves, after I cleared them all yesterday.

Alex Song didn’t have too good a time at Rubin Kazam. The house he was promised on signing never materialised, he was moved out of his hotel and made to live at the training ground virtually on his own, couldn’t get in the team and wasn’t paid any wages. He’s still owed £7.9 million.

    Hi Rico,
We only really see the best S American footballers. There are thousands who don’t make the big time and probably and statiscally a fair share of lazy ones. Just my opinion 🙂
Must say these constant international breaks seem to be getting worse; more and longer or is it just me?

Hi Reg, I did say South American in England… lol

Thankfully, this is the last break until next year.

Hi Rocky, good to see you back, all well I hope?

    Shit, Rocky has returned 🙂
Good to see you back mate.
Rico, for the second day in a row, I name Andre Santos but this time it’s your fault lol
    He’s definitely the exception, though.
Most South Americans give their all and work for the team, except our little mate, Alexis.
He can rot where he is, for mine, as he and Jose deserve each other 🙂 🙂

Evening Rico! Sorry, posted then had to clear up a load of my daughters vomit! The high life!

How are we all? Not bad this end ta. Busy busy busy!

Thoughts I’d check in after something like a 3 year hiatus!
